(00:38):
rich Instagram? It made me lo o l out loud.
It was Jenna, our social media person, put together this
set the equestrian Yes race. Did you listen to it?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yes' same. It totally made me laugh out loud and
I was like, oh my gosh, Jenna, you're so funny.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
So she's commentating as we're running around the building with
these fake horses doing whatever race and jumping over stuff.
It's really silly, but it's very topical. But when she
called the names of the horse, she called Kyle's horse Camo,
jacket was dying. That was so funny because it's so
inside what goes on here. If you don't know, Kyle
wears his stupid camo jacket every day because she's cool.
(01:15):
I know, I know, but it's like, I hate that jacket.
Sometimes she takes the jacket off with it and we
come back. I feel like you changed wardrobe. What she's
calling the horse camo jacket. I thought it was so funny.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah. I was actually literally in bed ready to go
to bed and could not stop laughing.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
So it was awesome. Anyway, that's on at John Jay
and Rich on Instagram. You can see it right now
and turn up the volume and listen to It's so funny. Okay,
so it's back to school time. My son Dutch started
school yesterday. Kyle had to lead to go meet the
teachers and all that stuff. Yesterday. Choo starts today.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
No, their first day is tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Okay, And how was that going? Because I remember from
growing up that it was always back to school clothes
and go shopping. And I you said to Dutch yesterday,
I was like, did you have a good outfit? And
he goes, I have swag?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, back to school job? He was always like my
favorite part of school, like you know, getting school supplies
and doing all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I hated that, Oh I loved it so much.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
And up until now, like my kids don't really or
haven't really cared about getting new clothes for school or
really getting anything for school. And I told you guys,
a couple of months ago, I got them new backpacks
because I found them and I was like, just get
them now, and they were so excited, and I was like,
this is pretty cool. Well, I had taken the kids,
(02:28):
both of them to the mall over the weekend, and
Easton was like not having it, and shopping with a
kid who's not having it could be one of the
most stressful things I've ever experienced. And so and Addie
was like, but Mom, I really won't shop for new
school clothes. Can we go together alone? And I was
like alone time, Yes, So I literally I took her
(02:49):
to the mall alone. It was just me and her,
and it was like I saw a totally different kid,
Like she was into shopping.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
This has never happened before.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Never, She's looking at the clothes. We're in the dressing room,
she's she's trying these shirts on and she's going.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
This is totally different you, and I feel like I've
officially entered my tween mom era because she turns ten
in September, and I just feel like, for some reason,
this is the jump right here. Sounds like now she
wants to go to the mall.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I'm so excited for you. Like, I love that for you.
That's so cute.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I was like, and then like, I don't know if
you guys did those, but like our parents were by
us like a couple new outfits and you couldn't wear
them until school started, and she's been so excited to
like wear her new outfits. She wanted to wear one
of them to meet the teacher and I was like, okay,
And then she wanted to wear one of them to
a birthday party and I'm like, I don't know, okay.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
It's like so.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Exciting for her to be into this, And so now
that's that's where we're at, you guys.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
So it's so funny. I remember being a kid growing
up and my sister and my mom going and shopping
and I hated it, and my mom eventually go to
Kmart or Walmart with my sister without me and bring
me back my clothes, yep, and I hated it. There
was something about back to school shopping that signaled as
a boy, the end of summer, of course, and I
was like, who makes that? Doesn't make sense. But my
(04:19):
son Dutch, he's very much into fashion and looking cool.
And remember, I'll tell you guys about this website. If
found the other day that I've been buying all my
clothes from.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, but you were gatekeeping telling anybody.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
The website because it's like these designers in La and
you can get jeans for thirty eight dollars, you can
get jackets for forty dollars. I showed it to him
and he went off and he goes, Dad, look at
my cart, And so I went to his car and
he had all these cool things. I was like, oh,
that is so cool. I almost got that too. I
feel like I'm on the same page as him. Are
you guys gonna be bummed if he picked picked the
same thing you picked. I saw what he picked, Okay,
I was like, I almost I almost picked that hoodie.
(04:50):
It's really really cool stuff. You'll see. There's definitely going
to be a change in the room here. Okay, Well,
I'm but picture this. It's like, I'll be dressing if
I'm a guy, a male Walipa.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
O is there? Like do you have a shipping notification?
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Do we need.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
To mentally prepare ourselves for this new fashion?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I just got the email it says it was one
of those that says hold on like your orders on
the way, order has been shipped. Those are the best
type of message.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
You're like, it's coming.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
It was very excited anyway, So weeah back to school time.
There's such great memories and also traumatic memories
