Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kyle, what do we need to know today?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
The Lindsey Clancy case somehow got even more complicated after
the mistrial because her attorney publicly asked President Trump to
pardon her, except the president can't pardon someone facing state
charges in Massachusetts. And he was interviewed afterwards and they
were like, I think you already know the law there,
so why announce publicly that you're asking the president that question?

(00:22):
And he was like, well, what better way to get
the word out there? And he's got good connections, so
maybe he can talk to someone who can make that choice.
In the meantime, jurors are speaking out about the 11-1
deadlock the foreperson claimed. The loan holdout actually admitted he
had reasonable doubt, but still wouldn't change his vote. Lindsay

(00:42):
hasn't been convicted. She hasn't been acquitted. Prosecutors can try
her again. And the date they will decide that is
September 29th. Apple has its huge iPhone event today. Everyone's like, oh,
my gosh. After years of watching Samsung and Google and
all the other companies do foldable phones, iPhone may actually

(01:02):
have a foldable iPhone. If they do end up releasing
it today, it will be called apparently the iPhone Duo.
It will start around $ 2, 000. Good God. Possibly with Apple
Pencil support. This does happen to be CEO John Ternus'
first major product launch since taking over for Tim Cook.
So it's kind of like all eyes are on you, John.

(01:24):
The event starts at 10 o'clock our time. They're also
expecting the iPhone 18 Pro models, new Apple Watches, and
possibly some new AirPods.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
You know that guy, that CEO guy? He started working
for Apple like in 2002, 2003. And he was a
tech and he was making like $ 200, 000 a year.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Then he moved up and he was making like $ 500, 000
a year.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
And now he's the CEO and he makes $ 26 million
a year.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
A big jump. Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Good career move. That's insane.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
I want to know if this new iPhone flip or
whatever is a part of the iPhone upgrades that I
pay for every month on my phone bill. Because I
want it. I want what you got, Kyle, over there.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
It looks nice. You have a good camera.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
You can watch your.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
TV on there. It's pretty cool. Although, you know, normally
I jump in, but that's just too high of a
price to jump in. Yeah. Plus, I heard there's... I
probably won't. You would do it.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
No, I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I've heard some negative stuff about the new flip phone
thing that they have the duo that there's some issues
right now.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
So I would wait until the next one comes out.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Yeah, until like the second version.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Plus, I kind of like what mine does now, right now.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I don't need it to be any better. I just
need it to do what it does.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Girl Scouts are adding some cookies next year. Cookie season
will expand. Apparently, they've been leaving out a very important customer,
our dogs.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
They are launching Patch Pals. Soft-baked blueberry muffin-flavored treats made
specifically for dogs. So these are cookies that are not
meant for you. You don't get to eat these. Plus,
they are releasing a new human cookie called Sparkables, an
oatmeal cookie chip sprinkle cookie that is gluten-free, vegan, and
free of the nine major food allergens. So those little

(02:59):
Girl Scouts can sell more and more and more and
more and more. Both are online only and start shipping
when the 2027 deadline. cookie season launches in January, right
when everyone's trying to get fit.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Here in town, we got a pretty wild first look
at the future of flying. Right here, Joby Aviation brought
an autonomous aircraft to Deer Valley Airport. The plane was
supervised by a pilot on the ground instead of somebody
in the cockpit. So yeah, they're like, yeah, you got
self-driving cars. Why not self-driving airplanes? And Airplanes kind of

(03:33):
fly themselves once they're up in the air. But as
far as like the takeoff and landing and someone in
the cockpit, that just wasn't part of this.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I think landing is important. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
But self-driving everything now. The cool thing is, is here
in Phoenix, this is actually the first stop in the
entire country for this demo tour. So Arizona got to
see it before everyone else, which I loved.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
It's kind of giving like drone. Like I feel like
I can see him just down on like a remote. Exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Just flying in and around. We are in the future,
you guys. As far as the D-backs goes, there are
only 16 games left till we find out. Did we
get to the playoffs or not? And we are still
half a game ahead of the Padres because like we
keep winning and then they keep winning and then we
lose and then they lose. And so we play the
Royals tonight in Kansas City. Hopefully, we can pull off

(04:19):
a win and pull ahead of San Diego, but that's
a little update for you, and that's what you need
to know.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Sarah. Sarah, good morning. You're on the air.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Good morning, guys. How are you?

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Good.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
How are you? What's going on?

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Well, I was just driving to work, and I wanted
to call and give you guys a big thank you
because I won tickets to Shaboos TV, and I went
last night, and I had such an amazing time.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
So I wanted to.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Say thank you very, very much.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
That's awesome.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
The tickets were amazing. I had like the best seats
and I just enjoyed it from start to finish. And
his opening act, Brittany, she was amazing. I was like,
I've never seen you girls, but hey.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I'm so glad you called to give us an update.
That's so nice, Sarah. Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
No, I appreciate you guys because it's been a long
time since I've even seen a concert. So I was like,
oh my gosh, I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Well, thank you for listening.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
He put on a really great show. So you guys
did an amazing job and I appreciate you all very, very,
very much.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Thanks, Sarah.

Speaker 3 (05:11):

Speaker 1 (05:21):
