Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Jeff, what's up, man?

Speaker 2 (00:00):
You're on the air. Hey, so I called in last week.
I was talking about Lanterns with you guys.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
And you told me to watch the Ray Gunn documentary
on Netflix. Yeah. Fantastic. It was amazing. Right.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
I agree with.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
You. I did not realize that that culture was as
weird as it is, but it's great.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Is it still in the Olympics or are they taking out?

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I feel like they took it out.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
They took us. You know, maybe because of that, it's
no longer going to be Olympics.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
I'm like, we don't need to embarrass, but they kept
curling in.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I hate Jeff. Let me bounce a couple other TV
shows off you. Did you watch on Netflix? The whole
Donald Trump, uh, taking the president, sneaking him out of
the airplane. It's like number two on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I have not. I heard you guys talking about it
this morning, and I'm going to have to watch it
now since it's only like a 28-minute documentary. Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Let's go. It's really good. Okay, did you watch the
most recent, the whole Monsters of God?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yes, that is like, I'm so glad that they Tiger
King lizards for that. It just makes me so happy.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
If you guys, it's so it's five episodes. The most
recent episode came out Sunday. I watched it yesterday and
what I, it's so fascinating about this reptile drug smuggling
ring and they're going after this guy, Anson Wong, right?
And they're building up to it. And it's so interesting
how I'm not, I mean, I'm not ruining it. It's
a documentary, but they, they get him and the way
they get him is unbelievable. And they actually get him

(01:21):
on the documentary to talk about what happened.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
And then I was wondering if he was going to
be on.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
I just started that episode. He's on.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
And then, and then the last episode, it like takes
place here. Like one of the guys, there's one of
the guys that's talking throughout the documentary and you find
out at the end that he, he has still, and
he lives here. He's got stuff here.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Like dragons and things.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
And it's really loony. And then there's one guy who
helped catch Ensign Wong. He's from here. It all comes
down to here.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
That show goes so sideways so fast. I think I'm
only on episode three or four, but they're getting into
the drugs being brought in along with it and all
the millions of pounds of cocaine that they're smuggling underneath
snakes in a bag.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
It's just ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
This documentary has me like nervous in a weird way.
It's my bonus daughter. She actually works at the herpetological center.
And like before this documentary, I'm like, maybe she'll meet
a nice guy at work.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
And I'm like, don't date anyone in that industry.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
That guy, Anson Wong, the guy that the main guy
that did it, he's, he got prison time. He's out.
And he's like, I came back stronger than before. And
now he can't, he's banned from the United States and
he's in Malaysia and he is smuggling things like crazy.
And it's the big, the business is bigger than it's
ever been before. It's like a $ 9 billion business. So
that's on HBO max. I recommend that. And then the,

(02:49):
the new lanterns is pretty kick-ass too. Did you see
that Jeff?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I haven't had a chance yet because of my work schedule.
And so I'm going to get into it, but the third,
but Oh, episode three was so good. I can't wait
to watch episode four. I'm actually going to probably get
ready to do that before I go to bed because
I just got off work.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Well, today, there's a lot of TV today now. Today
drops the new Reacher. Are you guys up to date
on Jack Reacher?

Speaker 6 (03:13):
Yes, but not the newest episode.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
The episode, not the one that came out today, but
last week's episode, I don't know how he's going to survive.
I know.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
He literally is like, we're about to die.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
It should start off today where he's dead because there's
no way this guy can survive.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
And Jack Reacher always gets himself into these situations where
he's dead. about to die or he's about to get
busted and then somehow finds his way out and this
is the first time i've ever heard him say we're
gonna die.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
In 30 minutes we are gonna be dead and then
they cut to 30 minutes and something happens and it's
like well yeah i guess that's it but i'm gonna
watch the first five minutes of the episode just during
that during the next song we play.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Okay good idea just to make.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Sure he's okay and then there's a new ted lasso
that drops today too and by the way tennis last
night if anyone watched tennis last night carlos alcarez lost
to ben shelton It was a late, late night tennis.
I went to bed at eight and my wife was like,
I'm going to stay up and watch this. And so I,
it didn't start till 11.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Four hours.

Speaker 6 (04:06):
They didn't stop. I think the time literally stopped at
three 33.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
They've been playing. Those two played tennis together against each other.
I'm going to say like 15 times and Carlos Alcaraz
has beat him every time. So it was really big deal.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Did you see him like throwing up into his towel?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Because he lost?

Speaker 6 (04:21):
No, because he was like just giving it his all.
Like Ben Shelton was giving him a run for his money.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yeah. All right, Jeff. Have a great day, darling. Call
in anytime you want to talk TV. I love talking TV.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Of course, man.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Thanks, man. Chelsea, you want to talk TV? What do
you got, Chelsea?

Speaker 7 (04:38):
Yeah, so I wanted to see if anybody's been caught
up on The Lioness. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
That's my favorite show.

Speaker 7 (04:47):
Yes, mine too. And I love how they've implemented the
war between Russia and Ukraine. And, you know, because it
kind of makes you think, like, what's the conspiracy really
behind all of this? And where are they getting their information?
I mean, anyway, the episode is crazy. The last episode,
episode six, was just hard to watch because you want
her to be found this whole time, but... No spoiler alerts,

(05:08):
but yeah, I just want to see where everybody's at
on the episode and what they think.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Okay, so you say no spoiler alert, but let me
tell you, there's a girl, Zoe Saldana, she's been kidnapped
by the Iranians and the Russians, and they're torturing her
little by little.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Right.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
And I had so much anticipation for this episode because
I didn't know, because it's brutal, the torture stuff they
show her, right? In fact, the scene where the guy
tells her what he's going to do to her is
so disturbing.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
She starts crying.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
It's so disturbing. So before that episode dropped, I follow
her on Instagram, and she holds up a fake foot.

Speaker 7 (05:40):
Yeah, with a toe cut off.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
With a toe cut off. And I'm like, what? Oh,
my God, they must cut off her toe. Sure enough,
the guy takes a knife and snaps her toe. And
there's blood and she starts screaming. I'm like, no wonder
she won an Academy Award because when I'm watching it,
I believe her toe guys.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
That show, it's almost like I feel like you're watching
something you're not supposed to be watching. Like they're giving
us information about how stuff really works in espionage that
you should not know.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
And I got to believe there's some truth to it.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Totally.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
I feel like there's some things in TV that like
you just can't make that stuff up.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
They just did it.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
They just gave you the, well, that's what they say.
They say, if you want to share a truth, do
it through art.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Right.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Right.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
So I wonder how much of that is legit. Sounds
like a lot.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I believe it, too. I believe all of it. Chelsea,
thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening. Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Bye.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
Have a great day. Bye.
