Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wake, John Jay and Rich what's crack a leg?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
And this is the big boss doll snoopy deagle, double
gigsel dang boom, what you don't do.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
We're not talking about rid ten team.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
We're not talking about last year.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It's the one and only does the last last.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Eagle double gisel in your face to be and in
the place to be.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
And you're listening to John Jay and Rich Wakes John J.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Rich our phone number eight seven seven nine three seven
one oh four seven. The text line you text J
j R. Whatever's on your mind in nine six eight
ninety three. I saw this yesterday and I have not
seen anybody else talk about it, and I think it's
a pretty big deal. But President Trump acknowledged that soccer

(00:46):
is the biggest sport in the world.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Yeah it is, right, and soccer everywhere else. But here's
called football. They call it.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
They call football our football everywhere else American football. And
Trump is pushing for a new name for American football,
not for soccer, No.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
He says.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
President Trump says soccer is the real football, so the
American sport should be renamed. So now they've been posting
and people have been taking a poll and there's actually
a front runner. But like, these are the top names
that they're talking about. Can you imagine? Also, we can't
call it football anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
It does kind of make sense because the only part
of football that is actually football is when the kicker
goes out.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
You're right, which is why soccer is football be more handball.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
So one of the names is yardball. This really sticks
to the Europeans with the anti metric system. Your yard ball,
that's when I can't see it calling yard ball. Another
name for football is end zone. There's ameraball, trump ball,
DraftKings ball. Now they're talking spoworship, tackle football, just tackle pigskin.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
People use that or people say pigskin because.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
That's what like the football leather is made out of?

Speaker 6 (02:01):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Or was millionaire fight club? Uh? Kickball? That he is taken?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yeah, this is the number one name that everyone's like,
if they were to change the name of football to this,
this is the number one name. It seems to be
the most popular response. It's called grid iron. Grid Iron
is not bad.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
I like grid iron and end zone so far.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah, just like aren't those already football terms?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, that's why it makes sense. Yeah, you don't use
end zone in soccer. You don't use grid iron. Soccer
don't or you know European football.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
I liked handball and.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I like.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Sports in the Olympics, it's a sport in the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Apparently, grid iron already is the technical name for football.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
It is a technical name for the field.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
We're going to go to the go go play grid iron.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
I just keep it.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Here's the thing, here's what they're trying to do with
American football. And that's why one of the reasons Bad
Bunnies performing in the Super Bowl is because they're trying
to make it internation.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yes, this means international.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
We're trying to go international. They're trying to grow.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Make the biggest sport in the world.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Because soccer is played everywhere, Basketball's now played everywhere, Baseball's
played everywhere, but football is pretty much just here. That's
why they always say, oh, you're you're the world champions. Really,
no one plays football. They don'tlay football in Spain. So
they tried to do it in India and it didn't take off.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Do you know, just like everything else in America, we
just sort of take over and do our thing. Why
don't we just make everybody else who calls it football,
called it soccer, and then we keep football, and then
we just keep everything the same.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
What we are Now you're confusing me. Now here's the thing, though,
Peyton just went to her first. You went to your
first NFL.

Speaker 6 (03:43):
Game, my very first NFL game, So I feel like
the like what they're trying to do with trying to
make football get out there even more is working. Because
of my twenty seven years of age, I have never
ever been to.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
An NFL game.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Which game did you go?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Do?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
We went to the Cardinals Rams game.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
All the games and game.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Bt BTA me, Kelsey, my friend Haley and her girl
from Boston, so Haley and Boston they have I think
season tickets so they go all the time. But this
was my first one that I ever went, and it
was so much fun. The weather was beautiful, the dome
was out. It sucks that we got smacked, seriously, it
was a complete blowout, but we had so much fun,

(04:24):
so much fun, and we were taking pictures like we
had our little digital camera and this guy from the
top started throwing shade at us. Apparently we were taking
too many pictures because he was like, get off your
tablet and we were like, it's not a tablet, it's
a camera. But now I'm like, is the new digital
cameras becoming gen Z's tablet? We always have a camera

(04:46):
on us, always like a legit digital.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
So somebody down the way that was on a tablet,
he was, and they weren't talking to you because the
phone and a tablet is pretty different.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Smart.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
He was trying to be smart. Is I think what
he was trying to do?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
That's what I think out or maybe you guys just
thought everything's about you guys.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Maybe right now the whole crowd is.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
And I tried to do that doctor that you see
that TikTok trend where it's like everybody clap if you
think I have a fat butt, and then everyone starts
cheering and you record them.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
But it's really for the game. It's not because you
have a big booty.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Have you ever seen that?

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Hilarious?

Speaker 3 (05:29):
That's funny what I want to do?

Speaker 2 (05:31):
You see the trend where these are things that I
have not put up my butt, yes, and then these
are things spoiling.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
I was gonna do this to you.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
That's what you do to me?

Speaker 6 (05:41):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Is that what you're asking me something? Oh? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
So what they do with Kyle is like like you'll
You'll be like, these are things I've never put anything
up my butt, and then you go, these are the
things my husband has put up his butt. And then
you cut to your husband. But that where they ask
him like what's in the garage and he'll be like, screwdriver,
you know whatever, whatever, And then is that I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
That's what it was.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
I was going to see her to bite for it,
but I was going to try to get that video
done this week.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Are you gonna ask me?

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I was going to ask you, like, what's in your
trunk of your car?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Jackets, no spray, what else.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Have I still do it even if you know it
would be funny.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I'll just tell you actual things I put in my pot.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Okay jacket, controls, shoes.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
I'm glad you had fun. Cardinals fans did not have fun.
Rams fans had fun. There was a lot of Rams fans.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Yeah there.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
I have to say I'm more of a Cardinals fan,
but I was not disappointed on how well Poka Naku
did because he's on my fantasy.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
Our favorite guy is the guy that's dating the super
pretty soccer player of the Olympian on the Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
I think he's number fourteen. We like him, we were
root for him.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I see information on the cars, and I have an
inside source, and I wasn't totally listening, but my inside sources.
Everyone's getting fired everyone. When I tell you, you may
tell you who my inside sources. And this inside source
has been right about so many things. It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
My barber, Oh, we shouldn't reveal his sources.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
No, No, I know.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
I know he because he cuts the hair of all
these higher ups.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
That probably isn't a huge secret. I mean, everyone getting
fired after a season like the Cardinals have had is
not unusual.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Yeah, you're right, you're right. I mean, that's Sports Talk
with ad Jane Rich.
