Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dara, good morning. You're on the air. How are you?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hi, this is Dara. I was wondering if you could
throw a prayer for my daughter.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Backstory is that you threw a similar prayer a year
ago and her wish came true.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
So I'm hoping the same thing can happen again.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Okay, you got it. Here we go. Throwing a prayer out.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Good luck. Let us know.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (00:26):
I will.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (00:28):
Probably the background on that, I thought about it the
other day. About 10 years ago, I was going to church,
and I remember the preacher, Terry Crist.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
The guy's amazing.

Speaker 6 (00:37):
He was talking about praying for other people, and I
was like, man, that's wild. And I thought, I prayed
for some people, and good things happened. So I remember
I was at a red light, and I saw a
homeless guy, and I took my hand, and I was
flicking water on somebody. I was throwing a prayer, and
I was like, I started throwing prayers for people. And
then things started happening, Peyton. power of prayer and praying

(00:58):
for other people. So now people called in the show
and asked me to pray for them. Now, it is
hot outside, is it not?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
It's very hot. San Diego over the weekend, 72.

Speaker 7 (01:12):
That's not very hot. That's kind of nice.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Here, it's really hot.

Speaker 7 (01:17):
It's kind of humid too.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
So we want to know, what is the heat destroyed
of yours? I think everybody here has got a story.
We want to hear 877-937-1047. Kelly, how hot is it?
What happened? What got destroyed?

Speaker 8 (01:32):
Besides my soul, I had two things. I went in
for a mammogram and an unopened can of Diet Coke
exploded all over my dashboard and the roof of my Prius. Yeah,
the bummer, light gray turned dark brown. And then the
other thing was I had a pair of Nike tennis
shoes in the back of my car for a couple

(01:53):
of days and I went to go get them and
the whole soul came off.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
The heat does not like shoes.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
We left my son's Crocs outside and they literally shrunk
like three sizes.

Speaker 7 (02:04):
Oh, really? I get where it would melt the glue
on a shoe, but to shrink it three sizes is nuts.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I've had a water bottle completely shrivel up. Like a
size you have, John, around those big gallons, just shriveled
right up.

Speaker 6 (02:17):
Well, you take a little Cialis and put it in there. Yeah,
I know.

Speaker 8 (02:23):
So anyway, lesson learned. Every time I have anything that's
enclosed in some sort of a can, I take it out.

Speaker 7 (02:29):
And don't leave your plastic sunglasses on the dashboard. Bad, bad,
bad idea.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Chopstick, too.

Speaker 7 (02:34):
That's bad news.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Thanks, Kelly.

Speaker 8 (02:37):
Yeah, it's my pleasure.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Bye.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
I have this nose spray, you know, that I carry
with me all the time. And I feel the opposite. Like,
it gets really hot and burny, and the nose spray
I keep it in my glove box, and I put
it up my nose, and it just cleans everything out
for like a month. God, man.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
It doesn't sound safe. I think the molecules in that
thing change in the heat.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
It seems like it's burning.

Speaker 7 (02:57):
What does the sun make more powerful?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Jason, what happened to you? What got destroyed in the heat?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Oh, well, I had a... It's a can of pepper
spray I had for work, but it The name brand
was Capstan, so that's what the issue was. What the
hell are you talking about? That morning.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
What are you saying? I didn't understand a word you said.

Speaker 7 (03:22):
I didn't get it either, actually. Something with a pepper spray.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
Yeah, it's a pepper spray.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Okay, so you had a pepper spray in your car
and it exploded?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yeah, because that morning I had gotten a fresh can
from work and I threw it in the cup holder
and I went the afternoon, I went out to lunch
and I parked on a one-way street. So I guess
while I was eating lunch, I heated up and then

(03:48):
I was coming back out to get in my car
and there's, you know, traffic coming. So I hurry up
and I guess when I opened the door, I'm thinking that,
you know, the pressure or something and it exploded. So
I jumped in because there was vehicles coming. So I
jumped in and then I got hit with the whole
The whole effect of the pepper spray inside my car.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
So you're like in a hurry and you don't know
that the pepper, did it burn your eyes and stuff?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Yeah, it got all over me, all over my skin,
my clothes. I mean, that's like law enforcement grade.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
Oh, man.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
You know, you talk like a pilot. You're like, yeah,
and I parked on a one-way street. Pepper spray exploded.
We're going to be landing here shortly.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
All right. Thanks, Jason.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
Thanks.

Speaker 7 (04:33):
I'm glad he's okay.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Christy. What did the heat destroy of yours?

Speaker 6 (04:39):
As far as I know, Christy, next week, the weather's
going to be in the 90s, and I don't know
if this is the beginning of it getting back down,
but we only have so many days to get into
the casino.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
We should have done this three weeks ago. No, we're
assessing the damage of the season. Now's the time to
do it. So what did the heat destroy of yours, Christy?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
The heat melted my blink doorbell camera, you know, the
doorbell camera things. My house faces west. And it gets
a beat down from the sun. And I came home
one day and the poor thing was laying on the
front deck. And I attached it, screwed it back on,

(05:15):
and then it melted the batteries that were inside.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
Oh, my gosh. That could have been bad.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (05:20):
We really do live on the surface of the sun,
don't we?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
That's insane.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, though. Yeah, me either. Well,
thank you, Christy.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:31):
I had a pair of flip-flops or slides and they
were outside, but the shade was on one of them.
And then the other one like faded really, it's a
totally different color now and it shrank a little bit,
but I still wear them. But it's like, it looks,
it looks like I'm wearing different shoes. So it's supposed
to be 106 today, 104 tomorrow, 105, 101, then 97, 96, 92, 96, 98, 99.
That's all.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
That's what I got till next Thursday. Okay.

Speaker 6 (05:57):
Which I find interesting. It excites me that it's down
in the 90s. I feel like, okay, we made it.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 7 (06:04):
Usually by October around here, it's not brutal. It's still hot,
but not brutal. Hold on a second.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Hello? Good morning, John, Jane, Rich. Who's this?

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Alexa, cross the session.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
She said Alexa to call KSFM.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Oh, you already did.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Done.

Speaker 7 (06:22):
Well, your Alexa's working ahead of you. That's hot. Your
Alexa's become sentient. It already called us.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Every line's ringing. It's got to be for the Disney tickets.
That's what I wanted them to say. Let me see.
Let's see. Hello. Good morning, John Jane Rich. Hello.

Speaker 7 (06:39):
Hello.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yes.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
Are you calling for the Disneyland yet?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
I'm glad you called. We are going to do that
in just a little bit. You got to keep listening. Okay,
I will. All right, good luck.

Speaker 8 (06:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Good luck. You got it.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
Yeah, so we got your shot at Disneyland tickets just
minutes away. You got to make sure you have three
of those keywords ready to go.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
First, Ariana Grande.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
All right, it's time.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
We're looking for caller 104 right now. 877-937-1047.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Caller 104 will get tickets to Disneyland. Where is my
Disney information? And we're going to do it every single day.
So we give out the magic words every hour. So

(07:25):
about five minutes after the hour, we're going to give
you a Disney magic word. You've got to save it.
Collect as many magic words as you can. And the
next day at 8 a.m., we will take caller 104.
And if you give us three magic words from the
day before, you win Disney tickets. Four two-day, one park-per-day passes.
And you qualify for the grand prize, Disney Vacation, which

(07:46):
is four three-day, one park-per-day passes. and hotel at the
Disneyland resort. So we started yesterday. Now I happen to
see on social media that our executive producer, Nick Johnstone
was at Disneyland with his kids.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
How was it, Nick? You guys, it was magical.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
We went for two days and, uh, I've been to
Disneyland a handful of times and it might have been
my favorite trip ever.

Speaker 8 (08:10):
Oh, yay.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
We went to California adventure the first day, got to
ride all like the adventure full rides. And then, uh,
My kids are six and four, and so Disneyland was,
I mean, it was incredible. We just had the best time.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
So you are a millennial. Am I right, Nick?

Speaker 7 (08:27):
Si.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
BuzzFeed put together the things that millennials are doing that
annoy Gen Z.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Literally everything Nick does annoys me, so I'm really interested
to hear that.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Well, guess what? Disney adults are on this list. Okay,
that's fair.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
Nick is a Disney adult.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
For sure.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
I've never seen him wear like a normal shirt. It's
always got some kind of Disney thing on it.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
I'm pretty sure Nick and his wife got engaged at Disneyland.
That is like ultimate Disney.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Oh, for sure. Did you get engaged at Disneyland? Yeah,
we did. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
It blew the kids' minds. We were like, we need
to take a picture right here, right in front of
the castle. This is where Mommy and Daddy got engaged.
And they were like, when? We're like, well, before we
were married, before you guys. And they were like, no,
you didn't. We're like, we had lives before you both.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yes. What color are we at right now? Let's see.
It's caller 76. Oh, really?

Speaker 7 (09:16):
Cooking right along.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Caller 104.

Speaker 6 (09:19):
So BuzzFeed put together the things that millennials are doing
that annoy Gen Z. Okay, so hustle culture is one.
Gen Z agrees that working 100 hours a week is
not a flex anymore. They think self-care is a lot
better than burnout.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
90s nostalgia. Millennials love telling everyone how great their childhood was. Oops.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
These are things that annoy Gen Z. Making Harry Potter references.
Calling someone a Slytherin is not the insult you think
it is.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Saying the phrase, we did a thing.

Speaker 7 (09:50):
We did a thing.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
You know, my wife, she says this. I told her,
I finally brought this up after she's been doing it
for a long time. She always says all the things.
we went to Disneyland all the things did all the
things and I told her now I go I'm gonna
bring it up every time you do it because she
goes no I don't so yesterday she's telling the story.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
She goes you know and then we went there and
did all the things.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
I did all the things she was that's one of
these uh taking pictures of your avocado toast is something
that annoys Gen Z I think that annoys everybody now
And finally, being too comfortable in relationships. Millennials love telling
you that they fart in front of their girlfriend or
their boyfriend. Anyway.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Alright, so where are we at right now? What? I
didn't hear her say it.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Year caller 100.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
Ooh, here we go.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Year caller 101. Year caller 102. Year caller 103. Caller
104 is on line 1.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Caller 104 is on line 1. Okay. They gotta get
I have all of the magic words in front of me.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
I know.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
I hope they have three of them. Okay, here we go.
Let's see. Hello. Good morning, John Jane Rich. Who's this?

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Hello. This is Lisa.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Lisa, you are caller 104. No way.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
That is so exciting.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
That's part one. That's part one, Lisa. What are you doing?
Where are you right now? What are you doing?

Speaker 8 (11:13):
I'm at home.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
I was watering my trees.

Speaker 7 (11:16):
No.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Water in your T's?

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Trees.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Oh.

Speaker 7 (11:20):
Trees. My T's. You got to take care of your alphabet, too.
They need water. Sorry.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
If you give us three.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
I'm excited.

Speaker 6 (11:28):
If you give us three of the 10 magic words,
you get Disneyland tickets.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (11:33):
What do you got?

Speaker 5 (11:34):
I'm ready.

Speaker 7 (11:36):
California.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Halloween. Did you hear that one? And adventure.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Adventure.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
You got it, Lisa.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
Yay!

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
That's so awesome. Well, congratulations.

Speaker 6 (11:57):
So you got a ticket, and you're thrown in the
hopper for the grand prize, too. The grand prize is
four three-day, one-park-per-day passes hotel at the Disneyland Resort.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
So congratulations, Lisa.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Thanks for listening. I'm so excited. Hold on the line.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
We're going to get all that information. Hold on.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
That's so great. So you've got to collect as many
magic words as you can throughout the day. So we
start this morning probably at 10, right?

Speaker 1 (12:21):
10.20.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
10.05.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
10.05.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
10.05.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
We're going to start giving you magic words.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Write them down. Then tomorrow at this time, we will
ask you for those magic words. Very simple.

Speaker 6 (12:31):
All right. That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
The magic words. You can throw this list away.

Speaker 7 (12:38):
They're still magic words, though.

Speaker 6 (12:40):
Mm-hmm. You ever get halfway to the airport and remember
you left something behind in your hotel room?

Speaker 8 (12:45):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (12:46):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:46):
Usually a charger.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Oh, my God. That's funny you say that.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
According to hotel staff, these are the items that guests
forget the most when checking out. Number one, phone chargers.
They're often plugged in behind nightstands or desks.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Yup.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
At least three of those have met their doom in
a hotel room. And you're like, ugh, but it's not
worth it to go back for that.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Clothes and swimsuits.

Speaker 6 (13:11):
A lot of times people will forget clothes they left
in drawers or bathing suits they left hanging out to
dry in the bathroom. Toothbrushes, skincare products are always left behind.
Sex toys.

Speaker 7 (13:24):
Oh, gross.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
I feel bad for them finding them.

Speaker 7 (13:27):
Yeah, because you're not going to call the hotel Boston fans.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
But really annoying if you did accidentally forget it. Like,
I could see how that could be an inconvenience.

Speaker 7 (13:33):
I lost my Nibbis 2000. Here you have a reference,
by the way.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Millennial.

Speaker 7 (13:39):
Put your microphone away.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
I know, I know, I know. We were talking about
the U.S.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
Open earlier, the tennis tournament in New York, and there
were these two women in pink tennis outfits. Going through
the audience and handing out pink tennis balls. And the
crowd was going crazy for it. And then someone grabbed
a look and they were sex toys.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Uh-oh. In the shape of tennis balls.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Yeah, that vibrate.

Speaker 7 (14:03):
Oh, I think I did see that.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
That's pretty wild.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Why?

Speaker 7 (14:06):
I'm getting crazy over there.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
These are things people leave behind in hotel rooms. Jewelry, wallets, cash,
and passports. That's bad. Forgetting your ID is pretty hard
to travel. Dentures. How do you forget that?

Speaker 6 (14:20):
Sometimes people leave dentures on bathroom counters.

Speaker 7 (14:23):
How are you not looking in the mirror and seeing
that you don't have any teeth? Wouldn't you feel it?

Speaker 1 (14:26):
You would think.

Speaker 7 (14:27):
Or the first bite into your little snack, you'd be like, hey,
wait a minute. I'm missing my teeth.
