Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, call 104 right now. You get Disney tickets.
You got to know three of the magic words. Call
us at 877-937-1047. In the meantime, good morning, Maria. About
an hour and a half ago, we were talking about
annoying neighbors. You got an annoying neighbor story?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
First of all, good morning. How are you guys doing?
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Good.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Good.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yes. I didn't even think this was possible until I
heard Kyle's story. We are actually going through the same scenario.
So we bought a house just a little over a
year ago. And of course, brand new black, the backyard
is empty. So before we bought the house, we actually
went to the HOA and let them know everything we
wanted to do. Great. Once we got it all approved,
(00:46):
we submitted it, and our neighbor to the next door
of us, he said, oh, come look at my pool.
Come look at my backyard. Here's some ideas. Very, very
friendly to begin with. Once construction started, oh, kept complimenting, oh,
it looks nice. Gosh, that looks great. Meanwhile, people are
coming up and saying, hey, did you get it permitted? Hey,
did you get it permitted? And we're like, why is
(01:08):
everybody asking? We did. Everything's permitted. Everything has gone through.
Come to find out, he has been complaining about everything
we did, about our pool, about our outdoor kitchen, about
our shop we built, and he's even threatening to sue
the HOA.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Oh, my gosh. That's such a pain.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
That is a pain, Maria.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Yes, and he actually did plant some flowers because he's like,
I can look into your kitchen window, and I'm like, oh,
my God, how rude. So he planted flowers and stuff
all along, and now all of his flowers are are
coming into our yard and getting in the pool. I'm like, oh,
my God.
Speaker 6 (01:47):
This is ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Well, Maria, thank you for calling in. Thank you for listening.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
You guys have a great day.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
You too. Hey, what number are we at? Looking for
caller 104. Where are we at?
Speaker 1 (01:59):
We're at caller 66.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
Okay. Chris, good morning. You've got an annoying neighbor story?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I do, yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:07):
I actually have two stories. One involves their pool and
another is their tree.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
So what would you guys prefer? The better one. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
The better one.
Speaker 6 (02:16):
Oh, they're both equally good. I'll go with the pool. So,
you know, I've been in my home now for about
10 years and I try to be patient with my neighbors.
I typically help out when I can, especially like with
the yard and just trying to, at one point they
were going through some struggles. So, you know, I did
my best to be a good neighbor like anybody would.
And I've realized that they don't reciprocate. So their pool
(02:39):
typically is poorly maintained and I don't know, I don't
own a pool, but people that I do are pretty
adamant that they maintain like the corn content and just
try to avoid getting algae and things like that within
their pool. Well, my neighbor doesn't seem to really mind
to do that too much. So when they, uh, see
that their pool is becoming too like algae infested or gross,
(03:00):
they drain it. But the way they drain it is
they just, uh, turn their pool pump onto reverse. So
instead of actually like using a pool, um, like a
secondary pump to remove the water, they use a pool
pump because it's just easier for them, I guess, than
renting one or they don't own one, but they just
drain it directly into the side of their house. So
then it leaches underneath, uh, the fence into my yard.
(03:25):
So since they've been doing that, uh, two of my
walls have started to settle and you can see that
in like a stucco finish.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
Backwash.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:33):
Yeah, because they're just backwashing it directly into the side yard.
So I've had some settlement issues for a shed that
I have on that side of the house and the
fence of mine that faces the front of the property
that has stucco. When they would drain their pool to
the street, their pool is so algae infested that now
(03:53):
every time it rains, there's residue of algae everywhere.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Chris, let me rephrase that. I need you to tell
me the shorter story, not the better story.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
They got themselves a pond is what they got.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
I don't need to know the intricacies of how the
pool works.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
We aren't the HOA. For God's sake, Chris. Okay.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
So are they doing.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
Anything about it? Absolutely not, no.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
All right.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
Then you need to call the HOA.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
All right, brother.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Thank you. What number are we at now?
Speaker 4 (04:22):
We've got to be at 300 now.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
You guys are the worst.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
You're the worst.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
Oh, 99.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
You're caller 100.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
That's why we're not members of our HOA. We don't want.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
To hear that.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
You're caller 102. Oh.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
You're caller 103.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Caller 104 is on line four.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
My stomach hurt. That was funny.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
He's such a nice guy. This is a really nice guy.
It was such a long story.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
You know, my wife told me, she's like, you're really
nice until you guys start doing butt slams. She's like,
then the mean bridge bearer comes out.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Oh my God.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
What'd she say? Color four?
Speaker 1 (05:03):
104?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
104 is on 14 or four. Oh, exciting.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
All right. So by the way, here's how this works.
If you are not color 104, do not worry. But
in exactly two hours, we're going to start giving out
magic words again. You got to write them down, memorize them,
and then we'll ask you for them tomorrow at eight. Oh,
let's see who this is.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
Good morning, John Jane Rich. Who's this? Hello. Hello.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Hi.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
Hello. Hello. Who's this?
Speaker 2 (05:32):
This is Angela.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Angela, you're caller 104.
Speaker 6 (05:36):
No, I'm not.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Yeah, Angela.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
Are you kidding?
Speaker 5 (05:40):
No.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (05:42):
No, no.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
We would never lie to you, Angela.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
I listen to you guys all the time, and now
I'm talking to you on the phone.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
Well, thank you. What part of town are you in?
Speaker 4 (05:52):
I'm in Glendale.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
When was the last time you went to Disneyland?
Speaker 4 (05:57):
When I was a child.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
That is fantastic. Okay, well, so far, you've made it
through step one. Now, step two is we need... Three
of yesterday's magic words. Three of the ten. If you
get those right, you get tickets to Disneyland.
Speaker 6 (06:14):
Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Okay.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
Ready. I'm ready. What do you got? Give us one.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
One.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
Fantasy.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
Boom. Give us another one.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Boom. Joyful.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
All right.
Speaker 5 (06:31):
One more and you're going.
Speaker 6 (06:34):
Pixie. Ah!
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah!
Speaker 3 (06:37):
That's the winner!
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
You did it!
Speaker 6 (06:44):
This is crazy.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Angela, you're going to Disneyland! She sounds like she's in shock.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I am in shock.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
Look, I never get through.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
This is.
I gotta breathe.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Yeah!
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
Well, you just won.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Thank you guys so much. I can't believe I got through.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
You won four two-day, one park-per-day passes, and you qualify
for the grand prize, a Disney vacation, which is four three-day,
one park-per-day passes, and a hotel at the Disneyland Resort.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Angela.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Oh, I would love that.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
It has been so long since I've been there.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
And it's the best. It is the most wonderful place
in the world.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
But they've made some changes since you were there, too.
Probably some new rides. Probably.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
Angela, hold on. Let me get your information, okay?
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Hold on.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Thank you for listening. Rich, kill him with the Disney jokes.
Another magic word's coming up.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
10.05. And then 11.05, 12.05. We're going to do it
every day. Like I said, we've got a lot going
on this morning, man. Disney, Harry Styles. We've still got Kanye,
Chance the Rapper. Harry Styles. Lots going on. Oh, man.
What a morn, huh?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
What a morn. Just getting started.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
What a morn.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
Are we?
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Because there's like two hours left of the show. I
would think most of the show is gone. We're like halfway.
We're like in the top. Yeah, we're way more than
just getting started, Rich. Unless you plan on staying until
noon or.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
One or something like that. I'll hang out. What do
I got going on?
Speaker 5 (08:14):
We're kind of winding down.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
I can't walk anywhere. But I'll be here.
