Speaker 1 (00:00):
What three things we need to know.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I literally thought the parasite that causes explosive diarrhea was
a joke because when I first saw it, it was
on Instagram and it was a meme about how it
was Taco Bell's fault, and so I was like, oh,
that's very funny. And then turns out Taco Bell literally
is under investigation because I think it's linked to the outbreak.
And now, for the first time since the salad parasite

(00:22):
story has broke, Taco Bell has spoken. So they said
health officials have not confirmed a connection to the chain,
any supplier, or any specific Taco Bell ingredient. Even so
they are voluntarily removing some of the fresh ingredients from
select restaurants while investigators work to find a sort because
the parasite is linked to contaminated fresh produce.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
So yesterday, my wife makes dinner for our whole family, right,
and she makes salmon burgers, and she makes a salad
with dates since she cuts up the salad and she
has potatoes, and I'm seeing everything about this cytoplasm whatever
it's called, what's called cyclospora. Yeah, And so I getting
our food and I just get a salmon burger and
put in my plate and my son Kemp, what's what's

(01:04):
just a sam burger?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I go, oh, you guys don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
If you're going to have the salad, you got to
heat it up to one hundred and fifty degrees because
there's this virus's giving you chronic diarrhea. Everybody put their
salad back, put the potatoes back.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
The salad. My man, we're not eating that. Good luck,
because there's ten cases here of this.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Oh I thought I saw the ones that were linked
to here were due to like bodies of water in.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
The splash pots. You still have it?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Well, yeah, but like I didn't. I don't get it's
because it's like, right, is it like coming from the
pools or is it coming from lettuce? What?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I think the cyclist spores specifically, from what I've read
about it has been it's linked to fresh produce, but
there is probably also another pairasite in the water.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Anywhere. That's another reason Kyle doesn't shower.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
You guys, I'm just trying to be safe. Don't eat salad,
don't shower, and you will be fine. Right. So, thousands
of people are now suing the makers of ozempic and
other GLP one weight loss drugs, claiming they suffered serious
side effects, including stomach paralysis and vision problems, like literally
some people went blind overnight. And the cases are being

(02:17):
grouped together in a federal court, making this one of
the largest pharmaceutical legal.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Battles happening right now.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
With so many people taking these medications or knowing someone
who is, it's definitely wanted to keep an eye on.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Well, we'll see how big farm it gets up. So
the GLP two's are still safe? Sure, right, Well, you
knew it was too good to be true. Something was
going to happen, it seems.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
So. Yesterday I told you guys about lawmakers that are
getting ready to vote on possibly ending the twice a
year clock change known as daylight Savings Time.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Well, they voted and the.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
House approved the bill that would make daylight savings time permanent.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Still has one big hurdle.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Because it still has to go to the Senate.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
They got to.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Pass it before anything actually changes. So if you're getting
really excited about this possibly happening, there's actually legally one
step closer to getting those clocks staying the same.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
That means the government country, the government actually does control time. Also,
we're also going to make it three o'clock.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Right now, I know it's very weird. It's a very
weird concept. But that is three things you need to know.
