Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wake your ass up, fool. John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
What's crack-a-lackin'? This is the Big Boss Dog, Snoopy, Deagle,
Double Jizzle. Bang, boom, what you gonna do? John Jay
and Rich. We're not talking about Ren 10-10. We're not
talking about Lassie.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It's the one and only dog, y'all.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
The classy, sassy, big Snoopy, Deagle, Double Jizzle. In your
face to be and in the place to be. And
you're listening to John Jay and Rich. Wake your ass up.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Rich, today's national what day?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Well, today is National Ampersand Day. Peyton, you know what
an ampersand is? No. It's the mm, the mm thing.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
It's the and in the middle of John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
It's the thing that brings the things together.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yes, it's an ampersand. It is National Date Nut Bread Day,
National Dog Walker Appreciation Day, National Star Trek Day. And
this one, National Ants on a Log Day.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Yum.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
This is such a good snack.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
What a throwback. I've had ants on a log.

Speaker 6 (00:58):
Speaking of ampersands, you know what I was having just
lonely thoughts thinking about something? So what's the thing called
on your keyboard that is just a little star?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
The asterisk. The asterisk.

Speaker 6 (01:11):
I was sitting there thinking. I wonder if somebody would make, like,
an ass trick. What's a trick you could do with
your ass?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I've seen a few videos from Singapore.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
How come I've never heard that before? How come no
one's come up with an ass trick before?

Speaker 4 (01:24):
The mind of John J.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Van Ness.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Hey, man. Like, if you were playing, what's that game? Like, charades?

Speaker 7 (01:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
And it was that. So how are you getting the
guest ass trick?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh, I know.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
I mean, I guess a booty clap is that, right?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
A booty clap is an asterisk.

Speaker 8 (01:37):
Yeah, more like the Kim Kardashian cover photo where she
placed the champagne right on her butt.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
That's an asterisk. Twerking is an asterisk.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Launching ping pong balls, that's a trick.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Well, we've actually gone to some fun parties.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Like, who did that?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Send me videos of your asterisk, please.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Just judging.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Oh, my gosh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Send them to me. Anyway, Peyton, you said something about
the other day. I mean, you are told you. 28.
And somebody guessed your age and that bothered you?

Speaker 5 (02:03):
It rubbed me the wrong way. It truly did.

Speaker 8 (02:05):
Quite honestly, I was insulted. I was insulted because I
don't look 28.

Speaker 9 (02:10):
So what do you mean?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
How do you look?

Speaker 5 (02:12):
I probably could go for a 24.

Speaker 8 (02:14):
I could probably pass as a 24 year old.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
I feel like that's a very relatable feeling. Like if
someone guessed my age, which you probably could, but also
like I've had a lot of Botox and a lot
of laser to make it so maybe you couldn't.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I don't think you can guess your age. I don't
think you can guess Kyle's age.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
And it's like, it's just so rude.

Speaker 8 (02:31):
Like if I like, because how it happened, she asked me,
like I was at my friend's birthday dinner and I
was just getting to know my other friend's friends.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
And she was like, how old are you? And I
was like, oh girl, guess. And she was like 28.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
And I was like, You sell yourself out for that.
You never say guess.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
You never say guess.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
How old do you think I am? Like that, you're
just asking for.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
That means.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
You better guess low.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
I don't want you to guess low.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Hey, let me give you something I'm obsessed with that
you should get.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
You should get this. So I have the whoop strap, right?
The whoop strap monitors everything. And then after a while
it gives you your age, right? And then what you
start to do is you start to work on things
and it starts subtracting. So I am, I am like, uh,
and it gives you to the month. Like I am
six years younger on my whoop than I am in
real life. And it'll be like, uh, it'll tell you like, like, right.

(03:24):
Like I'm, you know, 38 and six months. And then
it'll say, Hey, now you're 38 and five months.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Whoa.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
Now you're 38 in three months. Like it's pretty freaking cool.
You get obsessed with it. And I've been watching it drop.
And I send screenshots of myself. I'm younger than my sister.
I'm younger than my younger sister. And I send her stuff.
And the other day she was at the house. I
was staring at her nose. She thinks she has this
tumor on her nose. So I was staring at her
nose and I took a picture. She goes, can you
tell me if, if, if what's on my nose is
cancer or not? So I take a picture of it
and I put it on grok.

Speaker 8 (03:50):
Right.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
And her nose pretty jacked up. And I say, I say,
I say.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
I go, can you, I go, can you see, I
forgot how I phrased it on the grok, but it
made her nose. It cleaned up her nose. It was like,
look how beautiful your nose looks now. Grok cleaned it
all up, took all the blemishes out. It couldn't handle
it the way it was. It turns out Grox says
it's nothing on her nose. But hey, what I'm getting
at is I am much younger than my sister. And
I looked at her the other day. I was like, man,
you do look a lot older than me.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
So that whoop strap.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
He's such an annoying brother.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Is that like a yearly, monthly subscription? I think you
could do either. So I wonder if you could pay
more to have it, you know, like you can kind
of gamify your day. Here's a couple extra bucks. Make
me a few months old.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
No, because I want it for real.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Like I'm really sometimes I'm like I'm like I got
younger and I was like, this is freaking fantastic.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Pretty cool.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
So it makes you do things, you know, like I
think a big part of that's making me younger on
my whoop strap. Is I started taking these shots a
couple of years ago of NAD plus, right? I was
doing IV drips and I was just doing it because
someone told me about it. Like I'm going to say five,
six years ago. Now I do it regularly every Monday.
And because I heard that that's one of the things

(04:57):
that make your mitochondria and your cells younger.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
So I feel the whoop nose. I'm taking these shots.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
The whoop knows. But you do so much stuff.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
John Jay.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
How do you know?

Speaker 4 (05:06):
How are you pinpointing?

Speaker 2 (05:08):
You probably do, what, 300 things?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
I do a lot of things. I do so many
things that I've been asked to speak on panels now.
I'm going to Mexico and I'm.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
Speaking at a biohacking panel. I'm going to Houston and
I'm speaking at a biohacking panel. Because of all the
things I do now. It's like, there's a few things
that you would bring up. Like I would say like
eight years ago that now there's science behind like the
red light therapy.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
That's like real stuff.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
What about peptides?

Speaker 3 (05:30):
I was way ahead of the peptide game, right?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
The thing I don't believe that you did, though, is
when you were electrocuting yourself. I don't think that's good
for you.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Which time? Which one are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Which time? You hold on to.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Something that sends like an electric shock through your body.
It's supposed to reset your cells. Is that from a
long time ago? I don't know. I did it again.
A couple, two years ago. You're ridiculous. Well, anyway, I'm
a big fan.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
How did we get into this?

Speaker 8 (05:54):
Age.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Oh, I thought we were talking about asterisks.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
We did that earlier.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
If you can do a good asterisk, you're probably younger.
I'm sure the older people can't do a good asterisk.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Or an ampersand. All right, it's John Tainrich. Missed a
part of the show this morning?

Speaker 7 (06:09):
No worries.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
It's all there on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Payne, what's the vibe for horoscopes today?

Speaker 8 (06:14):
Everyone is in a group chat, so I'm letting you
know the vibe that you bring.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
To yours based on your zodiac sign.

Speaker 8 (06:19):
And if it's your birthday today, you are a Virgo
and you share a birthday with Gatton Maserato from Stranger Things,
Cameron Dallas, Wiz Khalifa, Pink, Avicii, and that girl, Ruby Bridges.
John Jay, for you, for Virgo. You are the designated
group chat organizer. You're the person that is constantly texting

(06:39):
in the group chat, double-checking, making.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Sure, how come you aren't texting back to my funny meme?

Speaker 8 (06:44):
You are publicly calling out the two people who haven't
paid their share and have gone ghost in the group chat.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
I think a real Virgo is just thinking of those thoughts.
Why haven't you responded?

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Yes, because you don't want to confront. You confront in
your mind. Exactly. Hi, Michelle.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Good morning. What's your sign?

Speaker 7 (06:59):
Good morning, John Jay. It's Sagittarius.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
All right, Michelle.

Speaker 8 (07:03):
So for my Sagittarius, you are the spontaneous chaos planner
when it comes to your group chat. You're going to text,
who's down for a road trip? We're leaving in 20
on like a random Thursday. And then you get offended
when people with real jobs just can't up and leave.

Speaker 10 (07:17):
That is totally me.

Speaker 11 (07:18):
Thank you, Peyton.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Thanks, Michelle. Good morning, Tasha. What's your sign?

Speaker 11 (07:23):
Good morning.

Speaker 10 (07:24):
It's your favorite October Libra.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Yes.

Speaker 8 (07:28):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Kyle is also our Libra in the room.

Speaker 8 (07:30):
So for you two, when it comes to your guys'
group chats, you guys are the noncommittal, like, fence sitter.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
You're going to respond, oh, sounds fun, maybe, to, like, every.

Speaker 8 (07:41):
Single plan that's out there, knowing full well you have
zero intention on actually.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Going to set plans.

Speaker 10 (07:47):
Oh, my God. You should not be telling secrets like
that because I do that all the time.

Speaker 8 (07:52):
I know. Tasha, we're like, oh, my gosh, yes, we
are in.

Speaker 10 (07:56):
I know, and sometimes I'll block it or turn my
phone off or, like, leave the chat or something.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (08:01):
I don't be interested.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Tasha, thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
It was awesome.

Speaker 10 (08:07):
All right, you guys have a great day.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
You too.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
How about Pisces?

Speaker 8 (08:10):
Rich, our Pisces in the room, you, when it comes
to the group chat, are the dramatic ghoster, just kind
of how you are in real life, too. You kind
of complain about being left out, and then you type
three different messages, delete them all, and then mute the
chat because, quote, unquote.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
The vibe fell off.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Huh. That doesn't really sound like me.

Speaker 12 (08:26):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
But I will ghost in public, sure.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Yeah, you do just go missing sometimes.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, I do. But it's not because I'm not thinking
about you guys. I just get drifted into another place.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
No, you're just getting some loving from your wife.

Speaker 9 (08:37):
That's all.

Speaker 8 (08:37):
We know.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I'm just drifting in a different direction.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
How about Leos?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Leos.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
I'm a Leo.

Speaker 8 (08:43):
We are the media spammer when it comes to the
group chat.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
We are going to drop.

Speaker 8 (08:46):
five unprompted screenshots of like what we should wear and
what we should.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Order online for like a new going out thing that
we have going on.

Speaker 8 (08:53):
We're going to demand an immediate unanonymous vote on which
one looks best.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
Everybody must record. I don't know how you say unanimous.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Unanimous. There you go.

Speaker 8 (09:01):
You got it. Unanonymous.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Hello, Lauren.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
You're on the air. Good morning.

Speaker 11 (09:26):
Hey, good morning. So here's what happened. I accidentally regifted
my coworker the gift she gave me.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Whoops.

Speaker 9 (09:35):
How did you do that?

Speaker 3 (09:38):
I like the snort.

Speaker 15 (09:42):
So last last Christmas she gave me this like fancy
candle but I'm not really like a candle person I
don't really like scents and I should have told her
that but whatever I tossed it in my closet with
all this like I have this box of like random
gifts that I save for emergencies so I just like
left it in there.

Speaker 11 (09:59):
Well anyway it's to um like last week she invited
us like over for her house for a housewarming like
all of us from work and i forgot to buy
something so on the way out the door i like
just grabbed something out of the box and threw it
in the cute gift bag and then she opens it
and she realizes oh my god Wait, I got you
this same one for Christmas. And I panicked and I

(10:22):
was like, no, no, yours is different.

Speaker 7 (10:25):
And she pulls out her phone and finds a picture from.

Speaker 11 (10:28):
Our office party last year, holding the same candle, the
same exact thing with the same ribbon on it. Like
she had put a ribbon on it and I never
even noticed.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Then do you just run away? Cause there's nothing else
you could do. Just turn and run.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
I'd be like, I liked it so much. I got
you the exact same thing. You need to have this
exact same candle. It's so awesome in my house.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Also, you mightn't be able to use that, that ribbon again.
So I thought I would give you the ribbon back
as well.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (10:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (10:56):
I'm just like, uh, yeah, no, it's definitely a great mind.

Speaker 9 (11:00):
You know?

Speaker 11 (11:02):
Oh my God.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Nothing says anything nicer than I don't like your gift
and I don't want to spend any money on you either.
Here's yours back.

Speaker 8 (11:11):
I mean, honestly, the fact that you even came with
something says a lot.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (11:16):
See, that's what I think. You know, I'm like, hey,
what if it was the same? You know, I wish
I had just been like, I love this so much
that I got you one.

Speaker 13 (11:26):
But I like couldn't even think of anything.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
I was just like.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Oh, no.

Speaker 8 (11:32):
Busted.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
Like a goat.

Speaker 15 (11:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
All right, Lauren, thanks for sharing that story.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Thanks.

Speaker 14 (11:37):
Bye.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Bye. All right, Peyton, what's on your mind? What are
you working on?

Speaker 8 (11:49):
Okay, so I saw this thing on the Cosmopolitan, and
basically it's questions for couples that are actually fun to ask.
So it's kind of going old school. You know, everyone's
all into that nostalgia right now. Just play Would You
Rather at dinner with your partner.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Oh, that's cool.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
I know, right?

Speaker 3 (12:03):
When you say Cosmopolitan, are you talking about like Cosmo
the magazine?

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yeah. Oh, okay. They got a website? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
Like a whole website. I get stuff from there all
the time.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
I just never heard of Cosmopolitan.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
They have like a whole website.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
I haven't heard it called Cosmopolitan in a long time.

Speaker 8 (12:14):
Well, I like a Cosmopolitan martini, you know, so I
really wanted to bring that energy.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Okay, so it's would you rather with your.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
So are we going to play would you rather right now?

Speaker 3 (12:22):
It's would you rather at dinner with your spouse?

Speaker 8 (12:24):
Yeah, and they're kind of flirty, but I think we
can definitely play in the room right now.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Okay, let's play.

Speaker 8 (12:28):
Okay, Kyle, would you rather have a fancy date night
out or a romantic night in?

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Fancy date night out.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Okay, John Jay.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
In.

Speaker 9 (12:37):
Duh.

Speaker 8 (12:39):
Rich.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Oh, for sure. Fancy night out.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Yeah, I think I'm on the same boat with you guys. Okay,
John Jay.

Speaker 8 (12:45):
Would you rather get a love letter or a surprising gift?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
A gift.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Kyle.

Speaker 13 (12:51):
Gift.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Rich.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Letter.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
See, I'm with you. I'm like, write me a letter.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
See, I'm not like a words of affirmation person. So
I'm like, oh, and I have to read a letter.

Speaker 8 (12:58):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Read this.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
I literally, I told you.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
How many pages?

Speaker 2 (13:03):
What is your number one, Kyle? Because I know that
you're not into a lot of them.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
My love language?

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
Oh, it's quality time. It's my number one.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Quality time.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Of course it is.

Speaker 6 (13:11):
The thing about would you rather is that you have
to answer, like you can't ask questions because now that
it's over. It's like, yeah, I don't want a long letter.
How long is the letter? Whenever I open up something,
it's like four pages. Or those Christmas cards that come
that are in the front and the back. I don't
have time for that.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
And then I started grade school.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Go on, Peyton. What else would you rather?

Speaker 8 (13:30):
So those ones were some flirty would-you-rathers. But then there's
some relationship-related would-you-rather questions, which we're all in relationships. But these,
I feel like, are more like if you're in the dating,
trying to get married.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
So maybe you could ask your man, would you rather
have seven kids? Or no kids.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Seven kids.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
Yeah, seven.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Seven.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
None for me.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I'm good.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
No, thank you.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Till after you have one and then I feel like
your answer will change. I feel like I, if I have.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
Three, I would be happy with that. Anything more, I
might pull my hair out.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
That is good for like if you are dating because
it's like those are things that could be really heavy
and serious. But if you play it in kind of
like a game fashion, you're really talking about important things.
But it's kind of like a fun, light way to
bring it up.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Exactly like this one. Would you rather have a huge
wedding or just a lope?

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Elope.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Huge wedding.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Huge wedding.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
See, I'm like, we kind of eloped. But then again,
I go to weddings and I'm like, should we have
had the big wedding?

Speaker 2 (14:23):
That was one of my favorite days of all time.
I know.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Your wedding was awesome, Rich.

Speaker 8 (14:28):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
This one is a fun one.

Speaker 8 (14:30):
Would you rather know everything about your partner's dating history
or nothing at all?

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Everything.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Nothing.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Nothing.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
I don't want to know anything at all. You better
take that to the grave. I am not trying.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
I hear things now and it makes me shiver.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Would you rather be known as the one who talks
dirty or the one who never talks during it?

Speaker 5 (14:52):
I'd rather talk dirty.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
Yeah, you don't want to never talk dirty.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
You're supposed to answer it. You're not supposed to.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
I was agreeing.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
Would you rather get caught making out in the car
or walking out of a hotel at 7 a.m.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
In last night's clothes?

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Walking out of the hotel.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Making out in the car.

Speaker 9 (15:08):
Yeah, I think I'd want to make out in the car, too.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
That's fun.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
I don't want to get caught making out in the car. No,
I'll do the walk of shame.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
No problem.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
I'm out on that.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
Would you rather accidentally send a spicy text to your
boss or to your mom?

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Oh, my mom. My mom, for sure. What about you?

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Your boss, because you're going to leave that job. Your
mom's going to be around forever.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
Would you rather have one unforgettable night you can never
talk about or a decent ongoing thing everyone knows about?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Decent ongoing thing.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
I'd go unforgettable. One unforgettable night.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
I don't need everyone to know about it, so I
think unforgettable.

Speaker 14 (15:42):
Same.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Would you rather get a compliment about your body or
about how you make them feel?

Speaker 10 (15:47):
Body.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Honestly. Body. I'm so insecure I'll take any compliment about
my body.

Speaker 8 (15:53):
What?

Speaker 5 (15:53):
You actually like this?

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Thank you. I want to know that you feel something good.

Speaker 6 (15:58):
Would you rather kiss someone you shouldn't or text someone
you shouldn't?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
No.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
It depends.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
I mean, it'd be more fun to kiss someone you shouldn't.

Speaker 8 (16:08):
Should I not because they're my cousin or should I
not because it's like they're a player?

Speaker 4 (16:12):
You can't ask questions.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Why can't you text your cousin? I don't get it.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
That is gross. Angel legal, I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Would you rather get asked what are you thinking about
at a bad time or at a very good time?

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Good time.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
At a good time. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
I mean, that's like.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
My wife asked me that all the time. What are
you thinking?

Speaker 3 (16:29):
And it's almost like if you don't tell the truth,
she'll know.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah. But your truth has got to be so random anyway.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
Right.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Mine's usually me starting in the movie. Well, if I
was Indiana Jones, I would have done this.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Wait, didn't you have a thing with a bowling ball?

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Well, I mean, I have. I imagine the bowling ball.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Down this high, like steep hill.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
Oh, I thought that I remember the mattress thing.

Speaker 8 (16:53):
You remember that big mattress place that you were in
that big empty. It was like a big empty warehouse
that used to have like a bunch of.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
That was real. Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
And I said I said to the guy I wanted
to roll the bowling ball. It was like a hundred
football fields long. I don't want to see how hard
I get through the bowling ball before it faded. You know,
it's like against the law to do that. Like the
other fantasy I had, fantasy, where you're on a high
hill and you drop a bowling ball and you let
it roll all the way down. Somebody did that, and
I guess it's against the law.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Oh, because it could really hurt someone. There can't be
a law inside a mattress factory. There can't be. Maybe
that's their work rule, their weird work rule. You can't
throw bowling balls down our hallway.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
So those are fun would-you-rathers. Was there more, Peyton?

Speaker 5 (17:33):
No, those were all the best ones.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
If you've got any good would-you-rathers that put us in
a dilemma, let us know. All right, time for Stacks
and Hacks. I have stacks of information. Rich has life hacks.
My stacks of information is stuff you can take with
you all day. How fun would you say your state is?
The state of Arizona right now.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Oh, super fun.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Oh, like 10 out of 10 fun?

Speaker 14 (17:56):
10 out of 10.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Okay. Always something to do.

Speaker 6 (17:58):
An annual study ranked all 50 states by how fun
they are based on the amount of stuff that there
is to do here.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
There's literally everything to do here.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
You can't do it all.

Speaker 8 (18:07):
Literally.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Literally.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
We are in the top ten.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Okay, that's good.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
We better be number one.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
We are number ten.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Uh, what?

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Arizona's number ten.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Who's more fun than us?

Speaker 5 (18:16):
There's no way.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Well, Florida's number two.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Oh, Florida's pretty fun.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
It's too humid. They have fun there, though.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
It's pretty fun, though.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Illinois is number three.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
What's in Illinois? Oh, Chicago?

Speaker 5 (18:24):
Chicago.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
I'm looking at a map.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
I think that's Illinois. Is that it?

Speaker 5 (18:27):
Chicago is actually really fun.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Number one is California. That makes sense.

Speaker 11 (18:31):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
There's a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Stuff to do.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
All the parks, the ocean.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
There's, like, the redwoods.

Speaker 5 (18:35):
If there, like, snow, there is snowing.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Yeah, northern California.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
San Diego alone has like six different climates.

Speaker 9 (18:43):
But that's kind of how we are, too, though.

Speaker 6 (18:44):
Colorado's number six. Oregon's number 11. Washington, number seven. New
York's number five.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Yeah, so that's good stuff. Good tracks.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
So last week was National Potato Day.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (18:58):
Imagine, I think someone with a lot of time, too
much time on their hand, did a survey and asked
people what's their favorite potato dishes. What do you think
is the number one favorite potato dish?

Speaker 2 (19:04):
French fries.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Potato salad.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
French fries.

Speaker 6 (19:06):
Potato salad, Kyle, is on the bottom of the list.
French fries is number one. Mashed potatoes is number two.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
You won't believe how much Honey Boo Boo's sister is
making on OnlyFans.

Speaker 9 (19:18):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 8 (19:19):
Yes, I can believe because I saw this story. Did
you see her daughter got denied from being at some
charter school because of her OnlyFans story?

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Yeah, she's making $ 15, 000 a day on OnlyFans. A day?

Speaker 8 (19:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
A day.

Speaker 8 (19:31):
Which is like, and people are really breaking down that
whole thing because they're like really grossed out at the
fact it's like, that's Honey Boo Boo's sister. You know
Honey Boo Boo because of her spinoff of what was it,
Princes in Tiaras or whatever that was.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Here comes Honey Boo Boo.

Speaker 5 (19:44):
Here comes Honey Boo Boo.

Speaker 8 (19:46):
And everyone's just like, that's just so odd and weird
that you're paying money for that kind of OnlyFans.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Man, they are good for them.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Well, is she doing like hardcore?

Speaker 15 (19:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Oh, not good. She's suing a school because.

Speaker 8 (20:00):
They denied her daughter from going there because of her
OnlyFans car. Okay.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Not good for them.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
Not good. There's a famous actress. Her name is Donna Mills.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
She's 85.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
I saw that story. Yeah, she's making a ton of money.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
But she's not doing, like, kinky stuff.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
I don't know. She did pose in Playboy one time, like,
in the 80s or 90s.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
I think what I saw, it was not that. It was, like,
for all of her fans that, like, really go to, like,
the Comic-Cons and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
So it wasn't anything nude?

Speaker 4 (20:22):
I don't think it was nude things.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah, she did do nude a long time ago.

Speaker 6 (20:25):
So, so much for being smart, an outage is stopping
some smart pet feeders and other devices from performing their
scheduled tasks effectively. like dispensing foods, though. This is why
your cat could be cranky. So when you think about it,
you have this automatic feeder, but then the power goes
out or the tech goes out and now you can't
feed the cat.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Spirit airlines went bankrupt because it was terrible.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Right.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
But Google just paid $ 10 million for for tons of
corporate data from Spirit Airlines. They believe it could be
helpful in improving their products and AI models.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
That's suspicious.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Yeah. I don't like that.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Addresses.

Speaker 6 (20:59):
77% of people prefer instant coffee over drip coffee in
a blind taste test. I'm new to the coffee world,
so it doesn't really matter to me. Rich, what do
you got for life hacks?

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Well, you know, you guys probably sing in the shower
on occasion. I think that's a good thing for you.
But check this out. Research suggests that singing can temporarily
boost levels of an antibody called Sig A. Sig A
helps your body's first line against germs. So singing can
lower your stress, give your mood a little boost. So
tomorrow morning. or this morning even, grab that shampoo bottle,

(21:32):
pretend it's a microphone, and destroy living on a prayer. Oh,
my halfway there.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
That's your shower song?

Speaker 2 (21:41):
That's one of them. Anything that feels good.

Speaker 8 (21:43):
I feel like Becky G hooked us up with singing
in the shower.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
Like, that's the song you have to sing.

Speaker 9 (21:47):
She's singing in the shower.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
Dancing in the mirror and singing in the shower.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Okay, then Becky G. For me, it's somber. It's always somber.
Such a heavy mood. That life hack and many more
can be found at johnjainrich.com.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
All right, we're getting ready for second date updates. Sierra,
good morning. You're on the air. Give us a little
bit about what's going on in your dating life.

Speaker 7 (22:11):
Well, I've been ghosted by the last five guys I've
gone out on a date with, and I'm so over it,
so I want to call one of them.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Okay, one of them, not all five of them.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
Not all five. I don't know if we have time
for that.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
We only had it budgeted for one person.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Second date update. Got to hear this story next with
John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 13 (22:28):
They stabbed this way, stabbed that way.

Speaker 14 (22:36):
The next segment we're going to do is called second
date update because that's what we're going to try and get.

Speaker 9 (22:41):
And that's what the bit is called.

Speaker 14 (22:43):
Second date update starts right now on John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
All right, we're getting ready for second date update. We're
going to find out. Whoa, Sierra, clear your throat on
the air. Hi, you're on the air. Good morning, Sierra.

Speaker 7 (22:56):
Hi, sorry.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
It's okay. It's okay.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
You got a lot going on. So what's happening?

Speaker 2 (23:00):
What would you tell us about your date?

Speaker 7 (23:03):
So I just want your guys' help because I've been
on five first dates this month and I keep getting
ghosted by guys. I've literally gotten ghosted.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
By all of them.

Speaker 7 (23:17):
And I don't like, I'm starting to think maybe I'm
the issue. I don't know. But this most recent guy,
like we were talking on Instagram and we went out
on a date and I thought it was a lot
of fun. And I haven't heard back from him. He

(23:40):
like didn't even give me his number until we were
on the date. And I've like texted him a couple times.
And then I also messaged him on Instagram, and I
haven't heard anything back from him. And I'm just, like,
so over it.

Speaker 8 (23:59):
Is he reading your messages on Instagram? Like, you know
how on Instagram someone opens it, it says, like, that
they saw it? Or is he completely ghosting you?

Speaker 7 (24:09):
No, he hasn't opened them. It's, like, he, yeah, he's
completely ghosted. I haven't heard anything.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
I feel like, John Jay, you would be like, maybe
they're all deathly ill.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
All five of the ghosters.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
They're lined up at.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
The same hospital, just in the emergency room. All of them.

Speaker 7 (24:28):
Yeah, maybe I'm cursing all these guys.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
I mean, five dates for this to happen to you.
I feel like that's so brutal. I feel so bad
for you.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
She sounds defeated, too. I mean, I get it. I
would be.

Speaker 8 (24:39):
Even if you don't get to go on another date
with this guy, if that's even what you want to do.
But just to know, like, what's going on here? Because
I would definitely be looking.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
In the mirror, too.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Well, sure. But, you know, it's also kind of the culture.
It's not her. It's just that people don't know how
to behave their butts.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Yeah, men can't communicate, so they just go. Is that
what you're saying?

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Yeah, I don't know. I'll call her if I want
to see her again. And she's just gotten a few
of those in a row. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
So shall we call?

Speaker 5 (25:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Yeah. Give us some names, Sierra.

Speaker 7 (25:05):
Tyler.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Tyler. Okay. Hold on line, okay?

Speaker 3 (25:09):
We're going to get Tyler on the phone. We're going
to find out why he's blowing you off, okay?

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Okay. Okay.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
All right, we are in the middle of second date updates.
Sierra and Tyler?

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Poor Sierra. Five times. She's been ghosted by five guys
in a month in her dating life. And she's starting
to wonder, am I the problem? Is it me? But
she went out with Tyler and had a great date.
The conversation was flowing. The connection was happening. Now she's

(25:43):
messaged him. She didn't even have his number until the date.
And he's not answering. He's ghosting her too. What's the deal?

Speaker 6 (25:50):
You know what's funny, Sierra, is you went out with
five guys in one month and they all ghosted you, right?

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Yeah. It's funny. If you actually went to the five
guys restaurant and they didn't wait on you.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
And then I go to five guys and they wouldn't
take my order.

Speaker 7 (26:04):
Come on.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
What is the deal?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Hey, and how come out of the five guys, why
is Tyler the one you want to talk to? How
come you don't want to try to have us call
any of the other ones?

Speaker 13 (26:14):
I mean.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
I don't know. I had a fun date with him,
but also I think I'm just kind of at the
end of my line of getting ghosted right now. I
just want to ask if there was something about me
or why did he ghost me?

Speaker 6 (26:31):
We could get all five guys on the phone at
one time on speaker and then be like, hold on, guys.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
You all went on a date with this girl. Why
don't you like her?

Speaker 2 (26:41):
But all right.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Hold on a second. Dylan, did you get Tyler on
the phone?

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Not quite.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
I have Danae on the line.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
She'll fill you in.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Danae? All right, Sarah, you chill for a second.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Okay. Hold on.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Hold on a second.

Speaker 7 (26:53):
Danae?

Speaker 5 (26:54):
Yes, hi.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
You're cool jumping on the radio with us real quick?

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Oh, we were looking for Tyler.

Speaker 10 (27:02):
Well, you didn't get Tyler. Tyler's my little brother. And
this is my number that he gives out to girls.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Why would he do that? Oh, God.

Speaker 10 (27:18):
I did not ever expect this to escalate this far.
So when he goes on dates, if it's not going well,
if it's not a situation he's really into, he gives
them my number so that they don't have any way
to contact him afterwards.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
How rude.

Speaker 10 (27:38):
I have had so many girls call me and text me. And,
I mean, I've gotten cussed out. And meanwhile, he just
blocks them on Instagram and he just moves on with
his life.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
Well, we have one of those girls.

Speaker 6 (27:51):
So we do a radio show and one of those
girls called us. And she was so bummed out that
Titus ghosted her that she asked us to track him down.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
So that's what we're doing. So say please say hi
to Sierra.

Speaker 7 (28:01):
Hi, Sierra. So you're his sister?

Speaker 10 (28:08):
Girl, yeah.

Speaker 8 (28:12):
Hi.

Speaker 7 (28:13):
So, what?

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Okay.

Speaker 10 (28:17):
He's not worth tracking down. Yeah, he's not worth it.
It's not, this is, he is He's tragically unable to
communicate and he is not worth it. I promise you,
he is not worth your time.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Why would you let him give you or let him
use your phone number? You don't want to go through
deal with his mess.

Speaker 11 (28:40):
I do not.

Speaker 12 (28:41):
He is.

Speaker 10 (28:42):
But he is my little brother. And apparently I am
running customer service for his dating life.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (28:49):
I have him to stop.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Well, Sierra's great. Do you have any guys that you
can hook her up with? Right.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
Maybe another brother that doesn't do what your other brother did.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
She cared enough to call us to find out what happened,
and she sounds sweet as she can be.

Speaker 10 (29:02):
Yeah, and Sierra, I'm telling you, he is not worth it.
This is a dead end. It's a cul-de-sac to nowhere.
There's nothing. You don't want to get involved with him.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
He's a mess.

Speaker 10 (29:16):
She's an absolute.

Speaker 7 (29:17):
I'm hoping.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
No problem. I think she's sold on not going out
with him again.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
I think maybe that we did.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
For a second, I was thinking, oh, man, we didn't
really get Sierra any answers. Like, is there? But I
think maybe we do. And I think maybe Sierra's got
a bad man picker.

Speaker 6 (29:32):
Well, yeah, because today you don't need to know all this,
but the last four guys before Todd are ghosted or two.

Speaker 10 (29:38):
Oh, well, I can't speak for the other.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Four.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Right.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
What we can do is we'll just hang up with
you and then, Sierra, we'll just go next. We'll call
them all, Sierra.

Speaker 8 (29:47):
I mean, she's open to dating and putting herself out there.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
That's a good thing. I feel bad for Sierra. She
didn't get any answers. She's getting ghosted by everybody. But, Sierra,
we didn't ghost you.

Speaker 13 (29:57):
You didn't.

Speaker 12 (29:58):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
I mean, did he say anything about, like, why he
wasn't into me or... I don't know. This is his process, Sierra.

Speaker 10 (30:09):
Do not take it personal. Do not take it personal.
He is an immature, unable to communicate, not worth your time.
He saw your DM. He hit block. That is his process.
Delete him. He dodged a bullet.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Okay. Hey, today, thank you for taking the time to
jump on there with us.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Really appreciate it. Thank you.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (30:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Sierra, sorry we didn't get you answers. If you want
to try another guy, we can help.

Speaker 7 (30:36):
I'll hit you guys up.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Well, whenever you're ready, use those.

Speaker 14 (30:39):
No.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Good luck to you.

Speaker 7 (30:41):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
All right.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
That's sucking it up at you guys.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Don't just listen to John Jay and Richie, a part
of the show called.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
1-877-937-1047 to get on the air now. All right.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
So what just happened to you, Richard? It's so dumb. Well,
you know, I'm still kind of hobbled up. I'm still
walking around with one crutch. So I was trying to
use the boys' room before we came back from the song.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
But when you say you're hobbling on one crutch, if
you're just tuning in, he tore his meniscus by falling
in the bathtub two weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
It's actually torn?

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 14 (31:20):
MRI.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Torn, torn, torn.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Walking around with a crutch.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
So anyway, I'm hobbling pretty quick, and I have my
little monitor so I can hear what the station's doing.
So I use the bathroom and quickly turn, and my
headphones fly off me and right into the toilet. Just
where I use the bathroom. So I guess those are gone.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
But these are the headphones. They're little in-ears, and they're
custom-made for your ears.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
They're very expensive. They are very expensive.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
So now you're going to throw them away? Because it's
your own piece.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I'm going to clean them.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
You have to just wash them.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
I'm going to clean them, but I didn't have time
to clean them, so I just threw them back in
the box. And I'll clean them, but I don't even
know if they're going to work or not. Since they
got wet. Who knows?

Speaker 3 (31:59):
It's going to sound like when you hear us, it's
going to sound like we're gargling. They're expensive, man. And
I've dropped the phone in the toilet before.

Speaker 8 (32:07):
It's everyone else that used the restroom before me, which
is what would freak me out.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
Here's the thing. It's early. And Rich is probably the
first person to use that bathroom.

Speaker 13 (32:17):
I am not.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
And they usually come in and they scrub it crazy.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
I walked right in after Matt. Just walked right out.
Down the hall.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Christina, what's up? Good morning. You're on the air.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
Hi, I had sent a text because I had the
same problem with my texting that Kyle had with hers,
but I have an iPhone.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
You're talking about you couldn't, you couldn't get group texts
or something, Kyle?

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Like I would miss certain group texts from like one
person in the group and, or like something like that,
but like they weren't coming through. And then it started
happening more and more with other people. And then Apple
was like, I have no idea. We've never seen this before.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
That is so frustrating. So over the weekend, also, I
was trying to get to still fix the situation, not
knowing that I've probably been missing a lot of texts.
And my friend went on Claude and ChatGPT and the
Google AI and all, like, I tried everything. And then

(33:18):
I went back into my ChatGPT and I was like, okay,
you said before that other people have been reporting this.
Has anybody else reported an actual fix yet? And if
you had the same problem with me on an Android,
I don't know what the iPhone fix is. I think
a lot of people had told me that you have
to turn RCS chats on to get your group texts
with Androids. But basically all I had to do was

(33:41):
go into the actual Play Store and uninstall updates on
Google Messages. Turn off the phone.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Turn it back on.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
And when I did that, 61 messages.

Speaker 9 (33:50):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
You're like, see, people do like me. Sorry I missed
your texts. Then you had to go in.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
And, like, sign me out of, like, my Apple account
in FaceTime and the messages. Sign me back in. And
then all the messages were in my deleted messages.

Speaker 8 (34:09):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
That's so crazy.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
Phones technology is so bizarre.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Or somebody's got your account, Christina.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
An ex or something.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Well, and so I have one more thing because I
know you guys moved fast. So I'm like– so there
was two things that both from the show– so over
the weekend, my– My husband was with my father-in-law and
mother-in-law and one of their friends. And my father-in-law confessed
that he had hooked up with my mother-in-law's friend when
they were in college before they got together. And she

(34:39):
never knew. They've been married 50 years and she never knew.
And I was like, oh my God, this just happened
on John Jay and Rich. But the girl ended the
engagement when she found out. And I'm like, this has
been going on 50 years and your mother-in-law still doesn't
know that This woman she's, like, friends with has slept
with your father-in-law. With my father-in-law.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
That's a long secret to keep.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
Is the best friend still in her life or in
their life?

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Yes.

Speaker 9 (35:05):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, but my mother-in-law doesn't know.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
She still doesn't know.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
Oh, my God. I guess don't tell her because everything's
been fine.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
50 years.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
I wouldn't want to know at that point.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
My husband was like, I didn't want to know this.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
No, he's got to carry it.

Speaker 8 (35:21):
Right.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
And then when she finds out, then she'll be like,
the last 50 years was a lie.

Speaker 15 (35:27):
A lie.

Speaker 8 (35:28):
A lie.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Everything was true.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
All right.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Thank you, Christina. Thanks for calling in.

Speaker 14 (35:32):
All right.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
I mean, if anybody ever wants to spill a family
secret on our show, our lines are wide open for
you always.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
I want to play something for you guys. I want
you to guess what these two audio clips have in common.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Okay? Guess what they have in common.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
Hi, how you doing, Lori? I'm good, how are you?
Lori Ryan from Austin, Texas.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
That's right. A hairstylist in Austin, hey? That's right.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
Talk about your.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Family a little bit.

Speaker 16 (35:52):
I have a wonderful husband, Joseph, at home, who is
watching our two beautiful children, Colby, who is seven, and Tylee,
who is one.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
Yeah, what do you guys like to do for fun?

Speaker 11 (36:00):
We like to play all kinds of sports on our
three acres.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
What's the biggest mistake you made at your wedding? Honey,
I love you, but said I do.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Not my mistake. I love my wife. I'm going to
get in trouble for that, aren't I?

Speaker 8 (36:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
What do you think they have in common? Kyle, guess.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
Their significant others were mad at them after being on
the shows.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
No, that's a good guess, but no.

Speaker 12 (36:24):
Rich?

Speaker 2 (36:26):
Could it be that the wife and the husband are
actually married? Or the contestants are married to each other?

Speaker 8 (36:32):
No.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
What do you think?

Speaker 8 (36:33):
I was kind of on the same tip as Kyle.
I thought that they were just talking about their significant others,
that they loved them.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
The first clip. is Lori Vallow. She was on Wheel
of Fortune 2004. In 2023, she was found guilty of
murdering her two children. She mentions them in this clip.

Speaker 8 (36:50):
What the hell?

Speaker 3 (36:50):
And Joseph was her third husband out of five.

Speaker 10 (36:53):
What?

Speaker 6 (36:54):
The second clip is Timothy Belfnick. He was on Family
Feud in 2020, and he was convicted of murdering his
wife in 2023. And he jokingly regrets saying.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
I do. Isn't that creepy? That's so creepy.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Oh, there's a thing on BuzzFeed about these people that
are all on a game show, and they've all murdered people.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 8 (37:13):
Wasn't there like a serial killer on a game show?
They just came out with a movie starring Anna Kendrick
in it.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Rodney Alcala. He was in The Dating Game in 1978.

Speaker 8 (37:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
The exact number of victims remains unknown. They think it's
around 130. Oh, my. That's so disturbing. And she didn't
go out.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
With them again.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
I know, right?

Speaker 5 (37:30):
She was like, yeah, this dude's creepy.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
Then there was Donna Adelson. She was on Wheel of
Fortune in the 80s. She was sentenced to life in
prison for arranging the murder of her former son-in-law. Paul Curry,
he was a two-time champion in Jeopardy in 1989. In 2014,
he was sentenced to life in prison for murdering his wife.
And Edward Wayne Edwards... It was on a game show
called To Tell the Truth in 1972. He killed five people,

(37:53):
a couple in 1977, another couple in 1980, his stepson
in 1996, and then he was arrested in 2009.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Horrifying. Oh, my gosh. This is horrifying.

Speaker 9 (38:01):
What's he saying?

Speaker 1 (38:03):
Oh, man.

Speaker 14 (38:04):
I'm crazy, man.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
I got to tell you those serial killer things, man.
Speaking of TV, I missed out on a lot of
TV this weekend over the holidays.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
My wife watches tennis.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
She's a huge tennis fan.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
And we were in San Diego over the weekend, and
she dominated the TV, so I couldn't really watch my shows.

Speaker 6 (38:23):
But she is a huge tennis fan. Did you see
the clip of her favorite tennis player is Sabalinka?

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Was that when he took his shirt off or something
like that?

Speaker 3 (38:32):
No, Sabalinka is a woman, and she had to have
them stop the.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
Game because there was so much weed in the audience.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Where is that clip? She addresses it?

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
I smell weed? Yeah, yeah, yeah. She goes, can you
please stop that? That is in New York, right? That's
what New York smells like during the day. Yeah, here
it is. And focusing on hitting the target.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
I love the smoking weed, so would you mind doing this?

Speaker 14 (38:58):
It's so strong.

Speaker 8 (38:59):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
I don't know if you could hear that at home,
but apparently there might be someone smoking a little marijuana.

Speaker 5 (39:07):
I feel like there was a lot of those moments
during the U.S.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
Open.

Speaker 8 (39:10):
I saw Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka on press interviews
talking about the influencers and etiquette when it comes to
tennis and how you have to be quiet. And if
you're going to be here, at least know the rules
of the game so you're not taking us outside of it.
I was like I saw that.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
And I was like dang the influencers are causing a
big problem yeah because they're like taking all their pictures
and the flash and they're like they're like there's no.

Speaker 8 (39:31):
Etiquette so they're basically like we love that you're here
we love that you're spreading awareness to the game but
at least know what you're coming into how.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
Embarrassing though if you're the one that caused that problem
that call you out in that way yeah I was thinking, okay,
so I had to look it up, but there was,
there's a tennis player called named Carlos Alcarez.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
He's the greatest player of all time.

Speaker 4 (39:49):
He took his shirt off and then like, he was
off for so long. It caused like a frenzy. Like
people were like, Oh, like suiting over him. And like
the announcers, I guess we're like talking about, no, he's
leaving his shirt off for a long time. I think
he's liking the fact.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Alcarez is an amazing player. Again, I've watched this now
because of my wife nonstop and Alcarez, he just, Travis
Scott was there and he dropped the Travis Scott collab
with Alcarez and They're sick tennis shoes. I tried to
buy them.

Speaker 6 (40:14):
I tried to find them, and they only came out
on my birthday on September 4th, and they were only
at a store in New York.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 6 (40:19):
They're the coolest shoes I've ever seen. But anyway, Alcaraz
is also the guy. He's so gifted and he works
so hard. So he won and he's going to play
a player. He's playing somebody tomorrow and he doesn't even
know who he's playing. And they're interviewing him.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
Yeah, are you excited? You might be playing Ben Shelton.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
He's like, I am? I didn't know. He's not even
like studying the person that he's going to play because
he's so good. Yeah, just because he knows he's going
to whip some butt.

Speaker 6 (40:43):
And then there's two women players that were playing each other.
Both their dads are billionaires. So they called it like
the most expensive match.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
In the history of tennis. Yeah, I'm sure the train
is nuts.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Yeah, it was crazy. But anyway, so I couldn't watch
my shows, so I was limited. I only had limited
TV time because my wife's taking over the TV with tennis,
but I was able to watch the most recent episode
of Lioness.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
Awesome.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
Are you guys on that at all?

Speaker 2 (41:08):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
It is freaking phenomenal and scary.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
The first, I would say the first 60 seconds, they
just devastate all media in the first 60 seconds of
the show, where they tell you everything that's going on,
and I think... they should be worried about Russians coming
after them. That's what I was thinking.

Speaker 3 (41:26):
I'm watching the show and I've heard.

Speaker 6 (41:29):
Somebody I know is married to somebody that used to
be high up and they say that show is completely 100% real.
And I don't get it because I feel like whoever
created the show and is the guy that, you know,
I love this guy that the foreigners, the Russians and
Iranians are going to, we got.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
To kill this guy.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
I kind of heard that this weekend too, from like
somebody who investigated her job was she was a CSI
murder investigator. in Silicon Valley. So all these billionaires, tech
billionaires get murdered. And she was saying that the Russians
taken out people because, you know, like they can just
land on American soil and take out people. Happens a lot.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
I feel like now we're going to get taken out
because we're talking about this. It feels dangerous.

Speaker 6 (42:10):
We're going to play a minute to win it. We
need a contestant at 877-937-1047. I did start watching Chad Powers.

Speaker 5 (42:16):
So good.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
Is it good?

Speaker 3 (42:17):
Because I'm halfway through the first episode.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
I'm like, am I getting into this?

Speaker 4 (42:20):
I finished the whole thing. I loved it.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Oh, good.

Speaker 5 (42:22):
There's so many moments where you just... like laugh out
loud like you can't help yourself.

Speaker 6 (42:27):
By the way lioness is on paramount plus chad powers
is on hulu is there anything else that's anyone's watching
it's good.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
Anyway oh that movie fuse did you see that on
a hbo max no it's just a movie it's a
like a bank heist movie from start to finish go
go go go go uh sam worthington's the only name
i recognize but then there's other people you see and
you're like oh yeah but it's like a it's like
a bank heist uh bomb movie And I think it's
a really good hour and a half watch. Just go.

(42:53):
Moves a thousand miles an hour.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
I'm stressed because right now is one of those moments
in my life where there's lots of shows to watch.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
There's a lot. I know.

Speaker 4 (42:58):
There's a lot to keep track of.

Speaker 3 (43:00):
It's like all these shows come out and then there's
nothing for like two months. And then all these shows
come out. Pilar, good morning. You got a comment on
Rich dropping his earbuds in his own urine.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Yes? Yes.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
Hi.

Speaker 11 (43:13):
I suggested to put them into silica because we had
our daughter's phone.

Speaker 12 (43:19):
drop in the pool, so one of the moms told
us to do that, so it worked out pretty good.

Speaker 5 (43:24):
He put his new pee buds in there.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
You're saying that.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
Like those little packets that come in your, like, shoes
and dry packets.

Speaker 5 (43:34):
Oh, that soaks up the moisture.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
I was like, huh?

Speaker 6 (43:36):
You're saying that so that they still work. I think
he's worried about putting them in their ears because it
was in his pee.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
Well, that is gross, yes. That doesn't bother me.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
It's his own pee, so he should be good.

Speaker 5 (43:46):
Yeah. Just a little 409.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Those things are like a thousand bucks, right? Well, now,
mine are old. Mine are like 10 years old, but
I'm sure I paid around $ 700 for them back in
the day.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
Because I use them on stage, too.

Speaker 13 (44:00):
My husband said to put them in the sun.

Speaker 9 (44:03):
Put them in the sun.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
Put them where the sun don't shine.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Thanks, Pilar. That'll be a fun report to fill out
because they have a lifetime warranty. If they don't work,
I'll be like, well, I dropped them in my own pee,
and now they don't work. Well, if they have a
lifetime warranty, then you could probably send them back. Yeah. Well,
I'm just curious to see if they work. Fortunately, of course,
I have a pair of backups. All right, we're going
to play a minute to win it.

Speaker 3 (44:23):
Justin is our contestant.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
What's up, Justin? How we doing?

Speaker 3 (44:27):
All right, man.

Speaker 6 (44:28):
You're going to be playing for $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money.

Speaker 3 (44:30):
What are you doing right now?

Speaker 2 (44:31):
Where are you? What part of town are you in?

Speaker 8 (44:35):
We're like Peoria area.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
Just dropping my kids off.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
All right. So can you hear us okay? Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
Good luck.

Speaker 4 (44:46):
Dante and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from Peoria
Ford right now.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Minute to win it.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
Okay, Justin, 60 seconds on the clock. You got this.
Lock it in. Get all 10 right and you win $ 1, 000.
Here we go. Which rapper created the alter ego Slim Shady?

Speaker 3 (45:05):
Marshall Mathers.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
Okay, what's the rapper's name?

Speaker 17 (45:08):
Eminem.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
In chess, what term means the opposing king is trapped
with no legal escape? Checkmate. What soccer star holds the
men's record for most international goals?

Speaker 1 (45:27):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 8 (45:29):
Ronaldo.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
Ronaldo. Who wrote The Lord of the Rings?

Speaker 13 (45:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (45:48):
J.J.? J.J.

Speaker 7 (45:50):
J.R.R.

Speaker 8 (45:51):
Tolkien?

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Tolkien, I will take that, yes. What five-letter word game
gives players six tries to guess the daily word?

Speaker 14 (46:00):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 13 (46:03):
Oh, Lord.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
Looking for Wordle.

Speaker 12 (46:07):
Wordle.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
Did you guys think of Tolkien, or did you have
to look that up? Yeah, that cost you a little bit.
She was doing pretty good there. I was out there.
I was trying to think of the director of the
movie and I was wrong. Well, thanks for playing, Justin.

Speaker 10 (46:30):
I appreciate you guys.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
I'm wondering if I'm being... I feel like when we
play this game, the rules have to be very strict, right?
Because it's $ 1, 000. So if Justin is a contestant, But
the person in the background said Tolkien, and you gave
him a buzz.

Speaker 6 (46:44):
You gave him a ding. Like, I think that shouldn't... Oh,
until he says Tolkien. Until he says it, he has
to say it. Because he's the contestant. That's how I
look at it. This is a thousand bucks, man. We're
not screwing around. Speaking of prizes, we got tickets to Disneyland, like,
in 20 minutes. And we're going to do this every day. So, like,
hopefully yesterday was Labor Day. You were able to listen
because we gave out magic words all day. You only
got to know three of them. And we're going to

(47:06):
ask you for three of them at the top of
the hour this morning. And we'll do it every single day.
So then today, again... We will start more magic words
and we'll give away more tickets tomorrow. It's freaking amazing.
I love when you do this Disney giveaway.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Love it.

Speaker 3 (47:18):
So 4th of July weekend, I was in San Diego
and I think I told you guys that I fell
in the ocean and lost my phone.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
Get this.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
Two days ago, I'm in San Diego. I decided to
jump into the ocean. Lost my whoop.

Speaker 8 (47:32):
Oh, no.

Speaker 4 (47:33):
The sea just wants all of your things.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
My whoop falls off.

Speaker 6 (47:37):
You know what's funny is I post a little video
on my Instagram, on my stories, and I got all
these DMs. And I thought the people that listen or
follow me on Instagram are so funny because everyone comments like.

Speaker 3 (47:46):
Whoop, there it goes.

Speaker 6 (47:48):
There's all these whoop, whoop, all these whoop jokes. But
so then I go, I call the whoop. I go
on the whoop app and I'm talking to somebody on
the whoop app. And I'm pretty sure it's A.I., And
I'm like, hey, it fell in the ocean, man. Like,
what can you do? And they're like, sorry, it's not
under warranty for ocean stuff. And it should be because
the pan failed. Is it water resistant? It should be
water resistant. But I'm saying it's water gone. The sea

(48:12):
swallowed it. And I'm talking to this person over and
over for a while. And then I'm realizing, is it AI?

Speaker 2 (48:17):
Is it not AI? And then they email me.

Speaker 3 (48:19):
And she tells me her name is Irish. Does that
sound like an AI name?

Speaker 2 (48:23):
It doesn't sound like an AI name.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
I don't know how to break them to tell if
they're AI or not, you know, but going back and
forth with emails, I'm like, okay, so can I get
a discount? Cause I've been such a loyal fan.

Speaker 6 (48:33):
And then the way they respond is either it's so
professional that I think it's not real.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
Like what, what, when you say, can I get a discount?
What does it say back?

Speaker 3 (48:41):
We don't offer discounts, but we can give you 15%
off the store. If you buy something, it was just weird.
It was just so tech speak. So in the can, man,
by the way, we were talking about TV shows. did
you see this? This is a bummer that streaming prices
are going up now again.

Speaker 4 (48:58):
It's like there's two.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
Stop.

Speaker 8 (48:59):
Stop.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Now we're going to have to start making choices.

Speaker 4 (49:02):
Everyone went to streaming because it was just like a
cheaper option and now it's not because you have to
have all the different streaming ones. So now it's just
as expensive or even more than just cable.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Apple TV launched at $ 4. 99 a month back in 2019.
It has tripled since then. Disney launched the same year
at $ 6. 99 without ads. Now it's $ 11. 99 with ads. Netflix
premium is up 125% since 2013.

Speaker 6 (49:21):
The cheapest out of all of them is Paramount +.

Speaker 3 (49:24):
But they're up over 80% over the last five years.
So apparently it costs $ 151 a month to have all
eight major streaming services without ads or bundle commitments. Four
years ago, it was $ 90.

Speaker 8 (49:42):
Lame.

Speaker 3 (49:43):
I don't like that at all.

Speaker 8 (49:46):
And what really is such a bummer too, it's like
you think that you're like getting a cheaper option if
you bundle them together.

Speaker 5 (49:52):
But in reality, if you break it down, it's like
the same exact price.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (49:57):
They're not tricking us.

Speaker 5 (49:58):
No, you're not pulling one over on me.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
Do you know, maybe at some point they should make
it free but just have ads. I would be all
over that.

Speaker 5 (50:05):
Yeah, bring that commercial.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
Oh my God, here's a text.

Speaker 4 (50:09):
I would watch commercials for that.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Might as well.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
Let's talk about serial killers on a game show. Peyton
was on a game show. She's going to kill us all.

Speaker 8 (50:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (50:16):
Watch out.

Speaker 8 (50:17):
No, I was thinking though, it does kind of make
you think like, I wonder if someone will pop up
in 20 years and there'll be a document.

Speaker 5 (50:23):
It won't be me, but it might be someone.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
So they've got that great.

Speaker 4 (50:27):
What if it's the people that you guys battled against?

Speaker 5 (50:29):
And they come from our family because we won? That
would be tea.

Speaker 2 (50:32):
They must have a personality type, like a sociopath personality
type that just fits game shows. They want fame. Well, yeah,
they're like, they can get away with anything because they
can go on a game show. Everybody thinks they're a
great contestant.

Speaker 8 (50:42):
Right.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
I never saw Little Mermaid, but.

Speaker 8 (50:45):
What?

Speaker 2 (50:45):
I've never seen Little Mermaid. You've got to watch it.

Speaker 14 (50:47):
It's so good.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
But it says here, Ariel is living for you getting
in the ocean.

Speaker 17 (50:51):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
Does she steal things from behind?

Speaker 8 (50:53):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
But she just loves human things.

Speaker 5 (50:55):
She's got all the thinking mobs.

Speaker 4 (50:56):
Dinglehopper.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (51:01):
Check in with.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 8 (51:05):
And hit the top back mic.

Speaker 3 (51:06):
Dara, good morning. You're on the air.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
How are you?

Speaker 8 (51:09):
I'm here.

Speaker 11 (51:11):
Hi, this is Dara.

Speaker 13 (51:13):
I was wondering if you could throw a prayer for
my daughter.

Speaker 17 (51:16):
Um, backstory is that you threw a similar prayer a
year ago.

Speaker 9 (51:21):
And her wish came true.

Speaker 11 (51:23):
So I'm hoping the same thing can happen again.

Speaker 3 (51:25):
Okay. You got it. Here we go. Throwing a prayer out.

Speaker 16 (51:29):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
Good luck. Let us know.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 14 (51:33):
I will.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Probably the background on that. I thought about it the
other day. I went about 10 years ago. I was
going to church and I remember, uh, the preacher, Terry Crist,
the guy's amazing. He was talking about praying for other people.
And I was like, man, that's wild. And I thought
I prayed for some people and like good things happen.
So I remember I was at a red light and
I saw a homeless guy and I took my hand
and I went like, I was throwing, you know, like

(51:56):
a flicking water on somebody. And I was throwing a
prayer and I was like, I started throwing prayers for people.
And then things started.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
Happening, Peyton.

Speaker 4 (52:03):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (52:03):
The power of prayer and praying for other people. So
now people called in the show and asked me to
pray for them. Now it is hot outside.

Speaker 2 (52:10):
Is it not? It's very hot.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
San Diego over.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
The weekend, 72. That's not very hot. That's kind of nice.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
Here, it's really hot.

Speaker 12 (52:24):
Hot, hot, hot.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
Kind of humid, too.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
So we want to know, what is the heat destroyed
of yours? I think everybody here has got a story.
We want to hear 877-937-1047. Kelly, how hot is it?
What happened? What got destroyed?

Speaker 17 (52:38):
Besides my soul, I had two things. I went in
for a mammogram and an unopened can of Diet Coke
exploded all over my dashboard and the roof of my Prius. Yeah,
the bummer, light gray turned dark brown. And then the
other thing was I had a pair of Nike tennis
shoes in the back of my car for a couple

(52:59):
of days and I went to go get them and
the whole soul came off.

Speaker 4 (53:04):
The heat does not like shoes. We left my son's
Crocs outside and they literally shrunk like three sizes.

Speaker 2 (53:11):
Oh, really? I get where it would melt the glue
on a shoe, but the shrink at three sizes is nuts.

Speaker 8 (53:16):
I've had a water bottle completely shrivel up. Like a
size you have, John J. You carry around those big gallons,
just shriveled right up.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
Well, you take a little Cialis and put it in.

Speaker 8 (53:28):
There.

Speaker 15 (53:29):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 17 (53:30):
So anyway, lesson learned. Every time I have anything that's
enclosed in some sort of a can.

Speaker 4 (53:35):
I take it out.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
And don't leave your, uh, your plastic sunglasses on the dashboard. Bad, bad, bad.
Thanks Kelly.

Speaker 17 (53:41):
Yeah, it's my pleasure.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
Bye.

Speaker 6 (53:46):
Uh, I had this nose spray, you know, I carry
with me all the time and I feel the opposite. Like,
it gets really hot and burny, and the nose spray
I keep it in my glove box, and I put
it up my nose, and it just cleans everything out
for like a month.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
God, man.

Speaker 4 (53:58):
It doesn't sound safe.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
I think the molecules in that thing change in the heat.

Speaker 2 (54:02):
It seems like it's burning. What does the sun make
more powerful?

Speaker 3 (54:07):
Jason, what happened to you? What got destroyed in the heat?

Speaker 13 (54:11):
Oh, well, I had a... It's a can of pepper
spray I had for work, but it The name brand
was Capstan, so that's what the issue was. What the
hell are you talking about? That morning.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
What are you saying? I didn't understand a word you said.
I didn't get it either, actually.

Speaker 4 (54:29):
Something with a pepper spray.

Speaker 2 (54:31):
Yeah, it's a pepper spray.

Speaker 3 (54:32):
Okay, so you had a pepper spray in your car
and it exploded?

Speaker 13 (54:34):
Yeah, because that morning I had gotten a fresh can
from work and I threw it in the cup holder
and I went the afternoon, I went out to lunch
and I parked on a one-way street. So I guess
while I was eating lunch, I heated it up and

(54:54):
then I was coming back out to get in my
car and there's, you know, traffic coming. So I hurry
up and I guess when I opened the door, I'm
thinking that, you know, the pressure or something and it exploded.
So I jumped in because there was vehicles coming. So
I jumped in and then I got hit with the
whole with the whole effect of the pepper spray inside

(55:16):
my car.

Speaker 3 (55:16):
So you're like in a hurry, and you don't know
that the pepper, did it burn your eyes and stuff?

Speaker 13 (55:21):
Yeah, it got all over me, all over my skin,
my clothes. I mean, that's like law enforcement grade.

Speaker 5 (55:27):
Oh, man.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
You know, you talk like a pilot.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
You're like, yeah, and I parked on a one-way street.
The pepper spray exploded. We're going to be landing here shortly.
All right.

Speaker 3 (55:38):
Thanks, Jason.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Thanks. I'm glad he's okay.

Speaker 3 (55:41):
Christy. What did the heat destroy of yours?

Speaker 6 (55:45):
As far as I know, Christy, next week, the weather's
going to be in the 90s, and I don't know
if this is the beginning of it getting back down,
but we only have so many days to get into
the casino.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
We should have done this earlier.

Speaker 4 (55:55):
No, we're assessing the damage of the season.

Speaker 3 (55:57):
Now's the time.

Speaker 2 (55:58):
To do it.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
So what did the heat destroy of yours, Christy?

Speaker 12 (56:01):
The heat melted my blink doorbell camera, you know, the
doorbell camera things. My house faces west. And it gets
a beat down from the sun. And I came home
one day and the poor thing was laying on the
front deck. And I attached it, screwed it back on,

(56:21):
and then it melted the batteries that were inside.

Speaker 14 (56:25):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
That could have been bad. Yeah. We really do live
on the surface of the sun, don't we?

Speaker 4 (56:29):
That's insane.

Speaker 5 (56:31):
I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, though.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
Yeah, me either.

Speaker 3 (56:34):
Well, thank you, Christy.

Speaker 8 (56:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (56:37):
I had a pair of flip-flops or slides and they
were outside, but the shade was on one of them.
And then the other one like faded really, it's a
totally different color now and it shrank a little bit, but.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
I still wear them.

Speaker 6 (56:51):
But it's like, it looks, it looks like I'm wearing
different shoes. So it's supposed to be 106 today, 104 tomorrow, 105, 101,
then 97, 96, 92, 96, 98, 99.

Speaker 2 (56:56):
That's all.

Speaker 3 (56:57):
That's what I got till next Thursday.

Speaker 8 (56:58):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (57:04):
Which I find interesting. It excites me that it's down
in the 90s. I feel like, okay, we made it.

Speaker 3 (57:10):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (57:11):
Usually by October around here, it's not brutal. It's still hot,
but not brutal. Hold on a second. Hello?

Speaker 3 (57:17):
Good morning, John, Jane, Rich.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Who's this?

Speaker 14 (57:18):
Alexa, talk to the session.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
She said Alexa to call KSFM.

Speaker 3 (57:25):
Oh, you already did.

Speaker 8 (57:28):
Done.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Boy, your Alexa's working ahead of you. That's hot. Your
Alexa's become sentient. Everybody called us.

Speaker 3 (57:35):
Every line's ringing. It's got to be for the Disney tickets,
as I wanted them to say.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Let me see. Let's see. Hello. Good morning, John Jane Rich. Hello.

Speaker 14 (57:46):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
Yes.

Speaker 7 (57:47):
Are you calling for the Disneyland yet?

Speaker 2 (57:49):
I'm glad you called. We are going to do that
in just a little bit. You've got to keep listening. Okay,
I will.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
All right, good luck.

Speaker 4 (57:55):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Good luck. You got it.

Speaker 5 (57:56):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (57:57):
Yeah, so we got your shot at Disneyland tickets just
minutes away. You got to make sure you have three
of those keywords ready to go. First, Ariana Grande.

Speaker 4 (58:04):
All right, it's time.

Speaker 8 (58:05):
We're looking for caller 104 right now.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
877-937-1047.

Speaker 6 (58:11):
Caller 104 will get tickets to Disneyland. Where is my
Disney information? And we're going to do it every single day.
So we give out the magic words every hour. About

(58:33):
five minutes after the hour, we're going to give you
a Disney magic word.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
You've got to save it.

Speaker 6 (58:36):
Collect as many magic words as you can. And the
next day at 8 a.m., we will take caller 104.
And if you give us three magic words from the
day before, you win Disney tickets. Four two-day, one part-per-day passes.
And you qualify for the grand prize, Disney Vacation, which
is four three-day, one-park-per-day passes and hotel at the Disneyland Resort.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
So we started yesterday.

Speaker 6 (58:59):
Now, I happen to see on social media that our
executive producer, Nick Johnstone, was at Disneyland with his kids.

Speaker 3 (59:06):
How was it, Nick?

Speaker 9 (59:07):
You guys, it was magic.

Speaker 14 (59:10):
We went for two days and uh i've been to
disneyland a handful of times and it might have been
my favorite trip ever oh yay yeah we went to
california adventure the first day got to ride all like
the adventure full rides and then uh My kids are
six and four, and so Disneyland was, I mean, it
was incredible.

Speaker 9 (59:30):
We just had the best time.

Speaker 3 (59:31):
So you are a millennial. Am I right, Nick?

Speaker 14 (59:33):
Si.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (59:35):
BuzzFeed put together the things that millennials are doing that
annoy Gen Z.

Speaker 8 (59:40):
Literally everything Nick does annoys me, so I'm really interested
to hear that.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
Well, guess what?

Speaker 3 (59:44):
Disney adults are on this list.

Speaker 9 (59:47):
Okay, that's fair.

Speaker 5 (59:48):
Nick is a Disney adult.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
For sure. I've never seen him wear like a normal shirt.
It's always got some kind of Disney thing on it.

Speaker 8 (59:54):
I'm pretty sure Nick and his wife got engaged at Disneyland.
That is like ultimate Disney.

Speaker 2 (59:58):
Oh, for sure. Did you get engaged at Disneyland?

Speaker 3 (59:59):
Yeah, we did.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:00:01):
And it blew the kids' minds. We were like, we
need to take a picture right here, right in front
of the castle. This is where mommy and daddy got engaged.
And they were like, when? We're like, well, before we
were married, before you guys. And they were like, no,
you didn't. We're like, we had lives before you both.

Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
What color are we at right now?

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
Let's see.

Speaker 9 (01:00:21):
It's Collar 76. Oh, really?

Speaker 6 (01:00:23):
Hooking right along. Collar 104. So BuzzFeed put together the
things that millennials are doing that annoy Gen Z. Okay,
so hustle culture is one. Gen Z agrees that working
100 hours a week is not a flex anymore. They
think self-care is a lot better than burnout.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
90s nostalgia. Millennials love telling everyone how great their childhood was.

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
Oops.

Speaker 6 (01:00:45):
These are things that annoy Gen Z. Making Harry Potter references.
Calling someone a Slytherin is not the insult you think
it is. Saying the phrase, we did a thing.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
We did a thing.

Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
You know, my wife, she says this.

Speaker 6 (01:01:00):
I told her, I finally brought this up after she's
been doing it for a long time. She always says,
all the things. We went to Disneyland, all the things.
Did all the things.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
And I told her now, I go, I'm going to
bring it up every time you do it. Because she goes, no,
I don't. So yesterday she's telling the story. She goes,
you know, and then we went there and did all
the things. I go, all the things? She goes, that's
one of the things. Taking pictures of your avocado toast
is something that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Annoys Gen Z. I think that annoys everybody now.

Speaker 6 (01:01:25):
And finally, being too comfortable in relationships. Millennials love telling
you that they fart in front of their girlfriend or
their boyfriend.

Speaker 8 (01:01:34):
Anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
So where are we at right now?

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
I didn't hear her say anything.

Speaker 5 (01:01:37):
Your caller 100.

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
Ooh, here we go.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Your caller 101.

Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Your caller 102.

Speaker 4 (01:01:40):
Your caller 103. Caller 104 is on line one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
Okay. Caller 104 is on line one. Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
They got to get... I have all of the magic
words in front of me.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
I know.

Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
I hope they have three of them.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
Okay. Here we go. Let's see. Hello.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Good morning, John Jane Rich.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
Who's this?

Speaker 7 (01:02:03):
Hello. This is Lisa.

Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Lisa, you are caller 104.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
No way.

Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:02:11):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 7 (01:02:13):
That is so exciting.

Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
That's part one. That's part one, Lisa. What are you doing?
Where are you right now? What are you doing?

Speaker 17 (01:02:19):
I'm at home.

Speaker 10 (01:02:20):
I was watering my trees.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
Watering your tees? Trees.

Speaker 14 (01:02:25):
Oh. Trees.

Speaker 5 (01:02:26):
My tees.

Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
You got to take care of your alphabet, too. They
need water.

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
Sorry. If you give us three of the 10 magic words,
you get to Z-Line tickets. Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
I'm ready.

Speaker 8 (01:02:42):
California.

Speaker 7 (01:02:43):
Halloween.

Speaker 8 (01:02:45):
Did you hear that one? And adventure.

Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
You got it, Lisa.

Speaker 4 (01:02:57):
Oh, my God. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
That's so awesome. Well, congratulations. So you got tickets. And
you're throwing in the hopper for the grand prize, too.

Speaker 6 (01:03:06):
The grand prize is four three-day, one-park-per-day passes hotel at
the Disneyland Resort.

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
So congratulations, Lisa.

Speaker 8 (01:03:15):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
Thanks for listening.

Speaker 4 (01:03:17):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
Hold on the line.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
All that information.

Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Hold on.

Speaker 6 (01:03:21):
That's so great. So you got to collect as many
magic words as you can throughout the day. So we
start this morning probably at 10, right?

Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
10.20. 10.05. 10.05.

Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
10.05.

Speaker 6 (01:03:31):
We're going to start giving you magic words. Write them down.
Then tomorrow at this time, we will ask you for
those magic words. Very simple.

Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
All right. That's awesome. The magic words.

Speaker 3 (01:03:41):
You can throw this list away.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
They're still magic words, though.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
You ever get halfway to the airport and remember you
left something behind in your hotel room?

Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Yes. Oh, yeah. Usually a charger. Oh, my God. That's
funny you say that.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
According to hotel staff, these are the items that guests
forget the most when checking out. Number one, phone chargers.

Speaker 6 (01:04:04):
They're often plugged in behind nightstands or desks.

Speaker 3 (01:04:08):
Yup.

Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
At least three of those have met their doom in
a hotel room.

Speaker 4 (01:04:12):
And you're like, ugh, but it's not worth it to
go back for that.

Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
Clothes and swimsuits.

Speaker 6 (01:04:17):
A lot of times people will forget clothes they left
in drawers or bathing suits they left hanging out to
dry in the bathroom. toothbrushes, skin care products are always
left behind. Sex toys.

Speaker 5 (01:04:30):
Oh, gross.

Speaker 4 (01:04:32):
So bad for them finding them.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
Yeah, because you're not going to call the hotel Boston Found.

Speaker 5 (01:04:36):
But really annoying if you did accidentally forget it. Like,
I could see how that could be an inconvenience.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
I lost my Nibbis 2000. Korean Potter reference, by the way. Millennial.
Put your microphone away.

Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
I know, I know, I know.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
We were talking about the U.S. Open.

Speaker 6 (01:04:52):
Earlier, the tennis tournament in New York, and there were
these two women in pink tennis outfits going through the
audience and handing out pink tennis balls. And the crowd
was going crazy for it. And then someone grabbed a look,
and they were sex toys.

Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
Uh-oh. In the shape of tennis balls.

Speaker 8 (01:05:08):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Yeah, that vibrate.

Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
Oh, I think I did see that.

Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
That's pretty wild. Why? I'm getting crazy over there.

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
These are things people leave behind in hotel rooms. Jewelry, wallets, cash,
and passports.

Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
That's bad. Forgetting your ID is pretty hard to travel. Dentures.
How do you forget that?

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
Sometimes people do dentures on bathroom counters.

Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
How are you not looking in the mirror and seeing
that you don't have any teeth there?

Speaker 4 (01:05:31):
Wouldn't you feel it?

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
You would think. Or the first bite into your little snack,
you'd be like, hey, wait a minute. I'm missing my teeth.

Speaker 6 (01:05:38):
Chance the Rapper tickets are on the line in about
20 minutes. First, Kyle and Peyton are going to break
down everything in entertainment from Andrew Garfield to Jelly Roll
to Jay-Z.

Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
We're going to cover it all next. It's John Jay
and Rich.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
This is John Jay and Rich.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
Kyle and Peyton breaking down everything trending in entertainment.

Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
What do you guys got?

Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
It's pretty exciting, and you've probably seen them doing a
lot of promotion for it because this Thursday, Sandra Bullock
and Nicole Kidman are finally back together in Practical Magic 2.
This time, the curse of everyone they fall in love
with dies is now coming for the next generation. So
Sally's Daughters, played by Joey King and Maisie Williams, they
get pulled into the family's whole witchy mess. Sally and Julie,

(01:06:19):
they have to team up with the aunts to try
to break this curse once and for all. It's got sisterhood, romance,
family secrets, and yes, the midnight margaritas are back as well.
So if you've been waiting almost 30 years for this,
I know there are many that who have been waiting.
Gather your friends and family, your coven, whatever you got,
because Practical Magic 2 is only in theaters this 30th.

(01:06:39):
It is rated PG-13, so maybe inappropriate for kids under 13.
The Emmys are next Monday, and The Pit... is basically
the show to beat. They've got a ridiculous 25 nominations.
Hacks is right behind them with 24. But I thought
this was very interesting. Taylor Swift already had her first
chance at an Emmy this weekend. They had, you know,
the heiress tour was up for a whole bunch of them.

(01:07:01):
And they had this huge ceremony. And she just decided
to opt out and go to dinner with Travis. They're
in their newlywed honeymoon era. And I think that that's
so amazing. I think Bad Bunny ended up winning one
of them that she was nominated for. Oh, for the
Halftime Show.

Speaker 9 (01:07:15):
For the Halftime Show, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:07:16):
So the Creative Arts Emmys were over the weekend. And
there was some really big wins. Like Sabrina Carpenter, she
got her first Emmy as an executive producer of The
Muppet Show. Julie Andrews, she made history by beating herself
as the oldest women to women Emmys, voicing Lady Whistledown.
And then, yeah, Alan Cummings took one for The Traitors,
Mariska Hargitay for her documentary.

Speaker 4 (01:07:35):
My Mom Jane.

Speaker 8 (01:07:35):
So lots of good wins over the weekend. But I
know the pit and all those big ones are.

Speaker 3 (01:07:41):
Coming up pretty soon.

Speaker 4 (01:07:42):
That'll be Monday. Next Monday is when the Emmys are.

Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
The JFK show won a bunch, too.

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
And I was obsessed with that show on Hulu.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Love story.

Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
That was such a good show. That was a really
good show. So, yes, congratulations to the winners. um, Andrew Garfield,
he is in a little bit of, I guess, under
some fire, you could say. So he sparked some online criticism.
He was promoting his new movie. And then in the movie,
that's like these peasants revolt against the rich people. And
while he was promoting it, they asked him, Hey, in

(01:08:09):
the uprising, when people watch it, what do you want
them to like come away with? Or what do you
want them to feel after they see it?

Speaker 5 (01:08:16):
I hope they come and see it, first thing. But secondly,
I hope it's galvanizing.

Speaker 8 (01:08:21):
I hope there's some.

Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
Awakening that people feel. That we all feel like our
own struggles are being reflected in the struggles of these
characters from a distant time and place.

Speaker 8 (01:08:28):
And I hope that if any billionaires watch it, they're scared.

Speaker 4 (01:08:33):
A lot of people were laughing and then people online
were like, you're like a multimillionaire too. Like, which is
a lot of money. Like you're one of the rich people.
And you're talking about the rich people being scared about
the peasants and the lower class coming and revolting. Is
that a little ironic? Maybe I'm not really sure, but
that's now the argument online. So now this modern day

(01:08:54):
celebrity wealth argument over it. uh it wasn't really bothering
Beyonce and Jay-Z who are billionaires Beyonce she celebrated her
45th birthday over the weekend Jay-Z was in concert stopped
down had the whole crowd sing happy birthday and shouted
her out happy birthday Re-released her B-Day album. And then

(01:09:15):
a whole bunch of like Bay merch. One in particular
is I'm baffled by. It was like the B-Box or
something like that. And it's literally a crate that has
velvet inside of it. But it's empty. It's almost $ 1, 000. What?
It's like $ 984 for this B.

Speaker 5 (01:09:34):
Great.

Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
It's supposed to hold your vinyl. And I get it. Rich,
you collect vinyl. And so maybe you do need a
very fancy vinyl. place to hold said vinyl you.

Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
Can find crates for free for almost a.

Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
Thousand dollars i would like beyonce to come put the
vinyl into the crate.

Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
Like her vinyl doesn't come with it her albums aren't
in it.

Speaker 8 (01:09:52):
It's like a box that's like inspired empty yeah by
like the beekeepers you know how they put those bees
and the thing.

Speaker 6 (01:09:58):
Looks just like that collector's edition and they would have.

Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
Like a color front like that like a color vinyl
in there whatever for a thousand bucks no it's empty
that's silly Who knows?

Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
We'll see.

Speaker 8 (01:10:09):
Okay, over the weekend, Alex Earle's, her reality show called
Earle Meets World, it premiered over the long weekend. And
she kind of got into the beef with Alex Cooper.

Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
I stayed quiet for so long because I am... scared
of Alex Cooper.

Speaker 8 (01:10:25):
Yeah, she basically goes on to say how she is
scared of Alex Cooper, how she felt Alex Cooper absolutely
took advantage of her, that she idolized her, that she
looked up to her and she got into a really
bad business decision. And so at first I was like,
this is definitely like a PR stunt, but I got,
I watched Earl Meets World and I'm like, That beef
might be for real.

Speaker 5 (01:10:44):
Like, seriously.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
Was it a good documentary? I couldn't get into it.

Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
Oh, it's a reality TV show. They're basically trying to
make the Earls the Kardashians is exactly what's happening.

Speaker 2 (01:10:52):
I couldn't do it.

Speaker 8 (01:10:53):
You see Alex Earle get very, I like her.

Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
I'm a fan of her. So I really, I really
did enjoy it.

Speaker 8 (01:10:59):
I do feel like you did see the parts of
Alex Earle that are similar to Kim Kardashian being very like.

Speaker 5 (01:11:06):
Very intentional with her moves.

Speaker 8 (01:11:08):
Like, she makes sure when she posts that she's thought
it through and she's thinking three steps ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:11:11):
Well, I mean, it's working for her.

Speaker 5 (01:11:13):
And it's working, right.

Speaker 3 (01:11:14):
So, I find it interesting.

Speaker 4 (01:11:15):
Yeah, I mean, it's definitely working for her. Maybe I'll
give it another try.

Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
Did you watch The Decoy Plane on Netflix?

Speaker 4 (01:11:20):
No.

Speaker 6 (01:11:21):
It's a 30-minute documentary of how they smuggled Trump out
of Air Force One.

Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
There's a documentary on that already? It's fascinating. Really?

Speaker 6 (01:11:27):
It's 28 minutes long. I highly recommend it. It is fascinating.

Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:11:31):
Good to know.

Speaker 3 (01:11:32):
It's number three on Netflix right now.

Speaker 5 (01:11:33):
This was just announced this morning. Ariana Grande.

Speaker 8 (01:11:36):
She is giving us the live pedal album from her concert.
We get to hear it. It's going to be beautiful.
I'm so excited to tune into it later today.

Speaker 4 (01:11:43):
It's kind of cool. If you didn't get to go,
you still get that live experience. Exactly.

Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
You can use your imagination. Feel like you're right there
in the crowd.

Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
Yeah, Everett was like, oh my gosh, did you see
she broke her hiatus. She said she was going and
living privately. But it's like because they released a new
trailer for the new Meet the Fockers movie.

Speaker 5 (01:11:59):
She's in it.

Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
I'm like, that's not really her breaking her hiatus, but okay.
Snoop Dogg, he has got probably the greatest job opening ever.
He wants to pay you for eating ice cream.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
I'm hiring an international ice cream taster here at Dr. Bonaparte.
Ten grand a month. You can apply anywhere in the world.
Must have a passport.

Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
Detail orientated. Detail orientated.

Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Oriented.

Speaker 4 (01:12:27):
I would love.

Speaker 8 (01:12:29):
That.

Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
All right, we're going to play a game. We've got
a contestant. It's Abby. Good morning, Abby.

Speaker 8 (01:12:39):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
We're playing Noise Machine. Nick's the host. Nick, let's play.

Speaker 14 (01:12:45):
Yeah, let's play, you guys. We started a big Disney
promotion this week. I just got back from Disneyland. I'm
in a Disney mood, so we're playing Disney characters. If
you can guess who the Disney character is, you are
going to get a point.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
All right?

Speaker 9 (01:12:58):
Easy enough?

Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 9 (01:12:59):
All right, let's start with John Jay.

Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
You could not live with your own failure. Where did
that bring you? Back to me.

Speaker 3 (01:13:08):
I think that's Thanos.

Speaker 14 (01:13:10):
We were looking for, of course. Thanos is correct. Good job,
John Jay. One point already on the board.

Speaker 8 (01:13:16):
Richard.

Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
That is Donald Duck.

Speaker 14 (01:13:24):
Donald Duck, as he appeared on Hot Ones. Good job.
One point for John Jay. One point for Rich.

Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
Peyton.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
No wonder the Avengers didn't take you. Or the X-Men.
They'll take f * * * ing anyone.

Speaker 5 (01:13:35):
Hmm, that's Deadpool.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Deadpool?

Speaker 9 (01:13:37):
It is from Deadpool and?

Speaker 4 (01:13:39):
Wolverine, that's Wolverine.

Speaker 9 (01:13:40):
Wolverine, we were looking for Wolverine. Okay, nice try, Peyton.

Speaker 14 (01:13:43):
Good job at least getting the same universe.

Speaker 2 (01:13:47):
Kyle! I hope that you appreciate what I go through
for you.

Speaker 3 (01:13:51):
Young lady.

Speaker 4 (01:13:54):
Oh, that's Sebastian.

Speaker 9 (01:13:55):
Yeah, we were looking for Sebastian. Way to go. All right,
so after, let's hear Abby's turn. Let's go. To infinity
and beyond!

Speaker 15 (01:14:09):
That's Buzz Lightyear.

Speaker 14 (01:14:10):
That's exactly what we were looking for. Okay, so thus far,
everybody on the board. But Peyton, however she can redeem
herself in round two, will kick things off with John Jay.

Speaker 6 (01:14:29):
That could be one of two things. It could be
me asleep with my CPAP or Darth Vader.

Speaker 9 (01:14:35):
We were looking for it.

Speaker 14 (01:14:36):
Weirdly, it was John Jay wearing CPAP. That is Darth Vader.

Speaker 3 (01:14:41):
Sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Good job.

Speaker 9 (01:14:43):
John Jay walking away with his game.

Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Two points already.

Speaker 8 (01:14:46):
Rich.

Speaker 7 (01:14:47):
Hey, buddy.

Speaker 5 (01:14:47):
Trim steel cars is bad.

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
Ah, that is Tom Holland is Spider-Man.

Speaker 9 (01:14:53):
Spider-Man is exactly what we're looking for.

Speaker 3 (01:14:55):
Way to go, Rich.

Speaker 5 (01:14:57):
Peyton.

Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
We are all connected in the creative circle of life.

Speaker 5 (01:15:02):
That's Mufasa.

Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:15:05):
James Earl Jones.

Speaker 9 (01:15:06):
Yeah, good job. Two James Earl Jones in this round. Kyle,
what do you think about that one?

Speaker 12 (01:15:10):
What?

Speaker 9 (01:15:11):
I don't know what to think about that. What do
you think about it, huh? Okay, well, it's your turn. Ka-chow.

Speaker 2 (01:15:17):
What?

Speaker 4 (01:15:19):
Lightning McQueen.

Speaker 9 (01:15:19):
Lightning McQueen is exactly what we're looking for. Good job.

Speaker 14 (01:15:23):
And we'll round out round two with Abby. If she
can get this, she's going to win this. some Chance
the Rapper tickets. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Miska!

Speaker 14 (01:15:31):
Muska!

Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Mickey Mouse!

Speaker 13 (01:15:37):
That is Mickey Mouse.

Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
Mickey Mouse.

Speaker 4 (01:15:39):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
Good job.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
She did it.

Speaker 7 (01:15:41):
Way to go.

Speaker 9 (01:15:42):
Chance the Rapper's coming.

Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
You're going to go see Chance the Rapper. Congratulations, Abby.
Thanks for listening.

Speaker 11 (01:15:47):
Thank you guys so much.

Speaker 10 (01:15:48):
Have a good rest of your day.

Speaker 3 (01:15:50):
You too.

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:15:53):
So football starts tomorrow, right? So there's all this fantasy stuff.
And I was very surprised, you guys. I think you
will too when I tell you. How popular do you
think fantasy football is?

Speaker 4 (01:16:04):
Pretty popular.

Speaker 14 (01:16:06):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
You think so? You would think so?

Speaker 4 (01:16:08):
I think so.

Speaker 6 (01:16:09):
I feel like so many people in my world are
in fantasy football leagues. And then iHeartMedia sends out an
email yesterday. And I click on the email. It says,
here are these emerging trends.

Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
9%.

Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
Of American adults play fantasy football.

Speaker 2 (01:16:24):
That's it?

Speaker 14 (01:16:25):
Nine.

Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
That's it?

Speaker 3 (01:16:26):
I thought if you told me 60%, I'd be like, oh,
that makes sense. Nine percent.

Speaker 4 (01:16:31):
That's not, that doesn't seem a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
It seems very, very low because I feel like it's everywhere.

Speaker 8 (01:16:37):
Well, what about in this room? In this room, who's
playing fantasy football this year? Me.

Speaker 9 (01:16:42):
I am in four leagues.

Speaker 4 (01:16:44):
Are you the commissioner for any of the leagues?

Speaker 9 (01:16:46):
No, no, ma'am.

Speaker 4 (01:16:48):
Somehow I didn't ask to do it, but somehow I'm
the commissioner of two leagues.

Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
So yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:16:55):
And we had our drafts over the weekend and I
was literally like, why? I didn't volunteer for this. Like what,
how did I get into this? And now I'm doing
two of them and it's like so stressful, but I'm like,
and then of course my algorithm starts showing me all
of the really fun and cool, like Pinterest things you
can do for draft parties, but which I'll have to
do next year. But you know, like at first when
I signed up to do it, I was like, yeah,

(01:17:16):
it's fine. It's whatever. And then we start doing the
draft and it's like, I'm realizing like how competitive I am.
And I'm realizing like, oh my gosh, I'm kind of
really into this annoyingly. Like, so, so one of the
leagues is for like my son and his friends, he
wanted to do a separate kids one. And I was like, cool,
I'll help you get it set up. And then the
other one is like, With our friends and their families.

(01:17:40):
And we actually happened to be with one of the
families that are in the league during the draft. And
their kid kept coming over and looking at our laptop
and seeing like the players we had queued up to
possibly draft next. And he would like go back and
tell his dad, they've got the Broncos defense in queue.

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
And then they picked it.

Speaker 16 (01:17:58):
And then he would walk over again and I was
like listen I love you but get out of here
honestly though I would do that same exact thing that
kid that's how you that's how you try to win
not this time but yeah I didn't want to be
competitive about it but it.

Speaker 2 (01:18:14):
Just took over what do you win if you win
none of our.

Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
Leagues have anything but it's just like you just want to.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
Win do you have a loser bet payoff no Oh,
my son, Jake, he lost last year. And you know
what the bed payoff was?

Speaker 6 (01:18:29):
He had all his friends that are in the group.
Let's say there's 10. They, he had to take his
shirt off and they shot him with paintball pellets.

Speaker 4 (01:18:37):
Like how far away did they have to see?

Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
Very close. Oh, that's covered in welts.

Speaker 6 (01:18:43):
And then, so he joined the league again this year.
And I said to my son Kemp, who now lives
at home because he graduated college. I was like, I
need you to oversee his fantasy so that he just
so he doesn't get pelted with whatever the bed payoff is.

Speaker 4 (01:18:57):
OK, so he was he was just in last last place.

Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
He lost because everyone loses.

Speaker 4 (01:19:02):
I don't know how it works.

Speaker 2 (01:19:03):
I'm not one of them.

Speaker 14 (01:19:03):
OK.

Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
It's like, wait a minute.

Speaker 4 (01:19:06):
Did he just have the least amount of points?

Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
I know for years we've taken calls.

Speaker 6 (01:19:08):
People had horrible bed payoffs when they, so whenever you lose,
so his team lost and it was like terrible or
he lost his team.

Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
It was a terrible, you know?

Speaker 6 (01:19:16):
So anyway, so fantasy football players are nearly twice as
likely to be 18 to 24 year olds. They're also
more affluent with fantasy football players being 15% more likely
than the general population to earn over $ 200, 000 annually.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
Dang. That's nice.

Speaker 6 (01:19:29):
Also, Of those that are in a fantasy football league,
those who do play are in three or more leagues.

Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
So you're in two.

Speaker 4 (01:19:43):
Well, Nick just said he's in four.

Speaker 2 (01:19:44):
That's wild.

Speaker 4 (01:19:45):
That's crazy. It's a lot to keep track of.

Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
It is.

Speaker 3 (01:19:49):
What's coming up?

Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
Count three things you need to know.

Speaker 4 (01:19:51):
Amazon wants Alexa to tell you if you're being scammed.
I'm going to tell you how next with John Jay
and Rick.

Speaker 6 (01:20:08):
Hey, coming up, I'm going to tell you after we
do three things, the greatest movie and TV villains of
all time.

Speaker 3 (01:20:14):
Kyle, what are some things we need to know today?

Speaker 4 (01:20:17):
So it's a really wild weekend for air travel in Miami.
An Amazon cargo plane overshot the runway, crashed into vehicles
on the ground, caught fire, killed five people who were
actually in a cleaning crew van that got struck. They
have no idea why this happened, but of course they
are investigating and just. A totally terrifying event. And then
on an American Airlines flight, there was a passenger who

(01:20:39):
got so out of control, two others had to jump
in and literally use zip ties and duct tape to
restrain him. The guy got so belligerent, even like bit
one of the guys trying to restrain him. It turns
out he's from Arizona. He's from Tucson. He's been fired
from his job.

Speaker 3 (01:20:54):
You know what?

Speaker 6 (01:20:55):
I take offense to that because I want to be like,
I don't think he's from Tucson. I just think he
currently lives there.

Speaker 4 (01:21:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:21:04):
And also, just the video, the pictures of this dude
being duct taped. Was that from a passenger who had
duct taped?

Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
And zip ties, too, I guess.

Speaker 8 (01:21:13):
And then did you see they covered the window so
he couldn't look outside either for his life?

Speaker 9 (01:21:17):
God, what a jerk.

Speaker 2 (01:21:18):
And he was in first class. Did you know that?
They were all in first class.

Speaker 8 (01:21:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:21:21):
What a jerk.

Speaker 6 (01:21:21):
By the way, did you also see And I saw
this this morning. I don't know if you're going to,
are you done with airport stuff?

Speaker 12 (01:21:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:21:27):
Did you see that you can now, they're going to
have it set up now so that you can go.
Remember back in the day before nine 11, you could
go to the gate and say goodbye.

Speaker 3 (01:21:33):
They're setting it up again. So you can go do
that again.

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
Oh, that'd be nice. So you can like take.

Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
Your family and say goodbye to your girlfriend and walk
to the gate as they go.

Speaker 4 (01:21:40):
I like it.

Speaker 5 (01:21:40):
I wonder how they're going to do that.

Speaker 4 (01:21:42):
I have to like buy a ticket or something like that.
While you look for that, I'll let you know. After
almost six weeks of trial and seven days of deliberations,
the Lindsay Clancy case ended Friday with no verdict at all.
The jury was deadlocked 11 to 1. Her attorney actually
made a last minute attempt, went to the Massachusetts Supreme
Court and was just concerned because that holdout juror had

(01:22:03):
expressed doubt but wouldn't go with the other 11. And
so the judge had no other choice but to declare
a mistrial. So our next date to look out for
is September 29th. So this is a status hearing. It's
not the new trial or anything like that. But this
is when they're going to start figuring out what happens next,
including whether prosecutors are going to put her through an

(01:22:24):
entirely new trial. So at that point, maybe they will
schedule when the new trial is if they decide to
move forward with that. Amazon is giving Alexa a new
job I could see all of us using. So they
want Alexa to figure out if that sketchy text or
email you got is really from Amazon. They don't want
you to get hacked. They don't want you to get scammed.
You can ask Alexa about it. Their AI is going

(01:22:45):
to check into things like who actually sent it, what
the message says. And they'll let you know whether or
not it's legit. They're also going to roll out pretty soon,
not yet, that Alexa will proactively tell you when something
you're waiting for drops. So, John Jay, earlier you talked
about those shoes that you wanted from the tennis player,
the Travis Scott collab. So Amazon Alexa would then be
able to be like, John Jay, in five minutes, the

(01:23:06):
new Travis Scott shoe drops, just like an FYI. I
don't know if you guys saw ASU. They had their
first football game over the weekend. Oh, my gosh. It
was an absolute blowout. Crushed Morgan State 70-7. It was
so bad. Both coaches were like, hey, you want to
end this thing early? Yeah, okay, we're going to end
this thing early. So congratulations to our Sun Devils.

Speaker 2 (01:23:28):
They made the fourth quarter 10 minutes instead of 15.
You're like, okay, we're good.

Speaker 8 (01:23:31):
I kept seeing the video going around of Sparky because
every time ASU gets a touchdown, you.

Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
Have to do a push-up.

Speaker 5 (01:23:37):
And so he had to do like push-ups. 300 and
something push-ups.

Speaker 6 (01:23:42):
The coach, I saw the video, the coach, he was like,
I didn't know you could do that. That you could
shorten up the quarter.

Speaker 4 (01:23:50):
Yeah, so congratulations Devils. I think their game this weekend
is probably going to be a little bit more difficult.
The D-backs still hanging on to our final wild card spot. Um, they,
they won. And of course, now we're just still a
half a game, just a half a game over San
Diego for that wild card playoff spot. I know it's
like literally, so every game matters. I don't know if

(01:24:10):
you guys saw Perdomo got hit like 93 mile per
hour line drive in his head, but he's doing okay.
He's already back in the starting lineup today. So D
backs are on their way and hopefully, you know, let's
just get like a couple of games ahead of San Diego.

Speaker 5 (01:24:23):
So it doesn't have to be.

Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
Yeah. Half a game makes everybody nervous.

Speaker 4 (01:24:25):
I know. And that's what you need to know.

Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
All right.

Speaker 6 (01:24:28):
So here's the information on the, uh, going to the gate.
TSA has launched Gateside by TSA PreCheck. It's a pilot
program allowing approved non-ticket visitors to pass through security at
13 airports. So it's in Columbus International Airport, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Indianapolis,
Harry Reid in Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Salt

(01:24:49):
Lake City. So non-ticketed visitors who are approved for the
program still go through screening. They got to apply through TSA,
receive a Gateside pass one to three days before arriving
at the airport. You must also have a TSA pre-check
or known traveler number. Then you go through pre-check screening
with your ID.

Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
That's a relationship test. First, you got the, will you
take me to the airport? And now it's going to
be like, do you care enough to be prepared to
take me to the gate? How much do you love me?

Speaker 6 (01:25:14):
TSA says the program is designed to make airport visits
easier for families, especially those with children flying or elderly passengers.

Speaker 4 (01:25:22):
That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
Makes sense.

Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
Yeah, I think this last summer was my nephew. It
was his first time flying alone. And my sister was
a wreck because she's like, I can't even walk into
the gate.

Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:25:32):
I wish I could get to the right gate.

Speaker 6 (01:25:33):
All right, so I was telling you, the greatest movie
and TV villains of all time. And I bring this
up because I saw two different clips of movie villains,
TV villains, and I got sick to my stomach because
they were so scary.

Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
I can think of one TV villain that should be
at the top of the list for me. King Joffrey.

Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
That's who I saw. I saw the scene where he
died in Game of Thrones, and he's so evil. Oh,
he's the worst from Game of Thrones. The kid that
played him got out of acting because people hated him
so much.

Speaker 2 (01:25:59):
It's true. That's bad.

Speaker 8 (01:25:59):
He did that good of a job.

Speaker 3 (01:26:01):
I think he should be the worst. To me, he
should be number one.

Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
He's so unlikable.

Speaker 5 (01:26:05):
Okay, so the Game of Thrones guy.

Speaker 2 (01:26:07):
Like, I mean, there was not one scene where you
don't want to just go through the screen and punch him.

Speaker 3 (01:26:11):
On TV shows, he's number two.

Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
Okay. On TV shows.

Speaker 4 (01:26:13):
Oh, who's worse than him?

Speaker 6 (01:26:15):
I don't know this show. Believe it or not, I've
never seen an episode of this show, but it's Mr.
Burns from The Simpsons.

Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
Oh, Mr.

Speaker 5 (01:26:19):
Burns.

Speaker 4 (01:26:20):
I literally just last night was showing my kids Nelson.
Never seen The Simpsons. That's all I'm hearing now from
my house.

Speaker 6 (01:26:28):
So the top from TV shows is Ben Linus from Lost,
Bob from Twin Peaks, the Trinity Killer from Dexter, Livia Soprano,
King Joffrey, and Mr.

Speaker 8 (01:26:38):
Burns.

Speaker 6 (01:26:38):
Those are the number one for TV shows. For movies,
number 10 is Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians. Anne
Wilkes from Misery. John Doe in Seven, the movie Seven.
You guys ever seen Seven?

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Yeah. Never forget that one. Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman. That's
one of the darkest things I've ever seen in my
whole life.

Speaker 4 (01:26:56):
It's a good movie. You would like it.

Speaker 3 (01:26:57):
Would I?

Speaker 8 (01:26:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
Magneto from X-Men. Dr.

Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
Evil from Austin Powers. Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. Scar
from The Lion King is number four. Voldemort from Harry
Potter is number three. The Joker from Batman is number two.
And the number one.

Speaker 2 (01:27:15):
Villain. From the movies is... Darth Vader. No, that's the
only villain song you'll find. Darth Vader. Not Darth Vader.

Speaker 3 (01:27:20):
Science of the Lambs.

Speaker 9 (01:27:21):
Hannibal Lecter.

Speaker 3 (01:27:22):
Hannibal Lecter from Science of the Lambs. Hannibal Lecter.

Speaker 2 (01:27:24):
Okay, yeah, Hannibal Lecter ate people, but Darth Vader blew
up a whole planet. Just blew it up.
