Speaker 1 (00:00):
Broadcasting live across the world right now.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
This is the John Jay and Rich Radio program. Text
us text JJR whatever is on your mind to nine six,
eight nine three, or call us at eight seven seven
ninety three seven one oh four seven. Peyton was telling
a story the other day, and I said, Peyton, we
got to do that on the radio. I want to hear.
And I don't think any of us know the meat
of the story, but we will have somebody on the
(00:27):
phone to help explain it. So, Peyton, the story is what.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
So I am back living in my grandma's house and
the other day she was playing her really loud music.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Wait, we should bring her up. We got your grandma
on the phone. We got Ma Maye, Hey, may may
Hi Hi. Okay. So so Peyton's about that tells the story.
So she was playing her loud music.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah, I was saying, how you like to play your
music in the morning, and how the other day you
and I went hit for hit in the kitchen and
I was telling everyone how I think, Meme, that you're
a little bit of like a top forty hater. You
think that my generation's of music is trash, and I
want to kind of.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Feel feel actually said, very true, and I.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Honestly feel the same exact way about her generation's music.
I also think it's pretty trash, and so we decided
we were gonna.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Go hit for hit.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
So you're playing tracks.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
She played a song about this one, and then I
played a song.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
It's the gold Ender. Them be like, okay, that is
a good one.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
That was my goal, and I feel like the same
for her because it was like, I think you'll like
this one.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Okay, that's kind of.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Maybe what music was Peyton playing that you just don't like?
Speaker 6 (01:30):
Well, she plays what you play. The top forty were
all the girls singers, because it was specifically about the
female singers. They all sound the same. It's kind of
like Lord did the original thing and then everybody copies
what she did, only they changed it up a little bit.
The lyrics are stupid. They're a repetitivemen and boring, and
(01:54):
it's got no gap. And the girls might have good voices,
but they're like not they don't reach into your soul
and and pull on your heart.
Speaker 7 (02:03):
Well, you know, I could definitely tell you and Peyton
are related by your hot takes.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Many what's a song that pulls at your heart strings?
That does that pulls at your soul?
Speaker 6 (02:15):
Well, we agree on Loving You by Many Reppertend. So
we agreed on that.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Well, Kanye sings about this song.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
I love this song. I have Goosebums, you remember, and
I know, Oh.
Speaker 7 (02:33):
I know the song. I'm not a fan at all.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
You don't like many Ripertis.
Speaker 7 (02:37):
I don't like many Ripertis.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
I don't. I don't remember when this song came out,
but I could tell you this. You know who her
daughter is, Yeah, it's my root.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Let me tell you guys this. This is that Many Ripperton.
Loving You is actually a song. I'm gonna walk down.
Speaker 7 (02:48):
The aisle to Oh really, you actually like the song?
Speaker 4 (02:51):
When I listen to that song in the car by myself,
I cry.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Can you Can I give you a suggestion instead? Could
you just do Kanye slow jams? What's a many?
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:02):
So we agreed.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
We agreed on Minie Riperton, and so I was like, actually,
mem I think you would really like this song that
just came out. It's this new upcoming artist. Her name's
Olivia Dean and she sings a song called man I Need.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Okay? What made me say to that? Did you like
that song? Are you a meme. What did you say?
Speaker 6 (03:35):
I loved her. She has a character and gut some
grit in her voice. You know, it's smooth, she's got
a nice step, she's got a good range, but she
sings like she's singing from her diaphragm and it's beautiful.
Speaker 8 (03:51):
Yeah, liked her.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
I only heard the one song, so I hope I'm
not going to be disappointed, but I am going to
actually listen to her and see what it is.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah, memy knows her music.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
She styled in Yeah, I mean, and I think that's
why me and my brother genuinely enjoy going to concerts
and shows so much. My grandma took me to go
see Metallica when I was seven. We were in the pit.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
What's another song that you listen to that may may
presented to you?
Speaker 9 (04:14):
So?
Speaker 3 (04:14):
The other one is by Maria Muldar Midnight at the Oasis, so.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
And you can be.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
She and she played this one for me because she
knew I liked many Ripperton and they kind of have
the same inflection a little bit on their voices.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
And I did enjoy this song. Did I add it
to my playlist?
Speaker 10 (04:39):
Midnight?
Speaker 7 (04:39):
That's the one? Another song from s.
Speaker 6 (04:43):
Creek you never heard of it? Yeah, I'm sure Rich
didn't like this one either.
Speaker 7 (04:49):
No, I don't don't like that song either, honestly, I'm
chock rich.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
And I bet you didn't like brand Newski by Melanie.
Speaker 7 (04:55):
Oh my god, no, those are all three fingernails on
a chalkboard for me.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
So then I played her raven Linnet love Me Not.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Everywhere I'm thinking, and let's just single. Oh, I don't mean.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
I'll miss you here?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
And did you like that song?
Speaker 8 (05:23):
It's stunk?
Speaker 6 (05:26):
So was the last one, And I mean like the
last one got my body swam. This one had me
reaching for the volume to turn it.
Speaker 10 (05:35):
Way out horrible.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Okay, she like that one, I.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
Said, let me hear a couple more. So we went
through several of her songs, probably five or six yep,
and I'm like it turn it off.
Speaker 10 (05:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
My brother Jayalen and his boyfriend Alex had come over
and they had said that Dojah Cat's in her sixties era,
and so I was like, okay, let me play you
the Doja Cat the album and those are the ones
that she was like.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
But then I played and I played Amen, I am.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Patient updating and I'm.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
I have too much time.
Speaker 10 (06:08):
In front.
Speaker 7 (06:10):
Yeah, comes since and I will grab my riding and
have too much.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Okay she like that?
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Well she presented Eassidy songbird.
Speaker 7 (06:19):
Okay, now you got me, come on, brilliant snooze ft
God rest her soul.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
No, so, memy has got some taste of like musical
singing like and and words that means something.
Speaker 6 (06:43):
Also, you like the sound of it love like I
love Anthrax and Metallica and and I like pretty much
every genre except rap and pop, which is all the
stuff that I list.
Speaker 11 (06:56):
Yeah, meme.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Though you did say though that you were down to
go to drink with us, so like you would go
see Drake and he's a rapper.
Speaker 6 (07:03):
Yeah, but that's because I've heard a lot of good
things about him, though I haven't heard them.
Speaker 8 (07:07):
With my own ears.
Speaker 6 (07:08):
Very interested.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I know a song I think you played first? She
would love what Cobra Starship. Well, maybe thanks for jumping
on there with us. I think you're very very interesting
and very smart.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Well, thank you, thank you very much. I am very
smart and thank god it passed down to my grandkids.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Love you me? Oh wait hey maybe maybe real quick
you there? What's your favorite concert you've ever been?
Speaker 6 (07:38):
To Todd run Gren and probably a papella like who
That was probably the greatest concert I ever went to.
Speaker 12 (07:51):
You.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
We went to see letter towing too row.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
Do you have that mem that Tod did with just
his mouth. He didn't use any instruments.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
Ever, single word and every note and every beat like
a single chee from start to finish.
Speaker 7 (08:04):
That's actually real good album.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Times you said you can sing? Can you give us
little piece of that album? Your favorite song from that album?
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (08:11):
Probably it's It's today. I am your chariot has tomorrow
on your.
Speaker 13 (08:17):
Alb rus.
Speaker 10 (08:23):
No one, come.
Speaker 14 (08:25):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
What a beautiful woman. Thank you, thanks for jumping on
there with us. May have a great day.
Speaker 7 (08:32):
I want to come over and use your toilet.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Thanks and her nice steam shower, all of it a
very what a I wish I had. I need Shash
to tell you how warm I feel about her.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
She is really the best.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Do you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 5 (08:45):
She's like quintessential.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yeah, she really, And then she set us all up
for success, like none of us have student loans at
all because of my grandma.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
She looks at your grandma.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
You want to see her.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
She have gray hair and hive.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
Well, her hair is actually short right now. Her hair
short because it's growing back from the cancer that she
just kicked.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
That ass wore glasses. She does wear glasses that has
a pearl thing that holds the glasses up on her nose.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Do you know what she does have purple streaks in
her hair?
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Did she wear the patio her knees. That don't look
like I know grandma from here, does not look like
does not look like your grandma at all.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
That's my grandma.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
She looks good.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
That's your grandma. Yeah, most I'm.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Trying to find another pictures though, toilet you this is
more recent. That one's more recent. Like two different people,
My mom and that's my grandma.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
This is I don't I mean they both look young,
your mom and your grandma. Wait, but the grandma picture
there looks like her grandma. The first grandma picture was
that her in her thirties?
Speaker 4 (09:40):
No, this was her profile picture from two years ago.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
Profile she had no cancer.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Okay, yeah, well, I mean there she looks like she's thirty.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
This was thirty. This was three years ago. Wow, this
picture twenty two?
Speaker 2 (09:55):
All right, well, thank you. Let's post a picture of
Peyton's Grandma. It'll be up at John Jay Rich on Instagram. Okay,
don't tell anybody. John Jay and Rich gave me their
personal cell phone number.
Speaker 10 (10:05):
Where is my freaking phone?
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Eight seven seven nine three seven one oh four seven.
It's John Jay and Ridge. You want to know about
the time you confidently walked into the wrong situation. Want,
wrong room, wrong party, wrong conversation, and you didn't realize
it right away. And I'll tell you. There's something I'm
going through right now that I will explain. We want
to know about you, though, Raquel, good morning. Tell us
what was the wrong situation? You felt good about it,
(10:29):
but it was wrong? What happened?
Speaker 15 (10:31):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 16 (10:32):
I was so confident that I saw my new sorority sister.
Speaker 17 (10:36):
I was in the grocery store and I saw this
girl and I flagged her over. I'm like waving her
and uh, talking to her. I thought she was my
sorority sister Sarah. And a few minutes into it, she's
being really polite, but she's like, actually, my name is Emily.
(10:56):
And I didn't know her at all.
Speaker 11 (10:59):
Oh my god.
Speaker 17 (11:02):
Yeah, she was like a newer sorority. I thought she
was a newer sorority sister, and it wasn't her at all.
Speaker 16 (11:09):
I think I.
Speaker 17 (11:09):
Legitimately have facial bloydness.
Speaker 18 (11:14):
It's really scary.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
I'm gonna do that. When I was a kid to
my mom, We're staying like the zoo, and I went
up to my mom and put my hand around her
really hard to grab her like this, and it was
like eight, I look up and it's not my mom. Wow. Terrible, terrible.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
I like, have you guys ever like accidentally called your
teacher mom when you were a.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Kid, my teachers. I never said a word to any
of my teachers the history of my life. Thanks for calling.
Thanks for sharing that with us.
Speaker 7 (11:45):
All right, thanks Peter.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Tell us about the time you felt pretty confident about it,
but it was the wrong thing wrong. What happened?
Speaker 14 (11:53):
Okay, So back in college, I went into my entier
at ap class. I was pretty confident, so on the front,
lean back, and the teacher walks in and just start
speaking in fluent Spanish and started asking me questions because
I'm right up front, and I was really confused. Turns
(12:13):
out I walked into the wrong classroom.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
That's funny, Thanks Peter. That's really funny. Peter, have a
great day, dog. Thank you you two eight seven, seven
nine three seven one oh four seven. Also, this is
what they say. They say this will be a dynamic,
accessible conversation, not clinical, focus on how to high performers
train their minds to navigate pressure, sustain excellence, and thrive
(12:37):
beyond sport. The audience, who includes fans, professionals, community leaders.
The goals to keep the discussion engaging, practically relatable, will
keep the tone conversational and authentic. There's no need to
prepare formal remarks. Just come ready, Thank you again for
being part of this. I'm excited for the impact this
series can have. It just sounds so yeah, it sounds
so serious.
Speaker 19 (12:56):
No, but that takes like a little bit of the
pressure off. They're just saying be or so, which that's
an easy.
Speaker 7 (13:01):
Thing for you, Baddy. That's that's that's that's scary.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Eight seven seven ninety three seven one o four seven.
You're confident, but you walked in the wrong situation. More
of your calls. Next, it's John Jay and.
Speaker 9 (13:11):
Rich in the eternal battle of morning show supremacy.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
We are one of them. It's John Jay and Rich.
Want to know about when you confidently walked into the
wrong situation like me tonight, Stephanie. Good morning, Hi, good morning, Hi.
What happened to you?
Speaker 20 (13:29):
Oh?
Speaker 18 (13:29):
My goodness.
Speaker 21 (13:30):
Okay, so very embarrassing. Back in twenty fifteen, my friend
Joey had just boomed into a house with someone that
we had known from high school and I had been
to this house. I helped him move in a little bit.
Everything was good, and I remember he had mentioned that
there was going to be another girl moving in and
(13:52):
she had a boyfriend, and you know, that was kind
of it. And a few days later we had decided
we were going to hang out. So I I drove
over there to what I thought was his house and
it was nighttime and I knocked on the door and
this man answered. Had not seen him before, but he
was around my age, so I automatically assumed, oh, this
(14:14):
must be his roommate's boyfriend. So I confidently said, Hi,
I'm stuff and I'm coming in, and I walked right
past him. He let me in, and I'm kind of
looking around and calling out for my friend. I'm like, Joey,
you know, Joey, where are you? And you know, since
I had, you know, been to his house before, I
(14:35):
walked to where his bedroom would have been. And I
opened the door and hitched black room, didn't see anything
in there. And I turned to this guy and I'm like,
you know, where's Joey And he was like, there, there's
no Joey here.
Speaker 6 (14:49):
Oh my god.
Speaker 21 (14:50):
And then I start looking around and then I hit
me like, oh my god, this is not this is
not the house.
Speaker 5 (15:01):
Thank god. You weren't in like a serial killer.
Speaker 21 (15:03):
So they were like, excellent, that could have gone south. Yeah,
So I started apologizing. I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm
so sorry, Like I thought this was my friend's house.
And I ended up, you know, leaving obviously, and I
see my friend Tudors down and he's just laughing. It
was so embarrassing.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
That's the way that guy was. Like, Julie died five
years ago, would have been quick. That's awesome. Thanks for
sharing with us. Thank you, Yes, thank you, Jesse. Wrong situation,
but you had all the confidence in the world. What happened.
Speaker 15 (15:38):
Okay, So this is back in like twenty fifteen, and boys,
that's how I started listening to you guys too, when
you were on there. But I volunteered for Habitat for
Humanity and I was on the Family Selection Committee, and
the way it works is you can apply for a
home for through Habitat and then they make sure you
(15:58):
financially qualify, and then our team would go out and
interview the family and we had a little piece of
paper we would ask all these questions, kind of get
an idea of the family structure, why they applied, etc.
Speaker 16 (16:13):
Right.
Speaker 15 (16:14):
So it was one of the funnest things I've ever
done because I got to interact with all these different
families from all over the world, and mainly because Boise
is a refugee center where people are come and so
that was a lot of our families, if that makes sense, right. Okay,
(16:36):
So we go to this family's house and we're sitting
there for about twenty minutes asking them questions. We come in,
we sit down, we introduce ourselves. They give us tea
and cookies, and the twelve year old daughter is translating
for us because I think they were from Somalia, right,
(16:58):
And then I'm kind of like getting these weird like
looks from the mom and dad and and they're a
little bit confused, and twenty minutes in, I go, did
you guys apply to Habitat for Humanity for a house,
and they were like no cool on the inside, they
(17:22):
were so nice, and I had been in this situation
so many times.
Speaker 8 (17:25):
We would go.
Speaker 15 (17:26):
They would give us tea and cookies and we would
sit and I often had a child translating or somebody
else translating, and so I'm like, okay, and then I'm
trying to explain who we are and like why we're there.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Wait, and you just went you went to the wrong house.
Speaker 22 (17:43):
Yes, it was.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
This kind family let you in their house and you're
explaining to them the rules of living in their house.
Speaker 15 (17:53):
Yeah, we're interviewing them about how they want this habitat
for humanity house and what it was because it was
a big apartment complex. I remember the address was like
four sixty two or something, and come to find out
there was on the other side of the street was
the same number. So we just went to the wrong one.
(18:16):
So you guys, listen. The worst part is we leave
and then I'm at the other place for an hour,
and then I realized I don't have my keys, and
I'm like, oh my gosh, I love my keys. I
left my keys at the other place. And I'm like okay,
So I go back and they're still there and I
knock on the door and they're like, yep, here's your keys.
(18:39):
And I was like, I'm so sorry, and they also
immediately left after giving me my keys, and I just
died inside. I was like, these poor families has been
waiting for me to come back to give me my keys.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Jes, Yeah, well that is definitely a lot a lot
of confidence, wrong situation. Thank you, Jesse, thanks for sharing.
Speaker 14 (19:01):
It with us.
Speaker 15 (19:02):
You're welcome, everybody, Bye bye, You're welcome.
Speaker 23 (19:06):
Bike.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
It's the John Jay and Rich radio program.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Two names, four hosts, and a whole lot of fun eats,
John Jay and.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Rich before we play this game, I just got a
DM that is so damn funny. Okay, John Jay. Do
you know the Hannah Montanna song rock Star Peyton View?
Speaker 10 (19:27):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (19:27):
I think that might be my favorite Hanna Montana tai
Chie practicing snowboard Champion, I can fix a.
Speaker 11 (19:32):
Flat on your car.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
I might even be a rock stadt.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
She said a screenshot of those words to me, tai
Chi practicing snowboard Champion, I could fix a flat on
your car, and she goes, I'm calling it now. Rich's
new hobby will be snowboarding. His life is a Hannah
Montanna song.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
What's So Funny?
Speaker 3 (19:50):
As I remember having that song on my Handah Montana's
CD and my on my little radio in my room
when I was like in the fourth grade, and I
remembering like, what's tai Chie?
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Well, now I know Rich is giving us all stuff
to fix our flat tire. Yeah, you're now every day
snowboarding is next.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
I actually I am scared for that. I feel like
you might blow an easy.
Speaker 23 (20:08):
Well.
Speaker 7 (20:08):
No, I have been snowboarding and I am no good
at it and that was a very painful trip down
the mountain.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
I love that song.
Speaker 7 (20:16):
Thank you, John Jay, Good morning, Sarah, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
You're gonna play a game for Breakaway Music Festival, right
and Nick is the most Yes, I am the host,
but you guys are the ones that are performing. Marshmallow
will be at Breakaway Music Festival. How how much better
could it be if we just do a little chubby
bunny today? You guys, we're calling it Marshmallow for Marshmalloway,
(20:41):
I don't think anybody noticed. I came in here and
I put cups beside each and every one of you.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
Oh yeah, it's true.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
I have picked songs for you guys.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
Cups full of marshmallows.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Weird.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
We're gonna start with John Jay. John Jay, I'm gonna
hand you this card. You're gonna stuff your face with
those marshmallows, and then Rich has to guess what song
you're singing. Okay, We're going to go around the room,
and then finally, when it's Kyle's turned.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Sarah will be guessing. How many cars? Does it matter?
Speaker 1 (21:09):
I mean, I just want to be able to hear.
We want to be able to hear you, but it
needs to be muffled. Okay, a marshmallows. There's specifics. They're specific, Yeah,
because they're they're like squears. Okay, okay, you're ready. Okay,
here's your song.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
I'm gonna put this in.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Shove the marshmallows to my song, okay, and Rich has
and Rich has to guess what what song it is.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
That's one marshmallow, one.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
Actually quite large.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
You're breaking John Jay's true marshmall. I'm not gonna eat him.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
I have the trash can here, or he could spit

Speaker 2 (24:13):

Speaker 14 (24:33):

(24:59):

Speaker 11 (25:00):

Speaker 4 (25:29):

Speaker 2 (25:34):

Speaker 7 (25:38):
I think try one more time, please, Sarah knew she
just wanted three times.
Speaker 8 (25:56):

h two eight eight eight nineteen thirty three. You could
(26:23):
leave us voicemail. You can also download the free iHeartRadio
up and tap on the microphone and leave us what's
called a talkback Okay, here's a couple.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
Hey, John dan Rich, it's my daughter's twenty first birthday,
and we're leaving a voicemail.
Speaker 7 (26:38):
So we are just seemed cute calling him, just saying
hi and that we love you so much.
Speaker 25 (26:43):
Husband kisses five.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
Man. Happy birthday, Hey, Michelle and Raleigh.
Speaker 26 (26:52):
Spiders Okay, Husband calls me downstairs. We have a two
story house, the bottom parts of He tells me, look
up at the bottom of the stairs. I look up,
and y'all, the spider could have covered my face.
Speaker 11 (27:07):
It was huge.
Speaker 15 (27:09):
At all I could do was stand there and go.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
Bye, y'all have a good day.
Speaker 7 (27:16):
No closure on that. We need closure.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Probably passed out.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Yeah, man, scary spiders are really scary. You know. There
was that we were and my wife and I were
in the hot tub and the bee was flying by
her and she and I go, hey, there's a bee
by you. And she's like, I'll break down. And then
she threw water on it and it landed on the thing.
I go, oh, we gotta you, gotta let it go.
I've heard how important bees are, right, And then she
goes shoot and she pushes it into the pool and
(27:41):
she goes, well, now, it's got to learn how to swim,
she says. I'm like, and I'm like, we gotta save
that bee. So I freaking jump in the pool with
a leaf. Yeah, be on a leaf, and I'm like,
treaddy water, take it to the edge. And I also
got to make sure it doesn't bite me. So I'm like, oh,
oh lo or sting me. So I'm gonna swim over
and I put it down and then and it like,
I wait, blow on it, and then it takes off
(28:03):
and it flew off.
Speaker 7 (28:04):
Felt that bee doesn't feel like a blast furnace on
the hope the b knows I saved this life.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
I know how important it is.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
Well, I know it's see in our house.
Speaker 19 (28:11):
Whenever you save a bee in the pool, now you
have good be karma. So the next time you're around bees,
they won't sting you.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Oh that's nice.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
I always heard that, like if a bee dies or
you kill a bee, that it like lets out in
aroma and then it tells like it's be brothers and
sisters to come and mess you up.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yeah, there's there's a thing about bees, how extremely important
they are more than ever. In fact, my friend Greg
is uh baby mama is a very very well known
professor at ASU that studies at Oh really there's something
like big time how.
Speaker 10 (28:42):
True this is?
Speaker 5 (28:43):
But I saw something on Instagram, so, like I said,
I don't know how true it is.
Speaker 19 (28:46):
But in Australia they're actually studying b venom as a
form of like cancer treatment for breast cancer.
Speaker 7 (28:54):
Well that makes sense because they've studied scorpion venom for that.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Save the bees, Save the bees.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
I wonder what if for fun guys, I called Greg?
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Yeah, I talked to him about his baby mama.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
Gregor, here's hot I'll take for you. I think bees
are precious wasps though the a holes up, the they're
kind of they're kind of rude.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah, all this trivia is unlie nine you think it'll work,
because it won't work.
Speaker 8 (29:32):
Hello, this is Greg Batterson.
Speaker 14 (29:34):
All right, mister call please give a message to tell him.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
I'm calling you on my phone. Who died? I'm trying
to call you on the air. Can you pick up?
I'm trying to call you on my in the studio.
Speaker 13 (29:51):
Somebody he died, But like what if somebody actually dies?
That would i'd tex?
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Does he have that block where you can't have like
a non numbers call you?
Speaker 10 (30:16):
How do you not call him?
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Nice? Nice? Hey? I was just talking about how long
story short, But I saved a bee that was in
our pool because I heard bees are really important and
that I remember. I remember that I believe in and
for lack of a better phrase, your baby mama is
a big week. Is a big week in the bee world?
Am I right?
Speaker 7 (30:37):
A bee?
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Can you explain what she does?
Speaker 10 (30:40):
So?
Speaker 8 (30:40):
She is a brilliant mathematician and a scientist. She has
a PhD in applied mathematics, and she's using all that
knowledge to try and stop b colony collapse, which means
that the large colonies of bees where critical to everything
we eat wor old sixty of the food we eat
(31:03):
requires polonization, and these big bee colonies are collapsing and
they're trying to find out why and how to keep
the bees from bleeding the earth.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
See. So please tell your baby mama you're welcome.
Speaker 7 (31:17):
What about that truck a few weeks ago that like
had a million bees in the South that turned over
and all the bees just got released. Did you hear
about that?
Speaker 8 (31:26):
I didn't. That sounds good though, That's good.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
So please tell your baby mama You're welcome, Jon Javans
to be here. You're welcome.
Speaker 8 (31:37):
So this is this is the point of interest for
you guys, the colonies and how these are helpful.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
I just was telling this story about how I saved
the bee, and then I was as I was telling,
I remember that you were somehow be related.
Speaker 8 (31:49):
I thought you were going to tell a different bee story,
but I'm not sure it's appropriate for the you know,
radio audience. Remember when as was in the pool and
you were screaming about a beee the French, the French
exchange student. No, she was definitely afraid of bees and allergic.
I don't to be kind of like, you know, she
(32:09):
had her top off on the back but still covered.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
I don't remember that. I don't. I don't remember that.
I don't remember one. But that's a great.
Speaker 8 (32:19):
This is complete. Yes, you do remember that was a
great day.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
So what happened? I said, there's a bee?
Speaker 8 (32:26):
And then she stood up and and she like freaked
out and jumped up, and then we were just both giggling.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Is this tenth grade or younger? Older?
Speaker 14 (32:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (32:36):
I was.
Speaker 8 (32:36):
I think it was like seventh or eighth grade.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
That's good stuff. Where's Oje?
Speaker 14 (32:41):
Now I have no idea we should reach out, is
she oni.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Jolie, that would be great. No, I swear on my life,
I don't remember An. I don't remember that. I swear. Wow,
I know, brother, I'll talk to you later. I remember
so many name Ounch. I don't remember An. I remember
what she talking about. He does have a lot. He
has this like history where he brings up like I
think he was with other people.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
Got a good memory.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Then maybe I think you're.
Speaker 7 (33:05):
Starting to forget things like Yle I would remember that.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
I thought I would remember a guy whipping.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Up right by you, though. I think I would remember
like being a teenager and seeing Bress for the first time.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
He said it was your first time.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
He didn't say it was the first time.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Or we're seeing Breass as a teenager, I would remember.
I don't think that the only Brest I can remember
seeing as a teenager. Just to let you know, it
was my anner seat. I walked in on her and
she had her top off, and I was mortified. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (33:35):
See, this is what's wrong with your brain. As you
remember that, but you don't remember. That's why, that's why
you need to have your brains steady to get.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
I swear on my life, I don't remember that story
and I didn't know where he was going with the
teal was like, my god, on my rolodex and re memories, Like,
what's he talking about. There's lots of other things that
have happened that were horrible that he could have said,
but he didn't. Anyway, good talk. That's the drunk down line,
John Jaye Rich first day the picks, You.
Speaker 12 (34:00):
Got one, Braden, I do, Yeah, I'm fairly certain I
gave a girl. I went on a date with the ick.
Basically we went out to dinner and I unfortunately suffered
from chronic nose leads, so I just thought something must
have been happening that night. I guess because I kept
(34:23):
getting them, and by the third one I just had
to call it off.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
Dad.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
And also I feel her because like, hm, you're in
tripping blood at the date.
Speaker 6 (34:35):
No.
Speaker 12 (34:35):
I definitely understand why.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
What a bummer out though, because you can't control it.
Speaker 7 (34:42):
Does anything in particular bring it on? Were you stressed
out or what usually causes.
Speaker 12 (34:46):
Like he's in the bathroom right normally just just a
certain certain barometric pressure. I don't know, Man, it's.
Speaker 14 (34:54):
Crazy, Okay.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
So I thought we were gonna get calls from people
that were saying, you know, this person did something and
icked me out. You're you're the person. You can admit
you're the ick like you're I mean, it's right. So
you're on a date, you get a chronic nosebleed and
and she now ghosts you. It's kind of sad because
you think I would think that there's a medical answer
(35:16):
to that, like more zinc or something or iron or
what is blood? There must be there must be something
that you could take for that. I have to don't,
right or I mean, or is that something you have
a disease? It's something a disease, right, No? Yeah, yeah,
you know, like there's a condition, right, anemia or something
like something like that, because I know people that get
(35:39):
nosebleeds a lot, but I don't know if it's chronic
or it could be the air the outage is near.
You gotta dry nose, you know, maybe African can help you.
No spray careful that they say it's addicting, but I've
been doing it every day for ten years. All right, Braden, Well,
thanks for sharing that dick.
Speaker 12 (35:56):
Thank you?
Speaker 15 (35:57):
All right?
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Poor guy, Hayley, you have a dating dick a first date?
Speaker 23 (36:00):
I sure do.
Speaker 15 (36:02):
This was crazy.
Speaker 27 (36:03):
So I talked to this guy on an online dating app.
We met for the first time at just middle of
the day lunch, totally cool, and a few minutes into
the conversation after he got to know me a little bit,
he looks me straight dead in the eyes and goes,
you would be abducted, And of course I was like,
I'm sorry what And come to find out that he
(36:26):
was a doomsday prepper and because he found out that
I had skills by being in the medical profession and
a veteran, he went off about how my skills would
get me abducted because everybody would want to keep me
as part of their like post apocalyptic.
Speaker 7 (36:46):
Get away. For a guy like that, that is a compliment. Probably,
Oh you get abduct you get stolen into this. If
you're her, it's definitely anick oh for sure, for sure,
Like are you.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
Trying to abduct me?
Speaker 8 (36:57):
So crazy?
Speaker 16 (36:58):
That's what I thought.
Speaker 7 (36:59):
I was like, I you nervous, Yeah, because you know
he's making a list of people he's going to take.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
So how did it end? Did he walk you to
your car to your house in the dark. No.
Speaker 27 (37:09):
Luckily, it was the middle of the day and I
was trying to get out of there. He kept ordering
cups of coffee, y'all. It went forever there, but I
never looked back and never called him again.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Good move.
Speaker 27 (37:21):
I don't think he knows where I live.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Good Thanks Haley, thanks for sharing that with us. Thank you, Carly.
You've got a dating story.
Speaker 23 (37:30):
Yes they do.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
What happened?
Speaker 23 (37:33):
Oh, okay, So this was probably about five or six
years ago. But I went on a date, met somebody
for the first time off of a dating app, and
the conversation was just pretty bizarre, and somehow he got
on the topic of what he eats, and he told
me he's a pretty picky eater and the every day
at work for lunch, eats toast for lunch, which I
(37:56):
thought was kind of bizarre. But he went on to
tell me that is very stressful and the toast is
comforting to him, and that for the last five or
six years he's been eating toast for lunch, and that
for the last year or so he'd been putting salad
dressing on his toast. So I asked him, you know,
(38:17):
why are you using salad dressing and he said, well,
one day I ran out of butter, and I decided
I liked it, And I asked him if he ever
switches it up, and he told me that he basically
switches out the bread sometimes and then sometimes he uses
creamy Italian and sometimes it's creamy Caesar. So it just
(38:37):
was really weird. And I mean, he talked about it
for so long, but I actually ended up recording it
on my voice app, and I actually looked at it
yesterday and I was like, oh my gosh. It was
just the conversation kept continuing, It's really weird.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Is it Crystal Clear?
Speaker 12 (38:52):
Like?
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Can we have that voice app? Can we play it? I?
Speaker 23 (38:56):
Probably, but I don't know how to do it while
I'm on the phone. I can send it to you
probably and you're in box or something.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
I think it'd be funny, is it Crystal Clear? Like
you hear him saying, well, you know, let's just like toast.
Speaker 23 (39:09):
Yeah, And actually, I mean I was kind of leading
the questions because I went on for so long, but
I exactly went on for so long that I, you know,
was like, okay, tell me again, how did this happen?
And he was just like, oh, you know, and then
he just said, I get so stressed out and Mike
needs toast, and he referred to himself in the third person. Wow,
(39:30):
So yeah, so yeah, I just don't know how to
get it off my phone.
Speaker 7 (39:34):
So I'm not that kind of logical, but I kind
of kn't now as you kind of roll it out,
if you're doing like Caesar on toast, wouldn't it taste
a little like a crouton from a Caesar salad.
Speaker 23 (39:45):
I'm not totally against would no. I mean I wouldn't either.
It's just the fact that he eats it every day,
and he told me he eats it about five or
six times during the work day, so and it helps
with his anxiety for some reason. So, but you know,
I'm I'm a speech pathologist. So I was kind of
trying to like get to the bottom of what was
(40:06):
going on with him, And at one point he knew
that I was a speech pathologist, but he told me
that he didn't understand why I needed an advanced degree,
that you know, anybody could do speech pathology. So I
kind of felt like I was talking to one of
my students the whole time.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
It was just strange, Okay, I have an idea. Okay,
I have an idea. Yes, what if we hang up
with you, you send us the audio and then we'll
call you back, okay and play it.
Speaker 23 (40:34):
Oh gosh, Okay, let's.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Just hopefully or if it doesn't work out, we won't.
If we can't get it, we can't figure out behind
the scenes, then we'll just let it go. But if
it does, we will call you back immediately. So everyone
listening right now, I can hear him talk about Toast.
Speaker 23 (40:45):
Okay, okay, so good a right, Okay, hang.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
On real quick, you guys.
Speaker 23 (40:50):
So should I just try to send it to your Instagram?
Speaker 2 (40:52):
No, hold on right now, but we'll give you a
private number. Hold on for one second, Carly. Okay, and
by the way, I thought a good mic drop for you.
After your date you get a you know what this
relationship is, Toast and then you walk out.
Speaker 7 (41:03):
Yes, right, well, and also.
Speaker 23 (41:04):
His name is Mike, so mic drop right, my drop
damn yeah Toast?
Speaker 2 (41:12):
All right, Carl, hold on, hold on, you gotta hear
this voicema hold on, hold on, we'll get into it next.
It's John Jay and Rich. Good news. Carly sent us
the audio. Carly, we got the audio. It worked okay,
but here's the thing. No one's heard it yet, even Nick.
You send it to Nick and Nick put it right up.
So we're about to play it so quick. Recap Carly's
(41:33):
itch when she went on a first date with the
guy and the Holly did was talk about toast and
then she took the phone and hit voice notes and this,
and you could you couldn't believe it. Right then you
just started leading him down the path talking about.
Speaker 23 (41:45):
Toast, right, yes, exactly. I'm kind of You can kind
of hear me laughing, and I feel bad.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
But not to laugh. Actually, okay, let's here we go.
Speaker 11 (41:52):
Here we go today.
Speaker 26 (41:53):
I'm like, trail mix, and then what else do you
snack on besides the okay, trail mix and toast?
Speaker 10 (41:59):
And how many time dating with the toast?
Speaker 28 (42:02):
A long?
Speaker 25 (42:05):
So it will be like, are you kind of stressed out?
Speaker 22 (42:09):
I've got kind of a high.
Speaker 28 (42:11):
Stressed job, okay, but.
Speaker 8 (42:15):
I kind of like it.
Speaker 10 (42:16):
Okay, so when I get stressed out, I said, right,
needs toast.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
That is so funny.
Speaker 5 (42:29):
That's another quote for a tea shirt.
Speaker 16 (42:36):
Toast.
Speaker 23 (42:44):
I was telling Dylan that it's I mean, I was
in the dating world for a long time. Thank god,
I'm no longer. That was just a mild I've had
so many other experiences too.
Speaker 7 (42:54):
When you say no longer in the dating world, you've
found somebody or you just gave up.
Speaker 23 (42:59):
I did no, I no, I did not give up.
I actually found someone. I'm engaged. We've engaged for a
couple of years. And yeah, I mean Mike was in
my rear view mirror for like seven years. Already.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
Good, I'm glad that's old real quick. So what's the
worst ache you said you have? Bad? What's a really
bad ache you had?
Speaker 23 (43:18):
Oh, I don't know if it's suitable for radio so.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
We could believe it.
Speaker 23 (43:21):
Let me just put it this way that I had
to google out of terms when I was getting messages
from people things I had never heard of before. I
did get a lot of people that were into There
was somebody into Christian domestic discipline. I don't know if
you've ever heard of that.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
We need you to go on to cover. We need
to go to cover find out that is well.
Speaker 23 (43:45):
I finally said these people as one person, I said,
I don't understand, like, there's nothing in my profile that
indicates this is what I want. So what is it about?
Me that made you choose me? And he said, well,
you're really tiny and I could put you over my
knee and spank you.
Speaker 7 (43:59):
So I literally just googled it.
Speaker 4 (44:02):
And the first thing says it's when the husband spanked
their wives.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
Wow. You didn't follow up with.
Speaker 23 (44:06):
That, absolutely, oh no, And I asked him about it.
He said that he was in another relationship and his
wife ex wife used to make goals for herself. So,
for example, she had a goal for going to the gym,
you know, four or five times a week, and if
she didn't meet the goal, then he would put her
over his knee and let her choose like what she
wanted to be disciplined with. And I was like, I'm out.
Speaker 5 (44:28):
Yeah, why Wow.
Speaker 23 (44:31):
There are Pinterest pages?
Speaker 7 (44:33):
No way, Wow, there are.
Speaker 25 (44:36):
Kyle didn't get a resolutions yea, rich you better tee
you're getting all my lap?
Speaker 2 (44:48):
All right, All right, Card, you're amazing, You're amazing. Thank you.
Speaker 23 (44:53):
Listence the rest of the boys mill when you have time,
because it goes even crazier.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
Okay, maybe put that on a podcast.
Speaker 7 (45:00):
Is a really good interviewer on the spot.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
It's amazing, amazing, really good, Card.
Speaker 23 (45:05):

it'd be an occupational hazard if I couldn't communicate.
Speaker 2 (45:09):

Speaker 7 (46:39):

it also sounds like bru Mar to me.
Speaker 2 (46:42):

Speaker 5 (47:17):
It is a female, not Oprah, not Oprah. No, that
was Paris Hilton.
Speaker 19 (47:30):
But you do have a chance to redeem yourself in
round two. All of the points double in this round,
so don't worry. John Jay is on the board with
two points. He begins round two with this celebrity.
Speaker 2 (47:41):
From Dawn, I think people know the truth. What there's
two voices there?
Speaker 5 (47:46):
No, No, that is one person.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Can I hear it again?
Speaker 6 (47:50):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (47:51):

Holy smoke.
Speaker 5 (47:56):
Chris Hemsworth incorrect, John Jay, that is Hulk Hogan documentary

Speaker 2 (48:05):
Dead all right?
Speaker 5 (48:09):
Rich vera round two, which celebrity said.
Speaker 7 (48:12):
This, she dropped it now that she doesn't need it, Honey,
I haven't been needing it for a while.
Speaker 12 (48:17):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (48:18):
I think this is the toughest clip in the entire game.
But I figured you could handle this.
Speaker 7 (48:23):
It's somebody with an East Coast accident. Sounded like Wendy
Williams to me, my first guest, I'm going to go
with Wendy Williams.
Speaker 5 (48:29):
Incorrect. Anyone for the steal, didn't think so. It's Kimora Lee.
Speaker 6 (48:37):
Is gone.
Speaker 10 (48:37):
She is just.
Speaker 5 (48:39):
Get it right?
Speaker 10 (48:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (48:40):
Sorry, Rich, you are also out. Go sit in the
pen with John Jay Peyton.
Speaker 10 (48:45):
You're up. You all need to get out more.
Speaker 3 (48:47):
I think.
Speaker 4 (48:50):
We all need to get out more. That is Hunter Schaeffer.
Speaker 5 (48:54):
It's not I'm not Nick throwing random first.
Speaker 19 (49:01):
That's what his Rich Rich is really good at this,
so I give him the most challenging ones because he
likes a good brain buster.
Speaker 5 (49:08):
No, that was Sabrina Carpenter.
Speaker 19 (49:11):
Sabrina Carpenter, and that was her reaction to everyone's reaction
about her controversial album cover. I didn't telling her y'all
need to get out more. Okay, Diana, it looks like
John J. Richar and Payton have made round two quite
easy for you to take this. This is worth of
five points. Please listen very closely and tell me which
celebrity said this.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
Hey there, it's Ryan Renolds fan. It's time to say
goodbye to Big Cable.
Speaker 16 (49:35):
Oh my goodness, Ryan Reynolds.
Speaker 4 (49:39):
With five points.
Speaker 5 (49:40):
Diana has one celebrity.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
You're gonna go see Benson Boone. Congratulations, thanks for listening.
Speaker 15 (49:49):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
There's a TEXTA just came in. Rich just so confidently
saying Bruno Mars during the celebrity Oprah Cliff was the
damn funniest thing I've heard all week.
Speaker 7 (49:59):
Also sounds like Bruno Mars.
Speaker 5 (50:01):
I was like waiting for you to guess again because
I thought I thought you were joking.
Speaker 7 (50:07):
When doesn't Bruno have that kind of same kind of
husky voice wait.
Speaker 10 (50:12):
I've had every dream in my life.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
I have to say until what she says, I have
to say.
Speaker 7 (50:16):
That's when you can hear Oprah like, oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:19):
If that last segment offended you, I am really really sorry.
Please email our management at your Mom at iHeartRadio dot
your mom dot com.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
It's John, Jay and Rich. All Right, So something happened
last weekend or over the weekend happened on the show,
and then I got a DM from Amy about it,
and it made me think about something we have to
do on the air. Amy's out the line, but first
here's what we're gonna get into. How'd you use a fork?
Speaker 7 (50:45):
Because that Brady's got a fork story.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Everybody's got After Amy's DM, I realized everyone's got a
fork story?
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Day.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
What's your fork story? Amy? Good morning?
Speaker 10 (50:56):
Okay.
Speaker 18 (50:57):
So randomly we had like a picture and I was
like fixing it, and when I fixed it, I noticed
that there was like these four prongs, like these little
dots that were in the wall. And my little brother
he was just mischievous and he had like an airsoft gun.
He like put a hole in my mom's brand new
fridge one time. So I thought this was like something
(51:19):
that my brother did and he's trying to cover it up.
So I go to my mom because like I'm the
oldest and I like to tat to tell because I'm
petty like that. And she's like, well, what actually happened
was you're a stepfather and I were having a conversation
and he pissed me.
Speaker 6 (51:34):
Off, and she threw a fork at him, and he
dodged it.
Speaker 18 (51:37):
And it went probably about fifty feet and landed straight
into the wall.
Speaker 7 (51:42):
Work in his forehead like a ninja.
Speaker 10 (51:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
And after seeing that, I was like, after reading your
at text or your DM, I was like, man, that's
exactly a Kyle story, except it hit before him.
Speaker 5 (51:54):
I didn't do it. I just actually just stabbed it.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
Oh you clus, it's more violent every time had more
hostile back then with your long arms you got, he
couldn't stop it.
Speaker 7 (52:08):
He could have been in the backyard and she could
have got in her arms side.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
Well, thank you, Amy. Everyone's got a fork story, ever,
but he's got a fork story.
Speaker 18 (52:17):
Everyone has to have a fork story. I mean, it's
just it's the thing. It's easy to grab insteady throw grab.
Speaker 2 (52:29):
Oh my god, all right, Amy, I have a great day.
Thank you for listening, but eight seven seven nine four
seven because Kyle's story, and then Peyton your story, because
that's what happened. Was it was like your story. You
threw it your sister.
Speaker 3 (52:41):
Yeah, no, me and my sister got into it and
she threw a fork at me and it hit my
forehead right in the middle.
Speaker 7 (52:45):
Really yeah.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
And then rich you said you have as I do.
Speaker 7 (52:48):
And Stacy is my witness for this. I don't think
that I get really mad at a bunch of things.
But one thing that I find myself always being hostile
at is really bad phone customer service. And I had
had a credit card stolen, and I'm going through all
these charges that aren't mine, and they're like, are you
sure you didn't buy a giant tool set in Sri Lanka?
And I'm like so frustrated because I can't get this.
(53:10):
And I take this fork because I'm eating. I chuck
it across the room with my left hand as hard
as I can. And the mystery is that we have
never found that fork to this day. It has just
gone somewhere. I've looked under couches, I've looked at walls.
I don't know where the fork went. But I lost
my ish through a fork. Still don't know where it is,
somewhere in the middle of my kitchen and family room.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
What's your fork story eight seven, seven, nine three seven
one oh four seven. I've never told this or my
fok story is not exciting, but I do have a
fork storte. I mean, it's a fourk story. It's a
four story. So I went to when I was like,
I just got out of college and I got my
first job. Long story short. I was seeing a therapist,
right but I called him a success coach. He was
supposed to make me successful. And I was sitting like
(53:53):
on a couch like you would with a shrink, and
he wants me to write down my earliest childhood memory.
And I remember, this is like my earliest childhood memory.
I remember getting out a blue tricycle and I lived
in Tucson on thirtieth Street and twenty ninth Street was
the really busy street. I remember getting on my tricycle
and I'm riding my bike on my tricycle by myself,
and I'm going around the block and I'm going and
(54:14):
I find a fork and I pick it up like
it's treasure. I couldn't believe. I was like, I held
it in my hand and I remember driving home, riding
my tricycle home with a fork, and I brought it
home and my mom was like, what do a fork?
And it was like dirty, so she threw it away
and it was my treasure. That's like my earliest memory.
It's not an exciting story, but I have a fork story,
(54:35):
much like.
Speaker 5 (54:35):
The Little Mermaid.
Speaker 2 (54:36):
Your fork that happened a little more fork?
Speaker 5 (54:39):
Who's a dingle hopper?
Speaker 7 (54:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (54:41):
What?
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Yeah, I don't know, that's just her.
Speaker 4 (54:43):
She thinks it's a brush.
Speaker 2 (54:44):
Like I've never seen Little moview many things. John Jay,
You're just like the Little Mermaid. Alright eight seven, seven,
nine three seven, one oh four seven. We want to
hear your fork story. That is next with John Jay
and Rich.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
You've got questions and we have four unqualified people to
give you answers.
Speaker 2 (55:06):
It's John Jay and Rich. Everybody's got a fork story. Tom,
what's your fork story?
Speaker 23 (55:11):
Hey, good morning?
Speaker 22 (55:12):
Uh yeah, so I've got one I'll never forget for
the rest of my days. I was a freshman in
high school working in a dietary department at a retirement home.
I was serving a gentleman retired veteran and we didn't
have the right kind of insure for him. I only
had vanilla, but he wanted strawberry, and I kept trying
(55:32):
to in since we ate, we don't have any. Stabbed
me with the fork.
Speaker 28 (55:35):
Oh my god, in my thigh.
Speaker 22 (55:42):
Yeah, he stabbed me in my leg.
Speaker 20 (55:43):
It was bleeding out a little bit.
Speaker 22 (55:45):
I went back. They cleaned it up, and they're like, hey.
Speaker 28 (55:48):
Get back to work.
Speaker 13 (55:51):
Dang.
Speaker 22 (55:52):
So some I'll forget or I won't forget for the
rest of my life.
Speaker 2 (55:56):
You got like four little marks on your leg or
five little marks?
Speaker 28 (56:00):
No, I've still got yep. I got you left on.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
There all right, Tom, Thanks brother, Amanda. Everybody's got a
fork story. What's yours?
Speaker 16 (56:08):
So we went to Westgate for a friend of ours
fortieth birthday. A male and an ex girlfriend of his
showed up, and the new girlfriend did not take too
kindly to this. And the one that's like evening when
we were out there, we were at dinner and I
jokingly made a comment. I was like, oh, you could
(56:31):
always shank her in the bathroom, like with a fork,
And the next thing I know, they both kind of
like at separate times, went to the restroom and the
ex girlfriend came back holding a fork and she handed
it to our friend whose birthday it was, and he
was like, your girlfriend just handed this to me in
the bathroom and asked if I could bring it back
to the table. And I just thought it was so funny.
(56:55):
And she and I, like the new girlfriend and I
became such good friends. I actually have a pair of
fork ear rings that I'm wearing today that reminds me
of her always. So when you guys said that, I
was like, oh my god, I'm wearing my fork earrings today.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
That is perfect. That is a perfect story.
Speaker 10 (57:14):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (57:15):
Wow, chance she's wearing her right, I.
Speaker 16 (57:18):
Put them on this morning and I was like, no, way,
Like that's perfect.
Speaker 2 (57:23):
But hey, just to be clear, though, she didn't go
to the bathroom and stab her, right, she didn't hand
you the fork back, you know she'd blood up.
Speaker 15 (57:29):
He didn't.
Speaker 12 (57:29):
She ran Yeah, no, she ran into her in the bathroom.
Speaker 15 (57:32):
She's like, oh, here, could you just take this back.
Speaker 14 (57:34):
To the table for me?
Speaker 15 (57:35):
And the other girl had no idea what she was.
Speaker 8 (57:37):
It was just so funny.
Speaker 16 (57:38):
When she came back, I.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Was like, oh my god, that's so clever. Well, thanks
for calling in you. Everyone's got a fork story, right,
Thanks Amanda, Melissa, what's your fork story?
Speaker 23 (57:49):
So?
Speaker 20 (57:49):
What my daughter, she's sixteen now, but when she was
like nine, we were on vacation in California and San
Diego and she just she wanted to bring this sqork
with her on vacation and it just kept popping up
and she's just like, I just feel like we need
to bring this fork with us, Like I have this
core memory of us walking back from the beach to
(58:09):
where we parked and I found the fork in one
of the pockets of the strollers, and she's like, I
just I feel like we need to have it. And
I'm like, okay, what does she know? Is this premonition?
Like are we gonna need to like protect ourselves with
this sport? It was so random, and I just texted
her I wish she was in the car and he
(58:30):
dropped her off and I was wondering if I was
wondering if she remembered it and what she recalled, like
what was her thought process? Was an anxiety?
Speaker 18 (58:39):
Was it just oh my gosh.
Speaker 20 (58:42):
It was so random, but we all supported her in it.
Speaker 27 (58:46):
We're like, okay, you can.
Speaker 20 (58:47):
Bring the fork.
Speaker 2 (58:51):
Well, see everyone's got a fork story. That's a cute
fork story, not the violent kind we've been taking. We'll
have a great day. Thank you for listening, Melissa. What's up? Gerald?
Speaker 6 (58:59):
Was John J.
Speaker 28 (59:00):
Riche when I was a kid. So when I was
a kid, me and my neighbor got into a fight
in my backyard and there was a barbecue you know,
those those barbecue forks, the two prunk. So I chucked it.
I chucked it at him and it hit and it
and it literally hid his nose and stuck. But he
(59:21):
didn't stab his eyes and you know the side where
your nose and your eyes are, and it stood right
there on his nose and everything. And he was like,
what the I'm like, dude, did he cut you? He goes, no, dude,
it's just like it caught my nose, stop before it
went into my eyes.
Speaker 7 (59:36):
That's a perfect shot.
Speaker 28 (59:38):
Oh yeah, No, I'm very good with nice. Yeah, but
it freaked me out because I was trying to get
hit him in the face, you know, and it's just
like and he's just like what I'm like, dude, He goes, no, dude,
look it's stocks and I and it literally caught the
bridge of his nose and just stopped right before his eyes, right,
(01:00:01):
you know, with the corner of your eyes are And yeah,
I got I got yelled at.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Sure you know I don't do that.
Speaker 28 (01:00:07):
Yeah, my mom and dad and his parents like, no
more nights playing.
Speaker 7 (01:00:11):
I'm like, okay, because because not everybody has a barbecue
tool story, we're gonna allow that as a fork story.
Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Yeah, all right, thanks Gerald. Look there's a text here.
When I was nineteen, I was at Savers getting decoration, decorations,
decorations more but a fascinations. You get decorations the Savers,
you get decorations, fascinations digcorated and getting you said Savers,
getting a decorations for apartment. She was my cousin. I
(01:00:40):
found a giant wooden fork. It's probably four feet long.
I still have it today, and it's moved with me
over the last twenty one years. I'm still searching for
a giant spoon. There's another text. When I was younger,
my best friend lived with me. My mom would make
chicken and rice. I always would give my best friend
my chicken, and I would always take her rice. One
night I went to get the rice off her plate.
(01:01:01):
She thought I was taking her chicken, and she stabbed
me with a forge of my thigh. Everyone's got at
you come for the John Jay and Ridge. But let's
be honest. If you stay for Kyle and Peyton, it's
John Jay and Ridge. All right. Nick Nicks the host
this game, Katrina, Good morning, Good morning, Katrina. You're playing
(01:01:22):
for some Teddy Swims tickets.
Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
You guys were playing Noise Machine today. I like the
theme my games. We've got Teddy Swims tickets. So the
theme is things that swim. Love it, things that swim,
things in water. Okay, we're gonna start things off with
John Jay.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
I want to say, that sounds to me like Teddy Swims. No,
that must be a dolphin or a whale, or a
seal or a Walris Walris. You're gonna go with Walras Walris.
Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Okay, I'm sorry, John Jay. That's incorrect, and it's very close.
It is something that likes to swim. It's a sea turtle.
Speaker 10 (01:02:06):
You know.
Speaker 26 (01:02:06):
That's the sound.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
That's a very noise you know it.
Speaker 29 (01:02:10):
Now, Okay, moving on, Rich Barra, Well, I mean that
sounds like a dinosaur, and you would put a dinosaur
on there.
Speaker 7 (01:02:22):
Okay, but maybe that is a one of those pigmy hippos.
Cute little pigmy.
Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
Hippo, pigmy hippo. Okay, that's also a good guess.
Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
It's it's it's wrong us of course, guys, it's an alligator.
Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
I be so scared if I heard that noise.
Speaker 7 (01:02:39):
Don't go around that like.
Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
The alligator at the Phoenix Zoo the first time I
took my daughter there and she was like two, and
it came out of the water and made that noise,
and she will not She's now.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
You got to see that because my entire life going
to the zoo the alligators or was just chilling. It
is terrifying, like the deck. Sure, yeah, it was crazy. Uh, anyway,
we'll move on now.
Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
Nobody on the board just yet. Peyton, that is one
hundred in inter Yes, Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
You should an idiot.
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
You should guess something odter than that. Go ahead, Katrina.
Sea lion, sea lion, that's another good guess. It is
wrong as well. Uh, it's a polar bear, cub.
Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
Polar bear, cup feet and mean, Kyle, we just heard
the sea lion orchestra at the Wildlife World, just so
I knew it wasn't a sea lion.
Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Yeah, they're low.
Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Polar bears eat sea lions. Anyway, moving on, Kyle.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Dude, you got the best barrels ever.
Speaker 12 (01:03:50):
Dude, just like you pull in and you just get
spit right out of them, and you just drop in
and just smack the lip drop down.
Speaker 5 (01:03:59):
Said, I don't know who that is. But people swim, Yeah, people,
you know what people do?
Speaker 2 (01:04:06):
Swims? Looking for something a little more specific.
Speaker 21 (01:04:09):
Can we steal, try to trade and go surfer.
Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
Surfer is correct? All people are surfers, but not all
surfers are people the other way around. All right, Trada's
your turn. I am the protector of the team.
Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
I am.
Speaker 23 (01:04:36):
Is that awkward.
Speaker 10 (01:04:39):
On board?
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
She's got two points heading out around one of commanding lead.
As we go into round two, John jay.
Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Well says, you've been playing clips of interesting animals. I
almost want to guess that it's the duck build platypus,
but I think I'm gonna go with penguin, penguin. You
know what, that's a good guess this This animal eats penguins. Uh,
we're looking go ahead, Katrina. Is it's not a seagull,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
We are looking for dolphin, dolphins, penguins, dolphins actually mean.
Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
Creatures, savage.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
I saw this video these people were watching the killer whales.
There's a whole bunch of killer whales and they were
on a boat and all these killer wares are simmon.
It was beautiful, like ten of them was beautiful. And
then they pop up and they just rip apart a
dolphins all red. It's a delicacy in some countries. As
(01:05:43):
we move on, Rich.
Speaker 7 (01:05:54):
Got it. Yeah, it's a kraken.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
I think it's wattle water from Fatom Menace.
Speaker 7 (01:06:04):
Something from Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
You're looking neither of those, you guys that we are
looking for a sea lion if you wanted to be
politically correct, it's a California.
