Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
Ryan Air on Air with a Ryan Seacrest morning.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
We got no games today, no soccer games today. It's
a gameless Wednesday, July eighth. Yeah, it's gonna if you're inland,
it is going to be hot, so brace for that.
It always is, but it's really going to hit it today.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Triple digits in the valley.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
That feels like triple digits plus ten or twelve. Yeah,
So the feel I don't I'm not usually in the
real temperature. I want feels like temperature that's all I
care about.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
It feels like Tanya.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I had that epiphany this weekend as well.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
So funny Tanya. I just watched her. She put up
her finger like she was going to say something. I
looked at her and made eye contact. I stopped speaking,
and then she just nodded at me.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Because I had that the same thing too. I was like,
I don't care what temperature it is because it feels like.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I only once feels like that should be the first
thing we see on the phone. Then if you want
to dig deeper, get into the other one. Right, we
are aligned once again.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Like it's it's whatever degrees.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
But it feels like give me what it feels like
with the wind as well.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
To me, that's what I want. That's what I want.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Uh wow, I gotta tell you in my weekend watch list,
I'm into a series for Friday segment No.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Last night I was watching Night Manager too. Have you
seen it? Have not? Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
This guy Tom Huddleson, Tom Hidleson, is that anything?

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Hits hidles Tom Hittleston. W He's great. Tom Hidleston is great.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I saw the first one like eight years ago, and
they've done another. It's not new, but it's right up
my alley of spy and try like all the cool stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
So I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I was so excited last night to watch the first episode.
Stop that did not go for a number two. I
want to savor I want to savor this. I got
real self restraint when it comes.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
To can't, I'll binge it all Like I already finished
L which is so cute by the way. L It's
like the prequel to Legally Blonde, super cute.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Okay, good, all right, we'll put that on my weekend
onces this cue.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
No, I have to self restrained because I get so
wound up like I finished that Harlan Harlan Corbyn Coby
Harlan Coben series. I will find you. I finished it
so fast I was like sad that I was done.
So I'm trying to show self restraint.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Impressed you finished it makes me want to watch it.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
It's oh my gosh, you haven't seen it. You are blessed.
You're so lucky. Till twelve.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Come back to me and I'll have other more times.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah, I'll make it out. All right.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Now, let me tell you this morning, Chewie is out.
He's gonna be a Huntington Beach, all right, Chewey Martinez,
got your free gas in Huntington Beach. And everybody in
the back room is telling me that the calls keep
coming in for these BTS tickets. So in turn, Madison,
are you familiar with BTS?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yes, I am.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
All right, we're giving away tickets. You know this, Yes,
I do every hour on the tens. So when the
phones light up, make sure everyone knows that all week.
For the rest of the week, ten pass every hour
until I guess through nine ten until ten this morning,
we will have the BTS tickets, all right, got it?

(03:20):
I think she's learning nothing from us? Oh h nothing?
I mean what do we teach her?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
What have we taught her? Or nothing? We haven't taught anything?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Time management?

Speaker 7 (03:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Have you learned time management from us?

Speaker 7 (03:32):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
What have you learned?

Speaker 7 (03:34):
You guys are really funny?

Speaker 1 (03:35):
What are the highlights? Like?

Speaker 7 (03:37):
Just like the banter, it's like quick, but it like
flows really well.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
You learned that she's learning improv with us?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
See? Oh improv? Yes, yeah, this is improv. This is
all you get. Four hours of improv. Five busy week.
You're welcome. We have your Lego Land tickets on the
way and more BTS tickets after seven. Jordan Ruby intern Madison,
that Kayla all in the back room. Jordan, step up
to the mic for one second, since you're going to
be answering these calls back there. Nectar Ned is the

(04:05):
guy she made on Nectar. She's done with Hinge, done
with tender Nectar. She found the guy. She's gonna go
out with him a second time. I'm not going to
pry today about Nectar Ned. Nectar is a dating app
if you haven't heard, so, check it out if you
need one. You were telling me though, your brother who
is Nectar Ned's age younger than you. He got a
job and he doesn't need a dating app because of

(04:28):
this job and his style of hitting on people.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, is this a public service? Will people want to
learn this?

Speaker 6 (04:34):
I think this is a very very much public service
announcement for all the guys who like want to date
in the future. Remember your coffee orders for the gals.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Okay, okay, So what does he do? He's twenty one,
he works at a coffee shop. What's his move?

Speaker 6 (04:48):
So he is really good at recommending coffee orders for
the girls that he wants to impress that come into.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
The coffee shop. That's cute.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
I love it and it worked, And it's so funny
because some of the baristas just always roll their eyes
whenever he's like talking to one of the girls that
he likes, because they just know that this is like
what he does.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
That's his game, Like they know that he's on his
game right now.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
So did these are these uh eligible bachelorettes? Do they
come in and not know what kind of coffee they want?
Or does he just launch into Hey, you know what,
I got a good idea for you. I think you're
the type they would like this. Macha Maka Maca.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
You know, it feel like works either or most of
the time though he will he'll tell me like they
don't know what to order.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
They're new to the shop.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
So he'll always say like, oh, this is what I
recommend or this is what I.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Think, And so he looks for a confused look on
a face and then he goes in with the white
flat yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
He's like a flat white What does that thing.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Called flat white?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah? Or does he remember their drinks? And so when
they walk in, I was like Marissa to.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
No, he will do that too, and because of those recommendations,
they'll come back again and be like, oh, I want
that drink that you referred to last time.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
This is just about being detailed.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
Specific coded, definitely just sent you to the details.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
And it's working for him.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
It is.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
He's gone some Instagram handles. He's gotten a phone number too,
so he's he's got himself a roster from a coffee shop.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I understand what you're saying. You'd like some time off
from here to work at a coffee shop. Nectar is
not the only way that you want to pursue guys, Sure,
no problem, Yeah, honey, vanilla latte. Who's next? I anybody
see I could do this. Well, it's a busy weekend.
Last weekend Taylor and Travis got married. I was in
the city of Nashville with a five hundred thousand people

(06:40):
in the streets there on Broadway. I say, ringing in
the New year, almost said, celebrating the fourth of July.
It's the episolute opposite than the ball drop one hundred
degrees And all those people were out there with a
live concert and a fireworks. Pretty spectacular, great city in Nashville.
Love you guys, thanks for having us there. And you
also went to a wedding systanty over the weekend's are
there a lot of summer?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Summer is a.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Popular time, a lot of summer we of course, yeah, obviously.
And so you notice some things that you think might
become popular at weddings and trends that might happen.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
Yeah, right, I think, well, and there was one of
them that actually, Tanya, you did at your wedding too.
So I'm just thinking that this is like a cute
trend that is, you know, gaining popularity and whatnot. It
was my best friend Erica's wedding, and she comes from
a blended family, so she has like her parents divorced
when she was younger, so they have she.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Has step siblings and all that. So after they did.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Their first dance and gave like a speech, like a
welcome speech to everybody, she mentioned her step family and
they all have like kids now, and there's nieces and
nephews and things like that, and she she's like, right now,
before we start the party, I really want to do
a first dance of all our family, so like if
you're in our family, like nieces, nephews, like basically all

(07:48):
the siblings and their kids. And they did a first
dance of just the family, which I thought was so
cute and I hadn't ever seen that before at a wedding.
They also did when Tanya did this as well at
her wedding, handwritten notes to every single guest that arrived.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
So you sat down at your table.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Oh my god, no, remind me, yes, where were the
notes the plate on the Yes, okay, I recall now.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
I remember they taped them because it was so windy.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yes, your pet. Did you even read yours?

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I don't know if I got mine? Was it underneath
my plate? It was there, I mean it was at
the center. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
If it was, it was, I mean, how did you
not read everyone was reading?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
There's everyone's crying.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
It was my favorite at this part was I.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Was about to introduce Sophia Carson all right.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I was there so hand written notes to each guest.
I think it's such a good move. I think it's
so thoughtful, and it just like it. It really sets
the tone. I think, right as everyone's arriving for the reception,
and then instead of throwing the bouquet, they did a
shirt toss. So they did customized t shirts for their wedding,
and they threw out like twenty five shirts into the crowd.

(09:02):
Everyone's wasted at that time, and it was like, everyone
wants a much.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Better idea than the bouquet toss because and I when
it came ready for mine, there was like five single
girls at my wedding, so I was just throwing it
to like five girls.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
You know, weddings have gotten so much more fun than
they used to be. Like I remember my parents showed
me photos of their wedding. I'm like, that's beautiful, but
not nearly as fun as what this sounds like exactly.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Or if you're like Travis and Taylor, you guys give
away a car, but you know I'm in the carnival
rides and win.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Tickets and get away an old What.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Was that like, a nineteen Chevy che Chevy. Yeah, all right.
Coming up in a second, I've got a quote of
the day, love quotes.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
And also with inflation making everything more expensive, three things
a lot of people are giving up.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
I'll tell you what's on the list.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
So I was reading an article about what a lot
of people are cutting out right because of inflation, and
this is the list of the top three things. Streaming
services are up there as something a lot of people
are cutting right now. High end coffee makers. I travel
with that simple mister coffee or queezing our one. I
don't need the fancy coffee maker's coffee. And then paper

(10:12):
towels cutting out to paper towels. Reusables, Yeah, yeah, reusables.
So here is today's quote. Small things done consistently create
results that massive efforts done occasionally will never do.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
It's like, gotta go to that Workout's not gonna see
results tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Gotta go again three weeks later. Oh, what's that popping?
That's a truck sap from me? Coming up on seven
o'clock and more.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Those BTS tickets for you to win Ciciny Wednesday, July eighth,
What you got for us?

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Just FM headlines with siciny Well.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
The DNB has warned eleven thousand drivers that testing anomalies
could avoid the written exams, and they must retake it
within thirty days or risk losing their licenses. Hiker Is
visiting for I'm in Canyon in Studio City will now
have to pay for parking at the trailhead lot seven
dollars for up to two hours or fourteen dollars for

(11:08):
four hours. The Hollywood Bowl is showing off its first
major sound upgrade in decades, debuting a new fully immersive
three hundred and sixty degrees surround sound system, and Disneyland
Resort has announced a limited time ticket offer for Anaheim residents,
with one day, one park adult tickets starting at just
seventy one dollars starting July sixteenth.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
See Christ with you and BTS tickets for you to
win in just a second? All right, but first dating apps?
Why not go for it? Let's not be shy about it.
You got to meet people. Man, time is going right,
Let's go. Mikayla's on Hinge. Tanya was on Hinge met
her husband, I married them, I.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Know for fact.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, it's real.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Sorry.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Sisney actually wrote the messages.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
It was a little bit weird, Intern Madison, So I
know that you're ready to get on one for the
first time Tanya was on Hinge. Sisney would write the
messages and then send them. So technically Robbie, her husband
fell for Sicity.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
No, we were together, and I would help guide her
with like, no, don't say that, Let's say like this
and then send.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Well that's what I said just before the.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
First day, after the first date, it.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Was all me maybe. So why is it you decided
it's time to get on a dating app?

Speaker 7 (12:23):
Intern Madison, Well, I just turned twenty one, I'm going
to be a senior in college, and I feel like
it's time. Why not?

Speaker 1 (12:29):
And which one are you thinking about going on? Or
were the top two?

Speaker 7 (12:33):
I'm thinking Hinge?

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Yeah, why Hinge?

Speaker 7 (12:37):
A lot of my friends have met guys on there,
and that's a popular one, so I think I'll go
with that.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
You know, there are also some smaller ones. Jordan, why'd
you pick nectar off.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
A YouTube channel that I discovered a few years back
and it's focuses on the I guess the psychology of high.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
That's why you've met a psycho major, you told me. Okay,
it makes sense.

Speaker 6 (12:57):
Oh yeah, I guess that is tying altogether.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
But yeah, now, Madison, as you are on this search,
why not double up a little nectar, little hinge? I mean,
why just put all your eggs in one basket.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Well, well, let me start slow.

Speaker 7 (13:10):
Yeah, maybe start with one if it doesn't work out.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Okay, you have to let me help you with your profile.
I need to see the pictures. She's good at this.
It works. You need to pick like twenty pictures. But
then we're gonna narrow those down. Okay, what kind of
guy you're looking for?

Speaker 8 (13:24):
Tall?

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Cue?

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Tall you? What is it? Come on? Guys are tall.

Speaker 7 (13:29):
And you come on, can't be the first thing?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
You just can't. I mean it is for her. She's
five to eight, so she is a tall girl. She
wants to talk what's wrong with the shorter guy and
a tall girl? Excuse me, that wasn't the question I
wanted to ask her question.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Basically, it's not trigger. I'm asking for other people. Why
can't a guy who's five to nine and a half
be it's a woman, it's six feet tall.

Speaker 7 (14:02):
It could work out. I think it could work just
for me being five eight and I liked her heels.
I was like, maybe at least same height.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Same.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
I love itage average, average.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
High, and I wouldn't take anybody shorter than six foot.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Guys have it's difficult prerech I like what I like.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
I'm just looking at You could try boom boom matches
people based on their height.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
I made. I think it says personality types actually, But
all right, the.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Back room telling me that Priscilla is on the line
here in Lakewood and she wants to demote a bridesmaid.
What happened, Priscilla, thanks for coming on. What happened? What
this bride's made do to be demoted?

Speaker 9 (14:52):
She didn't do anything. She didn't do anything. Do you
are you familiar with my story? Or shall I give
you a little run for me?

Speaker 1 (15:00):
I know the back room knows, But what happened? Tell me?

Speaker 9 (15:03):
Okay, so I was engaged before. Okay, that wedding didn't happen.
It got called off before the ceremony and everything. So
all for the best, for sure, you know. And at
the time I had already chosen my bridesmaids, and I
made a big deal out of asking them. Okay, so
fast forward to now it's been fourteen months. Yeah, I'm

(15:25):
in gates now to somebody new, and I went like,
am I required to keep the same bridesmaids as before?

Speaker 1 (15:35):
You know, why would you reconsider this one anyway? Because
some of those.

Speaker 9 (15:41):
Original bridesmaids aren't even that close to me anymore.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
So over time there was distance between the friendships. Is
that right?

Speaker 6 (15:49):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (15:50):
Yes, you know, things change over time. I mean it
kind of seems like it's not that long, but in
a way it's come of you know, things change.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
How many of the original bridesmaids would you not including
this other new wedding?

Speaker 9 (16:04):
Oh my gosh, I would say through a good three
of them for sure.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
What happened to the friendships of three people fourteen months? Person?
Let's go on? You know, are they still going to
come to the wedding? Is this this guy pushing them out?
What's happening? Well?

Speaker 9 (16:19):
No, no, they haven't even met him. They haven't even
met him.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Why are you losing friends? So foul? What's going on
with to friendships?

Speaker 6 (16:26):
They're not?

Speaker 9 (16:27):
I mean, it's just I feel like we're not as
close as we were. It's a kind of a different
relationship now, you know, I've grown closer to it. Let's
just say I've grown closer to other friends who I
feel more, you know, like they're more like.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Are the demoded potentially demoted bridessmaids going to the wedding?

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Are they invited?

Speaker 6 (16:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (16:48):
Well yeah, I would still invite them. But it's such
a weird it's awkward.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
It's not you can't you can't think that way. It's
not awkward. It needs to be deliberate. So awkwardness is
just something that you're creating awkward. So actually reality, the
reality is they know too that they're not as close
as they were fourteen months ago, and they'll understand that
they get invited, but not to be as part of
the bride'smaid party. So there are I mean, I'm speaking
as a never married person, but there are no rules

(17:16):
when it comes to your wedding.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
That's true.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
You do what you want to do and you invite
who you want to be on the bridesmaid's panel, period.

Speaker 9 (17:25):
But I will but what But the weird thing is
though that I had previously asked these gals to be
my bridesmaids.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
But another life, separate chapter that's over it.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
You cannot carry the guilt and worry about This is
the thing I've learned about weddings from the people I've
talked to over twenties Mark how.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Many years I've been doing this twenty two years.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Twenty two years of doing this show, specifically on Kiss
in the Morning, I have learned that many brides and
grooms worry too much about all the other stuff and
not what they want for themselves and the couple.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
About other people's feelings when it should all be about
you and what you want.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
So go take care of what you want that day
to be. Priscilla and congratulations. I mean, you met somebody
to get married to. Fourteen months later you're.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
On a roll.

Speaker 9 (18:13):
I know, is that so weird? I know, huh for you?

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yeah, all right, Priscilla, good luck.

Speaker 9 (18:21):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 6 (18:22):
Ryan.

Speaker 9 (18:22):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
I appreciate you calling. Thanks bye bye. You know, this
whole thing about awkwardness, we create that. You don't know
if it's going to be awkward. You don't know if
the other person's going to think its ocurre. We create
that narrative on our own awkwardnesses.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Stop totally.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
I know, gotta stop. Lego Land tickets are next to kiss.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
So Southern California, Los Angeles, city after city after city,
so many cities in the city, right, so many cities
in the counties. We're all here in this one big area,
but so many different cities.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
I'm fascinated with locations of stores, like locations of chains
in each place, like who has more of what in
every city of a chain. It's a game that I'm
really fascinated by. So we're gonna play it. Which city
has more? Vanessa is gonna play in rialto for a
four pack to Lego Land. Vanessa, Good morning, How are you?

Speaker 1 (19:16):
I'm super good.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Thanks for listening to us in rialto h All right,
it's called which city has more. I'm gonna give you
a chain and two cities. You tell me which has more. So,
for example, today's chain is Walgreens. Okay, so I'll give
you Walgreens. So I'll give you a city. You tell
me who is more Walgreens. Fascinating, isn't it?

Speaker 9 (19:40):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Okay, so here you are first one which has more Walgreens,
Long Beach or Anaheim.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
I'm gonna go with Long Beach. It's Anaheim by one.

Speaker 5 (19:55):
Isn't that crazy like practice question?

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (20:01):
No, it's the real stuff, all right, so interesting, okay.
Which city has more Walgreens? Lancaster or Santa Monica?

Speaker 8 (20:12):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (20:13):
Santamanaa.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Lancaster has one more three to two. Yes, it's so interesting,
now to stay in it. Which city has more Walgreens
Burbank or Riverside?

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yes, yes, by a.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Lot five to two two and Burbank five. I'm just
gonna get if you get this. When you win, here
we go. Ready, this is all for all the marbles.
Which city has more Walgreens Huntington Beach or Corona Corona? No,

(20:58):
they don't. Huntingdon has more Vulgarens. Where do you shop?

Speaker 1 (21:03):
I shop in upland actually, what do you? What store
do you go to?

Speaker 9 (21:09):
Targets?

Speaker 1 (21:11):
How many targets are in upland there are two?

Speaker 2 (21:18):
I don't know the answer, but I'm gonna give it
to you and give you the tickets. Congratulations, way to
come back. Thank you upland targets.

Speaker 5 (21:25):
Oh, thank you so much.

Speaker 10 (21:26):
My kids are gonna love this.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Thank you, you got it. You can see I hold
four back. Okay, thank you for listening to us. Thank
you when we're gonna play it again.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
It's so interesting is how many stores of the chain
are in, Like Jack in the Box?

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Have we done that one?

Speaker 2 (21:40):
That one?

Speaker 1 (21:40):
What's the next chain? We should do?

Speaker 7 (21:42):
Next one?

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Gonna? Oh my gosh, what do I love it?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
How many taco bells?

Speaker 1 (21:50):
So next week to do? Wherever you are?

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Are how many more sleeps? Maybe Friday?

Speaker 6 (21:56):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
On air? Right, the Seacrest.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Big celebration with Tissaney's man Michael Argentina at Switzerland Advanced
yesterday was the whole fan I know, like was a
massive fans old family dad.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Too, right, big fan Dad was there at our house
and they tried to order food from the Cablo Buenos Aires,
which is an Argentine restaurant I think the Northridge, and
they were not taking orders.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
That place was too busy.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
And they're not No, they're focused on the game and
the people who take the time to come to their establishment.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Basically like if you're not going to come get.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Our second tier, yeah, we don't mean that much to
you if you're not coming to watch the game. So
they beat Egypt three to two goals, three to two.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
A stressful game. Egypt nine am well before.

Speaker 5 (22:47):
The half, I want to say Egypt was up to zero,
so it was stressful.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
It's amazing that you can like.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
I mean, I know when my team plays an American
football college football game, I get I get so worked up.
I don't want people. You know, we do come together
to watch these games. I don't like to watch my
team with people. I don't like steam, I don't. I
am so happy to watch my game of my team
by myself. Otherwise people talk or I feel like I've
got to talk to them. So I'm yeah, I love that.

(23:18):
Let me get to Chew. He's been standing by out
in Huntington Beach. Hey, Chew, we eat. Good morning.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
How are you brother?

Speaker 8 (23:24):
Morning brother, I'm over here by the beach man. I
got my surf for them ready. When I'm here with
my girl and I hope her with some free Gasolina
right now, and she's ready to talk to you.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Ryan's get on hut Her on Sarah Star Ryan, Hey,
good morning, Thank you so much. I mean I never
expect that.

Speaker 10 (23:41):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
We love doing it. I was just doing per war
inside my guest and then and I was like, I's
our friend.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
I was like, oh my goodness, yeah, that so chewy
rolled up gas prices as we know, up up up,
and uh. You know, it's always a question like do
I drive a little further to get a better price
or do I just suck it up and pay a
little bit more because time is worth more than the
drive and the cost of the gas. I mean, it's
a real equation in your head because time is very valuable.

(24:21):
And sometimes you drive in there's lines and the cost
cod lines, et cetera. So you don't even have to think.
Let us just think for you. Put you in to work,
make him do the physical work to fill up that tank.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
It's on us. What are you driving? Truck? Suv?

Speaker 10 (24:36):
Car is like a Chevy Chevy Chevy Chevy.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Okay, where are you going? I'm going all the way
to my warright. Now, where do you work? How far?

Speaker 3 (24:49):
It's like right down the coast to Misa.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
Okay, hunting to beach the coast to Mesa. Get on
that route. We got your gas, shallow, Thank you so
much for coming on.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Kiss you guys, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Okay, take care. I don't know she might stay with
you all day two. I think she's very fired up.

Speaker 8 (25:09):
Yeah, she live live all right, che.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Martinez out in Hunton Beach. He's going to be assigned
all week. I think tomorrow. Do you know where you're
going tomorrow?

Speaker 8 (25:19):
Oh, tomorrow We're going to Santa Anna.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Bro Santa Anna tomorrow morning with free gas on kiss
the back room, Siciny, Tanya myself Ryan here. Uh So
I just think about this while we talk about her.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Her name is Kelsey.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
She's the one that say, hey, you know what I
want to I want to just try something scary. I
want to try something that nobody's done. I want to
break a record. I want to row from California to Hawaii.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Right.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
So she she did make it. She did break a record.
Sysn'tyll tell us about that in a second. But while
she's talking about Tanya, think about what's one thing that
scares you that you would do like this? Like I
don't think this was easy for Kelsey. I think she
was lonely and tired, and think.

Speaker 5 (25:56):
There was parts where she hit crazy waves and battled
rough weather and things like that.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
She wanted to overcome something athletically challenging, mentally challenging.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
So Tany, you think about what it would be for you.
I already know, Okaysney, she made it.

Speaker 5 (26:10):
Okay, so she's twenty six years old, Kelsey Fendler. I
mean when I was twenty six, I couldn't imagine doing
anything like this. I couldn't even go to LaDue by
myself in Hollywood clubs. So it's insane that she did
this in my eyes. She did make history as the
youngest woman and the first American ever to complete.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
The solo journeys. Yeah, and she didn't just finish.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
It, she broke the overall speed record as well, beating
previous times set by both women and men. And the
coolest part, she did document the entire adventure on social media.
Fans followed along as she battled the craziest waves and weather,
endless days and.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Nights at sea.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
So you can even go back on her Instagram or
TikTok and like check all this out.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
And it wasn't just for the record books.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
She did make the trip to raise awareness and support
for Pacific Whale Foundation, proving that this, you know, it
was just a crazy challenge and it was also for
something good as well.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
So she did it.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
She was lonely, she was tired. For anybody that gets
lonely easy. I don't recommend forty four nights on a dinghy,
Yeah no, with just cheerios and pop tarts. I don't
recommend that.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
The thing, what would you call it? It's like a
boat essentially.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
It barely qualifies as a boat size of a floating shoe.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
But it's a high tech boat like. It looks like
it has like an underground. It wasn't like she was
almost crew like underground, but like a little like lower deck,
a lower deck where she slept, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
But this audio here, this is when she first saw land.
Let's listen.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
You can see land over there. That's right there. I
can see it, and it can see me. I can
even make out buildings right now.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
I miss my exit at Culver City sometimes, and I
go there every week. Don't you think there'd be a
few times in the open seat you be like, am
I really going the right way?

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Do I trust my or?

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Like when you sleep, don't you like float a certain direction?

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Yeah? Tony, what would the one scary challenging thing be
for you?

Speaker 3 (28:03):
I really want to do a high Rocks marathon? Okay,
high rocks, Yeah, high rocks. It's like a new workout.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Is that a climb a mountain.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
No, it's like that combine running with like different type
of functional workouts like burpies.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Will it is.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Challenging trained for a very long time.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
For me, it would be marriage or sabbatical. No, was
really funny.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
It's true, it would be hard. Like I think that
would be challenging for me to have a sabbatical. I
was like, I mean, I don't know people haven't, but
I've heard people say they.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Took a sabbatical. I couldn't take a sabbatica.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
One of my friends just took a sabbatical this summer
and I was like, yeah, I can't hear it.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
Going to take away that marriage is part of that.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
Well, I mean, we all think that's predictable, but sabat
will be challenging for me.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
I was thinking about it when I saw Kelsey's accomplishment.
Ryan Seacrest with you on air, Sisaney and Tanya in
the back room of things, moving parts all here, Savannah
on the line in West La Savannah, good.

Speaker 10 (29:05):
Morning, Good morning.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
So you're calling about.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Your friend who wants to be paid back for fireworks purchased.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
What happened?

Speaker 10 (29:15):
Oh yeah, over the fourth of July, one of the
soccer moms invited a bunch of families over for a party.
She like grilled burgers and hot dogs, and all of
us brought a side dish and you know, so we
contributed and it was really fun. The kids swam and
she put on a huge fireworks show. It was really great.

(29:38):
I totally enjoyed it. But the next morning she sent
a venmo request for seventy two dollars per family for
the fireworks. So I'm like, here's the thing. We were
never told that we would be splitting the cost. There
was like a never any kind of group text like Hey,

(30:00):
if everyone chips in, we'll you know, get the fireworksitter right,
you know, or anything like that. She just bought them
and then she just build us afterward.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
Does I'm sure she didn't say during the process of
the event or the evening or the day, at any point, hey,
do you mind if we split some some of this?

Speaker 1 (30:17):
She didn't say any that like a little nod, none
of it.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Does she have a track record of doing things like
this and unannounced?

Speaker 10 (30:25):
No, not as yet. This is just weird and I'm
not alone. Like some of the other moms have questioned
it we're just like, what.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Okay, So are the other moms going to pay or not?
Are you going to protest or pay? There's two options paying, yeah,
like what, I don't know, protest or pay?

Speaker 6 (30:44):
Right.

Speaker 10 (30:45):
I don't know what they're gonna do. I just I
don't want to create drama with someone I'm going to
see every weekend.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
So if you don't want drama, you probably handle it
and move on. But remember you don't accept an imitation
from this person again, because this is the game, this
is the move.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
I'm with you. Make a mental note. I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
I think you settle it if you can, and you
don't go back, because that is not cool.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
It's a bit of sneak. It's a bit tricky, it's
it's deceiving. Do you settle it with a comment? I
would just move on. Is there any comment where you're like, oh,
I didn't know we were going to pay? The comment
silence is the comment? I don't know. I feel like
there just has to be a little bit. So then
I get with the other mothers.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
But if you can settle it, if you can pay
for it, and I would pay and move on instead
of protesting.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
You don't want the drama.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
He said, So good luck and thank you very much,
and do not go back to their places, right, yeah,
you guys.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Fourth eighth, Okay, bye, stressful the eighth of July. What's
with people's awareness of that? You gotta it's fine if
you want to do it, you got to throw it
out there. You're sure, I know. And also if you
host your hosting in my opinion, or.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
You could say, hey, I'll do it in mine, but
you do the fireworks, but you do the food ordered
to do it mine, but you do the cocktail.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Time on air with Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Kiss BTS tickets coming up in just a second if
you want to win those about to take you to
call so I know I can see her already calling,
but hold on for say, we'll start counting the calls
to get to one oh two in just a second.
Is our intern Madison counting the calls? Who's doing the
BTS count?

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Ruby? Next here? In a second? Is it Madison? Jordan?
All right? Jordan, get ready to BTS count to one
oh two? Holding it down. Jordan is on nectar.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
If you haven't heard, uh, she's finding success on nectar.
Another solicit right there, Nectar, Get ready to Count Jordan.
Here we go just a second first though, free gas.
So I was singing about this like it's a tricky equation, right,
cisiny do you drive from Huntington Mets the Mountain Valley
to get a better price of gas? Or is the

(32:54):
drive in the time not worth the hassle to pay
just a little bit more by being convenient, local and facts.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
That's the thing.

Speaker 5 (32:59):
Sometimes I plan my day around the cheapest gas station.
If I know I'm going to be in that area.
It's like I have to get gas when I'm.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
There, fill up, like go for the full tank.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
H You know, the benefit of an early morning job
is that there's no one.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
At the pump early in the morning, when it's dark.
It's very rare.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
Business before you come into work.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
That's chance I get glass at night or women's dark.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
No same.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
I did get a little freaked out. I get a
little freaked out. On the way you're talking out of
my house, I'm gonna see a coyote. Yeah, but it
is true. There are lines.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
I mean Sunday morning early, Saturday morning early, I mean
there are no lines, and you can sort of get
in and out. Chewy Martinez is just showing up at
gas stations.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
This morning in Huntington Beach.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
He approaches people with a big smile so that they
don't feel uncomfortable. And then what do you say to
them to like, what is your first line to them?

Speaker 8 (33:50):
My first line is usually like, Hi, how you doing?
Miss Chewie Martinez from Kiss FM and my man Ryan
Seacrash would love to pay for your gas this morning.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Ah. And then you walk closer and they accept, right,
so it just happened with you?

Speaker 8 (34:06):
Yes, yes, And they usually don't believe me. But then
I gotta show him the vehicle. I got to show
him your credit card proof. I usually show him the
back and forth we have so yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
The Kiss vehicles proof that it's really I saw the
vehicle pulling out this morning at five fifteen when I
was pulling into the garage down here, I was like, bye.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Guys, that was yes, I would you find this morning.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Chete yo man?

Speaker 8 (34:28):
I got my man Kyle here is actually on his
word of the beach to go surfing. His truck is
upe you've got surfboards? He's ready. I hope he takes
me after, but here he is mad Kyle. It what's
up to Ryan?

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Yellowing up?

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Ryan?

Speaker 1 (34:41):
What's up? Kyle?

Speaker 2 (34:42):
So you got a Wednesday morning? You're rolling in your
chuck to the beach to surf a little bit? Is
that the plan?

Speaker 11 (34:49):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Yeah? Absolutely? Do you surf almost every morning? You can?

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (34:55):
Yeah, I like to head over. Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:58):
How long will you surf? What's best time?

Speaker 8 (35:02):
I usually like the surf roun the afternoon?

Speaker 11 (35:05):
I mean, I mean everyone's it's up to the person.
But you know, I like to, uh, but today I'm
going a little earlier, just because I could, you know.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Yeah for sure. All right, Well listen, we'll get you
out of there. You got a truck, so we'll definitely
hook you up.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Trucks.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
SUV's eating that gas. We're gonna fill you up. Good
luck with the surf. What kind of boards you ride on?

Speaker 11 (35:25):
I have a couple, but right now I'm riding this
this sweet red one that I got right on.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Who makes it?

Speaker 11 (35:34):
I have to okay, I you know.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Know any of these brands?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Come on?

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Are you talking like a surfer?

Speaker 7 (35:43):
Ryan?

Speaker 1 (35:43):
I'm not? Does okay make boards?

Speaker 8 (35:47):
I'm new to the hobby.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
I'm new to that. Okay, Yeah, me too?

Speaker 2 (35:51):
All right, Well, good luck, rip curl hang ten bro
thanks for getting the gas with us, and you take care.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Be safe right, Thank you so much.

Speaker 11 (35:59):
Thank you Ryan.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Okay, take care bye bye.

Speaker 8 (36:03):
Are you a surfer? No?

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Yeah, Noah is Tanya and I are surfer.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
I want to surf, but Chewie, if you want to
go with him, I'd love the photos.

Speaker 8 (36:13):
Yes, I'm with it. I'm more I'm more of a
boogie border myself, but okay, got it, I will try it.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
It was soft tech, waveform, FireWire. What's your brand?

Speaker 8 (36:24):
I'm a dukeboard. I've been on a dukeboard.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, I have him.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
Are there's Chewy He's in Hint the beach to Mars
in Santa Anna. We'll talk to you a little bit.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Thank you. Chewie.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Oakley doesn't make surfboards.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
That's why I was asking.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
I was testing Kyle to make sure he's telling me
the truth, obviously checking his work.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
See Christ with you.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
I feel like, I mean, you told us about this
possible was it possibly happening? And now it's happening because
I feel like I do know this story.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yes, okay, no, so I didn't say it was possibly
gonna happen, but I did say when I was reporting
about this toxic mom group drama.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
I said, somebody needs to make this into a TV show.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
So I'm not saying but yes, so she did with Netflix.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
So.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Back in January, Ashley Tizdale wrote this essay about leaving
a toxic mom group. Okay ye, People went wild speculating
which celebrity moms were in it. Mandy Moore, Hillary Duff,
Megan Trainer, they all were named in this skerfuffle.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
They were named in it. No no, no, okay no.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
No, So they weren't named in the essay, but people
were putting the pieces together as to like who is
the part of this mom group, and those were the
names that kind of got so they all like hung
out before correct there was photos of them, and then
the photos just stopped. This story lived on for so long,
like I don't know if you guys remember, but it
just did not quit. Well, it looks like now Ashley
Tisdale is turning the whole thing into a comedy series.

(37:45):
Deadline announced that Ashley is creating a new show called
Toxic Moms at Netflix. It follows asleep deprived new mom
who gets pulled into a click of cool, wealthy moms
and then the group shows its darker side. Ashley is
expected to star in it if it does get picked up.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
But I just feel like I knew that.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
I'm so happy that she's the one with the last laugh.
She's the one that gets the last smile and laugh. Right, Yes,
or this was her plan all along. Maybe maybe.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
She was branding the Toxic Mom's name yes, to make
the series.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
I want to choose to believe that Ashley Tisdale didn't
when she wrote this essay that I don't think she
thought it was going to be what it was, and
then when it turned into this whole thing, I think
she was.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
Just like, I would not turn into anything if you
write something like that, because I don't.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Think she thought people would read into it or like connect.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Really she's an artist, Yes, she is an actress. She
is probably a great writer.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
I don't find I don't.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
I choose to believe that she's not like some crazy
like manipulator mastermind.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Well, I'm glad, she's probably glad you choose that she's
not a crazy manipulator as well. We are grateful, the
whole group is grateful for that.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
I think she trying to make lemonade out of lemons,
like this.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
She like, this whole thing blew up unexpectedly, and now
she's like, well good yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Last laugh and she'll take the check.

Speaker 9 (39:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Also, can't wait to watch, can't wait, I go Land.
Tickets are next. You're on kiss all right?

Speaker 6 (39:14):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Is it ten? Almost?

Speaker 9 (39:16):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Wow, that's it. Sisney's gonna take it for another hour.
Guess what, Tanya, good news. Don't be down. You get
to do it again tomorrow morning. Yay, and then the
next day more so that BTS tickets tomorrow, Ryan's roses tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Take good care, I have a nice Wednesday. It's kiss EVMP.
