Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you, thank you for listening to On
Air with a Ryan Seacrest, because we made it to Friday.
First Friday, we're back full speed. Course, last Friday was
in the wake of New Year's Eve, so it was
a nice kind of like the way New Year's fell,
(00:20):
except for the fact I got the flu. But I
like the way that it fell on a Wednesday. And Sisney,
I have to say Sicney gives sympathy and empathy because
I walked in this morning and she's like, well, how
is it? And I said, it's still not contagious. I'm
not a doctor, but the doctor tells me that because
of how many days I've been taking everything to get
(00:41):
rid of it. But it doesn't just I don't know
what I thought. Maybe it's just a different time, but
I thought, when you get the flu, it's two days.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
No.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Last year I got that flu and it was a
full week. Was it really? Yes? I didn't. I didn't
give you simple because I thought, oh a week, come on.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Well, and you're I'll defend you because it was during
break so it was it was during Christmas and I
was not here.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
So everybody keeps saying to me, what a blessing. What's
a blessing? What a blessing? You got sick after New
Year's right now, over that weekend before the start of
the year. I'm like, or during the start of the
other Why how is that a blessing? Well, it's true.
What if you would have gone sick before New.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Year's Like you like, what would you have done? Would
the show go on? Would you have canceled?
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I would have done it from my bed on a
remote with a little tennis ball on a stick, right
dropping down to the base.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
I think it's almost like your body knowing that you
had this big event and like once you were down,
like you powered through and then I was like, Okay,
you're gonna get.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
You say that they do say that that. Juliann Huff
was telling me a story that she did the Dancing
with the Stars season and then that finale and then
boom she crashed as well as if her body new too.
When you're pushing along, you've just got so does the
virus know I have that job? Like the virus programs itself.
It's like, Oh, you gonna get through that gig and
then we're really gonna actually wanna punish you more because
(02:12):
we held out. I mean, we held out. May We're
gonna give you a double because we held out.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
It has to it has to hold out, because there's
no way you would have been able to do that.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Maybe the adrenaline may overtake everything. But we got sunshine today.
We got sunshine this weekend. Your job is to not
make me laugh because they still have to tickle of
the cough. It's there, and if I go deep on
a breath, I can't. I almost right now, I want
to cough. I'm I'm pushing it down, but I want
to cough so badly right now. Just give everybody the
(02:44):
cough that I've been hearing this whole week. Oh okay,
you don't need to react no more.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
So everyone listening can give Ryan sympathy. D M him,
tell him how sad you are.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Justin d me. By the way, I'm supposed to take
that robots DM. And it tastes good. Oh gosh, they
got a honey flavor. Now, I don't know what you
know about, but they got a new honey. I don't
know it's new, but they got a natural honey flavor. Yeah,
it's as good as honey syrup is. Yeah, that you
(03:20):
got me into it. Thanks, well get it out, just
get it out, all right. It's one of two point
seven becauxcept that it's Ryan Seacrest here. Has anyone here
worked at a fast food place or a you know,
one of the places that do deliveries Ruby, Mikayla, Sophia,
(03:41):
Susanny Mark, John Tara, anybody my nast job? Was that Sonic? Okay,
so that's fast food? Yes, question for you. And I
was just reading an article about ordering pizza. This is
my favorite thing to take out order pick up is pizza.
And I'm thinking about the super Bowl coming up already.
And I don't know why, but they're sending articles about,
(04:01):
you know, what's going to be popular for super Bowl.
When you were closing at your restaurant, was the quality
of things any less? Because you want to get out
of there and rush the last orders.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
I think it may not always be as fresh, just
because it's like stuff that has been sitting there, you know,
the last couple hours, versus like when you're first starting
or when there's a rush and you're forced to kind
of make food quickly.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
I think usually it's it's a lot of what kind
of is left over from the.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Day phone screener in the back room, Jordan right out
of Burbank Kai, literally yesterday out of Burbank. Hi, you
worked at Jersey Mikes. Now, how late was Jersey Mike's open.
I think until seven?
Speaker 3 (04:43):
I think they like you don't late night generally generally
nine nine people.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Okay, yeah, I'm sorry, not all right? So what there
was there when you got a late order? Was there
a rush? Of course? Yeah? Uh so they say Google
trends say that pizza is the most ordered food on
New Year's Day, Super Bowl Sunday, and February fifteenth, the
day after Valentine's Day. And I started thinking that there's
something satisfying about ordering pizza late, like and then I
(05:12):
started questioning, I wonder if it's bad to be the
last guy that orders the pizza at the end of
the day, Like, do not want that pizza? Because I like,
it's still irreverend to order food late sometimes when you can.
That's in my mind because I never do it right.
You'd have I'd have to be really in the mood
to get a late night pizza. I ordered drunk, well
late night pizza or you know, my if I order late,
(05:35):
it's a late night pizza or it's late night cookie
dough edible cookie dough. Those are the two things I
order late for me. It's late night taco bell. Mm hmmm,
No one wants pizza. Everybody wants taco bell. I get it.
We can we can definitely watch the game together. Let's
see February fifteenth, the day after Valentine's Day, very popular
(05:58):
order day.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Why why do you want pizza after Valentine's Day because
you had like a fancy dinner the day before.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Probably Gallentine's Day, like heart shape pizzas.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Okay, oh what and what is Galentine's Day? That is?
It's a Valentine'sday for your girl? Yeah? Oh, and do
you know about Singles Awareness Day? When's that Singles Awareness Day?
I think it's the day before. So Valentine'sda's book ended
by Singles Awareness. They think of Valentine's saying Galentine's Day,
I'm here for it all inclusive and lis it on
(06:27):
the week all weekend. Yeah, it's on the weekend this year,
all right, So start thinking about it because the Super
Bowl's coming fast. Who's going to be in it? Already?
Die off in an invite to a Super Bowl party.
Oh wow, but just with friends.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
You know, and they put what they were gonna serve.
They're gonna serve Chinese food.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
I don't get enough of it.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
I was like, I'm actually intrigued with you guys telling
me what the menu.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I'm running a deficit of chiny I'm down. I've not
had enough. I've not had enough in the last couple
of years. Let's come back with Arnie Granny tickets. You know,
we just should congratulate everybody forgetting into the studio safely
on a daily basis. You can't take that for granted.
Sofia had an issue, our intern you had what was
the mishap that happened under your way in Sofia. I'm
glad you made it in one piece in your here safely.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I'm also glad.
Speaker 6 (07:12):
So every morning I drive in from Riverside, so it's
kind of a far drive. And this morning, when I
was merging from the sixty to the seventy one, it's
a very short merge lane, so I don't have a
lot of time to go, and the car next to
me is going the same speed i am, and it's
going right next to me, and I'm watching the road
get smaller and smaller, and I'm thinking, is he gonna
(07:33):
speed up? Is he gonna slow down? Like what are
we gonna do? Are we gonna crash? And he just
kept going right next to me. So last minute I
had to speed up super duper fast and cut him off.
And then he has the audacity to.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Honk at me. Yeah, like what I mean, you came off.
But it was a point people disappoint, Sofia, this is
the lesson. Not everybody's good. There are more good than bad.
But some people like that person literally was playing with you,
was playing a game with you. It was messy. That
(08:06):
person knew they were playing head games with you, Jedi
mind tricking you to go the exact same parallel speed,
knowing that the road is coming to a funnel and
not let you over. They know they know you're gonna
have to speed up and cut them off. They just
can't wait to be mean. It's like they had to
be mean on the way in.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
Should I have slowed down like was I in the ross?
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yes, you probably should have slowed it. I mean I don't,
just as a safe driver advocate anytime you speed up
and go in front of somebody. It's probably a little
more dangerous than backing off and just smoothly getting behind them,
isn't he I don't know. I would have just spat.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
When you go on the on wrap, you have you,
I speed and then I go to a little I
don't like linger and wait for my turn to get
into the freeway.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I look for opportunities to let people in, and then
I judge them because I've let you in. I want
to wave, bro like, not just just come on in
and move on. I need a wave that I can
see through the glass back window. A big wave like
you're in a parade kind of wave, like you are
the queen of the parade, the king of the parade, whatever.
(09:11):
I want a big wave and then I feel good.
There is a way to flip this around. Be the
person that lets people do things and then judge them.
Don't judge them until they've if they've not thanked you.
Oh that's a real day.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I don't get a wave or a peace sign. I
amazing you war my day.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Yeah. And if you're in an suv, unroll the window.
Wave outside that thing nice and big? Why you can
see it? Because I want to I want to be
acknowledged that I was doing a good deed. There. Did
that ruin your morning? Did that like get like get
to you?
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Because I I would have I when someone honks at me,
I get so offended and I'm just like and it
really like I have to shake myself to get out
of it.
Speaker 6 (09:55):
Yeah, it kind of ruined my morning because it's like
in the beginning of my drive and I had to
drive the rest of the way both hands on the wheels.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
And you're like, guys, don't let other people control your emotion.
Let it. These are people you don't even know. Let
them do it. It's their problem. Or coming back with
sense that arouse you? I can't wait?
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Why?
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Well, how else you may say it? People sense? People
like it's case. I have a quote of the day.
I'm a I'm a cologne guy. I have two cents.
I spray him together in a little cloud and I
walk through it every morning. System he knows. Tanya's out.
She doesn't like it. Systney, you like it? I love sense? Yeah,
I like sense too. I'll smell a guy and I
(10:39):
have no problem asking him what that is? And people, well,
who does what? Are you complimented? That puts a sent
on like you want someone to go that smells good
on your body. I love telling people what my sense is.
So if you meet a guy like Skeletores he wear
a cologne, No he doesn't, Okay, all right, so clearly
you want him to. By the way he said, no,
(11:01):
certain sense lead directly to uh ex good things. Good things,
scientists say. Now for men, this is like the let
me put the hair on your form will stand up,
That's what they're saying. So I say a certain sense
will get hair on forum to go up if you
(11:22):
have hair on your forum. For men, I feel the
word of arousal when I say it feels weird. So
for men, I guess we like the smell of pumpkin pie. Okay, well,
like not on a woman. I don't know. Maybe I've
never smelled a woman. I cannot popcorn flavor on. For women,
(11:47):
I guess you like lavender, liquorice, and cucumber, so it's
not necessarily a scent you might wear on one's body.
But lavender, liquorice, and cucumber are things that I guess
put you in the right headspace.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
I do love the sense of cucumber, but I like
it for me like, you know, like a cucumber melon.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Like a body Yeah, like a body wash or something
like that.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
When Michael uses my body wash, it actually turns me off.
I'm just like, now you smell like me, like you
smell like a girl.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
See. I like putting women's fragrances on because we smell
like you and you guys smell good to us. I
know he needs to wear like his manly, musky body wash.
Today's quote, once you put up with, you end up with,
so put it down. Oh yeah, it's all right. Bruno
Mars announce he's touring. I got new music from Bruno
(12:39):
coming up next. Bruno Ar's back. I mean you knew
Bruno and Gaga had that track of the Year. We
got new music from just Bruno, nex Becus FM, Sysney Headlines,
Kiss FM headlines Well.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
A mechanical issue forced sixty passengers on the Disneyland Montail
to evacuate last night, using a letter from the Anaheim
Fire Department. HI wind warning will remain in place through
one pm tomorrow for the San Gabriel Mountains and the
fourteen Freeway Corridor. California and four other states have sued
the White House for freezing billions in federal aid for
childcare and low income programs, and LA will host the
(13:15):
twenty twenty six NBA All Star Game on February fifteenth.
The game itself will be held at Inglewood's into A
Dome and the LA Convention Center hosting other events.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Let me grab Lisa on the phone. Here, Hi, Lisa,
good morning. It's Ryan, Hi Ciciny Hi, and our intern
Sophia is here as well. How are you doing.
Speaker 7 (13:32):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 8 (13:33):
I'm a little nervous.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Okay, Well, don't be in nervous. We want to ease
that feeling. So I just want well, here's what I know.
Your mom is asking you to change your unborn baby's name.
Speaker 7 (13:47):
Yes, why it's a name. And by the way, it's
a name I've had in my mind for years. I mean,
I had a great camp for name this name named Hannah.
I've just always loved that name, and like I had
a baby doll named Haannah, like just it's been the best.
And she my mom took me aside and said basically
(14:09):
that my dad had had an affair with someone named Hannah.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Oh oh, so like years ago.
Speaker 7 (14:17):
Yeah, and I didn't know about it.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
You didn't know about the affair at all to start.
Speaker 7 (14:21):
There, no, no, and now it's like awkward, and of
course my mom just she's said please, like like begging me,
please don't use this name.
Speaker 8 (14:32):
But we've we've already ordered.
Speaker 7 (14:34):
Stuff, we did on it. It's like to us, she's Hannah.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
Oh my gosh, I don't know what I would need.
I think this is your mom's like issue because I
don't look, I'm to speak way out of school, but
just my quick on this is maybe she should have
told you sooner about this. Now that she's telling you,
now you didn't know when you the universe got you
(14:58):
to the name Hannah, and it's kind of done because
this is what you guys decided by. And next baby,
don't tell anybody the name till that baby. They'll tilt
on the birth certificate. But the next baby, ask your
mom if there were any more affairs. More importantly, I
(15:19):
think your mom's going to get over it.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
I think that when she sees that baby, that baby
is going to be Hannah, and she's not going to
think about the mistress or the past or whatever, and
it's going to reset the clock.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
What you should do is not have a conversation much
more about this. People just get into the world and
then the beauty will take over. Trust as Derek and.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
Haley Haley, congratulations every Carie, such a thank you for listening.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Good luck, you got this. You're on the right track
all right. I'm sorry about the issue with your dad. Wow. Okay, bye, Yeah,
that is a great name. Congratulations Derek and Haley, every
caprism La Sarafem Spaghetti. Everybody's buzzing about that song around
the globe. Let's bring in Yunjin from Lasarafem. That song
(16:09):
Spaghetti featuring j Hope A BTS. It's out now everywhere
Kiss Los Angeles. On New Year's Eve, I got a
chance to meet Lasarafem. They were out there. They were
dressed like it was July fourth, but it was cold.
You ingin, good morning, Thanks for coming on.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
Oh my gosh, hello, good morning.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Good morning. So you are you in South Korea? Now?
Speaker 5 (16:33):
Yes, yes, I'm in soul right now.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
All right, Well, thank you for being on New Year's
Rocking Eve with us. I was telling Siciny that you know,
everyone loves your performance, and you guys were it was
the windshill was like eighteen degrees when you were performing
Did you even feel it?
Speaker 5 (16:51):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (16:52):
I told you on air that we were fine, but
we were not fine.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
No, I could see like goosebumps. You were so cold, but.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Like the the adrenaline kept us warm. So I think
it was just like the five minutes before performing it
was really cold, and then while actually moving it was fine.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
But we were We had such a good.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Time, she says to me Yunjin here from the seraphim.
She says to me Ryan, would you just pick your
teeth like you're picking food out of your teeth? Thrill
fast from your little TikTok in?
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, thank you for doing that with us.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Was of course that was on the spot. But and
you should know that when when when you get a
chance to meet them, kind of you said, when you
come to America, you're in charge. You're kind of the
boss of everywhere.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
When we when we go to the States, I'm kind
of like I've become the like everybody's like, oh, like,
what what should we do here?
Speaker 5 (17:47):
What should we do here?
Speaker 2 (17:47):
And then they send me stuff to like translate to
English like stuff they want to.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Say, Yeah, I love that. Where were you You were
raised in Upstate New York?
Speaker 5 (17:58):
Right here yeah, yeah, I was. I grew up in Albany.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
All right, So let's say I'm growing up in Albany
or Anaheim, and you know, somebody wants to do something
like what you did. How did you end up in
La Seraphim?
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Oh my god, honestly, I don't really know how I
got here either.
Speaker 5 (18:18):
I think I had a very wild ride.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
I started off as a trainee, so I did an audition,
and I hopped around like a few labels, and then
he ended up at the label that I am right now.
I actually like gave up halfway and I almost went
to school in the States, and then he came back
just to join the group. So it was really just
a lot of stars aligning and just me finding my place.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
I guess, well, you guys are awesome. I really loved
meeting you and meeting all of y'all and then watching
that performance. Did you hear good things afterwards after you
performed in the middle of that craziness?
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Oh my gosh, it was. You know a lot of
people also tuned in from Korea, which was really cool
to see. We were really really excited to perform there.
And you know, I grew up watching the show before
I even dreamt of becoming a singer, so it felt
really surreal to be even there.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
And you know, every year we do.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
This thing where we jumped together at midnight before the
new year starts. And the fact that we were able
to do that with everybody there, I was thanks to read.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Aura and we were all together.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
It was crazy, but we did it in Times Square,
which made it really special.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
So so fun here. I love that ingin from Lasara
Fim is here. You had a big year last year.
It looks like an even bigger twenty six for all
of you.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yes, oh my gosh, twenty twenty six were We have
a lot of fun things in store. We're working on
new music. We're hoping to meet more of our fear
nots our fans all around the globe.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
So yeah, I hope. I think. I think performing on
Rocking You really kicked our year off very well.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
So we're really thankful to have had that as our
first performance of the year.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Well, when you get to l A, come by, kiss
f M and come and say hi to all of
us in person. Would love to see you again, Oh.
Speaker 5 (20:20):

Speaker 1 (20:25):

You guys have the best day.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
It's a dream to be in a K pop group,
even for us, for us to be in a K
pop roup, Yeah, it's a dream.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
I would be a dream. I feel like I would
crush it. Oh, you probably would be like probably, let's go.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
I got married and I got Leslie, two contestants for
the match game this morning, marrying Montclair. Good morning, good morning,
good morning, Good morning everyone. Happy New Year, New Year.
All right, So listen, I keep telling everybody we're gonna
(21:33):
stop saying it, But then I get sucked in because
it sounds so good when you say it that I'm
gonna say it back.
Speaker 8 (21:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
When everyone calls in and is still saying happy New Year,
we can't not say it back. I agree. It's like
if you a mean person, if somebody said, yeah.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
Happy one week into the new year.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
All right, let's go. Tickets to go see are in
the Grande we're gonna play one at a time. Marry
your first. We're gonna give you a phrase with a
blank in it. You got to think of what the
panel might put in that blank. So it's like the
most common word to go with the word we give you.
So yours is micro blank. How hard is that? Micro?
I don't even know micro So think about Mary, what
(22:16):
would go with micro and sis Esia, Ruby, Michaila to
the panel, they're doing it as well. So Mary, what'd
you say?
Speaker 8 (22:25):
Microphone?
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (22:27):
I didn't think about that, And it is right in
front of me.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Okay, good one, that's my girl microphone.
Speaker 5 (22:36):
All right.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
And now it is Sophia in turn microscope. Okay, I
didn't think of that one.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
And now Ruby, I said microscope too, And I also
said microscope.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
I didn't think of microphone. All science freaking one. Okay,
now this is yours. I was thinking microfish. But no
one's good to think of micro plating. At first, I
was like, well, no one's gonna guess that I thought
that I did. I thought microplating. Yeah, we could have
played together, would have won. Don't you want to do that?
(23:13):
Thinks micro plating with saw? All right? Leslie yours is
ce blank s e a blank see blank. Hmmm, gotta
get two to win one time. Here we go, all right, leslie,
what you say? See what.
Speaker 8 (23:33):
Sea lion?
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Sea lion? Yep. I've been called out a few times. Okay,
got this isn't horse, sea horse, Sophia, sea lion, sea star,
sea star, ruby c se turtle. See what other creatures
of the maritime world are there? Mi kayla? I said seashell?
(23:56):
Mary wins that one. Congratulations Mary, thank you, thank you
for listening. Going to see Ari on a grande. Thank you,
not a single Seacrest Happy on air with Ryan Seacrest.
(24:25):
Your music is cyclical, right, it's it goes in cycles.
You've got artists back in the day, boy bands everywhere.
Then we went I you know, singer songwriter. You got
the d M the era era. Then you got your
Aris Sabrina jamor give you. Yeah, you got that going on.
(24:50):
And during all of it, there are these lyrical trends
that creep up on you, but we don't realize it
sometimes until someone points them out. Yeah, where they circulate virally.
And you did this a while back about songs in
the twenty tens that had nan nah in them. So
many songs said nan nah yeah, like no no na
na nana, or like the Rihanna song. Yeah. So another
(25:12):
very common nana has been discovered. The who right the woe?
Who knew? There were so many woes in the twenty tens.
I don't think about this. We played these songs all
the time and it doesn't dawn on me. Oh that's
another song with a woe, and not even all the
time like in those years.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
It was like year after year after year, you know,
so twenty eleven, twenty twelve, twenty thirteen, call it.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
This lyric was in all these songs. So these are
all the woes put together. Justin Bieber did it in
this track your Baby?
Speaker 6 (25:41):
Oh oh.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
I think it's like filler lyrics until they realize what
lyric they're gonna use and they're like, I just leave
it in.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
It sounds pretty good that romans all right, this is
in twenty ten. There are walls everywhere. Do you think
they have any idea that because I don't think they
do when they're putting these together that they're in so
(26:14):
many games. Wow, who's that is that? Britty Spears? Yeah?
I think is Kesha? Well, there's a twist on it.
There's a twist on a hey this one see taking
(26:35):
ownership before their own style of so different than that
justin bieber one, Alicia, it's crazy to them. I don't know.
How do you not know? There's so many wall always
(26:55):
on the chart. These are all in the twenty ten
this one too. I'm telling you.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
It has to be just filler sounds that these artists
do when they're writing these songs. They have their lyrics,
they have their chorus, but they don't know what that
part's going to be, so they just will oh it
and then they just leave.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Why why not? Wha was in the nineties? Why waw
wall right now?
Speaker 3 (27:19):
We just stuck specifically to the twenty tens. You should
then kind of have like Charlie Puthon or something like that.
We should ask him if this is a thing I
feel like, keep it now?
Speaker 1 (27:28):
He would probably. That was just fun. One of two
point seven Kiss FM. Mikayla's dating Sophia is dating. I
can't date till I get rid of the flu bee.
Yeah so soon. Yeah, I'm not. I'm not not. I
was twining with I think you have socialized fu a whatever.
(27:48):
I can't remember it clogs your memory. I think the
b is like nausea. Oh yeah, I have a thanks
for remembering that. You know, it's all cloudy when you
have the flu. But I'm not doing any socializing this weekend. Again.
That's two weekends and no socialize, no friends, no nothing
because of the flu. Oh I'm sure you're happy about that. Now.
I'd like to get out and find some love. Yeah,
but you're probably like, oh, I got the flu. Looks
(28:09):
like I gotta just stay in with Georgia. No, I
want to find someone this year, come on plenty. Anyway,
those are a searching. This is called the brunch theory test.
What is it? This is what you put somebody through
at the beginning.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Yes, because when it comes down to like finding the
one or somebody you want to be with, you want
them to be themselves. You want it to be easy
at the beginning, like right and needs to just work
and blend. So the brunch table theory is that you
basically try to spot all the green flags of comfort
and kindness if they can hold their own at a
brunch with like your friends of you know, mixed backgrounds
(28:43):
and like you know, this is my friend from high
school and this is my friend from college, and like
we can all get along and they just mesh right
into that brunch table and it's effortless. Then that is
a clear sign that this is a keeper, a lifer,
somebody that you should invest your time in.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
But it's got to be not brunch just with them,
then it's got to be brunch with a cast of
people in your life. Yes exactly.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
I mean not like necessarily your siblings and your parents
any more like your friends. I think if they can
just get along with your friends right out the gate,
like that is a huge green flag.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
And this actually worked for me. I didn't even know
that I was doing it.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
It wasn't a brunch table, but it was a dinner table.
My blind date with Michael was supposed to be a
double date with my sister and her husband. She ended
up inviting like a group of her friends. She told
me to invite a friend. She told Michael to bring
a friend, and ended up being ten people and Michael
held his own in front of all these strangers.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
And it was a huge turn on for me, and
I was like, I do this all the time. I mean,
it worked out for well, you're a great You're a
great I on a brunch table. Well, no, I bring
people into friend groups fast. I don't wait around. I
usually bring them because I also look at like there
were many, so many units of socializing. So it's like
(29:51):
if I meet someone on a Friday and I got
plans with my friends on the Saturday, I merge it.
I say here, you're gonna meet everybody fast, like people
have gone. I would meet everybody fat. They meet my
best friends sometimes in the same day. That is wild.
But you know what if you know you know, well, no,
I don't know. I'm just trying to consolidate the time
that I've got to spend with people that I'm trying
(30:13):
to date and that I'm friends with. Sophia, Are you
gonna put skeletor this new guy that you met on
Halloween's skeletoring and put him through the test.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
I'm gonna try, but I'm kind of getting vibes that
he would be a third wheel with.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
All my friends.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
That's not a good sign.
Speaker 6 (30:28):
But maybe it's just because he would be shy. I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
My suggestion is anything you think is already gonna be
a problem, avoid the test. You don't want a problem
everything's going so well, so don't put him into a
situation where he's gonna fail. Yeah, I don't want the answer,
don't get me. That's right, kick the can. It's kiss
Pay your bills is coming back on Monday. I need

It, yeah do you mind IF i? Do do you
not get why we are?
Speaker 8 (32:45):
CONFUSED i, UNDERSTAND i, mean, okay but this it gets.
Worse and not only WAS i sitting there in regret
for telling, him you know that he could, go and
then realizing that meant THAT i was sitting alone On
New Year's eve by. Myself but he went and got
super drunk at our friend's, party AND i saw all
of these photos of him being the absolute life of the,
(33:09):
party AND i just got.
