Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Thank you for listening to us.
Speaker 1 (00:03):
Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Seacrest.
Speaker 1 (00:04):
On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Kiss.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Our role is to make it just a little easier
for you on a Tuesday. We can't physically relieve the tension.
We can't physically press your pressure points to get rid
of the pain, but we can hopefully make you drift
into a space of not remembering everything that stresses you out.
(00:32):
That's basically what I put in the doctor's box when
it says occupation. I'm like, distractor. I'm a professional distractor.
Allow me to distract you from anything that might be
giving you pain.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
That's what Disney does.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yeah, they sure do.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Disney's the distractor, right? They make you feel good. We're
trying to be the junior version of make you feel good.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
You know what's going to make you feel good?
Speaker 2 (00:57):
I can't wait to hear it.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
I started doing this three days ago. So let's see
how long it lasts. So she's an expert now. I'm
trying to do it every.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
LARPing. LARPing. Put a tennis ball on my bum and
roll around on the floor with it.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Do you see how you're the LARPer of the group?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Is that what it is?
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Laying down with my feet up against the wall.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
For 15 minutes every single night.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
You told me about this.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
No, this is new. I've never done this before.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
No, you did tell me about this. Then someone else
in my life told me about this. Yes, it's a
lymphatic drain. I know all about it.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I can't do it for 15 minutes. I lose circulation.
Speaker 5 (01:31):
No, it's just when you're watching your Sterling Point at
the end of the day.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Can I fix your shirt?
Speaker 2 (01:36):
What's wrong with my shirt?
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Like your collar. Can I just, like that, just put, yeah,
that's better. That's better. No, we don't need to unbutton it.
I don't want to unbutton. That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
It's going to be hot.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Nobody asked for that.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
It's going to be hot today. I wore this today
because it's going to be hot.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Wait, Ryan, your chest looks incredible.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
Oh, come on.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Is that what you really wanted?
Speaker 1 (01:55):
We did not ask you to unbutton your shirt. I
meant just the flutter. Oh, now my arms come out.
You know what you're giving me? You're giving Gaston from
Beauty and the Beast vibes.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Gaston? I'm giving Gaston? Fantastic. Ruby, who was that other
character I was giving at one point that was animated?
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Oh, the frog with the glasses. The one with the
glasses from Monsters, Inc.
Speaker 7 (02:17):
Right?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Oh, that's an old lady.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
But now I'm giving Gaston. This is my Gaston-er. Now,
I wore a button-down today because it's going to be hot.
So later this afternoon when I'm not around y'alls, when
I leave work, I'm going to pop that next button
open when I run my errands.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
When are you going to wear the tank tops into work?
I love the tank top over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
You know what? If you remind me tonight, I will
do it tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Permission to text after work hours?
Speaker 8 (02:39):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Granted.
Speaker 9 (02:41):
What?
Speaker 2 (02:41):
No, I'll wear a tank top with a shirt over it.
You know, that look. What about my tank top are
you talking about?
Speaker 5 (02:47):
The one you posted over the weekend, your dinner for two.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, dinner for two.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
And then all the food.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
I was like, that's a lot of ravioli.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
I was cooking dinner. I wanted to make dinner. I
like a romantic night. I like to shop.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, let's talk about it. I'm glad that you're in
a romance era right now.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
You know, I was just riding my bike over the
weekend and I was thinking about romance. I love romance.
I am a romance addict. You know, that is my
dress up tank top. That's my formal tank top.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
And your arms are like looking good.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
You guys are not good for me. This is too good.
You're going to, this is so good. I don't want
to come back tomorrow and have it be less good.
Thank you. And thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Happy Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Wow. Mark, whatever you told them about today's show. Thank you.
My pleasure. Whatever, however you motivated them today. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
I really want to talk about.
Speaker 5 (03:31):
The dinner for two.
Speaker 10 (03:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
It's dinner for two. That's a lot. What would you
like to know?
Speaker 7 (03:35):
You and..
Speaker 2 (03:35):
And there was so much different food. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
We had different food. That's right. Because I ask... Here's
how I date. If you come over and I want
to make dinner, I ask for your preferences. What do
you like? What do you not like? I might like cilantro.
You may not. I will make cilantro for mine, not
on yours. I'm a make it to order kind of guy.
I'm the bear of dating.
Speaker 10 (03:57):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
I'm basically carmy. Is it carmy? I don't know his name.
Speaker 8 (04:02):
Carmy?
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Carmy.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah. I'm carmy.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
So thank you. Gosh, you guys are amazing. Have I
told you how much I love you both?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Oh, that's cute.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
There we are.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
All right. It's going to be hot.
Speaker 10 (04:17):
90s, 105.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
I knew it.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
I knew it. I knew you.
Speaker 10 (04:19):
102.7.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
It's Kiss of MLA. Seacrest. Sisney and Tanya. I'm here
to learn. I'm a sponge. My two life coaches, Sisney
and Tanya. Can you imagine the blessing of having two
life coaches named Sisney and Tanya educate you on the
Game of life, relationship, love, pursuit of happiness. Ruby, I
(04:41):
want to bring you in on this because I'm not
quite sure I understand. And my life coaches may be
able to sift through it with clarity. What did you
just say during the I knew it, I love you,
I knew you song?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
I was just curious.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
If you hooked up with your friend's sibling in the past,
should you tell your current partner?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
My friend's sibling.
Speaker 9 (05:02):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Okay, let me think this through. So who's your friend?
Speaker 1 (05:05):
So like, no, let's say Kurt.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
If Kurt has a sister, you hooked.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
Up with her and your new dinner for two gal,
you're all at a barbecue and Kurt brings his sister.
Do you tell your new dinner for two girl that
you hooked up with Kurt's sister?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, that there was history there or something.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
No.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Right?
Speaker 2 (05:27):
No, I do not.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Especially not in that moment.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
No, not in that moment. Why would you ever do that?
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I feel like you absolutely should.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Well, you don't know the way to handle this then.
The appropriate thing to do is to be respectful and kind,
but not flirty or act like with a wink, there's
history there. No, no acknowledgement of history. Don't want to
talk about history with anybody with your current. You don't
bring that up.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Oh, you're one of those. So you would never mention it.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
No, I wouldn't need to mention it. Why? Why would
you mention it? I wouldn't want her to mention it either.
I will tell you, one time in a last relationship,
I went on vacation.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
The ice went. Feels like it was a long time ago.
I mean, now that I have to really think about it,
he leaned back, too.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
This was a long time ago.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I went on vacation to this hotel and walked into
the hotel bar, and it was just this other couple,
and I was with my new person.
Speaker 9 (06:22):
Uh-huh.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
And someone had dated was also there with the new person.
And I did tell my new person that I did
date that person because we were standing in the bar
together and I had to introduce everybody. But it was
so awkward for me and her dude. And I was like,
I didn't really like her dude. But I can't judge.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
All you do is judge other men. But here's the problem.
Here's the problem. What's the problem?
Speaker 5 (06:47):
If New Girl finds out that you had a thing
with Kurt's sister and you didn't tell her.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Kurt doesn't have a sister. Whatever, pretend.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Imaginary.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
If she finds out that later, she's going to be
upset that you never told her. She's going to be like,
I've just lived these last however many months not knowing
that and I feel.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Like a fool.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
I don't date anyone like that. So, Tanya, you're welcome.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
That was the best response I've ever heard.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Boom. Dropped the mic on that.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Yeah, that was honestly iconic.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I hate that I made you love me. Tarana Grande
on LA's number one hit music station, 102.7. Kiss FM,
Ryan Seacrest here. And coming up in a few minutes,
you will sleep better if you sleep with doing this.
Sleep doing this, actually. You'll sleep better. I'm here to
tell you about it. What I'm very excited about today's quote, too.
(07:41):
It's pretty strong. You might want to jot it down.
I have a feeling you'll be able to use it
at some point this week. Tanya has a trending report.
Before you get into this, this is a very sad story.
This is still a very sensitive story. I had met
her over the years and found her to be just
wonderfully lovely and talented. I was heartbroken to hear of
(08:05):
Hayden's passing.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
As were so many people. And she had a lot
of fans, a lot of fans, a lot of people
loved Hayden.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
But her passing has sparked a major conversation around women's health,
which I think is super, super, super important. And this
has been all over my feeds.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Let's break this down. Hayden Panettiere and something that was
in her memoir.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
So she was the face of Neutrogena from 2005 to 2015.
And then back in 2015, she went on this little
show called Live with Kelly and Michael and opened up
about her postpartum depression. And right after she walked off
that stage, Neutrogena wanted to basically fire her. Her agent
bought her some time, but once that contract was up,
they did not renew it. So she wrote about it
(08:47):
in her memoir. This is me, a reckoning. She said,
Neutrogena canceled my longstanding contract, and it was yet another
blow in a year. had given almost nothing else. And
so fans are really just calling out for a boycott.
And Neutrogena has responded, saying that they're deeply saddened by
her death, that they made her feel unsupported. They also
announced a significant investment towards supporting women dealing with postpartum issues.
(09:10):
But I think about how much this conversation around postpartum
depression has changed since 2015. I think a lot more
women are speaking out about it now these days. But
back then, women weren't opening up and talking about it.
And this is something that affects so many women and
i just i'm i'm happy that this is starting to
create even more of a bigger conversation about how serious
(09:31):
these things are and how women are scared to speak
up because of things like this that happen to hayden
you know what i mean.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
So this is wrong it's so wrong and it's so
random like why would you cancel somebody for that reason you.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Know back in 20 i just i feel like it
was so different back then there was there was shame
around it about that you dealt with postpartum depression.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
Because you had to take like, you know, antidepressant pills.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Or something like that.
Speaker 11 (09:55):
Yes. yes.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
And then having a baby, you're supposed to be happy
and joyous.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
And so..
Speaker 2 (10:00):
I mean, it's a shame this is being litigated after
her death where she couldn't, hasn't had the opportunity to
talk about it.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, right.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
She wrote about it, but not to talk about it. However,
things come to mind like, wow, it's shocking. I read
some of the responses that people had about this and
so many people are right by how they were up
in arms and reacted about it. But here's the thing
with any brand, you know, human beings, you, the brand
who worked for the brand, you're human beings, any brand.
I'm not talking about just that brand, but any brand,
(10:29):
when you've got a human being representing your brand, you've
got these morality clauses. There are certain things that should
be in there and maybe certain things that shouldn't be
in there. If that was in there, that shouldn't be
in there.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Right.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
And you know, Brands want to talk about fitness and
wellness and longevity and beauty and health and all that stuff.
You got to be able to talk about vulnerability too.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
And if you want to have vulnerability be something that
your spokesperson can speak about, that's going to be a
better spokesperson anyway.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
That is relatable. Everybody's got a vulnerability that they may
not feel most comfortable always talking about. You do.
Speaker 11 (11:08):
We do.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Of course.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
That's the thing I keep thinking about, but I don't
like this being talked about without her being able to
be here.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
No, but it is, I think, in her honor, a
great conversation that is now being had and brought to light.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
It shouldn't even be a conversation, should it?
Speaker 8 (11:24):
That's true.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
It shouldn't even be one. All right, we're taking a break.
We're coming back here next at Kiss FM. I have
your quotes of the day, which I think you might
want to use this week. That's Olivia Dean, 102.7, Kiss FM,
Los Angeles. All right, 720, it's a second date update.
They showed up for their first date in matching outfits,
and it all went wrong from there. First, Sisney has
(11:45):
the headlines. Kiss FM headlines with Sisney.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Well, we are in it.
Speaker 6 (11:49):
Triple-digit heat and gusty winds have put us in a
red flag warning from 10 a.m.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
This morning until 3 p.m.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Friday.
Speaker 6 (11:58):
Disneyland is breaking ground on a new parking structure and
transportation hub that will add thousands of spaces and help
make parking and traffic flow.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
A little easier for guests.
Speaker 6 (12:09):
The company responsible for the Garden Grove hazmat scare earlier
this year, which forced evacuations of 50,000 people, announced a
$ 100 million compensation fund.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
And one of L.A. 's first air.
Speaker 6 (12:22):
Taxis was unveiled at L.A. Live yesterday, where a new
vertiport is planned to be up and running in time
for the 2028 Olympics.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Olivia Rodrigo on Kiss. Morning.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Morning.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
So I found myself using my voice dictation a lot
now on my phone. I know, I noticed that. Yeah, well,
I also, when I send all of y'all a text,
it's now voice dictated. So I've hit that little button
and I talk into the phone. Well, my guy, my girl,
whatever is inside my phone doesn't hear well. So my
(13:05):
phone has a hearing issue. So now when, you know,
cause I would sit in a place, a public place
or on a bench and be like, uh, Tanya and Susan,
you have an idea for tomorrow. And, uh, this is it.
And then I was at the end. I always say,
and sorry for any typos. This has been dictated. I
say that. That's how you do it.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
But he's so mumbly. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Well, my, no, my phone just can't hear. So now
when I send a voice note, I have to speak
like this in public. So I'm speaking loudly. I'm yelling
into my phone.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
That happens with my Google home, but it defeats the
purpose of me doing it.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Doing it because i'm type it out you got two
choices no no my doctor says stop typing is your
doctor not told you that why madness oh no yeah
and that is causing a lot of issues in people's
fingers and wrists and over time carpal tunnel bad well
that and worse it also it's a ripple effect what's
worse well it gets up to your elbow and it
(13:59):
gets into your arms and your shoulders i mean i'm
just let let me tell you now i know typing.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Well what Like on our keyboards too?
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Stop it all. If you go to Silicon Valley and
you talk to the smart thinkers there, they don't type.
They'll tell you right now, we stop typing. Matter of fact,
they're inventing necklaces that you just talk into.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
I believe you.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Stop your typing. You need to talk. The thing is,
I don't know if it's my phone or me. My
phone can't hear.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
No, I think you've ticked the L on this one.
It's definitely you.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
But when I speak like this into it, it does
type it correctly. And then I get upset with it.
I'm like, no. And then it records that.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
I hate when that happens. Cancel, cancel.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
And then it records that. Why does that irk me
like no other thing on the planet? Even my chat GPT,
if it's thinking, I'm like, hurry up, bro.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
You're AI.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
How are you taking so long? I'm going to Claude.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Exactly, but then Claude.
Speaker 6 (15:01):
Just doesn't hit the same way as Chad sometimes.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
I have to train my Claude, but I tell Chad
I'm over it.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Exactly, my Claude's not trained.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I tell Chad I'm going to Claude. See how that feels.
How do you like my absence, Chad?
Speaker 1 (15:15):
The fact that this is a conversation is just so 2026.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
I want Chad to be envious of my Claude.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah, I'm with you. I might do the same thing.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, and see if it gets better.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
I can't wait to try it later.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Oh, the Dodgers are on a six-game streak. 2.7 is
Kiss FM. Time for our second date update. My advice,
this is my advice. Don't call us. My advice is
if somebody goes out with you and don't want to
go out with you again, let it go. It's just,
you got to move on. Let it go. You don't
need to know why. It's not you. Don't blame yourself.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
No, but sometimes it is you and it is nice
to know why because then you don't make the same
mistake again.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
You need to know why so that you can move
on and let go and have peace and closure.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
This is because you.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Guys live in a world of sums. I'm a, it's not,
is it? like a zero sum game. I don't care.
I just want to, if you, if you don't want
to go out again, I don't, I really don't want
to know. I just want to move on. I don't
want to waste my energy, my time, burn calories, thinking
about it.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
You don't want to burn calories.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Well, you know what I mean? Like burn calories, like time.
Speaker 10 (16:17):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Jasmine is on the line here. Good morning, Jasmine. Thanks
for reaching out in Pasadena. So you met this guy
on a first date and you were wearing matching outfits. Basically.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
Yep.
Speaker 12 (16:28):
Uh, we met on Bumble and he asked me out
for a traditional dinner and a movie, which, you know,
I liked because I feel like drinks is like really noncommittal. Um,
so yeah, we went to Celestino for dinner and then
we walked over to the landmark and saw the Odyssey,
(16:49):
which like wasn't my cup of tea, but it's fine.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Um, How?
Speaker 3 (16:54):
What?
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Okay, keep going. Just get me to the date. What
were you wearing?
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (16:58):
What was I wearing?
Speaker 12 (16:59):
Something green.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
You said matching outfits.
Speaker 11 (17:04):
What was he wearing?
Speaker 10 (17:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (17:07):
He was wearing, like, another shirt that was green, and
we both wore blue jeans.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
So it was.
Speaker 11 (17:13):
Cute, you know?
Speaker 12 (17:14):
Like, we held hands.
Speaker 11 (17:16):
It was really nice.
Speaker 12 (17:17):
But after the movie, he just, like, walked me back
to my car, and that was it.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
And then did anybody text anybody after?
Speaker 11 (17:26):
You know, he is responding to my text, but he's
not asking me out again.
Speaker 10 (17:34):
So..
Speaker 11 (17:34):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (17:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (17:36):
It's not a total loss.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
You're still engaged in contact.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
That's a good sign.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (17:44):
I mean, it feels like he's not interested and, you know,
I think... Yeah, I am hinting here and there that
I'd like to go out again, but.
Speaker 12 (17:58):
He's just not.
Speaker 8 (18:00):
Taking the bait at all.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
What about this? How about you send a text saying, hey,
I'd love to see you again. If not, no worries,
no pressure.
Speaker 12 (18:06):
I like that.
Speaker 11 (18:10):
Yeah, I guess I could do that.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Why do you like the guy?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Why do you want to go out with him again?
Why are we here? Tell me what you want me
to do.
Speaker 12 (18:19):
Um, I would just like to know why he's like not.
Speaker 11 (18:23):
Interested in asking me out again, but.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
You or you want to go out with him? Like
you want to know why you're not being asked out
or do you actually want to date the guy?
Speaker 12 (18:36):
Thank you. I mean, we held hands. We shared popcorn.
I don't know the guy that well, but I'd like
to see him again. I'd like to get to know him.
Speaker 10 (18:47):
All right.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
I got you.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
All right.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
We're going to call him. We're going to get him
on the line, and we, with you listening, will find
out why he's not being more assertive. It's Kiss FM,
a second date update. Kiss FM, LA's number one music station.
Let me bring you up to speed fast if you
just got here. We're in the middle of this thing.
We do called second date update. Like you meet somebody,
you go out and then they blow you off. You
want to know why? That's why we're here. We try
(19:10):
and find out why. Jasmine met Eric Bumble. They go out,
they saw the Odyssey, they held hands and they shared popcorn.
To me, holding hands is a big deal.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
And the first date that is. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
That says I would not hold someone's hand and then
not go out with them a second time.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
It's the wrong signal. It's mixed messaging. So Jasmine, I've
got Eric on the phone. Be very quiet. Let me
find out why he's not asking you out again. You
think he's cute. You want to see him, but he's
just not being assertive. Yeah. Hold on. Here we go.
Be very quiet. Let me talk to Eric. Hey, Eric,
it's Ryan Seacrest. How are you, brother?
Speaker 14 (19:47):
Good.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Wow.
Speaker 12 (19:48):
Okay.
Speaker 11 (19:49):
Awesome.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
I got Sisney and Tanya.
Speaker 8 (19:51):
Hi, Eric.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Life coaches. Life coaches online. Listen, here's the thing. We're
calling about a woman named Jasmine you met on Bumble.
How was the date?
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Well, okay. So it was a little weird. you know,
like we went to the movies, you know?
Speaker 7 (20:18):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
What was weird? Just take me to the weird part.
Speaker 12 (20:21):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
So there's a couple sitting behind us.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
And I was like, like, I'm pretty sure those were
her parents.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Okay. And I was like, you know, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
It's like chaperoning, watching your behavior.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
I don't know, but she didn't say anything. So it
was really weird.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Are those your units behind us?
Speaker 3 (20:48):
I didn't like put it sort of together till like later,
but like, I, that appears to be what happened. And
I'm like, pretty sure those were parents. And I was like, you.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Guys both adults. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
So maybe she brought her parents to play protector. Right.
To the room monitor.
Speaker 7 (21:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Pretty weird.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Well, look, if it were her parents, I would think
that's weird. I would think that's strange. I would not
feel so comfortable with that. But you're unsure. Otherwise, did
you like her, Jasmine?
Speaker 3 (21:20):
I did.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Okay. So, Eric, I have Jasmine on the phone, and
she likes you. She thinks you're cute, and she wants
to go out with you again. But Jasmine, were your
parents chaperoning the date behind you?
Speaker 10 (21:35):
Hi.
Speaker 12 (21:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
So yes, you're right.
Speaker 12 (21:41):
Those were my parents, but it was just a coincidence.
Speaker 11 (21:47):
They just happened to be in the same movie. And
I just thought it would be super weird to introduce.
Speaker 12 (21:55):
You because it would have.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
It would have been really awkward, right?
Speaker 11 (21:58):
So I just like motioned for them, like not to
talk to us. And, uh, I didn't think you saw.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Like, so Jasmine, let me give you my feedback. I
think it's extra weird that you didn't mention that they
were there and you missed a great opportunity to break
the ice by saying, Oh my gosh, Eric, can you
believe this? My parents are behind us. That is crazy.
Let's dash off and go do something else. I think
it would have been a very good opportunity. You look
(22:26):
for those tentpole moments in a first date that can
icebreak and be a great story later on. This is
one of them. So that's a missed opportunity. But I
find it to be stranger that you covered it up.
If it were me, if I were Eric, I would
be weirded out by that, too.
Speaker 11 (22:44):
Yeah, you know, in retrospect, I think you have a
good point there. Like, I should have just acknowledged it.
Speaker 8 (22:50):
But, yeah, I was just, like, super embarrassed.
Speaker 12 (22:55):
And, you know, I know they can be a.
Speaker 11 (22:57):
Bit overprotective, so I just didn't want them to, like,
you know, start asking weird questions or something. So, yeah, like,
it definitely wasn't a good impulse to have.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
And, yeah, like, my bad.
Speaker 10 (23:10):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Go ahead, Eric.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
I'm not sure they weren't at the restaurant, too. Were
they at the restaurant?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Oh, no, no. I promise.
Speaker 11 (23:17):
They were definitely not.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Do your parents trust you out with a guy?
Speaker 11 (23:22):
They do. They do trust me. I know this whole
situation seems, like, really weird, but, like, that definitely would
never happen again. Okay.
Speaker 14 (23:36):
So..
Speaker 2 (23:39):
This is a second date update. It's difficult to find
the right person, you know, anyway. Here's my opinion, and
then you tell us what you want to do. This
was an unplanned, unfortunate circumstance that won't happen again. And
if you liked her enough, let's forget the fact that
her parents were there. Let's forget the fact that she
(24:00):
chose to cover it up. Forget all that. If you
liked her, ask her out again. If you didn't, don't.
What's your plan?
Speaker 3 (24:10):
I don't know. I feel like it was great meeting her,
but I think I'm good.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
You just don't like her. You're just not into her.
I mean, that's it. You're just not into her, which
is okay. Just say it.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
I mean, I feel like they have her location and
this is going to happen again, honestly.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
No, you don't like her and that is fine, but
you need to just be honest with her.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
All right.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
I think this is going to happen again. And honestly,
you could have just texted me all this.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Take care. It's not going to work out. It's not
going to work out here.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
That's rude.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
He's he got a little rude there at the end.
Jasmine better off. You guys are not together. I think
maybe your parents are in there and him being rude
happened for a reason. He's not the one.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Yeah, he's not.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Thank you for reaching out.
Speaker 7 (24:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (24:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (24:55):
No, thanks guys. I'm glad I got a clear answer.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Back to Bumble. You go. It's kiss. On Air with
Ryan Seacrest. You're on Kiss FM. Can't take this call
fast enough. Ella is on the phone. Seacrest, Sissany, Tanya.
Thanks for rolling with us on the iHeartRadio app. We're
in a valley village. So, Ella, good morning.
Speaker 9 (25:20):
Morning.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Your friend does not have air conditioning. You said, hey,
come stay at my place while we're out of town
because I have air conditioning. And then your friend, after
you got back, said, oh, I want to charge you
for me house sitting and using your air conditioning. Basically,
they want to be paid for house sitting after what
I think you did was a favor to them. Is
that right?
Speaker 1 (25:40):
That's not a thing.
Speaker 8 (25:41):
A hundred percent. She doesn't have a seat. It's been miserable.
So I was going out of town, told her, hey,
come over and stay like. You don't have to do anything.
We don't have pets or plants or anything. Just stay cool.
And that's exactly how it went down. She wants to
be paid now.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
And she said, great. Thank you very much. I really
appreciate that going in.
Speaker 8 (26:02):
She was thrilled. She didn't say anything about payment, nothing.
She was just happy to, you know, get out.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Of the heat.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
So I need to understand something here. When you returned
from your trip, what were the words she used? What
did she say? How did she ask you?
Speaker 8 (26:19):
She texted me a few days after we have returned
and she literally said, so when are you going to
send me the money for house sitting?
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Ew.
Speaker 8 (26:28):
And I'm thinking like, am I going crazy?
Speaker 2 (26:33):
You know, I know people. I know people. You give
them an inch, they take a yard.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I know people like this. Exactly.
Speaker 8 (26:40):
And I was like, wait, I wasn't hiring you to
house sit. I was letting you stay at my house
for a week.
Speaker 5 (26:44):
And you should charge her the electricity bill for all
the AC she was using while you were gone.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Fair. That's fair.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
I think Tanya has a fair response. It's like, hey, look,
first of all, if this wasn't discussed going in, you
can't backwash it. You can't talk about after the fact.
And then second of all, your reply should be, actually,
if that was your expectation, we should have talked about
ahead of time.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Right.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
I just calculated the utility bill for the air conditionings.
And it comes to this total. I'd appreciate the Venmo.
See you soon. That would be my response.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
I mean, that's the end of that friendship. If we
all are getting there.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 8 (27:26):
I don't, I don't even know how to like approach
our next conversation about it.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Like it's wild.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Where's common courtesy.
Speaker 11 (27:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Where are people with that?
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Gone.
Speaker 6 (27:37):
I have my friend's house at all the time and
help me with the dogs and things like that. I've never,
they've never once asked to be paid.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Hey, how about they should start teaching something again in
school called manners?
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Ella, thank you very much for listening.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
A manners course.
Speaker 9 (27:50):
All right.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
Thanks, guys. You don't owe any money for that. All right.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Bye-bye.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Let me ask. Bella, you're at USC. They teach manners?
Speaker 1 (28:01):
They do not.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Well, did you learn manners in school?
Speaker 10 (28:04):
Well, for my parents, yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Right, but why not school?
Speaker 5 (28:07):
Manners.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Honestly, manners are gone. Where have manners gone?
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Right, like an etiquette class.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
We need manners to come back. I don't know manners.
People know manners.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Ugh, so rude. Everyone's just in their own world. That's
the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Well, that is selfish. Right.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
We share the world.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Implement manners classes.
Speaker 11 (28:29):
All right.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
I'm going to start a school of manners.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
I was just going to say you should start your
own school.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Ryan Seacrest School of Manners.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Fantastic idea.
Speaker 5 (28:37):
I'll sign up.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Right?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
For all ages. I don't like this. A lot of
them and a lot of people getting stung by the stingers.
We'll tell you about that next.
Speaker 7 (28:54):
Fight fear for the selfish pain, it was worth it
every time Hold still right before we crash, cause we
both know how this ends A clock ticks till it
breaks your glass and I drown.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
In you again.
Speaker 14 (29:14):
Cause you are the piece of me I wish I
didn't need. Chasing relentlessly, still fighting. I don't know why
if our love is.
Speaker 7 (30:17):
Walk on through a red parade and refuse to make
amends It.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Cuts deep to.
Speaker 7 (30:26):
Our ground and makes us forget all common sense.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Don't speak as.
Speaker 7 (30:33):
I try to leave Cause we both know what we'll
choose If you pull then I'll push too deep And
I'll fall right back to.
Speaker 14 (30:47):
You Cause you are the piece of me I wish
I didn't.
Speaker 7 (30:54):
Need Chasing relentlessly.
Speaker 14 (30:56):
Still fighting, I don't know why If.
Speaker 8 (31:00):
Our love.
Speaker 14 (31:04):
Is tragedy Why are you my remedy?
Speaker 1 (31:08):
If I loved insanity, why are you my clarity?
Speaker 10 (31:13):
Hey Hey.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Dead in boxes on Kiss FM. That sounds great. Let's
pack up our potato wedges and go to the beach.
But be careful of this stingrays playing hide and seek.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Potato wedges to the beach?
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Maybe it's not practical.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
All right.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
They get soggy and cold.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Or maybe you bring some chips. Sandwiches.
Speaker 6 (32:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
I don't bring my barbecue tip, but it sounds good.
Speaker 10 (32:23):
It does.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Anyway, point is, you got to do the stingray shuffle.
The stingrays are everywhere. So there are how many and
how many people have been stung? Like, excuse me, what's
going on in Seal Beach?
Speaker 1 (32:31):
We're in the thousands.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
3,100 people have been stung at Bolsa Chica, Huntington State
Beach so.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Far this year. 3,100 human beings this year?
Speaker 9 (32:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (32:40):
And that is already double of all of last year.
We're not even done with the year yet. So if
you include all of 2025, this has already doubled that number.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
That's crazy.
Speaker 6 (32:51):
Researchers have recently pulled around 200 stingrays.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Out of one small area.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
So not even just like the whole beach, a small
area of Seal Beach, where we're from. And apparently there
can be so many down there and there's like babies
down there.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
It's a carpet. So you really don't know. Because they
hide under that layer of sand.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
When you walk in.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
I cannot. Isn't that terrifying?
Speaker 5 (33:13):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
So what are you supposed to do? They say you
shuffle in, but I'm afraid to shuffle.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
It's the stingray shuffle.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
So you kind of don't ever pick up your feet.
If you're going into the ocean, you kind of just
shuffle them in. What if I hit the back of
the guy?
Speaker 1 (33:27):
If you hit it, it'll get scared and it'll swim away.
Speaker 6 (33:30):
If you step on it, that's when it freaks out
and it'll sting you.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Yeah, it's like a knee. You know when you kick
your knee with the hammer and it just jerks? I
think that's the same thing with the stingray. Step on it,
that thing just kicks up and stings you. But a
stingray sting is not, it does not feel good. I mean,
that lasts for a long time. It's very painful. It
can't kill you, I don't think.
Speaker 10 (33:49):
No, I know.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
But it can really be painful.
Speaker 6 (33:51):
And this is all happening because of El Nino, the
warmer waters right now on all.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Of our oceans. I know, the super El Nino.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Can we just have a year without a weather crisis?
Speaker 11 (34:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
The crazy part is that, like, they're saying it'll be
the craziest Super El Nino we've ever seen. And, like,
it hasn't even happened yet. And they're saying it'll happen
this year. So does that mean that, like..
Speaker 1 (34:14):
We're going to be in full on rain.
Speaker 5 (34:17):
September.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
I don't know about September.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Maybe September, but all of October. Fall, winter. I think
it's not going to be great. You're going to have
to think about sharks, too. You've got those stingrays coming in.
You've got those warm water sharks coming in. We've got
real problems.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Don't even get me started on leaks. Roof leaks? That's
where all the stuff is going to get unfolded.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
What is the deal? We get droughts.
Speaker 10 (34:38):
Fine.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
We get fires. Now we're going to get this thing?
Speaker 9 (34:40):
I know.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
That's just not right. Save the states, please, from the
weather crisis.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Don't get me started on earthquakes right now.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Yeah, earthquakes.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
And the amount that are happening across the whole world.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
The fact that we have to live in an earthquake region,
that alone should be enough crisis to be worried about.
Now El Nino's going to come?
Speaker 11 (34:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
I'm really releasing cortisol about it all. And I don't
know what to do. I don't know what to do.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Do the stingray shuffle.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
I'm not doing any shuffle near that thing. Get that
dart in my thigh. painful you know where there's no
ankle no stingrays in raging waters water that's true i
got tickets to go stingray.
Speaker 9 (35:19):
List next on air with ryan seacrest on 102.7 professional
wrestling fans the app 102.7 kiss fm all right let's
give away some raging waters tickets we're gonna play a
game it feels like the right day to play it's
gonna be hot today we're gonna play how hot.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Will it be how hot will it get or get
same deal Hi, Denise. It's Ryan Seacrest. This is Nintanya.
How are you? Hi, good.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
How are you?
Speaker 11 (35:47):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Good morning. Where are you going?
Speaker 11 (35:50):
I'm going to the airport right now.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Oh, are you picking somebody up or are you bailing?
Speaker 11 (35:57):
I am dropping my grandparents off.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
You are so kind to do that.
Speaker 12 (36:02):
I know, right?
Speaker 9 (36:03):
Right?
Speaker 2 (36:04):
So you roll into LAX. All right, we're going to
play a quick game while they're in the car called
How Hot Will It Get? I'll basically name a Southern
California community, and Sisney's going to guess today's high temperature
in that city.
Speaker 11 (36:16):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
I forgot to tell you that. You're going to guess,
according to weather.com, if she's right, you win automatically. If
she's wrong, you've got to guess higher or lower. Got it?
Got it.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
So you've got to get three right before you get
three wrong. The first one... Woodland Hills. Sissany, what's the
high going to be?
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Woodland Hills.
Speaker 9 (36:37):
98.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
That's wrong. So is it higher or lower?
Speaker 14 (36:41):
Higher.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Yes.
Speaker 12 (36:42):
No.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
It's going to be lower.
Speaker 10 (36:44):
97.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
No.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
No.
Speaker 10 (36:47):
97.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
You're way off, Sissany.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
One degree off.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Well, one degree is a big difference.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
All right. In Lancaster, what's it going to be today's high, Sissany?
What's your guess?
Speaker 6 (36:57):
Triple digits for sure. I'm going to go 107.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
She says 1-7. She's wrong. Higher or lower, Denise?
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Lower.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Yeah, 1-0-5. So close. All right. So far, so not. Yeah,
you got one.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
You got one.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Yeah, I got one.
Speaker 8 (37:16):
All right.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Redondo Beach. Redondo Beach. Is it going to be what?
Speaker 6 (37:20):
Here's the crazy thing about the beaches right now is
that we're in the 80s, and I want to say
Redondo Beach can be 84.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
That's wrong. Higher or lower, Denise?
Speaker 5 (37:31):
I'm going to say lower.
Speaker 9 (37:33):
Yeah. 83.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
Oh, come on, you guys. You should get one of
these right. Come on.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
I was so confident about that one.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Here we go. Whittier. What's it going to be? Today's high, Sisney.
What's your guess?
Speaker 1 (37:50):
Whittier is so inland. I feel like Whittier.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
I'm thinking triple digits.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
101. 101.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
She's right.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (38:05):
She wins. Denise wins. Denise gets that one right. She
got the other. She wins. Congratulations, Denise. You're going to
cool off at Raging Waters. What do your grandparents think
of that? Oh, my God.
Speaker 5 (38:16):
They're excited.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
They're excited for me.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
Do they even know what you're doing? Do they realize
that you're on the radio on Kiss FM?
Speaker 1 (38:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Well, tell them hi and safe driving, safe travels. Thank
you for listening. Hold on one second. We'll get you
your tickets.
Speaker 8 (38:32):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
You're welcome. Thank you, Denise. Thank you. It's Kiss FM.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
On air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
It's Kiss. Ryan Seacrest is named Tanya. I have to admit.
If I were to go on a first date, I
will think ahead of time about different things to ask
this person. Based on what I know about this person,
I will think through thoughtful questions and conversations. Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
That's nice.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
I will. I will remember that they told me what
their father did for a living and ask them about that.
I will remember them talking about their sister who's a
gymnast and ask about that. I will think it through.
I'll have it in my head. occasionally, if it's very nuanced,
I'll put the notes in my phone. And the Uber
(39:25):
over there, I'll take a good look and glance and
try and memorize. It's fine. I have no shame in that.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
I have a question for you.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
I have an answer.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
What have you done with your past notes?
Speaker 2 (39:35):
I got them all here.
Speaker 5 (39:36):
Yeah, I was going to say they're still in there
for sure.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
You just keep them?
Speaker 2 (39:40):
They're under code name, like Fireball.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Yeah, Fireball.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Canoe.
Speaker 14 (39:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
But why are you keeping them?
Speaker 5 (39:47):
I still have all my notes, too.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
It's time to race.
Speaker 10 (39:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
That's weird to me, guys.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Well, for her, she's married. For me, it's fine. Fireball.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
It's weird, Tanya.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
I just never go through my notes. They're just in there.
I'm surprised you don't have your generic go-to.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Sorry, Tanya, but I'm not a generic.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
He's not a generic. What's your sign? What's your love language?
Speaker 2 (40:11):
What's your attachment style? You say you like a certain flower.
I remember that flower. See how much fun it could be?
But you aren't into this. You're not dating. You're with
your husband. But Bella is in college. She's got friends
going out on first dates, all of which are asking her,
what do you ask a guy? She's got a boyfriend.
Speaker 10 (40:32):
I do.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
Did you ask him these things on his first date?
Speaker 10 (40:35):
I did ask one of them on the first date, yes.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Give me a list of like three or four on
your first date questions. And do you say to the guy, hey,
I got a... Couple template questions I need to run
by you.
Speaker 10 (40:47):
No. Like screener questions?
Speaker 8 (40:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
Do you say that or you just roll them whenever they're...
I just.
Speaker 5 (40:51):
Roll with the punches.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
Let's go. What do you got?
Speaker 10 (40:54):
So my favorite is, what is something you admired about
your parents' relationship?
Speaker 3 (40:58):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Steve!
Speaker 10 (41:00):
Another one?
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
I like that one. What is it you admire about yours?
Speaker 10 (41:04):
I admire that my dad's very thoughtful with my mom.
Like he'll think to get her flowers when she's having
a bad day or he's always just trying to cheer
her up. So I think That's like something I try
to emulate in my own relationship.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
Okay. That's a good one then. What's another first date
question that you always ask a guy?
Speaker 10 (41:19):
This is a fun way to ask if they're introverted
or extroverted. Um, were you the student that the teacher
put next to the talkative kid or were you the
student that needed to be calmed down?
Speaker 2 (41:30):
I don't know if I might be offended by that.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
That one's like very heavy.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
My answer is I have to be calmed down. I
would speak out of turn and I was sent out
of the room often. Oh, Is that good or bad?
Speaker 1 (41:42):
How bad were you?
Speaker 10 (41:43):
It just meant like you just talked a lot.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
You were so funny. Were you ever sent out of
the room?
Speaker 11 (41:47):
No.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
I was never sent out of the room. Very chatty.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
I got sent every once in a while down the hall.
Sit there, be quiet by myself in the hallway.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
All right.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
What's another one?
Speaker 10 (41:57):
Another one would be if you could pick a theme
song for your life, what would it be?
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Oh, that's too much pressure.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
But that's kind of fun.
Speaker 10 (42:04):
I would pick Love Fool.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
The Cardigans song?
Speaker 8 (42:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
It's a great song. I don't know if I'd have it. Okay.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
One more.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Do your friends ask you for these things and do
you give them to your friends?
Speaker 10 (42:21):
No, actually the last question was on my USC application.
Speaker 8 (42:25):
Oh, okay.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
This is a first day question stolen from the Trojan app.
Speaker 10 (42:30):
The last one would be, what does effort look like
to you in a relationship?
Speaker 2 (42:35):
Thoughtfulness.
Speaker 9 (42:36):
Toughness.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Yeah, that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Right?
Speaker 7 (42:40):
Right.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Yeah. Okay. Take them down. Put them in your notes, Tanya.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
Tanya, give me your notes and delete all your X's.
It's weird.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
I think the button to this to me is it's
okay to think through first date questions. It's all right.
You don't have to be embarrassed if they sound a
little already prepared. I'm down. And I also would not
say I ask every person the same thing. Maybe that's
what you shouldn't do if you go out with a
person again for the first time, Bella. I wouldn't say,
(43:10):
these are the questions I always ask a first date.
I would make them feel like they were specific for them.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
Very true.
Speaker 5 (43:15):
You can't say the wrong thing to the right guy,
you know?
Speaker 2 (43:19):
Tanya, stop.
Speaker 1 (43:20):
All right.
Speaker 6 (43:25):
It's so good.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Yamaste. It's Kiss FM. Inside the free iHeartRadio app, we
got talkbacks. You can hit that red microphone and send
us something in a voice note. So here's one. We
get these all the time. This just came in. Jordan
had a family of opossums under her car, and Rebecca
in Pennsylvania was listening and wanted to tell us something.
Speaker 9 (43:43):
We were talking about opossums, and the one young lady
mentioned that they are rodents, and they, however, are not.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
They are very beneficial to the environment.
Speaker 13 (43:55):
They eat ticks and they also can withstand rattlesnake bites.
So they provide anti-venom for people across the United States.
Speaker 2 (44:06):
Are they marsupials? Mark?
Speaker 8 (44:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
I don't know how to answer myself.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
They're not rodents. Are they marsupials? They are marsupials, yes. Yeah, marsupials.
Marsupials taking care of the ticks. All right, here's Michelle
in Indiana. Talk back.
Speaker 13 (44:24):
Hello, good morning, Ryan, Sisney, and Tanya in the back room.
I was just listening to the podcast from when you
were talking about Tanya screenshotting your story and saw some
acrylic nails.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
I'm dead, okay? That just made my day.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Can you remind me what she saw?
Speaker 5 (44:42):
So you posted an Instagram story. This was a couple
of weekends ago and you were eating something, but it
wasn't your hand that was feeding you. And I zoomed
in on the photo and I noticed it was an
acrylic nail.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
So I told the person that you did and that
person's response was, who does that?
Speaker 1 (45:00):
I would never, never notice that.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
That was the point she was making. Who does that?
Speaker 5 (45:07):
An amazing journalist on air talent.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
It's in your blood.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
We are not journalists. Let's be clear. I mentioned how
there are no rules for weddings. You want to get married?
Forget the rules. Forget convention. Do what you want to do.
You don't need the same number of bridesmaids and groomsmen. Whatever.
Whatever you want. I use the example also in this
moment of pickle lemonade at the Renaissance Fair. You may recall,
(45:36):
Anthony in Illinois had a thought about that.
Speaker 4 (45:38):
So my wife, Lydia, and I, for our wedding, we
decided to do breakfast for dinner, and everybody loved it.
Even the DJ, he said he'd done thousands of weddings,
and he never had breakfast for dinner. So yeah, pickle lemonade.
Speaker 8 (45:52):
It's your wedding.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
You do you.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
That was my point.
Speaker 9 (45:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
Make opposites come together. Do what you want to do.
You do not need to serve chicken or steak or whatever.
What do you serve at your wedding, Cisney?
Speaker 1 (46:04):
It was like a chicken situation.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
Right.
Speaker 1 (46:06):
It was a couple options. It was literally that, chicken
or steak.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
I'd rather have a Belgium waffle station than bacon.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
That sounds so fun.
Speaker 6 (46:13):
But I did serve late night bacon-wrapped hot dogs and
french fries.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
But why do that late? Do that for the main event.
Speaker 6 (46:19):
No, that was like four hours after everybody ate.
Speaker 5 (46:21):
Yeah, and you're like drunk.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
Why not have that first?
Speaker 1 (46:23):
Because now you're drunk and you want a french fry and.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
A hot dog. No, I want that first.
Speaker 1 (46:27):
If you remarried... This was 13 years ago.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
If you re-knew... And invite us. That's what you should do.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
I want to do breakfast for dinner. Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
When I get married, you wait until you see what
we serve. Oh.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
Everyone gets a can of sardines.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
When I get married. Friends, that's going to do it
for us. Thanks for being here. Tomorrow, we're back on it.
If you missed anything, it's up on our On Air
with Ryan Seacrest podcast. I mean, iHeartRadio. Have a good one.
Sisney's got you for another hour. That's right.
