Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Seacrest!

Speaker 1 (00:04):
On air, on air, on.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Air with Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
It's Kiss FM. Seacrest with you. Alright, so, sisters. Now
listen to this. This stuff just gets my phone into
my feed. Do you have a sister? Because they say
that the meaner sibling is a sister. Brothers and sisters,
a meaner sibling is a sister. Now, Sisney, you have... Well,
you have sisters. I have a sister and a brother.

(00:30):
So they think you're mean.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Well, why wouldn't I think that they might be mean?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Well, not they, but Jeanette thinks you're mean.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
No. What if I would think that Jeanette's mean?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Okay, so you have one of each. Do you believe
that you can tell a difference in the sort of
tension between one or the other?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Now as adults, no. But as adults, we all get
along and it's great. But growing up as kids, my
brother was mean in the sense where he would hide
behind a wall to scare me and just do mean
things like that to me as a little kid. My
sister would yell at me and then smack me.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Well, that's meaner.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Like, she was driving me to dance or driving me somewhere,
and I was supposed to remind her the exit. She'd
be like, you forgot the exit!

Speaker 1 (01:10):
And then she would smack me.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Is that a competitive thing?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
No, it's like frustration.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Really?

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Because, you know, a little game of peekaboo is just
a tease from a brother. But, like, getting up in
your face like that, literally getting up in your face
like that.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Oh, my brother would, like, love to scare me. He
would like to make me cry.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Were we not bullied by our siblings? I feel like
we were.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
I think the oldest siblings are the meaner ones. Because
I too got picked on as the youngest. My siblings
would hold my hands and my feet down on the
couch and tickled me until I peed my pants.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
I didn't want to come to work and hear that.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Similar situations. Pin down, they try to spit in my mouth,
all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
You're lucky to be here.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Where were our parents?

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Clearly not paying attention and not caring. I mean, I
have a great relationship with my sister, so I didn't
realize how blessed I was by that.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
I'm so grateful.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Maybe it's a California thing. I don't know. I don't know. Yeah,
in the state of Georgia, we didn't do that.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
You guys grew up with manners.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
They say the meaner sibling is the sister. Let me know.
800-520-1027 at Kiss FM. Kiss FM. All right. Now, Tiffany
was talking about this, and I'm going to do it
later today because mine is right here.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yes, that's right.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
My old apartment is right down the street from where
we are here in Burbank. But it's something that actually,
when you mention it, I do it too. Is it
strange that we do it?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
I don't know if it's strange. So I like to
sometimes occasionally drive by my old house.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Yes, me too.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
It's weird because- And it.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Makes me sad. And I'm like, and I don't know
why I do it. Like, it's like self-sabotaging, but I'm like,
I'm going to do it.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
I do it too. And I go slow by the
windows hoping they won't see me looking in at them,
but I'm hoping to see them. It's really weird.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
And I want to see like what they change, if
they like change the front door, like whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I'm possessive about it. Like my old house in Atlanta,
when I go back for Christmas, I drive by, they
painted the front door a different color.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
But they still, they kept your constellations in your room.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Okay, you have to understand. Oh yeah, they did. So
when I was a kid growing up, I put constellation
stickers on my bedroom ceiling and they glow at night.
A lot of us did. Sisney and Tanya went to
my childhood home at one point on a trip to
Atlanta as adults recently and somehow got invited into my
bedroom as a child.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
That's right. Well, we went to just see the house
almost like this, like do a drive by and just
like take a picture in front of it. And then
they saw us and then we had to explain ourselves
and they invited us in. Yeah, invited us.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
It's really strange that you have seen the constellations of
when I was 15 years old on my ceiling.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I think it's sweet that we took it upon ourselves
to do this. It's strange they kept them up.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Well, I don't know. I mean, you can't get those
things down, apparently. That glue is tough. Why did you
drive by? What was happening? We were there.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
We went to like your old high school and we
met a lot of your friends.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Why did you drive by your old house? I know
you went and did my whole life.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Because i just i don't know i got the urge
and sometimes the kids want to go by too and
then they get emotional i'm like we're not doing this
again every time we drive by it it's like not
doesn't make us feel good makes us feel sad that
we don't live there anymore.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Good news is to whoever is living at my apartment
over here on hollywood and verdugo i can't really see
in there because it's yeah it's on the third floor
i can't really see right.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Also just like like i don't know why it took
me so long to realize this but you have a
new bangle today.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
I have a new bracelet today. How cute.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Thank you for listening to what we're talking about here.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Yeah, I was listening, but I was very distracted when
you pointed at your apartment.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
It's very shiny. It's very shiny.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
You know, I'm trying to go back in time. It's
Kiss FM. So I'm kind of hoping the show would
go fast to get to this. Sisany, I've been excited to,
I don't know why, because I didn't read the article,
but it had to do with something about dating and height.
And I'm obviously very comfortable at 5'8. With my height.
But what does it mean?

Speaker 2 (04:56):
So Tinder is rolling out this new feature that's got
everyone talking and they're testing a height filter. So basically,
if you're a Tinder Platinum subscriber, that's about $ 40 a month,
you can now set a minimum and maximum height for
potential matches.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
$ 40 a month?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
If I was on the apps, I would totally pay
$ 40 a month to funnel out the exact height.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Would you put your height up there?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Well, no.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
This is the height that you want for a potential match.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Like your wish list. For me, I always wanted to
be with somebody that was six foot or taller.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Don't care.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
That's just me.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
I don't care about height.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
But some people do care about height.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Okay, so keep going. I mean, I think people might
care about my height.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I don't care about height. Okay. Tinder says they're trying
this out to help people connect more intentionally, but not
everyone's buying it. Some folks are calling it superficial and discriminatory,
while others say, hey, other apps like Hinge already have this.
But Tinder's new CEO is trying to shake off the
app's hookup-heavy image and appeal more to Gen Z users

(06:05):
looking for meaningful connections. They don't want to be known
as the hookup app, which Tinder kind of has that
reputation for. That there's no meaningful relationships that come out
of Tinder. You go to Bumble, Hinge, other.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Apps for that.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
But the height filter has sparked a lot of debate online.
And I think that it's just an interesting take. If
you know what you want, what's the point of... meeting somebody,
chatting with them, going out on a date, and then
when you get there, they're 5'6, and you're 5'8, and
you're like, I will never. Because sometimes you don't know.
I'm not saying me. But sometimes you don't know what's

(06:41):
best for you. Sometimes you know what you want.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
How about we don't care about the height?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Some people care about the height.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
I have been asked in the past, do I mind
that said person is taller than I am, and especially
in heels. And I say, no, it's great.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Well, you're different. But I have girlfriends that are, they'll
know when they're looking through profiles. They'll be like, oh
my gosh, he's sitting down in all his pictures. And
that's for a reason. You know, he's not comparing. It's
a picture with him and all his bros.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
You guys are really.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Really true.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
You can tell a lot by a man with his bros.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Thank you. Because if it's a picture with his bros
and he's sitting down or they're all sitting down, he
doesn't have any standing pictures with his bros, then you
can see that there's a height. I don't want to
say issue, but, you know. It's so true, though.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
You see? Exactly.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
All of our wedding pictures are probably his groomsmen. He's
like in the middle. He's the shortest.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
And all his groomsmen are like towering over him.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
And why is that so funny? Like you're so excited
to say it. And I find it not so funny.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
He finds it funny too.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Oh, really? I think he's being nice to his wife.
Deep down inside, he cries at night when you're asleep
under your Harry Styles pillow.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Over it you should have did you incorporate the harry
styles pillow into the wedding.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Once i saw the naked uncle i couldn't get the
naked uncle story it was all i needed and also
yeah harry's i was told not to go like to
harry styles because i think that's the one guy that
he does not like to hear about oh it's good
let's kiss now have you heard this the three by
three by 12 idea the challenge here it has tens

(08:38):
of millions of views on Tik TOK. And some of
you are saying it's so good. It makes you happier
and healthier. It's called a three by three by 12 challenge.
Here's how it works. You do 3000 steps, one 30
or daily water goal and 30 grams of protein all
before noon.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Goal being to jumpstart your energy, your mood and focus.
So steps, water, protein, All before noon, they say it's
a game changer.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
The protein is so good. So hard.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
30 grams of protein before noon?

Speaker 1 (09:07):
A shake.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Why?

Speaker 1 (09:08):
We're up so early.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
I feel like it'd be easier for us.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Have a chicken breast in the middle of the morning.
Chomp it up.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
You eat eggs.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, you eat those sticky eggs.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
I know, but 30 is a lot.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Ask ChatGPT. Today's quote. What you chase will run. What
you embody will arrive.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Oh, good one.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Why?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
All right, 102 Sound, and it's Kiss FM. Let's hit
the headlines, Sissany. What do you have? Kiss FM headlines
with Sissany.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Well, LAUSD quietly imposed a district-wide ban on student use
of generative AI on school devices this year. That includes
Google Gemini and ChatGPT. The NBA is punishing the Clippers
with a $ 30 million fine and the loss of five
future first round picks for violating salary cap rules when

(10:00):
they signed Kawhi Leonard back in 2022. Some South L.A.
residents say they've been dealing with broken streetlights for more
than a year and a half, despite repeated calls to
the city. And Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, and BTS are
reportedly among the artists being considered to headline Coachella 2027.
2.7 Kiss FM. Now, Ruby, you mentioned this, and I

(10:24):
can't get it out of my head now. She mentioned that,
and I never thought about it until I started thinking
about it.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Now I think about it all the time. That when
our coffee, like my coffee, you know, if you listen
to the show, you know how important coffee is. It's
like my, it's my longest term relationship. It's life.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
It's life.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
And I look forward to it in the morning. And
you were saying that like, if you microwave your coffee,
it could not be safe, Ruby.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Well, I was curious because my coffee got cold this morning.
So I was like, is it wrong to microwave it?

Speaker 1 (10:52):
I mean, I do. You do.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
So it's okay.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
I don't know. I didn't think about it until I
started thinking about it. Why would it be bad? I
feel like it would like evaporate the goodness.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
In my head, I'm like, oh, is it going to
get rid of like.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
The freshness of the coffee?

Speaker 3 (11:07):
All right.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
So here's what I found out. Heat breaks the acids down,
which makes it taste more bitter. The micro destroys the
aromatic compound so the smell is gone, making it taste flat. Oh,
that's right. And it creates hot spots, which can cause
a burning aftertaste. So no, you pretty much ruined it. Wow.
I think this is unknown.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Just throw some ice in there and make it an
iced coffee.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Well, I do that once I start to get jittery.
Then I go to ice. Warm coffee makes you jittery.
The ice doesn't really. So yeah, I guess the caffeine
is stable, but I didn't know that. You need to
tell people. I didn't know they don't tell you that.
They don't. That's like one of those things. I think
I do certain things in life. They don't tell you
about that. You're on KISS.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
102.7.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
It is KISS FM. Jordan in the back room. Now,
this is kind of brilliant. She wanted to not break up,
but break it off with a dude. So she's like,
how do I author the appropriate break it off text? Oh,
I know. I get another dude to write the break
off text, right?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Genius.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
And so who gets the honor of doing that? Which guy?

Speaker 2 (12:08):
He's like one of my best friends.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
And what do you say? Like, here's the mission. What
do you say?

Speaker 6 (12:13):
I said, I told this man a few times that
I'm not interested in And I was like, okay, from
a guy's perspective, what kind of message would you want
to receive if you were to be broken up with?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Like a good, you're trying to let him down nicely.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
We don't want to receive any of them.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Well, it's got to happen.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Okay. So do you have the text? What did he
guide you to do?

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (12:35):
So I kind of made it into like how I
would say it to summarizing it.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
So you took what he said and then you made
it your own.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah. All right.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
Okay, I'm truly sorry about this, but I've been thinking
and I don't think I'm quite in a space to
get to know anybody right now and think it would
be best if we cancel tonight because I'm not trying
to lead you on, period. I'm really sorry if that
caused an inconvenience.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
And I hope it doesn't ruin your night.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
I'm dealing with a lot right now, and I think
it would just be good for me to not continue this.
I'm not in the right headspace for any kind of relationship,
and I don't want to waste your time.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
But I'm worried about you now. That sounds so concerning.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Are you really dealing with a lot?

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Well, are you not really dealing with all that?

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Are you?

Speaker 6 (13:29):
At the time, I... I was like dealing with family stuff,
you know? So it kind of, he kind of understood
the lore a little bit. So that's kind of where
I was going with.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Are you an English major? All right. What's, what do
you say? What happened?

Speaker 6 (13:41):
He said, I understand. I mean, I feel like we
know one another already, but it's cool.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
He's great.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
And you're out of it. And could I borrow that
guy to write outgoing texts?

Speaker 6 (13:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
The guy friend of yours could write outgoing texts or
that would not work. That doesn't work. Needs to be
for me. Outgoing texts to people I would meet.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
If I got a text like that from you, I
would know it was not real. Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
If there was punctuation.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
By the way, punctuations are spelled correctly.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
More than two sentences.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Not you.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
All right.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Well, Jordan, job well done. I think that's actually brilliant.
Outsource the breakup text. Get some help on that thing, right?
It's time for the call on Ryan's Roses 102.7 at
Kiss FM. Haley is married. Her husband got an iMessage
from someone called Vegas Girl in his contacts. And it
was just a way to bachelor party. And that was

(14:35):
a few weeks ago. So she's worried about this. It
doesn't really make sense. Why would somebody from Vegas called
Vegas Girl be texting her husband? Did you ask him
about it, Haley? I did, yes. And he said what?

Speaker 8 (14:49):
Okay, he said... She was just the bottle service girl.
Why does he.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Have her number? He shouldn't have her number.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (14:58):
And also, why is it still happening? Okay, I'm all
about hearing an explanation. I'm all about hearing what they
have to say and really listening to it. But I
understand you're there. Maybe it's a big club and they
have to text each other whatever they want to order.

(15:19):
But why is it still happening now that he's home?

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Okay, we are going to call now. Be very quiet.
Just say, Ryan, you have my permission to call, and
then his name. Go ahead.

Speaker 8 (15:29):
Okay, Ryan, you have permission to call.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
We are going to do that right now. Be very quiet.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
And here we go. Hello, this is Matt.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Hi, Matt. My name is Carmela. How are you doing
this morning?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I'm doing all right.

Speaker 8 (15:55):
Great.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
I'm calling from the fresh floor as we actually deliver
here locally and surrounding areas and offering a free promotion.
It's a dozen red roses that you can send to
anybody that you'd like today.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, they're absolutely free. I don't need any credit card
info from you or any billing info. It's not a subscription.
We just are hoping that you like our arrangements and
maybe one day you come back as a returning customer.
But these are free.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
That's kind of weird.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
No, it's a promotion that we do like once a month.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Okay. Got it.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Got it.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
All right.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Anybody you want to send free flowers to?

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Well, my wife, but I feel kind of weird because
it's not like I paid for these or even came
up with the idea. You know, it seems kind of
like an empty gesture.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Well, she would still appreciate flowers, right?

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Definitely. I think she would definitely appreciate them.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
What's her name?

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Haley.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
And what do you want to put on the card?

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Gosh, I didn't even come up with this idea. Maybe
just put like, I hope these brighten your day. Okay.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
It's great. It's very sweet. Matt, your voice is being
broadcast on the radio. And my name is Ryan Seacrest
and you are a sweet man. How are you?

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Hold on. What is this?

Speaker 1 (17:16):
This is a problem actually, probably. So, uh, Haley, your
wife is on the line and she's asked us to
call you because she was telling us that you were
in Vegas for a bachelor party recently and you got
some texts from a Vegas girl in your phone and
she's wondering if there's something going on or like if
you're cheating on her.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Uh, no, not at all. I mean, and you know,
this is, uh, I don't even know why you're involved
in this.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Well, I agree. And so that's the thing. I don't
want to be involved. And who's the Vegas girl? Why
is she called Vegas girl in your contacts?

Speaker 3 (17:55):
You know, this is really between my wife and I.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Well, didn't you speak with her? She's on the phone here. Haley,
go ahead. Hey, Matt.

Speaker 8 (18:04):
Okay, thank you for the roses, but it doesn't make
sense that you're still texting Vegas girl.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
It makes total sense. I take my clients there all
the time. It's good to have someone there, you know,
who can cook us up.

Speaker 8 (18:24):
Why is she texting you on a random Wednesday night?

Speaker 2 (18:26):
And why not put her name?

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Huh. I don't even know her name. I was just
checking in and trying to keep the, you know, the
relationship alive.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Why are you trying to keep the relationship alive?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Look, buddy, I don't even know who you are, but
this needs to stay, you know, you got to stay
out of this. Seriously. All right.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Well, Matt, we're going to let you go. Cause you're right.
We should not be so involved in this. Thank you, Haley.
Good luck.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Yeah. All right.

Speaker 8 (18:55):
Thank you guys. Thank you for your time, Ryan.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Do you believe him, Haley?

Speaker 8 (19:01):
I mean, honestly, I guess I do.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Well, good. Then our job is done. And thank you
very much. And why do you turn off message previews, though?

Speaker 6 (19:13):
I know.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
What's the question for.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
I turn those off.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
I don't... Well, it's a tiny question. Does the fact
that the flowers are free... And he sent them to
his wife. It sounded very sweet, but they were free.
Does that dilute the sentiment or the gesture?

Speaker 5 (19:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
I thought they were nice flowers.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
No, I don't think it dilutes. Yeah, flowers are flowers, right?

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Free or not.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Fine, right?

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Good.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Good on him.

Speaker 8 (19:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Good.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
All right.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Yeah, kiss.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
Baby.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
On air with Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
On to 2.7, Kiss FM. So, Jeremiah and Sherman Oaks,
what happened, brother?

Speaker 5 (19:42):
How can I help? Hey, guys. How you doing? Good. So,
my girlfriend and I, we used to be pretty good,
We'd be pretty great. And we never really snapped at
each other. You know, we were really close and intimate.
And the relationship really felt easy. But since we moved
in together, it's been really different. And we're bickering, like,
almost every day now. And we barely touch. And it's

(20:05):
starting to feel like she's a roommate that I just
share a bed with.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Oh, man.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
I'm thinking about ending it, but the problem is that
she gave up a really, really good apartment, and the
room is gone now, and she can't afford to live
alone at all. And if I end this, then she's
going to be scrambling. But I'm the one who pushed
for us to move in together. So if I leave now,
I'm the reason that she's in a really tough spot.

(20:31):
But staying in the relationship, staying in place feels dishonest.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
So is there a way to be honest and also
help her through the transition by, I mean, how do
you do that?

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Like is the relationship savable? Like maybe you guys just
need to talk and the flame needs to reignite.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
And I was thinking, he just says, I'm not feeling anymore,
but I'm not like, let's work this out and figure
it out. So you're not stressed about where you live
since I asked you to come over here and you
gave up your great apartment.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
Yeah, I mean, we've really tried to come together and
try to reassess and reunite and everything, but it lasts
for like a day. And then the next thing you know,
she's snapping at me. And it's just, I don't know.
This whole thing was a mistake, I think.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
My guess, talk to her. Because she's probably feeling the
same thing. And maybe so much so that she's thought
about where she could go. after you guys are not together.
And that may be the first step here. It may
resolve itself. Okay.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
I'm just, I'm scared of what, I'm scared of what
to do.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Like, you know, I think you gotta be honest. I
think not being honest about what's happening and putting up
this front and the charade is worse. And then you
handle it. You deal with it. You deal with it.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
All right, bro.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Yeah. Communication. I get, I get that.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Good luck on that one.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Good luck.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Complicated.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I know.

Speaker 5 (21:56):
Thanks guys.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Okay, buddy. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Bye.

Speaker 5 (21:59):
Bye-bye.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah, she's probably feeling it already. She may have already
thought of her escape plan. Yeah. It's Kiss FM. Kiss,
good morning. Now, Sissany was just telling us that she
had the car wash booklet. You buy more for a
better price. You get the booklet car washes, right?

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
You buy in bulk.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
And you get a deal on your car washes. And
it's missing?

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I love having it, and I keep it in my
center console, and I go and rip one off when
I go and get my car washed. And I went
to look the other day, and it is gone. Like,
I had at least seven more washes.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
So what do you think happened? Generally, when that happens
to me, I try to blame someone else, and it
turns out I've misplaced it.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Yeah, my instinct was to blame Michael, and then I
was like, why would Michael take the whole book?

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Like, that's weird.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
So I ruled him out, and then I thought maybe
the kids went in there and thought it was like,
I don't know, something to play with. Yeah, stickers or
a pad to ride on. And I ruled them out
because it's been there for months. Like, why would they
touch it? And it's just gone. Like, I don't know
where it is. The only thing I can think of
is that I, like, legit got robbed. Like, I left
the car unlocked and someone went in there and took

(23:07):
my book.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
This robber went to your car and broke into your
car and was in hunt of the abundance of car
wash to take away from your car. This feels nuts.
They didn't get your car. I have to tell you,
I think that if someone were to rob you and
they got inside the car, they're going to take your car,
not the washes that are at a good price for
the car.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
I don't think so. I think people go in and
rummage through people's cars to see what they can grab.
And they're like, oh, I mean, it's like a gift card.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Why don't you run a test? Put a $ 5 bill
out in your car.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
On the same spot.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
And see if anybody takes that $ 5 bill. When it's gone,
then retrace your steps. Who could have gotten in your car?

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Right. Exactly.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
All right.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Back room, we're going to spring for a new car
wash booklet for Sissany.

Speaker 5 (23:53):
All right.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Love you guys. 102.7 KISS FM. So I'm going to
grab Chanel in Inglewood. Listen to this one. I have
some thoughts already based on just reading this on a
call screen. But she says she's wondering if she should
still buy a gift for her friend who never gets
her a gift for her birthday, but it's her friend's birthday.

Speaker 5 (24:11):
Right, Chanel?

Speaker 1 (24:12):
No.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
Well, yeah, essentially.

Speaker 7 (24:14):
So I had a birthday dinner a few months ago,
and I invited a friend who I'd gotten closer to recently.
So I hadn't invited her to a birthday thing before,
but she came to this one, and we had a
great time, but she didn't bring a gift, like not
even a card. But I didn't say anything, obviously, because

(24:37):
I noticed, but Now she's invited me to her birthday
this weekend. So I'm wondering, like, do I bring her
a gift? Because part of me feels like maybe we're
not on gift level with each other. Like, maybe showing
up is enough, but... Part of me feels like if
I don't bring something that I look petty. Like, are
we too old to expect birthday gifts from friends? Is

(25:00):
this normal to keep track of? Like, I don't know.
Do I take the high road or do I match
her energy?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
I think you've answered the question in all of the questions,
which is it can look petty and you should take
the high road. Like, I do think you're already there
in your own mind. And I feel like if you're
giving it this amount of thought, go ahead and do it.
It takes more energy in a way if you're willing
to get her a gift. To me, it takes a
little more energy to not get her a gift and
then be thinking about that, stewing on the fact that, okay,

(25:28):
she didn't get me one, so I'm not going to
get her one. And then you're like waiting for a reaction.
Then there's another layer to it. Wouldn't it be better
to just arrive, have a good time, give her the gift,
take the high road, and then have her come back
and thank you and probably apologize for not having given
you a gift?

Speaker 7 (25:46):
But like, am I setting up an expectation for her too?
I feel like I'm thinking about this too much.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Exactly.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
You are.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
I mean, this is what gift giving is about. It
should come out of the kindness of your heart. It's
not tit for tat. If you want to give a gift,
you give a gift because you care about that person.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
There's a great.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Quote about this.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
It says, what we give doesn't always return, but what
we give is always what we are.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
So, Chanel, that means, I think, I think it means give. Yes,
it does.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Be who you are.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
Okay, thanks.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
You're a good person. Thank you, Chanel. Very generous. 102.7.
Kiss FM. That's it for us, guys. Thank you for listening.
Great show, everybody. Thank you for being here this morning.
Have a good one. Bye-bye, Sissany. Bye-bye, Tanya.

Speaker 7 (26:31):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Thank you, Ryan. Thank you, Tanya.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Yes, thank you. Gratitude.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Thank our coworkers.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Love you guys.
