in the upper sixties. The rain seems to be done now.
Tanya got played at the DMV. What happened, Tanya?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I went to the DMV. I did not have an appointment,
so I shocker, shocker, I check in, I get my number.
I'm like G two seventy two, and they're at like
G one oh one. So I'm like, okay, it's gonna
be some time before I get to the window. So
I park up, I like find a seat. I'm sitting
there minding my own business, and this nice lady next

(00:43):
to me is like, hey, do you mind watching my
seat really quick? And I'm like, yeah, sure, no problem, right,
I do this for people all the time at the airport.
So she leaves. Someone comes up to me, Hey, is
the seat taken? Yeah, I don't know where this girl is.
Ten minutes goes by fifteen minutes, goes by. Twenty minutes
goes by. Multiple people are asking me if there's somebody

(01:06):
sitting in the seat next to me, and I'm saying, yes,
there's somebody sitting here, and I don't know who they are,
and then they're.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Not even there now yet a long time. People are
starting to question you, yes, like I.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Don't want anybody sitting next to me, like are you
feeling committed to this?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
And so I'm like starting to get like panicky, it's
what forty five minutes goes by?

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Okay, forty five minutes This.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Chick comes back with French fries in her backpack, smelling
like she just smoked a doobie outside. No. Yes, And
I literally looked at her and I was just like,
I've been saving the seat for forty five minutes, so
that something. Literally I thought she's going to the bathroom.
I had no idea like that she might seem just
like I'll be right back, and then she said sound

(01:47):
for like five minutes, doesn't say thank you or offer
me any French fries, and then gets called up to
the window.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
You didn't know she was going to our engineer's house
and getting French fries.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I was so I was just.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Like, uh yeah, but this is it. This is it.
The question is would you rather be the person that
people don't feel comfortable approaching or be the person that
is approachable and maybe you're taking advantage of a few times.
I'd rather be the latter. Is that the second one
I always forget to. I hate when people say that.

(02:23):
I'm like, ah, that whole sorry, that a whole few
minutes made my dead. Yes, you'd rather be the ladder,
you are the latter, Peyton Bill Neck. Then it's time
for Ryan's roses seven four

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
