Speaker 1 (00:00):
I was running on schedule the other day and then
I spilt my coffee twice, Like, how do you do that?
How do you spill your coffee twice? I know how.
I was wearing a hoodie that was not zipped up
and it was heavy, and it hit my coffee cup
like a flag right like waving in the wind, knocked
it over twice. It happens, and I ye, but I

(00:21):
don't like it. I've seen you. It's going better. I
know it's my new look. Okay, so tiny, can we
talk about this outing that you had in Largemont Village
because I look at people posting food or like brunch,
like you know, good stuff in LA and especially if

(00:42):
it's something new or buzzworthy. And you saw this place
in Largemont Village, which is called Max and Helen's.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
It's been all over my feed. Like when I tell
you every single person in my feed's going, I'm seeing
like food bloggers going and posting their reviews. Selena Gomez
went after the Golden Globes and had breakfast for dinner,
Like this place is like all the rage and I've
been begging.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Comfort food, dining food, comfort food, but like really good.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, pancakes, waffles, eggs hot the hot chocolate is what
I really want to try. And so Robbie and I went,
I've been like convincing him. I'm like, please, I really
really want to try this place. Please come with me,
Please come with me. So we got like a weird
we go early, we go like a weird time. I
think it was like nine on a Tuesday. It was
that that week between Christmas and New Year's. We walk up.

(01:32):
They don't take reservations, so and there's always a line,
so we were expecting to wait. We walk up to
the hostesses and we're like, how long is the wait?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Eight hours? Come on, that's not real, it's Robbie even
come back.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yes, you can put your number and you have to
stay kind of like around. You're not like wait in
the line out there around.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
You could literally get two more meals before you know,
to work, finish a day and go back.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Robbie was like, at a principle, he goes, I'm never
coming back. He was so upset, and I was like,
I really want to try this on chocolate. I really
want to get in there. I will come back and
have breakfast or dinner, Like please give and put our
name down.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Did you know how does somebody say eight hours with
a straight face, just tell.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Us you're full and come back tomorrow, like you know
what I mean?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Like that's and how did she know it's eight hours?
Like it could be six or not. How many people
have and those many people came and put those names
their names down that morning.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, And so apparently there were people that were standing
outside and they were like, we got here two hours
before they opened, and we're going to be in in
like an hour and a half. So they were only like,
you did not go. We did not go. And I'm
still really wanting to try with chocolate and the pancakes,
go shopping and then come back here.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Why don't you send it here? Tony? You go now
put your name in and then the table when you
could literally drive to Redlands and back to get hot chocolate,
you could watch all of Stranger Things season five.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I think if you go at a certain time, the
weight could be like two hours or like an hour
and a half. Maybe that's so much.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
You said you went around the holidays.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I feel like that's yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Maybe giving tourists there like no no restaurant in the
history of restaurants. Has ever told anybody there's an eight
or nine. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
It makes me want to go there even more.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I'm down.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I'm down.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
I want to see what all the hype's about for
hot chocolate and pancakes past. But it does sound great
and the pictures look good. Let me know if it's
worth it.
