Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you, thank you for listening to us.
Ryan Air on Air with a Ryan Seacrest listening and Tanya,
good morning everybody to the back room.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Morning.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
It is Tuesday, November eleventh, eighty degrees, so you wouldn't
know it's November eighty degrees. Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving a week
and a half ish away. Yeah, it's gonna come fast,
of course. Yeah, Christmas two and a half. Okay, Hi Ruby, Hello,
anything we need to know?
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Maybe something?
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Hello, something meaning it's just nothing yet, but nothing yet
coming up? Yeah, Kayla, Mikayla, did you find him yet?
Did you find your human?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
I have not, not yet. I'm still on the lookout.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
I feel like if I don't check in Ciciny and
Tiny with Mikayla, she might just covertly operate some sort
of a mission with some dude, you know, like if
we don't ask, she's going to tell.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Well, let's check in with you too.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
How are you No dude, No dude, no dude, no dude,
no dude.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Any dates?
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Let me think on this one. No, but it's been
a lot of family time, so dating has not been
a top priority. Now we have a special guest here
from our American top forty on Earth, Ryan Seacrest East
Coast Satellite Desk. Basically she works from home. But Samantha,
(01:29):
it sounded very very official. Samanthas here from the East
Coast coming in? That's right? Did you come because it's
not great to be in New York and the Upper
East Coast area this time of year.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Because it's very cold?
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Well?
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yeah, yeah, I decided to come out for the eighty
degree weather in November.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
I don't know that that's so fair. You just show
up when it's nice weather here. What are you doing
while you're out here from New York?
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Honestly, nothing too exciting. I'm just visiting my boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
So do you guys live on different coasts? We do?
Speaker 5 (02:05):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (02:05):
How many years have you been doing that?
Speaker 5 (02:08):
Years?
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Years? Living l a New York?
Speaker 5 (02:11):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
How do you do that? And why do you do that?
Speaker 4 (02:16):
All great questions with us?
Speaker 1 (02:19):
We're not keeping him here.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
I know, I know, I know, I know. The natural
next step is for me to move out here.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Oh this is good. See finally, just a couple of questions.
I got some good juice. I was. I'm looking for
a little line of drama here, right, a little storyline.
So all right, what's the deciding fact? Are you here
feeling it out? Is that why you're here? Is this
a is this a trial mission?
Speaker 4 (02:43):
I mean, anytime I come out here it feels like
a trial.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Uh. Is he pushing you to move out here?
Speaker 4 (02:49):
You know, he's been very, very nice about it. You'd
think he'd be a little bit more pushy, but he's not,
which is very.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
So he's a good guy. I mean, he's not pushy.
The guy's been doing this for seven years. It's very chill,
I know.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
But for now I have I'm Gold MVP status on
Alaska Airlines.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
So does that mean you get a free beverage?
Speaker 4 (03:08):
I do, Yes, Yes, upgrade our leg room.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I just want to say, now that we're on the
topic of seven years of living in different cities, I
would not have the endurance to do it. But you
did a handful of years, didn't you.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
Who Ever, No, I feel like you had an East
coast West coast situation for a minute.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I don't think so. I don't think so. No. I
think when I moved to anywhere or was going back
and forth from anywhere, someone was with me, and then
it was not anyway it ended sadly, Sam, So hopefully
it goes well for you, all right, and welcome to
Los Angeles and kiss FM LA. Come on, this is
the time of year we shine. We are shining bright
(03:54):
with eighty degrees upper eighties inland. Thursday is looking wet.
So yeah, so guys today no school Veterans Day saluiting
our veterans family, veterans of mine, father Gary a veteran,
grandfather veteran, both of the Army. Any other veteran shoutouts
you guys want to make while around the Veterans' Day
(04:16):
moment just to everyone who is one. Yeah, it is amazing,
you know, to dedicate your your time, your risk, your life,
your not being around family in so many cases and
moving around. My grandparents moved around every single summer. I
went to a different place for summer vacation. That's wild.
I mean was interesting because I was a kid and
(04:38):
we would He'd be like at a base in Saint Louis.
So I wanted to go to the Budweiser factory. Didn't.
He was at a base in Battle Creek, Michigan. So
I wanted to go to Kellogg factory. I did. He
was at a base in Pennsylvania. So I wanted to
go to Hershey factory. I did. Why do you want
to go to so many factories? You know? It is
an interesting concept, isn't it that I should bring up
the therapist? I don't have right, that was the exciting
(05:00):
thing you wanted to do?
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I find it fascinating the process, like, for example, I
want to know if I'm ordering a fish, like where'd
that fish come from? How to get there?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:12):
It doesn't sound so bored by it. It is interesting, though.
I find the was it logistics market? Like I think
FedEx is the most fascinating company on the planet? Or Amazon?
Speaker 5 (05:25):
Now?
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Like logistics? How things get to you? Over and right? What?
Like that cruise ship documentary? Where are you seeing all
get on the cruise ship? And how long they dispose
of the garbage? Had me just totally sucked. And speaking
of documentaries, I don't know when is our weekend watch.
It's not for a few days. I started with that
that Ben Stiller documentary about his parents. Have we talked
(05:48):
about that?
Speaker 5 (05:49):
No?
Speaker 1 (05:49):
And I have not seen it?
Speaker 2 (05:50):
So good?
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah, so far, I'm like twenty minutes, Sam, it's good,
you'll get I'm that guy if you get me for
twenty and I like it. Yeah, I like Easton. You
like factories. I hear you like engineers like factories? Yeah,
what is it about factories? I love factories. I went
(06:11):
to the Ford factory. I've been at the Tabasco factory.
Then you like that, like I hear you face and
nose when you go to Tabasco. It does. But you
know I'm built different like you went to jelly Belly.
That's a fun.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
When I was a kid, my parents took me up there.
They went to NAPA and then they took us to
jelly Belly factory.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
They were small. Yeah, what factory should we visit next?
If they're giving any tours and visits. But it is
fascinating to see how things happen because you don't realize
until you see it how much work and how many
people go into that work of something you might take
for granted. Yeah, when need to salute that now? Earlier
I was asking Ruby, what do I need to know?
I didn't know I needed to know anything, except I
(06:50):
hear something I need to know is upon us. Yes, Oh,
I thought it said your water broke.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
Mark.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Different, honestly different. I didn't know you're pregnant. But then
Mark came posted. He's like, Ruby's water broke, and so
I'm just brain trained to go what does that mean?
Speaker 2 (07:19):
You're like marriage baby.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I don't know when I see water and break, I
don't think that you heater.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yes, I could see the mistake.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Look at this, it's just Entiny been grooming me for
years on how to handle life. So your hot water.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Broke, yes, like you don't realize how much you need
Slash want hot water until it is gone, and then
you're like me and David were trying to fix it,
but we of course have no idea how to fix
a water heater. So we're on like TikTok YouTube trying
to find the best video to help us reboot it, essentially,
but we had the luck.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
No, no, I'm not a cold showery kind of guy.
I got buddies are like, yeah, I take a two
minutes splash shower and I feel, yeah, what happened? My
tea is fine? I think in warm water, get over yourself,
take a cold job. It's like they brag about it.
What are you gonna do it? M go home and
(08:14):
change and call it. Yeah it's good. Yeah, choose some sunflowers.
Speaker 7 (08:24):
So funny to say that Robbie just got like three
giant bags of them.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
And the minute he gets home he starts chomping on.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Baseball because they watch the World Series. Le's go up
during the World Series, go to the factory and find out.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Let's go obnoxious.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
All right, jingle ball tickets. Next, we're on Kiss FM.
It's a Tuesday. We're gonna make it feel like a Wednesday.
Chargers twenty five, Steelers, ten Chargers Now what seven and three? Right?
Second place? Yeah, we're pretty good right now. I'm loving it.
There are two types of people, those people who can
walk into a room and attention just finds them, then
narrow those people that walk into a room and want
(09:01):
to find attention. Which one is Michael? He's actually both.
I think he wanted some attention.
Speaker 6 (09:11):
He So, Michael is getting to the point where he
wants to be on the Jumbo turn. I feel every game.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
What's with him? Is it because of the coldplay thing?
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Ah?
Speaker 6 (09:19):
No, that would be weird, But I think it's just
he likes it. I mean it's fun. I don't mind
being on the jumper either.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
It's exciting. Yeah, But he's like dresses for it like this,
what like what what do they look for?
Speaker 6 (09:35):
You know, like obnoxious people sometimes. And so we're getting
ready for the game on Sunday and and he wanted
to wear his Halloween costume and I was like why,
and he for referenced he was the garbage Man from
the Minecraft movie, which is Jason Momoa's character.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
And he wears like.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
A fringe hot pink leather jacket and a wig and
like crazy sunglasses. And I'm like, Michael is not. And
even if it was, maybe that would make more sense.
But he just wanted a bright color to get on
the JumboTron. He eventually just did a jersey and a vest,
but he still had a giant chain with like the
Charger emblem hanging on him.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Is he successful? Did the JumboTron captain find him? Of course?
And he got on and he was successful.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
But I'm like, he's one game away from like painting
a lightning bolt on his face and being that guy.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
I liked the team spirit. Now when he was on,
were you wan as well? Was it kiss cam JumboTron?
I was.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
He was next to our friend's husband and then his
wife was next to me.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
So now I was like the furthest away from him.
So I did not get home. And let me put
me in that scenario. I'm next to my friend's husband,
your friends, yes, my friends, dude, a guy, a guy.
I would kiss him. There's not a kiss cam.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
They're all kiss Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
This was just like fun, you know. But I feel
like when the thing when the camera comes on you,
you're supposed to look for somebody kiss no matter what. No,
he was like owling at the camera and like got charge.
Is one of those moments, totally one of those moments.
All right, I'm looking at his uh pink jacket. Oh
my gosh, that would definitely stand out. Michael, go for it,
(11:13):
and there's sicany alone o. Man, you know what. And
I didn't support it, which is why I don't think
he wore it. But I did. I said, I said,
you do you and he's like, well, that doesn't sound
like Michael. Michael and your bandmates who are listening, I
think you should do it. We all think you should
do what the consensus is. Do it. Sidney will get
past it.
Speaker 6 (11:29):
Yeah, maybe you'll get him like a like a turkey
hat for the next game that we also.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
I was wrong with the lightning bolt on his face.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
Nothing, nothing, But I'm like, you know you're gonna be
that guy.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Like listen, University of Georgia bulldogs. That dog's going through puberty.
That dog, that dog is growing. That dog needs to
the event. That dog has some squealing issue. So I see.
You know you got the students all body painted, right,
his shirts are off, their body painted. He's a step
away from that. That's fine. Yeah, body paint that chest,
(12:01):
that smooth chest of yours. Oh man, we're not ready
for that. All right, let's come back here. One of
two point seven Kiss FM. If your phone battery is
getting low, what can you do? Switch to a little
power obviously, go do not disturb. But there's something I
was reading that says you'll save the most batter if
you do this. I'll take in a second of Kiss.
I think my my phone needs a new I think
(12:21):
I need a new surface or a new phone or
something like you guys have any glitches? My text messages
are glitch Like. I will try and type it, nothing happens.
That's just me, or is that you.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
I just got the new I phone, so it was time.
But my phone before that was doing all the glitching
and my batteries, and.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
It's amazing how like impatient we've become as a person
that the glass won't slip or slide, and I get
so frustrated. Tell you want to say.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
I feel like it might be human error with.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Respectfully, I don't think so. It's buffering a lot more
than it should be. You know, my phone is like
you not blinking right now, you know, and you don't blink.
It just for like stares at you from and she
stares at you. Well, my phone staring at me. It's
not doing anything that I'm sliding it to do. Have
you done like a hard reset?
Speaker 5 (13:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Its too long? It doesn't take that long at all,
it does. I don't know why I squeezed the button
so hard.
Speaker 6 (13:14):
I think you're doing it right. That's not a hard reset.
You need to like ghost.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
An engineer here, give them your phone hardset, hard reset.
But you just press the button hard, right, Yeah? Yeah hard?
You mean like you squeeze the button to.
Speaker 6 (13:29):
Almost there's something in settings you can go and wait
it all and then when you pair it back on,
you hold the volume up button and the power button
until you see the Apple logo.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Right, But you've squeezed very hard, hard shutdown right, not
that I get like ten to night, I squeeze the thing.
Let me tell you about phone, so your battery. Now
you can do the things we know, low power, all
that stuff. But they say if you keep it face down,
if you keep the phone screen side down, it's light
and proximity sensors keep your screen dark, and it saves
(13:57):
a lot of battery. So if you're in a buying
to put that thing face down. Today's quote, the fastest
way to succeed is to look as if you're playing
by somebody else's rules while quietly playing by your own.
Is that playing somebody? Wow? This FM headlines with siciny well.
Speaker 6 (14:19):
The Senate passed a funding bill last night that would
end the government shutdown. The bill now heads to the
House of Representatives, which could vote on it as soon
as tomorrow. The city of Pasadena is asking for a
restraining order preventing UCLA from moving its home football games.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Out of the Rose Bowl.
Speaker 6 (14:38):
La Metro's Tap to Exit program is returning to the
North Hollywood and Union Station stops after being paused back
in April, and Hilary Duff announced her first tour in
over a decade, which we'll conclude with a show at
the Wiltern on January twenty ninth, fifty eight in Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Your second Date update if you're out there dating Fonds,
you're dating, aren't you.
Speaker 8 (15:01):
No, I'm waiting for Single Writers to open up so
I can do that.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
What like a Disneyland like when you go on the ride.
I'm confused.
Speaker 8 (15:15):
What there's a there's an app called Single Writers where
eventually they're going to get single uh, theme park enthusiasts
to start mingling. So I'm waiting for that.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
Time because he's saying that those are going to be
his people, like he wants to meet somebody that's like him.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Oh right, so that's your version of the tribe, right, Like, yes,
your people minded people.
Speaker 8 (15:37):
The target female audience is emo, goth, batty who likes
haunted mansion.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
That's exactly your dream girl. You know, when you see
somebody and they tell you their type is so opposite
of them, you're taking a back That's happened to me
right now. Yes, I'm living in that moment right now.
Speaker 8 (15:51):
People, especially especially my sister, who will bring up a
little bit later. She's told me that I would be
the typical Golden retriever boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
If I were to, I was called a puppy ones more,
what are you doing? Finds its Veterans Day. We salute
our veterans. My father was in the Army. My grandfather
was in the Army as well. It was just so
special to see as a kid, you know what they
(16:20):
were doing. And of course it's amazing when you dedicate
your life and your family's life to the service. So
for veterans, a lot of different businesses are giving you perks, right, Fani,
what do you have on your list?
Speaker 8 (16:30):
Yeah, so before you even get to it, I just
want to shout out my sister Giselle. She is now
retired as she's a veteran now, but she served under
the Army as well as private first class and yeah,
honestly we did this last year. Now that she has
a girlfriend, her girlfriend's a beneficiary of these benefits, so
I'll find.
Speaker 9 (16:50):
Your partner gets the benefit as well. Yeah on some
of these deals, right, So let's go first. One's going
to be Applebee's, so service members can get a free
entree off of their veterans date. You It's like seven
options that you could choose from and you also get
a five dollars gift card towards a future purchase after
you make that Veterans Day purchase. So I think it's
one of the most generous options of the deals that
we have this year. Another one's gonna be Chipotle, So
(17:13):
a lot of veterans are also fitness enthusiasts, and so
they're giving you a two protein for one deal. So
like you could get like barbacoa and carne asada, or
let's say like the sofridas and something else, right, but
you could get two proteins on an entree that the
price of one.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
It's pretty great. Everything I read says more protein. You
gotta get more protein in your systems, right exactly.
Speaker 8 (17:33):
And so now this is one of those deals where
it also extends to spouses and for being a sibling.
Last year we did coffee Bean and tea Leaf and
so we got a free regular sized drink of your choice,
So again also extends to spouses and or family. Red
Robin also has a military so anyone with a military idea,
you could get a complimentary Red Big Tavern burger with
(17:55):
a choice of bottomless sides, so it could be bottomless fries,
bottomless undy rings you know anything.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Of And these are all Phonsie's freebies that he found
for Veterans Day. One more, one more.
Speaker 8 (18:04):
We got a Starbucks, so anybody who is a military
service member and their spouses you could get a free tall,
hot or ice coffee of your choice. So it's gonna
be exciting, and so yeah, I'm really eager to do
this again. Maybe hopefully my sister will turn down her
girlfriend for a day and I get to do this
again next year. Yeah with that, but I also before
(18:26):
I finish up, I just wanted to say thank you
to all of our service members and their families as well,
for you know, just sacrificing their you know, their time,
their effort, their energy to just really serve this country.
And so especially to my sister and some of our
family members. Yeah, thank you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
It really is something that we need to not just
honor today, but honor all of the time. Thank you
Phonsie for highlighting that and all of these up. If
you're on the go, are at kiss FM dot com
slash Ryan if you want to recap that her when
their laptop power cords got tangled, What does it deal
with coffee swaps and tangled. Ye, these things, it's a
(19:01):
mishap turned today they were I don't know. I don't
haven't met Nathan yet. Let me find Nathan here on
the line and find out more detail. Nathan, good morning,
my friend. Where were you when your laptop power chords
got tangled with her?
Speaker 5 (19:17):
Yeah? So we were at a coffee shop. Our chords
got tangled.
Speaker 10 (19:22):
I sat up in my chair and pulled hers out
of the outlet, so I plugged back in again. But honestly,
I have my eye on her for a while, and
I thought that she was checking me out a few times.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
So as she was packing up, I made a joke
about how it's fate that our chords got tangled, and
she laughed, and then I said, maybe I should get
your numbers. It is fate. So I took her out
and it was awesome.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
How did you get her number? Did you have to
type it in or did you do that thing where
you put the phones up to each other and it
just automatic disposises?
Speaker 5 (19:53):
I typed it in. Sam.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Have you done that where Samantha, where you just touched
the phone and it gives you some of okay, am
I right?
Speaker 4 (20:01):
Yeah, you're right, you have like the top of both
phones have to touch the boom.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah, okay, because I'm afraid I'm gonna give them all
my content. You're not well, she hasn't been here. She's
from New York.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
She's just visiting every day to the show.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, oh you do. That's nice of you. Yes, thank you.
Oh you work for iHeart, that's nice. He works for us.
You work for us out I heeart. Yes, but you
work in this show. But I don't see her because
she's on an East coast aside. There's a bunch of
people you don't see. Well, I love them, and they're
on our zoom right now, I can see I can
see the grid. Yeah all right, So Nathan, who's the woman?
(20:36):
Heidi's her name? Yes? What was the first date? Walk
me through it?
Speaker 5 (20:42):
We went to off the Hook? Do you know that place.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Of places? Yea, though where is the hook? Because you're
in rossmore right? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah, all right, Well go on,
what happened you get to the place not hooking?
Speaker 5 (21:02):
Well, I mean I made it laughful lot. I was
really pleased by my first state performance. I thought that
I was funny.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
About that was exceptional this night, well, I asked a
lot of questions.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
Conversation really flowed. I complimented her outfit.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Compliments and curiosity are paramount, right.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
Well, I'm not sure how it could have been any
better truly?
Speaker 1 (21:27):
All right, Well, do you have any ideas you replay
this in your head? Watch the game film? What went wrong?
Speaker 5 (21:32):
I mean, maybe I overshared. I'm weird those stories like
I have family stuff, you know, I kept telling her
stories that she was laughing, so I kept doing. But
I don't know. Maybe I came on too strong. I
have a big personality, So.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
What was it you told might have turned her away?
Speaker 5 (21:53):
I just you know, my siblings that are wild, and
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Maybe she what they don't you how wild can be?
Speaker 5 (22:03):
Seez? I feel like I don't want to tell all
of Los Angeles about my family. Yeah, they just uh there,
they got big personalities as well, Nathan.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Then he's cut to the chaseas I want to meet
Heidi and find out why she bailed on you. Basically,
you thought it was a major picture leading man performance.
Then was you rehashed it? When you get back to
you started thinking that maybe you told her too much
about your family, which made her afraid of you or
turned off by you.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
All right, Well, let's find out. The good news is
Heidi has agreed with the back room to come on
the air next. Here one of two point seven kids.
Seven Nathan will listen in to what she has to say. Well,
she doesn't know he's there, so Nathan reached out to us.
Heidi doesn't know that he has, and we're going to
talk to her next. So Nathan, just listen in. Let
us find out why Heidi blew you off. You think
(22:58):
maybe it's because you over shared about your family. Who
are quote characters? Right?
Speaker 5 (23:03):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (23:04):
Okay, Heidi, thank you for coming on. Good morning. I
just want to tell you. My name is Ryan, I
have Sistey and Tanya, and you are on the air
this morning here on Kiss FM. How are you hi?
Speaker 11 (23:16):
Hi?
Speaker 5 (23:17):
Uh honestly a little freak out. Why are you calling me?
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Uh? Well, we're calling you to talk to you about
your personal life. I mean guy named Nathan. Did you
meet a guy named Nathan having some coffee and working
on your laptop?
Speaker 5 (23:33):
Oh god, okay, Tithon's weird.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
But that's true, right, Yes, okay, And tell me did
you like Nathan, did you hit it off with the guy?
Speaker 5 (23:46):
I mean, okay, it was fine, but I I don't know.
I want to be with somebody that makes me a priority,
you know, respect, especially on a first date.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
What happened?
Speaker 5 (24:02):
So for the date after we met, we went out,
we went to a restaurant, and he literally watched a
baseball game on his phone.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Was it the World Series Dodgers?
Speaker 5 (24:14):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Oh yes, that's so annoying.
Speaker 7 (24:17):
The World Series Planet date on that night with your
boys and then go on the date tomorrow?
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Whatever?
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Did he include you? Like? Were you watching it with him?
Speaker 11 (24:31):
No?
Speaker 1 (24:31):
I was not watching it with him, right, No?
Speaker 5 (24:34):
I mean he wasn't really even being secretive like he
reacted when somebody hit a home run. It's like, what
are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Got it?
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Now?
Speaker 1 (24:44):
I understand how that's not so nice in terms of attention,
But I mean they were going for back to back
world championships, and I think that if it were me Sisant,
I would have disclaimed it by going, hey, I really
want to hang. I also am like a big Dodger Van.
Is it cool if we do something? Watch the game?
Speaker 11 (24:59):
Like?
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Maybe just why that's the exactly like the game, not
a different restaurant. Maybe, so it's on a big screen,
so you don't feel like put attention into your little
screen the week after the date, Yes, not watch the game?
Speaker 6 (25:12):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Correct?
Speaker 1 (25:13):
All right, So that's it. You just didn't feel like
you were respected with your time and your attention, which
is a very fair point. It could be a red flag,
it could mean that's a character flaw. Nathan is on
the line with us right now, Heidi, listening to all
of us talk about him. Nathan, do you now understand
he was concerned, Heidie that you blow him off because
he thought he was a gave a great performance on
(25:35):
the date. Do you understand, Nathan, Ryan, I got.
Speaker 5 (25:38):
To defend myself here, Okay, Heidi. I would argue that
I did make you a priority. You said you were
available Saturday night, which was game two with the World Series,
And what did I do? I said, you know what,
the scroll is special. I am taking her out during
a World Series game. That is a huge deal. So
I took it off the hook where I knew that
(25:59):
would have the game ONLA They sat us outside. There
aren't any TVs outside, so I put the game on
my phone and rested it on.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
But Nathan it's just the whole cadence right now. No,
it's not, it's not right. It's sometimes things are just
not meant to fall into place, right. This is one
of those things.
Speaker 6 (26:21):
Yeah, if Heidi was a Dodger fan, then this would
be a matchmate and heaven. But Michael and I bonded
over the Lakers being in the playoffs one like one
ur second dates and we watched it together and like
that was one of the things, like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
You're a Laker fan too common denominated like Nathan, I
want to find someone that's truly impatient, right, I don't.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
We're both being impatient.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Wouldn't that be relatable? No, you need someone that goes
with the flow and like deals with you. Oh so
I need my tubs to my Easton Yes, two engineers one. Yeah, uh,
money is the patient a female version enough tubs would
be perfect for you. Actually, literally, let's talk about that.
Speaker 7 (27:04):
But no, Heidi, I'm with you. This is just foreshadowing
next thing. You know, you're gonna be married.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
And he's gonna be watching football day forget about you
on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Sounds personal. This is great, this is good news. You guys,
just realize you're not meant for each other, which is fine.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
Nathan's Yeah, because if she was a Dodger fan, like,
she'd be right there with you over your shoulder. It
could have been super cute you guys sharing it on
your phone. Yes, but it's not a match, just team related.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
With me again. I'm just gonna I'm just gonna throw
it up with me again. Shoot your shots?
Speaker 12 (27:44):
Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Yes, which is I have lost complete direction? Listen, it's
rough out there.
Speaker 6 (27:50):
I mean, when you find somebody you have a connection with,
even if it was a little rocky, go for it.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
Okay, Well, I'm going to talk the latter schedule then.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Well, Olivia Dean, Nikki Downing, good morning.
Speaker 11 (28:07):
Good morning.
Speaker 5 (28:08):
How are you.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
We're fine, let's talk about you. So your brother keeps
chasing butterflies. What's the problem.
Speaker 5 (28:17):
Yeah, like, do you know what that means?
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Oh? Yeah, but again I don't know why. I've a
little in second year this morning, but I was thinking
that's odd this time of year. But yeah, yes, So
let me put this together based on knowledge I have
from previous courses hosting this show with Sissy and Tanya.
He's chasing butterflies. These are people that like come and go,
(28:43):
they don't commit.
Speaker 12 (28:45):
Yeah, yeah, like you know, like early like in a relationship,
you get like butterflies when you're with a person, and
it's just like that's all he's interested in.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
And failing butterflies not the fluttering of butterflies.
Speaker 12 (28:58):
No, no, no, he like feels them like the second
that like he's interested and like then he goes away
and then he just bails.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Well, like he bails after the honeymoon. Yeah, I don't
not understand that.
Speaker 7 (29:11):
Yeah, feels like a great question for right, let's let's
get his answer.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
Ni brother, So how come we help?
Speaker 5 (29:21):
I know, like I'm just I'm just worried because he's
thirty three and it's time to focus on finding something solid.
But but this is a problem.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
You can't tell him what I was just going to say.
You got to stay out of your brothers, and a
thirty three might be different than a thirty three for
you for him.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
Now, maybe she wants to understand why he's doing it.
Can you shed some light on her for that?
Speaker 5 (29:41):
Yeah? Well, I mean the longest relationship he's ever had,
like eight months, and I just want to help them, Like,
but he broke her heart and he's broken like a
lot of heart.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
But has he come to you asking for her?
Speaker 12 (29:51):
Yeah, well not necessarily, but like I just look, I'm I'm,
I'm his younger sister and he's always looking for this
thrill and I just I think he's lost a cause.
Speaker 5 (30:03):
And like, okay, so here's my question, Like, first of all,
can you break someone from that habit?
Speaker 12 (30:09):
And like, also, Ryan, do you think like this is
your issue?
Speaker 5 (30:13):
Like are you a butterfly?
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Ki? I know you had an issue Ryan who asked
Nikki to call around here? You guys put this in
We don't know Nikki. Well, so Nikki, I don't know
if that's my thing. I mean, I just think that
there's been a couple of different variables in my equation,
(30:38):
one being timing, two being open to it, and then
the third being timing again. But the timing is getting better.
I found out my sister was talking to one of
my friends behind my back, saying, really wanted to meet somebody,
Like what and she hasn't talked to you about it?
You shouldn't said that to me. Now she said, I
(31:00):
have a best girlfriend. Yes, and she said it to her.
It's like really great if he could meet somebody. I'm like, wall,
wait a minute, that makes me feel But how does
that make me feel? Well?
Speaker 2 (31:11):
I tell you this every day.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
I know, but not behind my back. Oh okay, okay,
you tell him from of all these people for some
reason that makes me more comfortable. What does that say?
What am I chasing? Now? All right? Nick, came back
to your brother. I think you got to stay out
of it until he asks. You can't. You can't wish
for him what you want for him. He's gotta want
(31:33):
what he wants for him, and he may not know
what he wants yet or do you care this much?
Just talk to him?
Speaker 5 (31:40):
Yeah, I guess, I guess you're right. I just you know,
I don't want him to see that like him throw away,
like a lot of good people.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
So well, thank you for trusting us enough to call
us about your brother and me with the same question.
And good luck on this, Nikki. Keep us posting on
your own and I go over the eight months. FYI,
that's true, that's true. It's not chuckle funny Ruby maybe
(32:14):
a year three or four? Mark knows. Yeah, all right, Nikki,
thanks that one. Well south fast, all right, let's come back.
What are we doing? Kiss? All right, if you want
to play for that, I need one caller one eight
hundred five to two. I want to two seven it kids,
Have you want to play for those? Jingle ball tickets
were sent up by Capital One. Now it's gonna be
(32:35):
nice today. We've got some rain, you said, see on
the way. Yeah, it's coming Thursday looking very wet. And
have you heard? These are at Starbucks? The bar east
is b E A R EASTA right, cops, right, Yes.
Speaker 6 (32:49):
They came out last Thursday, and they sold out in minutes,
like they were gone. A lot of people were actually
blaming some of the employees. There was claims that employees
were snagging them before customers could. There was chaos, it
was a frenzy. It was people getting in fights, long lines,
like all the things.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
But these bear cups. I don't know why this happens.
It is insanity to me. It's like my honey, squeezer. Yeah,
that's exactly what it looks like.
Speaker 6 (33:17):
But everybody wanted them to cost about like thirty dollars,
and now they're selling them everywhere for like one hundred.
And they're basically reselling them for I saw ones for
one seventy.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
I saw one for over one thousand dollars. This is
what Starbucks needs, though, right, don't they? I mean I
was reading I don't know what I was reading, Mark,
I'm making this up, but I was reading that they
needed to return to their roots a little bit and
get people talking about Starbucks to coffee shop, not just
the place to go hang out. Right, sure, but.
Speaker 6 (33:41):
This is like not even about coffee. This is just
about getting some little plasticy.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Bear cause it's buzzy. It's buzzy.
Speaker 11 (33:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (33:47):
So people are getting on this for the dupe culture
as well. So you can get these ones that are
not the Starbucks ones on Amazon Walmart for about twenty
dollars if you really have to get your hands on
one of these. This is giving me like stly Cup energy.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Meets La Boo Boos meats, like these things coming they go.
So if you can play the long game, you won't
spend all the money exactly exactly.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
But I still don't get why there is like such
a freak out moment for something like this.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
This is it's always the least expected thing becomes the
thing that people want to talk about because you can't
get it, yes, and then in a year it's laying
around in a chest of drawers. They know those booboo
the lab boo boos or whatever one is.
Speaker 6 (34:26):
Like, just I saw I opened up a cabinet the
other day, was like, oh, look at that.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Remember when I used to carry that on my purse. No,
it's Starbucks shoved in the corner. New CEO says, we're
returning to our roots. The plan called back to Starbucks,
simplifying the menu, writing names on the cups, and renovating
the stores to include more comfortable seating. And then these
little squeezies. I know, and I guess.
Speaker 6 (34:45):
This Thursday is a Red Cup Day at Starbucks, Free
red reusable cups with a holiday drink purchase.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Love that. Coming up next, we're playing for jingle ball tickets.
It's called Name That So Cow City Tuesday morning, November eleven.
Thank you all for listening to us. Let's give away
some jingle ball tickets. Are you ready to play City? Hello?
How are you? Anthony Gory in Orange County Man?
Speaker 13 (35:18):

my daughters.
Speaker 1 (35:22):

Speaker 5 (35:25):
Uh?
Speaker 13 (35:25):
Ten and fourteen? In love with K pop?
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (35:30):
Great?
Speaker 1 (35:31):
You know obviously, that's why you're calling got that special
performance K pop demon Hunters Hunterrick's going to be at
our show. Yes, okay, yeah, my kids, here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
The first Denny's opened in this So Cal city in
nineteen fifty three. Was it a Temple City B Santa
Monica or C Lakewood?
Speaker 13 (36:16):

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Temple City Centre in Lakewood Denny's.
Speaker 13 (36:23):
I'm gonna say Temple City.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
No, it was Lake what Bellflower and it was called
Denny's Donuts back in the day. Now number two, the
first California Pizza Kitchen CPK opened in Southern California in
this city in nineteen eighty five. Was it a Beverly Hills,
(36:48):
b Woodland Hills or C Redlands? O tough, so.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
Tough, so random?
Speaker 1 (36:58):
Yeah, and it's still there.
Speaker 11 (37:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (37:03):
So I'm gonna say, can I get.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
The Beverly Hills, Woodland Hills or Redlands.
Speaker 13 (37:11):
Let's say Redlands.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
No, it's Beverly Hills. Here are you gonna get this
one to stay alive for your two daughters who are
counting on you. BJ's group, BJ's right. First open in
this SoCal city in nineteen seventy eight, A Costa Mesa, B.
Santa Anna or CE Lancaster.
Speaker 13 (37:39):
Oh God, what was the first one?
Speaker 1 (37:43):
Coasta Masa, Santa Anna or Lancaster? Did you want me
to repeat the third one? Santa Anna? No, Santa Anna
is the second one. Did you want me to repeat
the second one? Yeah, okay, I will. Santa Anna is
the second one? Santa Anna is the second one? Yeah,
that's right. Job this one. Sizzler first, opening this oak
(38:05):
Cal city in nineteen fifty eight Culver City, Ranch Cucamonga
or oak Park brand Shot or Culver City or oak Park.
Speaker 5 (38:18):
Uh, Culver City.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
Yes, yeah you do. Your two daughters are counting on you.
This is a pivotal moment in your life.
Speaker 13 (38:28):
I know.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
The first coffee bean and tea leaf Brother Anthony, Orange
County opened in this soak Cal city in nineteen sixty three. A. Sagas, B.
Duarte or F. Brentwood. What are those letters?
Speaker 13 (38:50):
Uh Brentwood?
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Oh, yes, you actually got thatulations you didn't a first
win in print with Country Mark. What are you gonna
tell your.
Speaker 13 (39:07):
Girls when they get home from school?
Speaker 1 (39:12):
No, no, don't surprise them in the best way you deserve it.
Enjoy it. We can't wait to see you guys.
Speaker 13 (39:17):
There all right, bro, Oh my gosh, thank you brother.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
Of course you got it. Anthony, Orange County making his
little girls proud when they're in school getting those jingle
bow tickets. Anthony from the name that's so called city
game is on the line. He did not get many
without some aided suggestions, but he's on the line. He
did get them. In the end, he's going to take
us two daughters to our jingle boll Anthony. Is there
anything we can do else? Anything else we can do?
Speaker 5 (39:41):
Yes? Sure.
Speaker 13 (39:42):
I was just wondering ucause they kind of cand of
afford buying the sake of myself. I got MS and
I'm on a fixed income, and h yeah, I kind
of wanted to know if my whole family can come.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Sure, how many are you?
Speaker 13 (39:59):
There's there's like four of us, but my daughter's little
cousin wants to come to.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Why not? Anthony? Fine, you asked you? Yeah, exactly know
sometimes you don't know if you don't ask. So you
need for your daughter, and then two more pair you
need six. I think he needs five. You just all
to anybody listening to the morning show tomorrow. We have
no tickets now, no Wednesday. We'll set you up, bro,
(40:32):
We'll set you up and enjoy the show. Who are
we to stop you from being there with the family. Yeah,
you're gonna have a blast.
Speaker 13 (40:38):
Yeah, we're going to make it a family upsair. We're
going to be singing along.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
You got it.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
You can leave us a message inside our ieart radio app,
the Kiss Page. This is Kim in Lagoda Hills calling out.
Speaker 11 (40:52):
I Kim here and logo and Noguel. Hello to Ryan
Sisny Tanya, Tanya. I'm calling you out here. I'm listening
to you say you haven't been drinking since August and
I see you drinking on Instagram? Are those fake posts?
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Those archives?
Speaker 2 (41:15):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
Well August into now, have you had anything? Yes? I have,
I've had. Well that contradicts what you told me.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Yeah, I said I've had a handful. Since you said
you haven't.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Been drinking, You did not say that, because I even
went doubled down on the questioning held I had a couple.
Let's run now you do not.
Speaker 11 (41:40):
No.
Speaker 6 (41:41):
You said you hadn't been drinking since your honeymoon, and
I said at all?
Speaker 1 (41:44):
And then ye, You're like yes, because I actually was
like having a hard time, Ministery feeling envious. I was like, well,
I want to be that person.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
And I think I've had a handful of drinks.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
But everything you say from this point on, we don't trust.
We don't get that honest. Just tell us it doesn't matter.
When I'm gonna judge you. I can't care.
Speaker 7 (42:05):
But I'm definitely not like boozing on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
But you're you're telling us that makes us worry. Don't
tell us that. Just tell us the truth.
Speaker 2 (42:14):
But it is the truth. I'm not like drinking. Do
you get what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (42:18):
You say it like that with air quotes, because.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
I'm not drinking. Like when I'm drinking, I will like drink.
Speaker 7 (42:25):
I'll like drinks so like I'll have many glasses of wine,
or I'll have like a martini, or I'll have my whatever.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
I don't do that anymore.
Speaker 6 (42:35):
What did you put on Instagram?
Speaker 7 (42:39):
I've had I've had a glass of wine here and there,
but that's it.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
Like I'm not drinking drinking here.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
And there, that's the same thing. We don't care.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
It's you cut back, no abstinence, sysney. Isn't no different.
Speaker 7 (43:00):
Isn't there a difference between drinking and not drinking?
Speaker 1 (43:04):
No, because I drink all the time. So Jimmy, it's
just drinking.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
You're having like one glass of wine. You'd be like,
I'm not drinking.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
That's not I would literally be drinking the glass of
wine correct English, my definition. Now what I was talking about. Well,
so what I would say if I were you is
I'm not drinking her in the week On the weekends,
I let myself go. I have a few.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
But that doesn't meant no, because sometimes I'll drink on
a Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
So then you're drinking and you're drinking. Drink having a
drink on a Tuesdays definitely drinking drinking like you're not
not drinking. No. Do you know when I woke up
this morning, I didn't think this would be as much
fun right here, right now talking about this, but it is.
Speaker 6 (43:49):
I didn't think we would bring this topic back up again,
but here we are. But there's Kim, I need to
see the Instagram post that Kim saw ye too.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
All right, we're out of time for talkback.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
It's like a table and there's drinks on the table.
They're not mine.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
You don't have to argue it me understand what you're
trying to not tell us. I don't want to play.
Larry Joe and Hemman who heard the same thing, called
you out. Wait really, Oh, it's good stuff. It's kind
to have a drink on Tuesday after this show, by evening,
you'll need one. Okay, let's just pay a bill next.
(44:28):
When I say pay a bill, I mean one bill,
paying bills.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
You're paying one bill.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Pay a bill for someone, right, So technically am I
paying them exactly? Are you swallowing it? Yes?
Speaker 2 (44:40):
But drinking in the whole glass.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
It's still drinking sweat oozes from my pores. Next, Hillary Duff,
we love Love yeh. Her music hiatus has come to
a halt. Yes, Kanie's a trending report because last.
Speaker 7 (45:02):
Week she made her return to music with her new
single Mature. So Hillary described this song as a little
(45:30):
conversation that my present self is having with my younger self.
The two of us are reflecting on a past experience
and sending love to each other. It's a chuckle, a wink,
and a sense of being grateful that we are sure footed.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
In where we landed.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (45:46):
Fans were quick to speculate who the song was about,
And all signs point to Leonardo.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
DiCaprio, who's all signs point there.
Speaker 7 (45:55):
I'll get you there, who's famous for dating girls in
their twenties. And and this conversation seems very telling of that.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
She's me.
Speaker 7 (46:04):
I'm her indifferent font, just a few years younger, a
new haircut, very leo of you. Leonardo DiCaprio with your
scorpio touch. Today's actually Leonardo DiCaprio's birthday. He is a
scorpio coincidence, I think not?
Speaker 1 (46:22):
Okay, what'd you get him? Also, there's a.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
Lyric where she says, but she's so impressed by your basquillot,
And it's like known that he's like loves this artist Basquiot.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
We like robins, check out this artist.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
Some people he's actually really cool.
Speaker 7 (46:44):
But some people think that the song is about Joel Madden,
who she did when he was twenty five, and she.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
Was just asked Hillary Doveson to speculate.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
She was much younger.
Speaker 7 (46:53):
But they're all friends now and like Joel even posted
a shout out to the song, tagging Hillary and his
wife Nicole Richie and he was with Hillary's husband, and
so I don't think it's about him.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
So my theories.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Would it not be appropriate to reach out to Hillary Duff?
Invited her on the show talk about new music, and ask.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
I mean I would love nothing more than Hillary Duff
on this show.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
Do you need more than a nudge? What do you
mean don't you have? I thought you had every single
female artist's phone number in your phone.
Speaker 7 (47:21):
I do not know Hillary who don't you have Hillary
Duff first starter?
Speaker 1 (47:27):
But we can get to her, right, we can like
get to her people.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
She's not gonna come out and say, yeah, this is
about Leo.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
Well if you put it out there, this she's gonna
say no, then she's not when we ask her.
Speaker 7 (47:38):
But you know, I do think it's such a really
beautiful the way she reflected on it in this song,
because it's like she's reflecting on this this thing, this
this relationship, but also so self assured of where she
like ended up.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
I also like how you think we're five years old,
Like when you said you know Leo like l E
oh do I see a are pr o?
Speaker 7 (48:01):
Well because she Scorpio and the Leo, which you would
think maybe she was talking to zodiacsne I.
Speaker 1 (48:08):
Know I heard it. You really can't script it. You can't.
You just can't come in and go. Let's write that.

Is the name of it?
Speaker 10 (48:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (48:35):
I sure, am Oh, it's not the name of the app.
These are dating app opening lines. Okay, so that there's
a new app opening lines she loves. She gets the
best opening lines in her dating apps.
Speaker 2 (48:47):
And I got some good ones.
Speaker 1 (48:49):
Make me happier. I don't know if I sleep, Hi,
I think.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
We put too much steak in an opening line.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
I don't know. It's a first impression, and you can
not overestimate how impactful a first impression is. How do
you like to walk into a room. That's the first impression.
That's your opening line. You'll have to say anything is
how you carry yourself.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
I'm just saying I think we put too much weight
in it.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
I know what you said, you know. I'm saying, like
you say it, I give you a counterpoint and then
you say again, I don't know what to show it
to do. Do I counterpoint you again?
Speaker 2 (49:24):
No?
Speaker 7 (49:24):
No, just maybe we we don't write them off so
quickly because they have maybe a faulty bad.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
First This is something for MICHAELA to consider. Yeah, I
think it's a first impression and move on, Like, why
waste time? We can do this tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (49:40):
I know.
Speaker 1 (49:41):
Hope you'll tune in for that and we we'll see
it first thing. Also paying your bills and jingle ball
tickets too. It's kiss. Have a good one. Yes, thanks
