of the show's premiere. In honor of that, we're going
to play back some of our favorite moments with the

over the years, we've got a lot of the cast
members on with us, so we're going to share some
more favorite moments through the show.

The first one is actually somewhat recent. We had Brian Baumgardner,
who played Kevin Malone on the other week, and here's
what he told us about the audition process.

First off, I can't remember. I can't believe that it's
been that long. Also, I auditioned for Stanley. That's that's
what I auditioned for Stanley. I knew there was another
role they were looking at called Kevin, and thankfully we
got together during the audition process and they decided to

take a look at me for Kevin. But here's an
amazing thing, Mario, I don't know if you've heard this.
The other two people in the end that were up
for the role of Kevin Malone Eric stone Street from
Modern Family and Jorge Garcia from Lost and many other things.
So it ended up working out for all of us.

I think, wow, and that to me is really cool.

By, So, I just want to talk about the office real,
yes quick, because obviously you played Meredith and stuff.

What do you remember about the audition?
Speaker 8 (05:47):
You know, I had first auditioned for the part of
Jan Michael's boss, and obviously they went a completely different way.
But I remember, you know, just feeling like I watched
the British show and I was thinking, I don't know
if this is gonna work because it's so specific and
so good, and at that time, no British shows had
ever done well converting to American casts, so I was skeptical.
(06:09):
But I knew Steve Correll from Second City. We were
there around the same time. We weren't in the same cast,
but I knew him and I thought, you know, when
we first started filming, I was like, oh, they really
like they understand the process of like what this is right.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
I always love the stories of actors when they auditioned
for a certain role and yet they ended up getting
someone because they I mean, they really like you and
they're trying to fright.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
I know that's true.
Speaker 8 (06:32):
It is an awesome compliment. Yees. So even though I
was not in the pilot, it was worth the way. Yes,
so I only missed one episode of that shows.

his best friend well in a movie. He just picked
up a new gig, replacing his bestie Matt Damon in

new show coming in at just a fraction, drawing just
over five hundred thousand viewers. I think our hotel channel

from there and made him far creepier than I could

premiered on NBC, and we've gotten to know many of
the cast members over the years, so playing back some
of our favorite moments from those interviews.

By, So, I just want to talk about the office real,
yes quick, because obviously you played Meredith and stuff.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
What do you remember about the audition?
Speaker 8 (05:47):
You know, I had first auditioned for the part of
Jan Michael's boss, and obviously they went a completely different way.
But I remember, you know, just feeling like I watched
the British show and I was thinking, I don't know
if this is gonna work because it's so specific and
so good, and at that time, no British shows had
ever done well converting to American casts, so I was skeptical.
(06:09):
But I knew Steve Correll from Second City. We were
there around the same time. We weren't in the same cast,
but I knew him and I thought, you know, when
we first started filming, I was like, oh, they really
like they understand the process of like what this is right.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
I always love the stories of actors when they auditioned
for a certain role and yet they ended up getting
someone because they I mean, they really like you and
they're trying to fright.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
I know that's true.
Speaker 8 (06:32):
It is an awesome compliment. Yees. So even though I
was not in the pilot, it was worth the way. Yes,
so I only missed one episode of that shows.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Wow more Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Here was some quick buzz for you, Ben Affleck replacing
his best friend well in a movie. He just picked
up a new gig, replacing his bestie Matt Damon in
the upcoming Netflix thriller Animals.

fair than they're used to. But it's got a lot
of heart and of course for the whole family, so
be on the lookout for it this Christmas.

Megan Markle officially named Megan Duchess of Sussex, which is
very confusing because I thought they abandoned the time titols
and the whole lifestyle and the whole thing. Anyway, she
brought in a fraction of what her previous Netflix show
or special, Harry and Megan did two point one million
households watch that one back in twenty twenty two, the
new show coming in at just a fraction, drawing just
over five hundred thousand viewers. I think our hotel channel

gets more viewers than that. But you know what, maybe
she'll turn it around this next season.

I mean, I feel bad for anyone who's in the
public eye because obviously people are just going to assume
certain things. But I also feel like there's a time
where you need to just try and hang it up

they wanted to live a quiet lifestyle, they're doing it one.

I wrote that character, by the way, Oh really, it
came on the show from Bernie Mack and my buddy
Kim Kwappas was directing the pilot. So I actually wrote
this character and shot a bunch of added libbed some
stuff and gave it to Greg Daniels and they said, well,
this is really funny stuff. So they the writers went
from there and made him far creepier than I could

even have imagined. And it's been great, you know.
