What aut Mario Courtney Lopez here fired up to get
to hang with you for the next few hours. A
lot of radio fun to get into, including Corey and
I going head to head another.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Round of the slang Game.
Speaker 4 (00:12):
Plus we'll dig into the buzz to see what's trending
from the weekend. Filter through our mentions to see what
is on your mind. Play all your favorite music, and
we are just a few songs away from asking a
random question. So turn it up. You're on with Mario
and Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
You're a Mario Lopez Cordney's does have a studio for
a minute, but left behind a random question for Fraser
to ask.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
What do you got?
Speaker 5 (00:33):
What is something that people would be surprised to find
out that you've never learned how to do well?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I think you and everyone in the studio knows this.
I've never learned, and I'm embarrassed to say this out loud.
I've never learned how to use a computer. Really, that
is true.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
I'm not trying to be funny.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
No, that's legitimately true. I was at the age of
when it came out. I was getting by just fine
without really having to do it. And then when obviously
it became part of our lifestyle essentially, then at that point,
you know, I had an.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Assistant or a buddy helped me out, massa so.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Or my wife. So that's why I've never I've never
ordered anything. Yeah, I honestly don't even know how to
turn one on.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
That's just now on the window.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Like so when the kids leave something on in the computer,
I just know to go to the corner and hit.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
That little red doctor to shut it. I just go
to the corner and shut it off. That's it.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Do you get haircut anxiety? What A'm Mario Lopez here?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Apparently one in five men do, at least according to
a new pole Those who get haircut anxieties say they
feel nervous asking their stylist for barber for a new hairstyle.
I can't believe I'm even saying it's been afraid to
ask for specific haircuts.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
In the past, even when they really wanted it. Do
they think the barber's just gonna as start laughing at
It's not the barber's choice, it's your hair. So and
the barber wants to mix it up. Yeah, probably he'd
be happy.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
The study also found the average guy gets their haircut
ten times per year and had the same hairstyle for
seven years.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Now.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
When I was younger, I used to mix it up
all the time. Now that I'm older, you know, you
get older a little more conservative. I keep it pretty
pretty consistent. When I was telling my height grows, yes, subtly, subtly,
I've made little changes, maybe a little higher, sometimes it'll
get a little longer in the back.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
But it's pretty consistently, pretty consistent.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
So I was telling my son about his alpaca, do
that he's got to mix up and come on, it's
time to let that go. He goes, Dad, you've had
the same hairstyle for thirty years.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
What do you know about him? I'm like, WHOA, that
hurts that.
Speaker 6 (02:28):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up, olmar Courtney Lopez back to school,
creeping up on us.

down on your commute time if possible.
Speaker 2 (04:13):

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I feel very blessed to get to spend a lot
of time with the family. Try to stay very active
screens other than my phone. I'm pretty good and very
lucky that the commute time, but it is possible. But phone,
you're always one and a half hours.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
You're not on other screens.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Well, I'm not on other screens, but again, the phone
is kind of like my computer, right if you know,
I don't use a computer another time, I'm having fun.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
If I'm in the bathroom, which is twenty hours out there.

Kaminachez Quordo shares one of the weird and or intriguing
random thoughts that crosses her mind.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
What you got on me.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
So when I was in elementary school, we learned about
a shape called a rambus, and then I have never
heard that word uttered again.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Oh, I remember the rhombus just because it sounded cool.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
No, I don't remember the actual shape, but I remember
the word the rhombus because it sounded like.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
It sounds like someone's figure.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
By the way, I wouldn't. She looks like, what is
the shape of a rhombus? Let's look it up. I
don't know. Let's see what shape is.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
A rambus is a four sighted geometric figure.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Thanks for the strugging and each Oh yeah, pairs of
opposite sides are parallel to Yeah, so a square?
Speaker 5 (05:34):
No, but it's like no, but it's like it's like italics,
it's like a square, but in italics it's like this.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Oh, that's a diamond.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
Basically kind of like a diamond, like a dive, like
a diamond, a wide diamond.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Well, why we never heard of it again?

This is from att brew King Brent. Heard you guys
talking about ip as the other day. The IPAs aren't
from India. They are from England. Originally, it makes sense
they would brew pale ales with super high hop content
so they could ship the beer to India in the
eighteen hundreds. The high hops act as a natural preservative
so the beer wouldn't spoil along the way on the
long ship journey to India. I brew some great IPAs
(06:36):
at my house. Let me know if you want some
ship to you.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
And that's very nice, brew King Brent.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
And yeah, it did sound a little odd that they
would be from India. England makes a lot more sense. Wow, Okay,
learned something.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
What we learned is I was correct when I said
I don't think they're from India.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
But they was written and looked like Mario Lopez coming
up a.

After some quick Buzz News survey suggests first impressions may
start with the first name, Nearly one in five Americans
(07:46):
admit they make assumptions about people based solely on their
first name. When people were asked which first name carries
the most negative baggage, Karen was the Runway winner, car
or Karen's out there.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
That's not fair.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
We're born after this Karen phenomenal. Karen's must be in
danger because like, no one's really naming no.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
No, well, I don't think anyone was named Karen after
they started this. This is all the poor Karen's prior.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
To you know, it's the male equivalent of Karen Chad
because Chad No, Chad came in second, followed by Donald
John and Damien. Oh you got a brother, Damien Pai.
It's always had a negative connotation because of the movie movie.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Yeah, well that's not how Damien spells his names. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
One in five of us don't like our own names.
It would change it if we could.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
We had to do this segment. Huh, you just had
to do this segment.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Change my name. I haven't changed my name originally.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
If we could, to what I think, I probably would
have rather had my grandfather's name Luciano.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Or Rafael Raphael really over Mario Rafael. Maybe Luciano maybe better.
I know, I would have changed your name. I guess, Katie.
Speaker 4 (08:56):

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Have so many pictures on my phone, but unless I
actively look, you can't just pick it up and check it.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Out and you can't find it most of the time.
You're pretty good about organizing your picks.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Not so much anymore because life is just.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
Busy, well and a certain point you take a lot
of photos now because it's just on your phone.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
So well, that's the deal.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Much.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
They're letting them just sit in their camera roll, and
many are printing their favorite shots, saving ticket steps from concerts,
sporting events, that kind of stuff, and creating scrap books
with momentos. A printed album, scrapbook or journal offers a
personal way to.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Kind of relive it and you can tell the stories
behind it. You know.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
I used to always make a photo album book through Apple.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
You did, That's right, every.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Life, I mean, just you making me do all that. No,
I'm just kidding, but we just did have Sunny's birthday

Another round of the slang game. All right, what's our
theme too.

We're gonna do animal terms that you may or may
not have heard of. Okay, These are slang terms used
for different parts of animals, different animals.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Okay, alright. The do lap, Mario.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
The do lap is what the otter swims in in
the morning. Do he does a lap around? So he
does a do lap?
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Can't swim and do no, it's incorrect, what animals do?
Speaker 5 (11:24):
These are animal terms terms for animals or terms for
things they do terms for animal body parts. Oh, according
tongue incorrect. It is the loose skin hanging under the
neck of a cow, dog, lizard or bunny.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Wait, a cow dog, lizard in bunny all have a
do lap.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yes, wow, that would just be called a turkey neck
blanket has a do lap as well. Wow wow, okay, wow,
it is zero zero. Here's the next one. Scoot Mario.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Scoot is when a rabbit no longer hops because it's old.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
It scoots incorrect. No, what is it, Courtney?
Speaker 4 (12:07):
When a dog rubs their butt on the carpet.
Speaker 5 (12:11):
Technically that is scooting, but that is not what I'm
looking for. I'm looking for s c U t e,
which is a thickened bony plate on a turtle shell
or the back of a crocodile.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Oh wow, you just start spelling a scoot. I'll spell it. Okay,
that's fine, here we go.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
What is sprained s p r A I N T

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Sprain is when a bird can no longer use a
particular wing. He has a spring, so it kind of
flies a one wing.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Incorrect. And you know what my effort is the effort
is applauded.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
It is when they are spray painting. It's called a spring.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Is incorrect. It is otter poop, otter poop. The call sprang.
It has its own word for its poop. Okay, all right,
one more hands on buzzers. Wattle Oh that was me,
I like corning.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Go Oh, come on.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
It is when how they walk. They waddled back and
forth like a pregnant person.

A wattle is found in the.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
Bushes of Australia. It's similar to the wombat. It's a
distant cousin. Oh god, no, it's a wattle.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
It's incorrect.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
It is the my definition, the fleshy carnicle hanging from
the neck of poultry like a turkey. So the giant No, no,

quick buzz.
Speaker 2 (13:52):

Barbie also now is getting a postage stamp.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Very interesting. The only time I ever need a stamp
now is when I send Christmas cards.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
They're more of a collector's thing. I don't even know
if you're supposed to use them.

a high end dining experience. Season spans eight episodes, showcases
the emotional chaotic.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Events unfold over a day and a half. We were
in the first two seasons. Then it got a little
too stressful for us. Same for me. I couldn't go back. Yeah,
it's like, whoa like, we're running a restaurant here.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
It's not nice, but it is very stressful that it is.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
But I'll stressed out as a viewer. So do you
have health fomo, Mario Courtney Lopez here. Half of Americans
are looking to flip their approach to wellness on its head,
and according to new research, most said they're simplifying their
approach by focusing on habits such as quality sleep, regular movement,
and nutrition. Cannot get away from the classics that will
(14:58):
definitely do it. Your generations also frequently experience health fomo,
or the feeling that they're falling behind in their health
goals due to not keeping up with the latest trends
in tools and as far as the diet, fibermaxing is
in fiber supplement sales are way up this year.
Speaker 4 (15:15):

Speaker 4 (15:19):
I'm stuffed.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
But along along with a lot of other ladies, I'm
not trying to generalize, but a lot of ladies seem
to struggle with what that is.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Yeah, I know, we go through it all the time,
and you're just like living and I'm living.
Speaker 2 (15:33):

hit me up at All and Mario on X Tell
by Maarra Courtney Lopez. Time for one last thing.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
And yesterday I kind of briefly mentioned this, but I
am very proud of myself. I have culinary skills that
I was not aware of. I attempted to cook an
exotic dish that was the lengua, which is aka disgusting
cow toungue tacos. They're incredible to delicacy. And my buddy,
who lives on a farm, brought me a cow tongue
(16:48):
freshly cut kow tongue vacuum sealed the course when he
came to visit me recently, and I brought it. My
wife refused to cook it because it's a live tongue.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
No, and I don't care to.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
So the tongue.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
It's a huge tongue.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
I googled the recipe, I got my crock pot, I
got all my ingredients, and it was a five to
six hour procedure procedure.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
That's what I said.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
It was a five or six hour procedure. And it
turned out excellent, and it was so succulent. I crushed
six tacos right off the top, and then I had
it for breakfast the next day with some eggs. Oh
my gosh, it is next level, and then with the
green sausa and the homemade corn tortillas. By the way,
Crockpot incredibly underrated.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
More Mario Lopez on the way.
