(01:10):
back with Cordo's Corner and ten, don't move You're all
Mario Lopez. Time for Cordo's Corner. My wife out today,
but Fraser stepping in with something helpful.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
What do you got?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
She left this for us? Since it's prom season. These
are a few pre prom hacks slash ideas to maybe consider.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Okay, the group costume hack.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
You get your squad to pick one theme, so maybe
like Black Mirror episodes or I don't know, like maybe
K Pop Demon Hunters or something like that. Everyone wears
normal formal wear but adds one small matching accessory, so
same color, pocket square, or like whatever the theme is.
It looks intentional in photos and there's no stress to it.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Fun idea.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
I love a theme, but I your daughter would love
this because she's all about the theme.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
She's all about a theme. She already wants to do
a yacht rock theme for her birthday party. That's her idea,
believe it or not, not me really to address. You've
had a lot of influence, a lot of influence. She
loves eighties. I've had a positive influence. However, I look
back at my prom I've mentioned this a bunch and
I really regret it. I had a bolo tie with
cowboy boots. Yeah, but it's memorable in that it's in

(02:11):
a bad way, like I got to and it was
not a subtle bolow tie. It was like a steer
you gotta find. I gotta see this steer in with
black boots.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I need to see it.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Mind you. I didn't even listen to country. It was
just the It was just an no cowboy hat, no
cowboy hat, no cow cat with a tuxedo.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
It was bad. That was your choice.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I made that choice, but it was like on trend
at the time.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Okay, so weird.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
One other quick hack shoe comfort. This is really important
the night before the big night, wear your dress shoes
around the house with thick socks. Do it a couple
of days in a row if you need to, and
that will help make your feet not hurt so much.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
At one am on prom night.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
That is a really good hack. Also piggyback hack for
the ladies out there. Carry some really thin slippers in
your purse and after you take your pictures you're hanging
out for a while, slip into the slippers and just
have a good time and dance.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Ah, Mario Lopez, keep it the music coming your way
round after Fraser quickly tells us about a few of
the new things hitting TV and streaming.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Man on Fire Netflix, Season one of that new action
thriller series based on aj Quinell's nineteen eighty novel Haunted
by his past and hunted by his enemies, a Special
Forces veteran fights to keep a teenage.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Girl alive on the deadly streets of Rio de Janeiro.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Based on the movie from Back in the Day with
Denzel Washington.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Okay, Destination World Cup twenty twenty six on two B
series Premiere of that, a six part docu series following
three international soccer stars as they prepare for the FIFA
World Cup twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
That ought to be fun, This summer is going.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
To be great.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
And Mysteries of Ancient Medicine on that Geo A riveting
investigation into the strange and often terrifying healing traditions of
the ancient world. It redefines what we thought we knew
about early medicine by exploring how magic, medicine and mythology
intertwined in the past.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I'm a believer in alternative medicine. I'm a product.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yeah we are. You went to a witch doctor, well,
my dad did.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
And breuja in Spanish, which is essentially a witch doctor.
And yeah, I was cured. I was a goner, all right,
Mario Lopez Here a few more songs and then going
to fire up zoom to chat with today's guests. Actress
Kelly Giddish from Law and Order SVU, currently in their
twenty seventh season. That's unbelievable, huge guests start making a
cameo too. Gonna get the scoop on that and more
when she zooms in NeXT's ever Mario Lopez, Ronnie right

(04:27):
now you know herre's detective Amanda Rollins from Law and
Order SVU. Actress Kelly Giddish, How you doing, Kelly, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I'm well? Thank you you star on this show. That's
one of the legendary shows. Really that's been on forever now,
what twenty seven seasons something like that with Marishka Hargate.
You even had a Law and Order trend dance that
was that was I did it. I did it with
the whole family. It was fun. And here's the thing
about these Law and Order episodes. I find myself guilty

(04:57):
all the time. You start watching one and then you
get hooked and then you go in or a nothing
before you know it. It's like a marathon, unintended, so addicting.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
And some people are like, well, you know, I'm watching
it with my husband and he's seen it, but I haven't,
so we have to keep watching it. But he's mad
because he knows who the bad guy is, but then
he can't remember that. It's like so when you get
into it with your with your spouse, you're like, I've
seen this one. Can we skip it?

Speaker 7 (05:21):
And he's like, no, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Not, We're watching.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
You have to watch the next one.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
You know, you do. What's what's going on with your
character during the season. It's you know, I mean she
came back.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
Rowlin's had been bouncing around from job to job.

Speaker 7 (05:36):
To job, and then she was like, I think I
need to convict this for you, and Kelly Giddish was like, yes, yes.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
You do refer So it's you know, she's married, she's
got three kids, she's got security, she she's graded her job,
and you know, I think just moving through, you know,
I think the audience really loves seeing Olivia and ro
like that, that relationship, that friendship. You know, it's there's

(06:04):
so few female friendships like that portrayed that We've been
together for fifteen seasons, you know, and it wasn't like.

Speaker 7 (06:11):
A Okay, you guys are best friends.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Go. It was like Earns earned trust on screen off screen,
you know, and I think all that shows up in
each episode, you know, so we can fight, we can,
we can get you know, get back together, we can
you know.

Speaker 7 (06:24):
It's like it's that whole thing.

Speaker 6 (06:26):
It's really fun to play and I think the audience
really responds to it.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
It absolutely shows up and so it is one of
the funniest women in Hollywood this season. Kelly Hayne Tigers,
I want to talk about the surprise cameo and more
after a quick break.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
More fun on the way on with Mario.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Lopez getting back to Kelly Gettish from Long and Order
SVU Mario Lopez. He're currently in their twenty seventh season
over on NBC and Peacock. By the way, I love
that you got my girl Melissa McCarthy making a cameo.
How much funny is it on the set that she's
awesome amazing.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
That Mullent and she they came in and they full
on mullet in this belt that was like this big
on her.

Speaker 7 (07:04):
I was just like, yes, oh my god, this is great,
this is great.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
And seeing Mareshka's face because she had no idea, Yeah,
how surprised she was. Was was really a joyable.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
That's awesome. All right, lots more to talk about more
with Kelly Gettish coming up, First War Music, Amar Lopez
catching up with actress Kelly giddishrom Lawn order SVU. Uh
you met your husband on set? I did?

Speaker 6 (07:26):
I did?

Speaker 7 (07:27):
He was he was driving me.

Speaker 6 (07:29):
He's a teamster here in New York.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
It's the best. I love that it's a real person.
Full disclosure, Kelly and I got to hang in New
York not too uh, not too long ago. So it's
nice to see you. Yeah yeah yet again. And I
love this story because he's a teamster, which is which
is the guys who drive. That's in the part of
the team Stra's union. They drive you everywhere. And he's
he's a civilian, which is a billion, which is great.

(07:51):
And you have three boys. Yeah, that's a lot.

Speaker 7 (07:54):
Yeah, it's it is it's crazy.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
And I you know, I was pregnant with the third one,
and my husband was like, you want a girl, right,
And I was like at first, so I don't care,
just as long as it's you know, you have two
healthy children. You can pray boys a third one third
healthy one. And I was like, but honestly, I'm good
with the boys.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Like I know how they operate.

Speaker 6 (08:13):
I know, it's a lot easier, you know, like at
this point, like it's it's I know what I'm doing
with that comfortable. And I very much embrace, you know,
being a boy.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Mom and they love their mom my. Boys love my
wife to death. But yeah, you're hearing all the noises
and all that, and it's probably WrestleMania there all the time.
And so yeah, wait till they get a little older
and get a little more rambunctious, that's gonna be crazy.
Lots more to get into, but we got to quickly
get back to the music. More with Kelly coming Out.
Maria Lopez here chat with Kelly Gettis from Long Order,

(08:46):
SEU This Hour and Kelly, is it true one of
your first jobs in entertainment was on Broadway working with
Fara Fosce. Yes, wow, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
I was because I always thought that I would do theater,
you know. I studied theater and undergrad and I moved
to New York and I was like, if I can
just do theater, maybe maybe land a commercial every now
and then to actually pay the bills, I'll be so happy.
And I was here for less than a year and
I was.

Speaker 7 (09:11):
I got on Broadway and I was like, yes.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
I knew it. I knew I had it.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
I knew I could do it.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
And then I had to steal fear a Falset's husband
in the play, and.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
I was like, wait, but she's so hot, you know.
And she was an older lady, but I mean she's hot.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
She was so hot and so cool.

Speaker 7 (09:29):
And and then the play went into previews for a
week and and and then it closed before it had
its official opening, and I was like, oh, I don't
have it. I don't have it.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
Yeah, welcome to Like it was such a rollercoaster but
it was such an invaluable experience, you know, watching her,
watching her come back and doing a play, and seeing
all the press that she had to do for it,
and and all the just all all the weight that
it it took for her to to go.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
You know what, I'm going to do a I play
on Broadway and all of you guys can just hush
them outs, and I'm going to do my thing and
do it well. And just watching, you know, as a
twenty two year old, you know, seeing a woman like
that go maneuver all of that, it was it was
a really invaluable experience.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Yeah, that's special, very cool. All right, one more thing
I want to ask quick break, and we're going to
come back and wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
You're the full interview now at on with Mario dot Com.
More Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
On the way wrapping up a Law and Order recevus
Kelly get Ischel with Mario Lopez And before you go,
I notice a guitar behind you. Do you play?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (10:32):
Yeah, I play?

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Do you Okay? Not guitar, pillow, drums and my my
daughter plays guitar and piano, my boys piano and drums.
But okay, you've been playing for a while.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Yeah. Yeah, since I was sixteen. I played just in
I play enough to sing and just to kind of
just just sit and play and not think. All right,
I play enough to do that.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
You know, what do you jam out to? What do
you like to jam out to?

Speaker 6 (10:59):
I mean, I I just learned different songs, like anything
by Lucinda Williams. I can sit and play, you know,
Jason Esball, I love Zach Bryan. You know. It's just
like if you hear a song on the radio, You're like,
I think I can play.

Speaker 7 (11:11):
This eminem song on guitar. You know, it doesn't matter,
you know, it just whatever hits.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
You, you know, and changing it into it makes you
hear a song a different way, maybe changing changing the
temple whatever. But you're a drummer, so you're like the
cool guys. Everybody has to come over to your house
to jam, right.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Yeah. Well it's funny because I just got a new
set too for my son, much to my wife chagrin.
It's gonna be nice and loud in there, but it
is fun. You can kind of jam out to, like
even kind of make the beat or any of your
any of the songs. You can sort of actle me instead.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
Yeah, but my brother is seven years younger than me,
and I remember him getting a drum set and they
put in the basement. And I mean our house was
you know, three stories, but even in the very top.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
You can hear house. You're just like, wow, I'm so
proud of him exactly that you're always relegated to the
back or the baseman or something. Yeah, poor poor drummers.

Speaker 6 (12:02):
It's so cool because everybody has to come to your house.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Yeah, that's true, can't travel with That's cool. Well, it's
so nice to speak with you again and listen everyone.
Be sure to catch up on season twenty seven of
Law and Order SVU right now on Hulu and Peacock. Kelly,
thanks for checking in and nice to see you again.

Speaker 6 (12:19):
Nice to see you too, Maria.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
All right, take care. Al Mario Lopez reminding you that
we want you to see A R Live on their

(12:40):
three Decades tour in the US city of your choice.
We're gonna handle everything too, including a meet and greet
with the band. Just tap the contest tab when you're
listening to us on the free iHeartRadio app dan or
or get your tickets right now Livenation dot com al
Mario Lopez wasting no time getting right or a random
question got Frazer, would you.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Rather have your shadow reveal all of your inner slash
untold thoughts one random hour each day or every time
you lie, even a tiny white lie, your left arm detaches,
flies across the room and slaps the nearest person in
the face before crawling back and reattaching itself to your body.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Well that's dramatic. That's a very dramatic reaction.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Your untold thoughts and stuff could also be dramatic. I
know it's not as action packed.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Oh gosh, this is Oh this is tough.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Also, does it hurt when your arm goes flying off
and comes back?

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
If it hurts, then yeah, it's an easy call. Assume
mean it doesn't hurt, and both are pain free.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
You could use the second one as a weapon against
people you don't like. You could just tell a lie
and your arm would go hit the person closed.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
You go a big liar, I mean I'm really not.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
I think I'm gonna go with that work according to
who's stand. According to who's stand is answer no question.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
But but I'm really not a big liar, So I
think I'm gonna go with the arm flying across because
I'm I'd be having some crazy inner thoughts, so I
don't want I don't want that to happen.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
And you're right, you're not gonna lie a lot. So
your arm's not going to detach that often.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Yeah, yeah, my arm's not gonnattach that orphan exactly more
Mario Lopez on the way, So term maxing seems to
be uh, well, maxing Mario Lopez. Here, the word, which
is in fact in the dictionary, is being used more
and more online. Maxing can be just focusing on one
aspect of your life, or can be obsessive. In case
you're not familiar, here are the most common types of maxing.

(14:30):
You got looks maxing. All the kids use striving to
enhance your appearance. Money maxing like that, yes, investing, building wealth,
soft maxing, no makeup, messy hair, chilling and sweats.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
I do that.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Yeah. Gym maxing constantly in the gym working out, and
a trend on TikTok smell maxing about personal scent and
expensive fragrances. I strongly suggest everyone smell maxing.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
That one's recommended.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
That's number one priority. Yes, oh, Mario Lopez has got
some able to thirty birthdays to shout out shortly in
the meantime, more music and any obscure holidays to celebrate Fraser.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
It is national mister potato head day.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Is that toy still exists?

Speaker 4 (15:11):
It does still exist. You can still get it, I
think can still. I don't know that it's as popular anymore.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Well, because of toy story, maybe it made a resurgence,
but it's it's old school that toy has hung in
there and had quite the run. Time to say happy
birthday to a few celebs turning a year older today,
Mario Lopez here is always Fraser's gonna shout him out.
I'm gonna try to guess the agesc who we got
Travis Scott, he's a young man. I'm gonna say Travis.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Thirty one, thirty five, Oh, okay, on a day Armis on.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Adamus, another lathena who's probably much older than she actually looks,
because she looks amazing. She's she looks young, but I'm
gonna say she's thirty six thirty eight, wow, and she
looks twenty five.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Yes, gal Gado, wonder woman, wonder woman.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
I'm gonna say is in the fourth level forty forty one.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
Oh wow, close, so close. Kirsten Dunce.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Kirsten Dunce, I'm gonna say is forty four?

Speaker 4 (16:08):
That is correct?

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Oh wow, look at.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
That very Kirsten dunts fan.

Speaker 6 (16:11):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
And finally from Big Bang Theory and Christmas Vacation, Johnny Glecki.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
And Roseanne Back and Roseanne Galecki, I'm gonna say is
fifty two?

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Fifty one?

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Oh man, Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (16:27):

random thoughts, whatever you got. Who's this one from Prision?

Speaker 3 (17:19):
This is from at Homie Hallard. I appreciate you letting
us know Earth has reached half its lifespan and is
in some midlife crisis.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
But what can I do about that? I got my
own midlife crisis to deal with and rent to do
in a few days.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yes, Homie Hallard, you're referring to a post that I
made a while back that, yeah, evidently the Earth's in
a midlife crisis. But you know what, Homie, I say,
focus on you, focus on taking care of your responsibilities.
The world will keep on spinning. That's what I always say.
That's when we people get excited about all kinds of

(17:53):
stuff that are out of your control. It's out of
your control, so don't worry about it. Focus on the
things you can control more.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Up, Mario Lopez, hear music rolls on after some quick
snack buzz. If you're going to the movie soon, there're
gonna be a couple of interesting ways to have your popcorn.
If you're checking out The Devil Worst Product too, you
can get in a luxury inspired popcorn handbag at AMC Theaters,
red top handled popcorn bucket shaped like a purse. Okay,

(18:20):
Next up from AMC is a popcorn bucket shaped like
shreks outhouse. Starting this Friday, they're offering a large popcorn
for the twenty fifth anniversary of Shrek. Some fans said
it's both hilarious and disgusting. Kids, I'm sure are digging it.
They're gonna love that. All right, let's get back to music.
Mario Lopez here, getting close to the end of our
radio fund. Just one last thing to get to plus

(18:42):
probably enough time to play a request or two before
I get out of here at all. Mario on X
John Mario Lopez almost time passed the mic, but not
before we squeeze in one last thing. Harry Styles and
Zoe Kravitz are engaged well, at least according to People magazine,
who say the two shared the news a small circle.
The pair of first sparked engagement speculation after Zoe was

(19:05):
spotted wearing a ring on her finger while kissing Harry
and London last week. They first started dating back in August. Well,
congratulations to them. I think we were talking about it
the other day. I might have sent you an article
to Zoe has quite the roster. Yeah, like Taylor Swift
level roster. Yes, she hasn't made songs about her or
talked about her. She's been slick of a butt, but

(19:26):
she is not short of suitors. I mean she's had
guys like Penn Badgely and I know she squeezed a
marriage in there.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
At one point. Ye.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Carl Glusman, Carl Gluseman, Okay, God bless you.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
There was another musician, twin Shadow, that she dated in
twenty fifteen.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Right, and then my homie Channing Tatum.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
That is correct. They called that off in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Four, and that was engaged.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Actually yes, they were. Oh wow, they were engaged. They
called that off. And then now she's allegedly engaged to Harry.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
To Harry, so she's got dudes dropping to knees and said, oh,
good for you, Zoe Kravitz.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Poor Mario Lopez next.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
All right, that's it. Thanks he was always ranging out

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Fear thrives in silence and confusion. Ana Navarro rejects both. Her voice is an antidote to today’s chaos. Her new podcast, Bleep! with Ana Navarro, takes on today’s most pressing issues with the voices most connected to it: decision-makers, political leaders, cultural shapers, and people on the frontlines of the story. The conversations acknowledge the emotions we all feel—despair, sadness, fear— but emerge with knowledge, perspective, and hope. The belief is simple: fearless dialogue can transform fear into courage, and courage into change. When fear dominates the headlines, this show digs deeper. Because information, debate, and conversation don’t just ease fear, they give us power to shape the future.
