Bridget joins us after the top of the hour, ub
Bron Mario Lopez joining me right now in studio. You

(03:49):
know he're from the iconic reality show The Girl's Next Door.
Bridget Mark cart How are you, Bridget good?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
How are you? I'm well, I'm well, thanks for coming in.
It's Halloween, this is your holiday.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yes, you have the perfect podcasts or people who love
all things spooky called ghost Money.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I do fun title. You talk about all things paranormal.
So wait a minute. Have you always believed in ghosts?
Do you believe in ghosts? You just fascinated what to deal?

Speaker 8 (04:13):
I do because I had an experience when I was
really young.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
You had an experienced.

Speaker 9 (04:17):
Yeah, So when I was young, I got a Oigi board.
So I've always been interested in the creepy things. So
I was like twelve, and I saved up my babysitting money,
I bought a Wigi board, made my cousin play with me,
and we were talking to who we thought was my
great grandfather, and then we got bored because I was
accusing her pushing it.

Speaker 8 (04:36):
She was accusing me of pushing it. Put it away.

Speaker 9 (04:38):
But then I started having experiences where I would see
him and have like weird nightmares.

Speaker 8 (04:42):
And all that.

Speaker 9 (04:43):
So I think I just like became fascinated with it
and was trying to prove that I wasn't crazy. I
didn't make it up, like this stuff really happens and
people have experiences.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Well, yeah, a lot of people really swear that they've
had some sort of encounter with a paranormal either.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Oh, some sort of apparition a spirit if you will.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
All right, lots more to talk about, including your trip
to the Poultergeist House.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
So hank time. We're gonna have more Bridget coming up.
But first morning.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Talking ghosts and more with Bridge and Mark Cord from
Ease Girls next Doorback in the Day. Mario Lopez here
and on your ig. You recently visited the Poltergeist House
where people can actually stay out overnight. How was it
and did you stay the night?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Where is it?

Speaker 9 (05:26):
By the way, it's in SeeMe Valley and it's just
in a regular residential neighborhood. I went two nights in
a row. I didn't spend all. I didn't spend the
night there, but I just went two nights in a row.
And the first night it was low key. We heard
like footsteps upstairs and just like some small things, nothing major.
But then the next night we had a different group
of people there and it just seemed like there was

(05:47):
a lot of activity and it seemed like we were
communicating with something.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Wow, And this doesn't scare you, huh.

Speaker 9 (05:54):
It does not scare me. I mean there's things that
happen sometimes that are shocking, like a doorable slam, or
you'll think you see something and that gets your adrenaline going,
and like may shock you for a moment, but then
I'm just like, do it again?

Speaker 8 (06:06):
What want more?

Speaker 7 (06:07):
More fun? On the Way On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
On Mario Lopez talking all Things supernatural with a host
of Ghost Bunny podcast bridge at Mark Kurt. So, what's
the most haunted location you've ever visited?

Speaker 9 (06:19):
Oh, it's tough to say what is the most haunted,
But I would say probably the most active experience I
had was at the Myrtles Plantation in Saint Francis, the Louisiana.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Oh that sounds already spooky.

Speaker 9 (06:31):
Yeah, it has a lot of stuff going on there.
And the first thing that happened is we checked into
our room, and our room was right outside the stairs
that come up, and they said there was an old
ghost story that said that you can hear boot stomping
up to the seventeenth step because somebody died on the
seventeenth step, And as soon as we got there and
shut the door and started putting our stuff out, we heard.

Speaker 8 (06:49):
Boom boom boom boom, boom, boom boom, and I was like,
no way, and to open the door.

Speaker 9 (06:52):
Nobody there, and then it just escalated later in the night,
but just really scary.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I was recently at the Magic Castle. The Magic Yes,
that's supposed to be very haunted.

Speaker 8 (07:04):
Lots of stories, lots of stories.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
There's all kinds of little secret passageways and tunnels and stuff.

Speaker 8 (07:10):
It is such a cool building.

Speaker 9 (07:12):
I was so worried about it during the fires, Like
there was the one that broke out really close to it,
and I was like, oh my god, no, not the
Magic Castle.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
That's a landmark right there all right. Hain tight or
with Bridge of Mark Coort coming up, but first more
catching up with bridget Mark Court, host of the Ghost
Money Podcast this hour, Mario Lopez here, and I know
you've also had some psychic mediums on the show.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Do you believe in that sort of thing?

Speaker 9 (07:33):
I do believe that some people are definitely in touch
with things, whether it's their intuition or whatever. But they
they really can bring a lot of information. So yeah,
not everybody, of course, it's hard, but interesting.

Speaker 8 (07:48):
Can I ask them?

Speaker 6 (07:49):
Yeah, about a specific psychic medium who who's no longer here,
Sylvia Brown, who for some reason has like, yeah, she
died a while back, but she's for some reason has
populated back in my algorithm, and I'm seeing all these
clips of her and she's just like mean to people.
They're like, I'm just wondering what happened to my mom and.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
She's like she's dead.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
Like, yes, it was like brutal.

Speaker 9 (08:10):
I think that's what people liked about her is that
she was just to the point and just like could
just come up with the answer, just like that.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah, she was brutal. I loved it. She was funny.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
She was funny, right that, No, you don't want to
see him, he's dead this and that loved her all right.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Got to get back to music.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
But Hangsi because I want to talk about your other podcast,
Girls Next Level. That's nice, Ala, Mario Lopez been getting
a scoop on the Ghost Bunny podcast from Bridget Markard.
But you have another podcast as well called Girls Next Level,
which you do with your Girls next Door Cooster Holly. Yes,
and you guys have been rewatching the shows, right, that's
what popular change right now?

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Yeah, we looking back.

Speaker 8 (08:46):
It's interesting.

Speaker 9 (08:47):
I mean, each episode has its own things going on,
but it's interesting to kind of break it down and
talk about what was going on, what else was going
on at that time, and then how we felt about
it then and how we feel about it now. And
some of them, like are happy memories and some of
them are okay memories.

Speaker 8 (09:04):
And it's just kind of all over the place.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Is there a particular moment that you're like, oh my god,
was the most embarrassing?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
You wish you didn't have to record that?

Speaker 9 (09:12):
Yes, it was right off the bat. It was episode two,
and they showed me as being very like manipulative towards
the new girls coming, like I was super jealous of
them and like trying to get them drunk and things
like that, which was not the case. But it's the
way it was edited that way because I think at
the beginning they were really trying to go for like drama,
and it really wasn't that at the mansion.

Speaker 8 (09:33):
Like there was a lot of.

Speaker 9 (09:34):
I mean there were times, don't get me wrong, but
during the Girls next Door era, we all got along
relatively well, and the girls were it was more like
a sorority and a lot of fun, and there was
a lot of female friendships I still have today.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Well that's good to hear. All right, Well, one more
thing I want to ask. We're going to take a
quick break and come back and rap it up.

Speaker 7 (09:52):
What are the full interview now at on with Mario
dot Com More Mario Lopez on the Way.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Wrap it up with Bridge, Mark Cordier on Mario Lopez
and we were just talking about your time at the
Playboy Mansion.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
What did would you want to ask for It's haunted, right, yes, really, yes, huh.

Speaker 9 (10:08):
I had something happen in my room and I had
two other people saw it too, but my friend Stacy
and my sister, we were all sitting on my bed
and all of a sudden, something appeared in the doorway
that just goes to the closet and the bathroom and
it was a woman and.

Speaker 8 (10:23):
We all saw it.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
We all gassed.

Speaker 9 (10:25):
My sister started crying. My friend Stacy, who's a scaredy cat,
was just like freaking out.

Speaker 8 (10:29):
She's like, I don't want to look. I don't want
to look. What was it?

Speaker 9 (10:31):
And I was like no, but I recognized her because
when I went to the mansion like a long time before,
there was a woman that she was kind of like
the house mom type thing. And we stayed up talking
all night. She's like, I know you're going to be back,
and they're going to be back. And when I did
come back, I found out that she had passed away
of cancer, but it was her, it was her standing there.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Wow, dang, you've had a lot of encounters. That's wild
right there.

Speaker 9 (10:54):
Well, I think when you're open to it, and after
you've had it happen, and you were like just opened
to it sometimes asking for it, which I do, yes,
then things can start happening.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah, well you're not scared, so that's good. Yeah, thank
you for for coming in. Listen.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Everyone, be sure to check out both the Bridget's podcast
she has out right now, Ghost Bunny and Girls Next
Level available everywhere you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Thanks for stopping by, Bridget Yeah.

Speaker 8 (11:18):
Thanks for having me. Happy Halloween.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Happy Halloween, Yo.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
All Mario Lopez and if you missed it, iHeartRadio Fiesta
Latina was a night of celebration with the biggest Latin
artists in the world over the weekend performances from.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
And more from the iHeart Radio app to the iHeart
Radio Stage. You can see the photos and moments from
the show. Allmar dot com, Slash Yesta, Jo Mario, Courtney
Lopez and it's time.

Speaker 7 (11:57):
For that's rank with Are you a Lopez? All right?

Speaker 5 (12:01):
What are we drinking? You're mount rushmore of Halloween candy
each of you.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Oh would you like to go first? Honey?

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Yes? So am I starting with number four?

Speaker 7 (12:13):
No?

Speaker 6 (12:13):
I think you start with but then you can specify,
like this is my George Washington.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Well, I don't know what order they come in.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
You can do one through four.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Come so.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
My favorite are twigs?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Okay, then snickers?

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Okay, I'll do a Resi's cup, but then I'll eat
too many and get sick.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Well that's a good time, but yeah, but I like it.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
And then you know what's underrated? And I always forget
and then I see it, and I'm like, it is
my butter fingers.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Yes, but those in moderation as well, I think correct.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
They're very sweet.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Wow, okay Lopez in no particular order, old school Eminem's Twizzlers,
not redvines, but Twizzlers, especially the individual packs, those are
super tasty.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
I saw me the other day about Twizzlers that said
Twizzlers are basically like something that almost was a toy,
but then they're like, just eat.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
It, which they do have a toy now.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Picks like these sticks that the kids can play with
at grocer at restaurants, really but you can't eat them,
but they look like twizzers.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Ahead I like it.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
I digress.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
That person was awful, because Twizzlers are the real deal.
Reese's Peanut butter Cups, okay, Lisa's Peanut butter Cups, Twizzlers,
M and M's uh oh, And I like the little
mini Nesle's crunch bars.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
Those actually are good.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Those are really good. Those are really good. So those
probably my mount Rushmore candies. Can't go wrong.

Speaker 7 (13:41):
There. More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. More music out of your
way right now. Right after Quardo tries to make us
laugh with another mom joke.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
All right, honey, what do you got? Oh?

Speaker 4 (13:53):
This is a good one.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Chinese takeout twenty five dollars. Getting home and finding out
your order is missing, riceless.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Very good, good delivery, nice, nice, And you didn't.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Laugh a drown joke and get carried away.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
That was good.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
You know what. I take your criticism to heart.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
I cry a little bit.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
When we shut the mics off because you just tear
me apart.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
But I rally. I'm a gamer.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Look for you on the next way out loud show.
Happy Halloween, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here and here's a not
so fun fact. Did you know that when Halloween ends,
more than a billion pounds of pumpkins rot in US
landfills each year. It's actually dangerous too, because it creates
a large amount of methane.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Chefs and farmers have stepped up with a solution, though,
Eat your pumpkin. Experts say the seeds are packed with
protein and nutrients. Actually like pumpkin seeds. You roast them
and they taste really good. You can put them on
a salad. Gives a little crunch. The thick part below
the outer skin can be cubed and used in soups
and stews. And what they're doing here at the La
Zoo is pretty awesome. They're asking you to donate your

(15:04):
old pumpkins to feed them to like the hippos and
all the other animals. Animals will love them and they
won't go to waste and talk about the circle of
life lion king style.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
We are actually doing that, not at a zoo, but
a friend, our friend, Tammy, her.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Neighbor has corseus a farm her next.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Door and she's taken the ones that the squirrels have
started to eat, right, and she will be taking the rest.
Because I think we got through this Halloween without carving pumpkins.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
The kids haven't mentioned it.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
I know.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
That's good. That's good.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Nice time from us. See movies with Mario Courtney Lopez.
Anything new in theaters this weekend, honey, because it's been
sort of rough with the box office.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
It has been rough.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
And this is just one flick that's that's coming out.
It's called starring Emma Stone, Jesse Plemmons, Alicia Silverstone. So
two conspiracy theorists kidnap a powerful ceo convinced she is
a hostile alien responsible for humanities problems.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
That's a lot.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Now, this trailer is wild. It's really out there. And
this particular director who's now worked with them a stone
a couple of times. Really she shaved your head for
this role. Yea, let's put it that way as well.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
The film is actually a remake of the South Korean
a movie called Save the Green Planet and explores themes
of misinformation, conspiracy theories, political polarization, and the difficulty of
discerning truth.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
In the modern world.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
So reality, it's a lot going on.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Right there, everyone on the internet.

Speaker 7 (16:32):
More Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
On the way, what's the girl?

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Marion Courtney Lopez and we were just talking about movies
that are new in theaters this weekend. But there was
a headline coming out of the Hollywood Reporter which said
box office massacre. October revenue falls to twenty seven year
low excluding the pandemic. Obviously, no one can go to
the movies then. But I don't know if it's a

(16:58):
combination of how expended if it is to go to
the cinema now you figure the ticket parking, popcorn that's
really setting a person back, sure, or the quality of
films that you can now stream are just as good,
if not better, at home, and you're comfortable at home.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
Well, there's also the amount of time.

Speaker 6 (17:15):
It used to be that a movie would hit a
theater and then it wouldn't be available for you to
watch it home for months and months and months.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Now you just hang in there.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
It's like a week.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah, you just hang in there for a little bit.
Now there's something to be said for the experience. But
I don't know if that experience is worth all that
money when you can just wait a couple of weeks
watch it at home, Like we said, pause it when
you want, have all the free snacks you want. It's
a bad sign for theaters in the future. That's a

(17:43):
scary sign. Twenty seven years long time.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Honestly, the only reason I would go to the theater
is occasionally is to get the kids.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Out of the house, right.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Yeah, and again that still doesn't take away at being expensive.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
But like you said, it's the experience.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
It's them getting the popcorn and sitting there and just
me getting you know, an hour and a half.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Of a nap, quiet, quiet time.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
In the old stretch final hour for us tomorrow, Courtney Lopez,
He's still a louts to get through. Gonna honor the
comment of the week in about thirty five minutes or so.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Plus we're gonna keep the music coming your way as
we get ready for another passionate fake debate. Choose your side,
Team Mario or team Quarda. We're back to battle it
out next.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
I'm gonna get.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
You all right.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Time for our weekly fake debate where the topics are
made up on the spot, but the passion is real.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Mario and Courtney Lopez here all right, Fraser, Who's pro?
Who's cone?

Speaker 5 (18:34):
I believe you were con last week, so you'll be pro.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
I'm always better pro.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
Courtney will be con, which there's some alliteration turning on
Quordo is con.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
So it's fine.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
Your topic today?

Speaker 6 (18:46):
What you have fifteen seconds to make your case and it's
ten second rebuttal afterwards is six seven.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
I'm pro, sixty year pro. Six to seven six' seven is.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
One of those things THAT i wish were happening during my.
Generation as a, kid you just us out some silly
numbers and you have a good time and you start,
screaming hooting and. Hollering we need a little break like.
THAT i want six to seven for. Adults Missus, Lopez,
well the good.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Thing for you is that stupid number is really close
to you your. Age so if you're getting there to
Say i'm sixty, seven it's. Stupid it's a waste of.
Time what are we teaching our kids in? School give
me my money?

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Back see ba humbug you're over, Here Ebenezer scrooge. Style,
no the kids have so much pressure these, days and
they're getting picked on social.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Media if you just scream six seven, woo that's a,

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
