Speaker 1 (00:00):
Were on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's do this Mario. Courtney Lopez here back behind the mic.
Fired up to be hanging with you for the next
few hours. A lot of crazy radio fun to get into,
including taking up a new case in Cordo's coord so
my wife can serve up some justice Quarto style. Plus,
we're going to take a look at the buzz to
see what's trending. Honor someone with a good deed. Lopez,
you ward dig into our mentions to see what's on
your mind and play all your favorite tunes.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Turn it up.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 5 (00:28):
You're on, Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
More music headed your way first, some quick health buzz
and this is great news for people who love music
like me. A new study of older adults found that
those who listen to music most days had a thirty
nine percent lower likelihood of developing dementia than people who
listened less often. Playing music or singing was also linked
to a similar lower dimension risk. Researchers say music engages
(00:52):
multiple areas of the brain and may also support memory,
language coordination, and social connection, though more researchers needed to
understand why the link exists. When I'm in the car,
if I'm not making calls that I need to make,
I'm listening to music. I know podcasts are huge for driving,
but I'm either making calls that I need to make
(01:14):
or listening to tunes. Yeah, and that is gonna be consistent.
People always tell me, oh, jump in the podcast. I mean,
I guess I could, but I like here in tunes.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I actually, I think I listened to music probably forty
percent of my day. Like, I listen to music all
the time. I throw in earbuds when I'm doing stuff
around the house.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
I had.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
You're right, I'm not just in the corner.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I'm driving when I'm working out.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
If I'm working out, if I'm at the house cleaning, yeah,
if I'm in the backyard everything, I always have to
have music.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Yeah, same, I always have to have music.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
More Mario Lopez on the Way am Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Music rolls on right after Fraser breaks down a few
of the new things hitting TV and streaming.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Reacher Season four premieres on Prime Video.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
This was based on a movie, wasn't it Well?
Speaker 3 (01:55):
There were a couple Jack Reacher movies. There were Tom
Cruise played Jack Reacher. They were fun movies.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Yeah, fun. I haven't watched the show, but yeah, but
I like the Tom Cruise in it.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Tom Cruise, the movies were great. Yeah. Conversations with the Killer.
The Charles Manson Tapes. It wraps up the true crime
franchise by digging into never before heard prison tapes from
the notorious cult leader.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
So I recently interviewed Charles Manson's granddaughter, Oh, who has
a doc that she directed and produced on Hulu right now,
discovering that she was, in fact his granddaughter. Her father
never knew who his father was, and they did a genealogy.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Tool and you don't want to hear that.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Yeah, it's Charles Manson.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
You know. The irony is that he's known as his
notorious killer. He's never actually killed anyone.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
No, he convinced other people to do stuff. He also
was part of the government has recently released documents that
proved that he was part of the MK Ultra project
as well.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
What is that, Oh, it's one another thing. We got
to talk, that's a whole another thing.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
But when you compare him to John Wayne Gacy Ted Mundy,
that's a false equivalence because those guys did some murdering.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
They were actually doing the kill.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
He did not.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
And Women in Blue, also known as Los Azules, returns
for season two on Apple TV Plus. It follows Mexico's
first all female police unit as they tackle new dangerous cases.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Oh that's kind of cool. That's interesting because I like
it all right, all right, a few more songs than
going to take up a new case in Quartos Court
Mario and Courtney Lopez here, while Quorto's Court is for
entertainment purposes only. If you happen to find yourself in
a tough spot, maybe a disagreement with a friend or
a family member, or you just need some good old
fashioned advice, we'd love to help you out. Just slide
(03:30):
into our DMS over on ig at all Mario Lopez,
and maybe Judge Quarto will.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Help you out.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
O don't move Cordo's Court coming up back.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Mark, Courtney Lopez, It's time to take up a new
case in Coortos Court. So this is from Beverly and
she says, guys, our daughter got married in her early
twenties and we paid for a big wedding for her.
Two years later, she had a divorce because she was
cheating on her husband. We were extremely disappointed, but we
all moved on. Now, ten years later, she's engaged again
(04:00):
and wants us to pay for another large wedding. Ooh,
My husband and I continue to tell her no, but
she's being very demanding and.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Rude about it. What would you guys do?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Would you pay for your daughter's second wedding after you
already paid for the first?
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Who's a good question, this, honor.
Speaker 6 (04:14):
Here's the thing. No, I would not, especially the whole thing,
because that's just the way it is. I mean, she
has she's an adult. She makes these adult choices, cheating divorce,
she can pay for her own as a parent. I
would pay for you know, maybe the alcohol or something
(04:35):
to contribute to the wedding. I would for sure do that.
But if you're telling me she's being demanding and rude,
I wouldn't pay for you.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
No, I wouldn't even replace the blender that she lost
in the divorce.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
If I may add, I'm glad you waited ten years.
Maybe she matured and she's a little.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
More sure this time.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
And the fact that she already had a big wedding, Hey,
been there, done that.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Let's focus on the marriage's side.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yeah, you get one. And also she hasn't matured because
she's complain that our parents won't pay for something.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, and you know what I'm talking about maturing Yeah, yeah,
the cheating part right right right?
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Yeah, but also too, I question your parenting if she's
reacting that way.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
This is all your fault, mom and dad.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
More Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
A Mario Lopez music rolls on.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
But I wanted to mention this parents, if you've heard
your kids saying that's AI, don't assume they're talking about technology.
Apparently Jen Alpha has turned Wait, Jen Alpha's.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Your kids, all your kids.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Gen X, millennials, gen Z and then Jen Alpha correct, yes, okay, yes,
it's after gen Z got it.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Jen Alphas turned the phrase into their version of calling
something fake, sketchy, or just plain suspicious. If a toy
is a cheap knockoff, a story sounds made up, or
something feels a little off, kids just say, oh that's AI.
So now AA is becoming shorthand for anything that seems inauthentic.
We may have said something is plastic or photoshop, but
today it's AI.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
Well we can relate to oh that's photoshop.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
We don't use that anymore.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
Rip photoshop. Now it's all about AI. All right, let's
get back to the music. What al Mario Lopez here? Quick?
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Look at the buzz and this is not Big Brothers
celebrating their one thousandth episode.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
In a big way too.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
The episode is set to air on August twenty seventh.
It's going to be live ninety minutes long. Former house
guests are returning based on fan votes, and the show's
going to look back on special.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Moments from twenty six years.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
A Big Brother that's going to be followed by a
Big Brother blockbuster and a live eviction. More details will
be dropped closer to the date. I Rustling spoke with
Julie Chen who.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
Hoo's that show quite a gig And it.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Was funny because she told me she was in the
running for sixty minutes, but she didn't get it for
whatever reason. But they offered her this and she frowned
upon it and didn't want to do it initially, and
she quickly changed her tune.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
It's worked out. It's worked out quite well. I've never
seen a minute of that show exactly more.
Speaker 1 (07:24):

You all, Mario Lopez, more music and fun coming your
way before some quick food buzz coming soon. A healthier
Ketchup you forget. Ketchup's not exactly healthy. It's so good, though,
typical bottle of ketchup has pretty much zero protein.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Well until now.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
They figured out how to blend algae protein into tomato
ketchup to give it four times the original protein and
adding essential amino acids and minerals. But of course, putting
this new concoction of Ketchup on deep fried food doesn't
make your dinner much healthier. All that grease and saturated
fat will still be there.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
So what do I put on my deep fried food
to make it healthy?
Speaker 2 (08:34):
This is just not You're not adding to the grease
in fat French fries, I guess will be a little
bit better for you.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
My wife, who comes from ketchup capital of the world,
the Ketchup mines hunts.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
It's hunts, right or is it no hines no hies,
that's blast hines hines. That's right, heinze kids. Yes, I'm
sure she'll be excited about this. All right, let's get
back to this Maril Pass quick look at the bus
to talk nine O two to one OMG podcast drama.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
On with Mario Hollywood Buzz.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
So Tory Spelling is not ready to.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Discuss her departure from the nine O two one OMG
podcast that she hosted with Jenny Garth. Brian Austin Green
advised her to take time to reflect before speaking out,
and she announced on IG Live that she would no
longer be part of the podcast. While she did not
rule out a return in the future, she emphasized that
she needs time to assess and reflect. Jenny Garth addressed
(09:30):
sadness about Tory's decision. Bob remains committed to continuing the podcast.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Ah, this is sad.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
I wonder what happened.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
I heard she was trying to take some time to
go find your car here at Universal from your date
back in the day.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
Wow, no you took it back.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
No.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
No.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
It is weird though, because they've done this podcast together
for a while and just out of nowhere.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Yeah, and like, are we a little old to be?
I'm a little Seriously, Just come on, if you.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
Want to check it out.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
You can hear nine O two one OMG on the
free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Mario Lopez coming up ah.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Mario Lopez music rolls on right after Fraser tries to
make us think by quickly sharing one of the random
thoughts floating and said that what.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Do you got If reincarnation is real and time isn't linear,
then your next life could actually be ten thousand years
in the past.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
Let's rite, let's discuss.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
Time isn't linear for a second. What does that mean exactly?
Speaker 3 (10:19):
That means that all time exists at the same instance.
So the past president, in the future all exists in
the same moment.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
That's mad confusing.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
It's very confusing and very difficult to understand. But the
concept behind that is that time is the fourth dimension.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Okay, and that actually would explain the recent movie I saw,
the End of Oak Street. It might, I don't be
as there's a lot of that going on. Okay, that
makes a little more sense. And as far as reincarnation,
I know Hindus believe in that.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
There are some that believe. I don't necessarily believe in it,
but it is an interesting concept that if it does
exist and time isn't linear, then your next life could
be in the past. Well, not just that you already existed.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Do you get to choose what you're reincar and aid
it into.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Oh I don't think so, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
Well, I mean you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
That's not Yeah, what if you're a cricket.
Speaker 5 (11:19):
Lots more to get into as we power through this Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
What Amaro Lopez here got to magus twelve birthdays to
celebrate shor arely going to dig into the bus or
a quick logo?
Speaker 4 (11:26):

Speaker 5 (11:27):

Speaker 2 (11:28):
In the meantime, more music and back to honor someone
with our good deed Lopezy of the week.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
It's coming up next.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
You're all Mario Lopez quickly putting the spotlight on someone
doing something positive in the world with our good deed Lopezzi.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Who are honoring this week?
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Fraser a man by the name of Reid Robinson. He
made his first blood donation of the age of seventeen
after being inspired as a young boy by his father's
commitments and giving back. Reid is now seventy two years
old and that first donation was fifty five years ago.
He recently made his four hundred and eightieth blood donation
wow and brought his life along. Told to more than
sixty gallons of blood that he's donated.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
That's got to be a record.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
The milestone held deep personal meaning for Reid because it
took place on what would have been his late father's
one hundredth birthday. His donations are extra special because he
has CMV negative blood or rare status that makes his
donations crucial for life saving surgeries on infants and newborns. Wow,
he's not done yet. Reads committed to donating as long
as his health allows, and I think that probably is
a record.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Yes, what a hero. This is a real life hero.
Sixty gallons. He's saving babies, possibly all over the world. Wow,
that's awesome. Read. I wonder how his energy is and
all that, but apparently he's doing all right. He's been
doing it for years, so good for him.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
You're a Mario Lopez Music rolls on after a quick
digital pit stop at Almyra dot com, so Fraser can
tell us what's trending.

Speaker 2 (12:53):

so it would makes sense. But he's a good boy,
probably my sweetest kid too.

because my daughter was trying to tell me the backstory.
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Behind Stevie Nicks. Lindsay Buckingham like she.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
Was sharing the news she would know for the first time.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
But I love it. She appreciates the music anyway.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Former Fleetwood Mac bandmates have had a well documented, tumultuous history,
to say the least, made for some great music.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Though.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Last week, Lindsay told E News that he talks with
Stevie all the time now. He said, the band has
been working on a doc for Apple TV that's set
to come out at the beginning of next year.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Weren't you just asking for this?
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Yes, I can't wait to see it.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Lindsay also teas that next year is going to be
an interesting one, as Fleetwood Max celebrate the fiftieth anniversary
of their Classic Rumors album and their music is so good.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
It's as timeless as ever.
