Speaker 2 (00:34):
You're on, Mario Lopez, quickly putting the spotlight on someone
trying to do some good in the world.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
All right, Fraser, who we honoring this week with a
good deed?

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Lopezy eleven year old Weston Moore.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
He spent months quietly holding onto something most kids would
have spent right away, reward points that he earned for
good behavior at school, because he heard that a bicycle
will be raffled off at the end of the year,
so he decided he wanted to win it for a
younger sister, Addison. She'd been hoping for a bike Corona.
His parents only learn about the plant just before Christmas
after getting a call from the school. They soon realized

(01:03):
Weston had been saving his point since the start of
the school year and never told anyone what he was planning.
After picking up the bike, Weston set up the surprise himself,
placing it in the backyard and sending his sister outside.
The touching moment got nine million views, actually over nine
million views on social media, but his parents are trying
to keep the focus on the kindness behind the gesture,
not the attention that it's receiving.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
What a well raised young man, What a nice kid
Weston is now being that I have kids that are constantly.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
At each other's throats.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I'm sure him and Addison still go at it, but
he still went above and beyond, and at the end
of the day, you do love your siblings more. Mario
Lopez on the Way Award show for fans is back.
Mario Lopez here I heard Rate of Music Award was
going down. March twenty sixth on Fox. Voting is now
officially open. Helped choose this year's winners for Best lyrics,

(01:54):

your favorites now at all my dot Com slash war.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
All right, a few more songs.

Speaker 2 (02:02):

Mario Lopez. Here, by the way, if you find yourself
in the middle of a disagreement, a weird situation where
you just need some good old fashioned advice, hit us up.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Maybe Judge Quardo can help you out.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Just slide to our dms on Instagram at On with
Mario Lopez and don't move.

Courtney's Court.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
All rise for the honorable Judge Courtney Quarto Lomez, Courtina.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Ah.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Today's question comes from Sarah.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
She says, both of my parents are newly retired, in
their late sixties and healthy. The issue is it feels
like they just sit around too much and do nothing
but watch TV and look at their phones. Saved up
a good amount of money for retirement, but say they're
not going to spend a dime of it unless they
absolutely needed to. I'm trying to convince him to spend
time traveling going on vacation, you know, enjoy their life
for once, but they say no way, So how would

(02:55):
you convince them to go out and do something more
fun than just sitting around.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
This is a tough situation because you know they've worked
so hard you want them to relax, but then you
don't want them to relax too much to where they
don't move their body anymore and become rickety and you know,
can't move their joints. So I don't know. If they
don't want to spend the money, just ask them for
the money.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
And go on your own vacation.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
You know, I'm sure they're probably thinking about you and
wanting you and your family to be taken care of,
but you should just reassure them that you're good, your
family's good. They should take vacations and make new memories
and enjoy everything they've worked for.

Speaker 7 (03:33):
Well, Mario Lopez will be right.

Speaker 2 (03:35):

surnames have always.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Began so funny. You know what I do that with
Jeremy Darson.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
I do that in my phone with people that aren't
going to be in my life very long.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
They're temporary, sir, temporary.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
So I don't really like yesterday when I took a
car service, I put Carlos driver, Yeah, because he's just
the driver.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
They're in there temporarily in their labels.

because I know I'm not going to use them that.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
But do you erase them out later or do you
leave them in forever?

Speaker 8 (05:14):
No?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I leave them in because in case something breaks down
in the pre corps.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, then you have it, you know, so you can
look up the brand and find the guy.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Correct, because if you put John's last name, you're not
gonna find You're not gonna remember that dude's name.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
But I do take the driver out because I'm always

You know, we always like to celebrate all the obscure holidays,
but today is a really.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Important one World Cancer Day.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Cancer is one of the hardest health challenges humanity faces.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Everyone deals with it in some form or another.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
And even today, half of all cancer diagnosises are still
fatal and that's why early screening is crucial in the
fight against cancer. Unfortunately, where then half of the people
don't get screenings. Though, good news is that fire is
finding to change that. They've launched a new experience at
their site Pfizer for All dot Com or anyone can
check what cancer screenings are right for them and easily

(06:09):

Speaker 5 (06:10):

Speaker 2 (06:11):
It's fast, it's informative and convenient, especially as you get older.
You really got to see on top of your health.
Case in point, I recently had a colonoscopy.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Which, by the way, I'm so glad I did.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I was sort of reluctant to get in there, and
it was quick, it was easy, painless, and now I
don't have to worry about anything for like another seven years.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
That's true, and same with me for a mammogram. It's
one of those things where nothing's wrong, you like don't
want to make time to go get it checked, but
you have to.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
You're exactly right.

Now in a horror flick The Strangers chapter three, Back
to get the scoop on Matt and morowhen Madeline joins us.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Next up, Bro Mario Lopez joining me right now.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
You know her from the hit TV series Riverdale, actress
Madeleine Pech.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
How are you, Madeline? Well, thank you, Harria, I'm doing well.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Thank you. Congrats.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
You got a new horror film hit in theaters February sixth,
These Strangers, Chapter three, And you've been in all three
of the films. For people who may not be familiar
with the franchise, what's the premise?

Speaker 8 (08:14):
The first film is a classic home invasion film.

Speaker 9 (08:17):
We've got three massed individuals trying to kill a couple
in their vacation home.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
I guess you could say.

Speaker 7 (08:23):
I love a home invasion, love a little.

Speaker 8 (08:25):
Home invasion film.

Speaker 9 (08:27):
And then it turn, it takes a turn in chapter three,
chapter two, because my character is left alone in the
woods and fighting to survive and running away from these
people in a foreign city. And then chapter three, she's
no longer trying to survive, She's trying to win. And
so you kind of get to watch the real time
evolution of the final girl in these films, which is
really fun.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
Are you being chased by the same people or these
different people?

Speaker 8 (08:49):
Same people relentless.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
They're persistent. You got to give them.

Speaker 8 (08:54):
That, honestly, if you could take anything from the Strangers.
It's tenacity, I should say.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Or Lopez coming up talking to Strangers Chapter three with
actors Madeline Page Mario Lopez here.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
Now you've been part of this whole series. So are
you happy with Howard wraps Up?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
I am.

Speaker 9 (09:10):
I think it's a it's a divisive ending, but that's
why we make films. I'm really I'm really proud of it,
and I think it's a really strangely intimate ending, which
is not what you would expect from a horror film.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
Okay, okay, I love me a horror film, so nice.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
And I heard you a bit of a horror film
enthusiast to yourself, right, I am.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I am.

Speaker 7 (09:28):
Give me your give me your mount Rushmore of horror films.

Speaker 8 (09:32):
Climax by Gasperanilla.

Speaker 7 (09:33):
Well that was quick off the time.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (09:35):
It's my It's just my favorite. It's one of my
favorite films maybe ever. It's shot so beautifully, it's shot
looks like a.

Speaker 8 (09:41):
Shot in the winter.

Speaker 9 (09:42):
It's a It's a French film about a bunch of
dancers and a rave taking drinking this punch and taking
these crazy drugs and it just becomes like this.

Speaker 8 (09:50):
Entire horrific drug trip. It's really wow, It's I love
claustrophobic clam making. I think it's really special.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
I think I've experienced that big one.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Getting back to actress Madeline Patron Riverdale. And then a
horror movie Strangers Chapter three, Y're on, Mario Lopez. And
as far as this other movie I know you did
a couple months back, it's very very different rom com
correct Maintenance Required. That's over on Amazon Prime where we
can still check it out. What's that one about?

Speaker 9 (10:16):
Oh? Maintenance Required is such a lovely little film. It's
about a mechanic, Charlie who is running her dad's mechanic
shop and fighting to keep it open as a big
behemoth store across the street opens up to take all
of her business away, while simultaneously having an online relationship
with somebody and it ultimately being the person who's opening
the street across the shop across the street, and kind

(10:37):
of coming to terms with knowing and one of them
not knowing, and then having this rivalry in person and
this kind of really intimate online relationship, and you know,
it's an homage.

Speaker 8 (10:44):
You've got mail. Oh?

Speaker 7 (10:46):
I love that film? Oh cool and you've you've produced
a few of these, correct, Yes, yeah.

Speaker 8 (10:50):
I produce The Strangers and maintenance required.

Speaker 7 (10:52):
Actually, oh nice, Nice, that's always find a lot of work.

Speaker 8 (10:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (10:57):
I think it's really cool time to be an actor
because we had a lot more autonomy than I think,
you know, historically we've been getting.

Speaker 8 (11:02):
So it's really nice to be able to really have
a little bit more saying what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
We're wrapping up with Madeline Page Mario Lopez. You're a
new movie is Strangers Chapter three. But before you go, I.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Wanted to mention this.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
You got a couple of other flicks I know you've
announced recently. One called Pretty Babies.

Speaker 7 (11:18):
Is that one, the one about the teenage runaways?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (11:21):
Yeah, we just finished shooting that and I just watched
the first cut. It's it's a really impactful dark film.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
And then another one called Chasing Red. Is that more
on the romantic side?

Speaker 8 (11:31):
Yes, I shoot that next week. I gotta go shoot that.

Speaker 7 (11:34):
Oh you're staying in town, are you?

Speaker 1 (11:36):

I've actually spent some time there, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Mario actually found a Mexican restaurant there.

Speaker 6 (11:57):
A Mexican restaurant.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Owned by someone home by somebody I went to high
school with, which is like, so random, very.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
First Mexican restaurant in Saudi Arabia, by the.

Speaker 8 (12:04):
Way, and you know what, the person who owns.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
It, Yes, my friend that I went to high school with,
so randomly, so crazy.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
Isn't that so crazy?

Speaker 5 (12:12):
