Time to head into Courtney's court so Judge Quardo can

All rise for the Honorable Judge Courtney Cordo Lopez. All right,
This one comes from Shelley in Washington. She says, I've
been seeing this guy for a few weeks. He's super
nice and we've been having a blast. The other night,

(02:51):
after our date, I agree to go back to his
condo with him to see his place and meet his dog.
When I get there, he has a set up in
his living room with like sixty sound buttons, so his
dok and talk to him the dog and press on
the button and says things like I love you, treat
please walk other things. I really think he believes his

star power.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Michael B.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Jordan and Austin Butler already set to star as tubbs
in Crockett.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Now.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
I want to pause for a second because I love
Miamivice back in the day. Is Is it just me?
Do I seem old in saying this? But Michael B
and Austin Butler seem a little young. I see those roles.
I feel like Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas were
a little more mature, a little older. They feel they
felt more like men. Yeah, without due respect, they seem

(04:31):
too young. I agree with you, but I think they're
about the same age. I think people just look younger
or something. Is that because we're older. I don't understand.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
They just look like they're high school, you know, they
look like they should be a twenty one Jump Street.
There you go, not Miami Vice.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, okay, anyway, we got Whitney Peak joined in the cast,
possibly playing Tubbs's love interest. You may know her from
the revival of gossip Girl. This movie, not a TV show,
will put a new spin on the old school show
that starred Don and Philip, and I'm looking forward to
seeing how they're going to interpret it. It's going to
be a minute though. Film doesn't have a release until

(05:08):
what a Mario Lopez Here was something I ran across,
kind of perfect for way back Wednesday. A recent ask
Reddick thread ask people to share traits they found embarrassing
at age eighteen but not consider attractive as adults. Most
of the answers sent it, I'm becoming comfortable with responsibility, stability,
and simply caring less about looking cool. I think that
that's just called maturing. Others said early bedtimes.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yes, oh that's the best.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Now my childhood punishment is my adult goalpe Oh my gosh,
wearing a bike helmet, I still don't rock.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
I'm not doing that.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, and planning ahead. I did turn out to be
a big planner. More Mario Lopez coming up old Mario
Courtney Lopez back to school creeping up on us. It's
a great reminder that teachers make a difference each and
every day, and now's your chance to say thank you
with iheartradios Thank you teacher, powered by donors choose.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
This is your chance to nominate and now standing public
school teacher who goes above and beyond the students, and
then they could be one of our five thousand dollars
winners for our classroom supplies and resources. Teachers give so much.
I know that firsthand. Now it's our turn to give
back to them. On with Mario dot com slash teachers
to find out more and nominated teacher Now Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
More music and fun coming your way. Be first. Got
to dispel another TikTok myth. TikTok added again one of
the biggest myths on social media right now is that
blending up fruits and veggies will result in eternal sunscreen. Huh,
I didn't know that was a rumor. Okay. Skin experts
say there's nothing to that to avoid a sunburn. Your
best badtesty of sunscreens that a broad spectrum and at

(06:41):
least an SPF thirty rating, even when it's cloudy. But
I also read recently that there's certain chemicals in the
sun's screen that could cause damage to your skin. So
it's pick your poison. I'm going to go with the
sunscreen because I think the sun is a lot more powerful.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
I was told you're not supposed to go with chemical sunscreens,
You're supposed to go with a different natural deal.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
I don't know what it is. It's a different bass.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Just stay in the shade, all right, let's get back
to the music. John Maria Lopez, My girl. Kelly Clarkson
and just wrapped up her Vega's residency over the weekend,
made some headlines for something she said at her final show.
After she spotted a fans etsy shirt for her movie
from Justin to Kelly, she joked it was Oscar worthy
the shirt of the movie. First of all, the fact
that girl wore that shirt, that's awesome. Immediately explained she

(07:27):
was contractually obligated to do the film after winning American
and I don't I remember her saying that before, and
now she bluntly called it bleed. You can fill in
the word. Kelly went on to say she cried watching
it because acting wasn't what she wanted, and that's why
she's actually banned or kids, River Rose and Remington from
seeing it. That's hilarious, great sense of humor.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
I've also banned that film in my house as well.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Gosh, Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Maria Lopez music rolls on right after Fraser tries to
make us think by quickly sharing one of the random
thoughts floating around in his head. What do you got?

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Isn't it interesting that light bulbs were such a great
idea that they became the mascot and symbol for good ideas, thing.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Right, sound?

Speaker 3 (08:09):
And then you always see the light bulb above people's heads, and.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Then you get all the light bulb jokes. How many
people does it take to screw in right?

Speaker 3 (08:14):
And apparently it takes a lot of people, a lot
of people, no matter who you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Oh much more to get into as we power through
this Wednesday, you're on with Mario Lopez. Got some August
nineteenth birthdays to celebrate. Shortly, gonna dig into the bus
or a quick look at what's trending, and gott to
honor someone with our good Deed Lopezi Award. That's coming
up next, You're all Mario Lopez quickly putting the spotlight
on someone doing something positive in the world with our
good deed. Lopezzy, who are we honoring this week? Shakra Shakita.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
She is punting up some big bucks to help victims
of the Columbian earthquake. The singer's pledged one point two
five million dollars to her home country to build new
schools in the region. She made a surprise visit to
the country the other day to tour some of the
damaged schools and meet with some of the children. The
money was pledged through her Barefoot Foundation in partnership with
Live Nation and other organizations. So she's stepping up to

(09:16):
help out those that lived in the country she came from.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
That's awesome. Yes, she is from Columbia. Once she got
her whole tax issues settled over in Ipana, She's been
pretty charitable with a lot of mo money and good
for her. She's been a star for a long time.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Joll Mario Lopez music rolls on after Quick Digital Pit
Stop and on Mario dot Com. So Fraser can Tell's
this was trending.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Twenty twenty six MTV Video Music Award nominations are out.
You can find out who's nominated for stuff. Fun Man
wearing a Chucky saw mask was seeing terrorizing people in Philadelphia.
You can watch the video of that a.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Little early for that. Might want to wait for Halloween.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
And Chris Brown and Usher add more dates to their
R and B tour after earning one hundred million dollars already.
And you will be seeing Chris Brown soon.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
I will him and Usher. It sounds like Chris Brown
is cleared up those legal troubles. So let's let's hope
he stays. Let's hope he stays on the right track.
I'mar Courtney Lopez celeb birthday is coming up? At first?
What random holiday we celebrating today? Honey?

Speaker 4 (10:21):
It is National Potato Day.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Carb it up?

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Love a carb Ooh, shout out to my favorite starch,
the potato. The thing about a potato is that you
can enjoy it in so many different ways, right, it
is so versatile, mashed French fries, all the different French
fry things you can use it for in sash brown
hash exactly. It goes on and on. Yes, is an

(10:48):
important holiday, all right, Let's get to today's celeb birthdays.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
What up?

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Mario Lopez here along with producer Fraser, was gonna shout
him out. I'm gonna try to guess the agents.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Who do We got Erica Christiansen from Parenthood and swim
him fan and stuff.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
I think Erica. I say she's forty two, forty four, Okay,
Fat Joe, Fat Joe, who has some stories? He can
tell a tall tale.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
He should be lying Joe.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
He's a colorful storyteller, to say the least. He's funny.
I like jo by Joe though.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Can you tell a story about how he had an
army of neighborhood kids that used to He told a.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Story that he robbed his Jim class. That's all the kids,
and he had him so scared that he the kids
helped him take all the stuff to his court. Yeah,
that's right, that's according to him, true story allegedly. With
all that said, I think he is fifty five.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Fifty six, oh, almost the closer. Kira Sedgwick also married
to Kevin Bacon.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
I believe hitting the sixth Level sixty.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Sixty one oh from Entourage, Kevin Dylan fifty eight sixty
one Wow from Full House. John Stamos sixty three. That
is correct. Oh, that Peter Gallagher from the OCOD Peter
Gallagher While you were sleeping?

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Who was in one of my favorite movies as a kid,
The Idol Maker with Ray Sharky. Excellent movie.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
I don't know if I know that movie.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
It's a great movie. They should redo it. Actually, I'm
going to say Peter Gallagher's got to be.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Seventy seventy one. And former President Bill Clinton.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Bill Clinton, I believe, is still younger than our current
president and past president both President Biden President Trump. I
think Bill's younger. So I think Bill is coming in
seventy six eighty eighty. He's still younger.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Yeah, or Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
You're on, Morio Lopez. Since January, hundreds of files about
UFO sidings have been released by the US government. What
would you do if it happened to you? Experts say,
you see a UFO, stay calm, document everything down to
the second it was seen and how it was traveling.
Of course, try to take pictures or.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Video posts on social media immediately.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yes, government does not have a place to report sidings.
Don't bother calling nine one one. There's nothing they can
do there is the National UFO Reporting Center. You can
reach them at new Force dot org. Recently, this is
a bipartisan issue. People have come out and the government
basically saying, yeah, yeah, we we have UFOs and yes,
yes there are aliens we don't happen.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Which basically means that's not true and there's something else
is going on.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Well, I've never heard them be so vocal about it before.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
It is weird.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Great documentary called Age Disclosure. Yes, that makes you really
sort of think about everything. And they talked about they
talked to people from both sides of the aisle, and
it's basically confirmed like what we've always thought. Okay, but
what are we supposed to do with that information now?

Speaker 4 (13:35):
All right?

Speaker 3 (13:35):
I still got to pay rent?

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yeah exactly. Yeah, Amaro Courtney Lopez keeping the music coming

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Festival omorow, Courtney Lopez Fraser, what are we doing here?

Speaker 3 (14:10):
We're gonna do a mini pop quiz all about potatoes.
This is potato trivia, hands on buzzers. What fast food
chain introduced the baked potato to its menu November of
nineteen eighty three, Courtney.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
That would be your ginger friend Wendy's.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
That is correct? Wow, wow, wow on is zero?

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Pretty good? Okay, someone's cheating.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
She's carving it up over cheating.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
I don't even have I'm not even holding my phone.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Today, of course, is National Potato Day. But what month
is traditionally designated as Potato Lovers Month? That was barely Courtney,
November incorrect?

Speaker 1 (14:48):
For Thanksgiving? Then I'll go October incorrect? What is it?

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Potato Lovers Month? Is February? Maybe they playing at Valentine's Lovers.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
I don't know winter, it's cold. Yeah, potatoes aren' every month?
Is potato every day?

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Every day? Pretty much? So it's one to zero. Still
a couple left. Here we go. What famous comedian gave
mister potato Head a voice in the movie Toy Story Mario.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Cliff from the Cheers, John Ratzenberger incorrect.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
It is not God.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
How do I not know this?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
You've probably seen this movie a thousand times.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Is a character?

Speaker 3 (15:23):
It's not done he I think he does play a character,
but it's not mister potato Head.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
According the neighbor on Tim the tool Man, Taylor, Oh.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
The the guy you never saw Wilson, Yeah, that guy's
actually dead. No, Don Rickles, Don Rickles, all right, one left?
Here we go on what TV show does Elaine claim
her fits.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Cheers?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Incorrect?

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Get the questions? Actually the question was on what TV
show does Elaine claim her fictitious boyfriend? Art Vandala imports
potato chips? And it was Seinfeld, Wow.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Cheers more. Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Mario Lopez here. And we've all heard that we shouldn't
be doom scrolling on our devices when we're trying to
go to sleep, because then you end up just staying
up a lot later and it's really not healthy. What
about reading a book though? That may be a much
better way to end the day. Sleep and brain health
experts say reading before bed can help quiet a busy mind,
reduce stimulation, and create a reliable cue that tells your

(16:37):
body time to wind down. But not reading off a
blue screen, old school, actual book, which I prefer it,
reduces stress and help shift the body from an alert
state toward a more relaxed one. So went, in doubt,
go old school and read a book. I was really
good about it last year. I got to get better
about it this year. I was reading at least a
chapter a night. That is going to be my mid

(16:59):
year resolution. Mario Lopez here getting close to the end
of our radio fund. Just one last thing to get
to plus probably enough time to play a request or
two before I get out of here. So if you
got a song you want to hear, hit me up
at All and Mario on X It's ebyl Mario Courtney
Lopez Taber. One last thing. This past weekend, my wife

(17:19):
and I got to spend a fun filled weekend with
my parents. Yes, they came and visited us at a casino.
Awesome time. There had some great meals. But my mom
and dad are so funny. We're constantly laughing at them.
At them, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
It, they don't know they're funny.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
We're dinner, for example, and my dad sees me bust
out my glasses to read the menu, my reading glasses,
and he says, see, I don't use reading glasses. I
don't meet hearing aids. You get all that from your mom,
and she's so random, Like he's going like this, listen.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
He doesn't want to blame for your flaws.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
But then the flip side of it is he can't hear.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
He swears he can hear, He swears he can hear.
I'm yelling this that dad, let me get you. Let
me get you some hearings, which were you crazy? You
need and you can't see it because your mom. Just
the whole thing is comedy all time. And then they're there.
They can't hear each other and they're each other. It's funny.

(18:25):
But we all ended up gambling and pops one nice
pops on, which was so nice and it's so funny.
He's like, may anytime you come to casino, please invite us.
He was like a little kid, and anything we had
left over from all our meals he took, he took.
And I'm not lying. When we left the property, he
had about six bags. Awesome food frustratos. I'm gonna eat

(18:49):
this all week. I go I know you wrong with that,
but hilarious any left doors everything, He's just pure comedy.
Shout out Mama, Papa Lopez.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
All right, that's it. Thanks so much for hanging out
Omara dot com to relive any in all of our
radio fun. We are going to be back to do
it again tomorrow. Till then, Mario Courtney Lopez saying good night.
