Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Here we go, Mario, Courtney Lopez back behind the mind,
fired up to get to hang with you for the
next few hours. A lot of radio fun to get into,
including a quick musical trip into the past with our
throwback soundtrack. Plus my wife's gonna hook us up with
a live hacker two in Quardo's corner. We're gonna ask
a random question, dig into the buzz to see what's
trending in so much more so, turn it up. You're
on with Mario and Courtney Lopez. A Mario Lopez keeping

(00:26):
the music in fun coming your way right after Fraser
tells us about a few of the new things on
TV and streaming the five Star Weekend.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
On Peacock, Jennifer Garner plays a celebrity chef who gathers
her old friends on Nantucket to process our husband's death.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Oh, this was sad.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I should probably have been more sad about it and
process some drama and secrets guaranteed.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I don't know if it's so sad. I actually think
they find humor. Okay, sort of dark moment in her life.
For some reason, it reminds me of the show The
Four Seasons which actually like, it's pretty good, but I
may be totally wrong.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I haven't watched that yet, but the title does give
me that same it does a Little House on the Prairie.
The reboot is on Netflix, the full eight episode season
about the Ingles family Frontier Life all ready to binge.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I like that this is getting a reboot. It's been
a long time and a little wholesome nostalgic television is
I think needed right now.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
And The Man Will Burn on HBO. It's a four
part docuseries diving deep into Burning Man's wild evolution and
desert chaos.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
So a few years back, a friend of mine, good
friend of mine, who's a smart guy. He spent a
good two hours at dinner with Time trying to convince
me to go to Burning Man and how it'll change
my life and strengthen my relationship and I'll never look
at the world the same again. I go, Bro, that's
a heavy pitch, and I'm like, really, think you have
to go to Burning Man to do those drugs? Well,
that's exactly I said, But he really And this is

(01:48):
smart guy, yeah, yeah, who's really successful.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
And I'm like, listen, what loud, it may work for
some of them. There's a lot of crazy things that
go on there, but there are a lot of very successful,
smart people who do go to it every year.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I don't know about going to Burning Man, but I'll
tell you what. I may watch the dock, Yes that
counts or something that's a start. Yeah, Ah, Maria Lopez.
It's a few songs away from Quardo's Corner where Fraser
stepping in with a life hack, which you got Fraser.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
It is going to be simple ways that you can
wake up your brain when you're super tired in the morning.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Ooh, aside from coffee, I'm assuming yes this is this
is not caffeine, all right, back with Fraser's Corner in
tim Lem John Mario Lopez make it a quick stop
in a Quardo's Corner and my wife had to step
out to Fraser's filling in what you got.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So there's nothing worse than when you're like extra tired
in the morning, you can't get your brain going at
brain fog. So a few simple tricks to wake up
your brain. The first one is to trick it. Okay,
you brush your teeth with your non dominant hand.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Oh, that makes you start thinking.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
The unfamiliar motion gets the brain firing. Splash cold water
in your face.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
That's a given.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
That's like a pretty obviously yeah, do twenty jumping jacks
or chew gum. Chewing gum is one of those things
people don't think about, but it actually does, like just
kind of get you moving.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I'm a big gum proponent. I can't do any form
of exercise without two pieces of gum. And mint is
best and mant usually I usually choose ment, but seriously,
the gum thing is real. And if I'm not chewing gum,
then I'll have my mouthpiece in. But yeah, I always
got to have something to kind of buy down. I
can co.

Speaker 1 (03:17):

(04:07):
Mario Lopez Here? Who's this one? From Frasier? This is
from Tanya Gillard.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Excited to see your Tony dance a Christmas movie later
this year, but what's up with your son's other movie?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
When's that out? I don't want to miss it? Thank you, Tanya,
I appreciate the kind words. And yeah, Tony Danz and
myself and my son Dominic all appearing in a Christmas
movie title yet to be determined, but probably going to
air the weekend after Thanksgiving on Great American Family, in
Great American pure Flix, Hulu, a bunch of different platforms,

(04:37):
so hopefully you'll check that out. But prior to that,
my son Dominic's other movie Bad Counselors hits theaters for
a week only July twenty second through the twenty seventh.
It is such a fun movie. It really turned out cute.
I think people are gonna like it. It's one of
those parents go watch with their kids. Everybody will get
entertained and after that you go be able to stream it,

(05:00):
but trying to catch it in the theaters. July twenty second,
Bad Counselors.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Al Mario Lopez music rolls on. After a quick look
at the bus, fans at Harry Styles Saturday show got
more than they paid for. During his record break and performance,
Harry's fly was down, evidently, and it was pretty noticeable
to the ninety thousand fans. Oh my gosh, no one
told him. Yeah, like Harry the digit durdy. Maybe it
was a fashion choice. Footage on social media shows him

(05:27):
dropped to his knees during As it was they realized
the fly situation there, okay, because you're kind of squished
down and get it and then discreetly zipping himself back up,
you should have just at that point completely unzipped.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, like it's not discreetly at that point,
everyone knows you got to lean.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Into it allmrio dot com check it all out. Post
Office raising the prices, you're all with Mario Lopez. The
cost of mailing a letter is set to go up
next week, which I find ironic because I don't think
people mail as often as they did. You figured it
go down.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Everything's digital now, right, Like, I can't tell you the
last time I bought a stamp.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Yeah, well, the US Postal Service is raising the cost
of a forever stamp to eighty two cents starting Sunday,
pending approval that they'll most likely get. That's a four
cent increase, which doesn't seem like much. But ten years
ago a forever stamp was only forty seven cents. Wow,
that is a big Ten years ago, people mailed stuff more. Yeah. Correct.
Other services will see price jumps, including mailing postcards international letters.

(06:23):
The increases come after the USPS warned earlier this year
that it could run out of money within a year.
That's wild. Can you imagine the post office? Because everybody
pays their bills, I assume online, right, Yeah, I think
my parents are still old school.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
I mean, there are some people that do that, but
now even with like older people, you can just set
up automatic payments and stuff and it just kind of
is done, and then they don't. People aren't mailing as much,
like there are some old people that will. They're still
writing checks.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yeah, yeah, writing checks. Wow. All right, let's get back
to the music. So have you heard about Nido's you're
all Mario Lopez. Needo's are these squishy sensory toys sweeping
the internet. Wait, my son Dominic has been into these
for months now. He was ahead of the game. So
you've heard about NEOs, Yes, I've seen them. I've seen them.
He calls them squishies. Oh okay, and I know the

(07:13):
scientific term. You know what he does. I can't believe
I'm gonna share this, but he has a little hustle
at school. He has a bunch of needles and he
rents them out, oh exact, to kids, and he's made
I think, like forty something bucks. That's actually smart moves. Yeah,
he's renting out his needles. All right. Anyway, the craze
is nuts. It's actually causing some stories to sell out

(07:33):
in minutes. They're like these super soft toys you can
squeeze in the palm of your hands, you pull them
and you stretch them. It's supposed to ease your anxiety.
It all goes back to its original shape. They have
ones that look like little dogs, McDonald's fries, jellyfish, ice creams,
you name it. Put of warning though, make sure the
kiddos don't heat the needles up. Who's doing that? I
don't like fillingk imurst and cause of ear burns. No,

(07:55):
don't go throwing them in the mind now, why would
you do that?

Speaker 1 (07:58):
More? Mario Lopez coming up.

random question coming up next. All Mario Lopez wasting no
time getting right to a random question. You got frasier.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
If you were a global pop superstar on the level
of Michael Jackson, Beyonce, a prince just the legends, what
would your version of he he be he?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I don't know, I kind of like it. You can't
steal it, though, Can I steal his tremona? Yeah, you
can take that one.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
All right.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I like tremonia. You know what I you know where
I'd steal from Randy Macho Man Savage and my my
version of he Heat would be oh yeah, Randy Macho
Man sas Mario walks out Onrio Lopez, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
More Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
On the way you are, Mario Lopez quickly shouting out
some celebs having a birthday today is always Fraser's gonna
tell us you's celebrating. I'm gonna try to guess the
age who we got Fred Savage from The Wonder Years director.
I'm gonna say Fred is hitting the fifth level. Fifty
fifty is correct? Hey, look at that Jack White from
The White Stripes. Jack's gotta be forty five fifty one.

(10:02):
Oh wow. Okay.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Someone we saw passed out on a couch with the
Arheartradio Music Festival once backstage, Courney Love.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Courtney Love, who's son and no daughter, recently got married,
so she's got I'm gonna say she is fifty six
sixty two. Wow.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Okay, Corney Love is sixty two. Kelly McGillis from Top Gun.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Kelly McGillis is sixty six sixty nine wow. Okay. Forrest
Gump himself, Tom Hanks, a lot of people born in
this day, Okay. Tom Hanks has gotta be sixty eight
seventh level. Wow, he's sitting the seventh seventy. And finally,
Jimmy Smith's Jimmy very nice guy, talkedim a few times.
I'm gonna say he's sixty four seventy one. Wow. He

(10:42):
looks good.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Oh, Mario Lopez back to the music right after a
quick digital pid stop at on Muri Dot com so
Frazer Cann tell us what's trending.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Full list of the twenty twenty six Emmy nominations up there,
find out who's leading with the most noms, who got snobbed?

Speaker 2 (10:56):
All that stuff? Okay?

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Watching Ale Horne surprise his crowd with Tom Threat for
an unforgettable debut.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Oh, I didn't see that due coming. And Katie Kirk
diagnosed with a rare temporary memory loss condition. Huh. I
want to find out what that is and claim it
once in a while. Yeah, right, Hopefully everything's okay with
Katie Olmarria dot com for all that and more, keep
it the music and fun coming your way? Or al
Mario Lopez just realized we forgot to celebrate today's obscure

(11:23):
a holiday. Would we find Frasier National Sugar Cookie Day? Ooh?
I like sugar cookies. We had some at my son
Santino's birthday the other day and they still hit. No
matter what, they still hit. Speaking of his birthday, he
asked me something the other day and I thought it
was it was cute. He said, Hey, Dad, I know
I'm seven years old now, but how many more years
until I'm an adult? Say? Well, you know, technically I

(11:45):
about to love more years yet, So why And he says,
will you still be atlive then? And I said, I
hope so planning on it? Why? Well, just because that
means I'm an adult and I'll be able to make
money and then I can give you money. So you
always giving me whoa which I thought was very sweet.
But he wanted to make sure I was gonna be
a live yeah, to which I said, do you think

(12:08):
I'm that old? You know what it is?

Speaker 3 (12:09):
I think it's because he's only lived seven years, like
a year is a really long time.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
He also knows that I'm fifty two. Yeah, so when
he says that number, he always has it like fifty two. Yeah,
it's like what it sounds like it's the biggest thing ever.
But he asked it so innocently. Do you think he
still be alive?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Then?

Speaker 2 (12:25):
I plant it. But he wants to make me money.
Let's good, but he wants to make his own money.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Give me you'll be retired, He'll be He'll be able
to fund your life.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, Mario Lopez. Here music rolls on right after some
quick food buzz chicken nuggets. Not just for kids anymore?
More and more adults have figured out that they're pretty
healthy nuggets these days, are they? Though? Instead of those
mystery natural flavors, makers have up their game. Frozen varieties
are using oats, sea salt, fennel, and other ingredients for

(12:53):
their coading. Well that's good to hear. Their air fier friendly.
Love that, and now they come in fun flavors like
dill pickle and cheesy jalapeno. Yeah. Yes, Upscale restaurants are
even playing around with caviar top nuggets. I've had a
caviar top nugget. That's a waste. It's a waste, and
it doesn't really come waste of nugget it is. But listen,
I think that's a big reason for the success of
raising canes. But basically chicken nuggets. Yes, it's long chicken

(13:16):
and they have great sauces. Yes, exactly.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (13:22):

One last thing. Mentioned this briefly yesterday, but Mattel has
released new Barbie signature doll honoring none other than Miley Cyrus.

(14:03):
The doll features a faux leather outfit inspired by Miley's
looking her film Something Beautiful and includes accessories like sunglasses
and a microphone. The Miley Barbie Signature Doll is available
for purchase through various retailers, and collectors need to act
quickly as music theme Barbies tend to become scarce and
increase in value over time. You know, I always tease
my mom about collecting dolls, But all the Barbie's and

(14:25):
different dolls she's collected over the years, I'm sure they're
worth a pretty penny.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
But they're selling boxes and stuff, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
worth a why Mom, I apologize that's Slater.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
