Speaker 1 (00:00):
On on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Here we go. It's up. It's Corney Lopez back behind
the mic and flying solo today because Mario is out
filming something for a big TV show. Lots of fun
stuff to get into. Plus we're going to share some
helpful life hacks and quartos corner that's my corner, third person.
Plus we'll talk about the top summer vacation destinations, dig

(00:24):
into the buzz to see what is trending, and filter
through our mentions to see what is on your mind.
All that and more so, turn it up with Mario
and Courtney Lopez. Okay, listen to me. Okay, I'm gonna
ask you a question. Do you think you have the
sixth sense?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Are you asking if I was in the sixth sense?
Or do I have one?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
No? If you have, I said the sixth sense.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I think I do. Yes, I do a little bit
of one.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I do. And I'm not even kidding. I know, I
kid a lot. This is Courtney Lopez. I'm a psychic.
If you do, you are not alone. If you have
a sixth sense. A lot of people apparently think they do,
especially younger adults. New research shows nearly one in five
Americans say that they're basically psychic, and that number climbs
even higher with gen Z. Aren't we gen z? Kind

(01:12):
of well, we're millennium.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Well we're technique. Like they try to say we're millennials,
but we're somewhere in between millennials and Gen X, so
they call us xenials. Okay, like xennials or something. Well,
we're the goonies, We're the goodies. We're the goodies those.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I love that those gut feelings can be helpful, which
is a woman's intuition. But there's a difference between a
woman's intuition and anxiety. Inuition tends to feel calm and clear,
while anxiety is louder and harder to ignore. I guess
for me, I can see things happening before they do

(01:48):
in a weird way.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
So you're a psychic, yes, yeah, you just said you're psychic.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, But I do have to say a woman's intuition
is not to be messed with.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
I've witnessed it in this room with you.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Thank you, come out.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
For Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
You're on with Courtney Lopez and we're keeping the music
and fun coming your way as Frazer quickly tells us
about some of the new stuff on TV and streaming.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Unchosen on Netflix Season one of that, When a young
mother from a sheltered colts crosses paths with a mysterious stranger,
she embarks on a risky affair that awakens desires and
dark secrets.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Then wouldn't she be chosen?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I don't know, Maybe she's unchosen. I have no idea,
but I know Mario loves the colts so well. Watch
Farmer Wants a Wife Season four of that. The series
follows hardworking farmers searching for real, lasting love. A new
group of single women leave behind city comforts, dating apps,
and urban life for money boots, early mornings, sunrise chores,
and the realities of country farm living.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We have a friend who owns a farm back in
Cleveland or Cincinnati, Ohio, and he should be on the show.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
He should be when they do the Golden Farmer. Perhaps
because he's a little older.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Well because eventually he's not going to be able to
take care of the farm.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Someone's don't have to do it right. There's a lot
of animals there, and bear Grills is running wild. The
series premiere of that legendary British adventurer and survivalist Bear
Grills takes a list celebrities on intense, forty eight hour
journeys into some of the planet's most extreme and unforgiving
wilderness locations. Matthew McConaughey on episode one, and they're in
the Norway glaciers.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Oh that sounds cold, it does. You're all with Courtney Lopez.
Got some April twenty first birthdays to shout out? Shortly
in the meantime, why don't we squeeze in today's obscure
holiday if there is one, mister Fraser, kindergarten day, Sunny's there,
Today's day, Today's day?

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Do you know what I have photo? Did you have
a kindergarten graduation?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I'm sure I did, but I don't remember. And now
that you mentioned that, I am on the committee for
Sonny's kindergarten graduation, so I'll be planning it.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Oh, you probably should be planning that very soon.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
All right, it's time to celebrate some April twenty first birthdays.
Courtney Lopez here along with Fraser, Who's going to tell
us who is turning a year older? And I will
try tryan guess the ages against myself.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Yes she is.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I'm by myself.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
You will compete against yourself Courtney versus Quarto.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
James McAvoy from X Men, he was in Split.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I don't know who this is, so he's fifty.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Forty seven, forty seven, so close. Robert Smith from the
Cure eighties, Banned.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Eighties band, Okay, thank You, sixty five sixty seven.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Andy McDowell from Four Weddings and a Funeral Love Her.
She was in Groundhog Day.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
She is.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Dialing it all a bit to.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Sixty four Dowel, but no sixty eight actually. And finally,
we still don't know who the boss is, but he
was on that show. Tony Danza, I think he was
the boss. I think it was Mona, the mother in
law or the mom.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Mona was like my spirit animal, the grandmammy. Yeah, Tony
Danza is seventy three.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Seventy five.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Or Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
You're on with Courtney Lopez. A quick reminder about our

then you are on with Mario. No, he's not here.
It is just Courtney Lopez. Mario is alt today. So
it's just me and Fray making a quick quick stop
in the Cordos corner for some fresh It's fresh, I

(06:05):
tell you organic. What are we talking about? Frasier?

Speaker 3 (06:09):
I would not be doing what sounded like the beginning
of an Irish accent like you did, but cleaning like
Martha Stewart the icon that she is. If you go
all out to clean your house on a regular basis.
There are some tasks that you can relax about. Martha
Stewart dot com ask cleaning pros what chores can be
done once a Year's you want to do this once
every three hundred and sixty five days and the list

(06:30):
includes washing curtains and drapes, exterior window cleaning, and professional
carpet cleaning. There are two chores not to forget about.
They actually help prevent fires. Cleaning beneath large appliances and
making sure your dryer event is clear and not stopped
up with lint.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
You know, people forget the dryer lint is legit. Yes,
that is very very important. You know what else? I
do the our windows once a year. I don't, but
our windows are done once a year, and also our
shandily whenever I'm doing the Christmas trees, because I love decorating,
I will dust the chandeliers when I'm up there.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
You're already on the ladder because it's pretty high.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
So I do that once a year. The other days
it's gonna be dusty. So don't look at my chandeliers.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I'm gonna look at them next time.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I go look at the man. December is that dust.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Hey, it's Courtney Lopez here. Mario is out. But the
party must go on, even if it's without booze. You people,
b yob. I have my own bottle here, but it
has a shake in it.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Yeah, that's not booze.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
That's not booze. Well it's not sure if you know
or not. But April is alcohol Awareness month and experts
say mocktails could be a good replacement if you're looking
to cut back on alcohol consumption. What are the new
popular ones?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
This? Yeah, Frasier Cava Haven is supposed to put you
in a relaxed, happy state for late night. There's three
spirit nightcap is made with a sleepy time tea, so
you'll fall asleep. Do you even need You wouldn't even
need that, You just fall asleep on que right, yeah? Uh?
And bond booze will have you ready to dance or
ming ale to party. Don't bring me If you're going

(08:11):
to go clubbing, then maybe that is what you need.
It's important to pay attention to the ingredients, as mocktails
can still include additives like caffeine, sugar, and artificial sweeteners.
One that keep you up yeah, I think so. So
I don't think you. I don't think you'd want to
have this at night if it's got all that stuff
in it. But if it has syrup, it could be
replaced with actual juice.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah, I'll just stick with wine. You're on with Mario
and Courtney Lopez quickly saying congrats again to all of
our five thousand dollars winners and ihearts Thank a Teacher,
all powered by donor Shoes. By the way, there's still
time for you to nominate a public school teacher making
a difference, and now Donor Shoes will match up to
one hundred and fifty thousand dollars and listener donations. That's awesome.

(08:53):

say thank you to the educator shaping our future and

your favorite teacher now at on with Mario dot Com
slash teachers. So are you planning a big summer getaway?

(09:15):
It's Courtney Lopez here and Google is giving us an
idea of where everyone will be traveling this summer, so
you can either go there or stay away. Where are they?

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Frasier Saint Martin, the Dutch Caribbean island is the top
training international destination based on Google flight searches. Here in
the US, though, Kansas City, Missouri, oh number one for
some reason, followed by Sarasota, Florida, Asheville, North Carolina, Dallas, Texas,
and rounding out the top five Fort Myers, Florida.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
What is in Kansas City barbecue?

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Like I need to know?

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Or Mario Lopez connect.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Hey, you're on with Courtney Lopez and listen, no secret.
We all love our pets a little bit, probably in
an unhealthy way, but that's okay. But it turns out
it's never been more expensive to be a pet parent, okay,
according to the new research that reveals just how much
it's costing people. Just food and treats are often over
one hundred dollars a month. Okay. But they found that

(10:12):
when you add up all the routine expenses for a
dog or cat, it averages about forty two hundred dollars
a year. Now that covers everything from food to vet visits.
And grooming. But it adds up to more than fifty
thousand dollars over a twelve year lifespan. What dog is this?
Because I would welcome this dog in a heartbeat.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
I feel like, by the way, I have a dog
who's thirteen currently. I also have a dog who's ten currently,
and I have a dog who's four. So I've spent
I think the one that thirteen, the one that's thirteen,
I've definitely spent more than fifty thousand dollars. Yeah, that
in that period of time easily.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Yeah, Hey, you're on with Courtney Lopez. Still so much
to get to. We're going to dig into our mentions
later this hour to see what's on your mind. Plus

(11:09):
we're going to take a look at the buzz to
see what is trending in a bit as well. In
the meantime, more music and a surprising travel trend to
break down.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Next.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Oh, card, it's Courtney Lopez here. Mario's out today. I
don't know why I said, okay like that. It's just
me and Frasier. I don't know why he's hist I.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Don't know why she said that either.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
You know, earlier we were talking about the top summer
travel destinations. While I saw this and I thought it
was an interesting travel trend For a growing number of
gen Z travelers, vacation doesn't mean partying NonStop, it's waking
up without a hangover. Sober tourism is on the rise,
and gen Zers are doing drinking less overall and are

(11:49):
more open to vacations built around mocktail spas, fitness classes,
and general sight seeing instead of bar crawls or cocktails by.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
The pool nerds.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
So they basically I want to remember.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yeah, they want to remember the trip.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
So saving money, protecting mental and physical health, and feeling
fully present all rank high as motivations for booze free vacations.
The travel industry is paying attention to adding more alcohol
free drink menus and wellness programming. Taylor to gen Z travelers,
You know I can relate to this like I I.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Think, because we've hit middle age and we also want
that we exactly we want to wake up with no hangover,
like we've done it enough.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
I wake up with a hangover without even drinking.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Sometimes I feel like I do too right more Mario
Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (12:38):

for school tomorrow just as you put them to bed.
So check out these responses their kids wanted their great

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Yeah. At bedtime, their son said, by the way, I
have to go to school dressed as Winston Churchill tomorrow. Okay, okay,
kid got an outfit in. Others said their kids asked
for a costume that looks like an ear of corn. Huh,
a cow outfit the night before the school play, and
a science experiment on how many rubber bands does it

but not before we squeeze in one last thing. If
your dream wedding includes ghosts at a five twenty am
wake up call. Disneyland's Haunting Mansion is now offering a
seriously spooky ceremony, but the scariest part might be the
forty dollars price tag. The gothic themed package is super exclusive,

(17:05):
capped to just twenty five guests, lasts about an hour,
and comes with basic perks like an efficient light decor
and photos, though the price can quickly creep higher with
add ons. By the way, the ceremony happens on the
mansion steps before the park even opens. So are you
not even in the Haunted Mansion?

Speaker 3 (17:23):
I think you're out. You're on the steps of the
Haunted Mansion.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Like, yeah, what are you paying forty thousand scholars for
to be there?

Speaker 3 (17:30):
I guess? Also, twenty five guests, that's an odd number,
Like it's kind of weird, but yeah, it's uh, I mean,
I guess they're going to be people that do this.
What are the other add ons that you can get?

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Can you have one of the Haunted Mansion?

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Can a ghost show up?

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:45):
I want to know. And you only have that hour
because they want you out before the park opens.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Yeah, you don't get to spend the day in the park.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Please, if you ever have a wedding. I love the
Haunted Mansion. It's my favorite ride. But if you ever
have a wedding, their donna bite means too early.
