we were just a few songs away from another pop
culture pop quiz. What's the theme this time? Fraser?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
It's throwback themed. We're doing nineties pop culture trivia.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Oh snap, all right, I'm back to battle it out

pop quiz.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
You're all with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Today's quiz throwback themed answering nineties trivia. So let's waste
no time to get our hands on the buzzers.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
What's up? All right? Here we go?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
What?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Nineteen ninety seven in sixty four video game, widely cited
as one of the greatest of all time, features James
bond Up against a criminal syndicate and is named after
the nineteen ninety five film.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
In the recording, Indiana Jones.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Incorrect, Indiana Jones, it's a whole other franchise.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Of You to a Kill?

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Incorrect GoldenEye, Oh, GoldenEye, take a shot. Oh okay, alright, zero,
Here we go, hands on buzzers. Just down the street
from Monica's apartment, Central Perk was a fictional coffee shop
Mario Friends.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Correct, there was, but it was going to get to
what is the show?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
So it is one to zero. Here we go. In
the nineteen nineties, what illness, previously thought to be confined
to cattle, was found to have been expanded to impact livestock,
other animals, and even humans. Courtney Salmonila incorrect. Mad cow disease,

(04:38):
Mad cow disease. Now mad cow disease is correct. But
I cannot give you a point because you get help
from your friends. Who's sleeping on? That was? That was
not that shady? And Corney said it right before you too,
so she kind of gave it to you as well.
All right, So no point. So it's one to zero
and you both get a prop which cancels each other
out to no props. So one to zero. One more

(04:59):
in this round. Here we go Julie White or famously
huge Glasses playing Steve Erkele on what long running? Mario
hamily matters. That is correct, two to zero. We'll take
a break, crime, come back and do some more.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here throwback theme
answering nineties trivia. Score is two to one. I'm winning.
One question. No, we cancel each other out with props.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Corney never got a point. It's two to zero.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
I think no, pardon me, it's two to zero. I
am winning.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I'm just trying to be accurate here. One question. Let's
get our hands all right. Here we go one question
in this round, hands on buzzers. What fitness program is
said to have originated in the nineteen nineties, when Colombian
aerobics teacher Alberto Perez subbed salsa for his normal workout
class music. Zuba. Correct, that's great, that's insane.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
I'm actually thinking time over zoom. I was thinking of
the thing.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I'm shocked you got that, but it's uh yea was
on my mind too. It's three to zero. We're gona
play some music and back and to do another. You're
just an a. You're sick of it right now, kisser.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Round three of Today's pop culture Pop Quiz Mario Cordo
Lopez here throwback scores three to zero. I'm in the lead.
One question this round. Let's get our hands in the buzzers.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
After the breakup of Nirvana in nineteen ninety four, Dave
Grohl went on foo fighters correct, not even having that
was like the braves chant from the Atlanta Braves the
Tomahawk Shop. Didn't even have to finish the question. It
is for to zero.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I had to throw back dream the other night.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Oh, I want to hear about that later. Four to zero.
We're gonna play some music and back and wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Final round Today's throwback pop Quizer Onmorrow, Courtney Lopez answering
trivia questions about the nineties of score is four to zero.
I am just sweep.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
You really are all right, Razer. Let's wrap it up
here we go. What were the names of the two
rappers who were the focal points of the East Coast
West Coast hip hop rivalry Ario.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Tupac Shakur and then Notri's Big.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
That is correct? Five, It's a zero. Can't you see,
sur I feel like the Dodgers right now. Let's go
set in Detroit. What nineteen nineties sitcom featured real life
identical twins, Tia and Tamara? Is it Tamara?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
That was Tamara?

Speaker 3 (07:40):
It was Courtney? It is Corney, sister, sister. That is correct? Good,
very good. It is five to one. There is one
question left. This one is worth ninety points. If you
were a kid in the nineties, when you weren't looking
for Waldo in the pages of a book, you might
have wondered, where in the world a certain trench?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Oh, I know, I know, where in the world is
common San Diego, Tony Ways.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Moor, Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
What'd you find for us to celebrate today?

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Annie Nichols World UFO Day, Congratulations, only a day for you.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
They don't call them UFOs anymore. Remember there was a
UAPs now UAPs now that unidentified arial aerial phenomenon. Yes, wow, UAP.
So this is for the old school UFO brigade.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
And let's not forget the government basically said, we don't
know what they are. They're in our skies.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Good luck.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
There we go, ya.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Mario Courtney Lopez celebrating Throwback Thursday. We're gonna take it
back nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
That's when the.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
World was first getting to know Christina Aguilar Gene in
a bottle. Yeah, she came out strong with that one
Pittsburgh's finest. Oh really Yeah, she was from Pittsburgh.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Shouldn't you say Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
I'm from Pittsburgh too. You're saying she's finest, second finest. Yes,
and Pearl Jam had the biggest hit of their career.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
She's gone. God Last Kiss Remake is their biggest hit
of their career, not even Flow or Jeremy. That's surprising.
I would have lost a bet.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
And Destiny's Child had their first number one hit.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
You know.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Bills bills, bills by Destiny's Child. I can't I can't
remember the lyrics. Are they asking this dude to pay
their bills? Are they mad because he hasn't paid their bills?

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Complaining about their own bills?

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Yeah, because that's a that's uh No.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
I think they're saying I can pay my own okay,
because that's a stronger message. Or he doesn't pay his bills.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Through maybe he doesn't pay.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
He's he's there leaching, he's leaching off of.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
That's got to be a women, because she can't be
They can't be complaining about why aren't you paying my bills?
Because that wouldn't a good look.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
We're going on this, yeah, or Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez here and let's put a
spotlight on my wife and get to Courtney's random thought.
What do you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Well, if practice makes perfect but nobody is perfect, why practice?

Speaker 1 (11:16):
This is why I like the saying my coach used
to say. Perfect practice makes perfect. You've got to practice
perfectly to an order to execute perfectly.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
But nobody's perfect.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
No individual is. But a feet can be perfect. Like
people have scored a perfect bowling game. Yeah they've scored,
you know what I mean. You've had perfect darts and
billiards and stuff like that. So you can have a
perfect feet, but no individual is perfect. So that's what
he would say, perfect practice.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
You know who's perfect?

Speaker 1 (11:44):
You? Ah?

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Yeah, I know. Mario Lopez here getting close to the
end of our radio fund.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Just one last thing to get to plus probably enough
time to play a request or two before I get
out of here. So if you've got a song you
want to hear, hit me up at all and Mario
on X y'amark Courtney love Pez squeezing in one last
thing before we get out of.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
Here for the night.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
So Wahlberg, honey, face timy you know he loves face time.
And I had my glasses on it. And he was
kind of giving me a hard time that I use
reading glasses, and I'm like, dude, we're the same age,
you're actually older than me.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Don't you use them?

Speaker 1 (12:19):
He goes I used to, but I trained my eyes
to get stronger, and I said, get at her, he goes.
Bro This doctor said, your eyes are a muscle, just
like the rest of your body. If you don't use it,
an eletrophy, but you could build it back up if
you train it. And I'm like, are you serious, Like, yeah,
I don't use them anymore to read scripts. And on
the heels of this conversation, my buddy Davy Daves said

(12:40):
I don't use them anymore either. I trained my eyes,
like well what? And then Totty, my other buddy, said,
my uncle did the same thing. And then Terry was
just overhearing the conversation and she chimed in with Paul
McCartney did the same.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Thing, right, so you know a bunch of liars.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
Well that's what I'm thinking, I said, is everybody trolling me?

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Messing with me? Right now?

Speaker 1 (12:56):
The hold in common? Hold on a second. And then
I was at peet this morning physical therapy with McGinnis,
My guy I trusted individual, and I ran it by him.
I said, I want you take He goes, there's actually
some truth to that, because that's why, and he used
the same analogy my other friend, Kim, did you put
a patch over your eyes and you can train one
that is weaker to get as strong as the other one,

(13:17):
He goes. It depends though, on the severity of your eyesight,
and if you're near sighted faresighted, so there is some
there is some circumstances. So but bottom line, Wahlberg, I
think was right.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
I've done some research. It will not solve near sightedness
or far sightedness. It will help with eyestrain, and you
have eyestrained, but it doesn't help your actual vision. It
helps prevent you from trying to basically hurting your eyes
by trying to art, but your vision is still messed
up already. It's not going to correct that. But go
ahead and try do your eye workouts.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Notice all men said that.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
No, Terry's a woman.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
No Terry said Paul McCartney did it.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
I'm going to give it a shot. I say that,
but now you're going to be a pirate. Here's the
thing about glasses. I feel I look distinguished, you do
look sexy or Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Next, that's it. Thanks for hanging with us on Mario dot.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Com to relive all our radio fun. Back to do
it again tomorrow. Maybe maybe quarter will be here. Yeah,
let's relive it. Can't wait until then.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
