Baby was born via surrogate. On January eighteenth.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
A couple announced the happy news on IG, expressing immense
gratitude to their superwoman surrogate and the medical team who
made the She described it necessary choice to use surrogacy
for the safest expansion of their family. Oh all right,

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Get the Sarah get too. She's like, I am not
messing up my body.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
This is on with Mario Lopez, powered by vix breathe
in fixed soothing and comforting non medicated vapors with fixed Vapo.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Stick and hang on, more fun coming up.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
So what do you do when you're not on your phone?
You're all Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Well, half of Americans are reportedly spending less time looking
at screens, and that seems to me making them happier.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yes, that's good to hear.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
New survey says that gen Z is actually leading the
charge when it comes to unplugging as far as what
they're doing with their newfound free time. Everything from writing letters,
calling friends, hosting game nights, clicking and baking, get this, drawing,
knitting and crocheg How.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Are you calling your friends if you put your phone down?
Old school landline? All right, I like what gen Z's about.
I like that.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
I heard the liquor industry lost something like twenty billion
dollars this year because they're not.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
Just you know, the younger generations, like alcohol is not
a thing for them, really not a.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Thing, not a thing. Well, it is expensive, all right,
Corno going to try to make thing.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Mario Courtney Lopez here, it's time for a Cordo's random thought.

Speaker 7 (07:03):
What you got?

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Do you think people buy cars based on their name?
Like Honda? If my name was Ronda, would I buy
it and just put like a magnetic R in the front?
Or we know somebody named Rovner. Should they buy a
range Rover and just put an N?

Speaker 2 (07:24):
We also know a Corolla? He Buyota?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Right?

Speaker 4 (07:30):
I was Maza? Should I buy a Mazda.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Baby you can get it? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (07:34):
But I wonder that because when I seen it. Like
my cousin has a daughter named Sienna. When she grows up,
is she going to get the Sienna soccer mom?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Then she has to.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
I think there's select names where you can have some
fun with that. There's a few other people that are
popping in my head that it could work.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
They're usually the I don't want to say lower end models, but.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
They're not the I do know, like economy car. I
do know the Mercedes. And I remember growing up I
knew a Porsche.

Speaker 8 (08:02):
I knew, I knew, I do know. I do know
a kids. As kids, there was a lot of Mercedes.
It's actually a popular name in Spanish. Said this, but
I knew a Porsche when I was uh al must
have been twelve thirteen in school.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Her name was Portia.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
And I know, uh Lexus not Alexis just but I
wonder that's what triggered itd I go. I wonder if
Rohnda ever buys a Honda. That's what I said to
myself myself in the car as.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Go loves happy Honda days. I know an idiot that
named his son Ferrari too Amrio, Courtney Lopez and quite
the honor.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Our dear friend honey, Bob Bafford, who is the renowned
horse trainer. I think he's synonymous with horse training. He's
sort of the Bill Belichick of the sport, if you will.
Such a nice guy, him and his lovely wife Jill.
He just sent me the coolest text, and I just
wanted to share it with everyone. He said, Mario named
horse after you, Gray horse.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Good one. Won't be here till may just like that
and then show the points.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
I know it.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Love does not mince words. And it is a gray
or Roman cult. I believe it's pronounced. And he sent
me a picture. I said, wait, this is awesome. I'm
gonna talk about it. Was there build up to this?
Did you just like out of nowhere?

Speaker 5 (09:22):
It's like, you know, just kind of text and you go, okay,
I have a horse named after me, and I have
a horse.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Can I tease him?

Speaker 3 (09:26):
I was going to just tease him, hoping and praying
that one day he might name a horse after me.
So I guess that energy per me He manifested it.
I manifested it, and it permeated across the street. And
he now has a horse named after me. And can
you imagine if this horse starts.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Winning better be a fast horse. Honey Lopez, We're there,
We are there.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Do we bet on ourselves? I think you got to
be Yeah, We're going in all in, Bob, all in,
Bob On Lopez, Thank you, my friend.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
What an honor With Mari Lopez, the fun rolls on
next thanks to vix Trust Fix Vapo stick for comforting
non medicated vix vapors to soothe their little one. Fixed
trusted my parents for over one hundred and thirty years.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I'm Marik Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Now I'm not sure if you saw this or not,
but nominees for this year is iHeart Podcast Awards are
officially out. Nominees to the twenty twenty six podcasts of
the Year include Good Hang with Amy Poehler, The Breakfast
Club with My Man, Charlottmagne, The God Mel Robbins Podcast,

The twenty twenty six I Heeard Podcast Awards will take
place March sixteenth in Austin, Texas, and the winner of
the top award will be determined by your votes at
On with Mario dot Com Slash Podcast Awards.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
So does your energy start to drag? Early afternoon. Well
you're not alone, Mario, Courtney Lopez. Here, a new survey
found that the average time that most people experience at
midday slump is about two oh six pm, right around
the time I shoot my show Access. It's called the
Circadian dip. Experts also broke down what people would do

(11:05):
if they had more energy. Top response spending more time
with friends or family, followed by exercise and taking care
of their home.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Actually, this is very real. I do experience a little
bit of a dip. But I think that also coincides
with you just had lunch, and if you have a
big lunch, you want to take a MEMI.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
That's why I'm all about these cultures outside of the
US where they incorporate naps. Ci Esta's, Japan, Mexico, they
incorporate these naps. I am a new man. If I'm
able to get a twenty to thirty minute nap, I
mean just a whole new man.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
It is amazing how much it does make a difference.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
It really does a whole new man.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Yeah, so everyonemar on Courtney Lopez. So last week, Share
the Icon Share was on Dak Shepherd's podcast and it
went viral that she straight out told him and in
front of his wife, Kristen Bell, that she doesn't know

(12:03):
what she sees in him. He must have something that
she doesn't see and she could do much better.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
And she was serious, and I was like, whoa.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
And you know, when you ask someone in their opinion,
you got to be careful because they're going to give
you an honest answer. And I think you get to
a certain age and especially when you're an icon like Shared,
they don't pull any punches.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
They're going to tell you how it is.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
And I happen to run into Dak's on the red
carpet at Think Golden Globes and I asked him and
he was like upset about affected him. It was like
he was like, bother because like everybody's kind of giving
him a hard time. So maybe it's struck a nerve
right there, but you got to be careful. He was like, well, people,
it was taken out of a you know, a context,
and yeah, you got people couldn't tell it was a
jest and this, and he was starting to get himself

(12:45):
like WHOA.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Taken out of context?

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (12:46):
I was like, I did pretty che you asked a question.
She pretty much answered it. I just thought that was
so funny. I love share.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yo, Mark Corton Lopez.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Only a few weeks into the new year, and we
may already have a candidate for word of the Year.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Choppel Ganger.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
That term is a mashup of chop, which the kids
use as slang for ugly.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Adults use it too, let's beak well.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
I guess now yeah, and doppelganger, which is a person
who looks like here, So it's not a compliment. A
choppel ganger is it look like who's basically you but
slightly worse cold as I started back in May, when
someone misread dopelganger as choppelganger in a TikTok caption, it
went viral and soon all kinds of social media posts
are using the term mocking their friends and bosses. I

(13:32):
kind of like it. You have a doppelganger, but that
he's chopped. You got a choppel ganger.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
It's actually pretty clever, it is. It's a clever ganger.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Mario Lopez here getting close to the end of our
radio fund. Just one last thing to get to, plus
probably enough time to play a request or two before
I get out of here. So if you got a
song you want to hear, hit me up at all
and Mario on X so row Mario Lopezi for one
last thing we lost.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Products like ozempic will reportedly save airlines up to five
hundred and eighty million dollars in fuel costs just this year.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
That is a bizarre fun fact. You know, say what
you will.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
About ozempic, but clearly it works to help people lose weight.
That is that is a fact. We can't deny that.
We don't obviously know the long term effects because it's
been here only for a.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Little bit, but you number one, lose weight. Number two.
It's obviously helping with diabetes. Evidently, it also helps.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
With addiction if you really yes, if you are are
an avid smoker or drugs or any kind of narcotic,
it helps to curb and completely cut down. Really yes,
and now it's even helping save fuel. There's so many
positive effects. You know, it's been it's been pretty positive.
I know people always sort of skeptical, but there's a
lot of marks on the plus side.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
Well, yeah, head drugs, Like when you see ads and
stuff for this, they always talk about the side effects.
But you never see lower airplane costs. No, that's you
never see that. And hear something else.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Medical cost and insurance are going to go down because
a lot of the medical issues come from the comorbidities
and soft comorbidities. And now that that's going down, that's
bringing all those costs downs. So I'm telling you it's
really a game changer.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
All right, that's it. Thanks to you as always for
hanging out with us.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
If you missed anything or just want to relive some
of our radio fund hit up on with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Back at it again tomorrow. Until then, this is Mario
and Courtney Lopez saying good night, Irene Wow with Mario Lopez.
