A sixteen year old California State Parks lifeguard identified by
his mother only as writer. He rescued a ten year
old boy that had been knocked down by some powerful waves.
The boy was swept about fifteen yards offshore in a
heavy eight to ten foot surf caused by a distant
storm swell. Rider immediately ran into the pounding shore break,
locked onto the exhausted child and held on while repeatedly

ducking on a crashing waves. And these waves were crazy.
A second life guard in some bystanders helped finish the rescue.
The boy was unharmed, checked by paramedics, reunited with his family,
but dramatic video went viral. You can watch this kid
just get hummeled by waves, but he never lets go

A sixteen year old California State Parks lifeguard identified by
his mother only as writer. He rescued a ten year
old boy that had been knocked down by some powerful waves.
The boy was swept about fifteen yards offshore in a
heavy eight to ten foot surf caused by a distant
storm swell. Rider immediately ran into the pounding shore break,
locked onto the exhausted child and held on while repeatedly

ducking on a crashing waves. And these waves were crazy.
A second life guard in some bystanders helped finish the rescue.
The boy was unharmed, checked by paramedics, reunited with his family,
but dramatic video went viral. You can watch this kid
just get hummeled by waves, but he never lets go
of this other kid.
