Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Here are some quick health buzz for you and news
we can get behind. Science says taking a nap can
boost your day. Yes, I've been saying this for years. However,
there's an optimal way to do it if you want
to sharpen your brain function. Experts say the perfect nap
is twenty to thirty minutes in the early afternoon. I
completely agree with this. If I'm able to have twenty
(00:55):
to thirty minutes right after lunch. Let's say, because you
get a little full, you're starting to kind of slow
it down. It is a recharge, is a reboost.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
And that's all you need, is yeah, thirty.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
As I get older, which I'm still not that old,
I have to do this and I don't feel guilty
doing it. I listen to my body and it helps
me be more productive, and you know.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
It really does.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
But as a professional napper, let me just make the suggestion.
Set an alarm. Don't try to freestyle it because next
thing you'll know, you'll be sleeping for like hours.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I do that a lot.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
I do that a lot. I set the alarm, but
I snooze.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
Or Mario Lopez coming up o Mario Courtney Lopez keeping
the music coming your way.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
As Cordo quickly breaks down what's new on TV and streaming.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Netflix begins streaming the first season of Take That, charting
the band's journey from their early beginnings in Manchester to
global pop stardom. All Right, Disney Plus is premiering their
new series wonder Man, an eight episode Marvel Spotlight series

ionic superpowers who lands a leading role in a wonder
(02:07):
Man movie.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
I am in this show what I am in the
very first episode? I believe I do a couple episodes.
I play myself. Of course, a lot of people called
me or texted me over the weekend because they saw
me in wonder Man.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
I can't believe you're a wonder Man. A lot of
these big Marvel guys I forget. I like, say yes
to stuff, and then I forget, when.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
Do you do all of this? Who am I married to?
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Because I that's even What else do you do that
I'm not aware of?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
So Simon Williams, he plays his actor and he makes
it big in this one movie and he comes out
on Access Hollywood, and so I report about him.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Wow, okay, you're playing yourself.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I'm playing myself and uh yeah, apparently I come out
a lot in the show.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
So are we gonna it's not on the Nightstand? Are
we gonna watch it?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
I'm gonna put it on the Nightstanding? All right?
Speaker 4 (02:49):

Speaker 4 (03:21):
So last week we talked a little about the January reset, right,
and how I stopped by Macy's and picked up a
few things just to refresh the living room after taking
down the holiday decor. It's nice to change, you know,
just change some pillows, put some new throws there. But
I also mentioned I picked up some new denim for
the kids because they're growing like weeds. It's cold in
the morning, warmer by the afternoon, and who knows by
(03:43):
the time the sun goes down. It's basically that in
between season mm hmm. So it's all about layering. You
have to have everything, and that's why Macy's is so great.
You can pick up all the in between season accessories
that you need. But they've got so many fresh denim
styles that make every day out if it's feel new again.
As our son says, drip drip, drip.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
He's looking drippy.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
Where to work looks and fresh shades of blue g

No, he likes to be naked.
Speaker 7 (04:23):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
I remember having Carl Lagerfeld cologne in.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
My early twenties. It's so funny. That's such a throwback
right there.
Speaker 1 (04:31):

personality to everyday winter looks boys and girls, and just

Hi, nice to see it, nice to meet you.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Actually, well so cause you asked me if I watched it,
and I said no, I never like to lie. I
do not watch because I don't know how many franchises
there are.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
Now.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
I know there's Orange County.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
There's Beverly Hills, there's Jersey, there's Atlanta homic there's Atlanta.
They're like in Dubai, in Salt Lake City, London, London.
So you know, with all due respect.
Speaker 7 (05:54):
No no shame there. I didn't watch it either. I
didn't watch it in the Housewives before I agreed.
Speaker 5 (05:59):
To do it.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
Oh, you did watch it before you do it.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
I'm just laughing because like I was, just like, I'm
in Jared's office, look at the Harley Davis.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and you're.
Speaker 8 (06:06):
Like, who's Jared? And I thought you're kidding? Like we
had a good context.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Now, Jared, now I know I learned Jared, you're on
and off again boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Evidently you're on at the moment.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
Where without someone saying, are you and Jared still together?
Speaker 8 (06:20):
So that's why I thought you were kidding.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
No, so are you and Jared still together?
Speaker 8 (06:24):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Okay, you're together at the moment.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Nice, Well, you guys have six seasons under your belt.
It's wrapping up. Reunion episodes are airing right now. Those
are always pretty intense. It feels like it's an interrogation.
How did it go for you?
Speaker 1 (06:38):
What?
Speaker 8 (06:39):
Not that well?
Speaker 1 (06:40):
For me?
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Really?
Speaker 7 (06:41):
Why this last Tuesday, this last part two episode was
pretty rough. I threw a big watch party and think
Kevin's I did because it kind of distracted from the
pain of it all. We were eating tacos on Taco Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
And appropriate shedding.
Speaker 8 (06:57):
There may have been a tear shed or two for me.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Got it all right? Well, lots more to talk about,
so hang time.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
More Brittany from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
coming up after a quick break.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez getting.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
To know Brittany Bateman from the Royal Housewives of Salt
Lake City.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
This hour. Mario Lopez here and Brittany.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
One of the I guess storylines you would call it
in the specials is you have issues? I think is
a fair word with Meredith mars what's going on there?
Speaker 7 (07:26):
Yeah, well on this last episode she calls me a bigot?
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Oh why did she call you that?
Speaker 8 (07:33):
To deflect from her own behavior of buoying me? M plaine.
So really it was a stretch. It was hard. I
literally lost.
Speaker 7 (07:42):
My ever loving minds And that's not something that's not
something you like throw out there, and it's completely unfounded.
Speaker 8 (07:52):
I've never even thought a negative thought about.
Speaker 7 (07:57):
A race of people, a group of people hate someone
for no reason ever in my life. I Mean, she
was asked a question and that's what she just used
as a diversion tactic. And I'm really really upset by.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
It, were you ever cool or it's always been pretty icy.
Speaker 8 (08:12):
We know we were really cool.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Oh you were really cool, really good friends at some point.
Speaker 7 (08:16):
Yeah, it literally flipped on the dime because there was
an alleged moment where I was, allegedly, according to people,
filming the group on a selfie video in a sprinter
van where all amazing things happen in the sprinter van,
(08:36):
and she literally flipped like that and said, You're a vile,
You're disgusting, you're despicable person.
Speaker 8 (08:44):
Like all this stuff. And I'm like, I'm.
Speaker 7 (08:46):
Just trying to send a selfie to my daughter who
got one hundred percent of her mouth.
Speaker 8 (08:49):
Does just like that.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
She thought you were being shady, yeah and.
Speaker 8 (08:55):
Even and yeah. So yeah, because of that, it's been
all down from there.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Oh, it's too bad.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Hopefully since you guys were friends, you'll be able to
squash it and move on.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Well, I guess it remains to be seen.
Speaker 8 (09:07):
I yeah, I've tried many, many times.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
All Right, a few more songs and we'll come back
with some more. Brittany from the Real Housewives of Salt
Lake City al Maria Lopez Brittany Bateman from the Real
Housewives of Salt Lake City on Zoom with us, and
I'm just curious, Brittany, you ever cross paths with the
Secret Lives of Mormon Wise.
Speaker 7 (09:25):
Yes, those girls are so good and I'm on the
last season, episode two right now.
Speaker 8 (09:31):
I'm kind of behind. It's a good show. It's a
really good show. And this is jay z styles hair.
This is Jesse's hair.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Oh okay, she did my hair.
Speaker 8 (09:42):
For two years and now go to Angie Angie k
on my show.
Speaker 7 (09:48):
Okay, but yeah, before that, it's two years of Secret
Lives of Mormon wives hair.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (09:54):
These are what they call Utah girls.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Okay, yeah, I was not familiar with that. All right now,
I'm no.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Rabbing up with Britney Babman from the Real House size
of Salt Lake City or all Mario Lopez and Brittany,
I hear you're quite the singer.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
What kind of music do you like to sing? Ah?
Speaker 8 (10:10):
I like everything.
Speaker 7 (10:11):
I really like Top forty, I really like everything on
the radio. I'm a Broadway girl. So I graduated in
musical theater. Well, I started out going to college as
an English major, and then I switched to math, and
then I switched to engineering, and then I graduated in
musical theater.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Go figure, that's a that's a quite totally honey.
Speaker 7 (10:31):
Yeah yeah, brain brain Yeah, I guess I'm brain amadextros.
But yeah, so I'm a Broadway girl. And then I
owned a band for ten.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Years and just what do you mean you owned a band?
How does one own a band?
Speaker 7 (10:48):
While I had a business partner, he was the bass player,
I was the lead singer, and we just decided to
have a corporate party slash destination wedding band. So we
hire ourselves out for celebrity weddings all over the world.
Speaker 8 (11:02):
Like if someone wants to get married.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
In Peru, would you call yourself in Portugal? And got it?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Why?
Speaker 8 (11:09):
Whatever? A band to fly out?
Speaker 2 (11:12):
And I got it?
Speaker 7 (11:13):
And same with corporations like eBay and Microsoft and stuff.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
What was the name of the bed.
Speaker 7 (11:20):
Groove merchants, Groove merchants and merchants of groove.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Merchants of groove. I get it. I get it. Brittany nice? Yeah, okay, Oh,
are we going to see the groove merchants on the show?
Speaker 1 (11:32):
No.
Speaker 7 (11:32):
I sold my shares in twenty nineteen. I just got
so busy with real estate. I didn't have time and
I was spending more time doing real estate deals than
I was touring, and I kept hiring subs and it
just didn't make any sense. So I sold my shares
to my business partner, and then the whole world shut down,
like the whole entertainment industry shut down for COVID, got it,
(11:54):
I like squeaked out. I exited the company right in
the best time time industry crash.
Speaker 8 (12:01):
I'm sure they're but they're doing great.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Okay, Oh they're still they're still surviving.
Speaker 7 (12:06):

It is official Seattle Seahawks take it on the New
England Patriots and Super Bowl sixty on February eighth.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
The Pope streak continues.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Remember we were discussing whenever new Pope is elected, the
Seahawks make it to the Super Bowl, which is fin
Pope Benedict, Pope Francis, and now Pope Leo. Seahawks are
on the Super Bowl every time.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
That is insane. Bad Bunny, who's also a great performer.
He said to make history as the first Latin artist
to headline the halftime show his second appearance, by the way,
as he performed with Jennifer Low Peasant Shakira at Super
Bowl fifty four and twenty twenty.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
Are they Latin, Yes they are, but it's the first
time it's going to be entirely in Spanish.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Ah Got You Green Day will do the opening celebration.
Charlie Pooth sings the national anthem, and Brandy Carlisle sings
America the Beautiful And what will most of us be
doing during the game?

Speaker 3 (14:50):
A chocolate tuxedo remains remains, so we see it anyway,
not just Awards season, also Blue season, unfortunately, and there's
a bad one going around this year. Half a producer
Nichols House went down with it last week and that's
why we teamed up with our amazing friends over at Vicks,
cause their Vapo stick is a game changer, the same
soothing and comforting non medicated Vix vapors you know in trust.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
I grew up with Vix. I think every Mexican kid
grew up with Vix. They call it vaparub.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Yes, she takes it a big old hunk of it,
rubs it on the chest, you put on a sweatshirt
or any sort of warm clothing, you.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Go to bed, and you do feel you do feel better.
My moms to do it too when we were little kids.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Now they've got a stick, a Vix Vapo stick, which
is so much easier, not as messy to use, no
touch application, designed with a solid water technology which goes
on clear and dries quickly. It's a lightweight formula that
glides on smoothly, and it's got a cool feeling still
and uh, it's like all up to date in high tech.
Speaker 7 (15:54):
Now.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
I love it because as apparent, when things are not
messy it's just it really is a game changer, and
it makes life so much easier.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Yeah, because because it would get on your clothes, it
would come off out of the wash, but boy, it
would you'd be smelling that.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah, But then after we put it on our kids
and we have to wash our hands. Now it's just
a stick.
Speaker 6 (16:11):
It is all clear.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Vix trusted by parents for over one hundred and thirty years.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
On with Maria Lopez.
Speaker 5 (16:16):
The fun rolls on next thanks to vix Trust Fix
Vevo stick for comforting non medicated Vix vapors to sue
their little one. Fixed Trusted by parents for over one
hundred and thirty years.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Time for today's lave Birthday is what I want on
Courtney Lopez here, as always, Frayser's going to shout him out.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
We're gonna try to guess the ages. What do we got?
Speaker 6 (16:32):
Nick Carter from the Vaccine Boys.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Oh, guy's got to be forty two, forty eight.
Speaker 6 (16:38):
Forty seven?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Oh wow, Okay.
Speaker 6 (16:40):
Rosamund Pike from Gone Girl.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
Hmm, she's just nominated for something, right.
Speaker 6 (16:45):
I think she was?
Speaker 5 (16:46):
Was she?
Speaker 6 (16:47):
I think I heard her name pop up somewhere.
Speaker 5 (16:50):
She is.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Fifty.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Rosamund Pike is forty four.
Speaker 6 (16:57):
Forty seven, forty Evan Patton Oswald comic.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Every time I hear this name, I think of the
guy that shot someone.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Oh you know who I think of? I think of
Pat from SNL.
Speaker 6 (17:09):
No, he kind of has Pat's body, right, And I
mean I think you're thinking of the yeah, which I
mean I kind of get that.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I was gonna say, you
shot a president.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yeah, Pat, And I'm gonna say is fifty six.
Speaker 6 (17:25):
Fifty eight, fifty seven. Oh, Chris Collinsworth, sportscaster.
Speaker 4 (17:29):

Speaker 6 (17:32):
Probably heard his voice a million times. I probably watching football.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Chris sixty two.
Speaker 6 (17:40):
He's got to be sixty six sixty seven.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
And finally, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts
seventy one, seventy one's correct.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Oh look at that.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
You're all Mark Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Starting to get an early look at some of the
much anticipated Super Bowl commercials, and they are star studded.
We got Benson Boone and Ben Steelller teaming up for Instacart,
William Shatner back for kel Ogg's and Sabrina Carpenter Pickspringle's
potato chips.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Like petals from a flower, saying he loves me. He
loves me, not.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Oh, I like that post Malone. Shane Gillis and Peyton
Manning are also together in a bud Light commercial post
raps while tapping a beat on a beer keg. That's
always fun.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Yeah, he's funny.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Okay, before you used to have to wait till the
actual Super Bowl to see the commercials now.
Speaker 6 (18:30):
And it does.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
At On with Mario on Facebook and next at On

This is from at Teddy Roston. He said, better hope
that horse runs faster than you and the Boston Marathon,
or you might lose your coveted friendship with Bobby Baffort.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Teddy, you're roasting me on this one. I told you
the first Boston Marathon that I ran first marathon ever.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
I was so intimidated to run. I was young too
to run the marathon. I was just like, oh, it's
