Speaker 3 (01:43):
Mario and Courtney Lopez here. It's crazy, but according to
new research, most of us lose over three hundred hours
of sleep per year just to have some alone time.
They're calling it revenge bedtime procrastination. Where we intentionally stay
up late to enjoy personal time, even knowing it's going
to negatively affect our sleep.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Guilty, This is me.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Two thirds of us, including me, say nighttime is the
only time we have for ourselves. Yes, whether it's scrolling
on socials, yes, watching TV, or spending time on a hobby,
you often stay up over an hour longer than usual,
and on average that happens three nights a week. Well,
it happens almost.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Every night for me, and I am guilty.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
It is the only time I really do get to
be alone, So I don't mind it, but it bothers
me because I want to get to bed earlier to
spend time with you. Because you have no problem going
to sleep right away.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
I don't have bedtime procrastination.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
No, if you do not, I do not. She just
has a bedtime, she.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Hits the bed and no.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
In fact, just the other night, we went out to
dinner and it wasn't late for us, but it was
late for us, right, it was like ten.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Thirty later than usually.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, literally got home. I was showered within
fifteen minutes, teeth brush and in bed and he comes
in and he's like, you've already showered and I'm like, yes,
I don't mess around like I want to.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Go to sleep in my is Here's the deal. Yeah,
I eat a lot more than her. I have to
use the restaurant.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
I don't put, I don't go.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
And yet that's the problem.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
She don't. She doesn't use the restroom.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
No one likes to be rushed in there. Take my time.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
That's where you're also doing your scrolling and my.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Personal time exactly. So I'm killing a lot of birds
with that stone. You need to respect that.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Well, yeah, that you, but don't take your phone in
You sit there and scroll through a thousand Filipino singers
that you think are amazing and send them to me.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
They're amazing, car they are amazing a karaoke. But that's
not important.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
You know what I think. I think I found a solution.
The move is I go in the restaurant and then
when I get home, I don't have as money.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
You don't have to go.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
But then she's just chilling by herself. That takes away
time for me.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
That's not cool on you.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
That's called compromise.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Actually in the restroom for forty minutes while I'm sitting
by myself with egg on my face in the restaurant.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
That's not cool.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
First of all, it's a small face, that's right.

So Cordo can tell us what's trending, O, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Here what you got?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Well?

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Rumors that Nikki Bella is casually dating an NFL star.
You can find out who and everything we know about
this young star.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Uh, go ahead, Nikki, there's a I think a twenty
year difference.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
Go ahead, girl right here?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
All right?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Having fun?

Speaker 5 (06:00):
She's coming to share.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
She well, no, she shares as much more as her
share like that's next lefty years of twenty Yes, this.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
One is barely legal, but he is.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Why Miley Cyrus is so cringed out calling Max Moado
her fiance okay, and why Kristen Stewart says she would
love to direct a Twilight remake on with Mario dot
com for all that and.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
More, You're on Mario and Courtney Lopez and maybe twenty
twenty six but twenty sixteen apparently having a moment right
now on social media, probably seen it trending or seeing
a lot of posts from ten years ago with captions
like happy twenty sixteen and wake up it's twenty sixteen.
Psychologists are wayent in saying it comes from stress or anxiety,
those moments when people reach back for something comforting or energizing, interesting.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Really well, many people feel like twenty sixteen had plenty
of those things to reach for. After all, there was
Pokemon go oh well, then the Mannequin Challenge that was fun.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
We did a great one by day, we did probably
the best.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Captain America, the Jungle Book, and fun songs like justin Timberlakes,
can't stop the Feeling and see his cheap Thrills. You know,
I just always feel like we're always going to be going.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
Back in time and back in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
We were probably wanting to go back to twenty ten,
twenty you know, twenty.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
Year minute nature is to be nostalgic.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
I think yes, But I also think society peaked in
the eighties and nineties.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
One hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yes, you're all Mara Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Okay, we've taken a break from documentaries because we were.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
Going hard, back to back hard. There was a lot,
there was a lot, There was a lot.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
We needed to lighten it up. So we threw in
The Landman.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
This series, which was great, yeah, this season, and a
little comedy Tulsa King.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Tulsa King, Yes, is that a comedy? No, but he's
got humor. He's got humorous moments.

Speaker 6 (07:49):
Okay, murdering people every other scene, but he wanted to.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Light there are some jokes, so there there are some jokes,
basically all Taylor Sheridan shows.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
He's killing it on that level.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Anyway, we did that, but now we're back on our
dockbingch and we kicked it off by watching the new
one on Netflix called Evil Influencer, the Jody Hildebrandt story.
I was not familiar with this, and wow, it is do.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
We give spoilers. I mean you gotta give spoilers.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
I think you can give a few. Like I saw
the opening thing and I was hooked.

Speaker 6 (08:24):
Can I ask you something, did you know about this story?

Speaker 4 (08:27):
I did not either, because I knew a lot about
this story previously, so I did not learn a lot
of new things. However, they did show interviews and phone
calls from jail and that kind of stuff, a lot
of footage that I hadn't seen. But my takeaway is

(08:47):
this woman is these people are.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Without giving too much away, this woman essentially created a
cult but sort of used the Mormon Church as a
crutch and almost like a plucking ground and infrastructure to
kind of prey on these people who are going through
troubles or or at their weakest moments.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
But what she got them to do to their own
children is wild.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
I think that's enough of maybe the spoiler teasers, but
it's it's wild, and she and her little friends deserve
everything that was coming to them. Good on the judge,
you're coming down hard.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
Yeah, No, she ruined lives, families. I mean, this woman
is just evil.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Evil.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
For Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Lopez, here was some
quick buzz for you.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Congrats to Stranger Things.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
The serious finalitey of the series is being credited for
helping Netflix reach a new viewership record on New Year's Day.
And if you heard those rumors about a bonus episode
waiting to air, apparently it's just that a rumor. My
daughter explained to me in the kitchen last night, some
conspiracy theory about why the Duffer brothers, about why the

(09:58):
season wasn't as strong. In her arise, one of the
differ brothers had a divorce and the wife was really
writing and needed the wife.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
Where does she get this?

Speaker 2 (10:06):
I don't know what rabbit hole did you go down?

Speaker 5 (10:08):
It's hilarious.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
All right, a few more songs. I'm going to dig
into our mentions.

on ig, what'd you find phrase?

Speaker 5 (10:38):
This is from at Tanner Springs, heard you talking about
New Year's resolutions. Mine is to reintroduce words and phrases
from the past back into societal discourse. So help me out.
What is a word or phrase from back in the
day that you would like to bring back.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Oh, it's funny that I'm hearing this, because there was
another one. I heard something the other day, because there
was something I heard the other day that I wanted
to bring back, and I can't.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
I can't remember. I remember now. I saw an.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Interview with a local mayor in Boston and there was
some controversy, and he called the guy a.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Bum crumb, a white a bum crumb, bum crumb.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Bum crumb.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Beat it get out here. And I love that expression,
a bum crumb.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
Except from like the twenties.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
No, he was like in the seventies. Okay, it was
in the seventies.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
That's a good term, a good one.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
I'm like, wow, that's because you're not just a bum,
but you're a crumb of a bum.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
And bringing that one back to is interesting because most
people don't know it, so it's going to confuse them.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
And well, it obviously sounds negative and you're not cursing,
but I just think it's a gig bum crumb or.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
So are you celebrating or taking part in Damp January?
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here it dry January feels like a
bit much. There's another lane, damp January, which keeps it realistic,
just cutting back instead of cutting it out.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
I like this move.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Fewer drinks but still enjoying that cozy night in without
overdoing it.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Or you could also switch to a non alcoholic choice.
They have a lot that tastes very very delicious. Slip
on a glass of wine with dinner, then.

Speaker 6 (12:08):
Call it quits.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
People notice brighter moods, deeper sleep, and steady energy throughout
the day. In the end.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
You know what it's like anything else, It's all about balance.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
It really is nice.

Betrayal Season 5

Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
