Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are fun with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Whe Here we go, Mario and Cordo Lopez back behind
the mic, fired out to be hanging with you for
the next few hours. A lot of radio fun to
get into, including a quick little musical tribut in the
past with our throwback soundtrack.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Plus we're gonna hook you up with a fresh life
hacker two in Quardo's Corner. Ask a random question and
dig into the buzz to see what is trending. All
that and more, Turn it up. You're on with Mario
and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I'm Mario Courtney Lopez keeping the music and fun coming
your way. Right after Quordo tells us about a few
of the new things on TV and streaming The Hawk.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
It's on Netflix. Will Farrell stars as an aging golf
ledgend chasing one last major while dragging his family into
the chaos.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yes, it reunites Will Ferrell with Molly Shannon from their
SNL and Night at the Roxbury Day So that should
be funny.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Ooh, Descendants Wicked Wonderland on Disney. Plus it's a new
musical teen fantasy where Red and Chloe battle an unexpected
villain during the Kingdom Cup. Games in Wonderland.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
G at one point was into the Descendant.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
She was younger, remember yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
When she was before Santino. Yes, and the Body in
the Locker, it's on Netflix now you know where the
body is. A young woman discovers her late father. Storage
locker holds a woman's corps, unraveling a dark mystery.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
I bet.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Al Mario Lopez is just a few songs away from
Quarto's Corner, where my wife has something fresh and fun
for us.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
What are we talking about today?

Speaker 3 (01:27):
An so fresh and so clean clean some throwback childhood
games that keep the kids busy during summer break.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yes, that is a full time job, all right back
with Quartos Corner and ten dumb y'all Mari and Courtney
Lopez making a quick stop into Quarto's Corner for something fresh.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
What you got well, since it's Throwback Thursday, a fun
list of classic childhood games perfect for keeping the kids
busy during a summer break, you know, for those who
aren't in camps, which is the new thing to do.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yes, and to get them off their tablets for goodness
sake tag.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
And variations like freeze tag or lava tag. We used
to call it release because when you touch the person,
you would release them from the I don't remember, but
one player is it and chases others and freeze tag
tagged kids freeze until unfrozen. That's essentially why we said release.
Great for burning energy, play on grass to avoid scrapes.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I love me some tag. You can play adult tag too.
That's pretty fun.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yeah, but that's also then you're liable to tour tear
something that's true. Red Light green Light Sonny likes this.
One person calls green light to run and red light
to stop. The first to reach the callar wins. Excellent
for listening skills and giggles. I mean, how long can
you play this for?

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Though?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Well, it depends on how far away they are exactly
you're getting like in a park, you play for a while.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Can I FaceTime them? If they're like you could?

Speaker 5 (02:50):
You could start in a different town.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Duck Duck Goose. You guys remember this one.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
The kids sit in a circle. The player taps the
head saying duck until picking goose, who then chases. Simple
and inclusive for younger kids.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Make a big circle as fun.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
And our kids love this. Water balloon toss pairs toss
water balloons back and forth, stepping farther apart from each other, Messy,
refreshing and hilarious when they pop.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Now, I'm all fired up to play these games.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yeah, and water relay races carry cups of water or
spongers across the distance without spilling at obstacles. For more
of a challenge.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
More Mario Lopez. Coming up, Mario.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Courtney Lopez here, keeping the music coming at you as
we let you know, iHeartRadio is hooking you up with
an exclusive interview with the Backstreet Boys. The group talks
about their upcoming Sphere residency, their new single Bottle Up,
and what fans can expect next.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Check out the video now on iHeartRadio's YouTube channel, or
hit up on with Mario dot com for the link
exclusively from iHeartRadio and On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
All right, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here a few more songs.
They'm going to dig into her mentions to see what's
on your mind.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Add on one are you on Facebook?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
And x Adam and Mario Lopez on ig Questions, comments,
random thoughts, whatever you got love hearing from you back
to see what you've sent our way? Coming up next?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
All right, at on with Mario on Facebook and x
ad Alan Mario Lopez on.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Ig love hearing from you, Mario Lopez Here? Who's this
one from?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Honey?

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Well?

Speaker 3 (04:17):
This is from at Erica Schmidt and she says, white,
are you seriously playing mister Fantastic? That's my son's favorite
cartoon and now mine too. I guess, ha ha.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Wink wink, mister Fantastic and are fantastic that's actually boon tastick,
but I wanted to adopt it for mister Fantastic.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yes, Erica, I am playing mister Fantastic on Marvel's Spidery
and Friends.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
It's really cool.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
And I'm excited to show our youngest Santino so I
can point him out. And they did a good job
of kind of making the little younger version look like me,
kind of looks like my son toomonic, but check it
out on Disney Junior Spidey and Friends.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Mister Fantastic or Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Ah Mario Courtney Lopez music rolls on after a quick
look at the buzz.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
This is crazy.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
But exactly one year ago today, Coldplay ruined a couple
marriages with their kiss cam and it became the biggest
thing in the world. Probably my favorite story of the
past year, not for ruining the marriages.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
We came to find out that both well, at.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
Least this is what was The claims are.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
The claims are they were both separated and moving on.
They just happened to be at the same place at
the same time. And I still go on record saying,
had they just reacted normally, everything would have been fine.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
It wouldn't have been a big deal.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
But they panicked, and yeah, as soon as she saw herself,
she went.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Exactly. It was awful.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
Frazer just felt, I have to go to the hospital.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
If they would have just waved their hands and whoo,
they would have moved on quickly and it would have
been nothing.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Happy anniversary, all right, let's get back to the music.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
New trends sweeping the socials. He're all with Mario and
Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
New social media trend as people joking that they can't
wait for the Netflix documentary about random chapters of their lives.
The trend pokes fun at familiar documentary tropes in which
a key interview subject has shown getting ready for an
interview before revealing their side of the story. So now
people are filming themselves in like overly dramatic behind the
scene moments, joking about the doc that's going to expose

(06:15):
their wife or their son, and they have the dundune
from Netflix, and then they have the which camera?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Am I looking at.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
You?

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Ready? Yes? Fixing the microphone exactly. I was going to
do one that.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
I feel we're too late for the trend, but we
might have either Sunny do one or I think.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
Our dog you should haven doing. Having Sunny do it
would be hilarious.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Well, now he has no teeth in the front.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Even better? All right?

Speaker 2 (06:43):
So would you trust a robot to perform surgery on you?
You're on with Mario Courtney Lope as well. Humanoid robots
have officially made medical history by performing live surgeries for
the very first time. Researchers of the University of California,
San Diego, USD pulled off two operations, including a complete
gallbladder removal on large living mammals.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
This is huge.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
The machine's nickname Surgery, stand about five feet tall and
weigh just sixty pounds like me.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Human operators control them remotely using motion capture, foot pedals,
and tracking systems. Researchers say the small size and low
costs mean it could be deployed almost anywhere, from rural
clinics to battlefields to space.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
And we don't need to do surgery and space.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
However, human trials are years away. You know this is incredible.
People say AI is going to take over. Okay, look
it's years away, but I bet you it's closer than
we think when they perform on humans. But think about
these real desolate places or places that don't have doctors
in their towns to travel thirty forty miles, This is amazing.
This can help literally millions of people around the world.

(07:51):
That's pretty incredible.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Does it pack its own bag?

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Packs? Someone monitor it packs itself with.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
More? Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Mario Lopez here music rolls on on a segment.

Speaker 2 (08:02):

with tickets for his role with the Punches tour. You

(08:46):
All right, Jon, Mario Courtney Lopez got some July sixteenth
birthdays to shout out later this hour. Hang on for
those also going to dig into the buzz to see
what's trending.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
In the meantime, we're music and just a few moments
away from a random question.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
That's next.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
All more, Courtney Lopez wasted no time getting right to
a random question.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
What do you got? Honey?

Speaker 2 (09:05):
All right?

Speaker 5 (09:06):
What do you rather?

Speaker 3 (09:07):
It's a question. Have to spend the entire summer at
a perfect beach paradise, but every time you go into
the water a random seagull tries to attack you. Or
spend the entire summer at an epic water park with
unlimited free food and rides, but you must wear socks
and sandals the whole time, no exceptions, even on slides.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
No, I can't be kicking it with socks and sandals.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
I think I'll get sick.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I'm wearing socks in here, and you're not, you're not
enjoying that experience. You can be on point with a
random seagull, because it's a seagull.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
They will jack you up.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
They can jack you up. Yeah, but you just got
to be on point. And it's just one. It was
like a flock of seagulls upun intended.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
Then you have to run really far away.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Yeah, because he has an old joke right there.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
But one I think you might be able to manage.
Just just have like protective gear a flock.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
You're in trouble. I thought the free food would get
you that with socks and sand.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Mario Lopez will be right back, yo, al Mario Courtney Lopez,
quickly shouting out today's toilet birthdays. As always, Fraser's gonna
tell us whos celebrating. We're gonna try to guess the age.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
Who we got.

Speaker 6 (10:13):
Corey Feldman, my man, guitarist, rock star, extraordinary dancer, legend, legend, gooney.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
I'm gonna say, Corey, Well, I believe it has his
documentary outright with just supposed to be Wild.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
There's something's going on, Corey.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Let's watch it.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
Corey, I think is fifty seven, fifty fifty five, oh
fifty five, And isn't he doing some sort of show
or something soon that we saw the thing for. He's
doing some sort of Legends of Rock or something.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
I don't know what it is. Alright, he's going Poison
or Breton Michaels solo.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Yeah, not full poison boy, Bret Michael got it anyway.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
Will Ferrell from Anchorman, so many amazing movies, Step Brothers.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Always been a fairal child.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
He's got a new golf show out.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
He is sixty five.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
I'm gonna say he's hitting the sixth level.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
Sixty fifty nine.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Oh close.

Speaker 6 (11:12):
Phoebe Kates from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, one of.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
The best scenes in movie history with she must have
been Somebody's bag.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
But that's where the song comes from.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Oh really yeah, from that scene in the Fast Times
classic movie.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Married to Levin Klein for like thirty something years.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Really yeah, Kevin Klein, who's in Dominic's movie.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
No, that's oh that's Chris Klein. Chris Klin. Kevin Kline
is he's a great oct for called Won Devlin just stuff.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Yeah, he's older. He was in Dave. He been president
in Dave.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Yeah, he's like twenty years older than her. Two, so
I know, yeah, but been together for a long time.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Phoebe Kates has got to be sixty four, sixty.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
Six, sixty three. Jimmy Johnson one of the greatest wigs.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Of all time.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Yep, Jimmy Johnson football coach Alice Coboys coach, is that.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
The one who was bangs right here, he's.

Speaker 6 (12:01):
The one that's well, it's it's oh, it's calmed over,
but it's okay.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
Who cares it comes down?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
That doesn't help me.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
It's kind of bangs.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Jimmy is.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Sixty eight. I'm gonna say he is seventy four eighty three.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Ah, it's the hair.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
He looks great.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
More Mario Lopez on the Way.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
I'm Mario Courtney Lopez. Back to the music right after
a quick digital pit stop at Onmaura dot com, so
Quardo can tell us.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
What's trending Why Betty Blanco and Selena Gomez kept their
romance private for mouths.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Well, I'm sure you want to kind of make sure
things are on the right track and you're going to
go the distance before you kind of drop that kind
of bomb on everyone.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Right, especially because they're in the spotlight.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Yes, exactly.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Ariana Grande is showing off some impressive Harry Potter impressions.
Check that out.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
She's so good at impression. She is good a impression.
He's taunted.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
And Nick Jonas and Prianca Choper react to the first
DMS they ever sent each other. I love seeing stuff
like this. I'm with Mario dot com for all.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
That more, keeping the music and fun coming your way
on Mari and Courtney Lopez. I just realized that we
forgot to celebrate today's obscure holiday.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
What do we have, honey? It is World Snake Day.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Shout out to Jennifer Jennifer back in the day, my
bowl constructor that I owned.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
My cousin Alex.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Oh, I'm like, who is Jennifer?

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Jennifer was the name of not a random name and
name of a little constrictor. Yeah, why Jennifer? I think
we both like this girl named Jennifer at the time,
you and the bowl constrictor.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Who's we both?

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Alex, my cousin a they shared the same the snake
we shared the snake responsor like twelve, like Nico's age?

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Do you like the same girl?

Speaker 4 (13:37):
I think we both thought she was cute, but she
was older, right, so we didn't.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Whatever, Courtney Lopez here music rolls on after some quick
booze buzz. The classic frozen margarita is getting a new
twist on TikTok Oh. This is your gam honey. This
one comes in various fruit flavors and is served just
like soft served ice cream. Stop it what. The semi
secret recipe includes heavy cream house margarita mix, a touch

(14:02):
of tequila.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Well, it's gotta be more than a touch a lot
of tegila.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Yeah, and restaurants have also started offering their versions of
this trend de treat. We have to look up where
it's being offered and check it out.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Yeah, totally. This is my favorite, as you know, and
I can't wait to get drunk.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
It kind of sounds like a dackerie, but yeah, tequila,
I'm here for it.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
It's like alcoholic ice cream.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
More Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Up, Al Mario.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Courtney Lopez music rolls on right after we let you
know that we want you to see Pitbull live on

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Almost time to pass the mind, but not before we
squeeze in one last thing. Pitbull officially a Guinness World
Record holder. The singer well I would say More rapper
made history on Sunday during a show in London after
over twenty two thousand fans gathered wearing bald caps.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Asterman was there.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
That is funny.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Together they said a Guinness World Record for the largest
gathering of people in bald caps, and the record was
officially verified this week.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Look at that we were going over the pros and
cons of being bald do we do that officially or
should we do a break about it?

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I think we should do it, break about it.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
There's nothing coln about it.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I think we should do a break talking about the
pros and cons of being bald. And we have a
bald friend with us today. He can sign off and
see if it's official or not.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Poor Mario Lopez. Next.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
All right, that's it, Thanks so much for hanging out.
