to a brain-twisting random question. All right, what you got?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
For $ 99 million cash, tax-free, would you only speak in
rhymes for a year? But it doesn't just happen naturally.
You have to actively make everything rhyme.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
And if I don't, does the money get taken away?

Speaker 4 (00:41):
All of it immediately.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
That adds too much pressure, too much stress. I would slip.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I'd have to, I'd slip. I mean, I think I
would just not speak a lot. I mean, I don't
know if I could do that or not. I don't
know if you could go quiet.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I wouldn't be able to work. No, I wouldn't be
able to work. So unless you made it rhyme.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Unless I made it. Well, yeah, no, that would get annoying.
We'd turn off everyone. That'd be too tough. Some things
you gotta just pass on.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (01:07):

going to have a Bachelor or Bachelorette competing. Tyler Cameron
and the rookie actress Jenna Dewan are the latest to
be announced. Okay, hold on. Jenna Dewan.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
She has a dance background.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
She was a professional dancer.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
She toured with Janet Jackson.

Yeah. Christina Aguilera as well.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Music rolls on as Frazier gets ready to share one
of the random thoughts floating through his head. Mario Lopez here.
What do you got?

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Isn't it weird that the brain essentially named itself.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I'm trying to process that.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
The brain.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
So to name the brain, someone had to then give
it a name, but that name came from their own brain.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
That's true.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
So it named itself.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I guess it did. I guess it did. That's a little,
I would have enjoyed this more had I been a
little buzzed. All right, let's get back to the music.
Omar Lopez, just a few songs away from today's celeb
birthday shout out. Hang tight for that. In the meantime,
more music and any obscure holidays to recognize.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
It is can opener day, a day in which we
honor the humble and helpful kitchen gadget.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Now, the first official can opener was invented back in 1858.
That's a long time ago by Ezra Warner.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
When was the can invented?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, and why would you invent the can opener?

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Without the can opener.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
How were you opening them prior to that? That's pretty wild.
I'm all for the automatic now can opener.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
1810.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
So the tin can was invented in 1810. The first
official can opener was 1858. So we went.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
48 years without being able to open any of them.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I was going to, what did you do? Just stab it? Yeah,
you had to with a knife, I think. That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
How did you open cans back then?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I'm Mario Lopez. Quickly squeezing in today's celeb birthdays, as always.
Razor's going to list them off. I'm going to try
to guess the age. Who do we got?

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Vince McMahon. Wrestling promoter.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Legend. Legend. Living legend. My guy's got to be 82.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
81.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Wow. 81. From Police Academy.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
We were just talking about Police Academy.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Steve Guttenberg.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Guttenberg's got to be 66. 68.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Oh, man. The hilarious Dave Chappelle.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
55. 53.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
53.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. We had him
on for some Christmas movie like a year ago.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, his wig is like really out there right now.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Yeah, it's kind of crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
46.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
45.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Hey, I'm doing pretty good.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
You're doing really well, actually. Always one off. Rupert Grint,
The Ginger from Harry Potter.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
40.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
38.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
And Sophia Richie.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
30.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
28.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Amaro Lopez, letting you know that we want to send

(05:35):
coming your way after some quick health buzz. Experts say
we've got to stop worrying. New research says 85% of
the things we worry about never actually happen. And of
the 15% of worries that actually do take place, four
out of the five people say the challenge was not
as bad as they feared and actually easier to handle
than expected. This is... It's very true, number one, but

(05:57):
it's easier said than done.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
It requires a discipline. That's why you got to find
some spirituality in your life to help let go and
let God.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
But, you know... I'm around somebody who is constantly negative
about things before they even happen. So it has taught
me to not be that way. And you, honey, have
taught me to not sweat the small stuff. And you
always say, if something's going to happen, wait for it
to happen.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
And then you deal with it.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
And honestly, that is the really great advice. And I,
sometimes take your advice and sometimes you give me good
advice and that I'll probably never say that again.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
But LTM. Good morning, Courtney Lopez, keeping the music and
fun coming your way. Also wanted to mention this interesting
study I ran across because apparently the more you love someone,
the sleepier you feel around them. Oh, so I shouldn't
take it personal, honey. When you fall asleep all the
time with me. No, I'm like, what are they called
she is she's infatuated you're like a narcoleptic around you

(06:58):
yes uh science confirmed that love really does change your
body when you're around someone you trust your brain releases
oxytocin the bonding hormone that calms you down and lowers
stress which flips your body into rest mode slowing down
your heart rate making you feel more relaxed there's even
studies that have shown couples actually sync up their sleep
patterns with heartbeats and movements aligning through the night. I

(07:21):
do sleep better when I am next to you.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
I know, and that's why you get so mad at
me when we're watching a show and I'm laying on
you and I fall asleep, but I'm just, I'm so relaxed.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
That's what it is.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
She's so in love.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
I'm just so in love.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Keeping the music and fun coming your way. Mario and
Courtney Lopez here. Got a song you want to hear?
Hit up our mentions. Add on with Mario on Facebook
and X. Add on with Mario Lopez on IG. Don't
forget to click follow and join the family.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
All right, time to laugh.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
Maybe.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Mario Lopez here, along with my wife, Courtney, who's got
another mom joke for us. All right, what do you got?

Speaker 6 (08:10):
You know, the mountains aren't just funny.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
They're hilarious.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Honey!

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Good delivery.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
I'm always about the delivery. You know, the mountains aren't
just funny. They're hilarious.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
They're hilarious.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
You love wordplay. I do love wordplay, but you got
to understand the words.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
I know.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
You got to understand the words.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
There was more passion behind mine.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
But you need to articulate a little bit. See, these
jokes are turning into just roast sessions.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
You know, I gave you a compliment before about giving
advice and now you keep giving it and I don't
want to hear it.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
This is advice you won't take. Hilarious.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
It's time to choose your side, Team Mario or Team Cordo,
because it is time for a mini pop culture pop quiz.
You're on Mario and Courtney Lopez. What are we doing, Frazier?

Speaker 3 (08:58):
We're going to play a new game called the Slaying Game.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
This is the Pittsburgh edition.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Pittsburgh edition, all right.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
I am going to say some terms. You hit your buzzer.
You tell me what you think that means.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Okay, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
First one, buggy. Courtney.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
Courtney.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
It's the cart at the store.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Shopping cart. That is correct.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
That's a Pittsburgh slang? I thought that was a slang.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
Apparently it was. Maybe it started in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Maybe it started.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
All right.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
It made its way down south too. Bumbershoot. Bumbershoot.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Bumbershoot?

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Bumbershoot is when you're playing bumper cars, but then you're like, shoot,
I'm just going to go and get crazy and go
off the beaten path.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
That is really incorrect.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
No?

Speaker 5 (09:41):
Bumbershoot?

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Bumbershoot.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
I've never heard of this.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
No guesses?

Speaker 2 (09:45):
No.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Umbrella.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
I've never heard of that. That's where people are crazy.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
I've never heard of that.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
All right. Cream rinse.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Cream rinse is when you just shampooed your hair and
you don't want to, you like condition it, but with
cream rinse. So you cream. rinse it. You're all good.
And you just leave it in. No.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Nichols?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
And you leave it in like it's gel.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Okay, stop.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Nichols.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
No, stop, stop, stop. Everyone stop. Everyone stop. I'll give
you a chance.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
It's conditioner.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
It's hair conditioner.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
That's what I said.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
No, you were saying. Nichols, stop. You were shaking your head.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Give me that. You condition your cream rinse.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
You were talking about using a different product to condition
your hair.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
You were talking about the.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Act of doing it. You said the word conditioning.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Cream rinse is the actual conditioner, not the act of
doing it. Yes, but that's like a synonym.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
No, you were.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Oh, that's controversial. Controversial.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
You know what? I'll give her the point and I'll
give you a prop. How about that? There you go.
Gum band. Courtney.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
A hair tie.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
A rubber band. Yes, that works. Lunch head.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Lunch head? Yeah. Lunch head is a dude that only
comes around lunchtime because he'd just be wanting to lunch
all the time, so he's a lunch head.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yes, an idiot. That is correct.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Hey!

Speaker 5 (10:54):
I remember that one. Nebby? Courtney?

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Nosy.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Nosy neighbor, yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Hork.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Hork? Hork. Hork.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Is when you don't even need a fork, you just
hold it down.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Incorrect.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
You hold it down, no?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
Incorrect. It's what.
Incorrect. If you could hork something from a store.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Steel?

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Steel, yes.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
Okay, maybe these happened after I left.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
Red up? R-E-D-D, up.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Oh, red up.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
That's when you're like, you did the research, so you're
all red up on it. No, that's a different version
of red.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
It's clean up. Red up, clean up. And last one, zapper. Zapper.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Because when you get your zits, boom, you're zapping.

Speaker 6 (11:45):
No. No?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
What is it?

Speaker 4 (11:48):
I like your made-up answers. Remote, TV remote. They call
it a zapper. Oh, yeah, a zapper.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
A zapper.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Never.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
We're going to do the Chula Vista one later.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
Yes. More Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
All right, so would you trust a robot to perform
surgery on you? You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez. Well,
humanoid robots have officially made medical history by performing live
surgeries for the very first time. Researchers of the University
of California, San Diego, USD, pulled off two operations, including
a complete gallbladder removal on large living mammals.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
This is huge.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
The machines, nicknamed Sergi, stand about five feet tall and
weigh just 60 pounds.

Speaker 6 (12:27):
Like me.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Yes. Human operators control them remotely using motion capture, foot pedals,
and tracking systems. Researchers say the small size and low
cost mean they could be deployed almost anywhere. From rural
clinics to battlefields to space.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
And we don't need to do surgery in space.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
However, human trials are years away. You know, this is incredible.
People say AI is going to take over. Okay, look,
it's years away, but I bet you it's closer than
we think when they perform on humans. But think about
these real desolate places or places that don't have doctors
in their town. They have to travel.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
30, 40 miles.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
This is amazing.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
This can help literally anyone. Millions of people around the world.
That's pretty incredible.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Does it pack its own bag?

Speaker 2 (13:10):
You have someone to monitor it.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
It packs itself into a case.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
More Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
New trend sweeping the socials. You're on with Mario and
Courtney Lopez. New social media trend is people joking that
they can't wait for the Netflix documentary about random chapters
of their lives. The trend pokes fun at familiar documentary
tropes in which a key interview subject is shown getting
ready for an interview before revealing their side of the story.
So now people are filming themselves in like overly dramatic

(13:36):
behind the scene moments, joking about the doc that's going
to expose their wife or their son. And they have
the dun dun from Netflix. And then they have the
da da da da da da da. Which camera am
I looking at? You ready?

Speaker 5 (13:51):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Fixing the microphone. Exactly. I was going to do one
that I feel were too late.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
For the trend.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
But we might have either Sonny do one or I
think our dog.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
You should have Sonny do it. Having Sonny do it
would be hilarious.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Well, now he has no teeth in the front.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Even better.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Even better.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
At all with Mario Lopez. That's where to find us
on Instagram. Mario Courtney Lopez here. You got to hit
us up. Make sure you click follow to join the fam.
Great way to keep up with everything. Not just we
do on the radio, but a lot of behind the
scenes pics and videos. Just posted some of me and
our son Dominic at the premiere of End of Oak Street.
That was a lot of fun. Latest music news, of course,
at Omar Lopez on IG for all that and more.

(14:30):
Omar Lopez. So the kiddos heading back to school and,
of course, back to school time means changing kids' habits.
A new survey of parents with young kids finds that
9 in 10 claim bedtime is the hardest routine to
reset at the end of summer break.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
On average, kids go to bed more than an hour
later during the summer than they did during the school year.
Unless you're a Lopez kid, you were going to bed two,
three hours later. So the sleep routine, major adjustment. The
melatonin is busted out. Getting back to homework habits. That's
another challenge. Just getting to school on time.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Helping the kids with homework.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Oh, no, forget that. That's Google and Tudors.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
Poor Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Almora Lopez, letting you know that we want to send
you to see Teddy Swims live on the Ugly Tour
in Vegas. We're going to handle everything, including the VIP
backstage tour. Just listen to Almora Lopez on the free
iHeartRadio app and click on the contest tab for your
chance to win. Prize furnished by AEG Presents. Tickets on
sale now at Ticketmaster.com. Mario Lopez here, getting close to

(15:32):
the end of our radio fun. Just one last thing
to get to, plus probably enough time to play a
request or two before I get out of here. Add
on Mario on X. What's up, everyone? Mario Lopez. Time
for one last thing. We were talking about Teddy Swims
not too long ago. We've got a contest going on,
the ugly tour in Vegas that he is currently on

(15:53):
that we can hook you up with backstage and everything. Anyway,
recently had a chance to interview him and hang out. Really,
really nice guy. I asked him a random question. I said, Teddy,
Who has more tattoos? You, Jelly Roll, or Post Malone?

Speaker 5 (16:06):
Ooh.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
And he thought about it for a second. He goes, well...
I don't know if I have more, but mine are better.
That was his answer.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
I mean, there is something to say.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Those are, those, all three of those dudes.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
They're, they're covered. Covered. Face.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
In the face.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
I mean, face and neck. That's aggressive.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
And when I saw, when I saw Teddy was wearing
shorts too, I didn't realize.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Oh, legs. All the legs.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
But so is Poe, so is Jelly.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
You know, Ed Sheeran has a ton too, but they're
not on his face. They're not on his face. We
can go on your face. Who do I think has
the most?

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Post Malone's pretty aggressive, too, dude.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
I think Post might actually have more. I think he
might have more. I think he definitely has the worst.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
That'd be a good bet, though, huh?

Speaker 5 (16:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
That'd be a good bet. Between those three guys?

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Yeah, you got to go quality over quantity.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
But just straight quantity?

Speaker 4 (16:47):
