just a bit Mario Lopez here in the meantime, Fraser's
gonna try to make us think with a random thought.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
What do you got?
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Do you think the person that invented door knocking was
just like, Hey, I'm gonna punch your house until you
come out.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Well, was it a punch?
Speaker 3 (06:52):
It's because like a little I guess the yelling with
those thick doors they had back in the probably couldn't
hear them and stonehouses, right, so you give a little
you give a little knock and it sort of penetrates you.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
You can hear that sound. But man, if they're not home, look.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Out Jomar Courtney Lopez and it's time for Cordo to
make us think with a brand new random question.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
What you got all right?
Speaker 4 (07:14):
Would you rather be handed one million dollars right now?
Or flip a coin for a billion?
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Wow, that's really that's a good question. Is a really
really good question. Quote, I'm flipping that coin. I am
flipping that.
Speaker 6 (07:29):
You are, Yes, you wouldn't take the million?
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Just ring right now?
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Yes, obviously in story that I'd be taking it. But
you know we're not starving to death, so why not.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Just go for go for it all? Yeah, I think
we could take care of generations.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Yeah, I think you flip the coin. I think you
flip the coin. You do, I would flip the coin.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
You wouldn't take the million?
Speaker 5 (07:48):
No, because I think God wants me to have a
billion dollars and he would, he would, he would give
me that billion.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Quotney Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 3 (08:00):

All marrow Courtney Lopez quick stab in a Cordo's Corner
for something fresh.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
What are we talking about, honey?
Speaker 6 (09:25):
How to make your brain look younger?
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (09:28):
Your brain?
Speaker 7 (09:29):
You know what?
Speaker 6 (09:29):
The secret is very simple.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Move your body, same way you make your body look camera.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
So it turns out that aerobic exercise literally makes your
brain look younger. A new study found adults who logged
about one hundred and fifty minutes of cardio a week
for a year ended up with brains that looked seven
months younger on scans. Scientists checked everything fitness, weight, blood pressure,
and still couldn't fully explain it. Your thirties, forties and
(09:57):
fifties are prime time to protect your brain. So time
to pull a forest gump and stop running.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Oh wow, all right, all right, how your forest gump?
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (10:07):
What do you?
Speaker 6 (10:08):
What do you say?
Speaker 3 (10:08):
I recently got a full body scan, but I don't
think that included my brain.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Oh that's how a full body scan?
Speaker 5 (10:16):
Then?
Speaker 3 (10:17):
I mean, I don't know so because I think it
was from the neck down and the whole thing was
kind of okay. So I don't know if I need
to go back for that, but I think they do
the head later. Well, I don't know, all right, maybe
it did include my brain. I'm not I'm not aware
of it. But yeah, maybe I don't remember anything going
on my head.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Is what I was saying. So huh, well, you got
to follow up. I gotta follow up. I gotta follow
up on that more.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Mario Lopez coming.
Speaker 3 (10:38):

album How'd I Get Here?
Speaker 2 (11:15):
That's dropping at midnight tonight.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Chance the rapper said to join Colbert while Kimmel's got
all three American IDOL judges Lubryan Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie
with old school Men at work slated to be musical guest.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
Okay Colin, Hey, yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
You're Mario Lopez. How you doing with those New Year's resolutions?
If yours haven't survived the first few weeks of the.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Year, well you're not alone. Big goals can be difficult.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
So that's where Plan B resolutions have come in for
a lot of people. Basically small, low pressure habits that
actually stick. You can start your day with a glass
of water, stretch a little throughout the day, read a
few pages of a real book, maybe even go outside,
take brushing and flossing seriously every day.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
That should be managed to do that anyway. In other words,
tiny changes, bigger payoff. Good luck more.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Amar Lopez, I'm sure you know a brutal blast of
arctic air is gripping the country right now, except for
here in southern California.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
We're like in the high seventies. Anyway, people are getting
creative about staying warm.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
In fact, during the Rams Bearest playoff game, apparently some
RAMS players were sprinkling cayenne pepper into their socks to
fight the cold.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Turns out there's actually science to it. If you're brave
or curious enough to try it. It makes about a
half a teaspoon with foot powder. Just don't overdo it.
The heat is very, very real.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
That is interesting in your feet.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Yeah, as long as you keep your feet somewhat warm,
you'll be okay. I was in I was at Soldier Field,
which is in Chicago, in January a few years back,
probably in my Mount rushmore of the coldest times I've
ever been in my life. I could just not get warm,
and I was bundled up. It was awful, and there
were people out there crazy is without a shirt in
the whole deal. And I said to myself, Patriots, I
(12:56):
would have to have my own children play in the
NFL if I were ever to be a situation again,
because it is not worth that.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
It is bonkers.
Speaker 3 (13:06):

Speaker 5 (13:31):
My ten year old nephew recently said to me, what
if every country on Earth has ninja's but we only
know about the Japanese ones because they're the worst, And
now I can't stop thinking about it.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Well, it could be looked at both ways, right, they're
so badass that you want to be a Japanese ninja.
I like many things about the Japanese culture, ninja's included.
I think we have green berets and special ops in
those sort.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Of things, which have different forms of ninja's.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Right right, But I want an old school ninja with
nunchucks and the ninja stars.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
And all that. I'll take the turtle variety here.

maybe even a good deed Lopezi nominee.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
I'll be the judge of that.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Some college students are turning screen time into a full
on charity. Three Yale students created an app called scroll Toll,
which nudges people to cut back on mindless scrolling while
giving back. Basically, you set a daily phone limit, and
once you hit it, the app asked for a tiny donation,
sometimes just twenty five cents to.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Keep scrolling a little longer.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
It's a reminder to get off your phone while giving
a boost to someone in need. Users are already cutting
their screen time by nearly thirty percent, all while supporting charities.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
This is actually kind of cool.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
This is very cool.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
It's kind of like a payphone if you want to
talk for ten more seconds and serve more money.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
But the money is going to a very good comment.
This is a good good job there, Yale students.
Speaker 6 (15:47):
Does anybody know what a payphone is? Listening to this?
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Because yes, because Maroon five had a song a couple
of years ago.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
I got a pet I don't think that was actually
about a payphone though, No, and the video hits on
the payphone.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Oh okay, that's the only reason I thought, so look up.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Or Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
That'll do it for us. Thanks so much for hanging
out on Mari dot Coundarylive any and all our radio fun.
We are back to do it again tomorrow. Till then
Mario Courtney Lopez saying good night
Speaker 1 (16:16):
