Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is On With Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Back behind the mic and back to work. What up,
Mario and Courtney Lopez here, fired up to get to
hang with you for the next few hours. A lot
of radio fun to get into, including Corto and I
going head-to-head in another round of the Slain Game.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Plus, we'll dig into the buzz to see what's trending
from the weekend, filter through our mentions to see what
is on your mind, play all your favorite music, and
we are just a few songs away from asking a
random question.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
So turn it up.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez. Omar Lopez wasting
no time getting right to a random question. What you got, Frazier?
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Would you rather replace all your teeth with pop rocks
that never dissolve or have your belly button narrate your
internal monologue in the voice of Morgan Freeman?
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Wait, is this even a real question?
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Of course, 100 percent is a real question. What kind
of question is that?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Of course, I'm going to have my belly button narrate
my internal monologue in the voice of Morgan.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
But that's everything you think.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, that's awesome. I'll just have that. That's just that's
just a fun deal. How can that be bad?
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
I'm Mario Courtney Lopez. Music rolls on after some quick buzz.
This one seems like a strange pairing. A new Hello
Kitty and Godzilla Happy Meal toy collection is coming to
McDonald's next week. That's just Japan getting crazy. Merging two
of their biggest titans. Their IG post shows Hello Kitty
rising from the ocean in a Godzilla-style headpiece. That's funny.
(01:21):
McDonald's hasn't revealed the full lineup yet, but apparently... Mechagodzilla,
and SpaceGodzilla will be part of the collection.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Hello Kitty's had a recent run of crossover Happy Meals.
Past collabs were with Yu-Gi-Oh!
Speaker 2 (01:33):
And Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Man, Hello Kitty, you get around, honey.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah. Yo, I'm Mario Lopez, getting closer and closer to
our 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival, September 18th and 19th at
T-Mobile Arena in Vegas. Two nights, one stage. Live performances

So do you understand all the workplace lingo right now?
(02:24):
What up? You're on Mario and Courtney Lopez. If you're
Gen Z, you're apparently struggling. According to a new survey,
Gen Z workers only understood about five out of 24
common phrases used in workplaces. Corporate lingo that confuses the
most includes in the pipeline, push the envelope, and let's
take this offline. The phrase move the needle stumped a
(02:44):
lot of them too as only 18% of employees of
all ages and 15% of Gen Z understood it means
to make a noticeable difference or have a significant impact.
I think that's because a lot of them aren't working.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Well, there's that.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
So it's hard to understand work lingo if you're not working.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
I asked a kid what push the envelope means and
they came back and brought me an envelope and they.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Were pushing it.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Wow. That doesn't shock me.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
No, I'm just kidding. I made that up.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
It doesn't shock me.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Oh, you got jokes today. Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
More Mario Lopez next.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
You're on Mario Lopez. Music rolls on after some quick buzz.
Post Malone appears to be engaged.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Photos released on IG this week show the 31-year-old pop
star with his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Christy Lee, who now
has a huge diamond on her finger. Photo was from
Lee's friend who wrote, My best friend in the world
just got engaged with a crying emoji. Well, that's pretty
right on the spot.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
I mean, it's on the news. I mean, I don't think...
Unless her best friend's not in the photo.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Right.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
It doesn't seem like too much of a mystery. If true,
congrats Malone. Yo, I'm Mario Lopez. Since January, hundreds of
files about UFO sightings have been released by the U.S. government.
What would you do if it happened to you? Experts
say if you see a UFO, stay calm. Document everything
down to the second it was seen and how it
was traveling. Of course, try to take pictures or video.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Post on social media immediately. Yes.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Government does not have a place to report sightings. Don't
bother calling 911. There's nothing they can do. There is
the National UFO Reporting Center. You can reach them at newforce.org. Recently,
this is a bipartisan issue. People have come out in
the government basically saying, yeah, yeah, we have UFOs and Yes,
there are aliens. We don't have them.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Which basically means that's not true and something else is
going on.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Well, I've never heard them be so vocal about it before.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
It is weird.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
There's a great documentary called Age of Disclosure that makes
you really sort of think about everything. And they talk
to people from both sides of the aisle and it's
basically confirmed what we've always thought. Okay, but what are
we supposed to do with that information now?
Speaker 1 (04:44):
All right.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, still got to pay rent. Yeah, exactly. Yo, I'm
Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
My girl Kelly Clarkson just wrapped up her Vegas residency
and made some headlines for something she said at her
final show. After she spotted a fan's Etsy shirt for
her movie From Justin to Kelly, she joked it was Oscar-worthy.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
The shirt or the movie?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
First of all, the fact that that girl wore that shirt,
that's awesome. Immediately explained she was contractually obligated to do
the film after winning American Idol. I remember her saying
that before. And that she bluntly called it bleep. You
can fill in the words. Kelly went on to say
she cried watching it because acting wasn't what she wanted.
And that's why she's actually banned her kids, River Rose
(05:24):
and Remington, from seeing it.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Great sense of humor.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
I've also banned that film in my house as well.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Keeping the music and fun coming your way.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Mario and Courtney Lopez here.
Speaker 2 (05:37):

Add on with Mario on Facebook and X. Add on

and join the family. Music rolls on. Mario Lopez here.

our mentions. At On With Mario on Facebook or X.
Would love to play something for you as we get
ready to battle it out in another round of the
slang game. So you got to choose your side. Team
(05:59):
Mario or Team Corto. Back to play the slang game next.
I'm Mario Courtney Lopez. Time for another round of the
slang game. What do we got?
Speaker 4 (06:08):
All right. Today we are doing slang from the silent generation.
These are people born between 1928 and 1945.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
So close to Mario's age, but not quite. Here we go.
Hands on buzzers.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Hooey. Mario.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Hooey is a guy that's kind of like your sidekick,
your little homie. That's my hooey. Incorrect.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Kordo, any guesses?
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Hooey is like when you get butterflies in your stomach
because you like someone.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
That is incorrect. It is nonsense. That's hooey.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Ah, it's hooey.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Scram. Gordo.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Get out of here.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Go away quickly. Swell.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Mario.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Swell. When you're really buff, you're all swelled up.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
Incorrect. Oh, swell. Like, that's great.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Swell? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Like, that's awesome.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
That's great. That's what I said. You already said something else.
That was your second guess. Dang. I gotta stop. Ritzy.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Mario.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Ritzy. Fancy. Elegant.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
Luxurious. Yeah. Doll.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Beautiful. Oh, she's a doll.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
An attractive person.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Hep. Hep. They got hepatitis. You call it a hep.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
That's incorrect.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
They got the hep.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
That's incorrect. What do you mean? That's probably a different
generation's definition.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Hep. Hep.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Like, I'm like, I'm happy. I'm happy.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Hep.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
No. You're trying to make something happen there that's not
going to hep. It's aware in the no. So you're
in the hep, I guess. Flip your wig.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Mario.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Flip your wig. You're freaking out for no reason. You're
just freaking out. You're flipping your wig.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Get very excited.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Close enough.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
There we go. Hotsy totsy.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Did you even wait for me to finish that?
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Oh, you think you're all that?
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Just right. Perfect. Yeah. And finally, last one. Taking a powder.
That was barely Courtney.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I'm in the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
That's incorrect.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Taking a powder. You're taking a powder. You're having a
little makeover. You're doing some makeup.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
Incorrect. You're leaving suddenly. Taking a powder.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Instead of going to the bathroom, I'm going to take
a powder. Take a powder.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
To leave suddenly.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Mario Lopez here. We've all heard that we shouldn't be
doom scrolling on our devices when we're trying to go
to sleep because then you end up just staying up
a lot later and it's really not healthy. What about
reading a book, though? That may be a much better
way to end the day. Sleep and brain health experts
say reading before bed. can help quiet a busy mind,
reduce stimulation, and create a reliable cue that tells your body,
(08:54):
time to wind down. But not reading off a blue screen,
old school, actual book, which I prefer. It reduces stress
and helps shift the body from an alert state toward
a more relaxed one. So when in doubt, go old
school and read a book. I was really good about
it last year. I got to get better about it
this year. I was reading at least a chapter a night.
That is going to be my mid-year resolution. All right,
(09:30):
Mario and Courtney Lopez here. A few more songs, then
we're going to dig into our mentions to see what's
on your mind. Add on with Mario Lopez on IG.
Add on with Mario on Facebook and X. Questions, comments,
random thoughts, whatever you got, we love hearing from you.
Back to see what you sent our way next. All right,
add on with Mario on Facebook and X. Add on
with Mario Lopez on IG. Love hearing from you. Mario
(09:51):
Lopez here. Who's this one from?
Speaker 4 (09:53):
This is from at Tommy manis gotta be honest i
don't know who brings more shame to the family olympic
breakdancer ray gun or her brother who's headed to prison
for a crypto scam yeah this is on the heels
both are frauds netflix i believe doing a documentary on
olympic australian breakdancer ray gun.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Which oh poor poor girl Just when everyone's sort of
getting over it, now they're going to remind everyone.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
People kind of forgot about her.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
She is responsible for breaking, being eliminated from the Olympics, though.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
A lot of people are at least pointing the finger
at her. But, whoa, her brother, that's a serious crime.
Crypto scam for a lot of money, too. They both
should have been arrested. She should have right after that performance, too,
with all due respect.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (10:38):

Speaker 2 (11:27):
So, you familiar with the 7-7-7 rule? You're on Mario
Courtney Lopez. That is the latest relationship trend making the
rounds online. The 7-7-7 rule, in case you're not familiar,
is a simple guideline aimed at helping couples stay connected. Okay,
the idea is to plan a date every seven days,
a special outing or overnight stay every seven weeks, and
(11:48):
an extended getaway every seven months. You know, ironically, honey,
I think we do this not knowing this rule.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Without knowing that we do it, yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Okay, we're on to something. The goal being to avoid
letting work, kids, schedules, and everyday routines push your relationship
to the back burner.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Yes, I like this rule. This is a good, smart rule.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
It's a great rule.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Y'all, Mario, Courtney Lopez. More music headed your way right
after a quick look at the buzz. Sounds like Tom
Holland is set for life thanks to Spider-Man. Word is,
when it's all said and done, he's likely going to
have banked more than $ 100 million just for the latest installment.
Good for him. Brand new day. Good for him. Yeah,
Tom's salary alone was $ 20 million, but he gets a
percentage of the profits. And since the movie's already made
$ 2 billion, that's going to be somewhere in the $ 100
(12:30):
million range. Not bad for a kid that started off
Billy Elliot, tab dancing, and now he's slinging webs. I
like him, so good for him.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Slinging webs, I like that.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
All tomorrow, Courtney Lopez, my wife getting ready to share
some fresh in Cordo's Corner. What are we talking about today, honey?
Can't even say it.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Back to school.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Going to go back.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Back.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Back to school. Okay, not joining in?
Speaker 1 (12:53):
All right.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
All right, back with Cordo's Corner in 10. Don't move.
Y'all more Courtney Lopez back to school season is here
and we're headed to Cordo's corner for some fresh school
related life hacks. What'd you got, honey?
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Oh God, I'm just not ready for it. Well, these
are hacks to help parents avoid a burnout during the
long school year. I'm already burned out.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
I haven't even started. Um, by the way, let me
pause for a second. Don't we want them back in
school so they're not at home hanging out?
Speaker 3 (13:19):
No, no, no.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Here's the thing. I think it's just the initial.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
It's a bittersweet thing because when they're back in school
comes a ton of responsibilities. You have homework. You have
a million emails that you're getting from the school. So
there's a whole, like, it's nice the summer to have
a break from that, but you do get the kids home.
So it's, you know.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Aren't you their parent too?
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Got it.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
You both ignore the emails.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
You know, let go of perfectionism.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Don't have unrealistic expectations for how meals, homework or housework
should look. Embrace good enough.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Well, I'll tell you why I respectfully disagree, because we
need to make the kids help out with the housework,
even though they have school practice. Doesn't matter. That's one
of their deals.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
No, totally.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
But I'm a perfectionist. So when I want something to
be turned in for myself, like when I volunteer and
when I help, it's like I'm already there volunteering and
putting my own money into it. Like I shouldn't. you know,
have to be 150%, you know, stuff like that. Automate
the mornings, get clothes picked out the night before and
make lunches the night before to cut down on the
(14:27):
morning chaos. We have uniforms, so it's great. But I
do even set out the uniforms the night before, even
though the kids know what they're wearing and lunches for sure.
I try and get everything, but the perishable stuff made
so that I like the sandwiches to be fresh.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Um, but that does help.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Set aside a little bit of me time, whether it's
a short walk, a chapter of a book, a quick
coffee inside a coffee shop with a friend. You have
to take time for yourself.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
That's a good one.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Mine are my workouts. Keep a shared digital family calendar
so both spouse and teenage kids with phones can all
see what's going on.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
We're all on a text thread, aren't we?
Speaker 4 (15:02):
The whole fam?
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Nobody reads anything, so this doesn't really work for our family.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Yeah, but you guys ultimately all get there.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Yeah. Don't overschedule extracurricular activities. Having too much going on
besides school is a major burnout driver. You know, you
like to do this.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yes, I like to. Jam-packed the day.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Mario Lopez here, keeping the music coming your way as
we let you know that iHeartRadio is getting ready to
bring you the biggest Latin artists in the world on
one stage again at our iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina. It's going
down Saturday, October 17th at the Casella Center in Miami.
Allmari.com slash Fiesta Latina to find out everything you need
to know, including a list of the incredible artists on
this year's lineup. Just hit up Ticketmaster.com to get them
(15:46):
before they sell out. You're all Mario Courtney Lopez. Almost
time to head home for the night. Just one last
thing to get to shortly. In the meantime, probably have
enough time for a request or two. So if you've
got something you really want to hear, drop it in
our mentions over on IG. At home, Mario Lopez. All right,
Mario Lopez here. Almost time to head home, but not
before we squeeze in one last thing. Purple Rain is
(16:08):
headed to Broadway.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
One of my favorite movies back in the day. Prince,
of course, wrote and starred in this and had one
of the most successful soundtracks of all time. Stage adaptation.
Of the film, it's set to run at the Majestic
in New York. It became a box office hit in
the 80s with nearly $ 100 million worldwide earned and inspired
a Grammy-winning album of the same name. The musical is
(16:30):
going to feature over 20 of Prince's iconic hits, including
When Doves Cry, I Would Die For You, and more.
Previews begin on March 12th, 2027 with opening night set
for April 12th. Oh, totally going to see this.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
All right, that's it. Thanks so much for hanging out
with us on Mario.com for more of our radio fun.
Back to do it again tomorrow. Till then, Mario Courtney
Lopez saying good night.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
On with Mario Lopez.
