On.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
It's Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (00:04):

solo today.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Is Mario makes his way back from New York City
where he was helping all the leprecons light the tree
at Rockefeller Center last night.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Me nels, Yes, lots of fuzst.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Of radio fun to get into, including more helpful holiday
hacks and corridos Corner. We'll dig into the buzz to
see what is trending. Ask a random question and we'll
take a quick musical trip into the past to see
what's on our throwback soundtrack. So turn the music up, people,
you are on with Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Courtney Lopez here and the music rolls on. Right after
a quick look at some of the new stuff hitting
TV and streaming. So what's you gat?

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Frazier the Abandons on Netflix Season one of that. It's
an American western action drama series created by Kurt Sutter,
who's known for Sons of Anarchy. Set in the eighteen
fifties Washington Territory, to exports themes of power, survival and
manifest destiny on the lawless Frontier. So I will love
it true story or uh, it's I mean it's probably

(01:08):
similar to how some people had to live right that.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, so in a way. Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Dunk Man HBO Max series premiere of that. It's a
high energy, six episode reality competition series where it's basically
people dunking Basketball's hosted by Shaquille O'Neil.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Okay, the only dunk I'll be doing is dunkin Donuts.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
The Great Christmas Light Fight on ABC back to back
hour long episodes to kick off season thirteen of that.
There have been thirteen seasons of that. This season will
feature four families per episode, competing and extravagant light displays
judged on lights, design, and Christmas spirits for a fifty
thousand dollars prize and the Iconic Trophy.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Every year, my plan is to sit down with the
kids to watch this show.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
And it never happens.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
So you've never seen it.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I've seen bits and pieces and I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I love it around the holidays, it's festive, it's, you know,
a fun thing to watch with the kids.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
But my god, life is just.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Crazy and you'll find time for this one.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Oh yes, sir.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo, a super
sized premiere episode to kick off season fifteen, promising fresh starts,
major fallouts, and unforgettable adventures as the ladies jet from
the Hamptons to Sedona and Florence, Italy.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Oh no, this is date night for me and Sonny
the Sunny.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Get into it.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
You're on with Courtney Lopez. A few more songs and
then we're going to make a stop into Cordo's Corner.
Fraser is going to share something helpful and holiday related
with us next right, Yes, Nah, you're on with Courney Lopez.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Now time for some.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Helpful holiday hacks. Fraser, what you got for us in
Cordo's Corner.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
These are toys that you may want to avoid this
year when holiday shopping because they are dangerous. There's a
new survey out that breaks the sound so choking hazards
and lead used to be the biggest dangers with toys
like lead toys. I guess we're a big, big problem
for a while. Yeah, but an annual report called Trouble
and Toyland says that toys would AI chatbots are huge

(03:02):
concern this year because of the inappropriate things that they say.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Do I have an AI chat box inside of me?
Because I'm inappropriate all the time.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
I don't know, maybe you identify as one. I'm not sure,
but we can't buy you for Christmas. So in particular,
the Kuma, the Teddy Bear, and Groc the Talking Rocket
are flag just having open ended, sometimes inappropriate conversations.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
I'm sorry, I'm in line, I'm going to buy this.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
And also the Cordo doll is known for being very inappropriate.
Another type of toy you might want to be careful
with e bikes. Kids thirteen and younger may want them,
but some actually go up to like twenty eight miles
an hour. Whoa, so they can be pretty dangerous. So
you really want to check if you're buying them for
smaller kids that they are mint for smaller kids.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
No, thank you, Happy Holidays to you and yours. This
is on with Mario Lopez. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Happy Holidays.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
It's Courtney Lopez. And did you know kids can send
their Christmas wish to Santa right now on the iHeartRadio app. YEP,
it's really awesome. You just tap your iHeartRadio app put
on North Radio and kids can talk to the big
guy and read themselves. They can tell him everything that's
on their Christmas list or any wish they'd like to share.
Just a little modern twist to the classic letter to

(04:10):
Santa again. Just tap your iHeartRadio app right now to
leave a message to Santa. You are on with Courtney
Lopez and we're squeezing in today's birthday shout out shortly
in the meantime, more music and.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Any obscure holidays to recognize.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Frasier National Cookie Day.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Oh I'm down.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
See I'm not against it, but I'm as you know,
more of a cookie dough person.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
As am I. But when you see a cookie there,
don't you.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I mean, I'm gonna eat the cookie, but it's like,
you know, why did we have to make it?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
What's your favorite.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Cookie around Christmas? Just so good cookies are good, but
they got to be like super.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Moist, I like I like the gouey too.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Yeah, they can't be dry like Mario.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Likes some No, he likes everything burnt o. Hey it's
Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Happy holidays and happy birthday to a few celebs turning
a year older today. As always, Frazer's gonna tell me
who's turning a year older, and I will try and
guess the age and beat myself.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
From BTS gin Gin.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Is juicing and is turning twenty three.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Thirty three, oh man, ten years off jelly Roll.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
You know this is a hard one because jelly Roll
has recently lost a ton of weight. He is forty seven.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Jelly Roll is forty one. Oh that dud younger than us?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
How am I the only one is shocked by that?

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Tyra Banks, she smises or something, it smiles with her eyes.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
You are not the next top one? Is that what
they mean?

Speaker 4 (05:47):
I think that was you are the weakest link.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Tyra is banking.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
She's going into the fifty fifth level.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Fifty two fifty two.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Z he is.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
I had some trouble in an elevator a few years
about fifty one fifty six to May from my cousin Vinnie.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Pretend you would Zia when you walk in through the forest.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
She is.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
To May or not to May.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
She is fifty five sixty one. No way, Okay, that
impression might be a last minute contender for a little
Pezzy award. Who knows. Finally, we had his brother on
I think the other week, Jeff Bridges, who's his brother
Bow Bridges, who's on Mattlock, who's.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
On Mattlock who wasn't with Nico.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Oh so Nico didn't get to see when she.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Was with Kathy Bates.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Yeah, he was with Kathy, which is just as good.
Did you tell Kathy that you appreciated her not coming
to either thing?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I did? And then security escort of course?

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Of course, who's this lady?

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Jeff Bridges is bridging the gap en sixty three and
sixty five seventy six. Oh good for him.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Happy holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
We'll be right back on with Mario Lopez on Instagram.
Hit us up, but make sure to click follow to
join the fan. Lots of fun stuff up there, including
Mario's behind the scene picks from the Rockefeller Christmas Tree,
a lighting special he was freezing, and our son Dominic
on the set of Matt Locke iHeartRadio jingle Ball. Details
on with Mario Lopez on IG for all that and more.

(07:33):
You're on with Courtney Lopez getting to a random question.
Shortly more music as well, but first, Frasier is going
to try to.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Make us think with a random thought. Okay, what do
you got?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Oh so this happened on the way in and It
drives me nuts. I don't understand. I have been in
all kinds of cars throughout my life, really really nice cars,
crappy cars. I've sat in a bunch of cars. How
people do not know your blinker is on for so
long is insane to me. I don't get it. Every

(08:04):
car makes a noise, there's flashing lights. Yeah, how are
you driving for miles with your blinker on? Is it
just this is not directed at you?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
This is is it? The both blinkers?

Speaker 4 (08:17):
No, No, not hazards. It's just one blinker, just cruising.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I have done that before, but I caught it quickly.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
I justill understand how you're not hearing it. And if
you're not hearing it, you would at least see the
light blinking.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
I drive with my eyes closed, so maybe not. You
are on with Courtney Lopez and we are wasting no
time and getting right to a random question.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
All right, Frasier, what you.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Got if you had to rename all eight of Santa's reindeer,
what would you rename them? Actually, we'll go nine. We'll
include Rudolph.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Easy, the whole Jackson five family, because that's five, and
then I would all no, that's the boys.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Yeah, so you got Tito, Jermaine, Michael, Janet who Janet
wasn't in the five, so she makes six and Joe
was the dad Joe, so that's seven. LaToya LaToya makes eight,
and we need.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
A wasn't there one more sister?

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Was there another sister?

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah? No, I would totally do the Jackson five as
the reindeer.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
And then you would be able to remember them easily.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
We've got Michael and Tito and Janet and Germany.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Jackie Jackie and.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Marlon, Marlon and Randy, Randy and LaToya LaToya.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
The countdown at Christmas continues in moments. This is on
with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
You are on with Courtney Lopez, and we're keeping it
festive and keeping you up to date with the latest
at on with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
All right, to Frazier, what was trending?

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Jesse j revealing these simple reasons she broke protocol and
hugs Kate Middleton because she can. I guess you're not
allowed to do that. Apparently I met the Queen of
England's husband, Prince Philip Wants, and there were all these
insane rules that like you couldn't take photos of the
back of their head like you wanted to anyway, Well,

(10:10):
now I want to. Now you make me want to
because you make me think something's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
I would totally mess up because I wouldn't remember one.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Rule I cursed immediately. Check out Taylor Swift new eras
to her trailer and you see her reflect on her
most thrilling chapter.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
I'm guessing this one with Travis.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
Probably and find out why ray J has put jay
Z and Beyonce on blast and what it has to
do with his sister Brandy.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Ray J is just coming for everyone.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Didn't you just get arrested or something?

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Waving a gun on a live stream? I mean, Rayj,
let's reel it in a little bit. On with Mario
dot Com for all that and more. You are on

(10:58):
with Courtney Lopez. Still so much to get to. We're
gonna dig into our mentions later to see what is
on your mind. We also got a celebrity engagement in
the buzz. If you didn't hear, I'll tell you who's
set to get hitch next. On with Courtney Lopez. Digging
into the buzz because wedding bells are ringing for Miley Cyrus.
She's engaged to her drummer boyfriend Max Mirando. The couple

(11:21):
was first linked to romantically in December of twenty twenty
one after they were spotted backstage during Miley's NBC Holiday special.
News of their engagement was fueled after they attended the
Avatar World premiere in Los Angeles on Monday and she
was seen sporting a diamond ring on her left hand finger.
I have to be honest, I didn't even notice the

(11:42):
ring because I was just in awe of both of
their heads of hair.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
They both have good wigs.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Their hairstylist is making a fortune. Okay, you haven't seen it.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
I don't know. I need to look, though, I'm gonna look.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Well, we know Miley was previously married to actor Liam Hamworth,
who had no hair back.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
In twenty eighteen. Thors brother Thor's brother for less than
a year, so that was part.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Of the problem. Just kept calling Thor's brother. He didn't
like it.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Happy Holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
You are on with Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Another quick reminder to check out Mario's new holiday movie
on great American family called The Christmas spark very very
sweet story. One of my top three Christmas movies that
he's he's done. This one is you know, really it's
not your typical Christmas movie. There's a lot more depth
to it. It's there's there's heart, more drama, there's drama,

(12:37):
there's you know, all day and yeah, all the fields.
And he was very excited to do this because of
all the La fires last year and paying homage to
he's a firefighter and he's paying homage to the firefighters
and he had to train like one, so you know,
he was he was tired. With Mario dot Com to

(12:58):
see the trailer and find out more. Hey, Courtney Lopez
here with some quick buzz. Lady Gaga is getting personal
with Stephen Colbert, taking part in his Colbert Questionnaire. She
recalled her first concert. Gaga dished about things from her
favorite sandwich and Italian sub to the animal she finds,
the scariest really large birds, and to her least favorite

(13:21):
smell cologne. Lady Gaga just received seven Grammy nominations ahead
of the ceremony slated four February.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
First Good for.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Her on with Mario dot Com to check that out.
On with Mario dot com on Facebook and ex on
with Mario Lopez on IG.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
We love hearing from you, guys. It's Courtney Lopez here.
All right? Who's this from Fraisier.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Before I tell you that, I just saw a photo
of the hair that you were talking about earlier with
Miley Cyrus and her fiance and it is epic.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
It's like I'm jealous.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
It's I'm impressed and I'm jealous as well.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
And I think that's all their hair.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
I don't even know how you do that. No, I
know it's it's impress if you haven't seen it. This
is from at Savvy, so Cynthia, you know it's wild.
You listen to cool music all day every day, but
listen to Mambo number five one time in a moment
of weakness. And Spotify is like your number one artist
is Lou Bega. We told Lou you want to hang
out with him.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
You know that's funny because I do notice that there
are some songs that come on and I'm like, oh,
I haven't heard this song in a long time, and
then all of a sudden, they think it's my favorite song.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Yeah, so I get it.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
I would hang out with Lou Bega.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
I mean, yeah, why not?

Speaker 1 (14:29):
I beg of your pardon.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
The countdown at Christmas continues in moments. This is on
with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
You're on with Courtney Lopez, quickly saying congrats again to
all of our five thousand dollars winners and iheartradios. Thank
a teacher and of course powered by donors choose. There's
still time for you to nominate a public school teacher
making a difference and maybe give them a gift of
being one of our next winners a five grand to
make over their classroom.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
That's amazing.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Help us say thank you to the educator's shape our future.
I couldn't thank my kids teachers enough. You guys, you
seriously nominate your favorite teacher. Now at on with Mario
dot Com slash Teachers. You are on with Courtney Lopez.
More music in a sec, But for some quick buzz.
Kids are falling for brands their parents grew up loving.

(15:18):
According to The New Coolest Brand's twenty twenty five report,
they say kids are discovering classic brands like Pokemon and
Hello Kitty through social media.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
I don't really feel like that ever went away.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
Yeah, those are always kind of around.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
They're also into Nintendo, Super Mario, Uno, Monopoly, Star Wars,
and Converse. So for parents that means it's a chance
to bond with their kids over shared favorites. I noticed
my daughter for her birthday got a pair of the
Adidas Thick soles with the really thick laces.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Really.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Yes, so they're coming back as well. Yeah, on with
Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
And we're less than a month away from New Years.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
So it's a little early to think about New Year's resolutions,
or is it. Some experts say you should soft launch
your resolutions now so you can ease into them then
be mentally ready to go strong in January. They say
we're more likely to fail by trying to make a
drastic and overly challenging changes on January first. But if
you start now, if you fall short in December, it's

(16:20):
okay because you're just practicing. I think this is a
great idea because I feel like any hard launch of
anything is just root for failure. I just feel like
you're just setting yourself up.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Yeah, I like, I already screwed up twenty twenty six.
I'm gonna just my year is gonna be twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
You're already already screw up.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Next year, I'm gonna skip one.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Stay positive. I like how you think.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Happy Holidays from the entire on with Mario fam more
fest and fun coming up.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
You're on with Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
And now that we're past Thanksgiving, our countdown to Christmas
or rolls on. We are just twenty one days until
Santa arrives.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Can you believe that?

Speaker 4 (16:56):
I cannot. Actually, it feels like our city was on
fire yes yesterday, which was January. Like it's insane, I know.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
And I'm actually afraid for the new year because we
started off.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
This year didn't start off very well. But next year
we'll be better. Twenty twenty seven will be the best,
but next year'll be Okay.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Hey, it's Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
It's almost time to pass the mic, but not before
we get to one last thing, which is coming up next.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
But first more music.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Okay, you're wrong with ma, I'm swear I haven't been drinking.
You're a fez all right, It's time to head home
for the night, but not before we squeezed in one
last thing.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
So there's a chance.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
The Oxford English Dictionaries Word of the Year may make
you upset.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
It's chosen rage bait as twenty twenty five's top word.
I don't think I said it.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
One time, But that's defined as online content deliberately designed
to elicit anger or outrage. It's origins date back more
than two decades. It was first used in an online
discussion forum. You could argue it's two words, not one,
but they selected brain rot as its word of the
year for twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
They're like super negative over there, very.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Super negative, rage bait. I've said clickbait. I don't think
I've ever said rage bait.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
I don't know that I've ever said it either, and
that disqualifies it, I think for being worthy.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Well guess what now I'm mad?

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Oh see now this is this segment is rage bait.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Let us know what you think. And on with Mario.
Happy holidays from the entire On with Mario, fam more
fest and fun coming up.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Thanks always for hanging out with us. Thank you for
you know, hanging out with me. I know sometimes I
can just I'm annoying. More fun tomorrow, I promise. Until then,
This is Courtney Lopez saying good night and happy holidays
