radio fun to get into, including a great guest actor

Speaker 3 (00:17):
We're gonna honor the comment of the week, talk a
little must see movies, and break down a new music
warning in our Mario Music Minute. So turn it up
and let's go. You're on with Mario Courtney Lopez, joh
Mario Lopez. A bit of a warning in our Mario
Music Minute this week. A recent Harvard Medical School study
found that major new album releases are linked to a
measurable spike in deadly car crashes. Oh that's not good.

(00:41):
Researchers looked at the ten biggest streaming day albums from
twenty seventeen to twenty twenty two, Taylor Swift, Drake, Kendrick
Bad Bunnie Harry Styles. On those release days, US music
streams jumped about forty three percent. Traffic fatalities also arose
fifteen percent compared with the days immediately four and after
from an average of one hundred and twenty one deaths

(01:03):
to one thirty nine, or roughly eighteen extra deaths per
release day. Now it wasn't tied into drinking or anything
like that, but instead to distraction, unlocking a phone, maybe
to hit your playlist, scrolling right, you want to get
another track list going, tapping songs behind the wheel. You know,

(01:23):
no longer is drinking and driving the only thing you
need to worry about with teens.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
You gotta worry about stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Like this, texting and driving trying to put on a
new playlist. You know what's wild though, I think back to,
like when I first started driving, which was a long
time ago, when we had CDs that we would have
to have in the car, and I had a book
of CDs. I'm like flipping through CDs. Yeah, but I
had Yeah, you had the changer in the trunk.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Das had the changer in the trunk, so you could
just do that. You could just do that, Yes, exactly.

Conan O'Brien Must Go. Season three on HBO Max. The
Comedians travel series returns with four new episodes. He's Going

thriller stars Anne Hathaway as a disillusion pop star and
Michael Coell as her former costume designer, who reunite during
her comeback and confront old wounds.

Speaker 1 (02:36):

Nicole Kidman even appeared in lion S Well, She's in
lion S Yes, A bunch of mini series yes, and
a bunch.

my latinos. I talk about everything that I think people
are thinking. They're thinking in the same things I'm thinking,
but don't have a way to say it without offending nobody.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
Yeah I can. I can say it in a way
that it's taken to heart. I can see that.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
How much how much singing do you incorporate into the act?
You do impressions with this?

Speaker 5 (09:57):
It depends, It depends.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
It depends on on that audience.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
You know, I can you know, I can get away.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I remember you, you're Sammy Davis one was my favorite back.

Speaker 6 (10:07):

Mutiny and action thriller Jason Statham plays a man framed
for his billionaire bosses murder who boards a cargo ship
for revenge, only to uncover an international conspiracy which I
assume he's gonna solve.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
I feel like I've seen this movie with Jason Statham before.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
Ten times right. He like Liam Neeson will make They
make these kind of template movies, but they're always fun
and they kind of work. Spa weekend, It's comedy for
lifelong friends head to a luxury palm spring spa for
some much needed pampering, but when their train wreck friend
shows up, the relaxation descends into hilarious chaos.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
This has Bridesmaids vibes to it. It looks pretty funny.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
That's quite the bar to live up to. Hopefully it does, though.
And Insidious Out of the Further a supernatural horror sequel,
a young mother discovered she can enter the Further. The
purgatorial Realm of lost souls and soon realizes she can
bring its inhabitants back with her, which seems like a
bad idea.

Speaker 5 (15:37):
That's heavy.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
You're on Mario Lopez music rolls on. After some quick
buzz post Malone appears to be engaged okay.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Photos released on IG this week show the thirty one
year old pop star with his on again, off again

best friend in the world just got in aged with
a crying emoji.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Well that's pretty right on the spot.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
I mean it's on the note. I mean I don't
think unless our best friend's not in the photo.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Right, it doesn't seem like too much of a mystery
if true. Congrats Malone, You're all Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Final hour for us, but still so.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Much to get to and honor the comment of the
week in about thirty five minutes or so. In meantime,
more music and gotta choose your side, t Mario or
Team Quardo, because we were back to battle it.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Out in a fake debate next.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Time for our weekly fake debate where the topics are
made upon the spot, but the passion is real.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Mario and Courtney.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Lopez here, all right, who's gonna be pro? Who's gonna
be kinning?

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Courtney will be pro because she was con last week,
you will be connu My fifteen seconds to make your case,
ten second rebuttal afterwards. Your topic today is the year
nineteen ninety three.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
She's pro.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Nice, you're pro nineteen ninety three. I believe the.

Speaker 7 (16:46):
Year nineteen ninety three is when I entered middle school
and met the love of my life, Chad.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Is that it? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (16:57):
All right?

Speaker 7 (16:57):
All that needs to be said.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Your argument is should be my case. If you peaked
at Chad back in ninety three, that's enough. Ninety three
it was a year that was met with a lot
of drama. Desert storm happened, the stock market was bad
the early nineties.

Speaker 7 (17:19):
You're done, I'd be QUIETZ. Nineteen ninety three was not
desert storm. It was the storm of love between Chad
and I, Chad and me, me chatting me and Chad, me,
the storm of love between me and Chad.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Not a particular great box office, not a particular great
year in music, Grunge was on the scene, but it
was sort of fading stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
So ninety three is very forgettable.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
That four Mario Lopez coming up, Almorow, Courtney Lopez back

Speaker 4 (18:56):
This is from at It's me crushing it. Aging is weird.
On paper, I'm forty. In the gym, I'm twenty five,
and at nine pm I'm eighty seven.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
It's me crushing and I feel you. I'm I'm pretty
