Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario Lopez Sabriral. Mario Lopez joined me
right now on Zoom actress Anna Cab How are you.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Anna, I'm great, Mario, so good to see you.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
How are you I'm well, thank you, Nice to see
you too, and congratulations on your new show Hysteria on Peacock.
It's got a lot of buzz right now, and it's
all about the satanic panic of the eighties, right.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yes, that is correct.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
That is a log line right there. So is it
a comedy horror thriller sort of deal or how would
you describe it?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I would say there is some comedy there, but mainly
it is a thriller.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
So yes, it's very scary, very spooky.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Some supernatural things are going on, so it's it's a
thriller for sure.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
And I'm sure the soundtrack to it's got to be banging.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I mean, obviously we got Ozzy Osbourne, we got Twisted Sister,
all those metal bands.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Awesome, awesome, And is your character one of the villains or.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Listen, I obviously don't think of her as a villain,
but I think if you watch the show some people
would yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Okay, okay, and how'd you like doing a period piece
in the eighties.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Well, I mean, obviously the hair is incredible, so I
play this like eighties quintessential, like mom buttoned up, very religious,
very conservative, So I have like nineteen eighties mom hair.
I was jealous of all the high school kids though,
who were like into the goth makeup and all of
the cool stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
But yeah, I mean the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Is vibrant and amazing, and it really puts you back
in that time period for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Nice. Well, good for you. Look forward to checking it out.
And what's up with Pitch Perfect for? Is it true
that's in development right now?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Listen, we would love to do it.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I mean, all of the bellas. We're still in a
group chat. We talk about it all the time. Universal
would just call us and give us the call. I
think we'd all say yes.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I'm sure it's coming, Sure it is. You're also starring
in the fifth and final season of You on Netflix.
What can you share about your character. I'm sure you
got to keep things under wrap, but anything you can tease.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
I can't say too too much.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
But I am playing twins, so I get to play
two roles.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Which is really exciting.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
And I actually get to act with myself, which was
a huge challenge.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Oh, were you difficult?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
I'm gonna say that I'm the most generous actor I've
ever wrote to it.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
So there you go. Fair enough? All right?

Speaker 1 (02:28):
You also have a movie called Bride Hard in the
works with the Rebel Wilson. That sounds funny. What's it about.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, so it's basically like Die Hard, but Bride Hard.
So it's an amazing action.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
It's action.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
There's so many explosions. We're running, we're being chased. I'm
the bride and I'm not gonna lie. I did Bride
very hard.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah, you've brited it hard. That's cool. That's cool. So
I got a random question. I know you were in
True Blood back in the day and documentary or recently
saw called Anatomy of Lies. Have you seen it?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
No, I haven't seen it yet. I need to see it.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Are you familiar with it?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yes? I do know what you're talking about yet.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
The TV writer Elizabeth Finch who used to work on
that show. She's one of the most diabolical people I've
ever seen. That documentary is wild. I think you'd like
it if you see me to watch it.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I didn't meet her while I was You did meet
her good blood. Yeah, so so I didn't meet her.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Kate Barnow was the other writer that they worked with together,
so I met her briefly.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
I need to see the documentary because I hear it's
mind blowing.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
It really is. Okay, So that was it other than
just a little small interaction.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Huh, Yeah, that's about it. Yeah. But yeah, I've heard
it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
You're gonna appreciate it. You're gonna appreciate it right there.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Awesome.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Are you sticking around for the holidays? You take it off.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I'm actually going to go to South Carolina to visit
my family where they live and hopefully eat a lot
of amazing food, get some home cooked food because I'm
dying to do that. I'm not the greatest cook, so
I'm drying to go get some some good food.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I like that move right there. Well, it was very
nice talking to you. Congratulations on everything, and listen. Be
sure to catch Anna in the new series Hysteria, out
