now on Zoom Multiplane recording artist Leona Lewis. How are you, Leona?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
No, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
How are you? I'm doing well. I always enjoy seeing
you because I was just telling my wife whenever I
think about you, I have nothing but fond memories because
you're when Bernie Love Verse came out years ago, That's
when I had met my wife and it was on
constant repeating. You know, music kind of takes you back
to that time was falling in love and the whole thing,
and so so it's nice. It's nice a song could

just kind of take you back to a time right.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Love that I love that. Seventy people I feel like
fell in love to that song. So it means like
a lot to different people.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yeah, absolutely, and I know a lot of those people
are looking forward to this. You're coming to Vegas for
a residency which is starting in November. A Storry night,
a Christmas spectacular. That sounds fun. What can we expect?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, I'm so excited. I'm going to be in Vegas
October and November and a little bit sorry November December
into January and Yeah, just so so excited because I'm
getting to play to people in the US for the
first time. I've never taught here, so really excited because
I've felt a lot of love and support here, so

(01:13):
excited to create a very special show. I'm going to
be singing a lot of songs from my first album,
which is really exciting, and then a lot of songs
on my Christmas album. It's going to be like a
magamation of both of those. So I'm excited.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
That's great. These are your first shows in America, that's awesome.
And I know you released a Christmas album in the past.
Are you're planning new Christmas tunes as well?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
So there will be a few new songs in there
that people may not have heard me sing before, which
is going to be fun. And just kind of working
on set lists and stuff at the moment. Oh good, good.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
And I know it's been about what ten years since
your last studio album. Is anything in the works as
far as new music wise?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, So I've been in the studio last year and
this year we're really just taking a deep dive. Since
my last album, A lot has happened in my life.
One significant thing is that I got married, I became
a mom, and so I got a lot to pull
from a lot of life experience that I'm writing about.

(02:18):
So I'm really just in that mode right now and
I think by next year i'll have something, So I'm
really looking forward to that as well.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
That's great. Congratulations on all that holds your daughter.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Now she's three.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
It's fun, it's fun funny, It's really funny. That's going
to be fun, especially Christmas time. To have her come out,
like living.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Like Christmas through her eyes is so special.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
It's the best. It is the best. It is the best.
And I can't believe this. It's been almost twenty years
since you won the X Factory UK and your career
of course exploded after that. What do you remember most
about your first audition?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Oh, my goodness, Well, I actually first auditioned with Simon
how and Paul Abdoor was there. Oh, she was a
guest judge, I remember, and I just remember her being
so sweet and kind and lovely. But she was, yeah,
one of the guest judges at the time. And yeah,
I just remember going in the room and being a

bit like that.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
What was the song you sang? So that I get
what was the song?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
You sang I sang over the Rainbow. Oh strong, it's
the even Cassidy version.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Oh very cool. Well, I'm so glad it all worked
