So today I have part two of a conversation that
I'm sure is gonna shake the room up a bit
because we're talking to Deb Antony, mother, manager, businesswoman. We

know her for Deb's House, but also responsible for the
careers of Nicki Minaj, French Montana, Gucci Man, and more.
Let's get back into the conversation as she explains her
relationship with all three of them. I know that one
of the people that a lot of people will point
to when they talk about how you go up the
bat for your artists is your relationship with Nicki Minaj.

And I reached out to you during the time where
there were reports that you guys that like split and
like management, and at first I didn't even know that
you guys were still working together. I thought you had
kind of like took a step back and were just
focusing on Deb's house and what you had happening. But
there are reports that you guys have split because of
her political views.

I reached out to you then, because before I tried
to be as like, here's what here's what's being said,
and here as close to the sources I can get
people will say or you will say back to me,
because again, when I saw those reports, my first thought
was I didn't know Dev was so actively managing anyway.
I thought she was more focused on the television and
the Dev's house and different things. So I was confused.

So I reached out and said, hey, here's what's being reported.

only thing I have.

again or growing up in hip hop, I said, if
I had to just know what I said, if I
had to vote for somebody, I would have voted for him, right.
I didn't vote for him. So by the way I
became a Trump or a Maga, I became net. I
ain't argue with that because the one thing I was
always taught don't argue people about two things. That's religion

in politics. Okay, so I stay away from that.

But that was in twenty twenty one, right when you
said that, I forgot what that was. Yeah, not to
cut you off, but it's because when you say things
like that, knowing what the world is seeing happening with
Donald Trump, it's hard for people not to associate you
with Mecca because that's kind of what happened with Nicki
minaj As will too.

Yeah, but you want to know something, you want to
know something. We all do a lot of things. You
understand if you said here, it's spent your life trying
to appease people. I pray for you. I am not
going to spend my life trying to please people if

a bunch of times, not by him, but other things
that was going on. I never got to go because
it always was something that was in the way. But
I don't know who out there, if it was ever invited,

You know how I felt meeting Maya Angelo. You know
how I felt sitting down with Depster King, Martin Luther

said that that I met that some people don't even
care for today. I'm not gonna go against I don't
I don't particularly care for Puffy, but I would not
go against that man now it's a black man still,
even though I don't agree with what he did with
a woman, I'm not gonna go against. I'm not gonna

is the fact that you can't control him. Do you

I like anybody that can't be controlled and have their
own mind, good, bad or different. You understand. I don't
make it my business to follow anything that the man
is doing. There's a lot of stuff going on. What
we gonna do about the sweetheart? We ain't doing nothing
about our own culture. We ain't stop doing the stuff
that we're doing. We ain't stop the slaving ourselves. So

how somebody gonna keep talking about a white person and
what theyre doing if we keep going against each other
and keep doing the things we do teach you ain't
trying to listen me. You ain't trying to educate me.
You ain't trying to help me. You just want to
knock me down and bare you out. So come today,
somebody love you, and tomorrow they hate you. Nicki min
and Ivan was the biggest person in the world that
everybody loved. One time she go up there, she going

be in your corner when it's happening for you.

are in human, that you don't have problems. You look
at people like you don't have anything. And if you're
going through a bunch of stuff and there's nobody helping you,

so Daln, Nicki, minaj Demn, Gucci Man, THEMN, all the
rest of them. Okay, I bought you Nicki Minaje, I

my fault. It's my fault because guess what, alva comes
the truth when you do nothing to defend it. So
that's all everybody has to go on because guess what
that they said? Nothing? But I never felt like I

Who owe you to I gotta explain myself every day
to you. But if you're all you're read, I have
to constantly go on the internet. I'm out with that thing.
I hate that stuff. I hate that gossiping. I hate it.
I can't. You don't understand what to do to me?

that time. They was going in on me. I just
so much. Don't they claim? This is what they claim? Okay, gohall,

anything to anybody, but because you are taking opportunity to speak.
And it is where when we do get these like
sit downs with you. Who is it that you want
most to speak up in the midst of all of this,
that you think if they were to stand by your
side and say things the clear things up According to
what you're telling me about the Gucci man, you know

about Nicki Minajen and your relationship or wherever that is.
Who would you want to stand up and what do
they say?

if that's necessarily where we want to go with this
right now. Right we're not trying to pull anybody else

I knew that this would kick up so much stuff
for me period that's going on that I have never
had my just zoo. I've never spoken on any of
this stuff. This right here with Bratt was piercing to me.

I've not taken nothing from none of these artists. I've
given them all opportunities Brat. Bratt had her own opportunity
and she was who she was. But Brett didn't do
reality TV either. She didn't really like it. It was

just something that I wanted her to get into because
we were so cool. Let's do that. I can do
this with you. I'm always trying to pitch something with women.
I'm always trying to do something with a woman. Okay,

and it is what it is. But I'm tired of
finding something else to say about me. I brought so
much good stuff into this industry. I've done so much
in this music and film industry period, A lot that
I have done, and I keep getting stomped on. Ain't

nobody standing up for me? Ain't nobody speaking enough for me?
And now a time that I want to speak is coach. No,
you can only say this nothing. You can only say that, Yes,
devinth bosses out there. I want everybody to know I'm
telling my life story. I'm telling them what I'm comfortable
because nobody knows a lot of stuff. They don't know
what I'm really doing in my life. I don't discuss

that stuff. Most of these people keep cameras around them.
They made up. That's why they all bugged out now,
just about a lot of them, because now you can't
keep up with nothing when that stuff is not going on,
when it's still ain't happening for you.

Let's talk about Debbie's Boss, right, I know that is
your show that you have coming out. There was a
trailer that doctors well too correct, it's already o oh,
it's out. So how many how many episodes do we
have out of Debi's Boss?
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Or is it now? It's not even the episode that
was here's we go with another thing, death is? I mean,
Dev's how Death's Boss was Bever's Boss. And that was
during the same time that this stuff was going on. Okay,

that they wanted this, they wanted my story, and it's
that time. This was we TV. It was supposed to
have been a series. They needed a series. Okay, they
wanted that, and that's what we all talked about at
first doing it. But then all that stuff happened at

WEE TV again, and the people weren't there in the war,
and people were moving, people lost jobs, and it was
a whole bunch of little stuff that came in that
went off the table. It was smashed. My show was smashed.
When Brett Disma came in, we went in for the movie.
We turned that the ang the series into a movie.

So now I was doing a movie and Death's House
it was. I was so confused because both shows was
being done at the same time simultaneously to it one
time when everybody was being dropped, I had continuous stuff
going on.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
So I know in depth. In Deb's Boss, right, it's
you have the music angle of it, and you talk
a lot about like people kicking you and getting your
flowers and stuff like that. Do you think that this
is the project or this is the time where people
will finally start opening their ears to listening to things
outside of what is the normal narrative that we hear
when people talk about deb Any because it's not all

bad on time. I don't always hear all bad about.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
You, No, I thought, it's just these pasta it gets me.
I don't like to you called the thief. I don't
like that, and especially the people I love you have
to say what I'm saying. Yep, I don't like that,
like those things that just pressure them for me.

I get it, I do. I just I mean, I
don't know, I just I hear you and then talking
to you now like this is our first time actually
in a real conversation. I watched I don't know if
it was you and your brother. They're on Matt Haffa,
and it was like a real in depth interview.

Might have been both me. Is that yeah?

Yeah, But so I watched both interviews and I remember
watching it and just being like, you know, as I'm
learning and growing within this industry, like these are the stories,
these are the things. This is like the resilience that
you want to hear about, because it is. It is tough,
but I can't imagine how it was for you because
there was a lot of things that I have, like
social media and different platforms that you did not have.

And I know that Devis Balls goes into that as well,
really talks about you just surviving queens and building yourself up.
And I hear you say right now that you're hurt
by a lot of the narrative that is happening right now,
and it's I'm sure it's because you made it through
so much to get to this point and you're still
having to fight.

Not the part that just it just gets to me,
you know, and I think, like I know that one
of the biggest things that I go through is, you know,
this industry unfortunately, if a man is not sitting here
with you as a woman, it don't really work that

well for you. Okay. And as simple as that, and
even in artists with females, when the man goes you going,
and that's how it's been for women, you know, like
they weren't able to hold onto their own and that's
because men was able to stomp down on you. You

know that that's the things that they're supposed to do.

It's like, I'm happy, devast Boss, we're going up hopefully
so with sinking an Emmy nominations for Boss, little mama
plagued me. I want to do a lot of stuff
with that. Why did you choose her?

Everybody that was on that show was phenomenal. Everybody did
a remarkable job, remarkable, the production company, remarkable everybody. It

was such enjoyment for these people. When I was really
scared because I didn't know, I didn't want this to
be done. I really didn't know what to be done.
But I said, you know what, I'm gonna tell my
story before everybody else keep telling them, because they keep
telling me stories. These stories ain't right. You're not gonna
rewrite my history. I'm not gonna let people do that
no more. That's not happening anymore. I want to pick

doing this, we had our people that we could go
to to put our stuff out. I'm not a lot
for us, but real journalists, you're real, You're not making pretending.

I'm very happy that you did, because I really never

gave some big opportunity, sweetheart. And it's very easy for
people to get Brad doing today and doing the work

that I did yesterday because they would have never been
able to walk that walk that I walked. Okay, they
ain't have that in them. I was a real trooper.
I really was Deborah, really was her. They didn't know
about that Deborah in the Bible. I really was Hut.
I had to fight this tooth and nail for each

a lot of people, because there's tons of people that
stopped me, that loved it. That I didn't have that
drama going on. I wasn't gonna have that drama going on.
I dealt with a lot of women that were hurt.
I wanted women to see themselves on that screen. I
needed you to see you. I didn't need to see

you because you had a fat behind and a short
you know, a little waistline and all those little things.
I didn't need to see you because you had the
story of a strip of or any of this kind
of stuff. And I'm not downplaying people. I'm just saying
I needed you to see you. There's a lot of
people that would take advantage of the opportunity, but unfortunately

I still have felt them because they come in and
they already think they superstars. They've been tainted. These shows
got tainted. So many kids out here that think that
this is so easy to just walk in and this
is who I am. You can't even handle a stage.
You don't know how to work a stage. You don't
know how to do an interview, you don't know all
these things. You don't know how to do. That's what
(21:22):
that show was about, not pet not running, not going
through the other little things that we talked about, and
then wrap them and go through. I wanted them to
learn who you was and put away some of your
pain and don't hide yourself. That's one of the things
that people do every time somebody get on TV. They're

all made up. I never did that when I was
in my kitchens, when I was in anything. Don't make
me up. I'm gonna come in with slippers. I'm gonna
be ready to see you. Ain't always gonna see me
like that. You're gonna see a real person. I'm a
real person. I do real things. I go through real stuff.
I get sick, I Doug Bill collect, I do everything
that everybody else do. At the end of the day,
what I want them to know is that we're both

gonna lay on that piece of better and go through
this the same exact way. I'm gonna be your neighbor
next door in the hospital. It's gonna be the same.

you want me to be. It's not fair, even you

And I brought them to Georgia and popped the place
back off, and they flipped on me? Who helped me?
Who who ever came to my side and said, wow,
she did this? She did that? These artists, don't they

And it is where when we do get these like
sit downs with you. Who is it that you want
most to speak up in the midst of all of this,
that you think if they were to stand by your
side and say things the clear things up According to
what you're telling me about the Gucci man, you know

about Nicki Minajen and your relationship or wherever that is.
Who would you want to stand up and what do
they say?

much good stuff into this industry. I've done so much
in this music and film industry period, A lot that
I have done, and I keep getting stomped on. Ain't

And now a time that I want to speak is coach. No,
you can only say this nothing. You can only say that, Yes,
devinth bosses out there. I want everybody to know I'm
telling my life story. I'm telling them what I'm comfortable
because nobody knows a lot of stuff. They don't know
what I'm really doing in my life. I don't discuss

that stuff. Most of these people keep cameras around them.
They made up. That's why they all bugged out now,
just about a lot of them, because now you can't
keep up with nothing when that stuff is not going on,
when it's still ain't happening for you.

Let's talk about Debbie's Boss, right, I know that is
your show that you have coming out. There was a
trailer that doctors well too correct, it's already o oh,
it's out. So how many how many episodes do we
have out of Debi's Boss?
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Or is it now? It's not even the episode that
was here's we go with another thing, death is? I mean,
Dev's how Death's Boss was Bever's Boss. And that was
during the same time that this stuff was going on. Okay,

that they wanted this, they wanted my story, and it's
that time. This was we TV. It was supposed to
have been a series. They needed a series. Okay, they
wanted that, and that's what we all talked about at
first doing it. But then all that stuff happened at
(13:20):
WEE TV again, and the people weren't there in the war,
and people were moving, people lost jobs, and it was
a whole bunch of little stuff that came in that
went off the table. It was smashed. My show was smashed.
When Brett Disma came in, we went in for the movie.
We turned that the ang the series into a movie.
(13:47):
So now I was doing a movie and Death's House
it was. I was so confused because both shows was
being done at the same time simultaneously to it one
time when everybody was being dropped, I had continuous stuff
going on.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
So I know in depth. In Deb's Boss, right, it's
you have the music angle of it, and you talk
a lot about like people kicking you and getting your
flowers and stuff like that. Do you think that this
is the project or this is the time where people
will finally start opening their ears to listening to things
outside of what is the normal narrative that we hear
when people talk about deb Any because it's not all
(14:25):
bad on time. I don't always hear all bad about.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
You, No, I thought, it's just these pasta it gets me.
I don't like to you called the thief. I don't
like that, and especially the people I love you have
to say what I'm saying. Yep, I don't like that,
like those things that just pressure them for me.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
I get it, I do. I just I mean, I
don't know, I just I hear you and then talking
to you now like this is our first time actually
in a real conversation. I watched I don't know if
it was you and your brother. They're on Matt Haffa,
and it was like a real in depth interview.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Might have been both me. Is that yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Yeah, But so I watched both interviews and I remember
watching it and just being like, you know, as I'm
learning and growing within this industry, like these are the stories,
these are the things. This is like the resilience that
you want to hear about, because it is. It is tough,
but I can't imagine how it was for you because
there was a lot of things that I have, like
social media and different platforms that you did not have.
(15:30):
And I know that Devis Balls goes into that as well,
really talks about you just surviving queens and building yourself up.
And I hear you say right now that you're hurt
by a lot of the narrative that is happening right now,
and it's I'm sure it's because you made it through
so much to get to this point and you're still
having to fight.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Not the part that just it just gets to me,
you know, and I think, like I know that one
of the biggest things that I go through is, you know,
this industry unfortunately, if a man is not sitting here
with you as a woman, it don't really work that
(16:11):
well for you. Okay. And as simple as that, and
even in artists with females, when the man goes you going,
and that's how it's been for women, you know, like
they weren't able to hold onto their own and that's
because men was able to stomp down on you. You
(16:32):
know that that's the things that they're supposed to do.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
You know.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
It's like, I'm happy, devast Boss, we're going up hopefully
so with sinking an Emmy nominations for Boss, little mama
plagued me. I want to do a lot of stuff
with that. Why did you choose her?
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Why she?

Why not my mama's doing if she had my attitude.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Yeah, she's short, she might be short, but she's still
it's television, you understand what I'm saying. They're sudden illusions.
But she did an excellent job. Lisa Ray. My mother's
so happy because my mama was upset because my mama
didn't want this done. My Mama didn't want her life
on the earth to make her look like she was

a bad mother. She loved Lisa Reay, you understand, said,
Everybody that was on that show was phenomenal. Everybody did
a remarkable job, remarkable, the production company, remarkable everybody. It
(17:43):
was such enjoyment for these people. When I was really
scared because I didn't know, I didn't want this to
be done. I really didn't know what to be done.
But I said, you know what, I'm gonna tell my
story before everybody else keep telling them, because they keep
telling me stories. These stories ain't right. You're not gonna
rewrite my history. I'm not gonna let people do that
no more. That's not happening anymore. I want to pick
(18:05):
and choosers because back in the days when I was
doing this, we had our people that we could go
to to put our stuff out. I'm not a lot
for us, but real journalists, you're real, You're not making pretending.
That's why I'm sitting here with you. There's an oath
that you took still in doing this and realism. Been
(18:27):
doing your homework and checking stuff, you understand, so which
I'm very happy that you did, because I really never
knew when people said that. Now I know that in
twenty thirteen he did foul a lawsuit on me. I
didn't know it. People talked about stuff, but I didn't
know it. You understand on say that nothing ever came
to me. So you just enlightened me. Right now. Now,
(18:49):
I just learned that it ain't no dad gonna settlements.
I'm saying, ambulance, No, it ain't no settlements. It's nothing
people owe me. Okay, they owe me a lot. I
gave some big opportunity, sweetheart. And it's very easy for
people to get Brad doing today and doing the work

that I did yesterday because they would have never been
able to walk that walk that I walked. Okay, they
ain't have that in them. I was a real trooper.
I really was Deborah, really was her. They didn't know
about that Deborah in the Bible. I really was Hut.
I had to fight this tooth and nail for each
(19:32):
and every one of them. Rather they give me any
type of I'm looking talking about flowers. I don't need
no flowers. You know, just don't diminish my name. You
ain't even if you don't want to talk about me
talking about me. Don't diminish me, don't don't do that.
Don't make them a line on me. You ain't ever
gotta never mention me. I never use anybody, just like

even death sounds. I never used breath. I never said
her name in nothing. I never I never did any
of that. So I did something of something that I
wanted to do, and it went good. I did a
reality show. I did real reality something that they said
couldn't happen, that wouldn't happen in real time. What you've
(20:16):
seen is what you got. And I know it touched
a lot of people, because there's tons of people that
stopped me, that loved it. That I didn't have that
drama going on. I wasn't gonna have that drama going on.
I dealt with a lot of women that were hurt.
I wanted women to see themselves on that screen. I
needed you to see you. I didn't need to see
(20:37):
you because you had a fat behind and a short
you know, a little waistline and all those little things.
I didn't need to see you because you had the
story of a strip of or any of this kind
of stuff. And I'm not downplaying people. I'm just saying
I needed you to see you. There's a lot of
people that would take advantage of the opportunity, but unfortunately
(20:59):
I still have felt them because they come in and
they already think they superstars. They've been tainted. These shows
got tainted. So many kids out here that think that
this is so easy to just walk in and this
is who I am. You can't even handle a stage.
You don't know how to work a stage. You don't
know how to do an interview, you don't know all
these things. You don't know how to do. That's what
(21:22):
that show was about, not pet not running, not going
through the other little things that we talked about, and
then wrap them and go through. I wanted them to
learn who you was and put away some of your
pain and don't hide yourself. That's one of the things
that people do every time somebody get on TV. They're
(21:45):
all made up. I never did that when I was
in my kitchens, when I was in anything. Don't make
me up. I'm gonna come in with slippers. I'm gonna
be ready to see you. Ain't always gonna see me
like that. You're gonna see a real person. I'm a
real person. I do real things. I go through real stuff.
I get sick, I Doug Bill collect, I do everything
that everybody else do. At the end of the day,
what I want them to know is that we're both
(22:06):
gonna lay on that piece of better and go through
this the same exact way. I'm gonna be your neighbor
next door in the hospital. It's gonna be the same.
I'm not I'm not in human. Don't make me who
you want me to be. It's not fair, even you
saying a celebrity, it's not fair. I'm Deborah at me
and that's what I want people to know. I'm not
(22:27):
in human. Not perfect, but I'm not in human. And
I'm definitely not a thief. But I think that's a
good button the ending.
