Now some quick sports. The NIXT feat the Celtics last night,
one thirteen. They lead that series three one Tatum. They're
saying that he might have torn his achilles, so we'll

they'll do a check up today.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
And the kittles is worse than hamstring mat Yes, that's good.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yes, yes. And the timber Wolves beat the Warriors last
night one to seventeen, one to ten. They lead that
series three to one. And just the heads up. In
the NBA Draft lottery first round, Dallas got the number
one pick. So Dallas got the number one pick. So
they have Kyrie, they have at and now we'll see
what's say uh huh yeah, Cooper flag from Duke. That's
what they're probably gonna pick up morning on again. Sorry

(04:24):
for the time, now you good.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Let's just get right into it.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
How y'all doing We good?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yes, all right, I'm gonna just move on.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
All right.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
So more than a four dozen Africanners have come into
the US, and President Trump he pretty.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Much funded it.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
A group of forty nine white Africaners who were granted
refugee status by the Trump administration departed South Africa on
Sunday night and landed uh Dulles International Airport in Northern
Virginia on Monday.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Now.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
President Trump signed an executive order in February granting an
exception claiming minority africaners were being we're being treated unfairly.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
In South Africa.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
During a press conference yesterday, a reporter ask, why are
you creating an expedited path into the US for white
South African refugees, especially during a time when your administration
has pretty much halted all refugee admissions.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
And here's what the President had to say about that.

Speaker 7 (05:12):
Farmers are being killed. They happen to be white. But
whether they're white or black makes no difference to me.
But white farmers are being brutally killed and the land
is being confiscated in South Africa, and the newspapers and
the media and television media doesn't even talk about it.
If it were the other way around, they talk about it,

(05:32):
that would be the only story they'd talk about.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Respectfully, mister President, I'm talking about it right now. But
Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, he welcomed the africaners,
African farmers when they arrived to Dallas International Airport. The
group will now have a pathway to US citizenship and
be eligible for government benefits. And for those who don't know,
apartheid was a system of legalized racial segregation and discrimination
enforced by white minority government in South Africa from nineteen

(05:58):
forty eighteen ninety four and involves separating people based on race,
particularly particularly restricting the rights of and opportunities of the
black majority. And of course, the word apartheid means separateness
in Afrikaans, so it seems like, you know, if based
on what the president is saying, it just seems like,
you know, it is part of the course, it is

(06:22):
on brand.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Well, I'm just curious to see why those four individuals,
why those four Africans are allowed in the country and
nobody else is allowed in.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
The country White afric Yeah, it's forty nine of them,
but why, But why.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Like, what's what's the deal with that?

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Because you're so into getting people out the country that's
not here the right way and this, that and the other,
but you let these four dozen white african it is coming.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
It doesn't even make.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Sense forty nine white Africans over there in African Because
I didn't know that they were white Africans in South Africa.
There are white Africans African shut, yes, but.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Basically they're saying it's racist, it's racism.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
They're being treated unfairly by their government, and yeah, they're
they're fleeing their country because of unfair treatment and racism.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
The flag is a white African too. Did y'all know
that Cooper flags? Yeah, y'all didn't know that, did you.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
I don't know, but if that was true, to think
about it, we always the next exception.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
People people gonna be mad at me because I did
not know that that there was white African the white
Africans breaking me like you did not know? Like, no,
I did not know.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I don't think they talk like that.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
So they talk white.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Still, I've never heard a white African talk like that.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Call out African accent is a little different.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Africans, Ye, white Africans. Jesus right. All right, Well, but Morgan,
we'll see you next hour.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Yeah, we'll get into something else and then hour.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
But I'll keep you guys posted on this story as
time as it develops.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
All right, everybody else, get it off your chest.

he's telling me that my grandfather had seven outside kids.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
That sound about right.

Speaker 10 (09:30):
I didn't that I didn't.

Speaker 9 (09:31):
Know about though. So Mom, this dude that I grew
up thinking that was my mom's friend and my family friend,
it is actually my uncle.

Speaker 11 (09:40):
Mama, want anybody tell me?

Speaker 1 (09:43):
So?

Speaker 11 (09:43):
Now I'm like, how many other people that I think
all my regular friends and family that are actually my
uncle and aunt?

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Man at this, how many of your actual cousins you
probably had sex with growing up and didn't even know.

Speaker 9 (09:56):
Because I'm like, yo, I could probably kind at least.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
What that's right?

Speaker 9 (10:01):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
We gotta do better, people, I mean, we do keep
secrets from each other, you know what I mean. But
that's that's regular though, especially if you're from the South,
like that's that's so regular.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
But then but then you.

Speaker 9 (10:13):
Wonder why we so be actually crazy sometimes because you know,
we be intermingling and we don't even know we'd be intermingling.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Right, that's deeply rooted, like from generations and generations back.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
We be mixing.

Speaker 10 (10:24):
We be in bringing that we don't know that. You
think that somebody's crazy, You're not crazy.

Speaker 9 (10:29):
We mixing the world ding eight together.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Now, you got a cousin looking his elbow. And you
don't know why, y yeah, you don't know why are.

Speaker 9 (10:36):
We bringing vaccine for?

Speaker 10 (10:39):
We don't know that.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
That is very true.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
That's not all that's shut up.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
You know.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
God got sometimes he's just like, I'm gonna just do
something different with this one. You know what I mean.
It ain't gotta be incests all the time.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight five
one oh five one. If you need to vent hit
us something now, it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the
Breakfast Club.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
I'm telling, I'm telling what's doing?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Holy you?

Speaker 8 (11:10):
This is your time to get it off your chest,
whether you're mad or blessed. Eight hundred five one. We
want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Hello. Who's this?

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Hi?

Speaker 10 (11:21):
How you doing one?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
We're doing well?

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Black and Holly favorite, how are you?

Speaker 10 (11:24):
I'm fine. I just want to tell everybody good morning,
got blessed. But I just want to really say that
my heart and my soul truly aches for this country
because we have a president that's set on national television
that the reason why he signed the executive order for
those people to come over here was because they're white.

(11:45):
It was My soul really aches and my heart really
aches for our country.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah, listen, it was a big day for white Africans. Yesterday.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Fifty nine white Africans were brought into this country as refugees.
And you know, Cooper Flag or white African, got drafted
number one in the NBA draft.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Cooper Flag is not waiting.

Speaker 10 (12:05):
In the meantime, they're mentioning people, you know, Latinos and
Mexican babies out of their mother's hands and throwing them
in deportation and just I mean, you know they're getting deported.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
This is just this.

Speaker 10 (12:20):
I truly feel the wrath of God is really about
to fall upon.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Well, let's go. I'm all for that. You know what
I was thinking to me too, I'm ready. You know
what I was thinking yesterday too.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Man, regardless of what party you are, regardless of what
your race is, your gender, your sexuality, if you're an American,
all you should want is for your president to uphold
the constitutions and a lot of every a lot of
things we're seeing are just simply unconstitutional and that it
shouldn't be a matter of party or anything else for you,
as an American to be able to call that up.

Speaker 10 (12:52):
And one more thing, I want to say is that
the young man who was shot by the policeman and
his father murdered or ran over the policeman. I don't
condole violence. I do understand. The only thing I wish
if you're gonna kill somebody that killed, kill a person
that killed.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
To someone, well let's not kill nobody.

Speaker 10 (13:11):
Well that's true too, you're right about that, but that's all.
Who are we to that man? How to feel or
how do we act after his cell was murder.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
I believe it was temporary, and sanity believe that.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Some passed absolutely possibly one.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Hundred percent believe it was a temporary of get it
off your chest eight hundred.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
I was very apologized again, so like and I'm sorry, man,
you don't hung up more?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Sorry man, get it off your chest eight hundred five
eight five, one oh five one. We got the ladies
with Lauren coming up. Lauren got on slippers again today, flip.

Speaker 12 (13:50):
I was walking with a fly. I have on heels.

Speaker 13 (13:52):
Don't put me downplay this out, feel like I'm not
over here on wang. Don't play with me. This is
not a fascinating here. The girls that know, no, you
just want you want me to look so bad now

(14:14):
on a swim team, like, leave me alone. We're gonna
get into it. Yesterday y'all, first time ever in this case.
I felt like, all right, I know that he might
be able to walk on home a little bit.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Yo.

Speaker 13 (14:25):
Yes, his legal team. Mind you, was only day one,
so this is very like premature emotion.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
You were there from nine am to seven pm.

Speaker 13 (14:31):
It was nine am till we left court at five,
but I left around like six thirty because outside there's
like so much happening.

Speaker 12 (14:37):
So you yeah, but it's very premature.

Speaker 13 (14:40):
It was the first day of the opening statements in
the first couple of witness testimonies. But if his legal team,
Brian still in them, go down and do everything that
they did yesterday for the rest of this case. The
prosecution ain't ready.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Legal team, top dog laws. Let's go, baby. I want
to know when the guy said he urinated, right.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Man, we're gonna talk about it. We're gonna talk about it.
We'll get that when we come back. It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning, the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Good morning everybody in DJ Envy's Jesselarry Chelama and the God.
We are the Breakfast Club. All right, Let's get to
the latest with Lauren Lauren becoming.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
A straight fast man. She gets somebody that knows somebody detail.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
I'm the lone girl that knows a little bit about everything.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
She'd be having the.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
Latest on the Latest with Lauren la Rosa. Sometimes you
have fact, sometimes you have details. Sometimes you have a
little bit everything. It's the leads on the breakfast club.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Talk to me.

Speaker 13 (15:40):
Okay, So yesterday in court, did he the opening statements
took place? So the opening statements took place. Prosecutors went first,
the prosecutors of the people who want did he locked up?
Then did he team? The defendants came after that. Now
the prosecutors came out swinging, I'm not even gonna hold
y'all like. They revealed so many different things that we
had never heard before.

Speaker 10 (16:00):
Her.

Speaker 13 (16:00):
They they told us that Cassie will testify this week.
Her her husband, Alex find was in the courtroom yesterday,
and I saw him in the lunch room, so I
thought she might have actually got on sing yesterday.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
But it didn't happen.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Did yesterday?

Speaker 12 (16:09):
I didn't see Cassie, but I saw gotta eat.

Speaker 13 (16:12):
If you leave out, if you leave out, you might
miss your chance to go back into the court. Room
because only but so many people can go in. So
I stay, it's all right, it's cool, we'll get you through.
But so yeah, so they told us that Cassie will
testify this week, and they talked about what her testimony
may be. So they dropped the big bomb when they
mentioned that Cassie will testify that a male escort performed

(16:33):
a sexual act that required him to yearinate.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
That would that would stop people in their tracks. For yeah,
like just pe like he just had the p it
was where he and we got, yeah, urinated yes on her.

Speaker 13 (16:51):
Okay, I'm saying it the way I was told to
say it. So that was the first thing, which people
were like, wait what. And then the second thing they
they the prosecutors basically are making like we knew they would,
making Puff to be out this like angry man who
like just can't control himself or whatever.

Speaker 12 (17:09):
So they go straight into a Cassie incident.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
But it's not the video.

Speaker 13 (17:12):
They talk about the time where Cassie decided, I guess
she got upset that Diddy was dealing with other women.

Speaker 12 (17:16):
She decided to go deal with somebody else, so she
dipped Puff was coming.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
He came.

Speaker 13 (17:21):
You know, he's allegedly he's looking for he can't find her,
he grabs his gun two of his staff members. One
of the staff members says that she did not want
to go, and allegedly she was forced to go, So
they labeled that kidnapping. And they went to this man's
house looking for Cassie in his rage. Cassie wasn't there,
and it was like all hell broke loose. But the
peeing thing was a huge thing.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
Now.

Speaker 13 (17:43):
Diddy's team came real quick on their opening statements and said, look,
and I thought their opening statements to be honest with y'all.
Week Diddy's team, like, I thought, like, okay, all they
did was on up to everything. They're like, look, he was,
he was angry, he can't control his anger. He you know,
might have abused drugs and been a horrible boyfriend. Y'all
gonna hear text messages and audios that may come sound

(18:03):
like a horrible person and that he may have been
all of the most horrible things you could think about him.
When it comes to how he dealt with the women
in his life, he's owning up to it. But when
it comes to these charges, one thing has nothing to
do with the other, You're not going to be able
to look at him at the end of this case
and say that because of any audio, any video you see,
or anything that we are telling you right now, that
is despicable.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
They admitted it.

Speaker 13 (18:25):
Like if he was guilty of domestic violence, we wouldn't
be arguing today. I mean if we if he was
charged with domestic violence, we wouldn't be arguing to day.
If he was charged with abuse in a certain way,
we wouldn't be arguing today. But because he's charged with
everything else, the sex trafficking and all these other things,
we're here because he's not guilty of that.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I wouldvet to ask you, you know, the fact that
he went to somebody's house, that he's not being.

Speaker 13 (18:44):
Charged for that though, right I think the reason why
the prosecutors open up with that is because they're trying
to show that he can't be controlled and and there's
like this jealous rage that their ledge happened whenever it
comes to him and his women or whenever he doesn't
get his way. The prosecutor's overall theme was you can't
tell did he know? Because if you tell him no,
you don't know what might happen to you. He'll threaten
your career blah bla blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
But he's not on trial for that. And that's that
was so interesting.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
When I saw the defense from Diddy's team at Top
Dog of Law, he was saying that, you know, they
were saying, just because it's a moral doesn't mean it's criminal.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
I don't know if the jury is gonna be able
to separate the two though.

Speaker 13 (19:16):
Okay, so look getting into that. This is why I
was like key impressed yesterday. So then they start calling
witnesses to the stand. So they called this guy, which
witness y'all want to go with first, the male escort
or the lapd offer whatever.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Enter.

Speaker 13 (19:30):
Okay, so the male escort gets on the stand, right,
black mal escort. Yes, he's a black man. He's like
probably like five seven, really stocky, like you know, muscle.
I could tell when he walked in. I'm like, oh,
he must be like a dancer or something. Oh no,
Charlemagne's body could never He's not a dancer or something.
So he gets on as he finished, please baby listen,
look at you sitting over to sit up looking on pudgy.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
So he's on the stand. So he's understand.

Speaker 13 (19:58):
And he's describing his relationship with Cassie and Diddy, and
he's saying that, you know, up until a few years
ago in New York, whenever they would come here, they
would call him because he would engage in different sexual
acts with them, right allegedly, So he's like, every single
time he got the phone call, it was from Cassie.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
The way that he met them was through his bass.

Speaker 13 (20:16):
So his boss came to him one day and said, look,
I have this couple who wants to do something for
the wife. It's a bachelorette party. They need a molt stripper.
They didn't have a male stripper.

Speaker 12 (20:24):
So he went.

Speaker 13 (20:25):
He shows up in the NYPD T shirt and he
says Cassie. He alleges Cassie. Cassie opens the door. She's
in red lingerie. She's in a wig, dark glasses and
pumps and she's like, listen, your boss told me that
I'm supposed to give you two hundred dollars and this
so what he's a leging and instead she gives them
four thousand. She's like, I want to explain to you
what's about to happen. So this is not a bachelorette party.
My husband likes to do special things for me. He

(20:46):
wanted to do this for my birthday. He just wants
us to like rub baby oil on each other and
you know, just kind of like get familiar with each
other and whatever happens from there, if you're comfortable, I'm
open to it. So he's like, okay, So he goes in.
He says, when he walked in, on the side like
just look at.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
He said.

Speaker 13 (21:05):
He literally said, he said Cassie was one of the
most beautiful women he had ever seen in his life.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
He couldn't even believe it. It was happening like this.

Speaker 13 (21:10):
So he walks in and he alleges that Puff was
there sitting in the room, but you couldn't tell it
was him because he had a bendana tied around his
face and he had a hat corner and he was
sitting in the corner. So he says, but he did
say the minute that did he opened his mouth to
like say something.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Take that.

Speaker 12 (21:26):
I don't know what he said that.

Speaker 13 (21:28):
It was probably like just an introduction of like he said,
he did yo. He told him he worked in imports
and exports. So when he said that, he said, I
heard instantly caught the voice, and they're like, well, how
did you catch catch the voices? Said, I have been
listening to this man, like, you know, majority of my
whole life. So he said that they got into got
into it. He says that they were rubbing each other
with the oils. There was other lubricant there as well,

(21:48):
and that him and Cassie had sex on the couch
in that hotel allegedly, and that the whole time Puff
sat in the corner and.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Masturbated executive producer.

Speaker 13 (21:57):
And he did say he did say that, you know,
he never Puff never got involved, but he did what
he was telling them what to do at a different
times beats. And he also made it clear too that
when he on the first time that they linked up,
Cassie told him like, you have nothing to worry about.
My husband is not gay. He's not gonna touch you,
he's not gonna whatever. He just you know, he's gonna

(22:17):
he might tell us what to do or whatever, but
he's not gonna be It's just going to be us
doing the physical things.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
He said.

Speaker 13 (22:23):
Today linked up a lot more times after that. His
payments were ranged anywhere from like six K to like
four or five thousand dollars depending on what they wanted
to give him. He said sometimes he would even show
up and wouldn't even get paid. But he was just like,
I just like being a part of this lifestyle. But
he did say that there were there was two things
he said. He said, one time he couldn't get hard
anymore because he had saw he went to Cassie's house,

(22:45):
they got comfortable with him. He came to Cassie's house.
When he was there, Cassie and did he was in
the room, he was outside in the living room. Did
he comes out and goes off on Cassie like allegedly
beats her up bad because she took a long time
to come back in the room to him. And he said,
after he saw that that was his first time seeing
her get physically like touched. He couldn't even engage your
sexual activity with the two of them, And they haven't

(23:06):
gotten across examine him yet, like did he seem started
and then they had to stop about the urination the
urination thing, So he's so he randomly was just like
recounting their experiences and he just came out and said yeah,
like because they were asking him, what are some of
the things you would have to do. He said, well,
one time Cassie asked me to you know, urinate on
now how on her? And now we all gassed being like,

(23:28):
oh wait, because the prosecutor, so Cassie asked him, did
he exactly? Because the prosecutors opened up that literally probably
like fifteen minutes before that, the prosecutors were like, Cassie
is going to tell you that did he allegedly made
this escort urinate on her? There's an escort sitting in
front of us, sworn in on the stand saying no,
Cassie told.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Me to do that.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
And this is what I was talking about yesterday when
I said they're about to put Cassie through it. And
I hope her husband isn't hearing anything he didn't already know. Yes, right,
if that's gonna make for some very awkward moments at home. Yeah,
and if you did know that your wife got urinated
on and didn't find this out in court, it's a
lot could you handle that?

Speaker 13 (24:06):
But let me tell you not only because he had left.
He was in the back of the court and then
he went I think they took up to like a
back room. But the girl, the you know, all the
Diddy kids are there, right, so his daughters are there.
I was sitting behind them. It was awkward for me
to watch them have to listen to all of this.
They after he started the male escort started getting into
a lot of the masturbation and stuff.

Speaker 12 (24:23):
They got up and left.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
They got.

Speaker 12 (24:26):
No did he didn't tell them to leave?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
I don't.

Speaker 13 (24:28):
I don't know if there was a conversation or not.
I looked up from writing and I saw them get up,
So I don't know, but I know that they were
like checking on each other throughout. I saw them ask
like Christian at one point, like you okay, because they
brought him into this as well, like having conversations about
the jealousy that was between Puff and Cassie, because you know,
the defense is just trying to paint this ass like
this was just a jealous, toxic relationship and it started

(24:48):
with did he not being able to leave him alone
up until the time of her passage?

Speaker 1 (24:53):
So was there?

Speaker 12 (24:54):
I saw, But she's okay.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
I happened.

Speaker 13 (24:59):
Her leg is just she'll be in a boot today
from what I'm told. But she's okay. Though it's not
like anything like supers. I mean, broken leg is serious
but it's chicken hell, so she'll be good.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
But there's more.

Speaker 12 (25:07):
I got to bring this back at the.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
Talking questions when we talk when we come back, because
I want to know what Diddy was doing during all
of this.

Speaker 13 (25:13):
It was his body language, like gotcha, And the kids
were giving off some of the languages as well too,
because when that male escort said that part about Cassie
Christian and Justin, like the way that they looked at
each other, like finally, somebody's saying, that's what it felt like.

Speaker 12 (25:27):
That's not what they said, but that's what it felt like.

Speaker 13 (25:28):
So we'll come back on the top of the next
hour because there's a whole nother witness and they broke
this witness down.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
All right, Laura la Rose to the Latest with Lauren. Now,
if you're just joining us, she was actually in court yesterday,
so she's breaking down what she's seen, what she heard.
We'll get back to her in the next Latest with Lauren.
Whatchure happen in about forty minutes. It don't go anywhere.
We got front page news coming up. And she's going
to court today too, right, you're going to court today?

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:50):
So does I leave here?

Speaker 3 (25:51):
All right?

Speaker 2 (25:51):
We got front page news. NeXT's the breakfast Club. Goo morning,
you're checking out the breakfast club. Good morning, everybody. You
seej Envy just hilarious.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Charla mean the guy. We are the breakfast Club. Let's
get in some front page new. Start off with some
quick sports. Last night, the Timberwolves beat the Warriors. They
lead that series three one, and the next beat the
Celtics one twenty one to one thirteen. They lead the
series three one. Tatum was injured. They're assuming it's a
torn achilles.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
But killing out today, killer is a ACL You could
tell that when that happened. The New York Nicks going
to the NBA Finals, I think so yeah. I mean
they're gonna end up playing the Indiana Paces in the
NBA Finals. It's gonna be a great series. But the
Knicks is gonna go to the NBA Finals.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
I think so too. And also yesterday NBA draft, Dallas
got first pick. So that means Dallas has Kyrie and
and now Cooper flag.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Let me tell you something, Dallas had a one point
eight percent chance winning the NBA draft. With those odds,
they were supposed to have the number eleven pick and
they end up with number one NBA. You have to
make the jig look less obvious. Can you make the
rigging look less obvious? Okay, Mavericks traded Luca to the
Lakers last year. None of us can understand why. Now
we know because they got promised Anthony Davis and a

(27:03):
guarantee for the number one pick in the draft, which
everyone knew would be the white African Cooper Flag.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Not a coincidence that fifty nine.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
White African refugees were bought into this country yesterday and
Cooper Flag, who was a white African, got drafted number one.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
And if you don't believe he's a white African, well
guess what.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
He is the first white American basketball player with superstar
potential that's a male.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
So either way, they rigged it put him in the
best possible situation.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
They definitely seem like they rigged that, y'all trying to
create the next Larry Bird.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
We going to see what that white African does next year.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
He's not African.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
But good morning, Morgan, good morning.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
If I can add to your sports Michael Jordan will
be joining NBC's NBA coverage this fall. So the network
announce stor on Monday that the global Icon will be
a special contributor, and in a statement, Jordan said the
NBA on NBC was a meaningful part of his career
and he's excited about.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
Being a special contributor on the project.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
So the NBA will be back on NBC for the
first time since two thousand and two, and the league
and network reached an eleven year deal last summer.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
So look forward to seeing all of that.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Michael Jordan must be bored. He must just want something
to do.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
He needed so, you know, we never really hear him
talk talk, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
That's another thing to he Well, we'll see, yeah, because
I mean he's one of the well the greatest basketball
player ever.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
So I mean I don't want to say much. You know,
talent speaks for itself. But yeah, we would love to
hear the commentary rocks.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Why not. The NFL's goat is a commentator, Tom Brady,
So why not? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (28:31):
And naturally naturally all right?

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Moving on, This comes as President Trump is looking to
bring down prescription drug and pharmaceutical prices on the home front.
He told a story about a very rich but overweight
friend that he has who is on the fat shot.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
Many our speculators. He's talking about ozempic.

Speaker 6 (28:49):
Now.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Trump said his friend told him that he goes to
London to get the fat shot, which is eighty eight
dollars in London, because here in New York he would
pay thirteen hundred dollars. Now, Trump signed an executive order
yesterday that aims to slash prices in the US to
what other developed countries pay. Now, Trump said the US
will no longer subsidize the healthcare of other countries. And

(29:09):
he's also targeting other practices that inflate drug prices. So
the US often pays as much as three times more
than other developed nations for prescription drugs. And so let's
take a listen to the president's commentary around this issue.

Speaker 7 (29:23):
Basically, what we're doing is equalizing.

Speaker 9 (29:25):
This is a new word that I came up with,
which I think is spelledly the bust words.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
We're going to equalize. Well, we're all going to pay
the same We're going to pay what Europe's going to pay.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Big Farmer will either abide by.

Speaker 7 (29:35):
This principle voluntarily, or we'll use the power of the
federal government to ensure that we are paying the same
price as other countries.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
So the President called the executive order one of the
most consequential in the country's history.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
Seems to correct me if I'm wrong. I mean, he's
doing it as an executive order. But didn't Biden Harris
actually do the inflation reduction which lord prescription drug costs
and made Healthy Sure has more affordable, so that that
was actual legislation. So I'm just I'm wondering, why does
he have to sign an executive order for legislation that's
already in place.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Am I getting this wrong?

Speaker 1 (30:09):
I'm not sure that you're getting it wrong. Maybe the
confusion is around the fact that we're talking about affordable
healthcare and drug prices within the country versus us comparing
ourselves to others, which is I think this is the
difference in that. So, but either way, just bring the
prices of drugs and prescriptions down, I mean, so that
they are affordable for people.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
Whether we got to compare ourselves to other countries or
I just.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Thought that I already thought we were.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
I thought we were already there, Like you know, I
mean the insulin thirty and thirty five dollars a month,
you know, like, oh no.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
There's still more work to be done for sure, especially
according to the President with the fat shot.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
Hello, Yeah, I just want somebody to explain to me,
like I know, I just want to know what did
he do yesterday that the Inflation or Reduction Act hasn't
already done.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
That's what I want to know.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
And the White House says the problems at Newark, New
Jersey Airport falls squarely on the shoulders of the Biden administration.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the airport is using equipment
that's old and it looks like it's off the set
of a movie Apollo thirteen, and that's dangerous.

Speaker 5 (31:10):
Let's take a listen.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
The outage also interrupted the phone line and radio frequencies
for a very short period. This is how controllers talk
to palottes. I'll be requesting an OIG investigation into the
failures of the last administration. We're using equipment that looks
like it's off the Apollo thirteen sat.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Duffy's former transportation head, Pete Boudage Edge, who was under
the Biden administration, ignored problems with the airport's telecommunication lines.
He also said there are temporary software fixes in place,
but also warned that it will take time to modernize
the airport and flights will have to be reduced. So yeah,
not as many flights coming out of Noork as a

(31:49):
result of this. And I'm almost certain that you know,
it's like we see these issues with every little thing,
and Nork is just the first one, right, so I'm
sure there will be probably an overhaul of many other
airports in their systems as.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Well, you know.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
Then now, so they said, one one, listen to what
I'm saying. One air traffic controller and a trainee are
going to operate every flight in and out of Newark
between six thirty pm and nine thirty pm, even though
you need fifteen staffers being the standard requirement for a shift.
That's what One traffic controller and one trainee will operate

(32:26):
every flight in and out of NOWRK between six thirty
pm and nine thirty pm.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
That's insane, Yeah, it is.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
And authorities have suggested, you know, not using Nowork right
now if you if you can, if you can manage
to use the music. So why don't they just shut
Why don't they just shut it down? Like that's what
it feels like they should do, like just shut the
airport down.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
What they would lose. I guess these airlines would lose
so much money. It would. But if it's like if
it's a chance you could die, That's what I'm saying,
And then you're.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Getting canceled anyway, They getting delayed, being pushed to other
airports anyway. So it doesn't make sense. Just shut it down.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Flock it jes clocking all right, and election during times
it was like one hundred and sixty eight to one
and eighty planes office, and you.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Got one air traffic controller, I just don't see.

Speaker 3 (33:10):
What he'll be stressed out.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
The rule for this is.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Zero, That's exactly.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
And that's essentially why the other air traffic controllers walked
off the job. I think it was three or four
of them that walked off the job. And that was
just for ninety seconds of no, no, eight no, the
systems being down for ninety seconds. They said they were
so stressed out because they just felt like, well, what
can they do when the system went out for ninety
day sorry, ninety seconds that they walked off the job.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
They're like dealing with trauma in therapy and.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Stuff like that right now, like because they're like the
pressure the amount of pressure of you know, you you
want to be responsible in a role like that. Goodness,
But you know, right, look that's your front page news.
Of course, of course, always that's your front paced news.

All right, y'all have a great one.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
YouTube now, all right now when we come back as
the ladies from Poor Mind's podcast, Lex p and Dre
and Nicole will be joining us. They have a four
episode docu series on b e T called Travel Queens,
and we'll talk to them next. So don't move. It's
to Breakfast Club. Good Morning, the Breakfast Club. Morning everybody.
It's j n V. Just hilarious. Charlamagne the God. We

(34:25):
are the Breakfast Club. We got some special guest in
the building, My girls. Next, p Andre and the cod podcasts.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Again. Feeling great, really good, happy to be.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Here, Happy to see y'all. Yeah, y'all got the new
show Travel Queens.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
I'm happy to see y'all. Just evolving. Poor Minds podcast
is a hit. Poor Minds Podcast Evolving. Now y'all got
the Travel Queen's TV show on bt, it's a docu series.
How'd that come about?

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Also, the production company Coco Butter, they actually reached out
to us because they wanted us to audition for it
because they had us and like I think some other
maybe like two or three other friend groups in mine.
So we auditioned for it. They loved us, and then
we got Eat and we started filming maybe like a
month after Yeah, and then really filmed the whole show
in two weeds.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Coco but No, it's actually not.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
So it's a white kind of.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Yeah. So what a travel quiz about where y'all going
with what y'all doing?

Speaker 1 (35:32):
So we went to four different cities. We went to Cardahena,
Mexico City, Key West, Charleston. So it's basically really showing
like young black millennials gen zers, especially women, how to travel,
where to go eat, where to find other black people
when you travel, just how to be safe and have
a good time. I think right now and media I
will say right now, but I feel like a lot

(35:53):
of stuff that we're seeing in the media with black women,
it's like who fighting, throwing drinks in people's face. So
I really think it's refreshed to see two black women
who are really friends, just having good, innocent fun. We're
not talking about men and dating and gender wars and
all this stuff. It's just good fun.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
What about the ladies that are watching it, like, well,
how am I going to be able to fly myself out?
Don't start from the.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Actually BT, but I will say so. A lot of
the stuff too, is like it's budget friendly. I mean,
we went to Charleston, you know what I'm saying, but
you can do it around trip. We went to Key West,
so you can drive to Key Wes. You know what
I'm saying. You don't have to necessarily fly. It's not
like we're doing extremely expensive things, to be honest, So

(36:42):
I think if you budget, you know, it's not like
we're doing luxurious things and going to the Maldives and
you know, staying at the Four Seasons. It's very budget
friendly stuff. Yeah, and I think that was the point
of the show. They wanted to make everybody feel like, Okay,
I can come here and I don't have to spend
a lot of money to have a good time.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
Guy was flying, y'all. I still want to go to
those destinations.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Yeah, but I probably would have something different. Beautiful Key
West is one of them a little ducked up. I
remember it is taking the Key West before. I wasn't
through out by cocoa botter.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Yes, but that that's usually the older gentleman.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Yes, it's a very like quiet town. You can definitely
sneak off there with the old I had never been
the Key Waste before. That was my first time.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
It was you know, water blue, waters blue. That's a
fat little too.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Confused.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
So I just told them that when the older guys
performed filatio, they don't really know the congo lings kind
of when when they're doing that, they say little because
they don't have teef anymore. You know, they're trying to
figure out where it is the one with glasses, you
know when they slip down on the nose and they say.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
A lot of it's gonna.

Speaker 6 (38:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
In the Four Cities, y'all went to Which one did
you like the best?

Speaker 2 (38:19):
And why?

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Mexico CD.

Speaker 12 (38:21):
Because it was just so nice.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
I feel like it's so many black expats that are
moving there from the United States, so it's a lot
of black people out there. We went to a R
and B night while we were out there, we went
to a Black Vegan restaurant. It reminded me a lot
of the United States, but just in Mexico cine. I
feel like, out of everywhere that we win, that was
my favorite place. I'm not gonna lie. I keep saying
that Charleston surprised me to like that. I've never been

(38:44):
to Charleston, and I have a really close friend of
mine that lives out there, and he's been trying to
get me to come out there forever. And I was like,
what is in Charleston, Like isn't better dance? Like I
was like, I'm not trying dance, but I was so surprised,
Like people be taking the nice boats out, the food
is good. I had a ball in Charleston, Like I'm

(39:06):
actually playing a trip to go back to beautiful.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Yeah home, Mexico City is nice.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Yeah, it's a lot of people moving there, yet my
husband's family is from there. Really. Yeah, that's right period.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Okay, y'all both like to travel already.

Speaker 13 (39:25):
Yeah yeah, yeah, and we already traveled together a lot anyway,
so we felt like that's why it was the perfect
show for it.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Y'all get tired of each other at all, Like, you
know what, you go your way, I'll go walk my way.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
Absolutely. Wow, we're neighbors.

Speaker 12 (39:42):
We literally live in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
I live in a building right here, and her building
is right here, and the unit that I used to
live in. She could see my apartment from the mood,
so she would be like waving me from the pool.
No shed, I followed her. I saw the build to
build ourselves in the move right next door to my
sweetie pool that.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Y'all get tired, sugar.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
You know what's crazy? I think when we were younger
and the show first started, we didn't have any direction.
We didn't know what we wanted to do. We're going
through growing pains. But now it's like she's thirty four,
I'm thirty five. We've grown women. Yeah, we don't have
anything to fight about. And honestly, I think it's so
crazy when people have podcasts. They make so much money
and they be arguing. You know what, we have so

(40:31):
much fun, like to be able to travel the world
with your best friend and have a business. It's great.
It's fun. How was it when y'all get in relationships?

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Though?

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Oh, I feel like we do a really good job
of still keeping the balance of our friendship and still
being in a relationship, Like we always find the time
to hang with each other, to go to dinner, to
talk on the phone. As crazy as it is because
the podcast we do talk about dating a lot, we
are really not male centered women and a lot of
people think that because we talk about dating so much

(40:59):
on the show, but we really not like we like
to be. Like last year we went to Turks for
her birthday. We wasn't inviting them. We went to Miami
one year for my birthday. Like, we just go on
trips by ourself. We're not like, oh, our boyfriends have
to come, or if we go to dinner, it's not like, oh,
bring your man, it's.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
None of that, none of the Yeah, so y'all still
you know you know you.

Speaker 6 (41:23):
Right now?

Speaker 1 (41:23):
Like place, we gonna see what happens. It's complicated, Yeah,
which is crazy, right because I feel like it happened
simultaneously at the same time for both of us. We
started kind of going through a transition and a break
up at the same time. But it's not like in

(41:43):
the bad space. Oh yeah, it's not like we're cool.
It's cool. We're figuring it out type situation, stuck each
other up, Like girl leaving, I'm gonna leave them if
you leave him, or if you know what I'm saying,
you know what's crazy. No, I'm really like that friend
where when she calls me and she talks to me
about what's going on in her relationship and stuff, I'm
just always like, okay, girl, well you know, do what

(42:04):
you want to do. I try to be supportive of
what she want to do, as long as it's not
a physically violent situation or something that you need to
leave the abusive or anything like that. I try to
be supportive of my friends.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
And I get it.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
When you love somebody, you want to stay with your man.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
It's hard.

Speaker 11 (42:18):
All here, y'all all.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
Men, y'all, all married, y'all, y'all, No, she's men. I
don't know, and I don't know why.

Speaker 9 (42:33):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
You was just in love last year.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
I still ever loved much in love. Like I said,
it's just a situation. We're figuring it out. I don't
you know, but I think we're both so focused on
our careers right now. And I know it sounds so cliche,
but I'm just a person. He's an amazing guy. If
we're meant to be together, we're gonna be together. So
I'm just not putting pressure on it, you know what
I mean. So it's cool.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
We're gonna figure it out.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
You know.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
We're still kicking it with a whole support. Mind's podcast
lexp and Drea and the Cole. They have a new
show on BT coll Travel Queen Charlamagne.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
What have y'all learned about y'allselves from doing the podcast?

Speaker 13 (43:09):
For me, I would say transparency and vulnerability is healing.
When I first started doing the show, I think that
I always have kind of had more of a closed
off personality. I've always been a little bit more private
than like She's always been like an open book on
the show. And I never used to want to talk
about things that I was going through because I felt
like it was a sign of weakness.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
And I've just always had this thing where I don't
want people to look at me like, you know, I'm weak,
go whatever. So I think that now I'm in a
space where I enjoy telling my story. I enjoy telling
people the things that I'm going through because I feel
like it can help other people get through this through
similar things or you know, just being transparent to me
is just very important at this point in my life.

(43:52):
Because I don't know, I just want to be I
don't want to get emotional. I don't want to get
emotional a little bit. But like I lost my dad
and it was something that was thank you. It was
something that was really really hard for me to talk
about on the show. But I wish that back then
I had the same mindset because I feel like I
was dealing with so much by myself, and when I
started talking about it on the show, it was just

(44:14):
so many people in such an outpouring of love, people
saying I've been through the same thing. I can understand
where you're coming from. So that's what I've learned over
the years about myself. I think that I really enjoy
now telling people what I'm going through instead of just
feeling like I have to go through everything by myself.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
I think with me, I'm.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
Such like a loud personality, and I think a lot
of times I would try to hide that from people,
and I just embrace who I am, Like I'm not
the sexy girl that's doing all this, like I'm a tomboy.
I like to be loud, have fun. So I really
got confidence about myself because I'm like, this is who
I am. I think for when I first started, like

(44:53):
being on social media, I was like doing the bikini
pick yeah, paus and bottle point. I'm like, girl, this
is not you at all. So I've really been able
to embrace myself and be like, you know what, you'd
allow homegirl, and that's okay, Like you don't have to
fit into this box of what you think that a
woman is supposed to because people always love to say,
because I know you hear this a lot, they'd be like, oh,

(45:13):
funny women aren't pretty, or you have to either you
funny or you're pretty. You can't be both, you know
what I'm saying. So I feel like I used to
try to lean into being the pretty girl, and then
I would try to lean to be the funny girl.
And I'm like, you know what, I don't have to
be in anybody's box. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
So you've always been sexy, you just don't give off
sex like you said, like, you're just not prissy, You're

(45:34):
just yeah. Well we talked about this on the show.
There's a difference between like having sex appeal and like
being attractive, Like Drea just is like sexy, you know what,
I'm saying. She's walking around, She's like, hey, oh yeah,
you know. You know, like I said, I just think
like being sex really much sex appeal is something that's

(45:56):
just inside, yes, and I just think like that's not
a part of my personality. But that's okay, it's not
I'm not saying I'm unattractive. I'm a patty uncle. You
feel me, you know what I'm saying. So I just
think that I've been more comfortable like being in my
skin and who I am.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
For sure.

Speaker 4 (46:12):
Growing out loud is hard, yeah, you know, and that's
what you'll been doing in the last seven years on
that podcast, like.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
Going through everything like she said, we she lost her dad,
I lost my mom, going through breakups and then it's like,
you know, we'd be like, oh, we in love and
then the next month were talking about a different dude.
Every're like, oh, my daddy.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
Doing the same thing.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
It's about you, you know, and people not in your business.
So's I think, yeah, going through relationships and growing pains.
And I've always been honest about my financial status too,
because I always said when I moved to Atlanta, I
had three dollars because I did like I wasn't lying.
So I think it's important to be transparent, especially as

(46:57):
a black woman in this industry. I feel like we
always try to hidew with we making because I'm like, oh,
this company signed up for your ass. How much they
pay you? Because it's how much they pay us. Let's
make sure that they not you know what I'm saying.
So I think that with the platform that we have,
it's like, yeah, we've grown in front of the camera.
But like she said, being open and vulnerable has helped
us one thousand percent for you know, it's really fun time.

(47:20):
So that was my second time going to Columbia, my
first time going to Cardina because the first Columbia country.

Speaker 12 (47:29):
Now you know, you said that to me, I was
in Colombia.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
You are.

Speaker 1 (47:38):
Pure why I am weed? So yeah, but I mean
funny enough. I think that's what people think of though.
When you think to Columbia, you think of the cartel
and stuff, because like I said, I went to Medine
a few years ago to get my teeth done and
I was scared to leave from the area where my
hotel was and where crazy. I mean, I was just
nervous to travel around because that's what you hear about Columbia.

(48:01):
So when we went to Carlina, I had a really
really good time. And then especially with us going to Polink,
which is the first free black city in the Americas,
it was just so you know that it's Afro Latinos
in a lot of these countries. But when I say,
when we were in Pelink, we felt like we were
somewhere in Ghana in Nigeria, like these people look like
our cousins, our family members. It was just amazing being

(48:22):
there and being submerged in the culture. Are you always
to get your gne because it was shapeer? I think
here was like thirty thousand. You know, I'm getting a
little money, but trying to say you could have done.
They're just all the same size, like the extra largest
for the mediums or get for the whole world.

Speaker 12 (48:46):
Where they get the top done and don't get the
bottom do.

Speaker 1 (48:48):
And it's like, come on, you gets a texture like
I think that's why my teeth looks so natural because
he made like the texture.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
And how to men treat y'a when they see y'all
from outside of which we are usually outside of Atlanta,
what do you mean?

Speaker 2 (49:03):
What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Because Atlanta, you know they see beautiful women. Sometimes they
might not see that in Colombia.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Like DJF you said Columbia got ugly women headline.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
If you said, you know, usually when you go out
the country and they see American women, they treat American
women differently because they don't usually see American women like that.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
Honestly, I'm not gonna lie. I feel like whenever we
go anywhere, I really can't tell the difference because I
feel like everywhere we go we kind of draw attension.
I know that sounds bad, but it's like everywhere we
go we're used to people like we're like, oh my god,
I know y'all from the pod saying hey. And then
when we were in Colombia, it's a little different because
we had cameras around us, so of course people are

(49:45):
like looking and saying stuff and being So it's kind
of hard to tell the difference between, you know, people,
how they treat us outside of Atlanta versus anywhere, because
I feel like everywhere we go now people kind of
recognize us, so it's not really like we're getting treated
differently per se.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
That makes it when you.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Said they you were scared of how they were gonna
edit y'all and make y'all look were y'all allowed to
be in the room during the edenterprocess. So you just
like the y'all trusted them, and you just like the
way they ended up editing the episode. Yeah, we didn't
know anything, girl, We've seen everything when everybody else seen
we didn't know how they were still watching it. We
was on the plane last night watching an episode the

(50:21):
first time. So are y'all nervous for every episode that?

Speaker 7 (50:24):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (50:25):
Well, I'm not nervous now. I was nervous of how
my body was gonna look because I just lost thirty pounds. Okay, okay,
So I when we shot, I weighed like two oh five.
So I was so nervous. I kept saying, oh my gosh,
I hope because I have like a little belly on me.
So whenever I gain weight, like you can always tend
to think I'm pregnant. They be like, let's pregnant. I'm like,

(50:47):
oh my god, can I just have a little shot
at tequila?

Speaker 2 (50:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (50:50):
I had a little you know.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
So I was really more so nervous about my body
after I saw the first episode.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
But I was like, okay, body tea good Columbia pure
coke or you said what?

Speaker 12 (51:05):
Oh no, Honestly, I used to be a girl.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
I used to do everything under the sun. You know
the first time I went to Columbia's for my bb
so y'all talking about y'all know Columbia for the coke.
I know Columbia for them good doctors. But I just
did a natural this time. I was doing a lot
of cardio, eating healthy. You know, I feel like and
I feel better now. I think I'm getting older and
I'm just all the I'm not dissing people who do

(51:28):
take other routes, but I just had to do it
for him. It was at the OMPIC. I don't like needles.
I couldn't do that to myself. But no, no one's infic.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
We're still kicking it with the host of Poor Mind's podcast,
Lex p Andre and the Cold. Now I need some advice.
I have a single friend. She has a closet full
of wigs.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Curly make sure you say terrible wigs.

Speaker 1 (51:50):
Oh you know who the friend is?

Speaker 2 (51:52):
I do sadly.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
She has a bunch of wigs.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
Curly one day is straight, different colors.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
She's she's funny, she's smart, she switches up her wigs
like like a Netflix series. But when it comes to dating,
she doesn't seem like she can find the right guy.
She doesn't know if guys get intimidated or if they
just confused. How would you suggest she meets somebody to
secure a relationship because time is running out and so
her wigs?

Speaker 1 (52:20):
But why did you include the stuff about the wigs?
You think the wig might be the reason why she
can't find the men.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
Ian think about it, just thinks that.

Speaker 4 (52:28):
I'm sure that y'all felt like y'all had to change
about yourselves a little bit and it probably made them,
you know, debate a little stronger for the fish.

Speaker 1 (52:34):
Okay, well, you know what kind of men are she
is she trying to date? Because you know, they say
they like bad weeds, the white They love a crunching
crunches stale.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
I could not keep the Brits off of me. They do.

Speaker 12 (52:58):
But we were actually just having conversation.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
We was literally just talking about this. They don't they
They have that same hard wig, soft life.

Speaker 3 (53:16):
Maybe she should look a different pool.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
She's in the wrong pool. She might be in the
wrong pool one. But I will say we were just
telling our producer this and I was saying, like, when
you get your look together and you feel confident in yourself,
it doesn't even matter. Like whatever makes you feel good,
you're gonna attract the right person. I enjoy being polished.
I used to have a stiff wig or two. You
still not one of them. She does. She does, but

(53:40):
I called her. I said, well she wins her first
em Me. I'm gonna put it on eBay to collectors
item and it still has the scruncheet on it and everything.
It's in a tail I got.

Speaker 4 (53:52):
Won't have to open on the phone at some point.
But I don't believe that. I've never heard the white
men like And you said stiff wig.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Yeah, who told you this?

Speaker 1 (54:04):
I lived it, lived it.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
I'm serious.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
If you go look on TikTok right now and type
hard week, soft life, you're gonna see nothing but interracial couples.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
So why didn't you stick with the white man? Because
I wanted a man.

Speaker 1 (54:18):
I wanted a hard life, but a hard man.

Speaker 2 (54:23):
Alight struggle with my.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
Struggle. She wanted to struggle with the raw.

Speaker 2 (54:34):
Doctor Lamar influenced you to dump that white man.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
You know what people hate when I say this, I
love doctor.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
It's no funny.

Speaker 12 (54:47):
First of all, they're talking about me talking about.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
I got a bad we can't find a man. First about.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
It's so nice to meet he looks beautiful, boy hard
wi Will Halloween?

Speaker 2 (55:06):
What what did you talking about? Talking about you?

Speaker 13 (55:08):
Hear talking about in that sac First of all, the
sad thing that will normally comes from over here, but
you and your.

Speaker 12 (55:15):
Sad song all over the spinning around looking at me.

Speaker 2 (55:17):
Nobody talking about job.

Speaker 1 (55:19):
Just come in here, lets you know, so it's close
to my.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
Well talk about.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
And I love the show.

Speaker 13 (55:35):
I think that y'all looks so pretty on the show.
I've watched all three episodes. Wasn't about you kept turning
around to me. We got cameras all in the studio.
We're gonna run the tad. My god, that's next talking
about heart. We talking about that hard die that's dried
over there. Yeah, I think your wig is beautiful to
I like it.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
I love the ball.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
I was going to ask you how do y'all balance
like turning up for the show because you still got
to perform, right because it's still a TV show, but
then being present for the moments that you're experiencing, like
those cultural moments in No City.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
You know what's crazy. We didn't really drink that much,
but honestly, we stopped drinking a lot on Poor Minds
because it was like some cringy episodes and we just like,
oh my god, it was the Houston Live show.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
Changed. It was so.

Speaker 1 (56:26):
Embarrassing because we recorded the show and then we went
back and watched it when we got back to Atlanta
and it was just so cringey. We was on stage like, yeah, Lex,
let's turn up a two shot minimum before we go
on stage, and then we'll have like a drink on stage,
but we have one drink go on stage, and that's it.
Once we're done with that drink, you're done. Yeah, that

(56:47):
first Houston show, we drunk that whole Yeah, because we
was turning. I'm always it was always a little nervous
as to turn up. I didn't realize I was getting
so drunk.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
So so with the long term vision for the show,
more seasons.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
Yeah, it's we're hoping it's gonna get picked up for
a second season. I think we should probably know that
within like the next two weeks or so. So obviously
we wanted to get picked up, and as far as
Poor Minds. We want Poor Minds to get picked up
as a TV show as well. Yeah, that's on our
bucket leads. Yeah for sure. I think like with Travel Queens,
I definitely wanted to be a lot more seasons. I
feel like we should do like a whole season like

(57:28):
in Africa, a whole season in Europe. So that's what
we're holding. That'll that it'll grow to. And you know,
same thing with Poor Minds. I could see Poor Minds
living on like you know, maybe like a streaming app
or something that you know, outside of YouTube. I think
we're ready to make that transition with Poor Minds as well.
And yeah, yeah for sure, and more hosting opportunities for
the both of us and individually. She still has her

(57:49):
cosmetics line that's doing really well, so her just growing
in the beauty industry. I have started my YouTube channel
love Lexp, so I'm just doing like hot topics show
review us because that's the line. I want to get
into more hosting as well. So yeah, we just have
so much stuff to do. And I feel like now
that we've made that step into TV, it's like, you know,
people can actually see what we can do now, you know,

(58:12):
make up, I was already on the Shop Music Beauty
Collection dot com. Make sure you get your lip glosses,
Matt Liquid Lipsticks, lip liners. I also just branched into
other cosmetics products, so now I have some jelly blushes.
I have Mesira and eyeliner collection.

Speaker 2 (58:32):
We'll check out travel Queens on b e T. Thank
you for joining us so much. Subscribe to the Poor
Mind podcast.

Speaker 4 (58:38):
Yes, big love for Lexip andre'all.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
It's the Breakfast Warning everybody. We are the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 3 (58:46):
Let's get to the latest.

Speaker 2 (58:47):
Laura warn be coming the street fast. She gets them.
Somebody that knows somebody detail.

Speaker 1 (58:54):
I'm not gonna girl that knows a little bit about
everything to.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Be having the latest on the la The Latest with
Lauren la Rosa. Sometimes you have facts, sometimes you have details.
Sometimes you have a little bit every time on the
Breakfast Clouds.

Speaker 12 (59:09):
All right, y'all.

Speaker 13 (59:10):
So yesterday there was a report that came out it
wasn't confirmed that Tory Lanes had been stabbed up while
in prison. I was able to confirm that it did happen,
and what I was told in the beginning, it was
really really scary.

Speaker 12 (59:23):
I was told that he was stabbed A lot of times.

Speaker 13 (59:26):
That he was air lifted to a hospital, and then
they came out with a statement to clarify that he
was stabbed fourteen times, including seven wounds to his back,
four to his torso, two to the back of his head,
and one to the left side of his face. Both
of his lungs collapsed and he was placed on a
breathing apparatus. He is now breathing on his own despite

(59:46):
being in pain. He is talking normally, in good spirits
and deeply thankful to God that he is pulling through.
He also wants to thank everyone for the continued prayers
and support. Wow, I did ask what happened, like what
were anea more you know context here, like how or
why did this happen? And I haven't gotten answer to
that yet. But when I first heard this, I literally
came out of court. My phone was going crazy. I

(01:00:07):
was told like it was a situation where if he survives,
he should be really thankful to God, and that was
the first thing he said.

Speaker 12 (01:00:12):
It's like, no, he's entirely thankful. So he is, you know,
currently recovering.

Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
And when it actually happened, nobody was able to understand
what happened because they didn't let anybody in the hospital
but his father, and his father had to get there,
so his lawyers weren't able to go in there. Nobody
was able to go in there but his dad, so
they were waiting for his dad to get there.

Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
Why isn't he in protective custody anyway? Though? Why why
is he in general population?

Speaker 13 (01:00:34):
I have so many questions that are unanswered that hopefully
I'll be able to answer soon because I don't know
what is happening.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
And most people don't want to go to PC because
if you go to PC, you're stuck. You can't go
watch television, you can't go out and about, you can't
work out, So most people should want to be out.

Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
But I would still think if you were in general
population and you got ten years because he is coming home,
I would still think that the prison would have somebody
that monitors him.

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Even in general population.

Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
Yeah, just because of who he Why didn't have that
many offices just the mondor to one person.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
That they treating people of a certain status general pop?

Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
You in general pop? Did you you in there with
everybody else?

Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (01:01:08):
I don't know why.

Speaker 13 (01:01:09):
I can't answer a lot of those questions because when
I asked yesterday. I think that they were just they
wanted to. For a while, people didn't even know if
he was okay, so they just wanted to get to
their first and then they were like, you know, we'll
keep you updated.

Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
If you're a higher profile person that's only got ten
years somebody in there doing life, they still hearing about
you putting out music and stuff in the screens. That's
just jealousy and envy.

Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
But any and hate will make you do something like that.
Any little celebrity, any rapper, any athlete, anybody that ever
gets locked up, they say they never want to stay
in PC because they want to go outside, they want
to watch TV, they want to work out.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
It's like being stuck in the box all the time.
So they always asked to leave that.

Speaker 13 (01:01:44):
Well, I'm not gonna hold y'all though, Like I mean,
I know jail isn't all good, But from the last
time I talked to his team, it seemed like he
was doing a lot of positive things in there, Like
he was like helping to raise money, always.

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Back in front of judges and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
What I got to do with other people, It's just.

Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 13 (01:02:01):
And remember there was a story about him like, uh,
bring doing like the prayer circles with the prisoner. So
I thought maybe he was like faring well with the
other prisoners in there.

Speaker 4 (01:02:09):
One person up and it might be somebody in there
who uh heard about what he's in there for, right,
might be a Makan.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
The stallion man. Yeah, you never know. I'm just saying
there's a lot of different variables that can.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Happen, Danielle.

Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
I ain't saying that these people did it, but you know,
the Mexicans, the Mexicans, they be real quick.

Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
With the Mexicans, your family, them Mexicans, your family, the
whole one.

Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
Information and something no no, no, no, no, no no no,
the in prison Mexican sitting here like yes, you had
a whole inside source and you never know. You said
the Mexicans, like that's the the Mexicans day when they
in that day.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
No my my Mexican.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Yeah, real quick.

Speaker 13 (01:02:56):
And wrapping up more positive news, Cardi b and Stephanie
Digs had popped out.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
It was a hard launch.

Speaker 13 (01:03:02):
It wasn't even a soft launch. Okay, they popped out yesterday.
They were at the Boston Celtic's Boston Celtic Boston in
the next game yesterday and Masion Square Garden sitting front
road court side.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
They walked that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
She looked adorable.

Speaker 13 (01:03:18):
It was so cute at the picture of the I'm
sitting on court side, like uh they were holding hands
and like there was two phones like on the floor.

Speaker 12 (01:03:24):
It was like, okay, no phones, it's date night.

Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
I was like, yes, moving on way love that it's given.

Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
She was sitting right next to Kendle Jenna And who's
that bad bunny that yeah, yes, yeah, shout out to Caudi.
I love a good move on. Wow, amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
Moving Yes, Jesus, yes, who you're doing?

Speaker 4 (01:03:52):
I don't too for after the hour a young woman
that just is very familiar with summers from baddiess Africa.

Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
I don't know, no, damn.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Some of from the asked you about this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:04:01):
You told me.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
She needs to come to the front of the congregation.
We'd like to have a word with her.

Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
Okay, okay, all right, we'll get to that. Next to
Breakfast Off, good morning.

Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
You're checking out the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 9 (01:04:13):
I just wanted to know how you came up with them.
Don't hear the name.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Because you're mean. There's a bunch of donkeys out street.

Speaker 4 (01:04:24):
That is why Charlemagne, we live a life where weight
are tongue based off who he lay a thing.

Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
We never was saying anything.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
On the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
In the words of charlamagnea god, he's a donkey.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Ah Man, Charlamagne, you've given donkey a day.

Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
To who now well busted rhymes Donkey today for Tuesday,
May thirteenth goes this summer from Baddie's Africa. Respectfully, I
have never heard of this woman all this show in
my life. I asked Jess Hilarious this morning, what is
Baddie's Africa? And Es explained it to me, wh as
you say.

Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
I did not, Yes you did.

Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Baddies is just baddies. They just over in Africa. They
took the Shenanigans over there and still fighting over dumb stubs,
all the bitch the same bitches.

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
So it's no Africans.

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
No, ain't no Africans on the show.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
They're just doing it in Africa. Yes, okay, what and
it's on zeus.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Yes, you know all the answers to all the questions
you ask.

Speaker 4 (01:05:20):
Him, well, because that's because I asked you earlier. Now
I still don't know what's going on? But I saw
that a young woman on the show named Summer issued
an apology for something she said on the show, and
I just thought it would be a great moment to teach. Okay,
let me read the headline, Summer issues an apology for
recent controversial Emmit Tell comments.

Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
Let's listen to the comments.

Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
You gonna always miss betcha, what's.

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
Your gonna be like?

Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
Nit Till?

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Damn? Oh, Summer, you didn't learn from Lilla Wayne.

Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Maybe you're too young to remember, but Lil Wayne back
in twenty thirteen, he had a line where he said
beat that poom puhm up like Emmet Tel, and people
got pissed rightfully. So if you don't know who Emmettel
is this, I would encourage you to watch the movie Tell,
which came out in twenty twenty two, Simple and playing.
Mmet Tel was murdered in nineteen fifty five for allegedly
flirting with a white woman. Her name was Carolyn Bryan Dunham.

(01:06:11):
She accused Hill of whistling at her and making unwanted advances,
and claimed Till grabbed her and made low comments. Later,
she reportedly admitted the claims were false. Okay, a lie
look Somema, I don't know you. I respect your apology
because she did apologize already, and in her apology she
said that I what did she said? She said she

(01:06:32):
is committed to learning and growing. She said a whole
lot of other stuff, but I really want to hone
in on that part. She said, she is committed to
learning and growing from this experience. That's all we get
to ask the people. And I know some folks don't
feel like they should have to teach people about certain things,
and I disagree because everyone doesn't know. So I'm going
to give you three reasons people should never make jokes
about the m mat Tel situation.

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:06:53):
Number one, it's the symbol of racial terror and injustice.
It was a brutal ack of white supremacy that helped
ignite the civil rights movement. We wouldn't enjoy the freedoms
we have now without that movement summer. So when you
joke about a situation like that, you trivialize the pain
and trauma inflicted on us black Americans. Number two, it
disrespects the family and legacy of Mammy Tail. Okay, Mammy

(01:07:16):
Tail had an open casket funeral. To show the world
what racism and white supremacy had done to her son.
When you make fun of how he looked, you know,
you make light of the gravity of her choice.

Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
Once again.

Speaker 4 (01:07:29):
That choice sparked the civil rights movement, which enables us
to enjoy certain freedoms. In liberties number three, it fuels desensitization.
We already desensitized enough. We can't joke about extreme suffering
because when we do that, it normalizes violence and makes
people not have empathy. When you laugh at atrocities like
m Mattel, then it becomes easier to ignore them and

(01:07:51):
repeat them.

Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
Black pain and trauma is not a joke. Okay, those
are my three reasons.

Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
I don't know if this is true or not, Jess,
you could tell me. But on the end Internet they
say someone, don't wash your ass.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
That's what they're saying up and down the car man
she dirty?

Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
What you mean? Don't on baby Shower. I don't watch
the show, so I don't know. Ye I thought they
said it. Have you ever seen that on the show?

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
No, I never seen nobody, not bathe. I don't watch
the show.

Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
My little sister does. I don't believe you, Okay, I
saw a post on social media.

Speaker 4 (01:08:22):
Okay me or just don't watch the show allegedly, So
I don't know if this is true, on whether or
not you babe or not somemer. All I know is
you can't be dirty physically and mentally. Okay, you got
to pick a struggle. So if you don't wash your ass.
In the words of a great Black philosopher, DG. Yola,
you gotta get yourself together and at least go give

(01:08:43):
your brain a bath. Okay, go to church, start listening,
and get on the right path. Summer Emmitt Till was
fourteen years old when he was murdered over a lie.
We can't be so morally bankrupt as a people that
we on reality TV making jokes about Emmitt Tell because
folks already think women on reality TV shows like the

(01:09:04):
one you are on are morally bankrupt. So don't prove
them right. Please give someone from Baddie's Africa the biggest
he hull.

Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
All right, you can't, as I'm someone don't take a bath.

Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
I'm like Walker.

Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
I heard him say that too, and I thought that
was the second time after I already asked you, I said,
who is Summer from Baddi's Africa and you went in.
You was like, oh my god, that show is nobody
on that show is actually African. They auditioned a bunch
of people from Africa, but didn't choose.

Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
One of them.

Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
Yeah, all came from my little sister who watches the show.
I watched Justin's Cabrain. I do not watch babies. Was
that I was doing? That's where you got your head, Jesus, No,
I was on Justin's Cabaret. Oh yeah, I host the reunion.

(01:10:02):
I used to watch Betties when Krashwan was on it,
and I watched a little bit when Siki came, but
then I just stopped. That's sister, But there it's no
they fight for no reason. Like it's no reason, no,
nothing like everybody just went around screaming fighting.

Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
Where you watch it, that's the reason why.

Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
And what was the context of that clip? Did they
had did somebody get beat up? Did that watch she
said that?

Speaker 3 (01:10:25):
Okay, okay, all right, well thank you for that donkey today.
Now this next topic is really intriguing to Charlomagne. He
heard it was a TikTok train and he was very intriguing.

Speaker 4 (01:10:36):
From Lex p Andre, they was up here from the
Poor Minds podcast, and you know they got the new
show on BT Travel Queens and Lex said something that
I had never heard before, but of course apparently it's
a trend on TikTok.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
Do you have the clip?

Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
You know they say they like bed weed the white
they love a crunching, crunching stale. They have that same
hard wigs soft life.

Speaker 13 (01:11:06):
I got.

Speaker 4 (01:11:10):
We won't have to open on the phone at some point,
but I don't believe that I've never heard the white
men like they do.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
And you said stiff wig, hard light? Who told you this?
I'm serious.

Speaker 1 (01:11:22):
If you go look on TikTok right now and type
hardwig soft life, you're gonna see nothing but interracial.

Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
Couples, white men, Okay, all the white allies that listen
to the Breakfast Club, Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
I need to know if this is true.

Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
Do y'all like crunchy, stiff, stale wigs. It's hard wigs,
soft life a thing that can't be. He's just botched
on TikTok making up stuff. I can smell that right now,
like it just and I had.

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
Little little share of white men, and I ain't I
ain't never telling me they wanted.

Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
No, no little bad wig were you wearing back then?

Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
Was a country a.

Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Little bit, but I did have some good ones like
I didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
I wasn't just weighing them for them.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
But there might be something to it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
Then that might be what is the question we're asking here?

Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
White men? Do you like crunchy stiff sail wigs?

Speaker 1 (01:12:08):
It depends on the white man though, because I was
thinking like the chantatum, like the chanon tatumes. But if
it's like a white Wall Street guy, I know they
probably they look they like to look at the black woman,
look like she's struggling so he can take care of her.

Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
M yeah, okay, well reach out and touch us right now,
white men, okay, we want to hear from you.

Speaker 1 (01:12:30):
I do not want to be reached out and touched
by no white man. What are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (01:12:34):
Do you like crunchy, stiff, stale wigs? You get one
long braid? You got one long braid? Now you don't
want to be touched by man? Okay, doctor okay.

Speaker 3 (01:12:43):
Drink five eight five one. White men out there, do
you like crunchy wigs?

Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
Okay? The tallest hard wigs. Soft life is that showed
the smart it's the breakfast s logan. Woman, I can
never breakfast club.

Speaker 8 (01:13:04):
It's topic time called eight hundred five five five one
to join into the discussion.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
With the breakfast club morning everybody. It's the j en
Vy Jess hilarious.

Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
Charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club now if
he's just joining us A topic that uh, I guess
intrigued Charlemagne this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
Yes, it was very intriguing.

Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
We had the young ladies from the Poor Minds podcast
on the last hour, Lex p Andrea, and they put
me onto something that I had never heard of.

Speaker 11 (01:13:34):
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
They said it's called the hard Wig soft life trend
on TikTok and they said that there is white men
out there who love black women with crunchy, stiff, stale wigs.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
We have to clip, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
They say they like bad weeds. The white they love
a crunching, the crunching, stale we they have that saying
hard Wig soft life.

Speaker 4 (01:14:06):
I I got we won't have to over on the
phones at some point, but I don't believe that I've
never heard the white men like.

Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
You said stiff Wig hard light, who told you this?
I'm serious?

Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
If you gonna look on TikTok right now and type
hardwig soft life. You're gonna see nothing but interracial couples.

Speaker 3 (01:14:28):
All right, Well, there's a lot of men on the line.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Really hello, you know if you know the vobs of
mellow white men, mellow, mellow.

Speaker 6 (01:14:38):
I understand that, understand me.

Speaker 11 (01:14:41):
I want to talk to and I never did ancestry,
so technically do we know if I'm all the way?

Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Oh god, mellow, you're messing up my mellow mellow.

Speaker 6 (01:14:50):
Listen.

Speaker 11 (01:14:51):
All I'm gonna say is this id with a stiff
wig before and if my ego hadn't gotten the way
she actually treated me right maybe because you know what
I mean, she don't know how to. And honestly, the
reason why white men like it is because the only
thing white people could better than black people is they
white like up. Tell fox, feel like if a look
like a pair of white uptown by white.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
Person, have a good day, mail, good bye, mellow. I
want to talk to all Caucasian listeners this morning, D,
Good morning, D, go morning, good morning, yo yo yo yo.
All right, that's why cook it. He's definitely white. What's up? D?

Speaker 9 (01:15:23):
I am of the Caucasian persuasion. I just want to say,
these beautiful ladies.

Speaker 6 (01:15:27):
Are spitting facts.

Speaker 9 (01:15:28):
The harder the wag, the softer of the booty.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Man, that's a fact. When did you realize that it
was the hard wig was your thing?

Speaker 4 (01:15:36):
Ah?

Speaker 10 (01:15:36):
Like twenty six, twenty seven, Man, about a half a
decade ago.

Speaker 6 (01:15:39):
These sisters got it going on.

Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
Man, you know what I'm saying. So you don't even
try to help them upgrade their wig game. You just
stick with the stish.

Speaker 10 (01:15:47):
I got to upgrade them.

Speaker 9 (01:15:48):
I'm a compliment to them.

Speaker 10 (01:15:49):
I should have been upgrade and I should be there
to be a compliment to the situation.

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
You know it. Don't never feel like a helmet when
y'all kiss you ain't never cut your cheek. Jesus horrible.

Speaker 6 (01:15:58):
Hey, listen, safety for you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
Okay, thank you? Wow?

Speaker 3 (01:16:04):
Hello? Who's this?

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):

Speaker 3 (01:16:08):

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):

Speaker 9 (01:16:09):

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):

Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
I like that. I like that, Kevin. Thank you all.
Right there you going, So we got one for one. Josh,
come ony, Hey, what's up man? Josh? You white?

Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
Of course he is, Josh, Yeah, I'm white man.

Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
What's up, Josh? What do you call it from? Okay,
so tell me is this a thing? Do white men
really like crunchy, stiff, stale wigs so dumb?

Speaker 1 (01:16:47):
Hell?

Speaker 6 (01:16:47):

Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
Are you white?

Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
Black? Okay? So your husband prefers natural hair? Correct? Yeah,
nobody okay, don't.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Know why, but some people might say nobody want no
dry white man. Doctor Wumar would say.

Speaker 6 (01:17:47):

Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
I want to actually talk to our white listeners. And
so far we have one yes, three no's. White men
do not like crunchy, stiff, stale wigs. I told you
it depends on the guy. It depends on the white guy.

Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
Well, we need some nose to call up here. They

Speaker 3 (01:18:50):
Morning, everybody. It's DJ en Vy, Jess Hilarious, Charlomagne the guy.
We are the Breakfast Club. If you're just joining us,
we're having a question about wigs. Yes, we're asking white
men out there, white listeners, our white allies, do you
enjoy women black women with crunchy wikes.

Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
And this came from The Poor Mind's podcast.

Speaker 4 (01:19:06):
They was up here last hour promoting their new show
on BT Travel Queens and a lex Andrea was saying
that white men like crunchy, stiff stale wigs. Apparently on TikTok.
There's something on TikTok that says soft wig, no hard wigs.

Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
She has to be excused. You can be excused. You
better stop drinking that green juice if you're gonna run
through you like that. Oh, it came out.

Speaker 3 (01:19:29):
It came out.

Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Listen. So we're asking the question do white men actually

Speaker 6 (01:20:14):
I don't like I have a friend a night and
she just started wearing the track, things like it's a
little piece of stick up here, like I don't know
how it doesn't sit her hair, her hair straight?

Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
Okay, I mean you know you said you're my white Yes,
she is, Okay, thank you, Mike.

Speaker 4 (01:20:36):
All I'm realizing right now is TikTok is a liar. Well,
we all won one for yes, four for no.

Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
We have John on the line. John, Good morning, John,
Good morning, Good morning, Hey John.

Speaker 2 (01:20:46):
Hi John. Where are you calling from? John? Orlando, Florida?

Speaker 4 (01:20:49):
Oh, very white people down in Orlando. I love Orlando, though,
Uh John, do you like crunchy, stiff, stale wicks.

Speaker 11 (01:20:56):
I don't like it anywhere, but marsru Okay, like in
natural you like black women, Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:21:04):
I do. Okay. Cool, So you want your black you
want your sisters to have natural hair, natural hair?

Speaker 6 (01:21:09):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:21:09):
I do. Okay, all right, lady John, great, great morning.
We've had one yes sauca in five nos. Okay. The
white delegation is speaking Hello. Who's this Hi?

Speaker 1 (01:21:20):
This is Danny.

Speaker 2 (01:21:21):
Danny. We were asking for white men to call, but
we don't know what you identify as.

Speaker 10 (01:21:25):
Oh no, I'm definitely a black female. I just used
to be with the white man.

Speaker 2 (01:21:29):
Okay, did he like crunchy, stiff, stale wigs? Nah?

Speaker 6 (01:21:33):
So okay, so I got locked right.

Speaker 10 (01:21:35):
But he was like the average trailer park white boy.

Speaker 6 (01:21:38):
So they're different. They usually like natural looking black girls.

Speaker 10 (01:21:41):
But the more money they have, the more they want
us to look just to do. They want us to
look like we need them. It's like a slave master
slave type thing. It's a real set like thing, like
it's a fetish. They want us to look bad for
that way.

Speaker 6 (01:21:54):
It is still empowered. It's weird.

Speaker 10 (01:21:56):
It's the thing. And any woman that put them all
like that, it's the concern that because you really don't
like her, he's just it's a.

Speaker 2 (01:22:02):
Pettish damn all right, Okay, thank you very much, Thank
you so much. I'm learning so much this morning. Are
you really yes, let's take one more?

Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
There is no more?

Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
Oh well yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:22:13):
According to our Breakfast Club poll, white men don't like crunchy, stiff,
stale at all.

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Okay. I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
TikTok telling y'all to, you know, telling the poor Mind podcast,
and our producer City was in here talking about that's
the thing too.

Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
I ain't get that from our phone call this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
Not at all.

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Okay, we got one yes and six nose. Now, white
men don't.

Speaker 4 (01:22:32):
Like crunchy, stiff, stale wikes, not at all, at least
calling our data.

Speaker 3 (01:22:36):
That's right, all right, Well, let's get to the latest
with Lauren.

Speaker 1 (01:22:39):
Lauren be kind of a strange man.

Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
She gets them. Somebody that knows somebody gets the detail.

Speaker 12 (01:22:45):
I don't know how guy that knows a little bit
about everything she'd be.

Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
Having the latest on it the law, the latest with
Laura la Rosa.

Speaker 4 (01:22:53):
Sometimes you have fact, sometimes you have details. Sometimes you
have a little bit of everything on the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 13 (01:23:00):
So I was telling y'all earlier in the show that
after being in court yesterday for the opening statements in
the first couple of witness testimonies, I think that Diddy
could potentially get off his legal team.

Speaker 1 (01:23:09):
Is really like that.

Speaker 12 (01:23:10):
Now here's why.

Speaker 13 (01:23:11):
Number one, they were so good about changing the narrative
around this Cassie video. Number two, they painted a good
picture of Diddy being the aggressor, but an aggressor in
already aggressive situation. When it came to like the victim
that is saying that he put her hands he put
his hands on her. So let's talk about the CNN video,
the beating video. So they called the witness to the stand.

(01:23:32):
This guy was one of the heads of security, so
he was like second in commanding security at the Intercontinental
Hotel back in March of twenty sixteen.

Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
So there was only two witnesses yesterday. The one you
talked about earlier, which was the Maile score, is the second.

Speaker 13 (01:23:44):
Okay, So actually the LAPD officer security guard was actually
the first witness, but we talked about him out of order.

Speaker 1 (01:23:49):
But yes, only two.

Speaker 13 (01:23:50):
So this guy was working at the Intercontinental Hotel. He's
a security guy who actually responded when Cassie got on
the phone in the lobby outside of the elevators and
caught for help at the hallway, right. So he got
on the stand and the prosecutors are talking to her first,
so this is the other side. So they're like asking
him to run down what happened. So he said he
got a report of a woman in distress on the

(01:24:10):
sixth floor. He said he came up, and before he
came up, he hadn't seen any of the footage, so
he didn't know that it was like physically violent before that.
But he said he came up and he was talking
to Cassie and Diddy because they're going back and forth,
and he's like, yo, y'all got to take this into
yall room. Y'all can't be out here doing all this,
So he said, as he was trying to get them
back in the room, Cassie kept saying I want to leave,

(01:24:32):
I want to leave. I'm wanna leave, and allegedly Diddy
was like, no, she's not going anywhere. So he said
he had to step in. This is what he's telling prosecutors.
He had to step in and be like, well, if
she wants to leave, we're going to allow her to
get her things to leave, and I'll walk y'all to
the room to do it. So he says, he walks
them to the room, and when he gets to the room,
he's able to see inside and there's a man in
dark clothing sitting on the bed. Which is important, right,

(01:24:54):
And I'm gonna tell y'all why, Because Cassie is alleging
that the whole heard the video that we saw was
her trying to get away from one of those freak
offs situations that she did not want to be a
part of. And because she didn't want to be a
part of everything we saw in that video is what happened.

Speaker 12 (01:25:09):
Now, Diddy's team is.

Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
Saying, matters to the court.

Speaker 13 (01:25:12):
Diddy's team is saying, no, because Frea Cofts aren't weren't
a thing. You guys were consentially engaging sexual acts. But
that's not even what happened here. Diddy's team pointed out
the fact that when he comes back out, like after
he throws the vase and he walks away, he has
a lit up phone in his saying he grabs the
phone out of her hand. They were arguing over allegedly
something that she saw in the phone, that this is
just a very tumultuous, like jealous relationship. Right, So this guy,

(01:25:37):
he's important, This witness is important because he's going to
help you determine which side of that you believe. So
he's running down what he saw. He says he saw
this guy in the room. When he's talking to the prosecutors,
he's also saying that, like, you know, after Cassie left,
there was like this seven foot man that like basically
like a big man that came and picked Cassie up.
And obviously she knew the man, but it was kind
of uncomfortable going back to the whole. You know, Diddy's

(01:25:59):
team was helping him orchestrate all this stuff. He says
he went back upstairs to talk to Puff and explained
him the rules of the hotel and that he have
to pay for some things, and did he had this
devilish stare on his face when he came out of
the the elevator at one point, and that Diddy allegedly
offered him money. So the man is saying that Diddy
offered him money because he didn't want any of this
to come out, because he for her and for him.

Speaker 1 (01:26:19):
But then they cross examine him. So now Brian still
gets up there for Diddy. Ho dog long, No, let
me tell you.

Speaker 13 (01:26:27):
We reported about Brian still a lot in here, but
I have never seen and he did it so effortlessly.
I've never seen nothing like this. So he gets up
there and he's like, okay, so you were you're now
an LAPD officer because they leaned a lot on that,
because they want you to look at this man that's
like he has an integrity currently LAPD officer after he
left being security at that hotel. Right, so he has
all this morals and integrity because he's an officer, he

(01:26:49):
understands taking off and tell him the truth. So Brian
Still's like, okay, well, you told us that when you
do your incident reports, you got to report the w's, where, what, why?

Speaker 1 (01:26:57):
Who?

Speaker 13 (01:26:57):
Like all the details. So he goes into the ncident
report and he says to him, he says, the incident
reports are important, right because when you when we're recounting
these things, we're relying on your report. So everything in
your report is valid because you'all depend on that. He's
like yeah, so he instantly starts getting him. He's like, okay,
so you mentioned something about Cassie having a purple eye
when you got off of the elevator. Why wasn't that

(01:27:19):
in your incident report? The man said, well, I didn't
think that that was significant to put in. He Brian
still said, so you thought it was significant today, but
it wasn't significant nine years ago. So then he says,
you said that you saw a man inside of their
hotel room. Why wasn't that in your incident report? Did
you ask the man his name?

Speaker 12 (01:27:35):
Did you talk to him?

Speaker 13 (01:27:36):
And he was like no, because the man didn't really
say anything. So then Brian still is like, well, you
also mentioned that you offered to call the police, but
Cassie told you not to. Why didn't you put that
in your incident report? And he was like, because I
didn't think it was important to like, you know what
I mean, she said, don't.

Speaker 2 (01:27:50):
Call it because he was trying to cover up for g.

Speaker 12 (01:27:54):
So no, no, no, no, no no, but like, listen,
I'm about to keep going.

Speaker 3 (01:27:58):
Listen.

Speaker 13 (01:27:58):
So he's like, so he's like, no, because I didn't
think that that was important, blah blah. So he's like,
he's like, so when you say that you saw this
man inside of the hotel room, right, can you talk
to us about like how the hotel room was set up,
because the point he was trying to get to, but
they backed up off of it was Diddy would have
been in a presidential suite or a larger hotel room
where if you're standing in the doorway, you're not seeing
someone sitting on the bed, you're not seeing a person,

(01:28:20):
and you didn't even put that in your report.

Speaker 12 (01:28:22):
So he's like, that makes no sense whatsoever.

Speaker 13 (01:28:24):
And then the prosecution had already played the video in full,
and then they played these videos he recorded on his phone,
and they asked him, well, why would you record videos
on your phone? And he's like, because if I had
told my wife that this just happened, because I knew
who Puff was, but I didn't know who Cassie was,
she wouldn't have believed me. That blows Even if he
was just trying to cover for Diddy, that now makes
him look like you were so fanned out at this point.

Speaker 12 (01:28:44):
We can't trust either side. We can't trust your defensive didd.

Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
He wife.

Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
He sent the two videos to his wife, and in
the video you.

Speaker 13 (01:28:49):
Hear him laughing like, look how shiny my shoes are,
Like he's not taking it serious at all. So then
he's like people were coming up to me afterward that
worked for the hotel asking me about this video, and
I'm telling him like he's super excited telling everybody about it,
telling everybody what happen. But now today you only are
saying that you remember certain things that go against Puff
while you're on the stand, but you didn't recount.

Speaker 12 (01:29:10):
You didn't say those things back then.

Speaker 2 (01:29:11):
Because he was covering up with back then. But maybe
he got a conscience now. Is all simply.

Speaker 13 (01:29:17):
He said he didn't take the money. He said that
did he offered him a ton of money, and to that,
Brian still, yeah, he said he came out with a
huge stack of money and he didn't offer it. To that,
Brian still said, well, you were basically because he kept
saying I kept telling him Diddy how much he had
to not how much he had to pay, but the
fact that if you had to pay for all the
stuff that you messed up. And if Diddy's already saying
to you, I don't want this to get out anywhere,

(01:29:37):
he's like, so of course when you came back up
to him, he had the money ready or whatever, because
you're saying he had all this cash like he had
it ready because he just wanted.

Speaker 12 (01:29:43):
To take care of it and move on.

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
You know, it's interesting.

Speaker 4 (01:29:46):
There's nothing they can do or say that is going
to minimize what people saw in that video. And I
know that they're trying to keep a different narrative, but yes,
if you've seen that video, you're not going to forget
that video.

Speaker 3 (01:29:59):
I think you're not gonna forget he's a violent person.
But what they're saying is the video didn't happen because
of a bad freak off. They're saying the video happened
because of a bad.

Speaker 2 (01:30:08):
Don't matter why it's happened. I just don't think I
got it. I just don't think.

Speaker 4 (01:30:10):
I don't think that the jurors are going to be
able to separate that video from their mind.

Speaker 3 (01:30:15):
They can't. They gonna have to.

Speaker 1 (01:30:16):
No, no, no, I think it'll still be there.

Speaker 13 (01:30:18):
But I think one thing that because I thought it
was weak in the beginning, But when I saw Brian
Still in the way he operated, I said, oh, I
understand it. Because thing about Brian Still and everything he
just did, he basically made that witness so uncredible, right,
regardless of how you look at him.

Speaker 12 (01:30:31):
And then sitting next to that, you have the prosecute,
the prosecutor.

Speaker 13 (01:30:33):
You have the defense attorney opening up and saying, he
is if he was being charged with the mess of violence,
so that he would be guilty.

Speaker 12 (01:30:39):
They owned up to all of this.

Speaker 1 (01:30:40):
So it's like, what you're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
I understand what you're saying. But when Cathy takes that.

Speaker 12 (01:30:44):
Stand, I think that might happen to that.

Speaker 2 (01:30:46):
And she was a young back then, super young.

Speaker 4 (01:30:49):
When she takes that stand and she talks and you
look at her in contrast to the money, the power
the age of Diddy, and they're on her, and she's
basically saying, I didn't want to do any of these
things that was out of my control. I was getting
drugged up, alcohol, getting beat on, blah blah blah.

Speaker 3 (01:31:06):
All of that's going They're gonna have to prove that
beyond a reasonable doubt.

Speaker 2 (01:31:09):
Well one of them.

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Yes, they're gonna have to go with all that without
a little bit of doubt that she enjoyed it or
she liked it. It's gonna be different.

Speaker 2 (01:31:15):
That's my whole thing.

Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
Is everything you're saying. I agree with you.

Speaker 13 (01:31:19):
Yeah, they do have videos, but they forcing her, They
have videos. They said that they have audios and they
had they said they have a lot more. So again,
this was just the first day, but I will say,
y'all talking about that that shadow of doubt. His team
was just really good at opening up that. Hey, y'all
got to do a little bit more to prove this.

Speaker 4 (01:31:35):
You know, if you said forcing her man running after
her in the hallway, grabbing her, trying to drag her
ass back is definitely.

Speaker 12 (01:31:40):
Because they brought that back up.

Speaker 1 (01:31:41):
They replayed that part of the video twice.

Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
What they're saying is they're proving that it was an
argument based off of a phone, so that was a
domestic case that they're saying that he's guilty out I
wouldn't have sa Cassie.

Speaker 13 (01:31:51):
That's gonna say otherwise, And listening I heard that so
would I wouldn't be for sure. Castie is getting on
the stand this week, but I heard that it will
possibly be today because we were trying to figure out
how pregnant she is. I'm hearing she's due like first
week of June, so damn yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
So the individual is gonna be that's gonna be some
crazy optics pregnant woman on stand crying talking about abuse,
that she used the indoor and you're gonna look like
a real lap if you if you defense pressing her.

Speaker 3 (01:32:16):
But they're gonna have to. They're gonna have to. But
also you got all these other witnesses saying things are difference.
So it's gonna be a bunch of witnesses and it's yourself.

Speaker 1 (01:32:24):
This is just day one, y'all. This is just me
walking away away.

Speaker 13 (01:32:26):
They want a lot of people I talked to yesterday
walked away feeling like, oh wait, hold on, what he's
a he's a messed up person, but like, did he
do everything?

Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
So if it's day one, who do you give the
who do you give the score to?

Speaker 12 (01:32:36):
Did his team took the day?

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
Was looking real quick?

Speaker 13 (01:32:39):
Did he looked a lot better? He had his he
had his haircut and stuff. He's still really gray. He
was in all gray and white. But he you know,
he looks better his hair was cut.

Speaker 1 (01:32:46):
And then just a question the first guy, the first
witness that you was some of the guy who learn it?

Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
Was he cute?

Speaker 1 (01:32:52):
Oh my goodness, No, it was given like he could
have been sharing.

Speaker 2 (01:32:54):
Alright, alright, alright, alright, I've seen some of your cousin, Laura.
That's the latest, Laura. You would even say something like that, Lauren,

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose.
