two chains, Yes, County and Gez, he already did it.

Speaker 5 (04:07):

video at eight fifteen.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
What's up to me?

Speaker 10 (04:39):
Good morning, NBA, Josh Alamaine, how y'all doing this morning?

Speaker 8 (04:41):
Morning?

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Good morning?

Speaker 6 (04:43):
All right?

Speaker 10 (04:44):
Well we start this morning on day thirty of the
government shutdown, and what began as a fight in Washington
over healthcare subsidies has now spiraled into one of the
longest and most painful shutdowns in modern history. Federal workers
are missing paychecks, air traffic controllers are working with pay
and now millions of families are preparing to lose access
to basic needs like food assistants and childcare. The SNAP program,

(05:07):
which helps more than forty two million Americans buy groceries
each month, it is set to run out of funding
starting Saturday. That means children, seniors, just everyday Americans could
soon go without help to put food on the table. Now,
Republicans say they want to fund the program, but they
are blaming Democrats for holding it up. Let's listen to
Speaker Mike Johnson on Saturday.

Speaker 11 (05:29):
This gets very real. SNAP benefits will stop flowing to
all those who need it. You're talking about tens of
millions of Americans at risk of going hungry if the
Senate Democrats can continue the scambit instead of taking simple
vote to fund the government, which Senate Democrats have now
had more than a dozen opportunities to do. Democrat attorneys
general are suing the federal government to try to compel

(05:51):
snap benefits to flow despite the government being closed, and
despite the fact that there is no money to do that.
Congress hasn't authorized that. The contingency fund. That was something
they batted down when the Democrats decided to vote against
the r and shout the government.

Speaker 10 (06:07):
Well, Democrats, they say that's not true. Senate Minority Leader
Chuck Schumer says there is an emergency fund that the
administration could tap into if they wanted to, but they
are refusing to do that. Let's listen to what he
has to say.

Speaker 12 (06:21):
Johnson just lies, plain and simple. It does not cost
five or six billion to administer. There's enough money to
start feeding people right away. Six billions a lot of money,
and they're using it for other things, twenty billion for Argentina,
hundreds of millions for Christy nomes Plane. Who are we
kidding here? That bottom line is they can fund it

(06:41):
just as in twenty nineteen, just as in other shutdowns,
for a long period of time, and they.

Speaker 13 (06:46):
Also gives a contingency fund, which is six billion dollars,
which gets you nearly a month, three weeks runs out,
then they can pass Senator luhan Or Senator Holly's bill,
both of which we support. We know that there'll be
sixty votes for that. They're not calling it up because
the House isn't here to pass it. That's the way
it works. The House would have to come here. They

(07:08):
probably would have to vote on the Epstein files. But
they're choosing to let kids go hungry instead of having
to vote on the Epstein files.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
There's no doubt about it.

Speaker 13 (07:17):
They have been out for six weeks on vacation.

Speaker 9 (07:21):
I don't understand why, you know, when we had a
democratic president, why they don't put some type of policy,
a law in play that if the government shuts down,
people still get their benefits, right, because they could have
done that.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
Years and years and years ago. Correct, Well, this is
this never happened. They say people are not going to
get their benefies on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
That's not what is about. That's not what they're arguing
about the emergency fund. Isn't that what that is?

Speaker 10 (07:44):
That is exactly what they're arguing about the emergency fund.
Because this even what they're saying is in twenty nineteen
this there was a government shutdown, people still got their benefits.
It's never stopped. They're saying that Trump is doing this
on purpose to uh, you know, to impact Democrats and
to make them want to the cave.

Speaker 9 (08:01):
Basically, I get that, But if it was a law
or a policy, they.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Would Are you talking about laws with Donald Trump?

Speaker 14 (08:07):
Right?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
You don't follow law, you talk about law right?

Speaker 5 (08:11):
That's crazy.

Speaker 10 (08:12):
Yeah, yeah, so you're right, there's no such thing when
it comes to this administration, it seems like. But when
we're talking about paying the military, apparently trum Trump administration
says that they will pay the military. I believe their
paychecks are supposed to come tomorrow, so there's some emergency
funding that they were able to find for them. And
we spoke about that one hundred and thirty million dollar

(08:33):
donation earlier this week Charlamagne. That is from a long
time Trump donor named Tim Dunn. He says that, according
to Trump, he stepped up to help with payroll costs.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
But that is still.

Speaker 10 (08:44):
All a short term fix, not a long term solution.
So we'll see whether the military will still get paid
after next month. They say that is still up in
the air, but they should still receive a paycheck tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
That's crazy.

Speaker 10 (08:57):
Yeah, And as a shutdown continues here at Home Owned
President Trump is making global headlines overseas now. Just before
or just hours before sitting with Chinese President Shijin Ping,
Trump announced that he's restarting the US nuclear weapons testing,
some of the United States has not done since nineteen
ninety two, and a post on social media, the president

(09:18):
said he has redirected the Pentagon to immediately began testing
nuclear weapons on an equal basis with other countries, specifically
naming Russia and China, and Trump wrote the United States
has more nuclear weapons than any other country, adding that
much of America's arsenal was modernized during his first term.
He said Russia ranked second, China ranks third, but predicted

(09:39):
that China could catch up within five years now. If
this follows through. If the US follows through, it would
mark the first nuclear tests in more than three decades,
a move analysts say would likely be viewed as a
major show of power and could heighten global tensions. So
that is something definitely to continue watching. All right, Well,
coming up seven, while your phone might get you in trouble.

(10:03):
Before the day is over, we'll tell you about the
unexpected text you might get today and why it's why
it's best you should probably ignore it all.

Speaker 9 (10:10):
Right, everybody else, get it off your chest eight hundred
five eight five one oh five one. If you need
to vent some things on your mind, call us up
right now. It's the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Good morning, the Breakfast Club. I'm telling, I'm telling what
you doing, Hall of you. If this is your time
to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed.

Speaker 15 (10:32):
Eight hundred and five eight five.

Speaker 8 (10:33):
One oh five one.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club. Hello.
Who's this?

Speaker 16 (10:39):
Good morning, my Breakfast Club family. It should great. Love
you from the Bronx.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
What's up, love?

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Hey, what's up? Brother Love?

Speaker 4 (10:44):
I'll be seeing you on the on the twitch to
love you.

Speaker 16 (10:46):
Yeah, yeah, I'm outside. You know I'm holding you up.
I want to say that before I get into my
congratulations on baby girl getting engaged. Did you did you
guys coordinate a synchronized dance going down the hall?

Speaker 8 (10:58):
Yet?

Speaker 17 (10:58):
Not you?

Speaker 8 (10:59):
We got it.

Speaker 9 (10:59):
We got to twenty twenty seven. Wee she's gonna get
married in twenty twenty seven. But now we're gonna do something.
I don't know what to what song, but we're gonna
figure something out.

Speaker 16 (11:06):
Yeah, that's that's if I've told you I had the
privilege of being the best man at my oldest son's wedding,
So that's like a super Bowl winning super Bowl. But anyway,
I want to get into this. If we don't hold
these local churches and our local artists accountable right now,
you know, I'm one of the single parents that's losing
the SNAP benefits and the local churches that take from
us what day every day with these nonprofits, these artists

(11:30):
that go and spend make it rain in the clubs,
we need to hold them accountable.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I agree wholeheartedly, wholeheartily.

Speaker 16 (11:37):
As a single parent, you know, it's gonna be it's
gonna be tough for us single parents out here. I mean,
I'm I'm fortunate where I can get up and make minds,
but some parents can't do that. We got veterans that's
gonna be losing a SNAP you know. And if you
look at it, I know Trump think's affecting us, but
thirty thirty six percent of the people on SNAP are
white Americans.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Thirty six No, it's way higher than that. Brother.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
The majority of people that receive SNAP benefits in this
the country are low income white people. Got to be
more than thirty six percent.

Speaker 9 (12:04):
But you know what, love you, I know most of
you know, a lot of the churches, the good churches,
they're already helping people regardless, and you see the work
that they're doing in the community. I just wonder if
the churches can afford to float, you know what I mean,
because a lot of people are not actually given to
the church because they can't afford to And you know,
the church got bills too, The church got electric bills
and mortgage and NT and all that other stuff as well.
I wonder if that will affect the church as well,

(12:26):
you know.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
And Love You was right about his number though, but
that I guess that that is the largest group of
people thirty seven percent.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Yes, but yes, love You is absolutely right, man.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
I told y'all, I've donated this week to the Broad
River Business Alliance in Columbia, South Carolina. I've donated to
the Food Bank of New York City. I'm already an
ambassador for them. I donated to the Community Resource Center
in North Charlester, South Carolina, donated the Harvest Hope in Columbia,
South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
And I'm donating to two more.

Speaker 9 (12:53):
Yes, I haven't done it yet, but I will I
need to do some of Queens. I got to find
some places in Queens that be.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
A dollar can provide like five meals with people like
you don't like this, I just gotta find find a
couple yes like so, man, this it actually frustrates you
and infuriates you when you realize how little it takes
to take care of these people and that our government
won't do it. Like I know, the Hope Center in Charleston,
South Carolina, I provided breakfast for a whole year. Still

(13:20):
that's still going on right now. I can tell the number,
but it ain't what you think, you know what I mean.

Speaker 9 (13:25):
I'm gonna do that this weekend. I gotta find something.
I know the one that you do in Harlem, but
I want to do.

Speaker 8 (13:29):
One in Queens. I'm from Queens.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
I want to do some Queens, a lot of old
fools and queens a break.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
And I did not know that it was so inexpensive
to you know, don't you know what I'm saying? To
feed a bunch of families is very expensive.

Speaker 9 (13:42):
So absolutely, and if you could do it from where
you're from, regardless of who you are, like, do it
from that the neighborhood you're from an act.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
I'm sure help a.

Speaker 9 (13:48):
Lot of people get it off your chirs. Call us
up right now. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the
Breakfast Club.

Speaker 8 (13:59):
If you're time to get it your chest.

Speaker 15 (14:01):
Whether you're man or black, something, get up and get something.

Speaker 8 (14:05):
Call him now.

Speaker 15 (14:06):
Eight hundred five five one O five one.

Speaker 8 (14:08):
We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Hello, who's this beer from?

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Bear?

Speaker 10 (14:13):
Like?

Speaker 16 (14:13):
Rially?

Speaker 8 (14:14):
What?

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Un morning?

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Damn a man named Bear? You're scared the hell out
of women? Well know, women feel safe at all?

Speaker 18 (14:21):
I'm really might Actually I'm the ladies mant t sure
his name?

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Lovel boy.

Speaker 8 (14:26):
You're right?

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Women women say they feel safe with the bed, so
you're right.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
So you're a teddy bear?

Speaker 3 (14:30):
All right?

Speaker 14 (14:32):
Exactly? You mean I'm any.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Shut up, stopped?

Speaker 7 (14:40):
I'm sorry a bear?

Speaker 8 (14:42):
Alight.

Speaker 18 (14:42):
I called them because I was hearing y'all talking about
how men reactor his home. Honestly, I think it's for
all culture that really respond like that. You feel me,
And it came to me to realize that in my
debt being that or growing up as a black male
in America or in any city, that we really was

(15:05):
tricked a lot that we.

Speaker 14 (15:06):
Got to act in and carry ourselves a certain way.
I feel me.

Speaker 18 (15:10):
So if men is hitting on you or as attracted
to you at the end of the day, as long
as it compromising your integuity, yacht and your morals and
your sexuality, they really don't bother me no more.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
You feel me, Yeah, Just don't disrespect me the same way.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
You know, if you try to higher a woman, be
respectful about it, and you know if she lets you down,
you know you you be respectful about getting turned down.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
You do the same thing with a game man exactly.

Speaker 18 (15:34):
But that's toxic masculinity, and it's kind of a little
bit in our culture because if you if you see
a white guy in a in a gay man, whatever culture,
whatever race or whatever, to.

Speaker 14 (15:47):
Work all day, they joke all day this and that
boomom boom.

Speaker 18 (15:50):
And act with each other and it'll be fine, you know,
But us as black males, we won't want to be
in the same room as a gay man or look
at him at a gay man, or even smelling up.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
You did, I join, I was on that. You don't count.
But why melum though, bro, like you went a little
too far. You're being a little too descriptive with it, Bro,
He says, smell them you just felt.

Speaker 18 (16:14):
I'm just saying, I'm just saying you feel me as
you feel me as you mean? Men black male who
just saying you mean? I give you an example who
don't really smell another man?

Speaker 14 (16:24):
Let you go on. And it's okay to call a
man a man on the colone because I'm a man
that work cologne. But I burst that every month.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
I will say how they try to paint all black
men is homophobic. I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
And the reason I don't like that because whenever exactly,
because it's the white man in the office that's creating legislation.
You know, that is really oppressing the lgbt Q community.
So I don't like when they like that black woman
that's so homophobic.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
I don't like that. Yeah, And I was thinking yesterday too.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
I was like, I think a lot of these dudes
be upset because what if this game dude got gain
He wasn't even gay, But you was like, damn, I
like the way this dude talking. Sometime, you know, the
ugly guy hollered the pretty girl. He's fitting some game.
He gotta laugh and he gotta thinking and She's like, damn,
I never even looked at him like that.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Please got him sitting over.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
Damn, I never thought about in that way.

Speaker 8 (17:15):
You know. Hello, this is Rob.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Robin like noodles, Robert.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
He said, Roberts, what's up?

Speaker 8 (17:25):
Robert?

Speaker 19 (17:25):
I'm gonna question flash, get off my chad. Have you
guys ever been in the brochure line or in the
bank line?

Speaker 16 (17:32):
Peace and choir?

Speaker 19 (17:33):
And you got somebody read behind you on the phone
just as loud and watching up and he lived quieter
then it should be.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Oh, I got one worse than that time this week
on the plane. My wife can't stand that.

Speaker 14 (17:45):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
If you on the plane and you listening to something
like this, this woman was in front of us, sitting
down and she was listening to her computer without no headphones.
Oh Lord, have mercy.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
That happened to my wife told my wife called.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
He called the unlazy.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
It was like, look, come on, this is ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah, because i'd be telling about why man, your business
putting the headphones and put your headphones on so you
can't hear her.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Because sometimes, like your wife you said, they got the
laptop right, they're watching the movie. Yeah, man, I'm telling.

Speaker 16 (18:12):
Her with no disrespect of any kind of way.

Speaker 19 (18:16):
And I love this, but I in the world all
my strength just to hear y'all first, get on when
you come on there the morning time with that yo, yo, yo, yo,
Joe Crown, Oh my god, man, that just run you
spreaped the wall. Well that early in the morning with
that hollering.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
I gotta wake your glass.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
We ain't gonna do that this as we get older.
Now we get older, we ain't gonna be complaining about
each other noises. Okay, that's saying you.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Know you don't God damn money, yo, yo yo. You
know what.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
We get older, this show gets older, and we get
we're not gonna be doing that to each other now, Okay,
calling up here to tell.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Me yo, you call it all yo yo yo in the.

Speaker 17 (18:57):
Morning for fifteen yeah, get it off your chest.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
Eight hundred and five. We got the latest with Laurena
coming up.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
We do.

Speaker 20 (19:07):
Good morning, y'all, Good morning. So look, the verses went
down last weekend. A lot of people have questions about
Wayne about location. We got some answers for the people.
So we're gonna get into it now, all right, We'll.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Getting into that next. It's the Breakfast Club on morning,
the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 9 (19:23):
Lauren becoming a straight fast she gets them somebody that
knows somebody detail.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
I'm a lone girl that knows a little bit about everything.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
She'd be having the Latest on the lawn, The latest
with Lauren la Rosa.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Sometimes you have sometimes you have details, sometimes you have
a little bit everything.

Speaker 8 (19:41):
It's the latest on the breakfast club.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Talk all righty guys.

Speaker 20 (19:46):
So Versus went down last weekend and there was a
lot of questions of following the verses. The biggest question,
of course, was Little Wayne and his absence, because people
had pointed out that Dreas, the night club in Vegas,
had been promoting the fact that Lil Wayne would be
at their venue that night following the verses. But I
was told by a Soaurus it was verified to me

(20:07):
that Lil Wayne did not show up to Drea's. Now,
from what I was told, everything in Vegas related to
him that night was canceled, so he didn't actually make it.
People tried to make the conversation as if he chose
to go to Dreas.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
And didn't choose Versus verst.

Speaker 20 (20:22):
He didn't go anywhere that night, So whatever the issue is,
and there's still more to be found out here. He
wasn't anywhere in Vegas that night, so that puts that
to rest a bit. And I know another one of
the questions was on why the verses was so short
in the format, because we're used to it going way longer.
So I spoke to a source who told me that
the ten songs format that we watched with no limited
cash money is going to be the format of Versus

(20:44):
moving forward because more artists want to do it at
that point because the ten songs.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Artists that don't have a lot of artists don't got
twenty slaps.

Speaker 20 (20:52):
Yeah, and you know it's easy to pick through as
well too. Before we were watching him do like twenty
ish songs, which could be like three and a half
hours long show. It's a lot to put out as
well too, So they're not going to do that no more.
And finally on the location, now people want another Versus
and they wanted to happen again with no limited cash
money in New Orleans. From what I was told, the
reason why it didn't happen in New Orleans in the

(21:13):
first place and it happened in Vegas was because when
you bring those two locations together, like the two projects
that both you know, No Limit and Cash Money are from.
It's not even about just like the artists or the entourages,
but the people that come or you know, just the
surrounding people. There's a lot of back and forth there
still between people, and they want to keep everybody safe.
So they felt like Vegas was like a neutral ground.

(21:33):
The artists were comfortable with coming if it was happening
in Vegas as well.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
So that's where it's.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Just not the artists, is the entourage, right, and all
of that.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
History that all in projects in New Orleans and stuff
got amongst each other.

Speaker 21 (21:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (21:46):
Still, I think a lot of people would have loved
to see in Louisiana New Orleans. Just like when with
a GZ and Gucci that happened in Atlanta, right, it
felt like it should happened Atlanta.

Speaker 20 (21:54):
But when that happened in Atlanta, you remember seeing and
not to put like a negative like you know, whatever
over but just being honest about it. With the GZ
and Gucci versus, you remember seeing all them big, huge
like police trucks and like they had to do so
much complex con is a lot easier because it's already
you have an infrastructure that you're a part of.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
Vegas is neutral. It just takes a lot more to keep.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
People on both sides.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
No limit and cash money just behind the scenes say no,
we couldn't have did it in New Orleans.

Speaker 9 (22:21):
So I think, well, if they said it, then I
thought it would have been big for the city. They
shook hands at the end of it, like it just
seemed like they ain't.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
About them though they're about the artists, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 20 (22:31):
Yeah, I think it's more about because I mean, of
course the artists. It would feel good because when I
went to go see the Hot Boys in New Orleans,
it was a great feeling to be there, But you
do got to worry about the people that are coming
out to see you, you know what I'm saying, and like
what that means for venues that are going to book
you after that.

Speaker 9 (22:44):
Also when people that go to North that actually know
the songs that they perform you, you know what I mean,
Like some of those songs You've seen the crowd and
it wasn't as live as it should have been. But
I felt like if it would have been home, it
would have been play.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
A big part in you know, concerts like that, I think.

Speaker 20 (22:59):
I mean, I can understand and now I think age
is a thing too, But I think location matters. But
I think too if you promoted with enough time for
people to like actually get there and make the do
what they need to do because we knew about this,
like how many weeks, I feel like it was like
maybe a month if that.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
But you're putting no limit cash money on tomorrow. I'm
singing word for word what was happening?

Speaker 20 (23:17):
Yeah, but I mean it's different. You're from the South, also,
age differences with era. Yeah, it's different for you. So yes,
answering some of the questions as I can. We'll be
back with more there hopefully now. In other news other
music related news, be and MEF, the show being Meth
with Little Meach and Da Vinci is officially canceled. There

(23:38):
was an announcement yesterday and Deadline that the show is
now done after four seasons, but there are spin offs
reported to be coming now. Y'all, remember fifty Cent when
he was going back and forth with Big Meech a
while ago, said that after season four the show was
going to be done, but it wasn't an official cancelation announcement,
so people have been trying to figure out is this

(23:58):
the power of fifty cent because all the things that
we've seen, or was the you know, did the show
just run its course and the cancelation has happened.

Speaker 21 (24:05):
Now.

Speaker 20 (24:06):
Fifty cent has posted on Instagram in response to these speculations,
and he says, well, first of all, the photo that
he posted is a for I need money for food
sign with little Meach sitting on a corner, and he says,
I am deeply concerned by the widespread assumption that I
had involvement in the recent cancelation of BMF. I intend
to thoroughly investigate this matter to understand exactly how and

(24:28):
why it occurred.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 20 (24:31):
So it doesn't really answer the question, he just continues
the trow I did reach out to reps that I
saw listed for the show and tried to get more
information on the background of it.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
But I think something like this.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
He said, it's going to be spinoffs. Though in the
last episode of BMF it was Meach going to jail, right, yeah,
I didn't want the last episode of being MEF it
was me going to Little Meat going maybe me going
yeah the character, and so fifty said it's going to
be spin offs yees yep.

Speaker 20 (24:54):
And even in the story that broke when it said
the cancelations, is said that there will be spent on.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
You know, he don't necessarily need Little Meat to do
the spin offs. I guess I think should start a
landscaping business. I have no idea, but I thought. I'm
telling I had that vision yesterday. Yet I ain't see
him cutting grays. But as soon as I saw fifty
cent posting that, that just popped in my mind. Little
Meat should started landscaping business. So I don't know why
that popped in my mind, so I'm sharing it. So
if he's out there listening, maybe that is a vision.

(25:20):
Maybe that's something you're working on.

Speaker 7 (25:22):
You know.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
I'm clairevoy and a but I'm just telling you I
think he should start a landscaping I thought she was.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Gonna go somewhere more near groceries, like maybe like partners.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
You're trying to be funny, I'm being serious.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
At this point, Summer Walker's still talking about them groceries.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
Inst I'm saying, I think you should start a landscaping business.
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
As soon as I saw fifty cent posting that, that
is what popped in my mind.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
That is what I'm sharing. I don't know him personally
to share.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
What do God be telling you about us?

Speaker 1 (25:45):
You don't want to know, Oh, I don't want to know,
but I know it's part of my ministry that I know.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Does he have a landscaping like face, like like landscaping weird?

Speaker 2 (25:57):
No? No, no, no, I'll say it's weird until y'all
se him in the landscaping.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Yeah right.

Speaker 20 (26:02):
I mean some of the things you've said about other
things we've seen come you know. So that's why I'm like,
we got that landscaping look, So what's the landscaping look?

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Just I don't know, you know, it's real out of
this country, you know, not from this country, Like okay,
all right, cut my grayes, you know.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
But it is great.

Speaker 7 (26:20):
He owns it.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
He will own the companies with Charlamagne sees that's great. No, no, no,
I can see it too now. But I see it
in ways that you do like he does.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
He looks like he's going to be on the mower
for me, Like it's okay if he is.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
So I'm just telling you what I saw. Yet that
was the vision I got. Yes, yeah, yeah, he should
start a landscaping business.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
Okay, yep, well help him out.

Speaker 15 (26:43):
You should help him.

Speaker 5 (26:43):
Out with it.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
No, I'm just putting there. This is my job.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
I get to download, give it to the atmosphere. Somebody
who know low meet let him know Charlamagne had a
vision that should start a landscaping business. I ain't even
trying to be funny. I'm just telling you that's what.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
I know.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
You not, but it was just random. That's what you saw.
And can you tell me what God be saying for me?
I tell you that now, Lauren, because you signing yourself up.

Speaker 20 (27:07):
Stop now when we off air, he's a lot nicer,
That's what I said. When we so let's wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
You tell me that that balls got ain't gonna never
grow in, but it's gonna be part of your time.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
I'm serious.

Speaker 5 (27:18):
So you asked me because she could have.

Speaker 20 (27:19):
Died, Yes, and I've been told you's not gonna grow back.
Tell you that we gotta go, and I love to
thank you.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Speaking of han't your birthday me along? Oh it's so
good Halloween. That was the latest with Lauren.

Speaker 9 (27:37):
Now when we come and when we come back, you
got front page news and new addition to Boys to
Men will be joining us.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
It's the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
The Morning, Good Morning, everybody is dj NV just hilarious.

Speaker 9 (27:47):
Chelamaine the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get
back to some front page news. Now, some quick sports.
Last night, the Blue Jays beat the Dodgers six to one.
They leave the series three to two. And then Thursday
night football, the Baltimore Ravens take on the Miami Dolphins.
Also tonight in Philly, Delaware State coach by Deshaun Jackson
X Philadelphia Eagles is playing Norfolk State. Of course, Michael

(28:07):
Vick is the head coach for that. That's gonna be
in the Eagle Stadium. But the Eagle Stadium whole a lot.
It's gonna look empty tonight.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Now, yeah, I'm god, hold like eighty thousand people, right,
you got fifty thousand, No, gotta be more than that.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
All I'm saying is, you know, they should. You should
go out.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
There and you know, make it look bigger, you know,
make it look big like you know what I'm saying.
I hate when I watch the HBCU game and they
play in these big ass stadiums and people don't show
up the way they're supposed.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
To forty three thousand.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
I'm looking at it. I said, sixty nine thousand, really,
Citizens Bank, Lincoln Financial Financial sixty nine, Yeah, a little
bit over sixty nine sixty thousand, five hundred ninety sixty
be exactly fill that field up.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
Man, They're not gonna fill.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
That Delaware state state first.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Tier, second tier like and then you know, shade off.

Speaker 8 (28:57):
The third in the fourth time.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Okay, you'll see to night. I hope it's packed.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
You know what I'm saying Delaware right here about Philly people,
That's what I'm saying. But make it look pack, man,
Make these HBCU games look pack, especially it's.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Gonna be on on TV. Yeah, I think so what
I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
I hate that when you look at it on TV
and it don't look back at the HBC.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
You go out there and support, yo.

Speaker 9 (29:15):
Yeah, I hope it is packed. Well, I'll be there
tonight though, I'm going tonight. But what's that mean me?

Speaker 10 (29:18):
Good morning, Envy, Josh Alamage, how y'all doing?

Speaker 14 (29:21):
Errol?

Speaker 10 (29:22):
Good morning? All right, Well we start this hour in Jamaica,
where Hurricane Melissa has left a catastrophic damage and heartbreak
in its wake. Now, Part of the storm system, now
blamed for at least thirty deaths across the Caribbean as
it moved towards the Bahamas and Bermuda this morning. Now
Melissa slammed into Jamaica on Tuesday as a Category five hurricane,

(29:43):
the strongest storm in the island's history, with winds reaching
up to one hundred and eighty five miles per hour.
Entire neighborhoods were torn apart, roofs ripped off of homes,
and power lines down nearly across the entire island. Now
this morning, more than twenty five thousand Jamaicans are sheltering
in schools and churches turned into emergency shelters, and roughly

(30:03):
eighty percent of the island still remains without power. At
least four people have died in Jamaica, that's according to officials.
A Prime Minister, Andrew Wholeness, has declared a national disaster,
saying the government is fully mobilized to rescue residents and
deliver food and supplies, but communication blackouts and flooding have
made that nearly impossible in some areas. In Saint Elizabeth Parish,

(30:26):
the town of Black River, one of the.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Hardest hit areas.

Speaker 10 (30:29):
Local officials are still shocked by the damage. Let's listen to.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Some of that.

Speaker 22 (30:33):
Jamaica's gan shuw what I can call one of its
worst period or infrastructures being severely compromised. Saint Elizabeth is
the bread basket of the country and that has stick
and a beating. The entire Jamaica has felt the brunt

(30:54):
of Melissa.

Speaker 14 (30:57):
Well.

Speaker 10 (30:57):
The government says it hopes to reopen airport today to
speed up those relief efforts. The United States is sending
rescue and response teams. That's according to Secretary of State
Marco Rubio. And yesterday afternoon, Melissa it weakened into a
Category one storm with sustained winds around ninety miles per hour.
Moving northeast. It went to Cuba and then the Bahamas

(31:19):
and from there is expected to move to Bermuda sometime
late today.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
So yeah, South, everybody in Jamaica, Man, every relief of
it's gonna be real. They gonna need it absolutely.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
I talk to people that said it's like it's only
one half of the island though, is that true?

Speaker 10 (31:33):
They said it since it's in spots, but majority they
said it touched every part of the island. Of course,
some places are worse than others, but it definitely touched
every part of the island.

Speaker 4 (31:41):
Got you, And they said hurricane season last so mid November, right, so.

Speaker 8 (31:46):
They can get some moves.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
So yeah, pray for definitely everybody in Jamaica.

Speaker 10 (31:50):
Absolutely. But after some of these heavier headlines this morning,
we let's lighten things up for a minute. So today
is National Text.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
Your X Day.

Speaker 7 (32:02):
Yes, please, that is.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
The real thing.

Speaker 10 (32:04):
Yes, So every October thirtieth, it's a day meant to
reach out to your ex and say what's been left unsaid.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
But let's be honest.

Speaker 10 (32:12):
So for most folks that's probably a terrible idea, but
it started as a day of closure, a chance to apologize,
make peace, or even reconnect. But experts say, before you hitsin,
ask yourself, is this really about healing or are you
looking for trouble? Online reactions they're split. Some people say
they are. They're probably posting their screenshots.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Saying I did it.

Speaker 10 (32:33):
Others are saying don't do it because it's a trap.
So whether you are team text them for closure or
team delete their number forever, today's a day that you'll
probably find out if a lot of that therapy you've
been taking. It's really working.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
And this is like adult relationships, right me and me,
because it's not like, you know, like I've bel with
the same woman for twenty seven years, so any x
I got it from high school or something like that.
So it's not like you would even worry about nothing
like that, right, No.

Speaker 10 (32:55):
No, no, this is just like if your boyfriend girlfriend
y'all broke up a couple of years ago. You know
you're wondering how they're doing that sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Yeah, I had to say something wild to my mom
and piggle wiggily.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
I'm still pissed off about that too, And I'm like,
why are you talking about something that happened thirty plus
years but youin't got nothing when was this?

Speaker 2 (33:15):
This is over the summer day? Well that's because.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
You you're not the same Lina on it Mcalvie that
she was.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
In school, and that person is not the same person
that was, so you won't be telling nobody that we
need to have relationship. Okay, Hey yoah, people still use
stuff like that against you now, man. Crazy people go
to people Facebook and be posting pictures, may be sending
pictures to you like boy you used to be.

Speaker 6 (33:38):
Yo.

Speaker 10 (33:40):
All right, y'all, Well, that is your front page news.
I'm Mimi Brown followed me at me Me Brown TV.

Speaker 9 (33:52):
Alright it now when we come back, new addition and
Boys to Men will be joining us. They are going
on tour the new addition Way Toil with Tony Braxton
and we're gonna talk to them next ey, So don't
go anywhere. And all the members are here, by the way.
It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Good morning.

Speaker 9 (34:11):
Everybody's DJ n V Jess Hilarious, Charlamage the God. We
are the Breakfast Club. Longer Roses here as well, and
we got.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
Some icons today. Ladies and gentlemen, we have new addition
and Boys to Men.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
They going on tour together. I feel like this should
have been happened right. Why did it take so long?
Who wants to start?

Speaker 23 (34:39):
I think that there's a lot of logistics that go
with having two groups, two groups with such great success.
In order to get that together, scheduling has to be right. Also,
the you know what I mean, the energy has to
be right. The climate has to be right. And I
just believe that this is the time. God put this
time as the time to show the world what this,

(35:01):
this whole vibe is all about new audition boys to men,
Tony Box and it's a real thing. And this is
the moment God placed it right here, not.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
His boys to Benfield.

Speaker 9 (35:10):
I got to ask, because you guys, they were your idols,
right and still are you seeing them? You know when
y'all had to show in Philly, y'all come to the
bus and you're singing, and.

Speaker 23 (35:22):
Well, you know that's not actually how it went, you
know what I'm saying. No, no, no, I don't mean to.
I don't mean to, but you know, but you know,
like in order in order for the story to to
to actually be uh told in the movies, sometimes you
have to, you know, make it all go together in sequence,
you know, for people see this so that there's truth

(35:42):
to that. But it was Michael Bibbins, h Ricky and
and Ron. They were actually coming off stage at the
Powerhouse and they were in Philly and they were introducing
that you guys were going to be D B D
and uh we had just by the time they came
off stage. We had just snuck backstage. We passed past

(36:03):
us back and before we got backstage. As soon as
we got there, they were coming off stage, and I guess, uh.

Speaker 15 (36:09):
Nate asked Ricky can we sing for him? You know
what I'm saying? And Ricky was like, y'all got it tape?

Speaker 7 (36:17):
Y'all?

Speaker 23 (36:19):
He said yeah, yeah, got it tape and we was like, no,
we ain't got no tape. And he was like, well,
y'all need a tape, you know what I'm saying. He
started writing down the address, but then Nate was like, yo,
let me go to BIV.

Speaker 15 (36:29):
So he's like, BIV, can we sing for you? And
he was like, can y'all do it right now?

Speaker 8 (36:34):
Boom?

Speaker 15 (36:34):
We busted into King standing right in Acapella. So it
was backstage.

Speaker 23 (36:38):
It wasn't at a tour bus, but you know what
I mean, the story nonetheless, it definitely resonated.

Speaker 15 (36:44):
Wow, the tour bus was more exciting.

Speaker 14 (36:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah right.

Speaker 15 (36:49):
Right, there was a lot more sexy. Us was sexy.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
I do want to ask, you know, every every artist, manager,
artist executive relationship has just hides and lows when you
look back, what was some of the biggest misunderstanding lessons
y'all learned from you know each other.

Speaker 24 (37:04):
I guess you could say, like when any relationship, I
mean in a group, because even when Bibbs signed his
years ago, it was almost like him being the fifth
member at the time, and I think it was more
like a dynamic type thing. You know, we learned a
lot about each other's personalities as well as just understanding,
you know.

Speaker 7 (37:20):
How the business went.

Speaker 24 (37:22):
So you know, you had your share of highs and
lows and ups and downs, but at the end of
the day, it's all about that. It's better is the
end of a thing than the beginning and of the thing. Absolutely,
So it's one of those things where it's like, here
we are, look at this, you know what I'm saying.
A lot of people didn't think that this, you know,
situation would even happen. But as you mentioned, poison men
owe a lot to new audition. But this is what

(37:42):
succession looks like. You understand what I'm saying. So so
it's one of those things where it's like these guys
did what they did and they gave us the ball
and we ran with it.

Speaker 15 (37:51):
So so that now we can roll with it together.
Now we can roll with it together.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Can we expound on the brotherhood you know between all
of y'all. Man, you know, I love seeing all of
y'all together after all these years. What if we all
learned about forgiveness and just staying together as brothers, adition
and boys.

Speaker 25 (38:05):
I could say, God, you said, I've said before you
was talking about the fact that when you're talking about
true brotherhood, it's a real true brotherhood and we're like
real siblings. And I've said that's why you see, we
go through our ups and downs, our battles.

Speaker 7 (38:21):
We're gonna have some ups and downs.

Speaker 25 (38:22):
And all of the above, but at this stage of
our lives when we come together, man, it's like it's
just nothing but laughter.

Speaker 7 (38:29):
It's like, at this.

Speaker 25 (38:30):
Point of our lives, we didn't been through a lot,
and I'm sure there's more to deal with as far
as challenges go, but we've come full circles just as
grown men, just as as human beings.

Speaker 7 (38:39):
And we have fun when we come together.

Speaker 4 (38:42):
Yeah, I was gonna say, y'all need to talk with
y'all just like we brought.

Speaker 23 (38:45):
Well, this this is the deal again. We this is
the first time that we've even come together in this circumstance,
you know what I mean. Other times it's been you know,
we've been on shows with with BBD. We've done a
few shows with with Johnny and Bobby and you know,
and we I think we did one gig that we
all were together. But I feel like in order for
the energy to actually get to the place where it's

(39:09):
supposed to be something like that, a brig bread moment
has to happen. You know, some things, you know, some
things that we might have on our hearts may need
to come out. You know what I'm saying. I mean,
that's that's what brotherhood is about, you know. And and
I'm a big fan of atonement, guys.

Speaker 8 (39:24):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 23 (39:25):
I'm a big fan of of of of letting it go,
especially at the age that we're all at. You know,
I'm trying. I'm trying to. Yeah, man, I'm trying. I'm
trying to.

Speaker 15 (39:35):
I'm in CoA mo.

Speaker 8 (39:36):
This is the time.

Speaker 23 (39:37):
Let's go out, let's make some money, Let's entertain these
people and be on coach mold.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
That's all conversation. Like what was that initial conversation.

Speaker 8 (39:47):
What we did.

Speaker 24 (39:48):
What he was saying was it's It's one of those
things where because we're on the road and because we
have the time, it's going to be one of those
organic things. Yeah, we don't want to make this a
melo drama and it ain't no negativity, ain't no mess
like like you know what I'm saying, None of that excuse.

Speaker 7 (40:04):
Me, none of that stuff like it.

Speaker 24 (40:06):
It's really just about understanding how important this meant or
this was to not only to the fans, but to us.
So this is what we're doing. We're celebrating. We're gonna
have a good time. We're gonna go on the road
and we're gonna sing and dance our asses off. Absolutely,
we're gonna give people the greatest show they've ever seen
in their life.

Speaker 7 (40:22):
That you have right.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Have fun doing it.

Speaker 9 (40:26):
Now, what do you think there's missing in the R
and B game right now? Why don't you think there's
more R and B groups?

Speaker 3 (40:31):
Honestly, I think it started at the Record L.

Speaker 26 (40:35):
I think people that are hired now, some of them
don't have an eye for talent. They have an eye
for their computer word. Sometimes you have to go in
the street, like we met in the street. You know
they're singing to be closed and I think they look
at it as the hits of the computer makes them
a hit group, But it's so much more to it.

(40:56):
And back in the day, like for myself the CEO,
I stayed the two in the morning and kept looking
at the pictures, listening to the music. The an R
and the people at the office. Now they're on the
red carpet before the artists get there. So the responsibility
and the care the detail is missing. And if someone
would just slow down and say, yo, how many times

(41:19):
we gotta look at the Grammys and not one R
and B group is on.

Speaker 3 (41:22):
The shlve right right, right right.

Speaker 26 (41:25):
And the first time we see in an R and
B group in the last five years, well, you know,
we saw what Bruno on them did, but that was
a different thing. I'm talking about someone from the hood,
like a Yoda signal audition Boys to men. Jagged Edge
is when Wan Suns was on there and Jesse gave
them the shot. That's the first time we seen black
kids on the Grammys ever in a long time. And

(41:46):
that's where it starts. It starts younger the scottshot at
the office or it's gonna have to come from us.

Speaker 9 (41:52):
Now with Bobby with so many hits? How many hits
are you gonna do on stage?

Speaker 3 (41:56):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (41:56):
Man, go to the.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
Mic and then because that's the time whereverybody can take
a break.

Speaker 9 (42:01):
You have so many records single like, how are you
going to break.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Me and break?

Speaker 8 (42:11):
I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 27 (42:13):
It's up it's up to Brooke and it's up to
you know the guys. How much they want me on
the stage.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
I don't.

Speaker 27 (42:19):
I don't plan to do no more than the next man.
I know that.

Speaker 8 (42:34):
One.

Speaker 5 (42:35):
Okay, So for boys and man, how long did it
take y'all to complete a whole song in the studio?
Because you when I say when the song's be going off,
you'd be like, no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (42:43):
I got some more.

Speaker 15 (42:51):
Specific with it.

Speaker 5 (42:52):
The Christmas album that I bumped all year round Christmas serversations.

Speaker 15 (42:57):
Wow, thank you my favorite appreciator. I play it all
year round.

Speaker 5 (43:01):
How only did it take you all to complete a
single song?

Speaker 23 (43:03):
Well, I'll tell you this. It took us two weeks
to do the Christmas album.

Speaker 7 (43:07):
What that's all?

Speaker 15 (43:09):
We had two weeks, that's all we had.

Speaker 23 (43:11):
And we recorded it in Europe, London, in London, yes,
with Brian McKnight. We sat there because we were on tour.
We were on tour in London, right and we had yeah,
we had to meet the deadline, and we sat in there.
Of course we wrote songs on the road, you know,
like Sean would call me to his room he had
joyous song. I came up with why Christmas and Nate

(43:31):
had a cold December Nights. Mike did no, No, Michael's
cold December Nights, Nate had, Uh what was the record
of Share Love?

Speaker 15 (43:40):
Share Love? So yeah, So the idea like literally.

Speaker 23 (43:44):
To to do a new standard Christmas album was It
was grueling because we didn't have much time, but we.

Speaker 8 (43:51):
Wrote the hell out of that.

Speaker 23 (43:53):
Like every aspect of it was straight from the you know,
the soul, you know what I mean. It was real,
real moments. So we did and we didn't want to
make it all like you know, jing Go Bell, you
know what I mean. We wanted to make it. We
wanted to make it so that so that so that
we could feel it, you know what I'm saying, so
that you could actually play that John straight.

Speaker 15 (44:13):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 23 (44:14):
So yeah, you know, once you you know, once the
standards come and play, you know, of course you can
make choices, but when you have new Christmas records that
people fall in love with, that's the only choice.

Speaker 8 (44:25):
That's why we decided not to make another one.

Speaker 5 (44:27):
Yeah yeah, yeah, please, But if y'all don't need to
because that that's one of my favorite albums.

Speaker 15 (44:33):
Thank you appreciate that.

Speaker 5 (44:36):
Why did you kill give Love on Christmas Daily? Because
that's my favorite Christmas song? Like y'all was singing these
Christmas songs like women were leaving y'alls because they were.

Speaker 7 (44:50):
That's all I had to give. I didn't have money
back then. All I have was loved off.

Speaker 9 (44:59):
Is there a song that you guys hate to do that? Like,
I just don't want to do that song, y'all looking
at you?

Speaker 8 (45:04):
I know what was one?

Speaker 10 (45:05):
This?

Speaker 2 (45:06):
I hate that song.

Speaker 15 (45:08):
I'll tell you why you hate it.

Speaker 23 (45:11):
So so so we're in Salt Lake City, we're on
and and uh the record label.

Speaker 8 (45:17):
I'm sure they have had something to do it this
the record label and was like, yo.

Speaker 23 (45:24):
We need a record for the Jackson's Mini series and
we wanted to be in the Still of the Night.

Speaker 8 (45:30):
Now.

Speaker 23 (45:30):
We could think of so many other records that we
would have been excited to do. You know what, I mean,
but they wanted in the still of the night. So okay,
it's a very easy record, guys, you know what I mean.
Of course, with our harmony structures, we kind of we
kind of do it a little bit different because it's
not the regular triad.

Speaker 15 (45:47):
The issue is is nobody wanted to sing the League.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
It was a day off weekend and we wanted to
go snowboll.

Speaker 23 (45:52):
Bill exactly right, exactly, so nobody wanted to sing the lead.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
So anything right, right?

Speaker 6 (45:59):
Right?

Speaker 23 (46:01):
No, no, no, hell no, we don't want to sing
the League because it's in the other night, right, So
we flip the coin. That's how we did every That's
how we That's how we cleared every alter case, every situation.

Speaker 15 (46:14):
We would just want to slip the coin.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
One and we left.

Speaker 8 (46:21):
I don't even remember, bro, I was so pissed off.

Speaker 28 (46:24):
I'm looking out the window, snow cap mountains, traumasies.

Speaker 4 (46:33):
So that new audition needs to do want to know that?

Speaker 29 (46:36):
Yeah, what's so all y'all hate to do familiar? It
will probably be you're not my kind of girl?

Speaker 7 (46:40):
What Yeah?

Speaker 4 (46:42):
Lyrics and leans in on the dance side.

Speaker 15 (46:45):
This one move that we do whatever you know, later on.

Speaker 4 (46:49):
My ass hurts every.

Speaker 5 (46:57):
Dance moves. Then like things you're not gonna touch this
time around on we.

Speaker 29 (47:00):
Are definitely gonna But I think we do want to
give people a different experience. Like MV said, some of
the classic stuff that people have come to know us for,
uh if it is in love, maybe even you're not

(47:20):
my kind of girl. Some of those things we're gonna
keep in place. We might add some variances, but I
think people want to see us do something new and fresh.
So we definitely want to give people a different experiences.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
But you can't ball players get older. They even got
to adjust their game, thank you.

Speaker 9 (47:43):
You got to expect that they want the same look
from twenty one.

Speaker 4 (47:47):
And he'd be like, you try, that's what you you try.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Sometimes Running Man just ran out.

Speaker 15 (47:56):
The Walking Man.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
When everybody broke off and had success outside in the audition,
did y'all ever look at each other and be like, no,
I didn't know they could do that, Like I didn't.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Know BBD can do that. I ain't nobody could do.

Speaker 15 (48:09):
That, not me.

Speaker 8 (48:10):
I was just static.

Speaker 30 (48:11):
Every time something blew up and somebody was winning, I
was static. I was at home, like they go, that's
Bobby was the dance entertainer, mastering our project. You know,
when we grow up, I just knew he was better
than all of us are dancing and entertaining and just
just being live.

Speaker 8 (48:28):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 30 (48:29):
He was that dude, and so not the world, the
world not being able to see that as a part
of our group, there was a big dynamic missing it.
So when he's when he stepped out and he did it,
it's like, yes, they get to see that we have
that in us too, because there was a lot of
stuff that was becoming real candy girl, real them boys
is real soft or this, and we don't get bubble

(48:52):
gum then, so you don't you don't hate it, but
you don't like it either. So having another body when
BBD started representing and Bobby started representing, Johnny's in the group.
Now he's doing his thing with his grown mass, it's
just turning everything to what we I really knew what
we had and letting the world see it. So for me,
it was just finally the world's getting a chance to
see what were really.

Speaker 8 (49:11):
Made out of.

Speaker 24 (49:11):
Ralph let me, let me, let me give you all
y'all flowers and say that there's been no group, white
or black that is done with new addition has done ever,
Not to me, not for us. There's never been a
group alive, past, present, or probably future that has been
a group broke up all with platinum, came back again
and went platinum again.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
The only one.

Speaker 15 (49:38):
Literally, Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 24 (49:40):
So I just want to just put that out there,
like they've done something that is unprecedented.

Speaker 15 (49:45):
Exactly.

Speaker 26 (49:46):
I would just say this, and Rizzo, you know, he's
always going to say it so eloquently because that's how
he speaks. But you know, Ralph's important. When he shows
up to do the show. It gives us a sense
of strength when he walks through the or it's like
Brady coming through the door.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
It is what it is.

Speaker 26 (50:04):
And you know when Bob is hurting or his leg
and he's just like, let's go, I'll just stand over here.
He's like, basically, I can't do that shit, but I'm
gonna rock this microphone. And that means everything to the
audience right when we're trying to make a decision. You know,
big Bro Johnny Gills, he's a heavy voice in our group.

(50:25):
You know, he's older, he's wiser, he's not just a singer,
but he's a leader by conversation and he keeps us
at a high standing. Just just some were not accepting
and that's just that. And in prayer, that's mister Ricky Bell.
Whenever we need to hear a good kind word, he'll
close the car. And that's so powerful to keep us together.

(50:49):
And of course, you know bro over there, when you
speaking about the dance moves, it's because he makes us
reach for excellence.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
And that's Ronnie.

Speaker 26 (50:57):
You know what I'm saying. When we want to go,
sit down and grab some water. Nah, nah, let's go
two more times. And you see that in his performance
on stage. So I was just gonna say what makes
us tight? What Ralph said is everyone brings something to
the table. And I want to say it on the
Breakfast Club because I don't know when we'll all be
back here together.

Speaker 8 (51:15):
Hold on, Mike before.

Speaker 30 (51:17):
Let me get to your sat before you finish, and
Mike slought is the point God thanks. He hands the
ball to everybody. He carries the ball, he knows next
play to make. He's thinking of the next play to make,
and he knows who to deliver the ball to to
make sure that we get we scored the basket.

Speaker 3 (51:33):
You know what I'm saying, We win the game.

Speaker 26 (51:35):
Yep, thanks bro. And I want to say this because
it ain't over. But because of this guy, you know,
he's matured. When I met him, he was just ready
to sponge get all the information. But if it wasn't
for Nate Morris, I would have never been to CEO. Really,
he's seen something in me that I didn't see in myself.

(51:56):
So I always wanted to tell him. I tell him
in Texas, I tell him on the phone, but I'm
gonna say it to the world. Thank you. He changed
my life. He helped me see something I didn't see.
I was nineteen. I know my words in cursing was heavy,
but that's because I loved y'all and I wanted y'all
to be the best, and I just wanted to stop.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
What did you see?

Speaker 28 (52:23):
He was a guy that kind of held the group together.
He had, you know, put everybody in different positions, and
at that point, I felt like, you know, it's a
group that we look up to. I mean, honestly, and
I mean I've never never told Mike, but I mean
he was he was my first hero in the music industry.
I mean, that's pretty much what it was. So for me,
it was like, if he can do that for them,

(52:45):
you got to be able to do it for us.

Speaker 30 (52:47):
And that's crazy, Like just like I thought there was
going to be.

Speaker 7 (52:59):
Real quick.

Speaker 8 (53:00):
But I'll.

Speaker 15 (53:04):
Here's the deal.

Speaker 8 (53:05):
We're gonna have our conversation.

Speaker 28 (53:07):
We ain't straight, but we know we ain't straight, and
but we all know we're gonna go get this money.

Speaker 8 (53:13):
We're gonna please these fans, and we're gonna figure out
what we gotta do.

Speaker 28 (53:17):
Either we're gonna fix it or not, but we all
gonna go out here and.

Speaker 8 (53:20):
Do what we That's a smarter move. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (53:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
Let me ask the question, Biff, if you could go
back and renegotiate that first deal with Boys and Men
with everything you know, now, what would you do different?

Speaker 8 (53:33):
That's a good question. That's a good question.

Speaker 26 (53:37):
So honestly, I think some of those deals was something
that Gerald suggested. See he's the one that said be
an executive. He said do a production due publishing or
I didn't even think like that, you know what I mean.
And at the same choken he was totally against it.
He didn't really like boys to men, you know, So

(53:57):
I'm fighting for them to be her than to be seen.
He helps me be structure stuff, And I thought that
it was a gamble. And the thing is like, we
never had a lawyer sit in the room with us
when we signed.

Speaker 3 (54:10):
It was just us.

Speaker 26 (54:11):
And we went through the paperwork and we just did it.
The good thing about it is it was successful, right,
and the record label. Honestly, the record label needed a
hit to keep the lights on, and we kept the
lights on right. Even in all of that. What was
the easier way to do it was fifty to fifty. Now, remember,

(54:33):
and their fifty is for them. In my fifty there's one.
And so a lot of the stuff that might, you know,
look a little different later, it's through success. So a
lot of that stuff there might have been, the things
that made it look a little crazy, made it feel
a little different, but.

Speaker 8 (54:50):
I can forget it crazy.

Speaker 26 (54:51):
Yeah, But at the end of the day, what was
able to come out of it and what was able
to do.

Speaker 3 (54:57):
We didn't fail, or we wouldn't be here.

Speaker 25 (55:00):
I was gonna say, Mike, and the fall that was
Joe was your mentor and just like what you know,
we were still talking about earlier about the guys talking
about us being their mentors. And it's so funny because
when you influenced or you're being taught the game, you're
rocking with the game. You're rocking with it and you're
learning as you go. But I can say this in
a nutshell. Listen, we all have been through a journey,

(55:22):
been through some ups and downs and changes and turnarounds
in our lives. And when you look at where we
are today, we're blessed. We're all blessed and guess what,
so what we had to go through to get here.
At the end of the day, here, I'm not mad
at anybody because this is like looking at God and
smacking them in the face because you're saying I'm mad
that you took me through this to get here. Towards day,

(55:44):
I'm grateful and nobody has walked the road and that
has been easy, and that has been just that simple.

Speaker 7 (55:50):
It doesn't work like that.

Speaker 15 (55:51):
I agree, I agree totally.

Speaker 23 (55:53):
I agree, Johnny, But you know, under the circumstances as
human beings, you know what I mean, emotions, emotions, me
and everything. As human beings, you know you have thought process.
We have to respect the human in each other because
it might be easier for some people to get over
things than others, you know what I'm saying. Like for me,
you know, my getting over it is very simple. I

(56:13):
was the youngest and I lived in the projects. This
man saved my life. You understand. He gave me an
opportunity by the grace of God. God saved my life
through bid He gave us the opportunity. So in my mind,
he did what he was supposed to do for me.
It was up to me to go the next to
the next place. It was up to us to do that,
and we did, you know what I mean, under the

(56:34):
circumstance of forgiveness and all of those things. A communication
is everything, you know what I mean, And it does
not take away from the fact that you guys are
our heroes, our mentors.

Speaker 8 (56:44):
Understand and be that way.

Speaker 28 (56:46):
And again, like I said, I don't I don't speak
much because I only want to speak about stuff that matters.
But in this case, like I said, you know, we've
been able to be where being the nucleus that we've
been for the last few years. And like Wan share,
we all just got into the room together for the
first time in a long time. And that's the feat

(57:08):
in itself. I would say, even with with whatever it
might be, whatever we'll handle or deal with whatever.

Speaker 8 (57:13):
It's a feat in itself.

Speaker 28 (57:14):
There's a lot of groups out here today that you know,
get emotional about things and don't know how to handle business.

Speaker 8 (57:19):
Correctly, right and the kids. You handle business first, and
then you handle your family stuff in the back room
and not on the internet in the media.

Speaker 28 (57:26):
So that being said again, it ain't nothing beloved in
this room. Whatever else we're gonna deal with, we'll deal
with us.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
Are y'all helping Boys and Men developed their biopic? I
remember there was rumors of a Boys Men biopick at
one time.

Speaker 8 (57:39):
It's not to see that.

Speaker 24 (57:41):
I mean, we're still in the embryonic stages of it,
still trying to get things together because we want to
make sure that the story is told the right way,
because there are a lot of things that by design,
we have not said. You know, there's been a lot
of things that's been mentioned about the group and said
about the group or the things that nature that we
just kind of watched the last thing left quiet, you

(58:01):
know what I'm saying, Because when you see the people
that are actually saying it, you gotta always consider the
source right, and when you see their positions and the
lives they're living and things that nature outside of all
of the shock value of oh, somebody said this, If
you look a little deeper, you say, oh, okay, that's

(58:21):
why they said that.

Speaker 8 (58:22):
Now, you know.

Speaker 24 (58:24):
The thing about the industry, though, is that everybody knows
everything about everybody. If I wanted to come on this
this radio show and talk about certain people, I know
I could because I know exactly what happened, who did it,
the whole nine yards.

Speaker 23 (58:41):
The issue is not us, though, you know what I mean.
It's the people. You know what I'm saying. Everyone has
an opinion, you know what I mean. They call it
social media, but there's nothing social about it at all,
you know what I mean. The thought process about it
is when someone says something about you, it's fine, especially
if it's true. I don't care. But I'm tired of

(59:03):
people lying about us. They lie about us, and we
never say nothing. Well, I got a messed up knee,
I got three schools in it, and and I'm getting
myself together.

Speaker 28 (59:17):
Before you go there, I want to give him an
example of how we don't say anything like people been
talking about our fourth member forever oh, y'all did this
to him. Y'all kicked him out, he was sick. Y'all
ain't giving it about him. Y'all don't know the story.
And that's okay because we keep that in. But I
tell you one thing we've never done. We've never said
anything about him until the latter years, to make sure
that man, if he's not here, he can have a career.

(59:39):
Absolutely absolutely on him.

Speaker 15 (59:42):
You don't do that.

Speaker 28 (59:43):
So we don't do that. That's not I mean, I'm
the least social media guy on the planet. Yes, yes,
no need for I don't live in that space, so
it's no need to go in there and deal with
all the craziness because we're gonna have a lot of out.

Speaker 23 (59:54):
So when someone is doing that and telling stories like
literally fabricated stories, I feel like it's just felt like time,
you know, time to defend the integrity of my group,
of my fellas, myself, you know what I mean. And look,
I'm not gonna say boys to men. We we was
the cleanest on the planet earth. You know what I'm saying.

(01:00:16):
We did some stuff, you know what I'm saying, a
lot of people, you know, I'm pretty sure we put
some people off, you know what I mean? And right,
But at the end of the day, we were trying
to protect our brand.

Speaker 15 (01:00:28):
We were trying to protect it.

Speaker 23 (01:00:29):
We didn't have Michael Bibbins over us anymore to protect us.

Speaker 15 (01:00:33):
We didn't have ky Lil Rountree. He got murdered, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 23 (01:00:36):
We were trying to figure out all kinds of things managerial.
We have Michael Jackson and Prince telling us to know
your words and don't let nobody get over on you,
you know.

Speaker 15 (01:00:45):
So we developed a hip, a ship.

Speaker 23 (01:00:49):
We started looking at everybody like, oh no, you're not
going to do this to us.

Speaker 15 (01:00:53):
You're not going to do this to us.

Speaker 23 (01:00:54):
So when they hear our voices because we were so
silent because everybody else was doing it for us. As
you know, you understand, just because we're in the studio
and we're working on a project does not mean that
we're going to be consorting. That's not what boys to
men do. When we're in the studio, we work. We
don't have.

Speaker 15 (01:01:10):
Time to play games, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 23 (01:01:13):
Because we have a we have to please these fans,
you know, So when someone is saying you know that
we said something as specific about a friend of ours.

Speaker 20 (01:01:28):
Come on, and I saw you jump in the comments
of the and say what you said.

Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
But so why now even address that if you know it's.

Speaker 15 (01:01:37):
Not truly because I got time, I got a messed
up knee.

Speaker 4 (01:01:41):
I was sitting on the damn.

Speaker 23 (01:01:45):
I was sitting on the damn couch. I couldn't get up,
I couldn't drive. I was watching cartoons and playing PlayStation
and I saw that and I said, this will be fun.
And guess what it was. It was very fun because
I got a chance to let the people who really
cared on that page no that it was a lie.

Speaker 7 (01:02:06):
Man.

Speaker 23 (01:02:06):
You could choose to take it for wherever you want.
I'm just trying to figure out where it came from.
I never said anything derogatory about Chili. If you read
the comments, I said, I love those girls. I said,
we have history together. I'm just trying to figure out
what happened. I mean, we heard that Tian said after
the past of my thing, I ain't staying for this
corny ass, corny ass show. That's what you know what

(01:02:26):
I'm saying. And I'm like, why, I love you, We
love y'all. Like the nostalgia when we walk into the
room and they jump into our I mean Chili used
to jump into our arms line.

Speaker 15 (01:02:35):
It's like, what's going on.

Speaker 26 (01:02:36):
At the end of the day, we were just gonna
sell some tickets because to be honest with you, this
where we are and what we're trying to do. Were
trying to inspire absolutely absolutely, and you guys, this movie
is gonna be a great movie. It's gonna be from
your point of view. Your fans are gonna love it,
and we just want them to come to this absolute

(01:02:57):
they could see us together because we've never this absolutely,
you know, and this this is really our first interview.
So the Breakfast Club is really the first interview of
us all together.

Speaker 25 (01:03:11):
Can I just say to you guys and boys and man,
let me just say this and I'll shut up. But
I'm glad that you guys are telling your story because
in the world that we're living in now with social
media and everybody can get on there and say what
they want, ruin people's lives, run a reputation, they can
do a number of things.

Speaker 7 (01:03:27):
It is important. No, you can't fight the whole world.

Speaker 25 (01:03:29):
No, we'll never be able to change Sometimes people no
matter whether it's the truth or not. But when it
comes from the horse's mouth and it's written in stone.

Speaker 7 (01:03:37):
It can't be raised. Can't tell your story nothing else.

Speaker 25 (01:03:40):
At the end of the day, with your legacy, anybody
want to believe, whether they want to believe, that's all.
It's all well and fine, but it has come from
the horse's mouth directly.

Speaker 24 (01:03:50):
Yeah, so the answer, yes, we're working on the biopic.
Bib is definitely going to put his input into it
and working.

Speaker 8 (01:03:59):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 23 (01:03:59):
So because it's everybody's story, everybody every it's everybody's story,
but the stuff they want and everybody was touching on
man and people that were saying they corny, a corn ball.

Speaker 4 (01:04:10):
I can't wait get your tickets.

Speaker 9 (01:04:12):
If you haven't got your tickets yet, talking about thirty thirty,
I'm sure it's gonna be more than that because they
have to ask ye out so fast.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
I'm just having grown folks. Got something to do, man.

Speaker 9 (01:04:22):
Man, no addition boys to man, thank you for joining us.

Speaker 4 (01:04:27):
It's the breakfast Club.

Speaker 7 (01:04:34):
Don't be out here acting like a donkey.

Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
He bitch, it's time for Donkey of the day. I'm
a big boy. I could take it if you feel
I deserve it. Ain't no big dep I know, charlottagea
god have funnest saut his mouth. You got to say
something you may not agree with. Doesn't mean I'm meaning
who's getting that? Donk that donkey that.

Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
Don't don't don't don't don't donk the other day right there.

Speaker 23 (01:04:55):
The breakfast club, bitch you you can call me the
donkey of the day, but like I mean, no harm.

Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
Yes, donk here today for Thursday, October thirtieth, goes to
a Detroit police officer named Matthew Jackson. Okay, good morning, Matthew,
all right, salute to everybody who listens to us on
WJLB ninety seven point nine and Detroit dropping the clues
bombs for WJLB. What I'm down, Detroit would up dope. Now,
I don't know about y'all, but that COVID era, when
everything was on zoom, it seemed like it was just yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
But that was like six years ago.

Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
You know what I'm saying, right right, But that time
period is such a part of our existence. Okay, the
way humans did everything changed, all right, The way we
communicated with each other change, the way we interacted with
each other changed and some things did change for the better,
but some things actually changed for the worst, and I
want some of those things that change for the worst
to change back.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
All right, case in point court right, court is a
serious situation.

Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
I personally believe if I have a court appearance, if
it's required for me to be there in person, then
I want to be there in person. If it's not
required for me to be there, then I won't go.
But what I won't do is ever do it virtually.
No no, no, no no, it's too much room for error. Okay,
we've seen people virtually being caught for having a suspended
driver's license and then they pop up on the zoom driving. Okay,

(01:06:10):
that's the level of idiocracy me no. Like, And Officer
Matthew Jackson has decided to write his own chapter in
the book of ideocracy because he had a hearing for
a reckless driving and public intoxication case.

Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
Now, this is a police officer, or he identified himself
as a police officer. He might be trans police. I'm
not sure.

Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
Okay, he had a uniform, but it is not lost
on me that Halloween is Friday, so he could have
been in costume. But even if he was in costume.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
He left a very important part of the costume at Spirit.
What what do you.

Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Mean, Uncle Sharlot, He left a very important part of
the costume at Spirit.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Well, let's go to NBC four for the report Police.

Speaker 31 (01:06:47):
We've all had this nightmare. A Detroit police officer showed
up in court without pants.

Speaker 32 (01:06:54):
Fast number thirty nine nineteen out of a twelve precent,
you gots.

Speaker 8 (01:07:01):
No, sir.

Speaker 31 (01:07:02):
The officer appeared in the thirty six District Court over
zoom regarding a public intoxication case. When he appeared on camera,
he was in uniform. From the waist up. He was
wearing boxers. The judge proceeded with the case without mentioning
the clothing situation. According to the thirty six District Courts policy,

(01:07:23):
business attires preferred, or really any clothing at all.

Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
We're on Twitch right now, Breakfast club.

Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
Am I hope that y'all saw the way Envy looked
at me when he heard that officer didn't have pants on. Okay,
you know, Envy always says he loves a man in uniform,
so for him, that's the best of both world.

Speaker 4 (01:07:40):
I never said that a man with a uniform.

Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
At the top and boxes at the bottom, dropping the
clothes bombs for Envy's preference.

Speaker 4 (01:07:46):
Shit, don't you drop by? Put that bomb back?

Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Put out?

Speaker 7 (01:07:51):
You na?

Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
This man showed up to the zoom hearing with no
pants on.

Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
Okay, you do know that you can see yourself on zoom,
Officer Jackson. Okay, you looked into the camera, saw you
didn't have pants on, and still decided to continue about
your day.

Speaker 8 (01:08:05):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
A police officer at that? All right? A police officer.

Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
Well, apparently protecting serve doesn't extend to protecting the camera angle. Okay,
what happened to professionalism, Officer Jackson?

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
All right?

Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
Police officers require dignified and professional attire. You can't have
asked that, Officer Jackson, and you have asked it literally. Okay,
you was dignified and professional up top because you had
your uniform on, but you had half your ass out
at the bottom. You can't be business up top, but
only fans below.

Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
The judge supposed to be asking you legal questions. Instead
he had to ask you if you got some pants on?

Speaker 14 (01:08:43):
Sir?

Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
Do we have that clip?

Speaker 7 (01:08:45):
Was it? An?

Speaker 3 (01:08:46):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (01:08:46):
Dang?

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
He had to ask if you got some pants on? Sir, Oh,
we do have it. Oh, good morning to you.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Can you put your appearance on the record, please?

Speaker 32 (01:08:55):
Yes, Officer Jackson, bask number thirty nine nineteen out of a
twelve precinct.

Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
You got.

Speaker 8 (01:09:02):
Officer in the No.

Speaker 1 (01:09:05):
Sir, that's something your mom yells at you before she
walks into your bedroom. Okay, you got some pants on, right,
This is ridiculous. I'm just glad you had on boxes
because the only thing that should be swinging in the
court is the judge's gabble. And I don't even know
if you have any hangtime because I don't, so I
hope you don't because I have.

Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
Hate her tendencies.

Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
This is what I mean when I say Zoom changed
everything because on the thirty six District Court website it
says casual business.

Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
Attire is preferred. How does that apply to Zoom?

Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
Okay? Have those rules been defined? Is what this man
doing a crime? Probably not? But I just want him
to know and want better for himself.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
That's what I want.

Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
I want him to know and want better for himself.
You have to know that you got to show up
what your full uniform on. Okay, you should know that
you got to do better. He saw himself. He know
he had no business looking like that on zoom. He
wouldn't walk out the house with his uniform top on
and some boxing briefs down below.

Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
So don't do it on zoom. Okay. I will say, though,
the Zoom hearings have done something the police department never could,
and that's they finally caught an officer with his pants down. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
The only thing that could have made this incident more
ridiculous is if the officer was being charged with indecent
exposure and his defense is literally more in decent exposure.
Please give author Officer Matthew Jackson the sweet sounds of
the Hamiltons.

Speaker 7 (01:10:29):
Oh no, you are the dog gee.

Speaker 5 (01:10:34):
Of the day, the dogee.

Speaker 8 (01:10:41):
All the day.

Speaker 14 (01:10:43):
Yee.

Speaker 7 (01:10:47):
You don't play game?

Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
Why you want to play a game for what?

Speaker 8 (01:10:52):
Though?

Speaker 2 (01:10:52):
All right, sure, let's play a game of yes what racing?

Speaker 7 (01:10:57):
All right?

Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
DJ Interview.

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
I don't like I don't like how you said quick
to do that, bro, I'm not even gonna lie to
you like that's the Dominican in you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
I don't know why you so quick? They always want
to think the worst the black people. Why because I
do the same like you do? The same.

Speaker 9 (01:11:13):
What when I'm on zoom, I use it a lot
of pants on? And he just he just didn't it
just the camera angle.

Speaker 5 (01:11:18):
Should be doing a lot of zooms with other DJs sometimes.
Why don't you have pants on when you're.

Speaker 4 (01:11:23):
Doing I'm just waking out.

Speaker 7 (01:11:26):
I'm just waking up.

Speaker 9 (01:11:27):
You just put on the top and keep it moving,
and y'all lying if y'all think, y'all do zooms and
y'all fully clothed.

Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
I know I'm always fully clothed zoom. I might have
want some basketball shorts, and I ain't sitting there with
no box.

Speaker 4 (01:11:36):
Boxes because when you get up, they still see you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:40):
And I think about stuff like this. You just never
know what could happen. I always do a zoom with at.

Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
Least some basketball shorts on, he said, I don't, I don't,
just hilarious. Officer Matthew Jackson from Detroit got on the zoom,
had his uniform on at the top, but had his
boxes on at the bottom.

Speaker 4 (01:11:59):
Cars what race is? Why?

Speaker 5 (01:12:06):
Matthew Jackson?

Speaker 1 (01:12:08):
Okay, okay, come on Jackson, okay, okay, okay, okay. Detroy Coy,
you know I want DJ Nvy and Jessellarius to know
that they're both absolutely correct. Officer badging balls. He is
absolutely a black man.

Speaker 5 (01:12:28):
Hey, yah, chill, alright, oh that was obvious though.

Speaker 4 (01:12:35):
All right, well, thank you for that donkey of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
Yes, indeed, all right.

Everybody is j n V, Jess, Hilaris Charlamagne, the God.
We are the Breakfast Club. It's time for just fix
my mess.

Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
Hello, who's this?

Speaker 14 (01:13:24):
Hey?

Speaker 21 (01:13:25):
This is Cait.

Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
Hey.

Speaker 21 (01:13:28):
So my problem is that I'm dealing with somebody who
I was with for six months and everything was going good.
I started dealing with custody battles with my son's dad.
So he offered to, you know, take my kids to school.
He only did it for about a week and a half,
and I would ask him every single day, you know,
just to still confirm that he was okay with doing it.
And this one particular day I asked him and he

(01:13:49):
was just like, you know, I don't like the way
you asked me.

Speaker 3 (01:13:52):
You know.

Speaker 21 (01:13:52):
I talked to him like, can you take the kids
to school? And he's like, you need to reword there.
I don't like the way you ask me. It's about
the respect and the clarity of things. So I was
just like, you know, well, if I have to ask
a certain way, then I was just taking them to
school myself. So I took him to school that day.
But the next day it was kind of tension, and
he's just like, you know, you're overreacting. I just wanted

(01:14:14):
you to ask me a certain way. That's not my
kid anyways, He's really not my responsibility, and you know,
you're making it feel like a job and the obligation
by the way you asked me that question. I literally said,
verbatim are ken you well, not Keny. I just said,
you're taking the kids to school, question mark, So I
never assumed that he was taking them, you know. I
asked him still, but I guess I didn't ask him

(01:14:35):
the way he wanted me to ask him. So I
felt like it was very petty. So I set on
my feelings for a few, like twenty four hours, and
the next day I decided to part ways for him
because I was like, you know, I didn't really like
the fact that you kept saying, you know, that's not
my kid, that's not my responsibility. When if you have
longevity plans with me and my child, you know, eventually
it would be you know, so, but I kind of
feel bad about doing it. So I'm like, you know,

(01:14:57):
did I make the right decision or was I overreacting?

Speaker 5 (01:14:59):
You know, I don't think you overreacted. I do think
you your first reaction was that of a mother, you
know what I mean, because you don't want to be
in a relationship with somebody who does not honor the
package that you came with, and your package in this
case would be your child, Like you don't you know,
I mean your children, you know, right, your child or children?

Speaker 21 (01:15:19):
I just had one kid.

Speaker 5 (01:15:21):
Yeah, so your child. Yeah, and you knew this prior
to dating me, and you know, prior to making that official.
I'm assuming you know you know this. And then you
said he offered to take him, and then only.

Speaker 21 (01:15:31):
For like when you offered, and I was still asked
every day, you know, just to make sure that he
was up to do it, because I didn't want to
just assume like this because you said you was taking
him that week, that you were going to be taking
them every day up until this.

Speaker 5 (01:15:42):
No, I totally understand. I don't think you should feel
bad about what you did. He should feel bad the
way that he blew up and then it sounds like
it was like built up, right, so be cause if
you say that like you're not even my child anyway,
that's something that you've been wanting to say, you know
what I'm saying, Like, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:15:59):
He doesn't have the kids.

Speaker 21 (01:16:00):
He's older, he's thirty nine with no kids. So okay,
now I'm twenty seven and my son is eight, so
I'm not dealing with a baby, you know, I'm I
have a well the word child, and he's just around
him for a short amount of time, and I really
wasn't comfortable with.

Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
That, but it was just you know, we may ask
your question just a young lady.

Speaker 9 (01:16:17):
But it could be since he doesn't have any kids,
he doesn't know what responsibility is for having a child,
because if you don't have kids, Yeah, taking a kid
once or twice, it's like, yeah, I'll.

Speaker 4 (01:16:24):
Take that, I'll take you.

Speaker 6 (01:16:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:16:25):
But then it's like, this ain't well, slow down, Like
where's this relationship going. He s ain't my kid, This
ain't my responsibility. Are we taking it that serious? Or
this is just a flinging that we just happen.

Speaker 4 (01:16:34):
But that's my thing. They're not just a fling.

Speaker 5 (01:16:35):
They're together, correct, Yeah, we look together. Relationship, same house situation, right, No,
well I.

Speaker 21 (01:16:42):
Have my house, he at his house, but I would
stay at his house nice and he will. He told me,
he's like, you know, if I'm going to work those
days and I'm going to his school's direction, I'll take
him to school and then whatever other days, you know,
you could take him.

Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
Possibility.

Speaker 5 (01:16:54):
So it just sounded like he was down to assist you,
like down to help you, not take on the job
of being the full time driver to take him to school.
You know what I'm saying, like to commit in that.

Speaker 21 (01:17:03):
Now, it's okay with that. That's why I asked every day,
just to make sure, you know, hey, are you taking him?
Or am I taking him? But that's not really how
he made it.

Speaker 5 (01:17:10):
Thing okay, So all right, so now okay, thank you
Envy for interjecting, because now I kind of see it. Okay.
So he should have been clear and then y'all, y'all
should have had like a real conversation about it, and
he should have just said, I'm not going to do
this every day, but I'll help you out when you
really need it, you know what I mean, Because I
am your boyfriend, we are together. Your child is you know,

(01:17:31):
like it's my child too, you know, you know, in
a relationship respectfully, that's how you're supposed to treat somebody's
child that you're with like your own.

Speaker 4 (01:17:39):
But yeah, I think it's worth a conversation.

Speaker 5 (01:17:41):
I still don't think you should feel better about breaking
up with him, you know what I mean, because like
I said, I felt like it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
Was built up.

Speaker 5 (01:17:45):
I felt like he couldn't wait to say that, you
know what I'm saying, or come out with that way.

Speaker 21 (01:17:50):
How I feel as a parent because it's like, I
don't think you don't have kids, but you know, you
can still at least make me feel valid about it, like,
you know, hey, why didn't you need to make him
feel like better? I wasn't say it like that.

Speaker 6 (01:18:00):
That was never the case.

Speaker 21 (01:18:00):
When I tried to double back and break down how
I felt, and you know, before I even after the breakup,
he like basically ill said what I said.

Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
Okay, so listen, listen. You say you've only been together
for six months, right right? Okay, Well look if he
said what he said, now times out of tenny thirty
nine with no kids, he don't want any, you know
what I'm saying, I don't know, not even gonna go
into the issues of not being able to have and
he probably don't want any, you know, But y'all can
be friends and you can focus on parenting and focus

(01:18:29):
on dating somebody that will actually accept you and your
child together and wouldn't have a problem with, you know,
helping you out from time to time, taking them to school,
you know. But that that's yeah, I think you made
the right decision.

Speaker 9 (01:18:43):
And also think about it, Mama, it's a lot like
you just fixed my message, I know, but I'm gonna say,
I'm gonna say one thing. I don't just ask to,
but I would say it's a lot because I have
kids and taking my kids every day sometimes I'll be tired.

Speaker 8 (01:18:57):
Is issue?

Speaker 4 (01:18:57):
Well you got six, she got one, right, you know?

Speaker 5 (01:19:01):
So yeah, but yes, I think you made the right decision.
It's nothing, but I would say, still, it's worth a
conversation because you were with this guy for the last
six months. It's a conversation just to have, but to
get that closure and conclude that correctly. Like I I
don't think this is somebody that you should be with,
but I do think that it's worth a conversation. Like

(01:19:22):
you know, I didn't like that, you know, just to
get your point across. But do it subtly, you know
what I'm saying. It don't have to be a disrespectful conversation.

Speaker 21 (01:19:28):
Okay, no problem.

Speaker 9 (01:19:30):
Not just if this guy treats him right, does everything
he's supposed to do as a companion, but he just
doesn't have the fatherhood thing because he did, it's no connection.
You still say, bounce. You see all your these single
women out here that can't find a man.

Speaker 5 (01:19:44):
But no, no, this is the baby from a previous relations.

Speaker 4 (01:19:49):
But what I'm saying, you know, I understand you found
the right man, but he just don't have that quality.

Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
You wouldn't leave right in the head.

Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
Talk to me, Jess, what do you say?

Speaker 5 (01:19:57):
My thing is he knew she had a child? Do
you know what I'm saying? And I felt like you
still don't say you still don't say. But this ain't
my shot anyway. I'm not about to be doing all
this like you. It's how you actually need to ask
me right because it's not my child anyway. Like I
ain't about to be doing all that. If you you
had that ish backed up like you, you had that
was building up. You've been wanted to say that to.

Speaker 2 (01:20:17):
Me you're not listening to be saying is telling you
that a good man is hard to find.

Speaker 4 (01:20:20):
And he shut up. Man, Just fix my mask. Call
this up right now. It's the breakfast cloak god morning.
That's about me.

Speaker 5 (01:20:30):
For relationship problems, at about me. If you need to
beat your coworker's ass, at about me, for your coworker
needs to beat your ass, call it up, doctor Jess,
And I'm here to fix your mask.

Speaker 4 (01:20:40):
Fix your mask.

Speaker 5 (01:20:41):
He's getting very much messy. Let me fix this morning.

Speaker 9 (01:20:44):
Everybody is dj n V, Jess hilarious, Charlamage the guy.

Speaker 4 (01:20:48):
We are the breakfast club we're in the middle of.
Just fix my mess alone?

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
Who's this? What's up?

Speaker 6 (01:20:53):
Brother?

Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
What's your question for Jess?

Speaker 3 (01:20:54):
And Jess?

Speaker 14 (01:20:55):
All right, I'm going to keep keep quick. Girl that
I've been dating for a year and a half.

Speaker 6 (01:21:00):
Right, we recently broke up because I've said something disrespectful
to her, right, and I told her that the thing
that she did is is something I didn't agree with.

Speaker 14 (01:21:10):
Right.

Speaker 6 (01:21:11):
So now we're in this weird position like where we
still and stuff, but we're not together. Here's my question, Right,
she'll bring certain things up financially, and I don't know
if I'm supposed to help her because I care about
her and I do ultimately want to end up ut
with her, or.

Speaker 14 (01:21:28):
I just did that and try and move on.

Speaker 5 (01:21:31):
What happened? Like, what was it that you all right?

Speaker 8 (01:21:36):
With her? All right?

Speaker 6 (01:21:37):
So she currently is not working right, and she was
talking about how she wanted to start the normal fans very.

Speaker 14 (01:21:43):
Pretty girl, So I told her, well, if you want
to be an internet hole, go ahead and do that.
But I'm not with that, Okay, God, Yeah, she got up,
she got upset, blocked me, told me she didn't want
to talk to me no more. That was about a
week ago. But now we're just like kind's really friends
are now talking face turning. But we're not together.

Speaker 4 (01:22:03):
Let me make that to that for sure.

Speaker 5 (01:22:05):
After you called me an internet hole. Absolutely we're not together.
But okay, go ahead proceed.

Speaker 6 (01:22:10):
And now it's like when she says certain things that
she needs help with or things that's got to do
with her son, I'm not sure should I be a
man and help her or I just let her figure
that out?

Speaker 23 (01:22:21):
Agree.

Speaker 5 (01:22:22):
I mean, well, you don't want her to be an
internet hole. And that was the row she was about
to take. So she's like, all right, well, you ain't
gonna let me do what I want to do. You
do you wanna to what's up? Like you're gonna have
to send some funds over but all drops aside, Okay, listen.
So because I understand where you're coming from, However, your
delivery in what you said was not the right way
to assess that, sir. You could have said so many

(01:22:43):
other things. You could have put it another way where
you didn't offend her. Because only fans is not only
for freaky ish. Okay, so you got people on there
that's paying seventy dollars a month to watch people play
with their feet.

Speaker 14 (01:22:56):
Yeah, but she wasn't gonna do it for that. It
was going to be fore you suck.

Speaker 5 (01:23:01):
Oh so okay, so yeah, you don't want an Internet hole.

Speaker 7 (01:23:04):
And you say so.

Speaker 14 (01:23:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:23:06):
And the thing is, before she had this, like I
was taking care of her, her her son, like anything
she needed.

Speaker 2 (01:23:14):
Okay, the way, it was no problem.

Speaker 14 (01:23:17):
But now we're not together, so I'm not doing that now.

Speaker 5 (01:23:20):
Okay, all right, So how old are you? If you
don't mind me asking, I'm thirty four. How old a shit?

Speaker 14 (01:23:25):
She's twenty seven?

Speaker 5 (01:23:26):
Okay, Let that little girl be a little Internet hole.
Let her go do her thing, and you move on,
because I'm gonna tell you something right now. She ain't
gonna get it until she's in her thirties or probably
forties or whatever. But what is wrong with another type
of job?

Speaker 3 (01:23:40):
You know?

Speaker 5 (01:23:40):
You just go straight from I'm broke to OnlyFans or
you know. I know, it's so many other things that
I'm sure she can do, but she wants to make
easy money. And if that is that, that doesn't align
with your morals and who you you know, what you
stand for. That ain't the one for you. How long
you were dating? How long were you dating her?

Speaker 2 (01:23:58):
A year and a half?

Speaker 5 (01:23:59):
Yeah, I know, I'm sorry, don't don't.

Speaker 7 (01:24:02):
Don't.

Speaker 5 (01:24:02):
I think that's a long enough time, you know, to
be secure in a relationship with somebody. But it's not.
It's not five years or three years, you know what
I'm saying. So I think you, I think you made
the right decision.

Speaker 4 (01:24:16):
You You didn't have to.

Speaker 5 (01:24:18):
You didn't have to address her like that, you didn't
have to call her an internet hole. But I do
think that she is not for you. You are not
her person and she is not yours. That's what she
want to do. Go ahead, go ahead, because you just
seem like the money man. You seem like a you know,
a young sugar dad. If you will appreciate that, right,
don't you need to go and find somebody on your

(01:24:39):
level and who will not be trying to start No OnlyFans,
uh uh, I ain't doing that?

Speaker 8 (01:24:45):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:24:46):
Just fix my mess eight hundred five eighty five one
five when we come back. We got the ladies with Lauren,
So don't move. It's to Breakfast Club.

Speaker 8 (01:24:52):
Good morning, the Breakfast Club.

Speaker 2 (01:24:59):
Okay, so right now, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:25:04):
You don't see all the o g is doing covers
to it, like Tony Braxton and put her little song.

Speaker 20 (01:25:10):
That was the part of Kaylney's rollout for the song.
And it was amazing. She did so many different brandy
yeah yeah, and she was doing single moms. They were
able to come and get laundry done in certain cities
as well too. I saw that in the beginning when
she first dropped this song, that's dope her.

Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
That one load of clothes.

Speaker 4 (01:25:27):
Oh my god, you've never been damn. She gets the
from somebody that knows somebody detail.

Speaker 5 (01:25:40):
It was a little bit about everything.

Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
She'd be having the Latest on the Latest with Lauren
la Rosa.

Speaker 1 (01:25:47):
Sometimes you have facts, sometimes you have details, sometimes you
have a little bit everything on the Breakfast Clubs.

Speaker 2 (01:25:53):
Talk to brand l Bak.

Speaker 20 (01:25:56):
Okay, y'all, we got a lot to get to in
this hour, all right, but I'm going to start off
with Delaware State University in Norfolk State University, Deshaun Jackson
versus Mike Vic happening today at the Lincoln Financial Field
in Philadelphia.

Speaker 5 (01:26:10):
Yes, so yesterday Stephen A.

Speaker 20 (01:26:12):
Smith and Kim Newton, the First Take team, were at
Delaware State and they spoke to Deshaun Jackson while on
campus just about you know what this whole moment means
and why he's chosen to become an HBCU football coach.
Let's take a listen to DeShawn Jackson on beating odds.

Speaker 33 (01:26:28):
For me, I always had the feed, feed on land, feet,
feed on feet on the ground mentality. You know, it's
a lot of obstacles to present yourself at HBCUs. Right,
you know the resources and you know, but at the
end of the day, I never got into how hard
it may be because you know, my career was hard.
Like you know, I didn't come in with glimpse and
glamorous careers.

Speaker 16 (01:26:45):
Right.

Speaker 33 (01:26:45):
I was undersized, I was smaller, so they said I
wouldn't make it. So that's the same approach I'll take here.

Speaker 14 (01:26:49):
Right.

Speaker 33 (01:26:49):
You know when we when we were challenged, right, we
was projected to be the last and to me act
so be it. You know, we come in and we
got a long schedule ahead of us. But you know,
every day if we want to go one and know
we want to win the day, right, we don't want to.

Speaker 8 (01:27:00):
Be one percent better.

Speaker 14 (01:27:01):
We want to be two percent better and.

Speaker 15 (01:27:03):
It's a challenge.

Speaker 33 (01:27:03):
But I'm blessed to be here because I know one
thing that them dudes back there, they're hungry, man.

Speaker 8 (01:27:07):
They ready for the success.

Speaker 15 (01:27:09):
And we don't forget the projections.

Speaker 5 (01:27:11):
Did y'all hear that crowd? It was live now.

Speaker 20 (01:27:14):
Good Morning America also spoke to Deshan Jackson and Mike
Vick with the teams. They're at Lincoln Financial Field. Let's
take a listen to the two coaches on how the
game will go today?

Speaker 7 (01:27:24):
Was it like to be.

Speaker 32 (01:27:25):
Facing off against each other as friends and also foremger
teammates thought, you de John some.

Speaker 8 (01:27:31):
Much surreal honesty.

Speaker 14 (01:27:32):
Man.

Speaker 33 (01:27:32):
Who could ever thought we'd have been facing each other
where We created a lot of memories and scored some
legendary players for us as an opportunity man, it needs
more people like us in this position to be able
to cut help inspire these young mens in their life.

Speaker 15 (01:27:43):
So the challenge is presented. We're really supposed to not
be close to each other or nothing. It's still my brother,
but I'm excited for the night.

Speaker 14 (01:27:49):
Man.

Speaker 17 (01:27:50):
You Mike, it's amazing man. You know, deshonn and I
talked about this when we first took the job, that
you know, we'll actually have a chance to play against
each other for years and years, and you know, who
knows how long it's gonna last. So we make We're
gonna make a count while we got an opportunity. And man,
just to be you know, across the field from a brother,
it's just an honor, man, And we're gonna enjoy every

(01:28:10):
minute of it. And we're definitely gonna talk trash each other,
you know that for.

Speaker 1 (01:28:14):
Michael Victims and Shawn Jackson. Man, I love to see
those days. By the way, you know I'm saying, just
set the tone, know what I'm saying. This was the
blueprint for that. So salute you know Deon Sanders. There's
been that position other people before. What's his name is
Eddie George, Eddie George George, somebody else. A couple of
other people were missing. Well, when people stand, when they
go to Delaware, they stay in Philly. Oh yeah, okay,

(01:28:38):
they didn't stay in Delaware.

Speaker 3 (01:28:42):
With us.

Speaker 7 (01:28:42):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 5 (01:28:45):
To get you in Delaware so the people can tell.

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
You In expressing Middletown.

Speaker 20 (01:28:49):
Middletown first of all, Middletown is not even in Dover
staying okay, stay.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
In super Castle, y'all.

Speaker 20 (01:28:57):
Don't project that on us, because you're still figuring out
y'all our houses down there where you.

Speaker 7 (01:29:03):
All right?

Speaker 20 (01:29:06):
When the news of this game first dropped, they moved
it to Lincoln Financial Field because of that, because they
were projecting so many people. I talked to the president
of Delaware State University, doctor Tony Allen, who told me
that they have now sold over.

Speaker 5 (01:29:18):
Forty two thousand tickets for this game the end of
the day.

Speaker 20 (01:29:23):
Yes, me too, And I asked them too, because you know,
you got DeShawn Jackson and Mike Vig doing all of
these press hits and the conversations are happening. I remember
when Dashawn announced that he was coming to the school,
a lot of people thought, oh, this is just a
publicity sum for him, as if he needed it, right.
But I also asked doctor Tony Allen, what are some
of the things that have happened at the school just

(01:29:44):
in the time that DeShawn has announced that he.

Speaker 5 (01:29:46):
Would be there, that he's been a part of.

Speaker 20 (01:29:47):
So he told me that they've broken enrollment records again
for the fourth time in the last five years at
Delaware State University. Also there's a has been a fifteen
percent increase in state funding. They received thirty five million
dollars total. Twenty million of that goes to the athletics department.
The other part will go to just like funding and scholarships.
And Deshaun was directly involved in that. He went to

(01:30:08):
the legislator's meeting to argue for more money and because
of that, they've been able to give a lot more
full scholarships to It's something called the Inspired Scholarship program.
I was an inspired student. So these are students who
come you got to have a certain GPA, you come from,
like you know, communities where.

Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
You need some help.

Speaker 5 (01:30:25):
They four years for a ride of school.

Speaker 20 (01:30:27):
And that means now seventy five percent of the instate
population are inspired scholars and going to school.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
I love that one individual can change everything. Man with
Shawn Jackson. That's why your president matters in them spaces.

Speaker 9 (01:30:39):
And you know, you know what when we were at Hampton,
I was speaking to the athletic director at Hampton and
he was saying, what these schools are going to start
doing is they're going to start asking for one thousand
dollars for alumni for you know, however.

Speaker 4 (01:30:51):
Whoever can afford them. And I'm gonna tell you but
but this is what they want to do.

Speaker 5 (01:30:55):
Don't forget your plus one.

Speaker 4 (01:30:56):
But this is what they want to do as much
as they can.

Speaker 9 (01:30:58):
But the reason they want to do it is so
they can give these students and il deals so instead
of having to go to these other big schools, they
can still get some money from going to an HBCU
and and that way their bills will be paid, their
you know, their family back home will be paid. So
they're gonna start putting that infrastructure so that you know,
students at HBCUs can get a lot more money, which I.

Speaker 4 (01:31:16):
Yes, I love it.

Speaker 5 (01:31:17):
I love to see it. And the other big announcements.

Speaker 2 (01:31:20):
Okay, drum.

Speaker 5 (01:31:23):
Drum roll, we need a drum rolls, a celebratory day,
we need shots. Yeah, I am officially an author guy.

Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
This is so dope.

Speaker 5 (01:31:40):
So I'm pleased toone else that I'm dropping my first
books until death do we Parents. And it basically is
a co parenting memoir, right that reflects on the journey
of my years of raising my son with his father.
And it's not a lot of people ask me how
me and Rome got to this point, right. It wasn't
easy and then I up and overnight. But that's what

(01:32:01):
this book entails, like, It's just stories, you know, multiple
attempts of me and Rome trying to be together and
and and not putting ads first when we should have.
It's just a whole bunch and I'm pretty sure it
can relate a lot of people can relate to it.

Speaker 7 (01:32:15):
So we did.

Speaker 5 (01:32:17):
I was pregnant at nineteen, had my son at twenty.
Rome was twenty, and we were just trying to figure
out life and live it, you know, and still trying
to be turned up. And you know the definitely I
love the subtitle to it, Yes, raising my kid with
his dad.

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
That cover is five. This is actually my.

Speaker 5 (01:32:35):
Hand, it's my real hand, Yes, And I just think
it's so dope, Like I never thought that I would
be writing a book, but I think this is this.

Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
Is really the just can't read right what's up.

Speaker 6 (01:32:51):
Now? Right now?

Speaker 5 (01:32:54):
For really y'all, Like I really did that. That's not
going to work through the book too.

Speaker 2 (01:32:59):
That's not the real book, Lauren. Come on, Lauren, goddamn.

Speaker 6 (01:33:04):
You.

Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
It's not that thick.

Speaker 4 (01:33:11):
What you know what all right, you want the book now.

Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
To come back.

Speaker 4 (01:33:16):
We got the People's Choice mixing.

Speaker 8 (01:33:19):
Right now.

Speaker 4 (01:33:26):
Everybody is j n V, Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne the Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club. Now all salute to new
edition and boys to men for joining us this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:33:35):
You know what, I got all excited because I thought
that toll was like right around the corner and got
to wait till next year.

Speaker 5 (01:33:42):
January.

Speaker 7 (01:33:43):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
I thought it was like right around the corn, like, oh,
that's something dope to do for the holidays. But I
will say the the Jersey.

Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
Show at New York Show February thirteen, Jersey Show February thirteen,
it's a Newark.

Speaker 2 (01:33:54):
I will be there. That's a great Valentine's Day weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:33:57):
And yo down and make sure y'all go out there
and pre ordered Jeff Hilarius's new book.

Speaker 5 (01:34:05):
Oh my god, Yes, y'all, so I'm excited to announce
that I am an author.

Speaker 2 (01:34:10):
Guy, hold it up. Yes, So go out there and
pre order Jef Larius's new book Tell Death. Do we
paying parent?

Speaker 7 (01:34:18):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (01:34:19):
This is I'm really excited to announce that I'm officially
an author and always dropping my first book in early
spring of twenty twenty six, which is White around the Corner, y'all.
It's a coparence in memoir right. It reflects on the
journey of me raising my son with his dad, Jerome.
So it's dope. Everywhere I go and I talk about
me and my son's dad, people will always want to

(01:34:40):
know how we're so close like we are right without
any intimate feelings involved or anything like that. And it
wasn't an easy journey. But I wrote this because a
lot of people think, you know, when you're building a family,
when you're starting a family, you're going to end up
with that person, and you just don't. But it's not
the end of the world. You can still create boundaries

(01:35:01):
and healthy co parents and environment for them. So I'm excited.
I'm really excited.

Speaker 2 (01:35:06):
Make sure you go pre order right now wherever you
buy books. Okay, proud of you, Jess. You talk about
she can't read, she can't read and write? What's there?

Speaker 6 (01:35:13):
You go?

Speaker 8 (01:35:14):
Wow?

Speaker 9 (01:35:18):
All right now, salute to everybody in Delaware State and
Norfolk State. They have the HBCU game tonight, the Shawn
Jackson coaching Delaware State and Mike Vic of course, uh
coach in Norfolk State. So we headed out there, Lauren
and myself. We're gonna go to the game and all
that other good stuff that lincoln Field, lincoln Field to
lincoln Field.

Speaker 1 (01:35:36):
You know Cheryl mckissack, McKissick and mckissack, you know, they
helped to build lincoln Field. Man black woman helped to
build that stadium.

Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Is Delaware gonna show up tonight, Lauren, because you know
what I hate.

Speaker 1 (01:35:46):
I hate when I at the HBCU is playing these
big stadiums and they'll look empty.

Speaker 20 (01:35:49):
I just talked to the president of Delaware, a university
there at forty two. He said forty two thousand tickets.
So yeah, forty two thousand tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:35:57):
So that's great.

Speaker 3 (01:35:58):
Really, Yeah, So.

Speaker 5 (01:36:04):
I wrote it down forty two thousand tickets.

Speaker 7 (01:36:08):
In Delaware kind.

Speaker 2 (01:36:09):
Of because it might have been forty two hundred, forty
two thousand. Dope, that's amazing. That's why.

Speaker 5 (01:36:15):
Yes, they did, I mean I think they did. I
forget the number.

Speaker 20 (01:36:18):
I think I saw like ten k or something like
that for the last home game or the homecoming game
that Mike Vic had Folk. It's been a lot of
big things happening since Deshaun Jackson and Mike Vick have
gotten involved with these schools.

Speaker 5 (01:36:30):
And that's why it's important.

Speaker 20 (01:36:31):
People think it's just a publicity stunt, but just their
presence has done so much for these schools. But people
don't understand that though. Internally though, it does a lot
for the kids, a lot for the schools.

Speaker 5 (01:36:42):
It's amazing.

Speaker 20 (01:36:43):
So yes, Delaware is turning out, Virginia coming, Philly gonna
be there. It's gonna be a legendary game.

Speaker 4 (01:36:49):
All right, Well, you have a positive note. It's a
positive note.

Speaker 16 (01:36:51):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:36:52):
Always remember that you can have the worst days of
your life and a few weeks later you can have
the best day of your life.

Speaker 2 (01:36:57):
So don't give up, keep going, have a great day.

Speaker 4 (01:37:01):
Breakfast club, bitches.

Speaker 15 (01:37:02):
If y'll finish the yall done.
