Speaker 1 (00:14):
Jess Hilarious.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Charlamagne Tha God. Peace to the planet. Guess what day
it is?
Speaker 5 (00:19):
No.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
It's Thursday! That's when you got to do everything, okay?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
I got to do every day, everybody's intro. What's up, Jess?
How you feeling?
Speaker 4 (00:27):
I feel better today, Envy. How do you feel?
Speaker 1 (00:30):
I'm good, man. I'm glad you're okay. Thank you. I
know a couple days ago you said you woke up
and your legs were numb.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
You went to the bathroom and you was... Dizzy.
Speaker 6 (00:39):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Felt like you were going to pass out.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Feverish, sweaty.
Speaker 7 (00:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
So you did go to the doctor.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Yes. And it's a stomach infection.
Speaker 8 (00:45):
And it's something that's been going around that I did
not know. I mean, it's always something going around. But
it's like, you know, those 24 to 48 stomach viruses
or whatever. But honestly, I don't think they knew. You know,
the doctor just go. They tell you what they can,
you know, based on their findings or whatever like that.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
But I was dehydrated. So I got IVs. I was
like crazy dehydrated.
Speaker 9 (01:06):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 8 (01:06):
And they said it could be from produce. It could
be something that I ate. And so I really couldn't
pinpoint what it was because I didn't eat anything out
of the ordinary.
Speaker 10 (01:14):
Right.
Speaker 11 (01:14):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Fruit, baked chicken, vegetables, like stuff that I eat every day.
So it wasn't.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
She's talking about the fact that she missed while she
missed work yesterday and she had a stomach infection.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
And I missed that good story.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yes, you did.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
It was good.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
It was good. This guy, he comes in hot. I
do not, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
I ain't with none of this today. Don't play with me, Sean.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
For real.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
But I'm glad you feel better.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
I'm glad you feel better.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Got my feeling back in my leg. I'm good. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Damn, she said the leg was hurt too? I know
you ain't say all that now.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
You told me it was your stomach. She said her
leg was numb when she walked to the bathroom.
Speaker 8 (01:51):
I slept wrong on my leg and it may have
been a circulation thing. So I told him, like, yeah, no,
my leg hasn't bothered me since that morning. But yes,
it was a stomach infection, clown.
Speaker 12 (01:59):
I told you, Jess is a player that is like
load management. She needs her rest. What are you talking about?
She needs her rest. You play 10 games, great. And
you got to sit up for a couple of games.
And she'll play 10 more games.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
That's all.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
He said you like Joel Embiid. Like how Joel Embiid
got to sit some time.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Even LeBron. So what you just thought?
Speaker 8 (02:16):
I didn't want to come to work yesterday. And I
just took a day off. And I was lying about
being sick. Like that's what you thought?
Speaker 9 (02:20):
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
That's crazy. So I set it up a day in advance, like,
purposely to be like, yo, I don't cheat.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
You're a smart little person.
Speaker 13 (02:26):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Remember how kids, when little kids do that? I used
to do that when I was a little kid. Two days,
I was ready. I started two days prior.
Speaker 8 (02:31):
I am grown now, and I don't have to do that.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yo, yo, people get sick, and people miss work.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Did you ever tell her that we was just joking
on the group chat?
Speaker 4 (02:40):
No, he didn't.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
No, and you shouldn't have either.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I told her.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Stupid. Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, I'm like, I came in at 5.30 today.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
I ain't got time for this.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Oh, man.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
All right. Well, let's get the show cracking. Bill DeVars
will be joining us. He's from LifeLock. You hear all
the commercials all the time.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
LifeLock.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
LifeLock. So we're going to figure out what LifeLock is
all about and why we should have LifeLock if we
need it. So we're going to be talking to him
in a little bit. And of course, get it off
your chest and 800-585-1051. When we come back, we got
front page news. What are we still on the show with?
Speaker 14 (03:09):
Tim.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
You said what?
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Tim.
Speaker 9 (03:11):
Oh, God.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Come on.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
It's the first day of October. Do we have like
Thriller or like another scary song?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Spice records.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
A pumpkin spice record.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Let's see if we can pull up Thriller. Let's have
a little fun. No disrespect to Tim. There we go.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Get your ass up.
Speaker 12 (03:26):
I started to say it was too early for Thriller,
but actually it is the Halloween season.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Today is October 1st.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yes, it is.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
It's the holiday season, man.
Speaker 12 (03:33):
Just embrace it. The holiday season can be as long
as we want it to be. We can have it
from October 1st all the way to New Year's Day.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
I think the stations start switching over next week for
holiday music.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Okay. Nah, not that early.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, I think they said the next week. I think
next week.
Speaker 14 (03:48):
Really?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, I think they said next week.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I want to say that's too early, but it's not.
Speaker 9 (03:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Because it's up to us.
Speaker 15 (03:53):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 8 (03:54):
And I actually already started seeing Christmas decorations and stuff, too.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
I'm like, damn, they just stomping on Halloween.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
But I forgot where I was. The reason they do
that is it makes people feel good, right? When they
start hearing holiday music, it makes them feel like when
they start seeing decorations and all that. It makes people
feel happy. But anyway, we are The Breakfast Club. Let's
get in some front page news. Mm-hmm. Start with sports. WNBA.
The Dream beat the Mystics 93-75. Dream sent the Mystic home.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yes, they did. Salute to Andrew Reese and the Atlanta Dream.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
The Wings beat the Valkyries 108-100. I had to go.
Speaker 12 (04:26):
To sleep with that. I woke up this morning and
saw that was a great game.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Now on Thursday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers take on
the Browns at 8-15. And yesterday, the Yankees defeated the
Red Sox 9-2.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Are you upset that Odell Beckham left? Didn't he leave
or something?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I am a little upset. He got cut. But I
really wanted him to play a game. I wanted him
to at least get a catch, get an opportunity to
show whatever he wanted to show. I think he's a
giant and, you know, it is what it is. It's
a business. But, yeah, I am upset. I wanted to
see him play. But anyway, what's up, Mimi?
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Good morning, everyone. How y'all doing this morning?
Speaker 14 (05:02):
Peace, Mimi.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
We're out.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Good morning.
Speaker 10 (05:04):
Front Page News is sponsored by Morgan & Morgan, America's
largest injury law firm. So we start this morning with
new details about a major shakeup at the top of
the U.S.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Military.
Speaker 10 (05:15):
Defense Secretary Pete Hexseth says the Pentagon has cut roughly
one out of every five general admiral positions. So we're
talking about people at the very top, the generals and
admirals who help run the military. Now, Hexseth says about
10 percent have been fired or removed. Another 10 percent
of the top leadership positions are being eliminated or just downgraded.
(05:40):
He also made it clear that some senior officers were
removed because they did not support the direction the Trump
administration is taking the military. Now, Hegg says some people
are calling what he is doing a purge. He says
it's accountability.
Speaker 16 (05:53):
Let's listen.
Speaker 17 (05:55):
But it's worth saying again so that the fake news
understands it. We are no longer the woke department or
the weak department. Simple translation of that, no fatties, no trannies,
no beardos, no weirdos, no wimps, no radicals, just warriors.
Speaker 9 (06:11):
What?
Speaker 4 (06:13):
What did he say?
Speaker 18 (06:14):
Yo, come on, yo.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
What did he say? That's crazy, but go ahead.
Speaker 10 (06:20):
Yes, he made those comments during the State of the
Force address at Quantico. It's a rare military address where
officers who are enlisted... They have this just this annual
kind of talk in the kind of military just lets
them know what's going on.
Speaker 16 (06:38):
You know, and that was part of the speech.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
So he said no fatties.
Speaker 14 (06:43):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
I tell you what they do.
Speaker 12 (06:46):
That's scary because they are probably, you know, getting rid
of people who don't want to be Trump loyalists. Because,
you know, you really want to overthrow election. You really
want to, you know, undermine democracy. You really don't plan
to leave the White House in a couple of years.
You know, you use the military to overthrow, you know,
that said democracy.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, he's getting people to just lining up with what
they believe, which is very scary.
Speaker 16 (07:09):
That's which is very, very scary when you when you
think about that.
Speaker 10 (07:14):
And there are new questions this morning about what happened
during the execution of a Tennessee woman. She was on
death row. So her name is Krista Pike. She was
set to become the first woman executed in Tennessee in
more than 200 years. So she was given a lethal
dose of drugs last night. But her attorney says after
two syringes were administered, she was still alive and could
(07:36):
be heard snoring.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
It's not her time.
Speaker 9 (07:38):
Well.
Speaker 16 (07:40):
People who witnessed the execution, they described what they saw.
Let's listen.
Speaker 7 (07:45):
I would say that Pike appeared notably awake as the
execution began. The curtains of the execution chamber closed for
the final time at around 8.06 p.m. And she could
be heard loudly snoring, clearly very alive in the chamber
until media witnesses were told to leave the area at
about 8.53 p.m.
Speaker 12 (08:06):
That's me in the dentist's office. You got to inject
me a million times before I get numb. They say
that it's better to come in the morning because in
the afternoon, it's hard for your gums to get numb.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
So maybe it's the same thing with lethal injection. Maybe
it's better to do it in the morning.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
What?
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Did you just make that up, that it's better in
the morning?
Speaker 12 (08:23):
No, no, my dentist said that. My dentist said that
it's better to get your injections. in the morning for
whatever reason. She said something about the afternoon.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
I don't know. But so maybe it's the same thing
with lethal injections.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
It's a stupid question. Did she finally die?
Speaker 6 (08:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (08:35):
So she did not die. She's in the hospital this morning.
Speaker 10 (08:39):
Her attorneys, they immediately went back to court asking the
state to stop the execution, arguing that it was taking
too long and causing unnecessary suffering. She laid there for
about 40 minutes and nothing happened. The governor of Tennessee
has now halted all executions while they can review what
happened because this is not normal. It's not supposed to
(08:59):
happen after you administer those two lethal injections. That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
But I wonder, I'm sure she can't be normal now, right?
Because they put.
Speaker 8 (09:09):
This poison and chemicals and toxins in her body, right?
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Who knows?
Speaker 1 (09:13):
I mean.
Speaker 16 (09:15):
So, right, so she's in the hospital.
Speaker 10 (09:17):
I guess they're using some sort of, like, opposite agent
to kind of.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
Pull out what they put in.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (09:25):
Oh, no. So that's kind of where it is right now. But, yeah,
she is in the hospital this morning to kind of undo.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
That's wild.
Speaker 16 (09:32):
It's very, very, very wild.
Speaker 12 (09:33):
I'm shocked they don't switch up the execution. Like, oh,
let's try something else.
Speaker 9 (09:37):
Sheesh.
Speaker 16 (09:38):
Well— I don't know if they can retry her because
I looked that up.
Speaker 10 (09:42):
She can't be re-put to death all over again.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
That's crazy. Let's kill it this way.
Speaker 10 (09:49):
There's a whole process that they have to go through.
She was sentenced to death in 1995 for the murder
of a 19-year-old woman named Colleen Slemmer. Now, Pike was
18 years old at the time. She's 50 years old now.
And so, you know, there we have it. Why the
hell did it take so long to kill you? Yeah,
she was on death row for all that time.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
That's so crazy. She's 18, though.
Speaker 14 (10:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
She's 18.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Like, why would they take that long? 30-something years.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (10:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (10:16):
And it says dental numbing shots are, they work better
in the morning because your body is more rested and
your baseline stress and metabolism levels are lower.
Speaker 6 (10:23):
Hmm.
Speaker 16 (10:25):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
I wonder if this happened to somebody before. Like, they
gave her these deadly toxins.
Speaker 9 (10:29):
I'm sure.
Speaker 8 (10:29):
I've seen a movie like that. There's a movie on
TV that was like that. Yeah, the woman that didn't
die who was put to death or something like that.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Well, if it was on TV, they probably couldn't afford
to kill her.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Shut up.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Shut up.
Speaker 10 (10:39):
Okay, y'all, that is your news for this hour. But
I wanted to say that we were going to end
it with some truckers. They are threatening to park their
big rigs, their diesel trucks, because of the gas prices.
Speaker 16 (10:49):
They're saying they're going to strike today.
Speaker 10 (10:51):
It's not an organized strike, but they're saying that diesel
fuel is going up from $ 800 just to fill it
up to about $ 1, 500. And they want to just make
a statement and say, you know, we can't continue. Yeah,
to see what— we can't continue with these prices. Something has
got to give. So we'll be watching today to see
how many drivers are actually parking their big rigs and
whether it impacts deliveries.
Speaker 16 (11:12):
Now, this hour is sponsored by Morgan & Morgan. Injured,
know your worth.
Speaker 10 (11:15):
America's largest injury law firm.
Speaker 16 (11:19):
Visit ForThePeople.com.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
All right. Everybody else, get it off your chest. 800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, phone lines are wide open.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 18 (11:28):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
This is your time to get it off your chest,
whether you're mad or blessed. I hate the way that
you walk, the way that you talk.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
I hate the way that you dress.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Everything with me is best.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Call up now, 800-585-1051. Not just me, I'm with the
culture feeling.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Hello, who's this?
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Hey, this is Sterling from Brooklyn.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Sterling, what's up? You got us on Bluetooth for speaker?
Take us off if you can.
Speaker 9 (11:51):
Done and done.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Thank you, brother. How you feeling?
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Good morning, Jess.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Good morning, Charlamagne.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Peace.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
What's up, brother?
Speaker 19 (11:58):
Yeah, I just want to get off my chest about
this PXF thing, because like you said, he just setting.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
It up for, you know, to take over stuff and
put people like minded in the military. I was talking
to my uncle. He was telling me that they were
knocking off generals and everybody, you know, just to get
rid of black people in those positions.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
And that was crazy. I don't think it's just about
black people.
Speaker 12 (12:19):
I mean, it is about black people, but I think
it's about Trump loyalists, man.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
They want to get rid of people who aren't Trump loyalists.
Speaker 12 (12:27):
Because if you ask me, I think they're going to
try to use the military to overthrow elections. And when
Trump decides he doesn't want to leave the White House
in a couple of years, he'll have the military on
his side.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
That's absolutely correct in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Oh, damn. My bad. You love hanging up on people.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Nah, it took him so long to answer.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
I thought his phone died. It's actually really crazy. We
could hear that he was still there.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Yeah, but I didn't know if he did hear it
because sometimes he was going to the bathroom. Sterling, my
bad from Brooklyn. Sterling, my bad.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
Hello, who's this?
Speaker 5 (12:54):
Hi, this is Yola.
Speaker 9 (12:56):
Yola?
Speaker 5 (12:57):
Hey, girl.
Speaker 20 (12:58):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Good morning.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
Hey, everybody. Good morning.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Get it off your chest, mama.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
Okay, it's a couple things.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Go ahead.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
First thing is Pete Hexup. How is he going to
say no beardos, no weirdos? He was a drug addict.
He got tattoos.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
Like, really?
Speaker 5 (13:14):
I don't understand.
Speaker 9 (13:15):
Damn.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
He basically said he's a weirdo. He shouldn't be calling
out other weirdos.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
What's wrong with beards, though? And then what's wrong with tattoos?
Speaker 9 (13:24):
Right.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
You don't have any?
Speaker 3 (13:25):
You got some?
Speaker 1 (13:26):
He got a bunch of them.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
She said he's weird, though, because he did drugs and
he got tattoos.
Speaker 19 (13:31):
I was like, damn, I got tattoos.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
I don't know drugs.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
But that's what he's saying. He doesn't want to head
the military. No fat spills, no beardos, no weirdos. Some
kind of rhyme he tried to create.
Speaker 9 (13:42):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Yep, I think it's all weird, too.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
But thank you, Yola.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
I have one more thing.
Speaker 18 (13:46):
Go ahead.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
My doctor, in July, I fractured my foot, right?
Speaker 9 (13:51):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5 (13:52):
July, I was down for two whole months.
Speaker 12 (13:56):
Two months.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
I go to the doctor yesterday. They said, oh, we
have to do surgery, which my first doctor that I
went to two months ago, he consulted with another doctor,
but the doctor was too busy watching the soccer game
and did not give the right diagnosis.
Speaker 19 (14:15):
Damn.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
Right.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
So now they're telling me that I need to have
this surgery to put a screw in my foot because
they said it's a fifth metatarsal. So it has to be,
it takes longer to heal. So now they're telling me
I have to be down another two months. I don't
have any income or anything. So I am so... I'm
so angry right now.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
You might want to talk to a lawyer. The fact
that he misdiagnosed you.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
But you know, that happens more often than not. I
don't even think.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
He didn't hang up on her just now.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
See now, I didn't hang up on her. She gone.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
But that happens.
Speaker 8 (14:55):
People get misdiagnosed all the time. I wish that it
was something that could be done about it. But I
don't think those type of cases ever happen.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yeah, but if you're watching the game and not even
caring about me, I don't even, well, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 4 (15:06):
If she could prove that, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 12 (15:07):
Jess got misdiagnosed yesterday. Her leg was hurt and they
told her it was her stomach.
Speaker 8 (15:11):
First of all, it was my stomach. My leg was
just numb because of poor circulation. I'm going to just
say that. I said it was my stomach. It was
my leg. It was my neck and my back. My
back and my neck. My neck, my back, my leg,
my stomach.
Speaker 18 (15:25):
Yeah, clown.
Speaker 8 (15:26):
I ain't going to ever miss no days because I'm
lying about being sick.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
That is such a clowned out ass.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Get it off your chest.
Speaker 9 (15:36):
800-585-1051.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's
The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 18 (15:37):
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
I'm dialing.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
I'm dialing.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
Hey, what you doing, man?
Speaker 1 (15:43):
This is your time to get it off your chest.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Whether you're mad or blessed.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
800-585-1051. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Hello, who's this?
Speaker 19 (15:54):
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
What's your name?
Speaker 5 (15:56):
It's Patty.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
What's up, Patty? Get it off your chest, Patty.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Patty, who called last night?
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Yes, girlfriend.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Hey, girl.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
How you doing?
Speaker 4 (16:04):
How you doing today? I'm good. I'm better.
Speaker 19 (16:07):
That's good. Charlamagne, is he there?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Good morning.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
How you doing?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Blessed Black and highly favored. How are you?
Speaker 19 (16:16):
Blessed Black and highly favored, honey.
Speaker 21 (16:18):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 19 (16:19):
That I woke up this morning.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
But no, just girlfriend.
Speaker 19 (16:22):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
You're welcome. What'd I do?
Speaker 3 (16:25):
I want to thank you for.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
You gave me tickets for the.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Show, girl.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Oh, yes, yes. Did you enjoy yourself? You came by yourself, right? Yes.
Speaker 21 (16:33):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Did you enjoy?
Speaker 3 (16:35):
I definitely did.
Speaker 19 (16:36):
But also, I want to thank you because I saw
you had my outfit on.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Yes, ma'am. Appreciate it. Now, talk... How did it feel?
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Was it comfortable?
Speaker 4 (16:44):
Yes, and the quality is thick. It's very, very thick,
for sure. So I like it.
Speaker 8 (16:49):
I don't like the more cheap-ass sweatsuits. It wasn't cheap
at all. I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Yeah, she has a line.
Speaker 9 (16:54):
Oh, dope.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
I told y'all. I'm sending y'all some stuff.
Speaker 5 (16:56):
I'm sending y'all some stuff.
Speaker 19 (16:58):
But just to tell y'all that it's, like, legit, legit.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Most definitely.
Speaker 8 (17:03):
Even the one that you gave my husband, but he sometimes,
I didn't know how it was cut, so I told
you to give him a large, but I'm going to
give it to my son because it was small. You know,
my husband is tall, so he's going to need an
extra large.
Speaker 19 (17:13):
You told me a medium, so I'm like, he ain't
no medium.
Speaker 9 (17:16):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 8 (17:16):
I said a medium for me because I like the
way my sweatsuits fit baggy. I like them to fit baggy.
I told you to give him a large. I usually
wear small, but I like my sweatsuits.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
A medium Mexican is crazy.
Speaker 9 (17:27):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
First of all. Yeah, so he would need an extra large.
Speaker 8 (17:31):
Yes, my son can fit the large, so I gave
it to my son. He's going to wear it to
school one of these days.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
What's the brand name?
Speaker 19 (17:38):
Oh, okay.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Oh, Bell Rose LLC. But listen, no, because I was very, very.
Speaker 19 (17:45):
A little embarrassed a little bit because your husband has said,
what if we want more and want to get more?
I do have business cards.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Right.
Speaker 19 (17:52):
But I didn't give y'all business cards because all my
information got hacked or whatever.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Okay.
Speaker 19 (17:58):
And I don't know. I did not leave my Facebook
name for y'all. But definitely, when you do look at
the belts and where they have some stuff, I definitely
do want you to shop me out.
Speaker 6 (18:10):
You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 16 (18:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (18:12):
Or I see you tag me in it or something
like that if that's okay.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
Because I didn't see you on Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
You said Bell Rose LLC? So people just got to
Google Bell Rose LLC? There's no site or nothing like
that on their Instagram page?
Speaker 3 (18:28):
No, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 19 (18:30):
It all got hacked.
Speaker 8 (18:31):
How the hell am I going to tag you and
your shit is hacked, girl?
Speaker 19 (18:36):
But listen, Levi's Mommy.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
That's my name.
Speaker 19 (18:38):
Levi's Mommy.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
Well, I appreciate it.
Speaker 18 (18:42):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
I don't know if you remember that, but. I got you.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Y'all have a blessed day.
Speaker 19 (18:47):
I just want to talk to Jess and tell her
thank you.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
No problem.
Speaker 19 (18:50):
Thanks for supporting me and everything.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
And I'm glad the quality is good.
Speaker 19 (18:53):
Y'all stuff is coming, Charlamagne. And all of y'all stuff
is coming.
Speaker 15 (18:56):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Good morning, Lauren.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
Good morning. Good morning.
Speaker 19 (18:59):
Y'all have a blessed day.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Love you too, babe.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Get it off your chest.
Speaker 22 (19:02):
800-585-1051.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
We got the latest with Lauren coming up. What we
talking about, Lauren? Good morning, guys.
Speaker 14 (19:07):
We do.
Speaker 23 (19:08):
So yesterday I told y'all that, you know, Diddy was
living it up behind bars and the cell phones and
the Hennessy.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
Well, every action has a reaction.
Speaker 23 (19:15):
There may be some consequences that he is currently facing
this morning as we speak.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
I told y'all.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
We ain't going to get into it. I'm supposed to
be having a drink or nothing? You can't bring no Hennessy.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
It's going to affect his appeal too, watch.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
We're going to get into some details, so we'll talk
about it.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
We'll talk about that next. It's The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Particularly of bringing the energy to mainstream radio, the black radio.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yeah, sources trusted. Did you hear that exclusive?
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Lauren, I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about
everything and everything.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
She be having the latest on things.
Speaker 11 (19:51):
You ask the questions that need to be answered.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
On The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
If little brown girls look at you and go, I
want to be like you.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
LL Cool B.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Talk to me. Talk to me.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Hi, y'all.
Speaker 23 (20:00):
So yesterday we talked about the fact that there's claims
that Diddy is living this luxurious life behind bars.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
He is in Fort Dix. We know he is serving.
Speaker 23 (20:10):
A 50-month sentence behind those prostitution charges. From the big
trial that happened. Now, when we talked about this, we
talked about the fact that there were four inmates that
spoke exclusively to NBC News who said they were on
a unit with Diddy, and he had people cooking for him.
He had people who wash his clothes, who make his
bed for him, give him Chinese-style massages, who clean for him.
(20:32):
But they also said that he, on the weekends, has
this private stash of alcohol.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
He busts out the Hennessy on the weekends.
Speaker 23 (20:40):
He has a cell phone where he's able to receive
nude photos from an ex-girlfriend and scroll through Instagram.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Boy, they sound like disgruntled hosts.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Right, but like, what's wrong with all this? Well, the
only thing is.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
It's not everything but that. I mean, they washing his clothes,
making his bed.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Washing him up.
Speaker 23 (20:57):
I know a lot of times you hear about people
having cell phones while they're locked up, but that is...
You're not supposed to do that. Also, as far as
the alcohol, he's not supposed to be doing that as well.
They mentioned drugs as well, too. He's not supposed to
be doing that while they're as well, too. And Diddy
is currently trying to get an appeal. He's trying to
come home sooner than January 2028. So we talked about
what may happen to him. And now there are reports
(21:17):
that Diddy has been placed in solitary confinement. His team
even can't. And this is what happened last time. Remember,
I told y'all when he was in solitary. I knew it,
but his team kept saying, we don't know because BOP
won't tell us because he's an adult.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
We can only wait to hear from him. Same thing
is going on right now.
Speaker 23 (21:31):
Reports are saying that he was placed in solitary confinement
while they investigate all of the claims and everything that
people are saying happened. But there was a video with
him within something that looked like a cell phone in
his hand. So don't know for sure how this will
affect the appeal, but 100 percent. I'm pretty sure it
was because the judges, all of every judge that has
ever spoke on this case with Diddy, their main thing
(21:52):
is him not understanding justice. when it's time to release
his power and be empathetic and change.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
That's exactly.
Speaker 12 (21:58):
So it's definitely going to impact his appeal because of
what you just said. It makes it seem like he
still thinks he's bigger. then the program, also the prison
is going to make an example of him because it
makes the prison look bad. It makes the prison look
like it's too loose.
Speaker 23 (22:08):
It's low security, so they probably do have a little
bit of breathing room, but these things, you're not supposed
to be doing at all.
Speaker 8 (22:15):
The people that are doing all these things for him,
outside of the alcohol and the cell phone, I know
those things are illegal for sure, but are these other
inmates that are doing these things for him?
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 23 (22:24):
Other inmates, but they said, as far as the alcohol,
the report said that sometimes it's snuck in by people
who work for uh for dicks as well too okay.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Yeah i think first of all them inmates are foul
but they're just getting a check trying to get some right.
Speaker 8 (22:38):
It's like because i know his phone is illegal but
so is the guy that took the picture with his
phone that's right it's.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Illegal as well they get paid for it but the
fact that he has people washing his underwear and cooking
for him and all that other stuff that's.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Because they want to do that. They want to do that.
They want his laundry, making his bed and all that.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
That's what I'm saying. There's nothing wrong with that. They
need money for commissary and they're just working to get
a little extra pay.
Speaker 18 (22:58):
I'm not mad at that.
Speaker 23 (22:58):
All that was just a part of the hype of
it because, you know, Diddy is Diddy in my opinion.
The stuff that they should be worried about is them
talking about the Hennessy, the drugs, the cell.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Phone, like those things. Diddy getting his chicken jerk.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
There's nothing wrong with the chicken jerk.
Speaker 10 (23:12):
All right.
Speaker 8 (23:12):
You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 4 (23:14):
They do that in there.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
They do.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
They didn't say nothing about jerk chicken. They said curry chicken.
But go ahead, continue on.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
But yeah, I got the Jamaicans to cook for him.
You think the Jamaicans ain't jerking that chicken?
Speaker 1 (23:24):
I don't think the Jamaicans are jerking their chicken eyes.
Speaker 4 (23:25):
Come on, it's Fort Dix.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Come on. Okay.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
All right.
Speaker 9 (23:29):
Touche.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
Moving on.
Speaker 23 (23:31):
So yesterday, news broke. Actually, this was actually up for
a while, but people started picking it up yesterday. The
Wall Street Journal had actually posted these stories about Tyler
Perry listing two of his homes on the market. So
one of his homes is in Beverly Hills. It's a
22.5 acre property. which was listed for $ 57 million. I
(23:51):
printed out some photos if you guys didn't remember what
the house looked like. How many acres? 57, I'm sorry,
it was 22.5 acres in Beverly Hills.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
That's a lot.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
For $ 57 million.
Speaker 23 (24:00):
And then he also, at the same time, listed his
Wyoming retreat for $ 39. 5 million. Now, this is picking up
in the news because... Y'all remember the last time we
talked about Tyler Perry, he was talking about he wants
to take a step back and go to Puerto Rico.
So people are like, well, is this the beginning of it?
I spoke to a source close to Tyler Perry, and yes,
this is the beginning of that. These two homes and
(24:21):
off-boarding these two homes is the beginning of that.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
He's getting the hell out of here. He's worked and
earned it.
Speaker 8 (24:27):
I'm not playing. And he said he's about to spend
time with his son, too. I didn't even know he
had one of them. I didn't know he had no
damn son.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
And Puerto Rico has no income tax, right? You don't
get tax benefits.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
You tell me that behind the IRS.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
I mean, I know a lot of people move to
Puerto Rico for tax breaks, yes. They got to stay there,
I think, six months or more.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
Those two houses combined, that's $ 96.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
5 million.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Hey, God bless.
Speaker 12 (24:49):
I really don't understand what I need with a $ 57
million house. I thank God that all the places I
love to be don't have houses that cost $ 57 million.
$ 57 million. What is a house going to do for
$ 57 million?
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Well, for this, you're paying for location. You're paying for
the zip code.
Speaker 12 (25:02):
That's exactly what I mean when I say I'm glad
the places I like to be don't cost that much.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
$ 57 million. This is that house.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Remember my house?
Speaker 23 (25:12):
Remember when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry they needed somewhere
to stay after they left the UK and he put
them up the house in Beverly Hills yeah that's the
house what.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Does this house do that other houses don't.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Baby house Tyler Perry how.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Much people that give you Chinese massages.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Like I don't know you're paying for location you're paying
for who your neighbors are right so you're living but
with billionaires these are nothing.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
But billionaires that live on this block what they got
to do with anything.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
That's what it's for.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
I need the same perks that Diddy got in Fort
Dix for.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
$ 57 million.
Speaker 9 (25:41):
Right, right.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
Come jerk my chicken.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Do a combo with a chicken jerker.
Speaker 12 (25:44):
I need all the perks that Diddy got in Fort
Dix for a $ 57 million house.
Speaker 23 (25:48):
That house in Beverly Hill has eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms,
a library, a private screening room, a bar, and an
expensive entertainment space.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
I just, you know, I'd just be confused when somebody
has a house this big and it'd be like 20,
30,000 square feet. And then they only have one kid
and it'd just be him and the kid now. There's
no way you can possibly enjoy that house.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
But I wonder how much he did to it as well. Like,
did he put all of that in there?
Speaker 8 (26:11):
I don't know everything he did, but I know he
originally purchased the land for $ 4.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
3 million back in 2004.
Speaker 11 (26:16):
Wow.
Speaker 23 (26:19):
And he did a bunch of construction on the mansion
in 2012. So he did do some things.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Oh, he's about to come up then.
Speaker 12 (26:23):
Yeah, he is. This is a huge investment. I know
Tyler Perry be mad as hell when his renovations take
more than four days. He's like, man, I do a
whole goddamn movie in four days.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Y'all still in here working in this freaking house?
Speaker 14 (26:32):
Yo.
Speaker 21 (26:32):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (26:33):
Yes.
Speaker 23 (26:34):
And I do want to mention too, I received, we
talked about Cornell. If you guys watch A Different World,
the sequel, he plays the football player. I believe his
name is Shaquille in A Different World. I do have
a exclusive clip of him from the movie that comes
out this Friday that we'll be playing later on.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
You know they shot that movie on Tuesday. Good life.
Speaker 8 (26:51):
It's coming out on.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Netflix Friday, right?
Speaker 23 (26:55):
Yes, it comes out on Netflix Friday, but he was
casted back in March.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Don't do that.
Speaker 23 (26:59):
But I have an exclusive clip that we'll be adding
into our Netflix portion of the show.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
It's called Doing Life and it comes out on Netflix
on Friday.
Speaker 16 (27:06):
So, yeah.
Speaker 23 (27:07):
Make sure you guys tune in to us on Netflix
as well, too, if you're listening to us because you'll
be able to see it there.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
But that's the latest.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
And that was brought to you by LifeLock. Your name
is attached to everything you've built. And if you get
your identity stolen, what then? Your bank can only do
so much. LifeLock is who you can trust to protect
your identity. Get LifeLock at LifeLock.com and use promo code

(27:32):
if you don't get it, if you don't understand. So
we're going to talk to him in a little bit.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 18 (27:36):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Front page news is next. Start off with sports. Now,
yesterday in Major League Baseball, it is, I would say,
playoff time. So the Phillies beat the Braves. The Yankees
defeated the Red Sox, sent the Red Sox home. The
Padres sent the Cubs home. And the White Sox sent
the Astros home. Now, in WNBA, the Dream beat the
Mystics 93-75. The Dream sent the Mystics home. Sure did.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
I'm going to close bonds for Andrew Reese and the gang.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
And the Wings beat the Valkyries 108-100. And then Thursday
night football! Let's take on the Browns at 8.15 on
Amazon Prime Video. I hate those Prime games because it's
always hard to see. I like watching regular television. I
don't have Prime. I don't have Prime.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
You don't have Prime?
Speaker 1 (28:14):
I don't think I have Prime.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
I got Prime.
Speaker 4 (28:16):
If you have Amazon, you have Prime.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
I think I use my daughter's Prime. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Sadly, I got every single one of them.
Speaker 12 (28:21):
I know.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
I know.
Speaker 7 (28:22):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
I don't even know why I still got stars.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
And they make me change the passwords all the time.
And then I'll be forgetting the password because this was
not the same as the Hulu one, which is not
the same as the Netflix.
Speaker 12 (28:31):
And the FIBA and Aces play tonight at 9 p.m.
Game three of their first round playoff series.
Speaker 19 (28:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
Nine o'clock on NBC CNBC. What's up, Mimi?
Speaker 16 (28:39):
Good morning, guys.
Speaker 10 (28:40):
Front Page News is sponsored by Morgan and Morgan, America's
largest injury law firm.
Speaker 16 (28:46):
Let's start in Utah this morning.
Speaker 10 (28:48):
That's where a 71-year-old black man who spent 41 years.
Speaker 16 (28:52):
Behind bars, most of that on death row, is now
out of jail.
Speaker 10 (28:55):
His name is Douglas Carter, and he was convicted of
killing 57-year-old Eva Olson in Utah back in 1985. But
his conviction was overturned after serious misconduct uncovered in the investigation.
Two witnesses, they later said police pressured them into lying
and offered them money.
Speaker 16 (29:13):
And now new.
Speaker 10 (29:14):
Testing from Carter's DNA. It does not match blood or
other DNA recovered from key evidence at the crime scene.
So prosecutors, they have now taken the death penalty off
the table and are reassessing the case. Now, Carter's attorney
said he was he would have been executed before any
of this evidence was ever uncovered. But he says, you know,
(29:35):
he's glad that it did. But he he mentioned he's
going to have a very, very long recovery attempt.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Ahead.
Speaker 16 (29:40):
Let's listen.
Speaker 21 (29:41):
Today was the first day he's walked outside without being
shackled hands and feet. He hasn't seen the sky. He
hasn't tasted fresh air. He's going to have to relearn
to live his life. He doesn't know anything about our society.
anything about our world. The world Doug walked into is
not the world he walked out of when the state
stole his life. It's a different world, and he has
(30:04):
a lot of processing to do.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (30:10):
So, um, Carter has not been exonerated.
Speaker 10 (30:12):
The murder charge still pending, but he is out on
bail while prosecutors decide how to move forward. His son
was there when he walked free after 41 years and
talked about the simple things that he wanted to do together.
Speaker 20 (30:25):
Listen, I want him to have a cup of coffee
that I brought him. Hopefully it's still kind of hot.
Hopefully he doesn't get too jittery cause it's been a while. Um,
I want him to see the stars. I'd like for
him to, um, Just get a life that we all
get to live. None of us understand what this guy's
going through.
Speaker 14 (30:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (30:45):
So Carter must wear a GPS ankle monitor and follow
a 11 p.m.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Curfew.
Speaker 10 (30:50):
He's due back in court November 10th. His attorneys say
the next fight is to get the murder charge dropped altogether.
So we will continue to watch that. And passengers on
a flight headed to Israel are being credited with helping
to stop a plane from crashing in After authorities say
the co-pilot stabbed the captain and tried to bring the
plane down. Now, there were about 174 people on board
(31:12):
this fly Dubai flight when officials say the co-pilot stabbed
the captain and the plane went into a steep dive.
Here is one man describing what happened.
Speaker 16 (31:21):
Let's listen.
Speaker 6 (31:22):
And then suddenly the airplane started like a roller coaster, deep,
deep down, like 20 or 30 seconds, and then balance.
And then again, deep down for 15 seconds and then balance.
And after the airplane balanced, we saw people rushing to
the cockpit. And apparently one of the pilots stabbed the
(31:47):
other one, and three or four passengers along with a
crew member managed to take control.
Speaker 12 (31:54):
Now, I'm not the highest grade of weed in the dispensary,
nor am I the strongest avenger, but I need somebody
to explain to me. First of all, how does the
co-pilot get a knife on the flight, number one? And
how do the passengers get into the cockpit?
Speaker 1 (32:06):
That's my question. That's why I brought Lauren in, because
Lauren used to work for Delta. I was wondering, because
I thought once that door is locked, you can't open
that door.
Speaker 12 (32:13):
But then I was reading about it, and they were
saying that the guy who got stabbed.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Used his foot to open the door. None of this
sounds believable. I just want y'all to know, but I'm
going to play along.
Speaker 16 (32:25):
Yeah, I can answer the second one.
Speaker 10 (32:26):
Apparently, just from from the reporting, they're saying that the
injured captain, he managed to get the cockpit door open
and allow passengers to help in Russia.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
They say with just his foot.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yeah that's crazy.
Speaker 23 (32:37):
Because normally in a situation like this if there's a
breach in a cockpit you're supposed to as the flight
attendants that are up in the first class like the
purser is the a and then whoever's helping the person
in the front you're supposed to secure the rest of
the plane and basically keep them locked in there because
you don't want anything to affect the other part of
the plane unless you think you can go in and
like help but if they make it out of the
plane it's kind of like whoever can do whatever just
(32:59):
do what you can.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Can y'all get in the cockpit can y'all get in
the cockpit I mean.
Speaker 23 (33:01):
We have, yeah, there's keys that you have that you
can get in and out, like as the, as the, uh,
the purser on the flight, but it depends also where
airline who has and who holds the keys, but also
sometimes on these flights, there's like marshals there that only
the flight attendants know about. So in case of these
emergencies and a lot of times that happens where you
have your marshals and stuff sitting in first class. And
you'll know what seat they're in. So if something like
(33:21):
this happens, they can jump into action. I don't know
how that knife got there, though.
Speaker 9 (33:25):
Exactly.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Because you go through.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Security, yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
I mean, yes, you go through security, but, like, it's just.
Speaker 22 (33:32):
They didn't think this one through. Because, like, they didn't
think this whole story through. Because, like, number one, how
did the guy get a knife on the... The pilot
get a knife on the plane? How did the people
get into the cockpit?
Speaker 1 (33:44):
The cockpit, yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
And how did they know there was a disturbance in
the cockpit?
Speaker 9 (33:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Because I guess he kicked the door open and maybe
he was screaming and yelling. He got stabbed. So I'm
sure he wasn't just like, oh, I got stabbed.
Speaker 9 (33:53):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
I'm sure he was screaming and yelling.
Speaker 10 (33:55):
Well, the disturbance comes because the plane started, like, nosediving,
and that's how people realized it was down.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
And who landed the plane?
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Like, was there a passenger on there that knew how
to fly?
Speaker 10 (34:04):
They said that they were able to land the plane.
The people from the back were able to successfully land
the plane.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
That's crazy.
Speaker 12 (34:11):
Boy, y'all about to see some weird stuff happen over
the next few weeks. Between now and November 3rd, you
about to hear some strange tales, boy.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Oh, because of the election season?
Speaker 5 (34:20):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
Oh, God.
Speaker 16 (34:22):
Yes, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
You guys, really quickly.
Speaker 10 (34:25):
Before we go, just October 1st is here, right? So
it just means that holiday shopping is about to, I mean,
not holiday, Halloween shopping is about to kick off in
full gear. And just so people are aware, those tariffs
on products, they're going to hit your wallet and hit
them hard, especially on costumes, candy. Haunted houses are more
expensive this year. So overall, Americans are about to spend
(34:47):
about $ 13.
Speaker 16 (34:48):
5 billion on Halloween.
Speaker 10 (34:50):
That's according to the study by Halloween and Costume Association.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
This ain't the year to be scaring each other. No way, man. Okay.
All right. Life is scary enough. Y'all really want to
spend more money on scaring each other?
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Crazy.
Speaker 21 (35:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
Well, thank you, Mimi.
Speaker 4 (35:07):
Absolutely.
Speaker 10 (35:08):
That's your front page sponsored by Morgan & Morgan. Injured
and know your worth. America's largest injury law firm. Visit ForThePeople.com.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
All right. Now, when we come back, Bill DeVars will
be joining us. He's from LifeLock. And, you know, you
hear all the promo that we've been doing for LifeLock.
They're a big sponsor of the show. And a lot
of people don't know what LifeLock is or how LifeLock
can help you. So we're going to talk to him
next and find out all about it.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
All right.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
So don't move. It's The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 9 (35:30):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Morning, everybody.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
It's DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are
The Breakfast Club. Lawn LaRose is here as well. We
got a special guest in the building.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yes, indeed.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
He has commercials all the time, the live reads, the sponsorships.
We have from LifeLock, we have Bill DeVars. Welcome. Good morning.
Speaker 18 (35:47):
Thank you for having me.
Speaker 12 (35:48):
Bill, I've been waiting to talk to you or somebody
from LifeLock because I just keep saying to myself, if
this is really happening so much and people's identities are
getting stolen so much, we need more than commercials.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
We need to hear.
Speaker 12 (36:00):
firsthand experiences, why y'all decided to build this, how regular
is it?
Speaker 2 (36:05):
I got a long list of questions.
Speaker 18 (36:06):
I can't wait.
Speaker 6 (36:07):
Okay.
Speaker 18 (36:07):
Hit me.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Now, how did it start? Because I spoke to you
at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Speaker 9 (36:10):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
And you told me that it started with a personal experience.
Speaker 18 (36:13):
For me, I have a personal experience.
Speaker 5 (36:15):
Yes.
Speaker 18 (36:15):
But I think the way the company started was that
the world started going digital.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 18 (36:22):
And bad actors, bad people started realizing that because we
spent so much time online... On sites, clicking, clicking away
at everything. Huge opportunity for the dark web world to
take advantage of citizens.
Speaker 12 (36:39):
I thought about the fact that AI can clone your voice, right?
It can recreate your face. It can imitate the way
you communicate. And a lot of times we go on
these sites, we never read the terms and conditions, so
we don't know what we're giving up, right? So what
does identity theft even mean anymore? We might have gave
these people permission to use us.
Speaker 18 (36:56):
You know what? I think you nailed it because the
fact is that right now, like your social security number
is worth about $ 10 in the dark web.
Speaker 19 (37:04):
Damn.
Speaker 18 (37:05):
Yep. And the odds are all of our identity is
out there. And there's a whole marketplace where people are
just selling.
Speaker 14 (37:13):
VPN.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
We're just part of a batch of.
Speaker 18 (37:16):
Names and social security numbers and identifying verified IDs. People
are picking them up. And what they're doing- is they're
essentially tracking you, right? So it's almost like surveillance, right?
They're online tracking you. And now with AI, it's no
longer like a warehouse in Slovakia with, you know, humans
(37:39):
banging away at keyboards. Like one person can actually deploy
a thousand agentic agents.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
Bots.
Speaker 18 (37:47):
Bots that are building deceptive sites.
Speaker 10 (37:49):
Wow.
Speaker 18 (37:50):
And the sites are so good. The imagery is so good.
The mimicking... the deep fake is so good. You see,
you guys see what AI is like, right? You can't
even distinguish between a celebrity and a, you know, the
fake one or the real one, um, that now they're
just deploying, you know, millions.
Speaker 12 (38:06):
I've seen a video of envy. It had envy kissing
another guy. That's like his mentor, DJ clue.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
So yeah. How'd you feel about that? That was a, uh,
It looked very real.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
I mean, extremely real. He's lying.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
But question, so how does LifeLock protect somebody? How does
the procedure work?
Speaker 18 (38:26):
So there's a million ways we protect you, but the
three ways you should really care about is LifeLock has
guaranteed restoration. So what does that mean? If something happens
to you, you now have to restore your credit, your identity.
You got to clean up your name from all these
data broker sites. That whole cleanup, and if you've been
(38:48):
financially compromised, we will restore those funds, 100% guaranteed, up
to $ 3 million of coverage.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Really?
Speaker 18 (38:56):
Yep, so you're covered up to $ 3 million. That's something
a bank cannot do. A lot of people think their
bank takes care of that, right?
Speaker 9 (39:04):
Nope.
Speaker 18 (39:06):
The other thing we do is that tech proactively alerts you.
So if somebody's opening up loans, let's say suddenly this
AI bot is opening up 35, 50 loans, mortgage loans,
home equity loans under your name, you're gonna get a
notification that says, is this you? Did you just open
up five loans? And when you say no, it triggers
(39:26):
a workflow on the LifeLock side where the actual restoration
expert will call you and be like hey we we've
picked up this suspicious activity thank you for saying no
so there's this proactive technology and then there's god forbid
something happens almost like an insurance policy and you're.
Speaker 23 (39:45):
In your personal experience, you got an alert through.
Speaker 18 (39:49):
Oh, I got more than alert.
Speaker 23 (39:50):
Well, you got to get, you got to build too,
but there, but there was some technology that kind of like,
let you know that there was some things happening after you, well,
maybe you talk about what happened.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (39:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (39:59):
I mean, I got a really, it's just so coincidental
because when I started working on the brand, I, of
course I was like, I understand what identity theft is.
I get it. We live in a modern world.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Boom.
Speaker 18 (40:10):
I get, I, something happens to me.
Speaker 16 (40:12):
Right.
Speaker 9 (40:13):
Right.
Speaker 18 (40:13):
I get this IRS notice. Meanwhile, LifeLock was alerting me
before and I didn't really, you know, pay attention to it.
And I owe a lot. I don't even want to
say how much money I owe, but I owe like
an extraordinary amount of money. And I'm like, for what?
And it's this business that I don't own, right? An
(40:33):
affiliate marketing business. So I call my, right away I
call my accountant and I said, what do I do?
He goes, did you get any other notices or anything?
I go, wait, let me check my life lock. I'm like,
Oh my God. And he goes, call life lock now.
So I call life lock restoration expert immediately gets on
my case. She starts locking everything down, locking the credit,
(40:55):
telling me exactly how I have to, um, uh, notifying
the IRS. I'm starting to build, build my case because
you got to build a case.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
With your IRA.
Speaker 18 (41:03):
You got to let the IRS know, you know, that
this has happened. Um, and so like this, We have
US-based restoration experts. It's not like you're calling another country.
It's somebody whose entire job is to restore Americans' lives
back to normal. So she just puts this protocol to action.
(41:25):
And I got to be honest with you, like two weeks,
I was all clear. I even got issued some new
verification codes from the IRS. So when I do my taxes,
I do them differently. But somebody opened up. An affiliates
marketing business using my social security number and ID. And
I guess it's like a money laundering thing that people do.
(41:46):
It's very common. You can look it up.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
FBI knows all about it.
Speaker 4 (41:50):
People don't know how common that type of stuff is.
Speaker 23 (41:52):
Like they do like apartments and bank accounts or whatever,
but like whole businesses and lifestyles.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
We use it under people's identities. It's very common.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
People buy homes. They buy properties.
Speaker 18 (42:05):
Credit cards.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
Yeah, credit cards.
Speaker 18 (42:08):
The business thing is interesting because it's literally, it's a
money laundering thing. Like you want to move cash, you
want to run it through legit companies, but you yourself can't,
you don't want to be, right? You're a bad guy.
You don't want to be connected to that company. Well,
you're going to use people with good credit, people's ideas
with good credit and start opening up companies.
Speaker 12 (42:27):
If my information is already on the dark web, am
I trying to get it back or I'm just trying
to make the information transparent?
Speaker 2 (42:34):
Useless to whoever steals it.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Great, great question.
Speaker 18 (42:39):
What LifeLock will do is try and clean up who's
got it because the odds are it's data brokers who are,
you know, let's say you, I don't know, maybe years
ago you signed up for something, a subscription or something, right?
They might be selling companies and websites and blogs and
all kinds of stuff might be selling your info.
Speaker 21 (42:59):
Jesus Christ.
Speaker 18 (43:00):
And, and they sell and these data brokers pick it
up and then they, there, it's like a marketplace. They're like, Hey,
who wants Charlemagne's information?
Speaker 5 (43:08):
Right.
Speaker 18 (43:08):
Like you, you, you fall into a certain profile and
there's the like transactions being made. People are actually selling,
you know, Americans IDs.
Speaker 1 (43:18):
And how much, how much does it cost to protect yourself?
Speaker 9 (43:22):
$ 10 a month.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
$ 10 a month.
Speaker 5 (43:23):
Right.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
For 3 million, 3 million in coverage. It's not, levels.
There's not tears. There's tears. Okay.
Speaker 18 (43:29):
So for a decent, uh, for, for what you want,
it's $ 10 a month. There's tears that are higher. I mean,
it all depends on the promo codes right of the day,
but like the tears that are higher could also include
your family. So you could actually start to, uh, add
your parents for instance, or, uh, look, kids are important because, uh,
(43:50):
I have a daughter, uh, in college. Hey, Gigi, I
do a little shout out to her. Um, she might
have a clean credit, right? Because her credit is super clean.
That is so valuable to people, right? So people don't
realize that. They're like, oh, it must be, you know,
you must be making a lot of money and you're
a high value target. That's not the case. All of
(44:11):
us who are working on our credit or we have
clean credit, we're.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
All vulnerable, right?
Speaker 18 (44:17):
Everybody, everybody is. One out of four Americans is a
victim of identity theft. It's inevitable.
Speaker 12 (44:23):
Yeah, I mean, like I said earlier, man, like, you know,
we get on these social media sites and we've been
on some of these sites for literally a couple of
decades now. We don't know what the terms and conditions
are when we sign up to these sites. So what
information are we casually putting on social media that scammers
can now use against.
Speaker 18 (44:41):
Us with AI? So they'll build a dossier. So the
power of AI is that it could build a dossier
around you. It could follow you on social, pick up photos,
pick up what you like, sites you visit. It's not
saying that you landed on a great reputable site and
(45:01):
that reputable company is selling your idea. I'm not saying that.
What I'm saying is it's so easy to deceive people
that you might think you're on Ford.com, but it's not Ford.com.
That's what's going on right now. You might be reading
an article and there's a hyperlink and you're like, oh,
I want to see the video that they're talking about Right.
(45:24):
You know how people, they tease you out on the video,
that link, you don't know where that link's going.
Speaker 21 (45:28):
Right.
Speaker 9 (45:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
My wife got, got one time she was booking a
flight for something. I don't know what it was. She
was had to book a flight. And when she Googled,
let's say it was Delta.
Speaker 9 (45:36):
Right.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
Delta didn't pop up. It was the first thing that
popped up looked like Delta, but it wasn't actually Delta.
And when she clicked it, she put her information in
and she realized it was, thank God it was the
American express. We were able to cancel it.
Speaker 9 (45:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
Her information is out there now. Her address, her phone
number and all that. So it's, I don't know how
companies can do that, but that happened to her.
Speaker 12 (45:54):
It feels like LifeLock is like insurance now. Like you
have to have it just in case.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (46:00):
I mean, you need insurance. God forbid someone... I mean,
I was just commuting in today. I saw a car accident.
I'm like, all right, that's why you have insurance in
New York, right? With the way things are going, with
the way things are going with AI and everything else
that's going on, why do we not have this insurance?
Speaker 9 (46:16):
Right.
Speaker 18 (46:16):
It's 10 bucks a month. Think about the other side.
You probably watch more than... that annual fee in Netflix movies, right?
But you got $ 3 million in coverage for you and
your family.
Speaker 23 (46:28):
Who insures, like, LifeLock? Because, like, with the bank, if
my money messes up in my account, it's FDIC. With
you guys, where does that $ 3 million come from? Like,
where are y'all grabbing from?
Speaker 9 (46:38):
So.
Speaker 18 (46:39):
I'm not the head of finance, so I can't tell you.
And I'm probably not allowed to tell you exactly who
is building our risk profile of our insurance company.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
But it's insured by, I'm sure, insurance companies.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
Okay.
Speaker 18 (46:52):
And other partners and enterprises that specialize in insuring large,
huge companies like LifeLock. But you should know that it's
a restoration guarantee and that $ 3 million is real.
Speaker 12 (47:08):
You know, people hear identity theft protection, and I'm sure
they're probably thinking, what can LifeLock actually stop in regards
to that?
Speaker 2 (47:17):
And what can't it stop?
Speaker 9 (47:19):
Right.
Speaker 18 (47:20):
So what it could do is it could jump in
with the right timing to probably shut down something because
of the alerts. You could toggle and lock all your
credit with one touch. It gives you power to do that.
Like literally on my life lock up right now, I
could just shut down all my credit, which shuts down
(47:41):
a lot of things. So proactively it's got perfect timing
to maybe stop major damage. And then what it actually
can do is bring you back, bring like, how do
I say this? It's almost like something traumatic happens in
your life and, Whenever something traumatic happens in our lives,
(48:01):
we lead busy lives.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
We got to put our life.
Speaker 18 (48:04):
On pause to go clean up what? Our identity. Who's
got the time to do that? Who's got the time
to go talk to the banks, the credit cards, the IRS,
all these people that you now got to go talk to?
Speaker 1 (48:18):
We do it.
Speaker 18 (48:19):
So we do all of that for you. As far
as like being the ultimate preventer where we're going to
lock down the dark web, LifeLock can't lock down the
dark web.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
Lord have mercy.
Speaker 18 (48:30):
You know what I mean? Like the way things are
going with AI, who's going to, I mean, the U.S.
government getting locked down. The FBI just created a whole
new branch called AI fraud. They had to create it
last year because AI fraud is so, so big.
Speaker 12 (48:44):
Are criminals using AI faster than companies like LifeLock can
build the technology to stop it?
Speaker 18 (48:51):
In my personal opinion, I do think that what's happening
in the bad actor world is surpassing what The commercial
world can keep up with. And I bet you if
there was a government official here, they would say the
same thing, you know, because they're keeping an eye on it.
And it's international. Let's be honest about that. It's not
(49:13):
really just a domestic thing. It's like, you know, international
bad actors. There's all kinds of stuff going on. right?
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Like we are the number one consumer in the world.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
Absolutely.
Speaker 18 (49:23):
So we're like target number one.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
That's how I feel when I talk to these AI guys, right?
Speaker 12 (49:29):
Because it feels like the technology for AI is advancing,
but also... No, no, they're trying to increase the intelligence
and the safeguards at the same time.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
I don't know if that's possible.
Speaker 12 (49:43):
Like, I don't know if the safeguards can win that
race against the intelligence of the AI.
Speaker 14 (49:47):
I don't know.
Speaker 18 (49:48):
I mean, I think the great X factor is money.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
Because you're like, what are we going to do?
Speaker 18 (49:55):
We're competing in a global market with China, you know, Europe.
You know, we got to stay on top. It's America, right?
We got to be the cutting edge players. You know,
it's a tricky one.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
I asked that question to somebody verbatim.
Speaker 12 (50:09):
I said, so are you choosing safety over growth?
Speaker 2 (50:13):
Because, you know, see your point, the growth is the money, right?
You know what I mean?
Speaker 12 (50:17):
So at some point, one of these AI guys has
to say, all right, it's just all about safety.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
Forget the growth of the company. And I don't think
that's going to happen.
Speaker 18 (50:25):
Well, I do think that there's going to be safety
AI companies that are going to be a big part
of our lives. And The way we use technology, life
law certainly is going to be one of them. Meaning,
remember Terminator? Yeah, yeah. Remember at some point, like I
forgot what it was. It was like either Terminator 2
(50:46):
or 3 where Arnold switched over to being like the
good guy? I think that's what's happening is that the
only way to fight bad AI is with good AI.
Speaker 12 (50:57):
So every time security gets smarter, right? Criminals get smarter too.
When do we the consumers ever actually... Get ahead in
this situation.
Speaker 18 (51:06):
Look, we're going to be the moneymakers, right? We're going
to be feeding these companies and technologies and all that.
I think we just got to wake up sooner, soon, now,
and embrace the reality that even ChatGBT could be serving.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
You a bad link.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, my God.
Speaker 3 (51:28):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 18 (51:29):
Think about that, right? Because what is it doing? It's
scraping the whole web. AI can trick AI. AI can
trick AI.
Speaker 23 (51:36):
It's like how Google AI is like if you, what
I've learned, you just depend on Google AI. It might
not be the best source because it compiles from what
it scans across the web.
Speaker 4 (51:44):
Like you just don't know where some things are coming from.
Speaker 2 (51:46):
You say AI can trick AI is what you said.
Speaker 9 (51:48):
Of course.
Speaker 18 (51:49):
Because, you know, especially when companies are going really fast.
Speaker 1 (51:52):
Think about it.
Speaker 18 (51:53):
Think about how fast, like every hour, every day they're developing.
Things are changing every day. Look, like they're trying, they're scraping,
the LLMs are scraping YouTube, Reddit, comments section, social, whatever.
Who knows where somewhere there's a crack and a bad
actor could be putting fake comments up or reviews or
(52:16):
a deceptive site.
Speaker 2 (52:17):
That's scary. That's been happening.
Speaker 23 (52:19):
It's just scary that it's only going to get worse, though.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
That's why you need AI insurance.
Speaker 18 (52:24):
You know what I mean? You need something that, God forbid,
something happens.
Speaker 4 (52:28):
And it'll get smarter.
Speaker 5 (52:29):
Yep.
Speaker 23 (52:30):
Because it works off of human action and pattern. So
as LifeLock builds out patterns to protect, AI is watching
the patterns to build patterns to fight it.
Speaker 4 (52:40):
It's like marketing.
Speaker 1 (52:41):
It's Terminator.
Speaker 4 (52:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
The good bots and the bad bots.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
You come from the creative branding side, right?
Speaker 22 (52:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (52:48):
So you're essentially marketing a product, LifeLock, that is requiring,
reminding people that something terrible could happen.
Speaker 9 (52:58):
Right.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
So how do you sell protection without selling fear?
Speaker 9 (53:01):
Fear.
Speaker 18 (53:02):
That's a great, awesome question. Very, very, very smart question. Yeah,
fear-mongering is not what we want to do because consumers
shut down. Think about how negative our social feeds are.
Speaker 1 (53:14):
Now the last thing we.
Speaker 18 (53:15):
Want to do as a brand is be uber negative, right?
we believe that everybody, everyone in this room, everybody in
my circle of life, like we're working really hard as Americans, right.
To build something. We're trying to build something for our families.
We're trying to build, to build my identity, my reputation.
When you build something great, somebody wants it.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (53:36):
Right.
Speaker 18 (53:37):
So our, our, our narrative is protect what you built,
protect what you built because, um, In fact, we talk
about it very simple, maybe in an old school way,
like your name is everything. My dad used to say
that to me. I know, I'm sure a lot of people's-
People still say that. They still say that, right? Your
name's everything. That's literally what they want. They want everything
(54:00):
that's associated with your name, everything. Your name could have
been like you built your credit, your 401k, your career.
Everything about you makes you very valuable if you've built
a good name.
Speaker 22 (54:12):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 18 (54:13):
And when it's worth something, that's when people want to
steal it. And that's the narrative we go to market with.
You've built something, protect it. Because when it's worth something,
it's worth stealing.
Speaker 1 (54:24):
Bill, we appreciate you for joining us. LifeLock, check it out.
I'm definitely going to check it out. And I see
you got a family plan where I could get my
wife and my kids involved.
Speaker 14 (54:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:34):
Because I just want to make sure that their stuff
is secured.
Speaker 4 (54:36):
I was just thinking, like, Norton, you remember Norton? Well,
it's still around.
Speaker 19 (54:41):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:41):
That's part of our portfolio. Norton is part of our company.
Speaker 4 (54:46):
Okay.
Speaker 23 (54:47):
I don't know if I knew that, but with older people,
like with my mom and my grandmom, I found out
about Norton.
Speaker 4 (54:52):
Because of my mom.
Speaker 18 (54:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 23 (54:54):
We did it just on her computer solely, but then
it got, now, you know, people are calling you and
they'll tell you they're from this bank or from this
place or whatever.
Speaker 11 (55:01):
Right.
Speaker 23 (55:02):
And older people don't really, they don't, the way that
they think about things, they still think people are very
like nice and honest. So if you're calling, like they
just give out their information. Norton has been like the
barrier with my mom a couple of times. And I'm
just thinking about the fact that like you say, you
guys have that $ 3 million in restoration. We almost got
into a situation, but we, Norton helped us. But if
(55:23):
we didn't have that restoration, we would have been in
such a bad position. And a lot of times families
might not have it, especially right now. To cover these
bills that you get because somebody has to pay for
the damage that's done.
Speaker 9 (55:33):
Right.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
Until it's reconciled.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
Yes. Or you're on the hook. They don't care that
your identity was stolen.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
That is such an awesome story.
Speaker 18 (55:40):
And it gives me goosebumps that you have a real
personal story about that. That's why we connected Norton and LifeLock.
Speaker 4 (55:47):
I didn't even know y'all were connected. My mom still
swears by Norton.
Speaker 18 (55:49):
We connected it because we started realizing our Norton customers
also wanted identity protection. With the $ 3 million. So that's
crazy that you didn't know we did that, but that's
what we do.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
They're sister brands.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
Yeah, love that.
Speaker 1 (56:03):
Well, there you have it. Bill DeVaris. Did I say
your last name right? The Barris, yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
Nailed it.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
Well, thank you for joining us this morning.
Speaker 18 (56:09):
Of course, thank you.
Speaker 1 (56:09):
LifeLock, and it's The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 9 (56:11):
Good morning.
Speaker 12 (56:11):
Salute to young Miami, Clarisha, man. Me and Envy believed
in you, even if Lauren LaRosa didn't.
Speaker 1 (56:17):
That's right.
Speaker 23 (56:18):
First of all, being a City Girl fan, don't play
with me. Let me tell you, you can't even say
the name right, because you know you're just talking stupid.
Speaker 4 (56:23):
Yo, she got a record.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
That comes out tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
Oh, my gosh. I told y'all she got some joints.
Speaker 4 (56:30):
But we hadn't heard it.
Speaker 23 (56:31):
You were the only one that heard the whole album
like 50 years ago.
Speaker 2 (56:34):
It wasn't 50 years ago.
Speaker 4 (56:35):
We know you predate the internet. We know you heard
Young Miami first.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
All right.
Speaker 2 (56:38):
All right, you wear one good outfit and now you
sporty this morning.
Speaker 4 (56:41):
No, you said it was two.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
Well, she got it.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
Yeah, it was, yes.
Speaker 9 (56:43):
Exactly.
Speaker 4 (56:43):
Don't keep count for him.
Speaker 9 (56:44):
He old.
Speaker 1 (56:45):
Let him forget.
Speaker 4 (56:46):
I'll remind him.
Speaker 1 (56:47):
She got two records that come out tomorrow. You going
to play a snippet of it in the next room?
Speaker 4 (56:50):
In the next latest, we going to get to some
exclusive Young Miami records.
Speaker 2 (56:53):
Your belly button asked you.
Speaker 4 (56:54):
You can't even see my belly button.
Speaker 1 (56:56):
Let's get to the latest with Lauren. Guys and jerk.
Speaker 17 (57:00):
Because you particularly are bringing the energy to mainstream radio,
the black radio.
Speaker 2 (57:05):
Did you hear that exclusive?
Speaker 23 (57:08):
I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about everything
and everything.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
She be having the latest on things.
Speaker 4 (57:13):
You ask the questions that need to be answered.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
On The Breakfast Club.
Speaker 4 (57:16):
Little brown girls look at you and go, I want
to be like you.
Speaker 2 (57:19):
LL Cool B, talk to me.
Speaker 4 (57:21):
So a brief update, guys, with Rihanna.
Speaker 23 (57:23):
So the woman who is now charged with trying to
murder Rihanna. Remember, she came and she shot at Rihanna's
home over 10 times. So we told you guys that
a judge said that she was mentally competent enough to
stand trial.
Speaker 4 (57:36):
So trial will move forward.
Speaker 23 (57:37):
We now know that there was a an indictment that
took place involving a grand jury. And some of the
charges were upgraded after a weapons expert looked at the
actual gun that she used. But another thing that we
learned yesterday when this woman went to court was that
Rihanna actually was a part of the witness list.
Speaker 4 (57:57):
Like she actually testified.
Speaker 23 (57:58):
So there had been like three months where all of
this was kept under wraps because of the grand jury.
It was like a secret proceeding. And we know, I mean,
we don't know exactly what her testimony was, but we
do know that Rihanna testified and Rihanna's mom testified as well, too.
There was a whole witness list, but Rihanna and her
mom were a part of that list.
Speaker 1 (58:14):
As she should. You shot up my crib with my
kids and family.
Speaker 4 (58:17):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (58:18):
I'm pointing.
Speaker 12 (58:19):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (58:19):
You. Yep.
Speaker 17 (58:20):
Yep.
Speaker 15 (58:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 23 (58:21):
Well, that woman is looking at spending the rest of
her life in jail and she They say that she
is competent enough to stand that trial. So we'll be
following that and let you guys know what happens.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Hey, man, don't feel sorry for her.
Speaker 12 (58:33):
The only thing I wish is that, you know, those
correctional facilities had actual, you know, mental health institutions in
them to help her try to get some help.
Speaker 2 (58:40):
But that don't mean she should be free.
Speaker 23 (58:42):
Y'all know what else I was I was reading yesterday
when I was reading about the hearing yesterday. So, you
know how we were talking about some of the bullets
went into that air camper facility. That was outside that
Rihanna and A $ AP Rocky were in. And I told
you guys that some of the bullets actually struck the house.
Speaker 4 (58:56):
It was the.
Speaker 23 (58:57):
Nursery part of the house. And you remember her family
was in the house. Man, people are crazy.
Speaker 16 (59:02):
All right.
Speaker 4 (59:03):
Now let's shift gears a bit.
Speaker 23 (59:05):
So Drewski, we mentioned this briefly yesterday during our Netflix
part of the show. but bringing it here to the radio,
Drewski is part of the Time 100. He has made
the cover.
Speaker 1 (59:14):
Congratulations to Drewski.
Speaker 4 (59:14):
I'm part of the Time 100.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
Drop one of Kool's bombs for Drewski.
Speaker 4 (59:17):
Yeah, the world's most influential rising stars.
Speaker 23 (59:20):
I also saw Chase Infinity on that list, Olivia Miles
as well, too, on the list.
Speaker 4 (59:27):
But shout out to Drewski. He's having a.
Yes, ma'am. Of a year.
Speaker 12 (59:32):
Well-deserved.
Speaker 8 (59:33):
He's about to do some amazing things.
Speaker 4 (59:35):
It's about to be crazy.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
Talk about a heck of a year. He's about to
have a heck of a career.
Speaker 4 (59:38):
Heck of a life.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
Crazy out here. Wait to that. I hear that Brink
Trump's backing up for Drewski every day.
Speaker 4 (59:43):
It's on his way.
Speaker 2 (59:46):
Every day.
Speaker 23 (59:47):
Well, yesterday also, Drewski, Kai Sinat, and Kevin Hart gave
fans a surprise because they dropped their movie on Amazon
Prime Video. It's called A Livestream from Hell. Let's take
a listen to Kevin Hart talking about the surprise drop.
Speaker 24 (01:00:01):
This live stream from hell just dropped on Amazon, man.
A fun thing I did with Kyle Druski. Put up
my own money, shot something. This, of course, was on
the heels of us streaming. He was like, yo, let's
do something cool. Let's do something fun.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
You want to laugh? Go laugh. Go check it out.
Speaker 24 (01:00:15):
I just like the fact that it was on some,
let's just do some silly shit. Let's just fund some
silly shit and do it. This generation is all about
entrepreneurial movement and activity. And that's what I love the
most about what Kai and what Drewski are doing, man. Heavy,
heavy on the gas of we'll do it ourselves, we'll
create it ourselves. So it's dope as just to champion them.
(01:00:37):
Go watch it, go support it. Once again, fun, easy,
nothing crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Can't wait to watch it this weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:00:43):
Yeah, I started watching it yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
So, was it scripted?
Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
Did they write it out? Or was it just they
just were streaming and.
Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
It seems.
Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
Yeah, it seems like it's a little bit of both.
Speaker 23 (01:00:50):
Like, it feels like you're watching a stream or it
feels like you're watching one of Drewski's... You know how
he releases, like, his... I would say they're skits, but
they're full-on productions on his YouTube channel. It feels like
you're watching that, but you could tell that it's, like,
scripted and guided. Like, it's directed and all the things.
And they have... The sketches, yep. Yeah, they have guest appearances.
Duke Dennis, uh, Winnie Harlow. Um, who else did I see?
Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
I see Lala in the commercial.
Speaker 4 (01:01:13):
Uh, I forget the white guy's name.
Speaker 23 (01:01:15):
Um, they have a bunch of, uh, a bunch of
people that like come in because they're doing the whole
stream thing. They're supposed to be like the sleepover. So
people are coming into the house as they're streaming, but
it's haunted.
Speaker 18 (01:01:26):
So yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
And it's official production.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
It's heartbeat.
Speaker 12 (01:01:28):
It's, uh, for life, which is Drew's production company, uh,
OBB media.
Speaker 16 (01:01:33):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
And you mentioned something about their ranking yesterday on Amazon.
Speaker 12 (01:01:37):
When I turned on the game, I was about to
watch the Dream Mystics game, and.
Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
They were like number four, ranked number four, I think.
Speaker 18 (01:01:45):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
Shout out to them.
Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
Probably number one by now.
Speaker 23 (01:01:48):
Yeah, I tried to get on my Prime video to
verify it, but it's not allowed.
Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
But anyway, shout out to them. No, it's just not
signed in, Amy. Don't play with me. All right, that's
the latest for the hour, y'all.
Speaker 12 (01:02:00):
And salute to Miko Grimes. She asked a very valid question.
She said, why did y'all play Spin That after the
Life Locker? The LifeLock interview.
Speaker 5 (01:02:07):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 12 (01:02:08):
Nobody up here thinks ever.
Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
There's no real production happening here.
Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
That's funny.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
We had Bill DeVars up here, VP of, you know.
Speaker 12 (01:02:16):
General Creative Studio, parent company of LifeLock, and you just
played Spin That right after that.
Speaker 4 (01:02:20):
That's actually pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
That's not funny, actually.
Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
And imagine all the people who was listening who had
got scammed.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
Miko just listening like everybody else. She's like, damn, why
would they play that after something like that?
Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
My identity has just been stolen.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
You see what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
That's ridiculous.
Speaker 23 (01:02:37):
It was Jerry O'Connell. That's the name I was trying
to find. You know Jerry O'Connell?
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
He was just up here. We just interviewed him. He
did the life lock.
Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
All white people don't look alike, man.
Speaker 1 (01:02:49):
All right. That is the latest with Lauren. I know
him from a lot of movies back in the day. Now,
don't forget, today is Jess Fix My Mess. If you
have relationship issues or problems, you can call Jess right now.
She'll help you with your problems.
Speaker 11 (01:03:01):
800-585-1051.
Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
And Charlamagne, who are you giving your donkey to, man?
Speaker 12 (01:03:04):
Man, four after the hour, we need the Secretary of Defense, a.k.a.
the Secretary of War, Pete Hester, to come to the
front of the congregation. We'd like to have a word
with him.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
All right, we'll get to that next. It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
This is America.
Speaker 7 (01:03:17):
There is no question that there are problems in this
country between police and community.
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
Yes, you are a donkey.
Speaker 7 (01:03:26):
The latest on that police killing of a black man.
Speaker 21 (01:03:28):
Now to new developments in the deadly spa shooting rampage.
And yesterday was a really bad day for him, and
this is what he did.
Speaker 4 (01:03:33):
And so we are in a state of emergency.
Speaker 12 (01:03:37):
Okay, white supremacist violence is and always has been the
number one threat to our society.
Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
But I'm also very proud that my wife is white.
Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
My wife is white.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
To the breakfast club, bitches.
Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
All right, Charlene, please tell me, why was I your.
Speaker 4 (01:03:50):
Donkey of the day?
Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Donkey of the day for Thursday, October 1st. The first
of the month goes.
Speaker 12 (01:03:55):
To the Secretary of Defense, a.k.a. the Secretary of War,
Pete Hexheff. If you haven't heard, Pete Hexheff announced that
the Pentagon is cutting the number of generals and admirals
by 20%.
Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
Let's go to CBS News for the report, please.
Speaker 15 (01:04:07):
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth talked today about the state of
the U.S. fighting force on the same stage where a
year ago he called for things like no more beardos
or fat generals. Today's speech was similar in tone, but
came with another major cut to the ranks of U.S.
admirals and generals as well. Here's senior national security correspondent
Charlie D'Agata.
Speaker 14 (01:04:25):
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth began the day with what he
called PT at the Pentagon. on the war path before
gutting one in five of America's most experienced generals and
admirals across the services.
Speaker 17 (01:04:39):
The media calls that a purge. I call it accountability
and long overdue.
Speaker 14 (01:04:46):
Hegseth has previously pushed out nearly 20 senior officers, plus
the secretaries of the Army and Navy, and blocked several
women and minorities from being promoted. Former Air Force Secretary
Frank Kendall served under President Biden. He said it will
take a generation to recover from Hegseth's moves.
Speaker 24 (01:05:05):
We don't have an excess of generals sitting around with
nothing to do, and we don't have overly inflated positions.
Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
So what he's doing is a political stunt, frankly, that
is going to have very negative impact.
Speaker 14 (01:05:15):
Hegseth boasted about ridding the Pentagon of what he called
woke culture.
Speaker 17 (01:05:20):
No more diversity quotas, no more gender pronouns, no more
identity months.
Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
Only the warrior ethos.
Speaker 12 (01:05:29):
Now, every time I hear about Pete Hexeth making these
cuts to the military, the YouTube conspiracy theorist in me says,
my God, they're purging the military because Trump only wants
Trump loyalists in the military because he plans on using
the military to steal the midterms and to stay in
power in 2028.
Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
But then.
Speaker 12 (01:05:46):
The common sense fact-based individual in me says, hey, hey, stop. Okay,
the available evidence doesn't support that theory, so let's think
more logically.
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
Well, what's logical, Thick Muffin?
Speaker 12 (01:05:56):
Well, what's logical to me is the Trump administration is
removing senior military leadership while also openly talking about getting
rid of people associated with wokeness, which is an ideology
it opposes.
Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
Now, that, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 12 (01:06:09):
Creates a dangerous message inside the military, and that message
is simply, Loyalty to the Constitution may not be enough anymore. OK,
so officers might start believing that loyalty to the president
is how you survive. And once people in uniform start
making career decisions based on what they think one man
wants to hear. Oh, you're not just changing military leadership.
(01:06:30):
You're changing what loyalty means inside the military period. And
then that's when the YouTube conspiracy theorist in me comes
back and says, yes, that loyalty to the president and
not the Constitution is what will cause them to steal
the midterms and help Trump stay in power in 2028. Look, look, look, stop. Stop,
YouTube conspiracy theorist inside of me. OK, maybe the military
(01:06:53):
is top heavy. Maybe you don't need that many generals, okay?
Governments restructure all the time, but we know this administration,
so we know. Whatever story we are being told isn't
the whole story because Pete Hexuff. isn't simply talking about
restructuring the military. He's talking about reshaping the culture of
the military, okay? He wants to get rid of what
(01:07:14):
he calls woke culture.
Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
In the military. You just heard the news report, okay?
Speaker 12 (01:07:18):
He's been openly hostile toward DEI programs. He announced new
partnerships with colleges he considers more aligned with the values
he wants the military to represent. Listen, I can't tell
you I know exactly what Pete Hexthoff and Donald Trump's
intentions are, but I can tell you what my eyes see.
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
And what my eyes see.
Speaker 12 (01:07:38):
Is the administration is systematically changing senior military leadership while
openly talking about eliminating an ideology it opposes.
Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
And it goes back to what I said earlier.
Speaker 12 (01:07:50):
It creates a dangerous message inside the military, a dangerous
mentality inside the military. And that mentality is loyalty to
the constitution itself.
Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
May not be enough.
Speaker 12 (01:08:01):
OK, officers could start believing loyalty to the president is
how you survive. It knows, my friends, the two completely
different things. OK, President Trump, whether you like it or not,
is the commander in chief. And the military follows the
lawful orders.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
Of the commander in chief. OK, but are brave.
Speaker 12 (01:08:19):
And bold military officers, they don't take an oath to
Donald Trump, just like they didn't take one to Joe
Biden or Barack Obama, George Bush, none of them. They
swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution of
the United States of Anxiety.
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
I mean America, okay? Presidents come and go.
Speaker 12 (01:08:36):
The Constitution is supposed to remain the same and this
is why I don't even need to accuse anybody of
planning some grand conspiracy. I don't need to say they're
getting the military ready to keep Trump in power. I
can't prove that. But what I can say is that
America should be extremely uncomfortable anytime political ideology starts becoming
part of the conversation about who belongs in military leadership.
(01:09:00):
because that's how institutions get politicized it don't start with
someone walking into the pentagon talking about a from now
on everybody has to pledge allegiance to donald trump it's
way more subtle than that okay one general.
Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
Gets fired Another officer gets pushed out.
Speaker 12 (01:09:15):
Another officer realizes speaking up might cost them a promotion.
Somebody else decides it's probably smarter to keep their mouth shut.
And eventually people start learning what behavior gets rewarded and
what behavior gets punished. And that's how hoes become loyal,
regardless of what.
Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
Chris Brown has told you.
Speaker 12 (01:09:34):
OK, when you create an environment where people figure out
for themselves that loyalty is good for their career, man,
watch out. OK, once people in uniform start making career
decisions based on what they think one man wants to hear,
you're not changing military leadership. You're changing what loyalty means
inside the military. And trust your uncle, Sharla. You do
(01:09:55):
not want armed institutions built around loyalty to individuals. OK,
I don't want the United States military personally personally loyal
to any president. OK, I want them loyal to the Constitution.
And I know all of us got short memories. It's
a lot going on. So we might have forgot. Last year,
Pete Hextech gathered all the senior commanders around and he
(01:10:16):
told officers who didn't support his agenda, they should resign.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
Let's listen. But if the.
Speaker 17 (01:10:21):
Words I'm speaking today are making your heart sink, then
you should do the honorable thing and resign.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
We would thank you for your service.
Speaker 14 (01:10:33):
Oof.
Speaker 12 (01:10:34):
You don't agree with where we're taking this institution. Maybe
you shouldn't be here. Fast forward a year later, we're
cutting 20 percent of generals and admirals while continuing to
talk about cleansing the military of ideas the administration doesn't like.
Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
What happens?
Speaker 12 (01:10:48):
When a general tells the president something he doesn't want
to hear. What happens when a military officer believes an
order crosses a legal or constitutional line?
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Does that officer feel empowered to say so?
Speaker 12 (01:10:59):
Or does that officer look around at everybody who got
removed and think to himself, damn.
Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
I got a mortgage.
Speaker 12 (01:11:06):
OK, that's how institutional independence disappears. America, one personnel decision
at a time. OK, look, the YouTube conspiracy theorist in
me is saying, tell them, tell them that Hexup is
building Trump's personal military.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
I can't prove that. I can't. But I can say.
Speaker 12 (01:11:26):
When you're restructuring America's military leadership while also declaring war
on an ideology inside that military, you create a legitimate
question that needs to be asked about what kind of
loyalty you're rewarding. And I just want to tell y'all,
America does not need loyalty. a trump military okay america
needs the united states military a military where the president
(01:11:49):
gives lawful keyword lawful orders okay all right the military
follows lawful keyword again lawful orders and everybody involved understands
there is something above all of them and that something
is the constitution okay presidents serve terms the constitution does
not Please give the Secretary of Defense, a.k.a.
Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
The Secretary of War, Pete Hexseff, the biggest hee-haw. All right.
What a crazy world we're in right now.
Speaker 1 (01:12:22):
So crazy. And that audio that he said is just unbelievable.
Speaker 15 (01:12:28):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
All right. Well, thank you for that donkey today, sir.
Speaker 9 (01:12:32):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
And hoes are loyal. I just want y'all to know that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
Now, when we come back.
Speaker 4 (01:12:35):
It depends on who you are.
Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
As long as they're getting something out of it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
See what I'm saying?
Speaker 12 (01:12:42):
If their loyalty depends on what you can do for them,
they'll pretty much be loyal.
Speaker 8 (01:12:46):
That's how you define a hoe.
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
See what I'm saying?
Speaker 10 (01:12:49):
Exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Hey, military personnel out there, don't be hoes.
Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
There you go. All right. Well, coming up next is

Speaker 1 (01:13:19):

We are The Breakfast Club. It's time for Jess Fix
My Mess.
Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
Hello, who's this?
Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
Hey, this is Jess from Florida, Dexamore, Florida.
Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
What's up, mama? Can you take us off Bluetooth for
speaker so we can hear you clearer?
Speaker 5 (01:13:34):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Can you hear me now?
Speaker 1 (01:13:35):
I can hear you much better now. Good morning.
Speaker 4 (01:13:37):
Duval.
Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
Good morning, Ricky. Duval. Good morning, Breakfast Club.
Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
I am doing good, Jessica. I need you. I need you.
Speaker 4 (01:13:46):
What's wrong? What's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (01:13:49):
So, hold on. Oh, Lord.
Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
So, I've been in a situation shit with my baby's
father up until for 10 years. Up until August. So,
he decided to leave the female that he was with
due to him not, well, due to her not accepting.
Speaker 5 (01:14:03):
His kid.
Speaker 3 (01:14:04):
So I told him I was cool with him still communicating.
I am perfectly fine with him communicating with his ex-wife.
She love my baby.
Speaker 4 (01:14:11):
I love her.
Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
No issues. But this ex-girlfriend, she gotta go. She gotta go.
If he would have told me she was emotional, unstable,
I would have told him to cut off. But I said,
don't just cut off because she's obsessed with you. But
at this point, baby, she doing too much. She's a
little emotional and she don't know how to be friends
with him.
Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:14:31):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:14:31):
So listen, hold on. Let me get this straight. Okay.
Speaker 8 (01:14:33):
So your man is still friends with his crazy ass ex-girlfriend.
Speaker 14 (01:14:38):
Yep. Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:14:39):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:14:39):
And you told him to cut her off.
Speaker 14 (01:14:41):
No, no, no.
Speaker 4 (01:14:42):
He tried to, he tried to cut.
Speaker 8 (01:14:43):
Her off, but you told her, he was like, you,
you insisted that he, what, he still be friends with
her because there, you, you didn't suspect anything going on,
any foul play, right?
Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
I mean, not even that. It was just more so
we've been in this situation for 10 years. And the
reason why we didn't get together is because I would
have been getting my head knocked aside because we was
not in the place to be in a relationship together.
So I've been here through a few girlfriends, the ex-wife,
all of that. So I haven't had no problems with
(01:15:12):
him communicating with no exes. They all know how to
be friends.
Speaker 8 (01:15:16):
Because you always was there playing the background waiting for
him to be yours.
Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Well, not even waiting to be mine because I already
know he ain't mine, but now he mine. Okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (01:15:25):
You knew he wasn't yours, but now he is yours.
Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
So you was hating.
Speaker 4 (01:15:27):
I mean, not you was hating.
Speaker 8 (01:15:28):
You was hanging in the background in the shadows doing
your thing until he got ready.
Speaker 4 (01:15:32):
To be with you and you got ready to be
with him.
Speaker 3 (01:15:35):
And then I popped out that first time. He fell
in love. And then I popped out his twins. And
now it's just like we here.
Speaker 4 (01:15:41):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
We got to get past this and start friends.
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (01:15:45):
Well, you know, that's going to be hard to do
because you were once for that type of communication. You
were once for that type of remaining friendship. You know
what I mean? And I feel like you gave too
much leeway to that.
Speaker 4 (01:15:57):
You understand what I'm saying?
Speaker 8 (01:15:58):
And it could be because it could be because of
how you got him and how long you've known him
and you've seen him through multiple relationships, even a marriage.
You said you understand what I'm saying? So, What is
he telling you when you're saying, OK, this got to stop?
We got to figure this out.
Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
What is he saying? How does he feel about it?
Speaker 3 (01:16:16):
Well, he has officially gotten to the point where, like, yeah,
she got to go because there's no understanding. He used
to deliver and she literally put an order in for
a treadmill to see if he was going to come.
Speaker 14 (01:16:29):
To the house.
Speaker 10 (01:16:29):
Cuckoo.
Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
So it was just like, OK, maybe it's not going
to work. It's something I'm going to have to give,
but she makes her little shots and all that.
Speaker 4 (01:16:39):
I try to be.
Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
A bigger person.
Speaker 19 (01:16:41):
I don't reach that.
Speaker 8 (01:16:42):
Is she physically harming anybody? Is she threatening you guys?
Is she stalking you guys? Because I'm trying to figure
out why you guys haven't taken any legal action if
this is becoming a little.
Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
Because it's just emotional for her. It's just emotional for her.
And I'm trying to tell him, like, it's just she
loves you. And he's a lovable guy. So I'm to understand.
I think that is my problem. But he got to
figure out how to tell her or just stop talking
to her. I don't know. But he's going to have
to figure that part out. I let him know, like,
if it's not going to work out with y'all being friends,
(01:17:14):
then you're going to have to figure out how to
get her away. But I already let him know, you
got to.
Speaker 19 (01:17:20):
Figure that part out.
Speaker 8 (01:17:21):
Yeah, I'm going to tell you right now, this is
the first Just With The Mess where I can say
I don't have not one piece of goddamn advice for
y'all crazy people.
Speaker 4 (01:17:31):
Because y'all all in this ish together.
Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
We just be doing stuff.
Speaker 8 (01:17:35):
Girl, yes, how you got him and how he got
you and how she.
Speaker 4 (01:17:38):
Still got a hold on him and you okay with it.
Like Charlotte said, the craziest people come from Florida and
the Bronx.
Speaker 9 (01:17:45):
Exactly.
Speaker 8 (01:17:47):
But he did also say that y'all are very intelligent
people and you are intelligent enough to know that this
ain't right. But that ain't gonna stop you from doing it.
You ain't gonna leave that man and that girl ain't
gonna leave that man alone either. So I might as
well just figure out how to co-mingle together.
Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
I love that man.
Speaker 8 (01:18:03):
I know you love him and he love you too,
you know, but he also love her as well. And
she loves him dangerously. So just watch your back.
Speaker 4 (01:18:11):
Just watch, just watch her. Cause you never know.
Speaker 8 (01:18:13):
Like this is how those fatal attraction stories happen or these, uh,
these snaps stories happen.
Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
Like just still be careful. You know, I hate to
see any of you get hurt. You know what I mean?
But just be careful about it.
Speaker 8 (01:18:24):
Cause emotions can run you raggedy and run you wild
and it can make you crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
Will do. Thank you, Jess.
Speaker 4 (01:18:32):
No problem. No problem. Be careful, baby girl. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
Just fix my mess.
Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
800-585-1051.
Speaker 1 (01:18:38):
If you need relationship advice, call Jess now. It's the
Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
Morning, everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
It's DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious.
Speaker 4 (01:18:46):
How did that even happen?
Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
Hello?
Speaker 9 (01:18:48):
Hello.
Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
Hey, what's your name?
Speaker 9 (01:18:49):
Tia.
Speaker 4 (01:18:49):
Hey, this is Tia from Houston. This is Jess Fix
My Mess. What's your question for Jess?
Speaker 1 (01:18:55):
Okay, Jess.
Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
First of all, girl, you look bomb today. I love
that hat you got on.
Speaker 4 (01:19:12):
Thank you, baby.
Speaker 3 (01:19:13):
So I've been with this guy for 11 years. We
actually just met 11 years, two days ago.
Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
Okay.
Speaker 13 (01:19:20):
He forgot our anniversary. This is the second year in
a row he forgot. So I didn't say anything until
like the next day or so. And so finally now
he feels bad. So he decides to buy me Chris
Brown tickets. Now my birthday is the actual day of
the concert, which is Friday.
Speaker 9 (01:19:35):
Okay.
Speaker 13 (01:19:37):
He bought me the worst tickets in the place. The
highest level, the last row in the highest level of
the whole entire building.
Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
Oh, my God. But you know what?
Speaker 8 (01:19:49):
That ain't that bad because, you know, Chris Brown be
flying around the damn stadium and arenas and all of that.
Speaker 4 (01:19:54):
So he might fly past you. You might be able
to jump on the strings.
Speaker 3 (01:19:57):
Not only that, like, I've been with him for 11 years.
He does not want to marry me. We have four kids.
I have a.
Speaker 13 (01:20:03):
New three-month-old baby with me right now. That's my birthday baby.
Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
From last year. And he has no intentions of marrying me.
This is a birthday baby from last year.
Speaker 10 (01:20:14):
I'm 41.
Speaker 3 (01:20:14):
I'm about to be 42 years old.
Speaker 4 (01:20:17):
Well, congratulations for still being able to conceive and have
a safe birth, girl. Yes, ma'am. You better get it, mommy.
Speaker 8 (01:20:22):
But, okay, so you asking me what you should do
after you just told me everything that's been going on.
Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
You asking me what you should do?
Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
I'm just devastated.
Speaker 22 (01:20:33):
I know.
Speaker 8 (01:20:34):
I know it has to be devastating to give someone
11 years of your life, four children, one in which
you just had a year ago, right?
Speaker 4 (01:20:42):
Well, not even a year ago. Or was it a
year ago? No, he only three months. I'm sorry, you did,
but you throwing me off because you was.
Speaker 8 (01:20:48):
Like, last year I had another baby. No, you had
another baby a few months ago.
Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 3 (01:20:54):
We have eight, six, three children. And three months old.
Speaker 4 (01:20:58):
And you asking me what you should do. What do
you think you should do? Be honest.
Speaker 8 (01:21:03):
It's just me and you right now and the whole world.
But like me, you just talking. What do you think
you should do?
Speaker 13 (01:21:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
You know, because if I what what am I mean,
I'm a nurse. But what am I going to do
with four kids by myself?
Speaker 8 (01:21:18):
You're going to raise them and you're going to take
care of them and you're going to take care of yourself.
And you're going to do bad by yourself, you know,
because you're not going to ever forget any of those
baby's birthdays. You're not going to forget about yourself. That
man forget about you. You've been with him for 11 years.
Forget the Chris Brown tickets and you being up in
nosebleeds or whatever. Ain't nobody worry about that. Listen, that
(01:21:39):
man got his own agenda. He got his own things
going on. You let him do what he got. You
let him deal with his life and let him do
what he got to do for himself.
Speaker 4 (01:21:47):
It don't matter. You do what you need to do.
You take them four kids.
Speaker 8 (01:21:51):
Y'all figure that ish out because he still got to
be a father at the end of the day.
Speaker 4 (01:21:55):
Is he a deadbeat? Does he care about his kids?
Speaker 3 (01:21:57):
No, he care about him. He 100% take care of
the kids.
Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
Well, good.
Speaker 14 (01:22:02):
Good.
Speaker 4 (01:22:02):
That's all you need right there. That's all you need.
Speaker 8 (01:22:05):
If he's a good father, forget him being a good man. Obviously,
we see that ain't, you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 4 (01:22:11):
That don't work.
Speaker 8 (01:22:13):
The relationship ain't what it's supposed to be because you're
supposed to be married by now because that's what you want.
Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
You know, I can't put marriage on everyone. Did he
ever tell you?
Speaker 8 (01:22:20):
Listen, did he ever tell you that marriage is not
for him? You don't want to get married before I
get married to this man.
Speaker 13 (01:22:26):
He didn't tell me that he was with somebody for
12 years and he didn't marry her before we got together.
And I had told him, I'm like, I'm not going
to be with you for 12 years and we not
getting married. And we on year 11 now.
Speaker 4 (01:22:38):
Okay. What did he say when you said that?
Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
He didn't say anything.
Speaker 4 (01:22:41):
Okay. So that told you. But he did.
Speaker 3 (01:22:44):
Tell me, he did tell me he don't believe in marriage.
Speaker 4 (01:22:47):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
So he didn't say that at that time. He told
me that probably about three, four years.
Speaker 4 (01:22:54):
And did you have any kids yet when he told
you that?
Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
No.
Speaker 8 (01:22:57):
Okay, so this is where I hang up on you
because you done set your goddamn self up.
Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
What is wrong with you?
Speaker 4 (01:23:03):
He told you before he had... No, hush. He told
you before you had any kids.
Speaker 8 (01:23:09):
You laid down there and you let him get you pregnant, okay?
You participated in the act.
Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
No, no, no.
Speaker 4 (01:23:16):
And you knew you wanted marriage.
Speaker 3 (01:23:18):
He didn't tell me that before we had the kids.
He didn't tell me that before we had our first baby.
Speaker 4 (01:23:23):
Okay, so you still only had one kid when he
told you that? Yeah. And you could have left his
ass then. You didn't. If these men aren't constantly.
Speaker 13 (01:23:32):
Can you call your man and tell him to upgrade
my seat, please?
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
Oh, my God. Who you talking about?
Speaker 13 (01:23:38):

Speaker 4 (01:23:38):

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Yeah, he started from the TV.
Speaker 4 (01:24:35):
Oh, that's so nice. You better take care of Makai, okay?
Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
Okay. She said they saw you on the TV because
we watch y'all every morning while they're getting ready for school.
Speaker 4 (01:24:45):
I love it. I love it. And you can do it. Look,
all that you're doing right now, you can do.
Speaker 8 (01:24:49):
All of that by yourself with your kids somewhere, living
life and enjoying it and pouring into yourself and loving
on yourself because you obviously ain't been loving yourself enough.
Speaker 9 (01:24:58):
Okay.
Speaker 19 (01:24:59):
I know.
Speaker 4 (01:24:59):
I got to.
Speaker 3 (01:25:01):
I know. I got to try to figure it out.
Speaker 13 (01:25:04):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
But you don't figure it out.
Speaker 4 (01:25:07):
You're going to figure it out.
Speaker 8 (01:25:08):
You held on this long and don't know how you
did it. Figure it out somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
Okay, this is my last ditch effort. The concert is
next Friday on my actual birthday. Call your man, please.
Speaker 4 (01:25:19):
He ain't my man.
Speaker 8 (01:25:20):
I'm married to a whole nother Chris, girl. Me and
Chris Brown ain't been together in years, all right? But

Speaker 12 (01:25:31):

Speaker 4 (01:25:49):
Tell her!
Speaker 9 (01:25:50):
Maybe!
Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
You get something from somebody that knows somebody. She gets
the details.
Speaker 4 (01:25:52):
I'm the homegirl that knows a little bit about everything.
Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
She be having the latest on you.
Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
The latest with Lauren LaRosa.
Speaker 12 (01:26:00):

Speaker 4 (01:26:04):
Well, it's the latest.
Speaker 1 (01:26:05):
Brought to you by Top Dog Law. On the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 2 (01:26:08):
Talk LL Cool Bay, Top Dog Low. Yes, sir.
Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
Let's get it. Turn LL Cool Bay's mic on.
Speaker 19 (01:26:14):
Oh, yes.
Speaker 2 (01:26:15):
Turn her mic on.
Speaker 4 (01:26:16):
I'm loud because I still hurt myself.
Speaker 21 (01:26:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:26:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:26:18):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:26:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (01:26:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (01:26:19):
All right.
Speaker 23 (01:26:19):
So let's get into some music things. Yesterday, G Herbo
got the fans.
Speaker 14 (01:26:23):
Right.
Speaker 11 (01:26:23):
He is.
Speaker 4 (01:26:24):
Clown out.
Speaker 23 (01:26:25):
G Herbo got the fans excited yesterday. Not excited, but upset. Like,
he got them going because he was talking about retiring
from rap. Let's take a listen to G Herbo.
Speaker 9 (01:26:35):
Right now, man, I'm doing this rap shit, man. I
will be retiring. I'm not dropping no more music for
the rest of my career. I'm going into the restaurant
business and just invest. I started meditating like that because
I'm retired. I'm going to just focus on my mental.
Rap is too draining. It's taking away from my energy.
Speaker 18 (01:26:55):
It's stressful.
Speaker 9 (01:26:56):
It's full of weirdos and snitches and shit. And I
don't want to be a part of it anymore, so.
Speaker 18 (01:27:01):
Lord, y'all, man. Y'all will still see me around.
Speaker 9 (01:27:04):
Maybe I'll go into acting or something or start a
podcast or some * * * * like that. I
got a very.
Speaker 24 (01:27:09):
Large catalog that expands over the course of almost 15 years,
so y'all can listen to that when y'all miss me, man,
and get y'all through.
Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
See y'all, man.
Speaker 9 (01:27:18):
See y'all around.
Speaker 12 (01:27:19):
Now, my guy G Herbo is really about that mindfulness,
mental health life. He's been a guest at the Mental
Wealth Expo before.
Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
So I believe him because this is a lot of pressure.
Speaker 14 (01:27:28):
Right.
Speaker 12 (01:27:28):
But even he said he still want to do acting
and get podcast.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
He's letting them know right now. He's still going to
get that same type of scrutiny.
Speaker 4 (01:27:35):
Well, he posted a.
Speaker 23 (01:27:37):
Record four hours ago. And on the caption of the video,
he says, I got everything I ever asked for off
this rap ish. And then his caption says, I ain't
never quit at nothing. And the song sounds very like deep.
Speaker 4 (01:27:48):
So I don't know.
Speaker 23 (01:27:49):
Maybe he was just going through something and need to
get it out. But I understand you go through a
lot when you have so many eyes on you and
everybody like picking at things and you got the business
and you got family.
Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
It's a lot that goes into all of it.
Speaker 22 (01:28:00):
Yes.
Speaker 12 (01:28:00):
And I think social media makes it a million times
worse because literally you are not built to get all
of these opinions about you all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
Good or bad. You know what I'm saying? Like people
just think it's just a negative. No, good or bad.
Speaker 5 (01:28:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 23 (01:28:13):
Well, speaking of opinions, good and bad, Young Miami, there
has always been and recently been conversation around her music
because we know that she's working on her debut album.
Speaker 4 (01:28:22):
Oh, yesterday.
Speaker 3 (01:28:23):
Yes.
Speaker 23 (01:28:24):
Yesterday, Young Miami dropped the trailer announcing her debut album.
Speaker 4 (01:28:28):
Watch this. Let's take a listen to the trailer.
Speaker 9 (01:28:30):
If Complex were to do a list of where all
the female rappers rate, Carisha, you would be last on
the list.
Speaker 23 (01:28:37):
Young Miami put out a snippet of a song and
and the fans are not loving it.
Speaker 9 (01:28:42):
Wow!
Speaker 11 (01:28:42):
I just left the studio. It's 6.30, 7 a.m. These
last few days ain't been good for me. I had
a mental breakdown. The other day, I was dropping my
son off. He said, you okay, Mommy? I said, y'all
have a depress. That moment right there, my son seeing
me hurt, I said, this is going to be my
last time I'm crying.
Speaker 4 (01:28:59):
It took me two years to make this album. I
don't know how some days I feel the courage to
go in the studio to even record a song, but
I remember putting all of my emotions into this album.
Speaker 8 (01:29:09):
I remember crying, questioning myself, even when I felt like
it was the whole world versus me.
Speaker 4 (01:29:13):
I ain't let none of that s * * *
stop me.
Speaker 16 (01:29:15):
I ain't let nothing get.
Speaker 9 (01:29:16):
In my way.
Speaker 23 (01:29:17):
Dropping a Clues bomb for Carisha man been there She said,
every tear, every lesson, every heartbreak, every time I felt
counted out, every time somebody made me feel like I
wasn't enough, I put it all in the music. This
is my story, my first solo album, my comeback, my
truth to everybody who counted me out. Thank you to
everybody who stopped believing in me.
Speaker 4 (01:29:34):
This is for you. Now watch this.
Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
That's right. I like those kind of stories. You fronted
on me. Now what?
Speaker 3 (01:29:38):
Now what, Lo?
Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
Now what, Lo?
Speaker 4 (01:29:40):
I never fronted on Young Miami.
Speaker 23 (01:29:42):
We were talking about the way that people felt about
when she dropped the T-Town record.
Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
Don't backpedal now.
Speaker 4 (01:29:47):
Been loving Young Miami. Don't do me.
Speaker 23 (01:29:49):
But I want to say we do have some exclusive music.
Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
Watch this.
Speaker 4 (01:29:55):
I want you guys to hear.
Speaker 23 (01:29:56):
You'll hear her first exclusively. So let's take a listen
to the FU snippet.
Speaker 4 (01:30:02):
If you say it's up, then it's up.
Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
I'm a mama and I'm a thotty.
Speaker 4 (01:30:05):
And I'm a badass bitch. Got an ocean for a
piece of sucka mean ass. I'm a lemon and I'm
a cherry. I get crazy and fish. I might get
a hoe or pass and still go off.
Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
Woo!
Speaker 9 (01:30:16):
Hold on, wait.
Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
I got an ocean for a boom boom and I
suck a mean ass.
Speaker 4 (01:30:20):
I knew that was going to sit with you.
Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
Thick muffin.
Speaker 4 (01:30:23):
Thick muffin.
Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
You can't even say that.
Speaker 4 (01:30:25):
Anyway, we have one more record. So this is another
song from.
Speaker 23 (01:30:29):
Watch This that is called 2008. Let's take a listen
to this one.
Speaker 1 (01:30:44):
I know one thing is Jeezy on there no no
it's an ode to Jeezy it's called 2008.
Speaker 8 (01:30:49):
I know but it would have been fire if he
was on there I mean it's still fire but like
if he got.
Speaker 12 (01:30:54):
On there cause she came out to one of his
Vegas shows I know one thing that's produced by Jay
White Spin that opened up a whole new budget because
it wasn't none of that on the album, I heard.
Speaker 23 (01:31:04):
I heard that she went back in and redid a
lot of the songs.
Speaker 12 (01:31:08):
I'm telling you she clearly went back in. I know
she went back in.
Speaker 4 (01:31:11):
But you know what?
Speaker 23 (01:31:12):
What I love about this with Young Miami is she
goes through all this stuff publicly and she was in
it and had to sit in it, but she used
it to kind of fuel because you hear in the
music that she's talking.
Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
Play the trailer again. Play Lauren on the trailer again
when Lauren.
Speaker 3 (01:31:27):
Was saying that ain't nobody else feeling the music.
Speaker 2 (01:31:29):
Nah, play that again.
Speaker 19 (01:31:31):
Nah, nah, nah, nah.
Speaker 3 (01:31:32):
Shut up.
Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
Don't drop.
Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
Why would you play it again? All the female rappers rate.
Speaker 9 (01:31:36):
Carisha, you would be last on the list.
Speaker 23 (01:31:39):
Young Miami put out a snippet of a song and
the fans are not loving it.
Speaker 18 (01:31:44):
Damn!
Speaker 1 (01:31:44):
We should have had you talking about her remix.
Speaker 4 (01:31:50):
That's been that remix.
Speaker 2 (01:31:51):
I didn't like the remix, but that don't got nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:31:53):
To do with nothing.
Speaker 23 (01:31:53):
So what's wrong with you saying that and me saying
that people wasn't feeling T-Town? I love Young Miami. Congratulations,
because this is about to be, you about to drop
some hits.
Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
Who's it brought to you by?
Speaker 23 (01:32:03):
It's brought to you by Top Dog Law. It is built,
Top Dog Law is built for tough cases. Go see
how much your cave is worth.
Speaker 16 (01:32:11):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:32:12):
Get it together.
Speaker 4 (01:32:13):
Arisha got you blocked in.
Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
Shut up!
Speaker 23 (01:32:16):
Don't see how much your case is worth.
Speaker 4 (01:32:19):
It's TopDogLaw.com. You get on my nerves.
Speaker 1 (01:32:22):
Let's get to the mix. We're not supposed to play
the record. We were only supposed to play the snippet.
Play the record, y'all.
Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
Play the record.
Speaker 4 (01:32:28):
She gonna think it's me.
Speaker 1 (01:32:30):
I'm playing the record. Now I'm just gonna let y'all know.
Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
The dirty version, of course, because it's FU.
Speaker 1 (01:32:37):
I can't, you know, I had to clean it up myself.
But I don't care.
Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
The record is tough. Did she get the spins? Is
it in media base?
Speaker 1 (01:32:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:32:44):
Call Natina and make sure. And call Lake. I need
to make sure. I want her. She need to get
her spins.
Speaker 10 (01:32:48):
Yeah, D.I.S.
Speaker 1 (01:32:48):
But we're going to play it anyway. They're going to
call regardless because we didn't get approval. Watch this.
Speaker 4 (01:32:52):
Watch this.
Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
Oh, Carisha about to call you immediately and be like,
why the F y'all playing my record and how you
got my record?
Speaker 19 (01:32:57):
She is not.
Speaker 4 (01:32:57):
All right. I'm going to blame it on Laura.
Speaker 1 (01:33:01):
All right, there you go. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy,
Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club.
We have to salute to Bill DeVaris. He's from LifeLock.
He stopped through earlier today.
Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
And I'm going to tell you something, man.
Speaker 12 (01:33:15):
I've been wanting to talk to somebody from LifeLock because
I'm like, yo, people are out here just stealing folks'
digital identity that easily.
Speaker 2 (01:33:21):
We need to be doing more than just commercials.
Speaker 12 (01:33:23):
Okay i need to know what the hell is going
on that's right and now after the conversation with him
i feel like we need to have insurance it's.
Speaker 2 (01:33:31):
Like you got to have like digital i guess what
you call.
Speaker 12 (01:33:33):
Digital identity insurance yeah same way you got car insurance
same way you got health insurance just in case.
Speaker 4 (01:33:38):
It's crazy another thing to pay for but.
Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
Ten dollars a month it's worth it Oh, that's not bad.
Speaker 1 (01:33:43):
Now, this weekend, where are you going to be, Jess?
Speaker 8 (01:33:46):
I'm going to be in Tacoma, Washington, y'all. So make
sure y'all get y'all tickets. That's close to Seattle, close
to Bellevue. Get your tickets now at JessElaria'sOfficial.com. I'll be
at the Super Funny Comedy Club, me and my brother
Desi Alexander. And we'll be picking a local comedian from
Tacoma to come and open up for me, man. You
only get like a five to ten minute slot at
the head of each first show.
Speaker 4 (01:34:06):
So the first show for.
Speaker 8 (01:34:07):
7 o'clock. I'm looking for a local comedian. And then Saturday,
the first show, the 7 o'clock show, looking for a
local comedian.
Speaker 4 (01:34:16):
Love you, Tacoma.
Speaker 8 (01:34:17):
Can't wait to get there. Tickets available at JustHilariousOfficial.com.
Speaker 1 (01:34:22):
All right. Sheldon, man, you got a positive note?
Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
I do.
Speaker 12 (01:34:24):
I want to remind people the six annual Mental Wealth
Expo is happening on World Mental Health Day. So go
to MentalWealthExpo.com and RSVP to be there.
Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
It is a free event, open and free to all ages.
Speaker 21 (01:34:36):
Dr.
Speaker 2 (01:34:37):
Rita Walker is going to be there. Elliot Connie is
going to be there.
Speaker 3 (01:34:40):
Dr.
Speaker 12 (01:34:40):
Jay Barnett is going to be there. Of course, my
good sister, Debbie Brown, is curating everything. Ayanla Vonzana is
going to be there. Michelle Williams is going to be there.
And a whole host of others. So go to mentalwealthexpo.com,
RSVP to be there. And we'll see you on World
Mental Health Day. Now, the positive note is this. Anyone
can be grateful when things go right. The real growth
(01:35:01):
is being grateful for what did not, okay? Because that
is what actually built you. The setbacks, the closed doors,
the timing that felt unfair at the time, all of
it shaped who you are now. Gratitude that only shows
up for the good stuff is not gratitude, it's convenience.
Speaker 2 (01:35:16):
Have a great day.
Speaker 1 (01:35:17):
Breakfast club, bitches!
Speaker 2 (01:35:18):
We all finished or y'all done? Woke up, woke up,
wake you up.
Speaker 1 (01:35:22):
Wake that ass up. Program your alarm to power 105.1
on iHeartRadio.
