Speaker 1 (00:01):
Every day up the Breakfast Club. You don't finish for
y'all done morning.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Everybody is DJ en Vy, just Hilarius, Charlamagne to God.
We are the Breakfast Club Law and the roasters here
as well. We got a special guest.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
In the building, but we got we have Erica Campbell. Welcome,
thank you, thank you, you feeling. I'm good.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Thou shalt not commit adult treat on lifetime?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Oh good.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
You were in the church playing with these people's heart
and cheating in the background.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Okay, maybe trying. I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I'm ready for you that you're trying to figure out
yet you know what it is?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
It is.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
It's it's my character had a need and she was
just meeting it in an illegitimate way.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
I think sin causes us to meet a legitimate need illegitimately.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
She needed attention from her husband, and you know, the
business was working, the brand was working, but the connection,
the care, the tenderness was not there.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
So so so so break down for people that haven't
seen it as yet.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
So so, Cassie is this faith influence Her name is Cassie.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I just just all connected.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
But Cassie Davies is this faith influencer.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
And she's you know, moving up the you know, her
status is growing, and she has Jasmine Guy who plays
her mentor, and it's just kind of helping her get there.
But in the meantime, she just really wants some more
attention from her husband, and her.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Husband literally treats her like a product.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
So you know, he hires security to keep her safe
because there's threats coming. Because it is a thriller. You
don't know who's trying to kill her the whole movie.
And yeah, they just get they get too close and
go too far and she tries to cover it up.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
That is crazy and all of that because who else
hired somebody to work with Cassie And then the right.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
This is a faith based film. This has nothing to do.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
With the free costs to say that it's connection to me.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
But I think people should understand the church is not
this abstract who you think go to the church? Regular
people in the world with the same need, same desires.
It's just a matter of am I trying my best
to let God leave my life. That's a day to
day process, and I think God wakes us up every morning,
and every morning we get an opportunity to do the
right thing or the wrong thing, and you will live
or die by your choices and consequences.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Life is not random.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
The life you live is closely related to you know,
your choices and the people around you. And so when
you look at it that way, you can be responsible
and make the changes that you need, or just blame everybody.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I wouldn't be this, I wouldn't it did as if you.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Know now and the church folk get a hold of this,
what do you anticipate the biggest response to be from
the church. The church and the religious people are two
different groups. The church people will get it, they'll understand,
they'll know. The religious people will you know, you shouldn't
be doing that, And oh my god, you still get
that now you can't be an actress? Yes, I still

(03:02):
get it. It comes with the territory. So I'm blessed,
and I know I'm blessed. But when you're blessed, you're
at a different level. So there are more eyes on me.
So the eyes that validate and celebrate are sometimes equal
to the eyes that condemn and judge because they don't understand.
And so that's fine. I'm not supposed to think like
you. You're trying to think like me because God has blessed me,
you know.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
But I do understand some of that, right, which you
mean not the actress part, not being an actress, not
doing your job. But I do and just knows because
she lasts every time you talk about it. I do
dislike when somebody from the church preaches something and lives
a total opposite way, because I do think that people
who are from the church into the Bible, into God

(03:44):
more than the average person, because for me, I feel
like they should know better. So when they preach a
certain way and then do something totally opposite, that.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Always can they lead me if they're out here living,
you know?

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Aside? You know a lot of a lot of these
preachers are. They don't have the same they're still here.
Like who said, once you serve God, everything is perfect.
You make all good choices. Serving God means every time
I fall, I say, help me get back up and
not do this again. Serving God is I know you
blessed me. Help me to honor those blessings with how

(04:18):
I live. But if I don't, that's why Jesus went
to the cross, because there's no way for.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Any of us to be perfect.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
That is the trick I think the enemy uses to
keep people away from faith and away from God because
I don't got myself together. If I could do it
by myself, I would do it by myself, but I can't.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I suck without Jesus.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I'm not here because, oh I figured it out and
got some answers. I'm here because you know better than me.
You created me. You know the beginning from the end.
And so if I trust you, even if I walk
in the wrong door, You're gonna be with me every
other step of the way. Even if I fall, You're
gonna pick me back up. People won't and that's okay.
But if you serve God, it don't matter if this
man or this woman mess up. I'm not ever leaving Jesus,

(04:57):
you know. And so people like to, you know, give
the you know, I'll serve God, but I don't do
church people. How a basketball player gonna be a basketball player,
but he's never around basketball players, you know what I'm saying.
How a rapper gonna be a rapper, But I hang
with all doctors or you know, scientists. And God would
use anybody to lead like anybody use a bum on
the street. He will he will salute all the bums
home like, I'm sorry, he will homeless.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Right, we gotta be careful. I know little he'll even
use one of these.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Listen, David wasn't perfect, Moses wasn't perfect, Abraham wasn't perfect.
Who in the Bible was perfect? Where do we get
that from? He is perfecting us. And in order to
perfect something, you gotta stretch it. It's got to be
in uncomfortable situations in order for me to grow. How
do I know I can conquer something if I never
face it. If I'm afraid to go in a room,
I don't know who I can be in that room? Right,

(05:51):
So I take God with me in that room to
help me process and become and be a light.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
We're always supposed to be a light. And who said that?
He always feels good for people? You know? I think
the preacher who has messed up most preachers a different
message than the man that never fail. And we want.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
People to never fail. But then why would we need
Jesus if we were never gonna fail? Right, It's always
come back to him, And as I aspire to be
more like him, I choose him more than that.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
It's not that I don't see it. I just choose
God more.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
You know what I'm saying, Whether it's my flesh, my desire,
want money, want to whatever, God, I choose you more
than I choose that. And that's what keeps goding me,
not what people are gonna think of what people are
going to say.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
God, are you pleased with what I did today?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
With how I operated, with how I was moving you know,
through life? And when that is your guide, you can
make a better choice. But if you take your eyes
off Jesus, if you take your eyes off the main
thing people and they can't tell me what to do.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
You know, everybody loves it. They can't tell me what
to do. Okay, good luck with that. Were you hesitated
all to take this part? Absolutely? Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Why and why were you hesitant? And also what made
you decide.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
To do it?

Speaker 1 (06:59):
A number of reasons. One, you know, I'm a Jesus girl.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
So playing this role gives a different look. But I've
seen this a million times in life, friends, I didn't
had a million conversations with girl.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I'm at this dude, Oh my god, you.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Know, I've seen it a million times, and I understand
how easy it is to fall, And so I wanted
to portray how sometimes the enemy will start in January
to destroy you by December with a small were just
friends with a small He noticed me with a small
And you see it in the film. You see the glances.
You see the shaking my hand and your thumb is

(07:34):
thumb is rubbing my hand a little bit too much.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
You see it happen. It's everyday life.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
And so to see it as a woman of faith
and be able to, you know, help people see that
you could recover. You don't have to stay there. It
is your choice. I couldn't help. It ain't really a
legitimate excuse. You do what you want to do, what
your flesh tells you. You need to do what your
mind tells you you have to have and so when
you become stronger in your core, it allows you to

(08:00):
make better choices. And I think people will see that
in the film. I think people will talk more. I
think people will be honest. I think some people will
see themselves no matter which character you are, I think
people will be like, let me just going to cut
this thing off because this is headed in the wrong
direction fast.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Did you always have the desire to act? I did
my whole life.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yeah, my whole life I wanted to, and I thought this, Oh,
don't you get emotional. I thought the opportunity had passed,
you know. I was like, well, maybe it's.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Not for me. You know, once you hit fifty, you'd
be like, okay, you know you look I mean damn, No,
you just said damn. I said anyway. Wow.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
I thought the opportunity was over. And what I realized
is God remembers every dream I had. I will never
forget about you.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
He don't forget about it. It's timing. It's when you're
ready for it.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Me as a mature woman, being in this space is
different than twenty or thirty year old Erica. And so, yeah,
when it happened, because they asked me like three different times,
I was like, my schedule won't allow for it.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I can't do it.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
They came back again, Okay, we'll change the filming schedule
for you. I was like, okay, something else. I was like,
it's gonna be too much.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
I can't do it.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
The third time, I was like, oh, okay, you want
me to start in a film.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Yeah, because you were doubting yourself. Some of it was doubt.
I'm not well, you said, it was hesitation.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
You know what I'm saying. You don't have to kiss somebody.
You want somebody got to touch somebody. And so I
talked to my husband about it. He was all the
way on board. He was like, I know you've always
wanted to do this.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Don't be whack. I love, like, don't be whacked, you
know what I mean. And so, yeah, the opportunity came
and I'm like, wow, God.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
We did the premiere the other night and I just
walked and seen my face on a flyer and it was.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Just like, what's that feelings? Oh, it's so crazy. I'm
so grateful.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
I'm just still floating it that the opportunity came and
I was able to to do it. Yeah, because you
thought that time, you know your Yeah. I was like,
it's at the movie mirror, thou shall not come in
adult treat You're the leading star.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
You see it. You're there. Your husband is like supporting. Yes,
he scored the field. He scored the film. So he
had to watch all the scenes. Oh no again.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
And when I was filming, like on the days when
it would be you know, a little touchy touchy, I
was be like, babe, you good.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
He was like, I'm fine. I know you my wife
and you coming back home to me.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
I was like, that's yeah, so you know, it was great.
And we just celebrated twenty five.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Years.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I saw the article on people Listen as you should.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yeah, twenty five years is a big deal.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Quarter of a century to be in love with this man,
to do life with this man. Music in the world
that we've been able to do with with you know,
sometimes our music is changing the world and touching people's lives,
and we like this, you know what I'm saying. But
we stayed and we stuck it out and realized that
we're on the same team, you know, And so I know, yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
I want it.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
I wanted the world. I wanted I want it people
to see it. I'm not afraid of them saying it.
I know some people are like, oh, if people see it,
they gonna mess up. It's already messed up. If somebody's
eyes on you change the way you feel.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yeabout Joe And we just me and my wife just
celebrated twenty five Congratulations.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
With somebody like, how does that like you talked about?
You realize y'all on the same team. That's a lot
of work.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
A lot of y'all just a lot of love years.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Yes, it's a lot of wonderfulness, a lot of laughs
or a lot of fun, legacy, a lot of things
we conquered, a lot of safety, you know.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, all of that. That's my person, that's my you know.
And you still just light up years.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Later and she is glowing with Yeah, everything you said
that we get, y'all remarrying, recommitting, re, dedicating ourselves to
each other, just saying it out loud in front of
the world that we made it twenty five years and
we have. I kind of filmed it very documentary style,
but what we partnered with was my first wedding was

(12:01):
on the Wedding Story, so we were able to mirror how
Skinny I was on first one and then where we
are now and the words that we said to each
other and the things that we wanted and we're here
and it is a blessing and we don't see that,
you know.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
We see the bad, We see the ugly.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
We see people speculate and skepticism and not believing in love.
But I believe that love is powerful. Actually had a
song called do you Believe in Love? And the power
that it gives?

Speaker 1 (12:24):
It really does.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Make you feel like a superhero when I walk out
in the world knowing that I am loved, without question,
without accomplishment. If I was just Airica singing at church,
I would still be loved, and I just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
That just fuels me. Yeah, yeah, I want to share
it with as many people as I can.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Now six hundred guests at the renew Yeah. People exclusive
you shot as a documentary, but you were also documenting online,
like you were trying to find your dress at one
point or whatever. And I saw you posted one of
the videos talking about the twenty five years in a celebration.
It was at the same time that your sister Tina
announced her or TMC announced the divorce between her and
her husband, and people were like, well the time it

(13:00):
was off, like they tried to rain on the parade
of bit How was it going through that internally?

Speaker 1 (13:05):
I wouldn't think about them people. I know, that's right.
I wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
I can't explain it to you if you choose to
see somebody celebrate in love and you'd say, hey, love,
be quiet, right because this is happening. What No, And
she wasn't like that, And it was a surprise for
y'all not us. I mean, we didn't know the TMZ
was gonna get it, but yeah, because they had in
the story that TMZ did, the filing said that they
were separated since June twenty twenty four. So when I

(13:28):
read that, I'm like, well, I didn't get them dates,
that's all. It was always funny like when.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
You pull the documentary.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
So when there's there's an online system, when you pull
the documents and list everything, like where their money's going, like,
you get all the things right.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
That's why when they were separated, how many kids?

Speaker 3 (13:44):
But that's why some people try to file with like
initials or a lot of celebrities will try and file
like Friday, like after a certain time because they think
outlets aren't watching the online system. But yeah, but when
I saw that day though, I'm like, well, maybe they've
dealt with it, and she comes from TMZ. Actually, I
was like, well, maybe you guys have already kind of
got into a good place with it behind the scenes,

(14:04):
because there was no argument about splitting of homes or nothing.
It seemed very amblicable at that point, even though we've
seen her go through something. So it was that that
y'all were in a good place behind the scenes. No,
not you and your sister, but like the family about
the divorce and just her moving forward, Like she said,
news too.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
That's what it means news to us. So they probably
were already fine, but.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
That's what I'm saying. We all were in a good
place about it.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
When it hit for us, it was like, oh my god.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
And you know, people were so attached to their marriage
because of y'all show, So I think people were more like,
is she okay? Is she okay? And then boom, now
we're celebrating you at the same time, and we were
like kind of like, oh, where do we go? But
you know what's funny, nobody said why did he fouled?
Knowing that Eric and Warren is you know what I mean?
Everything was why would she know that comes with that
comes with the Like I said that I know who

(14:52):
I am and I know I know how the game
that the enemy tries to play with me. When it
was the great moment, a big moment, I keep my
head on the swivel right because he want to steal
my joy.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
My joy is my super.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Because as you pointed out, he filed it wasn't her that, yes,
but people didn't grab that point.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Though, Tina's fine with your sister.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
I was wondering, how is it is it easy to
be there for her right during that time because it's
like two different emotions, just like you're celebrating, but your.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Celebrated dresses with you, Yeah, Tina's I don't know what
kind of families and sisters people had, Like this is
an interesting.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I don't think it's okay. I don't I don't think
maybe you only need to book Tina because.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
He loved I don't think it's a thing of like
y'all rivalry. I think it's more so like people trying
to figure out, like, like emotionally, was she okay because
we have seen her fight for their marriage for so long.
But you know, I hear what you're saying that we
should book Tina. I got a sis the question when
we get in another marriage album? Now we on Tina
and Erica, do we have another Merrymurry album?

Speaker 1 (16:07):
We don't have any.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
I've been saying yeah years, yeah, you know, yes, yes,
we said yeah. We don't just started working at all,
or though Warren did say he wanted us to get
in studio. It's a song that we have that I
think is crazy and amazing and we're just gonna kind of,
you know, refresh it just because it's been sitting for

(16:29):
so long.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
But it said it's an amazing song. So yes, we
do plan on doing an album and touring and all
of that.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
We've been having conversations, but it's all you know, I'm
in the midst of all of this right now.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Do you plan to do more acting, more movies? I hope?

Speaker 3 (16:43):
So?

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Is it okay? Yeah? I hope so. I hope more
opportunities come and damn I'm open. Yeah, because they sent
us a screen and you you did really good. Thank
you there. That's why I was like, did she always
want to act?

Speaker 3 (16:55):
Because yeah, you know sometime sometimes when somebody did all
the Mama Mama plays.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
You know, I was into stage plays. I did a
few movies, a few things out there, small parts and
stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
So but yeah, like the best theatrics are they come
from the church and the gospel. People that can do gospel. Yes, Well,
when you listen to a gospel song, the right one,
think of how many emotions it takes you through when
you're in church and you're watching the past, that you
really are being led by or like you know, a word.
Think of how many emotions like you guys have a
gift of being able to make people feel and go
through things. So I see it like this, if God

(17:28):
is creator, everybody has a God hole in your soul
that only God and the power of his music, the
power of His word can feel. It's like when you
hear a song that touches you that's not random, that
is that is something in your cells and your body
wants to connect with the creator that created you. And
when it happens, it brings transformation, It brings change, It

(17:52):
brings enlightenment. It opens you up to see life in
the world through the eyes that I think God created
us to see it. But we see our pain, we
see our problems, we see the disappointment, and I think
God is always trying to get our attention so we
can rise higher. And I think that's what gospel music
helps us do. What the enemy does is how can
you say that to me you messed up?

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Exactly?

Speaker 3 (18:13):
I can tell you how God can fire you because
I'm messed up, you know. So I can talk about
the redemption, the grace, the love, the power, the strength,
the wisdom and who he is. But if I keep
you confused, you keep your eye on the wrong person,
and you never realize that that song was for you.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
This day, this moment.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
I wrote this song a million years ago for you
to hear it today, to help you through whatever you
were going through. You know what I'm saying. God is
always trying to use us, whether you're making somebody laugh
at the time that they were down, or whether you
guys are revealing a story that somebody needed to hear to.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Give them hope. We all have a God assignment, whether
you realize you working for him or not. You know
what I mean?

Speaker 2 (18:46):
What's the message you want to You want people to
get out of this this movie?

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Be honest, be open, and recognize that it's easy for
everybody to fall, right. What do you do after you fall?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
The thing I love about this movie the most is
the Redemption gets honest and vulnerable, and she doesn't try
to tell the truth in a secret way privately.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
She's out loud.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
I messed up and I shouldn't have and I repent
and I apologize. And when you learn to repent and apologize,
your sin can't hold you hostage, right, And I think
that's why people tell their story like, I don't want
to be in mental anguish because you know what I mean,
I dealt with it in quiet since I don't want
nobody to find out.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
So if they find out, so what get free?

Speaker 3 (19:28):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (19:28):
But pay attention to those small things. Pay attention.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
It's a scripture says it's the little foxes that destroy
the vines. Not always an axe, it's not always a fire,
something really small. There's a book that partners with this
called The Silent Leak, written by one of the producers,
doctor Holly Carter, and it's the small things, how the
air just seeps out of your relationship and you can
ignore it and not pay attention. And so I want
people to pay attention to the silent leaks, pay attention

(19:53):
to your relationship, you know, to the things that you
rationalize and make okay. And I want them to laugh
and smile and be in entertained a little bit and
be a little uncomfortable with seeing me in these positions
that they see me.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
You know, was there anything that ever in your life
that you had to get off your chest like that
to understand what you had to go through?

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Is there anything that was ever holding you back? Yeah,
asking why why did this happen? Why did that happen?

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Why? And you get held hostage to the why that
you ain't living because sometimes you find out why and
it still don't make sense, you know what I mean?
Like it's the deception of I need closure and when
they tell you why they did it, and it still
don't make you feel no better, And then I just
it's like, okay, now what now I'm still stuck.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
I have to make the decision to forgive or get
over it.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
You know, sometimes you're expecting people to heal a version
of you that doesn't exist anymore, and you literally are
a whole.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Different person, and you keep looking back at why but why?
But why?

Speaker 3 (20:49):
But why?

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Sometimes you won't know why do you think people?

Speaker 2 (20:52):
It's funny you saday do you think people need closure?

Speaker 1 (20:55):
I think that from the other person, it can help,
but it's not the whole picture. It won't give you
what you think it will.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
You have to come to grips with it and be
okay in your own soul, or you'll ask them why
every five seconds. It's like somebody that forgave they spouse.
But anytime anything comes up, are you did you is that?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
You know what I mean? It's like, who wants to
live like that? You know?

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Just accept that people are human, and you know, sometimes
it feels like hope for the best. But I believe
in declaring God's truth over my life, So I don't
hope for the best. I declare what God said. If
he said I'm healed, whole and complete, than I am.
If he said I'm free, then I am. If he
said he'll supply my needs according to his riches in glory,
then I don't have to worry about losing my money,
my status, or anything else, because if He gave it

(21:40):
to me, if I lose it, he gonna give it back.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Or if I don't, I'm still gonna be okay.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
If I'm following and seeking after him, trust in the
Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your
own understanding, but in all your ways. Acknowledge Him, and
he will direct your path. He'll direct my stops and
my starts, my yeses and my nose, He'll direct all
of it.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
So I'm just I'm not just her trust in God, real, quay.
I just want to see this. I actually lived in
l A for like two years, right, and I went
to your church. I remember you, and I never got to.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
I was a little bit.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
I was, but I had a son. And that's why
you had a blue suit on. Because that I was
like that she right, right.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
And I was like.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
At the same time, I'm looking at you know, and
Eric kind of like I grew up listening to these
women and I just cannot believe.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
But I never got to express y'all and to tell
y'all my four favorite songs, right, this is between two
albums Still My Child and I and then listen list
absolutely like because it's it's the harmony. Sometimes I can't even.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Tell y'all apart.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
But yesterday Wade in the Water because that's like black
Negro spirits, I was like, and oh my god, it
was one more but real.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Quick, what I wanted to ask you about, and I right,
was that a sample? Was that a same? Did y'all sample?
Like the melody that? And was that from Sierra or
to Sierra? Probably get that from y'all. I don't I
don't know the Sierra song. Okay, she probably got from y'all. No,
I don't know. Yeah, that's right, because that that was
two thousand and five. Yes, that y'all came out with that. Okay,
I get that third record, but I'm the record I think. Yeah, Yes,

(23:22):
I'm a real, marry married connoisseur. Oh thank you. That's
why I'm like, she coming here. I know she in
for the movie, but I want to see if we're
gonna get some more music. Oh yeah, you can everything.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Hearing y'all voices, y'all really really feel like y'all feel
what y'all talking about.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
And I love it. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
You know when you grow up with nothing, like for
real nothing, yeah, move fifteen times, welfare, twelve kids, little card,
mom and dad married and divorced each other three times,
you've been through something.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
And to know that even through all of.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
That, God can still keep us, God can still bless us.
That's all I want people to know that you really
can make it through your stuff. And so whether it
is in the morning you'll be all right or I
just can't give up now, you know what I'm saying saying,
but them girls, minister, Yes, but the feelings that sometimes
you don't realize that's what you're doing. And I think

(24:15):
for a lot of years me and Tina didn't realize
that's what we were doing literally helping people think you
just singing.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
You go, Oh my god, we ministers like I need this.
I seen it.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
I remember I was here. I was in Brooklyn going
to some store and this dude I thought he was
hitting on me. He was like, hey, yo, you from
that group.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
I was like, yeah, thinking you know, you know, and
he said, y'all, I know you're doing your solo thing.
He was like, but the streets need Mary Mary. Yes.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
He was like in a different kind of way. So
you know, just whenever you're all ready, we were ready
for y'all. Was such a beautiful compliment and so I
always right right me.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
He was like, yo, married married, they made no gospel jeans.
You got on, sister. I said, where you buy the
gospel jeans?

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Brother?

Speaker 1 (24:56):
He was like, my bad, you look nice, you know,
but y'all everybody you feel y'all.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
You know what I'm saying, Even him saying, yo, yo
life he receives that ministry as well.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Yeah, so we definitely need y'all.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
So after you get in the studio, one last question,
I know, what advice do you have for couples who
may be struggling with temptation or cheating? What advice would
you give those couples.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
You gotta you gotta have some real conversations. You gotta
be willing to be vulnerable. You know, sometimes we are
not fearless enough to say, hey, I need more of you.
I need I need more conversation. I need I know,
you know, for the dudes. I know you're paying the
rent and all of that, but I want to talk
to you. You know, I know you taking the kids.
And sometimes women can get real consumed with the life

(25:40):
of the house or the life of the marriage, and
you don't, you know, pay attention and just pay attention
to one another.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Do love? Check in how your heart feeling?

Speaker 3 (25:48):
We good?

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Do you feel this love? You know what I mean?
I literally asked my husband before we left, even though
we celebrated. I was like, we good, babe. He was like,
here you go. It was like, you're busy. I'm busy,
but we in here, we locked in. I would tell
them to just check on one another. Check on your heart.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
You know, am I your safe place? Is it okay
for you to fall apart here? You know you don't
have to put on and pretend for me. If it's
not working for you, say it's not working for you.
Just be honest and bring God in the.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Middle of it.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Pray together, pray in the morning. What's your prayer for
your family? What's your prayer over your family legacy? What
are you declaring? And by that, I mean what are
you speaking over your marriage? You know, I think all
those things are important, And even even if it has
been rocket, you don't have to stay that way. It's
always going to be a season where, you know, we
may I don't want talk to you that much. What

(26:39):
I say, I ain't going nowhere, but leave me alone
real quick. You know you're gonna have that. That doesn't
mean walk away. Who were who you are when you
first get married is not who you are at year
ten or twenty five. So you have to embrace the
different seasons of who you become. You changed, you should
after fifteen twenty years, you know. Yeah, just take some time.

(27:01):
You can't ensure five to ten years of a good
marriage and you just started dating. I think a lot
of people so desperately want to avoid any pain or
any issue till they never get the beauty of experiencing
all that love can be. I'm fine you are like that.
I'm fine with going through this time around, because I'm grown.

(27:22):
I'm fine with going through all the real things and
make sure that this is where it needs to be
before we do the things we're going to do later on,
especially might having kids with somebody. I need to be
that need to be solid. So I'm good and we
good over here. Don't worry about nothing.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
We do our check in.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
May you good?

Speaker 1 (27:35):
You good?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (27:36):
We do all that were good over here. It would
speak to me. That's the last girl that speaks to me.
Come on, if you not know, y'all need to listen, right,
I'm sorry for real. Well, it's all good.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
That shall now commit Adultery comes out this Saturday on
Lifetime six, and we're just asking you close this.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Out with a prayer. Please appreciate you doing it absolutely. Lord.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
I thank you and I praise you for this day,
for your goodness, for your mercy, for your grace. Lord Jesus,
I thank you, Lord, for each and every person in
this room. You know where they are, you know what
they need, You know the questions that they ask, You
know the things that are on the inside that hurt them. Lord,
I ask that you bring peace, that you bring answers, God,
that you give them, the strength to stand, the strength
to fight, the strength to hold on to you, to not.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Be distracted and not be deceived.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
I thank you, Lord that your plans for us are
much better than anything we could plan for ourselves.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
So we seek you first.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
We trust you.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
I thank you God that you are the lover of
our souls, just as we are. Father.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
We don't have to clean ourselves up. You do a
much better job than we ever could. We don't have
to fight our own battles. God, you fight way better
than me. So we put every issue in your hand. Lord,
Bless them, Cover them, keep them in the center of
your will and the palm of your hand.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Cover them with your blood.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
Keep their minds safe, their money safe. They're family safe,
their children, their relationships, their parents. Lord, you are concerned
about everything concerning them. Now, Satan, I serve you. Notice
you've no place, power or authority. You will not steal
what God has for them. In the name of Jesus,
we send you back to the pit and every demon
you brought with you.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Lord, Cover them.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Lord, let your angels cover and protect them and keep
them safe. Even bless this show, Bless the work that
they do. Bless the guests that they have as they
come in this room, let them feel you in Jesus name,
I pray thank God, Amen.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Amen.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
When I get up here, you for over the seat
because it's somebody that sit here and I think he
is definitely.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Pray over again. Thank you so much for joining us.
