Speaker 1 (00:15):
We do.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
He recently won the winner of Kevin Hart's Funny as
Fuck competition on Netflix. Ladies and Gentlemen, comedian Ron Taylor welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Good brother, sweet ladies. How are you you know? Well,
I've seen the silk.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Also a lot you know he Dominican.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Well, I've heard.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
And now he see right, Let's start from the beginning. Well,
first of all, congratulations away. Now you're from Detroit.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
That just correct?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
What up?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Okay? What upright? Knew right?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Now? What got you into comedy? Let's start with your
your love of comedy?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
How that started? Man? Long story short, I was funny
in school. Everybody say that, you know, but I mean,
what else did that? You know? They say, ain't nothing
else to do but be in school. I was funny
in school and then uh, actually I had a second
hour start. I don't know if y'all had that. So
everybody went to school at eight. I went to school
at nine because my because my first hour was lunch.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Why was your first hour lunch?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I don't know. I guess it's some Detroit stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Hold on, wait, yeah, for so you walk into school,
there's lunch, my breakfast.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Correct, there's lunch prepared. Correct. Well, no, that was just
the period I had. They had breakfast food. But his
first period was that person.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
First time was Jim he had.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
His first period was lunch.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
No offense. But was it like, were you like special
need kids?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
What he just said were you were a special needs
class lunch?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
That's crazy?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Heard that before, so I didn't know if it was
like a special program.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
You skipped all of Detroit just being weird and went
to me being in the special class.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah, because that's not really weird. It's it's special things
for special needs kids.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
And we thought, like I was in advanced policement classes.
I was special program.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I left it open for you to tell me special
lunch was advanced.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Crazy. I had merit and honors class. But that's neither
here nor there. Okay, The point is I didn't have to,
but I had little brothers, so I would take them
to school. I didn't have to go in till like
nine o'clock, so I would sit in the car, eat
donuts and drink coffee and listen to Ricky smiling and
the kid when you say it like that, Yeah, year.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Old, listen to Ricky smiling.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Okay, listened to Ricky smiling in the morning and Steve Harvey. Right.
So by the time I went to my second hour,
which was physics, right, I'd just be in there joking
around and stuff. I was on the swim team, and
you know, they'd be like, hey, say that thing you
said again. And then eventually I heard Dave Chappelle say
something that made sense where he said, being funny is

(03:05):
a marketable skill, So let me go ahead and market
this skill. That's how it get started. How was your.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Family when you said, you know, you were special classes.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Wait a minute, I'm gonna need you advanced classes.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
You were in advanced classes, right, And what did your
parents say when you said, after these advanced classes, I
want to be a comic.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Mom, but you know what, my mother is not gonna
like this, but hey, you know it is what it is.
My mother was not a fan, not at all all.
She was big time not a fan. Uh. My mama
kicked me out the house. Okay, she took my car
somehow she took the money out of my account right

(03:51):
and kicked me out the house. I think I said
that already. Now let her tell it it was for
some other stuff, and I'm sure it was. But all
this stuff happened around the same time, and the reality
is just I wasn't doing what they thought I was
going to do. You know, they didn't necessarily I say
they my mother and father, They didn't necessarily have a
plan for me, right, and said, what's y'all plan? We

(04:13):
will know? Okay, Well, then don't worry about what I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Right.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I went to college for theatre arts because again I
heard Dave Chappelle say something about theatre arts, but just
that deviation from what they thought. You know, they weren't
big fans of it, but it didn't take long before
they got on board, you know.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
And that ma, did you go back to the house,
were you able to get back in the house? And
did they give you your money back?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I think my mother did give me my money back.
I never got the car back, and I think I
started living with women after that.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I thought they said you were living in your cause.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Kevin Heart when he was up here, said that it
was something like that, like you were homeless and trying
to figure it out.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
That So that was afterwards, So all of the Detroit
stuff in the school, that was when I started, right,
So it's like twenty ten, come twenty and sixteen. I
bought a van and then I drove to LA and
I lived in it until like twenty twenty three or
something like.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
So you lived in the vent.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, what do you shower?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
I was asking you in event It's like, you can't
be going up to stinking Oh I did not, especially
men on the road.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
La Fitness was my goal to the one on Hollywood
by that CBS. Okay, that's my goal to Planet fitness sometimes.
But I'm not a monster this Planet fitnesses. Planet Fitnesses. Yeah,
that's not where.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
It about a bunch of white guys walking around with
small pps.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Just you see how it goes back to I'm.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Just asking yes, sorry, it's cheap and it's twenty four hours,
so you get worse or the worst.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, it's like a truck stop kind of yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yeah, And if I had to would you'd be surprised
how like well this works. I would have I'd buy
wet wipes in bulk and I just do the Denzel
from what was that movie book at Eli and.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Just oh wow, okay, little bird Bath.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
So now because everything is like, yeah, are you kind
of used to it?

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Are you still getting used to the fact that, like.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well before you get there? What was the big break?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Wait?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
I'm sorry how they find you for Funny AF?

Speaker 2 (06:34):
I think I just auditioned to tell you the too,
or sent it in a tape. My reps might have
sent me something and I just but I had been
around for a while and said that rep.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
So what got you signed? Like, what were you doing
that was big enough for you to even get signed
before Funny?

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Just being in the clubs every night, being in the
clubs talking stuff, Yeah, being in the comedy clubs and
just you know, just trying to do something Like when
I was in my van, I did like a show
in my van where I would cook a meal and
like podcast interviewer person. So people enjoyed that.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Big was very innovative, Like you made you know, you
had a little bit to work with, but you made
it work it out of something.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Just he had a kitchen in the vator?

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yes, is it like one of the like vintage like seventy.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Kind of like RV No. No, no, it was a
Eve one fifty. That's an econno line that is yet
two thousand and two. So I gutted it and I
did what they call a no whole conversion. That's where
you don't drill no holes, you just start hanging stuff up, right.
So I just put a bed in there and a cooler.
I had a little bunching crack burner. You know.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Oh no, that's right.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yeah, it made it work. They don't know what it advanced.
People be stealing kids, and you know it is in
the vans. Was wonderful. People enjoyed it. You you go
out and you had a company in the vent. Brother,
let me tell you listen, it's people out here getting
busy outside. Hello, Okay, I got a bed and a

(08:03):
cooler full of wine. Who ain't trying to spend some
just hanging up.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
I was going to say, how did they find how
did they find you? For funnyf that was another question.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
They saw the van.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
I wish that my van got confiscated, But that's a
whole nother story. I'll get another one now. I think
I can. I probably afford it. No, yeah, yeah, anyway,
I put I put in like, like I said, an application,
and then I did the first round in Chicago, then
the second round was in l A. And then it
just continued forward. But it was kind of like an

(08:40):
open casting call to everybody. So I don't know, maybe
my reps pulled some strings that I'm unaware of. But
you know, I just did the application and had kind
of been around already, like I said, yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Just maybe you just stood out because I noticed on
Funny the Judge the judges took a liking to you,
like straight off the rip. And then Kevin said when
he was up here, he like instantly liked you. It
was something about you that stood out to me, like
young Norman, hilarious.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I love the microphone bush yo, I told you that
on the Red Car. But at the roast, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Why you wann't hurt my feelings like that?

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Man look even more like norm Bits.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
But no, but listen, absolutely loved style and everything. But
you stand out and that's what I feel like you
got to do in comedy these days because the comedy
industry is very oversaturated.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I think you're very original.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Yeah, well, I mean I try to be. It's funny
that just wearing my hair the way it grows. Like
all black people's hair grow like this, most black people hair.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
You should ain't have yet to grow.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
But you know, like I'm glad that it stands out.
And you're absolutely right. Comedy is I don't want to
call it oversaturated, but it's definitely super saturated. Like but
that's that's the nature of the Internet, right, which I
think is actually a great thing. You get a bunch
more of all the different versions of comedy, but you
get like unlimited amounts of all the comedy. But it's

(10:14):
just you know, as a consumer, it's your job to
siphon through and find what's what, and it's our jobs,
as you know, comedy producers, to stand out exactly.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
And it's a lot of the same types of comedy.
That's what I mean. Like you stood out, you still
stand out, you know what I mean. So I really
like that, That's what I mean.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I don't mean like like I mean, like, I'll take
it wonderful.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Now, who was your favorite comedian coming up? Was it
Kevin Art? Was it Dave Chappelle? You kept saying Dave?
Like who was who was your inspiration?

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Okay, in no particular order, Okay, Bernie Mac I see it,
Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Patrise O'Neill, and then I'll throw
a throw Lewis c k in there. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
those were my favorite.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
I see that.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yeah, well, I mean like that, it's only so many
black comedians to even look at from that era. I've
had people tell me that, you know, I sound like Dave,
I sound like Chris. Matter of fact, David Pale said,
I look like Bernie Mack. I think that's just the
hair in the era.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Because when you said Bernie Mack court, I was like,
I believe that.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
I agree with that too.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, it's only so many of us, but those are
those were my guys.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
So what from your life has been like the biggest
thing that has changed since winning funny m h.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
It's a good question. Probably just buying flights early.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Oh that is such a love right.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yeah, I mean I know a lot of people do
that already.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
No, no, no, but I know what you what you mean?

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah, like man, that like trying to God, trying to
call my mother to ask for money to borrow.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Jeez, Louise, it's just whens the last time you called
your mam master?

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Come on, I mean when was when was funny af
of a day? Funny if I won the fifth the
week before I was talking to my mama about the money. Yeah? Really? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Well she support up? Did she understanding at this point?
Was she's still on some you.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Know, she enjoys having me gravel, which really is kind
of why I stopped. You know, if I'd be like, hey, mom,
can I get twenty dollars? Now? You need twenty dollars?
How does it feel? So? Yeah, not having to do
that has been wonderful some people knowing me already, I
live life like a bum. I'll tell you the truth, right.

(12:48):
I enjoy being able to get on the bus, not
have my hair combed. But what's been happening now is
like people like, hey, are you the guy from so?
I guess I gotta, you know, look more presentable nowadays.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah. Yeah, it's not getting on the bus.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
You don't ever get on the bus.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
And it's like I'll be doing especially not in New York.
I do not be doing that, right, Okay, but if you.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Want to still, you can do the bus if you want,
you know, you can get a van Honda otse primium.
That's nice.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
That's a humble enough vehicle, you'd be good. Yeah, I know,
you get that one hour Netflix special. So are you
already getting your material together for that?

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah? Yeah, Well, you know, kind of the nature of
comedy is you're always writing, at least you should always
be writing. So you know, I've I've prepared, I've collected
jokes over the years. I've been doing this for sixteen years,
so you know, I've got a bunch of material. But
once you're doing a special, you want it to be special.
So whether I go from developing things that are already

(13:49):
got or just coming up with new jokes, I'll take
the time to like make sure that this special is
as good as I can make it. You know.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
So and you try and you had you rehearse all
of your material only in la or do you travel
and do it like.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
No, I'm all over the place.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Okay, now, I.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Know you are all over the place, but preparing for
your special because some people don't take their special the
jokes that they're gonna do.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
I'm on their special everywhere, right right right, It's just
like certain places.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Yeah, no, I'm not at that level because the.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
People record and all of that stuff you want to
save you don't want to burn your That is fair.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
You are right, And I have run into that. I
ran into that at the Netflix is a Joke Festival
and I'm up there just talking about god knows what,
and people get their cameras up and say, hey, lady,
put the camera down. She's smiling keeping it up. Put
the camera down for real. But I never had that
issue before, So I'm not gonna let that stop me

(14:48):
from like going out and like preparing the material. But yeah,
just wherever I can get up, that's where I'm going.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
It seems like comedy is and I said this just
all the time, it seems like they let the I
would say, the hand comes off a lot more recently,
right before, I seemed like comics were kind of nervous
to say certain things because I think society was so
quick to cancel. Did you notice that at all?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Yeah, man, I think it's just like fun to have
people be in trouble. You know, we just just as
a society is like if we can point and wag
the finger, we will so like so like the Kevin
Hart Rose that just took place, correct, I was there, right.
All of those people are either friends or associates of mine.
And none of these people are like going around, you know,

(15:35):
bothering black people. Right, this is just their job. But
the fact that we can say, oh he's a racist,
or this person is sexist or whatever, it's like this
as a society, we enjoyed doing that. What did you
think of George Floyd jokes? Well, to tell the truth,
I didn't know that it was what it was until afterwards.

(15:56):
I just heard something something George Floyd. It wasn't until
afterwards when I heard the looking up at us I
was like, oh god. But again, this is Tony Hinchcliff.
This is what he got paid to do. If he
didn't do that, that'd be an issue. Now, if you
don't want what Tony does, you don't hire him. But
you know, here we are, what two weeks after, three

(16:18):
weeks after, and we're still talking. I know Tony, he's
a great guy.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
You can't say that after the George Floyd joke, But
I will say this. You know, do you think that
people took that roast and look at more of what
Tony said opposed to what the whole reason of the
roast was.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yeah, But again, like I said that, that's what we do, right,
We we nitpick just as human beings, not the best
of us, the worst, but just as human beings, we go, oh,
this is something I don't like. Like people call into
the radio to complain about something. You don't call in
and say, hey, I love that song. It's not what
people do. People call in to complain. So the people

(16:58):
that are the most vocal are the people who did
not like, there's probably more that enjoyed it. They're just like,
onto the next thing. But you know the jokes, there's
people out here really doing this stuff. Nobody got mad
or did anybody think about what's the name Derek Chauvin,
how's he doing well?

Speaker 4 (17:19):
They actually, yeah, there was a they just held a
moment of silence.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Of silence Republicans. I thought he was when they said
moment of silence.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
But George his family actually said a wrep for the
Gianna of Floyd and George Wlait organization said that they
felt like the roast actually led to that moment because
it made people feel like it was cool to do
to support racist racist or racism.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Is he dead? No, they held the moment of silence.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Oh in jail, well, monkey flip them, you know whatever,
it'd be all right, monkey flip Jesus correct.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Is there anything that you stay away from with your comedy?

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Do you?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
It's like, you know what, I'm not gonna do politics,
so I'm not going to do this. Is there something
that you avoid?

Speaker 2 (18:01):
There's things that I don't do right now for whatever reason.
I don't avoid anything, but like politics. You know, I'm
not extremely versed in politics, you know, so I don't
do that. It's it'd be difficult for me to talk
about a family because I ain't got one, right, you know,
I came from one, but I don't have Yeah, I

(18:23):
ain't got no woman, i ain't got no kids, So
it's difficult to talk about that. Relationships. I ain't really
had too many of them. Said you got girl?

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Girl was laughing right out there, drawing, So he was
living with them girls, and y'all want to even a relationship.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
These are situation chips.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
What's your sign?

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I'm Alie b.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
He was looking for shelter.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
Laurence like what you were saying and what you like.
You know, you can't help to pay the bills. I
just care for you so much to just come in
here and you're not even in a relationship.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Come in here and make me laugh. Listen and sit
down there we eat.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
I was I was throwing beef, talking about rowls draws.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
They play like your name? Did you walk around with
little shrimps?

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Listen?

Speaker 3 (19:10):
He ain't got that.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
I was.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Little beef around.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
I was in my twenties. I said, I had all
the energy in the world. I was breaking stuff, you know,
but we got it together at the right time. In
my thirties, you know, the energy start to decline.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
He played too much. Are any of those women nights
the sill of your life today?

Speaker 2 (19:37):
All of them? Yeah? Especially now? Yeah? They hit me up?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
How you do?

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Shut up whatever they're trying to get back in my life.
I love him too, I don't care. I love him
some more beef.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Yeah, how was the tonight show?

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Tonight show was great? You know this entire like, what
did you call it? Run? I guess ascension has been wonderful.
It's like, there are different things that I thought I'd
be doing. I just didn't know I would feel how
I feel right now. When I was doing them, I
envisioned myself being on the breakfast club, right but in

(20:15):
my mind, I don't know. I was taller, I had
a six pack you know, I was cussing people out,
trying to defend god knows what.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
You know, you think, like a controversial mom.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah, I mean, but that's just in the shower. What
you're thinking, like I tell you something, Charlotte Mayne, you know,
all that stuff exactly, but more than that, like I'm
just here and it's talking about the little shows I've
done and what it's turned into. So when I was
at the tonight show, it's like I didn't know that
i'd feel that, I want to say, nervous, but like

(20:48):
all of this stuff is such a production. You see
it on TV and it's like backdrop blah blah blah,
but there's like people, there's people's jobs to like hold
your hand and stuff like that. I kind of felt
a certain way when I did it, but I watched
it yesterday it came out great.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Yeah, so oh yeah, I guess I am a profession
right overthinking, Yeah, you know, you're a star. Are you
shocked with your success?

Speaker 2 (21:08):
It sounds like it shocked. No, not shocked, it's more
so like, oh.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Okay, I mean I'm here.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
I guess I guess it's here.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Is it hard for you to accept that you're here.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
No no, no, no, no no no. I mean because
obviously anything can go any way at any time.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Yeah, you just needed twenty dollars last week from you.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Yeah, what's more interesting to me is keeping it and like,
you know, doubling up on it.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Right, so anybody can I want a contest, you know. Now,
I had somebody tell me like, hey, don't let anybody
let you feel like you're a contest winner. All of
the work you did up until this point allowed you
to succeed in that contest. Well that was Dave Chappelle.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Now I feel that. But all so, I want to
contest period. So it's like I gotta keep going, you know,
like I'm here now, Like I don't want to be
on lad TV explaining some controversy after this. I want
to keep going.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
The week after week after week.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
What's the conversation with Kevin Hard Like if you have conversations.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Uh, Kevin is He's just a just a magnanimous guy,
you know. Like people were asking me like how short
is he? And I'm not, as the kids say, gleazing
right now, but like he you don't feel that he's
that short, right, because yes, he's wearing you know, just jewelry,

(22:40):
and he's just saying all this important stuff and he's
swinging around like I want to change your life like this,
and then he does. So he's just a great guy
and you can tell he's like he's just a smart dude,
just a smart dude. So the conversation we had was like, hey,
you're on right now. I'm gonna make sure I have
a that's the interest in you. You failing is not

(23:03):
good for me. All of you all doing good looks
good on me. So I'm gonna make certain that you're good.
And then here I am.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
So yeah, he said, he's swinging around.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
I'm sorry about that.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Now, if there was one thing you said, you know,
you dreamed of taking a shower and cursing L Charlamagne,
what would you curse him out about? Is this something
that he did to you to pick you up because
we can, we can jump him right now.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
No, no, no, no, there was nothing in particular, like
I said, you know, I just I just thought. I
didn't really think. But I don't even know what to
call it. But like when you just envision yourself places
like I'm explaining something I don't know why I just
put myself in trouble, right. But you know, I've been
a fan of the show forever. The only thing I
ever you know, which this is old news, but I ain't.

(23:53):
I ain't like what he did the little Mama.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
That was sometimes I cry for her.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Yeah, yeah, you know, him and Little Mama's going back
and forth with each other. That that's how it started.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
But it just it looked like a jumping. It looked
like looked like Charlott Mayne had full arms, like that
was the way he gat at her.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Was just like, oh god, Mama's dad was gonna shoot
me over that one. Yeah, I tell that another day.
I was on the street one day and you know
he was he was working construction, and I was outside
of my car and all of a sudden I heard yo, y'all,
And all of a sudden, all this construction worker started
coming out and I'm like, I'm not paying it no
mind whatever. Maybe they know who they want a picture.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
I see him go in the car because his calls
parked in front of me, the cause water from me.
And then I seen him put a pistol in his pocket.
I'm like, oh boy, and he walked. He was like
He's like, I'm a little mama's dad. You know what
I'm saying. I'm not Charlet, I'm not Charlotte, but I'm
that's another story for another.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Envy's van and was like, listen, he was talking about
my daughter.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
He was, he was serious, he was, he was de serious.
That's a hell of an intro. I'm a little mama's dad.
First of all, brother, what's your name? Right?

Speaker 3 (25:03):
But if he said his name is Charles, I wouldn't
be like, I'm like, all right, Chae. No, that was
the right intro.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
And the fact that he's work in construction, it's like, brother,
get back to work. So many factors involved in that.
But I'm glad you're okay.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Man. Has there been a date set for your special No?

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Not really. You know, we're looking at time frames, and
of course like the closer the better. What was more important,
especially to me, is making sure that it's done, making
sure it's as good as I can have it be,
because I don't want to turn in a subpar thing.
So if that's next year, spring, summer, fall, then you know,

(25:45):
so be it. But right now I'm just on the
road trying to make these jokes I've never had to
make jokes in a small window of time. I've had
sixteen years to make all the jokes in the world.
But now let's just say it was sometime next year. Okay,
now you gotta make I've never done that.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
So, yeah, what you got this?

Speaker 3 (26:06):

I was gonna name some of your dates, but you
