Speaker 1 (00:03):
It's your time to nominate a donkey of your own.
Remember now, that's it's how they choose. Call in now
eight hundred five eight five one oh five one.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Donk here today for Friday, May first, is the people's donkey.
You know, we give y'all the chance to call in
and give somebody the credit they deserve for being stupid.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
You can give somebody the biggest he hot soul. Good morning.
Who's this bull?
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Irene?
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Bone Irene? Who you want to get the biggest he
hart to bone Irene.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
I want to give the donkey to everybody who is
saying that Michael Jackson.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
Film was great.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Donkey donkey, all of them, all of them.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
I haven't seen it. I'm going this weekend.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
Though it is great, I loved it, it's not it's
not great.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
It's like y'all forgot who Michael was. Y'all, y'all was
here when Michael who was not great? Tell me what
you mean, nobody, what do you mean? Do you mean
we forgot who Michael was?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
I mean like the film just didn't do him justice.
It did not do him justice at all.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
I mean I heard Lord, Yeah, my bad.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Laura la Rossa when she was.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Saying that, you know, there was some trials and tribulation
that they couldn't do some stuff, which makes sense. That's
probably why the movie was whacked.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
They had to, you know, get.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Rid of a lot of stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
But I feel like it was a montage of like
a music video.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Someone reenacted his music videos.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
That's what it felt like.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Well, it was very superficial.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Well I'm gonna go this weekend. I haven't seen it yet.
I'm gonna go this weekend though. But I mean, you know,
everybody that I know that has seen the movie, they
thoroughly enjoyed it. But I mean, I think it is
hard to capture a larger than life character like that
on screen.
Speaker 5 (01:36):
It was I don't think it was a montage. I
think it showed his life to a certain aspect. It
showed to the nineteen eighty eight. It showed him as
a kid growing up house father used to beat him.
That had nothing to.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Do with videos.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
It also showed why he loved the animals and why
he moved the way that he moved, what he did,
the moment where he stood up to his dad. It
did show a lot of his performances and a lot
of his music. How he created to beat it. How
he created and got the ideas for some of the songs,
so I wouldn't saying as whack and track that's.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
At Isn't that how he invented the moonwalk?
Speaker 2 (02:02):
He stood up there his dad and then Joe really
got buckets and I'll beat your ass and then he moonwalked.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Is that that's not true?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yo?
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Now you serious? He was about to get beaten and
he just started sliding. Yo. That was somebody told me.
I don't know, I didn't see the movie. I'm going
this weekend. Michael was really a clown, yo. He played
too much doing my bad Dad. You know, Homa Simpson
was moonwalking to when he walked back into them bushes. Remember,
good morning? Who's this?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
This is Catherine?
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Hey, Catherine? Who want to get the biggest he?
Speaker 4 (02:33):
I want to give the biggest donkey to Charlamagne?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Oh lord, what I do?
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yesterday when the lady called about is upbound, he really
dogged her out and you know you asked her, you
know about her well, one of you guys asked her
about her height and her weight, and you always talk
about mental health and all of that, and this lady
could have been she could have gone through tuna when
she was younger. She could have been peased when she
(02:58):
was younger about her way. And she called to talk
about not getting the help that.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
She need it from her insurance company. Charlemagne, And you
really go in on people.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
I don't know if you.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Guys have people call in and you know, make crank
call so you guys can dog them out.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
But Charlemagne, come on.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
I don't think she had a problem with it. We
were going back.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
It wasn't even I think you had a problem with
it because she didn't want to get embarrassed on the phone.
But when she got off that phone call, you don't
know what she could have went through. Charlmagne.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
We talked.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
We talked to the people before you know, we we
we go live with them, man, and.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
And after me, before you were live.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Oh you might not have been worth talking to. And
I'm just playing. I just said that. I just said
that sagging people out, that's.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
All on you.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Yes, man, I do.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Actually, okay, Look, you talk about people saying acts or asks.
You write books and you say library I do, I
Greary hausn are in it.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Okay, you're correct.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Come on, girl, you got to like you haven't seen
you haven't seen the Michael movie. But the pastor just
came on this morning and talked about uh change and
uh and being forced to change. And so when you
go to see the Michael movie, I think you need
to get your little uh, get your little step stool,
(04:15):
and when you go to the bathroom in the morning,
get up on it and look in the mirror and
make that change.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Oh okay, it was stumbling. None of this looks.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Morning show. And I have gone all this time and
never call them because I love listening to just me
me uh Envy. I love it you not so much.
You're a semi celebrity. You know you you just go
all in on people. And it's difficult for me sometimes
to listen because of you tolerated but I don't like it.
(04:56):
I do have a choice not to listen, but I
still listen any ways and support because I love the show.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
You need to make that charlottne Well listen.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
None of this offends me because it's true. You said
I'm short, you said, you said what else you said?
You said about you say library library?
Speaker 3 (05:16):
I mean you will order one of your books just
to read it for the content to see if there's typos,
and not really for the content because I'm not really
interested in it, but I love to read it, you know.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
But this is my thing. None of its offended because
it's true.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Just like if somebody calls up here and tells us
that there are a weight loss medication and then we
ask them they height and weight and they tell us
that's true truth.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
I mean, why would you do that? Why aren't you
all in on Blue Cross Blue Shield. I work in
corrections and Blue Cross Blue Shield just made a huge
change that a lot of people's lives. So you ought
to be a little more careful and you know that.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
But the gist of the phone call yesterday was literally
about us dog and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
But your ears decided to focus on just the aspect
of the call.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
You didn't like it wasn't it wasn't for that you You,
you on the butt end of the phone call said, oh,
Blue Cross Shield, we were all in on. What's your height?
Speaker 4 (06:12):
What?
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Oh? And MV you said, oh there is a gym,
And yes there is a gym, but some people need help.
On the beginning part of that, the temper crazy, why.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
You at envy? You ain't got no, you don't got
no criticism for.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
Encase she love us, missus don here today said.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Criticism for you because you if it was just a
sprinkle here and they're like envy, you know that would
be I could tolerate that. But you are. You even
go in all in on your employees, so that might
be y'all's relationship and y'all's USh. But you, little man,
you got a problem.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
You're right, thank you. Nothing you said is wrong. Nothing
you said is wrong, and I'm not offended.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
I will say this though. Yes, I think a lot
of people do use ozempic and that z pound as
an alternative to actually go into the gym. I think
for a lot of people it is an easy way out.
A lot of people will not go to the gym,
and because that shot is available, they'll take that shot
even when they don't necessarily need to lose that much
of a weight. So I do feel like those shots
for a lot of people. Not everybody is a cop out,
(07:13):
and Charlemagne doesn't know what he's talking about. Yes, we
do screen the calls that today you got through without
us screening because our producer late and another one woke
up late. So that's the reason why. But yes, we
do screen the calls to speak to the people before.
You just got through because two producers weren't here.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
And I also would like to say that yesterday we
actually told the woman she wasn't fat when she told
us her heighten her WITHR I just want to throw
that out there.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Well, we actually told her she was not fat. She
was just trying to get snatched the whole time.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
That's right, all right, that was the people's donkey. We
do that every Friday. You can call in and give
somebody the credit they deserve for being stupid, even if
it's me. Okay, so five one on five remember that
for next Friday.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
And you gotta watch Charlmagne just because when the lady
says up about me, he goes, why you ain't going
in on envy.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Because she said she said that an envy gone say
that that girl need to go to the gym.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
So I'm just trying to figure out why you ain't
got no smoke fan feed because you're in the mental health,
she said, And jokes are a part of having healthy
mental health.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Sure, Okay, the people that call into this show the
same way that woman could give it to me, right,
I condition, I can take it. That's the beauty of
the breakfast club. That's the relationship we have with our listeners.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Okay, you can take it. That's right, all right. We
clown each other in the screen.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
You gotta see, you know, mean people walking with me
at the Black Festival with jokes me too.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
You see what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
I'm not Dominican, by the way. Everybody out there black,
if you were you here, you're Dominican. No, I'm not
dominic here, by the way.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yes, you think it hurts me to hear man, I
thought you were six feet tall. You saw six feet
tall on the radio.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I'm sure I don't care.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
All right.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
When we come back, Rizza will be joining us. He
has a new movie called A Spoon of Chocolate. We'll
talk to him about it when we come back. So
it don't go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
