Speaker 1 (00:01):
Man, it's time for Donkey of the day.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
There's a bunch of donkeys out here in the street
automate donkey to day.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Called donkey of the day. It really caught me off.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Guards we live a life where we might are tongue
based off who we may have fanned.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
He never was saying anything, you are a donkey. That
is why Charlamagne to some donkey today's just saw themselves
the breakfast club. Okay, Charlamage, who did give a donkey
of the day too.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
It's a day donkey today from Monday, July thirteenth has
no choice but to be the people's donkey.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Because I woke up at six thirty.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
He had got in a shower about six thirty four, uh,
and arrived to work at what time? Seven fifty No,
it was like seventy five something, Yeah, seven fifty five.
But when I was out at un Khan last night,
day three of the jay Z contract, I went to
all three nights, you know, everybody was saying, you gotta
give them donkey day, you got to give them donkey day.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I'm like, well, who is them? There's like the people
who bump rushed the door and NYPD. I'm like well,
what they got to do with it?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
So one hundred and five A five, one oh five one,
let's open up the phone lines.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Who's this Love? Turn your radio down?
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Love, I turned it off?
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay, no cursing, all right, don't curse Love.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Everybody. Everybody's watching more on Netflix. Who you want to
get a donkey today too?
Speaker 4 (01:12):
All right, dunkhead. And then he goes to Yankee Stadium staff,
and it also goes to all those people who rush
the doors because they don't hold reason why we had
to play this long?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Absolutely now, okay, go ahead, continue Love.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
And now I was going to say I went to
all three of the concerts. I didn't have any issues
at all on Friday and Saturday right through on Sunday.
I got there even earlier than I did, So I
got there like sick, something like six fifteen, and I said, ma'am,
what's going on? Something's going on? Why is he box
this long? So I finally get up to the mine
and the guy is like stopping people from going through
(01:46):
the metal detectives because the metal detectives are going off
on everybody. So I was like what, So he was like, oh,
you gotta wait. And the lady said, Yeah, something's going
on with the metal detectives. We can't use both of
them at the same time. I'm like, what all these people?
So he would wait and then it almost have to reset,
and then he's like, okay, you could go through. So
basically everybody that's coming through the line has to get
(02:07):
their bags and everything check. It has to get winded down. Now,
none of that stuff was really happening on Friday Saurday
because the metal detectives were working. So that was what
the hold that was for Yankee Stadium. I feel like
they dropped the ball. But then the people who thought
that they was going to brum rush and break through
the doors, Why would Jay want to come perform when
it's people out here and he know and went to
the medical detective. That don't make no sense. I know
(02:27):
I wouldn't. So I feel like Yankee Stadium deserves donkey
of to day and all the people. And you know
what's even crazy if we see y'all. We literally see
y'all on it's all over social media, them running through
the doors and they all had to go right back outside.
But I knew something was up because when we got
to ten o'clock I'm like, okay, first night he got
there nine thirty. Second night was nine eleven, ten o'clock.
(02:48):
I knew something was wrong.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Can we talk about that second night, the fact that
he took the stage and started that freestyle about the
World Trade Center dropping exactly at nine to eleven PM
a while. That was phenomenal. I mean, your attention to
detail was incredible.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Thank you love, Yes, yes, thank y'all, Thank you love.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
All right, good morning, it was this Kurt, Kurt, turned
your radio down.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Kurt, Kurt, Kurt, Hello, Kurt, Kurt, you about to miss
your time to shine.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
Kurt, turn your turn your radio down. And no cursing,
kurk no cursing you hear me?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Kurt, Kurt, you bum rushed the door last night. Why
would you do that?
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Come on, man, I'm all of the old people who
bum rushing doors like they teenagers. Man, it wasn't no
problems on Friday. Friday was the best show anyway.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
I'm glad it was Friday.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah, right, Friday was the best show. To me.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
It was yeah, so far in my.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Twelve I'm not late for work.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
The work me too. It was it was working, man.
Just walk in the office today. Singing can I live?
Walking to your job today? Singing can I live? OK?
Speaker 5 (04:00):
All right, we have a chef on a lot of chef,
turn your radio down, chef, no cursing and take us
off speaker chef or bluetooth place?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Clearly all right? I had found right now?
Speaker 6 (04:14):
Yeah, So look, I went to the I went to
the show on Saturday, and I definitely want to give
Donk his day to the security. Though. Security had that
thing looking crazy out there, three entry, three gates, one
metal a tech on this side, another metals a tech
on that side. You know, it was one of the
most unorganized things I've ever seen man Yankee Stadium, and
(04:34):
they really dropped the ball with that one.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
And the crazy thing is Yankee Stadium, right, So I
know they know how to handle baseball games, and they.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Would created for playoff games, That's what I'm saying. They
wouldn't just, you know, let that happened.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
At a baseball game, so why let that happen at
a contract And the other thing I will say about,
uh security, I don't know if that was the people
who rushed in, but you could clearly tell who.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Didn't have tickets. I was on the floor Sunday.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Then you know, I wasn't on the floor Friday and
Saturday I was up in the sweet but I was
on the floor Sunday. Then you could tell who didn't
have to because they did not want to go to
their seat.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
They just standing in.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
The opake loose to Ryan Davis, comedian Ryan Davids dropping
the blue box and Ryan Ryan was then behind me.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Ryan was calling for security like a white woman. What
you mean?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
He was like secure of that? Yeah, he was pointing
because I was like, I didn't pay for this security.
Clean wow security. I feel him again. But other than that, man,
the weekend went off without a hit hole man. And
I will say that guy brought up a good point. Saturday,
y'all are too old to be bum Russian doors. Yeah, okay,
(05:33):
you can't be forty five plus bum Rushian doors.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
I don't know if that was a forty five plus yrds.
I gotta I gotta beverify. I show you. I send
you the video. You got videos, I send you the video. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
But again, I had an amazing time. I went Friday
night and I've seen Saturday on the stream. But Friday
we said we had such a great time. I got
there early. The thing that I would say is different
is when I got to Yankee Stadium on Friday. And
I've been to Yankee Stitum a million one time to games,
playoff games, so many different concerts there. They had more
street closings around Yankee Stadium than anything else, so it
made it very difficult to even get to where I
(06:03):
needed to get to. But I would say they shouldn't
be used to that. But salutes everybody. I had a
great time. I love seeing nas, I love seeing jazz oh,
I love seeing Beyonce.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Feeling for Mary.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
I just loved everything from me, even from d Night's
opening up, who set the tone and the vibe.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
I had no plans to go all three nights. I
was gonna go Friday and now it's gonna be it.
But then when I had you know, I'm a Rock
Nation employee, so you know it.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Was get down and laid down.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
It's my direct supervisor, Deserraate Forres told me I had
to be there Saturday, and I went Saturday, which I'm
glad I did because I love the blueprint. And then
after that, I'm like, got to see how he sticks
to landing on Sunday. You gotta see it, and so
I went, and I'm happy I went.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
You need a promotion, now, yeah, you need a promotion.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Promotion he went to all three days.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
All three days, I filled out my internship for Rock Mission.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I haven't got accepted.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Be honest with you, After this weekend, I don't know
if I want to be an employee of Rock Mission
no more. Because they worked too goddamn hard. Okay, they
got to work too hard. I know it was a
very difficult time for them.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
This weekend.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
A dope show. Salute to everybody at rock Nation. All right, now,
when we come back, Rich Dennis will be joining us.
Of course, he's from Essence and you guys have been
killing Essence for years, and he's gonna talk about some
of the changes that they made to make sure this
festival came off amazing.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
So we'll talk to it. It's the Breakfast Club.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
