Speaker 1 (00:02):
I'm a homegrow that knows a little bit about everything
and everybody. You know, if you don't lie about that, right,
Lauren came, Hey, y'all, what's up It to Lauren de
Rosa And this is the latest with Lauren de Rosa.
This is your DELI dig on all things pop culture, entertainment, news,
and all of the conversations that shake the room. Baby.

(00:23):
If I'm checking in behind the scenes of the grind,
we are definitely on the roll with the conversations. I
told you guys, I would be bringing you more sit
down conversations. I'm finally back in New York from the
Finland at Sea Forward cruise that I did, and I'm
not I got rest last night.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I was like, and I didn't feel guilty about it.
I got rest last night.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I wasn't up all night preparing for the podcast or
you know, any other thing that I do. This morning,
I woke up a bit earlier though it was up
at three am. Normally, you know, I get a little
hour or two more. But yeah, like, I'm in a
very centered space and I want you guys to be
able to really experience the cruise with me, so you
know where that centric space is coming from. One of

(01:07):
the conversations that I had while on the cruise was
with Krystal Renee Haslett, you know from Zatima. She's also
done work with Tyler Perry Studios and still does I believe,
I mean outside of just the show, but she was
like styling behind the scenes at one point. But you
know her because she is also on Black Effects. She's
one of her podcast cousins. She has the podcast Keep

(01:28):
It Positive, Sweetie and Baby her podcast audience. I told
y'all in one of the last episodes, they are they
show up for her. So my Lowriders, we got to
take a lesson out there book when we are ready
to do our live sit downs. All of that is
coming live podcasts are coming. But I wanted you guys
to hear some of the conversations. So I put together
a few of my favorite clips from the conversation because

(01:51):
it was just so impactful and everybody needs a little
bit of this.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Let's get into it.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
So we talk a bit about just the journey through
all of the things, figuring out our life after TMZ
Breakfast Club, and we just have fun with the audience.
Then we had a conversation about showing up and looks
and how you show up. Because Crystal Renee Hazy, let
me tell y'all something about my girl.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Okay, she is pieces.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I saw a post of her on Instagram the other day,
baby big Bulltega Battie. Okay, the Bulltega. Like the designer
brand stuff, is it. I don't feel like you always
have to be a designer to be stylish. But y'all know,
I'm a fashioned girly, so I do love my brands.
But she puts together the pieces, whether they're super designer,
super expensive or not. But oh my gosh, she had
this bag on her Instagram the other day. Ah So

(02:36):
we talk a bit about it and have a little
bit of fun, and we also get in and then
we also get into the whole mean girl conversation. We
talk about whether these empowerment brunches and cruises, like are
they really effective or not? And of course we talk
about just everything ascension wise and things that you guys
have been seeing from me over the last year. She

(02:58):
brought up, you know, everything that tapping here on the show,
including the live HR meeting that wasn't supposed to happen
on their Let's sack a listen my girl.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Laura, Laura, let's go. Hey.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Oh wow, love, Like, okay, how are you.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I'm good, I'm blessed. I'm even really inspired by you.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Thank you. You're brow amazing. I'm serious. You know. I'm
new in the podcast space, your podcast cousins.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
We are Yes Podcast Network, and I'm like, all these
people are here and they're excited, and I'm like, girl,
you you doing this?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
You got my numbers? So oh, I'm gonna call you, y'all. Look,
I'll call you. I love it.

Speaker 3 (04:07):

Speaker 4 (04:08):
We kids off yesterday with Monica and we carry y'all.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Y'all found it so good. I don't really did what
has been your favorite moment so far? You know what.
I had a great time yesterday, like a real good time.
Probably could much fun.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
But when I was walking on the cruise, like when
we were about to get thro all the check ins
and stuff, I was like, this is so flying.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
It's so many black.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Women, and like we just called we're got to get
on this boat and just like do stuff that we'd
be doing. And you know what else, because y'all thought
we'd be doing the things. Okay, we're doing the things right.
But that's been my favorite part though, just walking in
and seeing all of us and then done was doing
a hot girl walk and y'all was singing and just

(04:53):
I thought Picha cold was here and it was just dark,
and I'm like, yo, we really really do be like
so full of because you can get so wrapped up and.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
All the other stuff I make my job.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
So just seeing that has been like such a I'm
like so inspired by having everybody you by, everybody that's
like here and just doing.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
The things that we do.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
There's so many women that I've ran into the I've
seen on Instagram that I followed it I'm inspired by.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I'm like, oh my goodness, and they also keep yeah,
I got like they bye.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
It's all little person and they're so sweet, Like everybody's
some time energy. I love it all right, Before we
take a deep dive in, I'm gonna break the ice
with a little rapid fire. Okay, it's gonna help us
get to know you a little bit. Okay, you're ready,
all right in the perfect world.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Heals sneakers are slides Hell's group chat voice note Queen
or I'll text you later.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Energy.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Try my voice stoves to be podcast voice notes.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
So do they have like where you can act you fast,
like make speed of love? Now were you oh so? Now?
Maybe speeding through my voice notes. I'll be so.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Serious and they'd be a lot happen, and then I'll
come back with the oh my god, so I got
cut off in the last one.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Baby all thought I did not know that. Okay, I
must a girl like you on Instagram. I'm like top
six O, God give me through it. Okay, don't she girl?

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Get up has been my my my thing. But for real,
I future a lot. I'll be I put up, like
when I want to for a little baby, what's the
one that's like, uh, I forget, what's the song? What's
the name of the song? It's hears so many of them,
but no, there's one song that I always listen to,

(06:41):
my little Baby, and it'd be like, how are you
gonna tell us.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
We're never gonna look? What is it come out? It's
like you say something like we the ones so like
we're never gonna fall up a while. Don't know. I'll
figure it out later. But it's this little Baby song.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
And I play that all the time. He talk about
pushing the but then it may back too. I think
I'll got the same song.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
But yeah, little Baby Future, but don't she girl up
it up?

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
I like that one too, So girl get up. She
has been my my theme song recently. And then at
one part where she'd be like, what's the agenda.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
In the it girl black? That one? That little part
right there, that's I'll put.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
It on all my songs and all of that because
I'll be feeling that, like, yeah, y'all be trying to
really play with us when we all hearing doing it up.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
That's so true. That is so true. Are you the
friend who arrives early or fashionly.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Late lates, but you came around your day fashion with her?

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I came early because I was here for my last obligation,
so I was like, all right, let me not go
find any bars because I might not be back on
the time. The little Baby song is called all In,
All In, Yes, that song. Sorry, I had to get
that outdicating to you. All right, here we go something.

(07:57):
People think it's glamorous about your career, but it's actually came.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Charles's sitting in the interviews and talking.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
To people and everybody's like, oh my god, what's your
favorite interview, who's your favorite person to talk to? And
I'm like, it's a blessing. It's I'm maybe not chaotic,
but it's just like you don't ever know what you're
getting and you come into an interview is literally especially
because we it's four of us.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
So it's like playing spades.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
It's like, yeah, so it's like you know what, everybody's
like rolling the room and just died this video and
it was so on point. You know, Charlotte's gonna go
into like the mental health stuff and like the really
deep things and and be going, okay, so take us
back to the beginning.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Just's gonna be funny and she's gonna ask and You're like,
how did that even come into your head?

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Girl?

Speaker 2 (08:40):
But it gives the interview character and color.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
And then I come in with the news and the
media stuff and like that whatever was trending and things
they probably don't want to talk about. But you just
don't know what you're gonna get from a person, and
it can be a little nerve racket, even though we
make it look so easy. Yes, I always am like ooh,
I'm about to access them when I ask this, you
know what I'm saying, all right though, Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
I mean, you don't have choice. Yeah, no, my goodness.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Now I still get nervous when I do interviews.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
He put them on, y'all. Hole, He's gonna put it on. Guys,
go tell me yeah, love me.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Okay. But my friend j Jay Von James, who like
stops me and tells creative direction and stuff for me.
He always tells me, you saving these office girl. Every
day is your day. He always try to stop stay the.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Office, but you can't show up here. Not right, No,
seems I said, m h, I'm crude.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
That's what I'm talking about, us doing the things he'd
be doing.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
There's in a lot of news here, y'all. Yes, I
just love us. Can I give it up? I love
it now, Lauren.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
You've been thriving in the media space for years, but most.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Recently now you have this new position on the Breakfast
Club that we've all listened to for years. They watched
as well. I want to know when you got the
news that this was actually your preferent position and you
were on this show, how did you prepare mentally or
were you already ready to walk into that space? Didn't
really come like that. How you go please do that?

(10:28):
I'm gonna tell them I don't sell y'all do that
one with you? Okay?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
No, But so so let's go back to when I
first got the yes just to have it was supposed
to be one day. I remember they were going to
rotate and see they didn't know me from a canapaign,
and I was doing everything I could just to like
get a shot at the seat because I know I
wanted to quit my job.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
And I was like, cause.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
I'm my background is a marketing so I'm like, okay,
it's a rollout. So I'm gonna quit my job and
I'm gonna total the world that I quit my job
on the breakfast club.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
That's how I had it in my mind.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
So when I finally got the guest the guest host,
they're like, oh, we'll give you a day because they
didn't know me, so they didn't know if I would
come in there and my chemistry wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Work with the guys or like whatever. And when I
got the call and they were like, okay, you can
do the day. Actually you can do two days. That
I was like, Oh.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
I was like, okay, this is the thing all right
fast forward, we get through all the process or whatever,
and I started to see the need Like when I
was there, before there was any real conversation, I just
started to feel like I could add value even if
I wasn't going to be on camera, because at that point,
I think we'd all knew like, okay, just it's going
to be the thirst seed. And for me, I was

(11:40):
just like, man, I gotta pay rent. I know I
can add value whether I'm on camera or not.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
I'm open.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
So I started seeing like, okay, production wise, here's like
some things that I can add to.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
This part of the show, to this part of the show,
to this to that.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
And one day we were talking after the show and
Charlotte Mane was like, do you think we could kind
of sense ourselves more like in the news space kind
of like TMG does. I said one hundred percent. And
he was like, how do you think you could do
it all? I was like, well, you need me and
and then I was like and after that, it's easy

(12:13):
because y'all have the culture.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Like working at tmcall.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Was there for eight years. It's like TMZ is really
great at what they do. Whether you love them or
hate them or love how they do it or hate
how they do it, and they lead conversation, so they're
always relevant.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
But the breakfast.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Club is like that's where the heart is at, Like
that's home, you know what I mean. You trust them,
you want to hear from them, you care about them,
you care about their lives. And when I got in
that room, and I saw that from the inside because
I've been a fan of the show forever, so I
knew that, but being in there, I'm like, oh, this
is like really what culture is like when people talk
about the culture, I'm like, oh, this is really it.

(12:49):
It's the fact that people come here and they feel
safe and like the conversations are safe. They hard and tough,
sometimes are funny, but they're safe. So I was telling him,
I'm like, man, there's nowhere when you look around right now,
who else can marry news possibly being first and leading
conversation with actual.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Culture and trust. There's nobody doing that.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
You guys could be big, Like not be you guys
are I remember saying to.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Him, like do you not know who you are? Like
you're gonna gonna listen, Like Howard Stern could y'all do
with TMS?

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Y'all could run circles with your eyes closed around at TMC.
You just need to figure out what the landscape is
and how you insert what you're already doing with what
I know how to do. And that was the first
conversation we had about it, and then it took some time.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
I was doing a lot.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Of things for like no money, like for a long time,
probably for like months and months and months, And to
be honest, I didn't even start getting paid.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Until I came to like when Jess went my maternity lead.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
That is what made it like a real thing, not
because she wasn't there, but because she said, hey, Lauren
can come in and let her come in here, because
they were trying to figure out what they're going to do.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Up until that point, we were trying to figure.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Out how I was even want to be able to
be paid to be behind the scene because money was
just like you know, right now, people aren't paying people
and entertainment teams are shrinking. So when she did that
and they were like, okay, cool, like let's make it
a thing, they were like, well, we got to find
a way to pair. So at that point when I
came back, I was being paid. Finally, you know what,
I mean so like that was like and that was like.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
A moment Like I remember I was in the car
with my.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Mom and I was listening to the show and I
heard just saying and I was.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Like, she's talking. I'm like yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
When I I was listening to the show and then
Charlotte made texted me and.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Said, hey, I don't know if you'd be interested.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
But just said she would like you can come in
and be here while she's out if you're open to it.
And I was like, okay, cool, but I'm in a
car my mom taking her.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
To like a check up. My mom start crying. I'm like,
what are you crying for? And she's like no, this
is just such a good thing.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Because I was trying to figure out a lot of
stuff at that point, like I had moved into an apartment.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
I didn't even know how I was gonna phit the rent.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
I didn't care cause I was like something's going to
work and stuff out or I'm going.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
To work it all. And then that happened.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
So that kind of like so it was It's there's
been so many iterations of like here's a job, but
it didn't really happen. Like just with that one call, right,
So I hope that answered the question.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
No, it didn't. Thank you for living as an insight
on that, because you touched.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
On so many key points, one working for no money,
being in a position where.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
You needed the money but was willing to do it.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
For free until they decided to pay you, showing your value.
I think a lot of times we missed that moment,
like I just wanna.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Get here and forget the steps to get you there.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah, and I wanna say something too, like when people
were talking about like doing things for free, it's like, Okay,
i'm'na do it until they pay me.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
I didn't think that I was gonna be paid.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
I didn't think I was wanting to have a job there,
Like I knew that they didn't have.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
At the time.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
For what I was being told there, it just wasn't
a role for me. They hired what they had already needed.
I was like, this is the best of the best,
and if I could come in here every day and
learn and be around this until whatever else happens, I'm
gonna do that.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
As long as y'all tell me I'm going to come,
I'm gonna come.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
I didn't do it thinking like, oh, eventually one day
they gonna pay me, I'm and get a job. I'm like, yo,
I'm literally sitting with the best in the industry.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
I wanna be y'all think i'might gonna come in here
every day and axt questions. You know what I mean.
I'm just grateful to be in a space of learning. Yes, So, okay,
I al.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Just practiced this conversation. Was saying that I been asked
about this a lot, and I don't ever mind talking
about it because I feel like all of y'all had
lost it, were able to learn something from it and
be able to see yourself in it. Yeah, and that's
why I never mind talking about it, even though.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Me and Yes are in no way different, says sure,
so I'll say that first, we love her. It's just
a person like that.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
So, you know, I think, if I'm being real, it's
like I I understand.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Like I was able to sit that day and have
the conversation the way that given.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Even throughout the process, a little moments was happening and
it was going marble, and I was like, you know,
I come like I didn't know what was happening.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
I was happening for me.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
It was like if I were in her place, how
would I feel? Yeah, And I've actually been in her place.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
And after that sent when my mom got said.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
When I was working at teams, my mom was bad
in the campus. She stood at him. But when I
go be So when I was working at PMD, I.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Remember I had to take a lee from work to
be with my mom and I got took the roaci
the bay day to day like literally, so I was like, yo,
I'm like trying to stip in teams like I'm a
hospital and all that, and I'm like, I can't do
it anymore, Like I'm.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Not myself right now. I needed to be with her
and go through this.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
They hired another girl, and I remember the black girl. Now,
I mean they hired her. They sat her right where
I would sit it, and they would give her all
you know, they might to hit them.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
So they they were waking like they like because you know,
it's like white people that like be around black people
and then it's like the.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
White white people they're like, it's like yeah, so they're
very like sometimes they can I think people in those
phases can be kind of tone them to what they're
doing in the wise, right, So you have people that
are really upset called me, like why would they sit her?
Like they just pop one black girl off another one
in right, and it was causing Like she was there

(18:04):
and she was being put in positions to do things
and like whatever, and she was uncomfortable. But I've already
talked to her a bit before I sets out, so
we had a little bit of a report.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
But I remember the fan.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Of the shows when they were making it that CMD.
They were making it such a thing with me and
her Man Sash and McClay.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
She U works in Indianapolis now tenC. She's gone around.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
She's gonna be out say for her for uh USA
today though she's doing very well after TZ.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
But I remember which out heard just being like, look,
even when I come.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Back into my my role, or if I don't ever
come back, I want you to understand that, like I
have no issue.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
With business is business.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
You know what I'm saying, And I know it's not you.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
I know that there are things are happening around you
that you might not be aware of, or.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Even if you're aware, there's nothing you can do. You're
just showing enough the other day to work. So mm
fast forward into the breakfast of situation.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
I'm like, Okay, God, now I'll see like you had
me in.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
That situation a few years back.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
And because now I'm able to be here and be like, Okay,
you're showing that every gets the work.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
You're not really in control of what's happening, but you
can't act like.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
You don't know what's happening, right, So I having a
certain empathy first us and it's understanding there like.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
What's also my first time being at ups parent notting.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
And I was like it not.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
M not yet know that was my first time being
that up coasing personal with.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
So H was precant and then just recently had a
baby and going back, I.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Never experienced that that close.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
So I'm like, oh, like when people talk about all
of the things that happen like this, I'm like, oh,
that's a real thing, and I'm watching it happen so
like a woman, I'm like, bro, it's no way that
even though I know she's upset and she don't want
me hearing them, if I can set in she's having
us up there, if I can set in and back
and she says it to and.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Say like you were so hard to be that because
you were coming every day so refreshed, and I'm like, oh,
want of the past, because like I got at once
us personally.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
And I knew that I wasn't her problem.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
I was actually her partner in that, but she just
wasn't at the place where that was something she wanted to,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
And I put the horse set and I.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Also felt like she was like it was above us.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
I just was getting a grunt up it because I
was a physical representation of what needed to happen from
a bigger standing point way from an opator.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
That wasn't happening.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
So as I took all that into mine, you know,
and when everything happened, I was just like, look, I'm
not gonna win, and it's by making this a me
versus using So what can I What I can do
is like I have to come in here and be
honest about how I felt, because I mean, the world
said there's nothing I can do now, and everything's all

(20:44):
play on table, so you know.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
But for me it was important and doing that, it
was like this is how I feel, and this is
how I'm.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, like oh sorry, like this is how I feel.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
This is a lot our acts, but at the end
of the day, I very But that's why I go
to the words yeah, but at the end of the day,
I want, like, there's gonna be other women that are
won't go with some real time time to somebody else,
And even if we walk away from this not liking
each other at all, and it's not that, but in

(21:19):
my mind, I was like, even if that's the kid,
because we never decide to be friends in real life.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
I want to show people that, like, you can have.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
An issue, but like we don't have to allow it
to like like you know what I.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Mean, Like at the end of the day, you won't
vote with some people.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
That only I look present and I'm gonna voting spink
that I mean, you won't understand it because we're both
here in the space and we look like each other,
we both like our person.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
I'm talking to her the first time I met in
real life.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
And she's talk you just tell me, and I'm like, yeah, girl,
this secause I'll be important doesn't mean she's like.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Oh, so you believe them her around, yes, Like like
but I think that.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Women don't get to see that often because remody is
only room for one of us, right, so we all
got your real life, see, like, okay, the conversation are
really going for one of us, it's there because.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
It's like how long are we gonna sit in that?
Like because for real, for real, what just doesn't when
she's great at it's what she.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Does, and when she's great at what I do, what
I'm great at is what I'm doing what I'm great at.
And when you married it too, when people begin to
see that, like man, we have it could be the
relief we have, the news, we have, the mental health,
we have, the issue like we all bring to seek.
You don't mixture into the pot and it works like
in real life.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
I was just like, man, I looked really hard to
get here.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
I can't get this situation and control and change everything
I worked for.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
It cannot, Like I have so many other places to
get it. I love that many people that I think so.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Many women can say something A lot of lady, what
you just said. But I love how you showed we
can have conflict resolution. That's gonna be conflicts, it's inevitable,
but there's a way that we can. And then you
realize we're actually growing life than that. And a lot
of times I think people that we have situations with
the conflict to it.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Once we actually sit down with.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
That person, we see so many different similarities and I'm like, wow,
I actually see myself in yet.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
And you know, I was still coming on this cruise.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
I was like, man, I know Heaven and Suno is
gonna be like real because sometimes you come to me
space and everything, it's like, oh my god, when.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Apartment we're all white and it's like, y'all are not
even nice for real?

Speaker 5 (23:20):
We want to shot, you know.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
What I mean?

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Being here in his space, and cause I know Heather
and what she be on, I'm like, no, she gonna
curate this where it's like if that is your personality,
she gonna break you down before we get back to
where we're going on one.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Day, right, And that's how I decided to come here.
But that was my energy too.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
With that, I'm like, yo, we can do all of
and the mean girl stuff and all of that, but
at the end of the day, it's like we gotta
learn that, like it's us or it's nothing.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
They couldn't platform.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
They're taking black people out of media, they space, They're
shutting our voices down. They don't want people like me
and just people got mad at me because I said,
I love the fact that you got two real.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Black girls like and not be planning of our skin cone.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Because last seed Darston, I'm not talking about that. I'm
talking about like we really from around. We talk, how
we talk, We come from certain things, we eat certain things.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Our nails, our hair are lashes, the edges is laid.
Like we're doing all of that on this mainstream media
black room and you don't see that.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
So imagine if like we're showing it and now you
see it more right, And so now we don't all
have to be in white smiling and don't really care
for each other.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
We know how to work.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
There was.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Ill it's the white So it's like the white guys
talk because y'all know what.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
I'm talking about. If you over there and grips and shrike,
if y'all like goatlet'll talk about it, you actually played too.
So it's so good.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
At the end of the day, I always tell you, guys,

Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
