Speaker 1 (00:11):
You're listening to the Buck Sexton Show podcast, make sure
you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeartRadio act or
wherever you get your podcasts. So are they doing the
right things in Minneapolis to get enforcement back on track?
Tom Homan got sent there, Christine, no kind of stepping
aside A little bit on that one. Our friend Gates
Garcia of We the People with Gates Garcia joins us

(00:35):
now to make sense of the madness. Let me start.
Let me start with this. What was your level of
surprise when we had been told for a few days
that this guy Preddy was a combination of like the
guy from the show er saving lives every day or

(00:55):
I guess the pit which is the modern version of it,
and mother Teresa, because he's just so selfless and kind,
and that's what they tell us. And then this video
comes out that he's attacking ice officers a week before
he gets shot, spitting at them, cursing at them and
acting like a maniac. I mean, I guess it's the
ones you never expect.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Gates, no level of surprise, because this is what the
media has divulged into. I mean, this is what social
media has done to the viewership, in this country. Back
before social media and the media could sort of the
mainstream media could paint whatever narrative they wanted, whether it's
ai edited images of victims or suspects or whatever they

(01:31):
want to do. But nowadays, with social media's ability to
come right out and call the media to the mat
in live time, we're able to see through cell phone
videos who these people really are. So it's the same
thing that happened with Renee Good. They immediately start putting
out images of her where she looks beautiful and she's
this wonderful mother and all that, and then we see
the pictures where she's gone sort of through the woke
transformation and shaped her head and all that. It takes

(01:52):
time for these things to happen, but it's no longer
surprising when they do.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah. I used to deal with radicalization in the Islamic
context and the counter Terrorism Center at the CIA, but
also NYPD and Telln's division, And there was this progression,
and there were these step that you would often see
people follow, and it would be they would change their appearance.
In the case of Islamic stuff, they'd grow out a beard,

(02:18):
big beard, no surprise. Sometimes they would dye the beard
with this kind of red orange color, a hended beard,
trying to emulate the prophet Muhammad. They would take these steps,
suddenly become withdrawn from their friends, start to usually mutter
things about crusaders and Jews and all this stuff, and
then they would try to blow up a bus station
or whatever. Right then the bad things would happen. The Antifa,

(02:41):
including the people that are doing this stuff in Ice.
This is really like an Ice version of the Antifa
Left protests. The same thing. People shave their heads. They
usually get like a like a septum piercing or something,
and they start to show physically that they're crazy, and
their friends start thinking they're weird, and then they show
up in their heroes on MSNBC.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I think it's pretty clear.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
No, it's definitely a pattern. There's definitely a uniform for
these individuals. They are starting to all look alike.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
They certainly purple hair, but I left out purple hair.
Purple hair always right.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Purple hair, the purple hair.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Sometimes it's blue, but you know, it just shows that
these are not first time offenders. It's easy to isolate
one incident as we experience it through the country, but
as cell phone video has shown these people all have
a track record and all have a history of committing
these violent acts against law enforcement. Whether it's the prettie
kicking out the tail lights of the car I think

(03:34):
that was a week before, or stories that we hear
about Rene Good. But look, I actually don't think that
this is the great immigration issue that it is. I
think this is we have a Minnesota issue. Minneapolis isn't
even in the top twenty cities in the country as
far as illegal immigrant population goes. But we're seeing all

(03:54):
the issues there. But we saw all the issues during
George Floyd. We see them storming into churches with Don
Lemon and Saint Paul won city over. These are Minnesota issues.
Local leadership and local law enforcement have lost the grip
on that city. We don't see this happening all around
the country. And unfortunately, the media paints this narrative that
this is who we are as Americans and it simply
as an it's who Minnesotans are.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
What do you think it takes? And my sense is, well, actually,
I don't know yet if you're somebody who likes to
scrap with our own side very much, or if you
really just keep your your fire focused on the communists.
But I saw some people after the initial information operation
here with Preddie dying, where they're saying he's like the

(04:37):
greatest guy ever in ier monsters and Nazis anything else.
I see some people who are certainly Republican members of Congress,
but that's not a surprise. But even some in the
commentary space, we're supposed to be right wing and even
Trump leaning, if not, if not very pro Trump, saying well,
we really need to pull out of Minneapolis. This is
a disaster. I'm like, are you guys really falling for this?
Like how many times do we have to go through this? Like, oh, yes,

(04:59):
give the give the lunatic communist terrorists what they want,
because that's going to make the situation better.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
So okay, I am.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I am a little bit stuck in the middle here
because part of me, like sort of the cynic in me,
wants to just give Minnesota back to Minnesota, Minneapolis back
to Minneapolis and let them have it and just it's
kind of like why I wasn't terribly upset when Montdamie
won New York City. Sometimes we need these real life
experiences happening in real time to show people what chaos
actually looks like and does to a once thriving city.

(05:28):
But the American in me wants to take control back
of our streets. The problem is, and I'd be curious
to kind of get your take on this is Minnesota
is a mess, and it's a mess from all sides.
And I don't think Christy Nome has done us any
favors by sort of some of the commentary she's made
off the cuff right after these events.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
She totally screwed I've said this on radio, So she
completely screwed up. And she shouldn't be in this role.
And I'm sick of all the cosplay and the nonsense
and pretending like this is a good job for it's not.
This is far too important. She's not up for this.
She should step aside. They should make her, you know,
an ambassador to the former Yugoslavia or something.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah, we're totally online there that she doesn't seem incredibly
qualify to certainly be the correct reactionary individual when these
events take place. She she does as much turning up
the volume as Tim Walls does and Fry does there.
And I don't think we need to turn the volume up.
I think we need to figure out how to turn
the volume down. And I like that we sent Tom
Homan in. I mean, Tom Homan's a friend of Democrats, right,

(06:25):
didn't President Obama give him the Presidential.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Medical freedom or not?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
If we can all agree on somebody, it's Tom Holman.
So I do like seeing him there. But but but buck,
if Trump pulls out of it's a catch twenty two
because yeah, I want to see something change there.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Something's not right and what's happening isn't working.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I'm not in favor of just sanctuary cities being run
them up by illegal immigrants. But if Trump pulls out,
it's like, that's just telling demonstrate protesters, excuse me, rioter,
excuse me. In this country that you win if you riot.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Hard, Absolutely you win. So what does he do?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Well? This is why I'm saying he better do what
he's been doing, but just do a better job of it,
meaning have the mission. The mission is go round up
these high threat illegals and do it and keep the
resources there. But just don't say don't have christinoam saying
dumb things. And also make sure these guys understand that
you know, I mean, you know, a lethal force situation.

(07:25):
You're all on camera, everyone's seeing everything, you know. I
think that they need to do the best possible job
of both arresting these individuals while not allowing themselves to
be antagonized to the point where they make a mistake.
Now that's asking a lot. I understand that, because these

(07:47):
guys are getting spitten, having people spit in their faces
and throw things at them and everything else. But this
is exactly what they want. The Left wanted this, They
wanted it's the second one. It's not even the first
time this has happened.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
You know.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
All they have to do is stop having these ice
warriors or whatever they call them, these people that show
up and try to obstruct law enforcement and no one's
getting shot and none of this has happened. They create
the situation and they cry about the situation, which is
the most Democrats are always arsonist and firefighter. They're like,
oh my gosh, the house is on fire. It's like, well,
we're going to fix it.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
There's like twenty links in this chain.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
We can go back ten plus years to when sanctuary
cities were all the rage, you know, even further back
from that under Obama.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
I mean, they created these problems.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
They escalated these problems, and now they're having to deal
with these problems, and it's like, what else is there
to do other than to step on the gas even further,
because I mean, at some point the Insurrection Act is coming.
Tanks are going to start rolling in to Minneapolis, and
we expect lunatic American citizens to come out and riot
and process these things. We've seen this enough, We've been

(08:47):
down this road enough in this country. But what we
don't maybe we're starting to expect this, but what we
should at least assume is that local law enforcement, local
leadership is going to provide some sort of help to
federal law enforcement. I can't imagine that that Fry and

(09:07):
Walls want this to go on anymore. And I can
imagine that they find it easy now to answer to
their constituents when this continues to happen in their city.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
They're not changing their tune and that's not going to help.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
And at some point, and maybe Tom Holman's the answer,
some point, minds have to meet in the middle and
come up with a better solution here. Because they created
these issues, they need to play a role in solving them,
and all they want to do is to ignore them
and essentially make them worse by asking ice to leave
or get the affect gates.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
I got, I got. I gotta tell you something, buddy.
They don't they don't care. I know, they're they're not good.
They're not going to negotiate. They are the terrorists like,
they're not going to change their minds on any of this.
So this is the problem we have is people that
say let's do a middle solution. There's no middle solution.
I know you either achieved the mission or you don't
here so anyway, well we'll come back into this in
a second. I got our sponsor here. Birch Gold. Gold

(09:56):
is fantastic. It's very valuable. People like gold. They have
for a long time. And if you want to get
some gold, Birch Gold who you should go with. I
just bought some gold from them last week actually, and
Birch Gold can hook you up and they are the
people who will want to talk to you and educate
you as well. They're very good about this. They call
the check in make sure customer service has been excellent,
that your goal has arrived, you have any questions about it.

(10:18):
They want you to understand a long term thesis of
the value proposition for gold. In a world where the
governments are all printing money, including ours, the debt's just
getting bigger. There's plenty of reason for this. Until January thirtieth,
your first time gold buyer, Birch Gold's offering a rebate
of up a ten thousand dollars on qualifying purchases. Make
this month your first time to buy gold. Actually, I'm sorry,
they're extending this into February. Now make this your first

(10:40):
time to buy gold, though. Take advantage of a rebate
of up a ten thousand dollars when you buy by
February first. One more time. Text my name Buck Do
ninety eight ninety eight ninety eight. That's text buck to
ninety eight ninety eight ninety eight.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Go for it.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
You tell me, you tell me, you.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Explained it to me.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Well, I think we need to. Well, let me go
back to Minnesota record what was really?

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Sure? Sure? Just what frustrates me about this is no,
don't mind me, I'm just the interviewer.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
No, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Promise is made, Promises kept like this is what we
voted for.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Trump won an election on.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Immigration, but which he's been very successful at We've had
three close to three million deportations, two point two million
of which have been self deported individuals out of this country,
and Trump's first year that's more than the last half
century have left this country net migration in a half century.
So we're doing so much good work. But this situation
in Minneapolis is overshadowing all of that. And what it's

(11:37):
also done is it's taken the eye off of all
the fraud that's gone on in the daycare centers and
everything else under Tim Wallas's watch. There's a reason the
guy can't win the governor's seat again. And we can't
forget that he has done a terrible job. So I
don't know why they expect him to be able to
fix this one or make it any better, but to
fix the to fix the country. I'm I mean, this

(11:57):
is so off topic of ice, but I think we
need to promote I think we need to promote the
nuclear family. I think there is a movement out there
trying to destroy the nuclear family coming after Yeah, they're
coming after all the institutions that have historically supported, grown
and promoted the nuclear family in this country, and the
nuclear families what built America, family values, faith, family, and freedom,

(12:19):
and I see them all under attack. And what really
frustrates me is they've always been under attack from the left.
I'm seeing them now under attack from the right or
people that at least claim to be on the right.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
And I won't stand for that.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
We just had our fourth child six weeks ago, and
I'm trying to outnumber the idiots and have as many
kids as possible because I don't think that there is
a more powerful institution other than maybe the church, that
is the family in this country.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
There we go, Gates Garcia, We the people with Gates Garcia,
my friend. Congrats on the fourth kid. It's very exciting.
I got to catch up. We only got one, We've
got a few more, hopefully on the way.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
You'll get there, man. It's the best.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
We're working on it putting in the world. Thanks for
being part and we'll talk to you soon.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Thanks Buck,
