Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to the Rogue Recap. Hot takes, cold facts, and
zero respect for the official narrative. Sit back, roll your eyes,
and let's recap rogue style.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
What's up, guys, and welcome to the Rogue Recap and
this edition of Soundbites with my dear friend Eric Eggers,
who is currently taking a moment from the high life
to join me because he's actually away again. As you know,
these savant elite educators often do they take these luxurious
lavage breaks in the summer. I don't know, you know,
(00:52):
I work in politics. We don't get breaks. Oh wait,
I'm sorry. Unless I was a senator, then I would
get like three hundred days. So I've clearly picked the
wrong profession. But mister Eggers, how are you?
Speaker 3 (01:00):
I'm actually not trying to be an elitist American. I'm
just trying to be a blue collar European because apparently
they get eight weeks the twelve weeks of vacation every
year and they can just go on these walkabouts or
whatever you like to call them. But no, it's it's hey, listen,
just because it's the summertime, the news doesn't stop. As
the number of clips we're going to play today. It's
been the wild this week. I know you and I
(01:21):
both kind of freaked out about everything that happened to
Lindsey Graham and all the different angles sit there and
the Mitch McConnell pictures and it's just it's a wild,
wild time in the news.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
It is and best comeback ever because manner you right,
the Europeans, they get it right. They take off the
whole month of August, which those of you who have
ever traveled abroad and you've made the mistake as a
dumbass American and you get there, like, where's all the people, bro,
And they're like, yeah, we left. Sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
So just to be clear, all the World Cup tourists
in the country this month are just pregaming for their August.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
So funny.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
And you wonder why socialism has the appeal that it does.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yeah, no kidding, I'm like, I guess that's what happens
when you have terrible hospitals and nowhere to go. You're
just like, I'm going to live, you know, life to
the fullest carpet dim because you know what, I'm gonna
die real soon and they're not being able to save
me because they spend all the money on vacation. So
Mitch McConnell speaking of which, yes, what a crock of shit.
Oh my god. This is one of those moments when
I saw that post and I was like, first of all,
(02:22):
who puts you in Gingham?
Speaker 5 (02:23):
Mitch?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Who did this to you? It's just long? I mean,
Elaine must really hate you, you know. And so then
you know, everybody does what everybody does now because and
I was just talking to you about this off camera,
but you see something and then you run it through
the AI detector because you're like, no, this can't be real,
can't be real. And of course his came back can't
be real.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
Now.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
What's interesting about that is that photos from twenty twenty three.
So I'm wondering if the whole photo from twenty twenty
three is also a lie because that was also from
a rehab stint that he had. So I was like, huh, anyways,
but all the other stuff in the photo was fake,
(03:03):
So that would the AI part.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
I think.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
So I actually think I went the other way on it.
I think everyone thinks that they put out that fake
photo to show that Mitch McConnell was like alive, and well,
I actually think they put it out to make it
look like Elaine Shaw was hanging out with Americans instead
of Chinese, like she's liked, no, I'm I'm here with
my husband, not doing anything crazy over in China.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
Come on, talk it on.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So there's this girl. I'm sure you've seen her too,
Desiree Townsend. She's like the lone reporter covering Mitch McConnell.
Have you seen this girl? No, I actually have a
cut of her. I might show it to you. She's fantastic.
She's like outside of the hospital where Mitch currently is
and she's like, yeah, day thirty two of covering Mitch. Interesting. Yeah,
(03:47):
so no pneumonia, no severe illness, no broken bones, but
we haven't seen him and he's on a floor of
this hospital that only has sixteen beds. So it's like, okay,
that sounds very covert and slightly intense, like maybe we
need a lot of space for a lot of machines,
(04:09):
so we don't have space for beds. I don't know,
you know, asking for a friend. But there's no audio
of him. There's like every like Scott Jennings when he
released that post. I like Scott, I don't know, I
was like bro what do they have pictures of you?
Like what happened? Like everybody knows you're lying, Like because
(04:30):
we're normal and he seems so normal, And I was like,
what going on?
Speaker 6 (04:35):
I just talked to miss McConnell.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
He just finished up his P ninety X workout and
he was getting ready. The problem is, like we did
this before, not too long ago with Joe Biden, right,
I mean, like, so we've been here, and I do
think it's just in a series of the last six
years between COVID and the election and then Joe Biden,
like we have been routinely lied to by the people
(04:57):
who should tell us the truth. So you can't blame
people for being skeptical and you know, whatever's true, Like
I mean, everything about Lindsay Graham's heart condition, all that
stuff might be absolutely true, but it doesn't mean that
people are going to have questions, especially with the circumstances
of you know, coming back from Ukraine and the drones
and he's the last video apparently he's in is saying
like this drone is going to go to Russia, and
(05:18):
you know Russia doesn't take that stuff.
Speaker 6 (05:19):
Lane down. It's just a lot there.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Well, not to mention the fact, you know, I'm not
going to speak ill of the dead. And I happened
to be affiliated with a lot of people who like
Lindsay Graham. But I had a lot of questions about
Lindsay Graham's choices on mostly international matters, and one of
them was the frequency at which he was with Zelensky,
(05:43):
how often he was visiting Ukraine, how readily he voted
for more funding to unmonitored monies to Ukraine. I'm like, hmm,
it seems weird too, dude.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Hey, by the way, Mitch McConnell too right. I mean,
remember remember it was like the government shutdown was going on,
and Mitch McConnell and I think Lindsay Graham, They're like, listen,
the number one priority for Republican primary voters is Ukraine
fund crank. That's very clear to us. I'm like, what
it's like, who are you talking to now? It's just
it's really it's really interesting and good for that reporter
who's hanging out around Mitch McConnell's a hospital.
Speaker 6 (06:16):
You know, that's a it's a line.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Your reporters have stopped being curious, right, And I read
this interview about this guy did an autobiography on Obama
or biography on Obama, and his thing was like, here's you.
You have a guy, it's about Joe. Biden's got these
like weird, you know, weak mental faculties. And you've got
to sit at former President of United States living in Washington,
d C. Where were the reporters who should have been
camped outside his house in Georgetown to watch who's going
(06:41):
who's not going. I mean, that's what reporters used to do.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Well remember to that point, and it's an excellent one.
There were a few reporters that went to the White
House wanted to get the White House logs. I think
it was just before we were about to get the
break on the classified documents in the residence in Delaware,
and so we were trying to find out who had
been at the White House. Now, this happened twice during
the Biden administration. Once was when they couldn't figure out
(07:06):
whose cocaine it was and the second one. The second
one was who was going in and out to meet
Joe Biden because they were trying to figure out who
the big guy was. Right, obviously we all know who
the big guy was. There is no mystery the whole idea.
Like I said the other day, and I've been saying
this more frequently now that I am a common sense advocate.
People are like, oh, you're a conspiracy theorist. We have
(07:28):
no proof of that. I'm like, well, I have eyeballs
and i have ears, and so it's a super cool.
I'm using my two of my five senses. I'm putting
them to work, and they're they're doing a great job.
They are.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
You're what we like to call a forty percent utilizer,
So great job on that. You know, maybe should start
licking the news. Then I think you're a little bit concerned,
maybe too much, but.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Sure, let me show you this girl. We'll just play.
I actually use this in a show I did the
other day. But I love her again. Her name's Desiree Townsend.
She is in front of the hospital currently that holding
Mitch McConnell, and she's got so much snark in SaaS.
I just love it.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
Desre talented here again outside of George Washington University in Washington,
d C. For the medical mystery that is Mitch McConnell.
Today marks day thirty two of Senator McConnell's hospitalization for
what his office is officially described as a fall in
a mild pneumonia, making his nearly five week hospital say
increasingly unusual an issue by his office. Mcconnald is currently
(08:30):
in rehabilitation. Likely in the hospital is a cute rehabilitation unit,
a sixteen bed facility on the fourth floor here. According
to George Washington University Hospital, it provides twenty four hour
rehabilitative nursing care for patients to require at least two
types of therapy following conditions such as a brain injury,
multiple trauma, stroke, or neurological disorders. Based on the official
(08:53):
description of his condition, a fall with no reported broken bones, fractures,
or concussion followed by mild pneumonia, a hospitalization approaching five weeks,
along with an extended stay in the acute rehabilitation unit
does not align with his publicly stated current condition.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
So what is going on here?
Speaker 7 (09:11):
Perhaps Mitch McConnell does not want to return home to
his DC home until his wife, Elane Child finishes installing
the new floors, or possibly could it be GW is
overbilling Medicare. Maybe just maybe someone is actually lying about
what happened to Senator McConnell.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
That's amazing. I love her.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
She's out there every day, God bless her. And I
just think she is such a bawler. Absolutely no, like
no's given right.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
She's just like and it's again like using your common sense. Okay,
so he's got this medical condition. They're saying it was
related to mild ammonia in a fall. Meanwhile, like we've
seen him freeze on multiple occasions. Now, it's it's just bad, right.
And I do think that the sad part of it
is like if they think they can get away with
it because they have gotten away with it before, like
and there's relatively no consequences after the fact, I mean,
(10:03):
and they should think that Yeah, yeah, no, I.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Know and so and I think another part of it
is and this is me going, this is me going
on conspiracy lane, everybody. I've got a little got a
little condo there. I'm just letting you know. You know,
there is some speculation about who's doing all the voting
for him. It's not him, So is it that staffer
that we know is not on our side of the aisle?
Is this part of the John Thune, let's keep the
(10:26):
pro form of voting gone let's keep the Save Act
far far away, because he's got one point six million
dollars coming in from cheap labor lobbyists. You know, there's
so much here. And the problem is, and I say
this all the time, as do you, the average American
has no idea that this is happening, like none, So
they can't follow it, they can't get pissed off about it.
(10:49):
And we're having how many hearings this week? Right? We've
got Amy Cony, Barrett, Elena Kagan, Kevin Worsh, Todd Blanche
I'm like, could anybody else testify on the hell this week?
Speaker 8 (11:01):
Right?
Speaker 2 (11:02):
It's it's a lot. I mean, it's a lot for me.
Oh and by the way, we're going to bomb me
Ron the first three nights of the week. Oh and
the President is doing a national address today. Today's Thursday
for those of you listening.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
So none of these yah, so one of the hundred people.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
And by the way, like when you've only got a
three vote majority, no, it's it's like it matters. It's
a real thing, right, It's a real thing. There's a
lot happening in the world. We need the people who
we've elected to be there, just be honest, and again
he's got till, I believe August third to say he's
not going to live out the remainder of his term
or serve out the remain of his term for them
to have a special election.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
And guess what August requires, you know what August third is.
August third is the last day that we can pass
the Save Act to be within the ninety day rule
of changing any voter rules or compromising anything to do
with voter role integrity prior to a general election. Just saying,
(11:57):
you know, just again using these senses, We'll just look.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
At your star charts over here, Linda, I don't even
know the.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Baby Jesus was like eyes ears, use them go, you
know on you. So anyways, speaking of common sense, Mary
Miller of Illinois, who I think is terrific. She's really
she's kind of funny and dry, and she's definitely somebody
who like kind of low on the radar, and then
she pops up with like some snarky comments, which she
did this week. They were questioning, uh, this DEI stuff
(12:27):
that's coming up throughout universities, and she's got literally the
two deans from the medical schools of UCLA and UCSF.
So these are Ivy League institutions, right, okay, and they're
supposed to put out the best of the best. And
she's having these conversations very seriously with them, and they
(12:47):
are answering her with the most absurd responses. I mean,
I've heard some things. This is really it's it's actually
painful to listen to them attempt to not answer with science.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
As doctors well, and because they have because there are
like medical officials with the university, So there's like a
certain you know, there's magic thinking. They have to adhere
to you or at least not overtly contradict and that's
I think the dance you see them having right now.
Speaker 6 (13:14):
It's great.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yes, So we're gonna play two clips. Here is number one.
Speaker 8 (13:21):
Doctor Haygood.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
You see.
Speaker 8 (13:24):
You see SF's classroom guide titled Framework for Gender and
Sex Concepts and Teaching Advice us against using the term
pregnant women. Instead, it says to use pregnant people who
are pregnant people compared to pregnant women's curious.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
So that is part of a curriculum to help our
students who are facing a wide diversity of patients. Of course,
the vast majority of pregnancies are in women, and I
have absolutely.
Speaker 6 (13:55):
Wait, what problem with using the words?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
You know?
Speaker 5 (13:58):
Women use itself?
Speaker 8 (13:59):
A non biological woman had a baby?
Speaker 5 (14:04):
A transgender person can?
Speaker 8 (14:06):
That's not a biological woman? Has a non biological woman
ever had a baby? Iterate?
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Ridiculous?
Speaker 5 (14:14):
We take care of transgena doctor like.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
The vast majority of people become pregnant women, vast majority,
almost all of them, almost all of them.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
So now that was u CSF. Let's go over to UCLA.
Speaker 8 (14:29):
Can someone have a uterus but not be a woman,
because it seems like your school is promoting that ridiculous idea.
Speaker 9 (14:37):
I think again, as doctor Hogood has described, we're greeting
transgender people, but we're doing that in compliance with state
and federal law.
Speaker 8 (14:49):
And you just teach biology, Yes we do. I'm going
to ask you again, can someone have a uterus and
not be a woman? Just say yes or no?
Speaker 10 (14:59):
Can they.
Speaker 6 (15:01):
Again?
Speaker 5 (15:01):
I read it?
Speaker 2 (15:06):
This man, this is a learned man. This is you
have dr in front of your name. You've spent countless
hours reading books about the body and physiology and biology,
and you can't say yes, uteruses come in women. End
of sentence, full full.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Stop at least he could have done with the other
guy did the vast majority of people with women in
my experience, I just can't.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
And God bless her. She's like, this is ridiculous, please stop,
and that's here's the other thing, right, and then I'll
get off my my. I hate trans soapbox, this idea
that we all had to subscribe to, the lunacy that
is transgenderism. I'm out, like, go, do you you want
to chop off your penis, split the banana, put boobs
(15:56):
on your chest, take your boobs off. You can do
all good for you. Do it at eighteen, live the
rest of your life on SSRIs as well as hormones
and other you know, inducing drugs to make you what
you think you are, and good luck with your life.
But not everybody around you, Like did you see the
woman who got sanctioned. She's a gynecologist and a trans
(16:18):
woman shows up with a dick and he's like, I
need to be examined, and she's like, I can't exam
you don't have a vagina, Like this just is this
is a real conversation.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
And he went, Chick fil A doesn't serve steak and
I don't actually treat this particular.
Speaker 6 (16:39):
I mean, it's insane anatomy.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, I have to find that story for next week.
But I read it. I actually read it about a
month ago, and I was like, I can't even imagine.
You see this person come in. They obviously have some
masculine features you don't want to judge. You tell them
to disrobe and put on the medical gown and they,
you know, spread their legs and you're like, oh, yeah,
I can't examine that in the way you would like
(17:01):
me to. And good luck, sir, ma'am. Good luck person,
got nothing for you. So, speaking of what is a woman,
my favorite congressman right now, Brandon Gill had a lovely
exchange with Ayana Presley, who I despise as much as
you can despise one person, her and her husband and
their race baiting lib tardation constant I have special interest,
(17:26):
special funding. He just got another grant or some other
contract I think it was with the state of Massachusetts,
and he just keeps getting these amazing contracts and bids
that no one else in his entire industry is able
to get, and no one can figure out why it's impressive.
Speaker 6 (17:42):
But she'd lovely He's got a network of support.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
It's incredible. People love him. Yeah, not me, but other people.
So this is Brandon gil putting her on the spot.
It's priceless.
Speaker 8 (17:57):
And that is why I've introduced legislation to add that
you write amendment as the twenty eighth Amendment, enshrining it
as a.
Speaker 6 (18:02):
Law of this land.
Speaker 10 (18:03):
I'd be happy to look at your Equal Rights Amendment
and read through it.
Speaker 6 (18:07):
I guess my biggest question was does it define what
a woman as We'll take a look at it.
Speaker 10 (18:17):
Was hoping for some analytical clarity, but thank you, we'll
take a look at.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
I mean, I'm like, is Kaitanji around? We should ask her?
She has the best answer for this question. Let's ask her.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
You know, I don't think I don't get time in
the show to hear Katanji's answer to that. Dude, it's
going to let take up the next twenty five minutes.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Did you did we talk about that where they did
that compilation of time? Oh yeah, so she talks more.
Oh yeah, all the other justices combined.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
She got something to say.
Speaker 8 (18:50):
I did not know.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
I did not know that she could beat Kamala Harris.
But indeed she's making some salad. She's at it. She's like, Yep,
you're welcome. It's a real thing.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
And what's funny is like the Democrats, and I know
you've got other clips to get to, but if you
wanted to go to the James o'keef thing, so like
Democrats will show up for this, right, Like Democrats will
show up to like introduce this kind of legislation to
kind of champion the sacred cows. But when it comes
down just like stuff that's like saving people money or
actually enforcing the laws, as other independent journalists have like
(19:21):
then stepped into the void to try to do.
Speaker 6 (19:23):
Democrats can't be father about very good sad.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
See, So if you're listening and you're not watching, we
just showed a hearing room on Capitol Hill where James
O'Keeffe and Nick Shirley were testifying and explaining to the
representatives that were there about the fraud that's happening across
the nation and not just Mark at nineteen twenty three, okay,
(19:55):
and not just you know, medicaid frauder Medicare fraud. You know,
James O'Keefe is doing some really deep dives into election integrity.
People going to skid Row getting homeless people to sign ballots.
He's traveled the whole country chasing down these ballot people
that go and just have an entire household where they're
saying one hundred people live there. Nobody lives there. It's
(20:17):
a condemned location, like it's insane, or they show up
and the people that live there are like, who's using
my address? Who's using it? Is crazy? And not one
Democrat came to hear not one.
Speaker 6 (20:29):
That's it's part of it.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
It's it's part of a much larger story, which is
I mean, it's kind of wild, and I know it's like, uh,
you know, we'll get into like this the Tim Waltz
story later, but it's the Democrats don't just like not
and it's just objectively right, like this is not like, oh,
lives are bad, but seriously, like Republicans are attempting to Hey,
we're gonna have hearings, we're gonna try to enforce the law,
(20:50):
and it shouldn't be a partisan thing. Is like like
fraud is a crime, right, Like we should all be
in favor of enforcing the law. But instead Democrats seem
to not just not be interested in helping enforce the
law that you saw a no Attorney general show up
when they had the Anti Fraud Task Force with you know,
Vice President Vance the other day. Like they oftentimes go
(21:11):
the opposite way, they like actively impede the effort to
stop these investigations. So, I mean it doesn't shock me
sadly that no Democrats showed up to this hearing with
James with Keith Nick Suley, because like, what would they say, right,
it's not good politics, I guess, to come out in
favor of anything that exposes the fraud because they oftentimes
are being practiced by their voters.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Not to mention the fact that they're not just not
showing up, they're actively stopping it. I mean they are
passing legislation with Nick Shirley's name in it that says
stop Nick Shirley. There's a four year old kid with
an Osmo camera, like.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
And they know.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
So that was in California, right there was like the
whole state Nick sure or they got what got dubbed
to stop Nick Surely act.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
But it's actually worse than that.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
We talked about this in a podcast I did with
Peter Schweitzer. But it's like the frame he just actually
got beat in a primary by one of those New
York Democrats socialist candidates. But there was legislation that was
sponsored by the first ever former illegal immigrants to be
elected to Congress, Espala, and he would have actually stopped
these federal agencies from being able to purchase the data
(22:18):
to be able to look and do like the analysis
to be identified the people who are committing and practicing
the fraud. So it is like it's not just at
the state level's at the federal level too.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
And that's what I'm saying. It's crazy. It's crazy that
they like actively impede in the efforts.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
But like Rob Bonta, who's the age out there, you
would think he'd be like, oh my gosh, this guy
is incredible. He's going to save my state millions of dollars,
And instead he's infuriated.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
He's going to cost me millions of votes, is what
he's going to do.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Yeah, yeah, And I'm like, wait what. But I think
it's even more sinister than that. I really do think,
because this is this is again going back to my
condo on conspiracy Lane. I don't think they need the votes, right,
They're going to get the vote six way to Sunday.
They have so many different methods by which to rig
and to steal and to navigate elections in order to
(23:06):
get the outcome they so desire. Hence the need for
you know, thirty seven weeks to tally the votes. It's
you know, utter nonsense. So I actually don't think it
has as much to do with the voters as it
does the money. And I think they're on the take.
I think that they've got some sort of you know,
plan worked out where it's like, look, i'll look the
other way. I'll make this work for you. I'll show
you that you get these millions of dollars. But you
(23:27):
know there's a big just so you know, and I'm
gonna want a little you know. That's what I think
it is, you know, all day, every day, but in
any event to that point of election integrity. Joe Rogan
had on the vice president and he's asking him, and
Joe Rogan is. The thing I like about Joe Rogan
is is he is very matter of fact. Like I
(23:48):
can't lock in for three hours pretty much for anything,
because I just don't have that kind of time. If
it's not work, I'm not doing three hours. But this
was a great interview. What did you think of it?
I know you're our election integer, the expert.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
No, I was just laughing about you know you and
having to work for three hours at the time, Like listen,
I understand the struggle is real. It's yeah. No, I
think the JD. Vance is interesting. I think he actually,
I actually think he is authentic, even though he comes
off sometimes as not that.
Speaker 6 (24:18):
I do think that.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
And Joe Rogan, you know, God bless him, like for
providing a forum for people like that to be able
to just get into this stuff. And I think he doesn't.
He doesn't just do like loaded stuff, right. I do
think he's going to like ask challenging questions and you know,
kind of have like an intellectually honest debate, which just
makes like conversations like this about election integrity so refreshing.
And I do think we're evolving as a country as
(24:42):
in terms of our ability to have a real conversation
and so it's very important to talk about it in
the right way. And I think Jad Advance did a
good job of talking about it here.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
I agree.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
I think they cheat.
Speaker 11 (24:53):
I think they've been done it forever, and I don't
think there's any other reason why you would have no
voter ID.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
And they try to say, oh, it's racist to have
voter ID, Like, what are you talking about? Do you
think other races are incapable of going to the d
m V.
Speaker 10 (25:07):
That's insane, It's that's it's actually super racist, that's really right.
The implication of their argument is literally like blacks and
Hispanics cannot go to the DMV to get an ID.
By the way, if you look at the polling, black
Americans are as pro voter ID. Even though the most
Black Americans vote Democrat, there's still pro voter ID as
much as white Americans is.
Speaker 8 (25:27):
Most Americans are voterized I except for operatives.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
So to that point, there's there's another class of people
that he left out there, and that's this stupid women's vote.
People like, oh my god, they want to take away
our vote because we get married and we can't change
our idea. I'm like, I'm sorry, are we in the
seventeen hundreds? Have we all just gone back as what
the hell are you talking about?
Speaker 6 (25:51):
Wait, we waited for the letter to arrive via.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
I mean really, I'm like, I don't I don't actually understand.
And it's it's infuriating to see you, like when I
saw Meryl Stream come out.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
And and by the way, I'm sorry, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
No no, please, well.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
I was just gonna say, like and by the way,
it's like the whole like Nate Bargazi's got like this
hilarious thing about like how is like Nate versus Nathan
or whatever, and like the Delta's like, I don't know
what we're gonna do about this.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
It's like I think, I think, I think we can
get past this.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
Like if the idea doesn't match up, they will still
let you cast a provisional ballot. Like no, one's not
casting a ballot because the name on your ID doesn't
match like the name on the voter registration. There's a
number like in fact, like in Los Angeles, they just had.
The reason why it takes them so long to count
these ballots is not just because of the late arriving uh,
like you have this extended window, but because of all
(26:41):
the signature verification that's required to go out and thing
called curing the ballots. So they literally go out and
track people down and make sure that the signatures will
match up. If they get flagged on the front end,
so of course there will be mechanisms for people to
get their vote to count in those instances.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
It's ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
It is ridiculous, and I think it's also it's one
of those moments where I always say, like, okay, so
let me get this straight. We're flying people to Mars,
we create an AI and we have self driving cars,
but getting ID with a new name on it bridge
too far. Bro, That's where you cross the line. I'm like,
(27:20):
all right, not to mention the fact, and you and
I have discussed this. The Save Act bill is thirty pages,
thirty two pages. This is not a deep read. It's
you can get through it, do ten pages a day.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
Yeah, it's not a Tolstoy or Charles Bon's guys.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
We got not warm piece. Guys like, yeah, we can,
we can do it, you know what I mean. And
this is the stuff where I'm like, okay, it's it's
so infuriating that you'll say to somebody why do you
think that? Or where does that come from? Or have
you read and they freak out. Whenever anybody freaks out,
I'm like, okay, so what you're saying is you're unable
(27:57):
to have an intelligent conversation. You need to blow up
up because that's your defensive mechanism to what's actually happening here,
as opposed to saying, you know, I didn't read it.
I have no idea what it says. All right, well,
so read it and then let's talk, because I.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Think you would have to go or even just like
I had yet to invest the forty five seconds required
to think about how how appropriate or inappropriate would be
actually require someone to have an ID to vote.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
No, it's and the same people that don't want the
ID for you to vote will not let you into
their event unless you have ID. So can we just
please for a minute anyways? All right, So Mike Lee,
who's been the stalwart of this thing, so we've got
just to be clear, we've got Tuberville Mike Lee. Jim Banks,
(28:41):
Senator Cruz says that he is behind the Save Act,
although quietly, which I find troubling.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
No, I think he said recently he's like, I'm willing
to do anything it takes to pass it.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
Okay, Ted, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Okay, Well, Ted, you've been super quiet, so you know
how about that? So we've got Ted and then we've
got but you know, John Kennedy, who's alignce hack of shit.
He likes to pretend like he cares, but he does,
and he's using that Oxford educated Southern twang to make
you feel like he cares. But behind closed doors he's like,
you better not vote for that shit. All right, we'll
take your committee assignment. That's what's really going on. But
(29:16):
Mike Lee comes out I think it was last night
this clip is from and he's talking about the parliamentarian.
So the new angle has been this parliamentarian, which we've
talked about, was appointed by Harry Reid who is a
raging lunatic Liberal but kept through Biden and McCullough and
is buddy buddy buddy with John fun anything to add
(29:40):
to that, I felt like, you.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
Well, well, I just did.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
I think that's actually what we lose with Mitch McConnell
and Lindsey Graham is you lose people who understand like
all the urricane rules and how to actually get stuff
done or keep stuff from being done in the Senate,
and they don't think people appreciate how complex it is.
But the parliamentary it is absolutely that's the guy, right.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
So and here's the problem with her. She is not
somebody who likes Trump. She is not somebody who's just
being objective, and people are saying we have to honor
what she has to say. Mike Lee had this to
say about the part, and this is Mike Lee. He's
the most respectful person. I mean, honestly, it's shocking.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
In the coming days, there may be a fair amount
of conversation about budget reconciliation and about what can happen
on budget reconciliation as far as getting significant parts of
the Save America Act, or at least some of the
benefits of the Save America Act pass through budget reconciliation,
which allows us to do it fifty one votes without
a sixty vote closure vote. One of the arguments you're
(30:47):
going to hear over and over again is we've got
to protect the parliamentarian. The parliamentarian's rulings have to be
sacrif saying they can't be overturned. Nobody's calling for the
parliamentarian's rulings to be overturned. Why Because the parliamentarian doesn't rule.
She lacks that power. Only the presiding officer rules. The
(31:09):
parliamentarian merely offers advice the presiding officer whether that's the
Vice President of the United States, the President pro tem
or the acting President pro temp, meaning a senator from
the majority party who is assigned at regular intervals to
fill in in the absence of the Vice President. It's
the presiding Officer who makes the ruling. It's then up
(31:31):
to the Senate to either sustain or overturn that ruling.
In most contexts, it takes a simple majority vote to
overturn the ruling of the chair. In budget reconciliation, it
takes sixty votes, so the math changes. But regardless, look,
there is nothing sacred about the rule of the Senate Parliamentary.
(31:51):
Nobody elected the Senate parliamentarian. The Senate parliamentarian occupies no
constitutional post in our system of government. So don't believe
those who say that you've got to protect the parliamentary
and at all costs. It's not her vote that matters.
She doesn't have a vote. It's the ruling of the
presenting officer that matters.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
He is, in my opinion, such a valuable asset to
the United States. He is so well read, so incredibly informed,
and actually one of the people who does understand the
arcane rules of the Senate and the legislative body that
it is.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
Ironically, it's the Senate parliamentary who's been keeping miss mcconon
on the hospital too. She has yet to get him
in the green light to say now we can get
off the tubes and come back to work. No, it's
she's got a lot of power, as it turns out. No,
he's you love him.
Speaker 6 (32:40):
I know that he is.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
He is an ally and I think he's a true teller,
and he is unafraid to say things that other people
seem unwilling to say. And I do think that that's
his important voice in the conversation we need to be
having right.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
And I will tell you I had an interview with
Clint Brown. I don't know if I told you about this,
but Clint Brown the former executive director of the Senate
Steering Commission, and he's worked with all of these people,
and I did. I did an interview with him a
couple of weeks ago, and I asked him, I'm like,
is it true that we can't do this or we
can't do that? And he went step by step through
(33:16):
why we could do all of the various things to
bring the Save Act forward, how we could nuke the
filibuster what we needed to do that and one of
the things that we talked about that I thought was
really interesting, and I don't know that we would ever
do it, but I feel like if we're going to
now's the time is the Vice President is allowed to
come into the Senate, rule over the Senate and call
(33:36):
someone other than the majority leader to open the session
right at which time they could bring the Save America
Act to the floor for a debate and a talking filibuster.
If that happened, it would be the exact same process
that happened with the nineteen sixty four Civil Rights Act
and the process of going through that when it was
(33:59):
debatedmocrats didn't want it, and then they had to express
why they didn't want it, and the more they talked
and the longer they went and the worse they sounded,
they started to dial that back until the point that
they were able to pass it. It would be the
same exact thing here. Then we'll get to see all
of the rhinos who aren't supporting right now the same
(34:22):
of America Act, because they're going to have to come
up to the Dais and make their point. Are you
against her? Are you four? Which one is it? And why?
Speaker 10 (34:30):
So?
Speaker 2 (34:30):
I'm thinking we're definitely going to get our votes because
none of these spineless, feckless wonders have the balls to
get up there and tell you to your face, oh sorry,
I've been stabbing in the back. But now because the
microphones here in the cameras here, I'm going to tell them,
you know, yep, gonna pass the say Aact. Suddenly we're
going to have those votes. Now, what do you think
about that?
Speaker 3 (34:51):
I think it's brilliant. I guess I'm skeptical because I
feel like, look at they really wanted to do it.
I mean, the rules and the mechanisms exist, and that
so that you just laid out one pathway to do it.
I think I've said before on this show, but in
talks to some of the people I've speaking with, you
could amend the real ID Act that's already on the
books to just require you have to show a real
ID for federal elections, and that would essentially accomplish the
(35:13):
same thing, require an ID. So, I mean the mechanisms exist, right,
It's kind of like Donald Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship.
That may not be the right way to do it legally,
but like, there's probably ways to accomplish the same goal
when it comes to crime voter ID there's multiple pathways.
So the issue to me is less logistical and it's
more ideological.
Speaker 6 (35:33):
Clearly there are.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Republicans in charge in this country who don't want to
happen for whatever reason. That is the bigger That is
the bigger issue than like we have yet to find
the practical pathway.
Speaker 6 (35:42):
To make it happen.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Well, I tell you what we're going to be looking
over the next two weeks, because that's all we have
left now, because these are together, you.
Speaker 6 (35:48):
Said August third, August I was taken.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Because November third is our general election, so can't wait
to see. All right, We've got a few more clips
before we end the show. One very sad clip for
the those of you remember this case. There was an
Indian national who was here illegally and he crashed into
very very slow moving traffic with an illegal CDL license
(36:12):
that was given him by the state not out of
the then California and killed three people on the spot.
And for those three lives that he took, he is
receiving wait for it, four years and eight months. This
is a quick recap of that incident.
Speaker 12 (36:30):
Now take a look at This is exclusive dash cam
video that is now the subject of several law enforcement investigations,
shows the moment a red Semi truck plowed into a
number of vehicles on the west Dound ten Freeway in
Ontario just after one pm yesterday. The CHP told the
La Times the driver of this big rig is a
twenty one year old man who is now under arrest
(36:53):
on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. A
total of four semis were involved in also four passenger vehicles,
one of them exploding in flames. Three people were killed
and four others were taken to local hospitals. This horrific
crash happened just east of the fifteenth Threeway and shut
down all westbound lanes for more than twelve hours.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Thousands of drivers.
Speaker 12 (37:15):
Were tracked the gridlock just as the evening commute was
getting underway. It also happened near the Ontario Airport. To
the crash likely delay people that were trying to get
to their life.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
I mean that for those of you that are listening
and not watching, when you see that truck plow into
these cars that are literally sitting still when they say
slow moving, I think that they mean like crawling, like
they're not moving and then this rig just comes from
nowhere and crashes. These people did not have a moment,
(37:48):
They didn't have a second to react. They were literally
dead on impact.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Yeah, if you kill somebody, let alone three people for
driving on the influence. No, And like the video just
shows you how like harbor Thicke it is. It wasn't
one of those things where I mean, unfortunately, I've had
a number of instances of the legal immigrants to other
people who have been involved in fatalities. You have to wonder,
you know, I'm reminded of in Minnesota they met they
(38:16):
passed the law said that you have to take the
race of the criminal into account when it comes to sentencing.
Like that's like like their post George Floyd, where like
forget about what the laws is, it's like what race
is this person and are they like overrepresented in the
legal system, et cetera.
Speaker 6 (38:32):
And you kind of just have to wonder.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
It's a bizarre, but it matters because like if this
person was not an illegal immigrant, would they be getting
the same sentence or were they be getting a harsher sentence?
And I would just say, I know, people, I'm aware
of cases where you have fewer fatalities but a different
race of offender who got a much harsher sentence.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
Well, they actually put a side by side of this
when this news was released, because he was just sentenced
yesterday and it was so sad. They had a young
white woman who is a pro life protester, right, So
she goes to various clinics and she tries to talk
to people before they go in and just say, hey,
there's another way you don't have to kill your baby.
Speaker 8 (39:13):
Right.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
She's currently in prison for protesting at abortion clinics for
four years and nine months.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
What they call it the Face Act violations, right, Yeah,
so that's insane.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
The Face Act violation garnered her the same amount of
time as an American white woman, as an Indian national
under the influence of drugs in a nation that he's
not support. He's here illegally from Biden, taking drugs and
has now murdered three and injured four. Oh and he
shut down the road for twelve hours.
Speaker 3 (39:44):
So do twelve hour I mean that's a tragedy, like
the three people have died obviously, is like a tragedy
beyond anything else.
Speaker 6 (39:50):
But I cannot imagine being stuck on the road for
twelve hours.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
And you're stuck, You're in a horrible accident scene.
Speaker 6 (39:56):
I can't move, can't move as what if you're on.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Your way to the hospital with your pregnant wife or
somebody's having a heart attack. How many other you know
that ripple effect?
Speaker 3 (40:05):
I'd also say it lines up with the other clip
we have, which is is Tim Waltz and him and
Keith Ellison and Minnesota, right, so same, Speaking of Minnesota,
they're hardening a Vietnamese or yet national who was convicted
of theorially raping a child starting in the fourth grade,
(40:26):
and you know Marko Rubia and the donal Trup administration
of Lens eventually deported him. But it's almost like they
took this step to pardon this guy, I think because
they're trying to keep him from being deported.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
No, they one were. They literally said, oh, hey, you're
the guy who rapes ten year olds, right cool, Yeah,
we're going to pardon you and you can stay here.
And as if it could not get worse, Tim Walls
made it worse. He came out and said this after
he this national was removed by Marco Rubio and you
(40:59):
know President Trump, where Marco Ruby was like, I don't
actually understand why we need to keep a child rapist
in our country. He's here illegally. This is enough impetus
to kick him out. Have a nice day.
Speaker 6 (41:09):
See you right? Yeah, this isn't hard. But here's his answer.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Not yeah, here's his answer.
Speaker 6 (41:15):
Did that make us any safer?
Speaker 2 (41:18):
Did that make the children that are left behind any
more stable?
Speaker 8 (41:21):
Did it improve the idea that.
Speaker 6 (41:26):
We can't all be judged by our worst day? And
I want to be very clear, these are horrific crimes.
They often are.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Our worst day.
Speaker 6 (41:36):
It was a number of days, at several days.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
And believe it or not, there are people who believe
deporting a child's sex offender does make the area that
he's been deported from safer. That's not necessarily controversial opinion.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
But again it goes back to this conversation with these
liberals who are saying things like you can't call them
a pedophile, you have to call them minor attracted persons.
What is happening? No, No, it's just pedophile. It's you know,
if I see you and you're like I can't even imagine.
Speaker 6 (42:06):
No, wait, I know this one. No, that's a pedophile.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Yeah, ding ding ding. So now, in the complete antithesis
to this, we have the Polish president, who I kind
of love, and he's a real hardline conservative, and someone
is asking him about people that would come into Poland illegally,
and he's at this event where he's celebrating and promoting
(42:29):
the remigration effort for all of Europe, and this is
the question he's asked. In his answer, it's pretty great.
Speaker 11 (42:37):
So it's sometimes Ki, you're here, Parsi, savior of Act
for remigration.
Speaker 6 (42:42):
Why do you support formigration though?
Speaker 11 (42:43):
Because I want my future daughter to be alive, not
ray and Kal is that it out is a good
reason important.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
Put In is quite a protected country from immigration.
Speaker 11 (42:53):
I mean quiet, it's zero. We don't have illegal migrants.
It's not quite protective. We did not let them in
and zero zero.
Speaker 6 (43:02):
It's because you're afraid of what you're.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
We're not afraid.
Speaker 6 (43:04):
We're smart, we are brave men.
Speaker 8 (43:06):
Look at me.
Speaker 11 (43:07):
I'm not afraid of anything. We are brave, we are strong,
we are not political correct, we don't give a shit.
We take care of our families.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
Some parliamentaries of the European Parliament.
Speaker 6 (43:18):
Are afraid of to like support the immigration. No, they
are greedy. They are looking for cheap labor.
Speaker 11 (43:23):
That's what happened when Al America started this madness. This
is why they paid the price now because of the greed.
Speaker 6 (43:30):
They are greedy.
Speaker 11 (43:31):
They don't care about future generations. They're thinking about themselves,
about today. It doesn't matter what's gonna happen in ten,
twenty or thirty years. They don't care.
Speaker 10 (43:39):
We do.
Speaker 11 (43:40):
That is the main difference. Their civilization and our civilization
is completely different. We are thinking about future generations. Can
you see the difference. We are patrios. They are headonists.
That's the difference.
Speaker 8 (43:52):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 6 (43:53):
Cheer Cheer.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
Kitchen. I clip of the day. Like that guy is
such a baller. I love him. He when he said
he goes because I don't want him to rape my
future daughter. How about that? Is that good enough for you?
Speaker 3 (44:09):
And by the way, like shades of what Donald Trump
said in twenty fifteen when he comes down the Golden
escalator and he said, you know, they're not sending their
best people.
Speaker 6 (44:17):
They're sending rapists. They're sending these people.
Speaker 3 (44:19):
I mean literally that, and then the media in America
goes crazy about it, and that's like what launched the
next decade of Trump arrangement syndrome.
Speaker 6 (44:26):
So that for that guy for giving zero fs.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Yeah no, not only giving zero f's but speaking our
language and our curse words, well done. I appreciate it.
I recognize you, sir, and thank you very much. So
all right, well, I was on the Save Act. Next
week when we do our show, we'll have one week
left for these idiots to screw it up. I can't
wait to see what President Trump does tonight in the speech.
I think I hear it's like mind blowing what's about
(44:54):
to happen and what he's going to release.
Speaker 6 (44:57):
I may or may not have had a little bit
of a.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
I'm marginally aware of some stuff, so I think, yeah, yeah,
stay tuned.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
Is it like, where is it on the scale of
oh shit?
Speaker 3 (45:09):
I think it's a I think it's to your point.
I think it's more like, hey, here's some data and
we're going to use to justify what we think, like
how we can get there without you know, kind of
having to come up with the filipbuster and that kind
of stuff. Right, So I think it's more like things
are much worse than you believe, and because they're much
worse than they're going to qualify in a certain category,
(45:30):
which allows us to do certain things.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
Fantastic. Okay, On that note, ladies and gentlemen, you heard
it first from our expert elitist, Eric Eggers, currently vacationing
like a proper euro We will see him next week,
hopefully back in his home studio. I am Lynna McLaughlin.
He is Eric Eggers at Eric Underscore, Eggers at Lindamick
at Roague Recap recap dot com. This is soundbites and
(45:52):
we'll see you next week
