Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up and welcome. This is the Rogue Recap and
you are here with your host, Linda McLaughlin. She is pissed, off, outraged,
and has zero patience with what seems to be an
epidemic of entitlement and stupidity. Here we talk about all
the things the other shows just don't or won't touch.
(00:20):
Make sure to like and subscribe to her podcast so
you'd never miss an episode.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Well, hey there everybody. It is Wednesday, February fourth, and
I am Linda McLaughlin. This is the Rogue Recap. Please
follow us Rogue recap dot com at Lyndmick at Rogue Recap.
Would love to see you there and would definitely love
to hear what you would like to hear on the show,
because the whole point of the show is to talk
about things that other people aren't talking about, or to
(00:48):
talk about the things that everyone's talking about in an
honest and different way. So today I wanted to focus
on decorum, or rather maybe the lack thereof. So who
is our Treasury Secretary? He is an incredibly educated, refined,
an eloquent man. This is not someone who speaks off
(01:11):
the cuff. This is not someone who speaks of things
he does not know. He is always on point and
truly is one of those people who speaks to add
to the conversation. You know, some people talk just to
hear themselves talk, and some people talk to say, hey,
just want to let you know that we're going to
be doing X, and we're going to try why and
(01:32):
hopefully we get to Z and does so in a
way that is interesting and entertaining and informative. Then you
have people like what we saw today with Maxine Waters,
who was starting to be so insulting during an exchange
that she had with Scott Bessant that she ended up
(01:55):
telling him to shut up. Now we know that Maxine
Water is crude and just not very bright and older
than shit, and probably should have been removed from Congress
a long time ago. She also has some interesting financial
situations going on with her daughter and what her daughter
(02:19):
makes and some allocations of packfunding and such. But I
mean that seems to be the Democrat playbook. I mean, hell,
it seems to be the Rhinos play abook too, So
I won't go down that rabbit hole. But they were
talking today during this exchange that Bessent gave before the
House Financial Services Committee. Waters shockingly is a ranking member
(02:42):
on this committee, which I'm sure is just tenure because
she's so dumb, but she wanted this yes or no
answer on tariffs, and you know, bessen is trying to
explain right and begin to answer, and she's just screaming
at him and literally saying reclaiming my time, reclaiming my time,
(03:06):
which if you know anything about Maxine Waters, that is
literally like she should trademark that expression because she says
it all the time and it's absurd. And so Bessett
continues to try to answer. She says, can you shut up?
And I'm like, oh my god, Like, is there no
And he says, He's like, can you maintain some level
(03:26):
of dignity? Like you're so gross and you're so aggressive,
and this is the Treasury secretary. And what's interesting is
when Barack Obama was in office, when Biden was in office,
when Kamala was in office, if things happened during exchanges
with people that were in their administration, from the right
(03:48):
to the left, there was this very hostile and extreme reaction, right, Oh,
you can't talk to these people like that. They're elected officials.
This is the will of the people, which now we know,
give the audit that's happening in Atlanta, Georgia. Perhaps all
the votes that Biden got may not have been so real.
But we'll leave that there for a moment as we
(04:08):
look into more of that, and I have no doubt
that there is going to be more and more coming
out of that, as the FBI continues to look into it,
and as the DNI director Tulcy Gabbard is now involved
at who was complicit in assisting in the fraud which
there seems to be no end to. But Maxine Waters
(04:29):
has this history of just saying the most egregiously revolting things.
You know, you get in their face, you tear them up,
you go out tonight, you shut them down, and I'm like,
who talks. You're a congresswoman, you know, And it's so
it really is just enough. I remember during one of
(04:52):
Barack Obama's State of the Union addresses and Joe Wilson,
who was a Republican congressman, yelled at you lie in
the middle of the State of the Union, and everybody
was like, I mean in and uproar. It was like
the biggest deal, right. And now you fast forward to
twenty twenty six, and it is disgusting. I mean, we
(05:15):
have members of Congress during committee hearings just screaming at
each other. And I will say truthfully, I am completely
in totally against these committee hearings. I think they are absurd.
I don't think they offered the American people one ounce
of clarity. It is literally just entertainment and these people
enjoying their moment, right. I want to be on camera.
(05:37):
I want to be noticed. Every once in a while,
there's somebody who really stands out, like Brandon Gill of
Texas when he had his exchange with Jack Smith, and
he was basically saying to him like, I think you
might be using the law in a way that no
one else ever has because it's not legal. I mean,
this kid's not even he's not a lawyer. You know,
he's like in his thirties, you know, young dad, young husband,
(06:01):
elected to Congress, and just doing his best to ask
honest questions. And it's funny what happens when your questions
come from are a place of authenticity. You're just you're
just asking, You're trying to figure it out. So anyways,
I thought that that was something to be looked at today.
You know, there were a few people that were just
(06:22):
making some really gross and inappropriate comments, you know, from
from the DAIS, and it's just it's unnecessary. And whether
it's Eric Swallwell out on his you know, talking posts
crushing ice and saying they all he's gonna take away
their licenses and arrest them when he gets into office,
(06:45):
or Nadler saying you know that they have the right
to kill these agents because they have masks on and
you don't know that they're an ICE agent. I'm like,
I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure they're in uniform. Like, it's
just I don't know. There's just there's a lot going
on right now, and I think it's silly for the
left to claim that they are the party of tolerance
(07:07):
and they want peace and they want love and kindness
and acceptance. They should just be honest and say we
want to kill the right. We can't stand that euro
up for law and order. We can't stand that you
don't want any legal immigrants here because we need our
voting base, So we're just going to flip the script
and screen. Now. In addition to that, we're seeing this
foundational issue, which is people leading their students into protests
(07:30):
on the streets. And the reason that they're doing that
is because they're trying to indoctrinate our kids. So tonight
in LA, we've got middle schoolers and high schoolers that
are currently heading over to federal buildings and protesting. And
it's a walk out from their school. So they're leaving
(07:51):
their school. They're protesting in you know, in front of
a federal detention center. They've got the LAPD and riot gear,
the growing things at the LAPD.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
You know.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
I was just saying this the other day to my husband.
I said, you cannot defend yourself as a conservative in
this nation. You know, when these throngs of Antifa cartels
come to you and they attack you. I mean, we
saw a group of high school students beat up a
teachery yesterday. We've seen Nick Sorder and Nick Shirley attacked
(08:23):
by groups of Somalis and groups of these anti ice,
anti government people out in the street. They're guarding the street.
They're saying that you can't pass through unless they run
your license plate through their tracker. I don't even know
how the hell any of this is even allowed. I mean,
you try to drive through that they attack you, they
attack your car. At what point are you allowed to
(08:46):
protect yourself? At what point are you allowed to stand
up and say, hey, you scumbags, get away from my car.
All you blue hair freaks running around blocking the road,
blocking my way. I don't give a shit about what
you're here for. I don't care what you're doing. I
(09:07):
don't want to be a part of it. I just
want to drive my car down the street and get
away from you. But they've decided that what they're doing
is more important than what you're doing. And then when
the LAPD or the Minneapolis Police Department or the Ice
agents or Department of Homeland Security or Border Patrol, whatever
(09:28):
law enforcement or officer happens to be there, whoever they are,
decides that they are actually going to enforce the law
that you are breaking in the name of social justice
or whatever bullshit use your excuse you're using, then they
all get upset. Oh they fired gas at us, They
ran us over with their cars that I was standing
(09:50):
in front of and kicking the shit out of and
breaking the lights on. I mean, there's just no common
sense or rationale. And the problem is these are kids,
These are middle school and high school kids. And let
me tell you something else. These schools have a liability.
When you send your child to school. They are supposed
to be in school. They are supposed to be safe,
(10:11):
They're supposed to be in those buildings learning for a
set amount of time. I'm wondering what insurance policy is saying, Hey,
if you want to take your kids out on an
unauthorized protest in the middle of the street, throwing things
at Los Angeles police officers in front of a federal building,
(10:31):
we got that. We'll cover that for you. Am I
the only one asking this question? There's if I was
a parent and I was home, and I've seen some
of this online, parents finding out that their kids were
forced to participate, or because they didn't participate, were antagonized
and threatened by not just other students who have been
completely and totally brainwashed, but the teachers and the supervisors
(10:53):
and the security and the counselors and the principals are
attacking the kids. I have to tell you, there is
nothing more sacred than our children. And if we don't
start protecting them against these rabid lunatics that call themselves educators,
we're going to be in a world of trouble. We
have to stop. It's not a thing. And I know
(11:16):
that there are there's a lot of news right like
people are super hyper focused on things that are happening
in their communities, that are happening in their local environments.
But we are on a precipice right now really of
just complete and total civil unrest. I'm watching what's going
on in Iran. I'm watching these people march through the
(11:37):
street and get truly murdered, point blank range, grandmothers, babies,
people of all ages, shapes and sizes, marching for freedom
against you know, the Islamic regime. There is not a
peep out of the Hollywood elite. There is not a
button that I see on anyone's any star at the Grammys.
There's nobody going into People magazine saying I escape this
(11:59):
horrible thing. We don't have any of that. And they
are begging the Americans, they are begging President Trump to
come and rescue them with a little bit of access
that they have to the free world. And then you
have these people, you know, at Columbia University, you got
Jewish students at Columbia chanting God bless America. And then
you got the pro Palestine students chanting death to America,
(12:23):
and there is there's just no way to bridge that divide.
And part of it is too a lot of these
young people that are out there protesting and saying that,
you know, get out Ice out and fuck Ice, and
you know, we hate the police, we hate all leos
of any kind. This is one of those things where
(12:43):
you get to a spot and you say, at what
point do you realize that you are supporting the people
that are hurting children, You are supporting the people that
are hurting them in you are supporting the people that
are murdering American citizens. Nobody is out there looking at
(13:08):
all of the names of the American victims that their
lives have been taken too soon by people who are
here illegally. But yet they'll stand out there and they'll
support these Antifa rioters. I've heard more about Renee Good
and Alex pretty than I ever heard from the left
about Irena Konutzka, who literally was taking the railroad home
(13:30):
at night after working at a pizza shop. Oh and
she came here illegally as a refugee from war torn Ukraine,
just saying nobody gave a shit about that immigrant, and
that's the kind of stuff that we see as bias.
You know, many people, including the Department of Homeland Security,
have been putting out these ads of all of the
(13:50):
American citizens, some of them as young as two and
three years old, taken by illegal immigrants in their actions.
And then they'll say, well, you know, yeah, sure they
killed this person, but they were for ten years, yeah,
ten years illegally. If they were never here, that child
would be alive. That's what we're trying to say. But
it's so against their social wokeness. They can't even get
(14:13):
outside of themselves to see the forest through the trees.
You know, there was a guiy toed Aay in Colorado
drunk as a skunk and he was pulled over. He
had three kids in the trunk of his car. Nobody
thinks that those that police officer that pulled over that
guy and save those three kids. You're not happy about that.
(14:36):
Who are you supporting in that situation? Don't get me wrong.
I haven't had the best of interactions and encounters with
police officers. In fact, they've all been not so great.
But if my choice is to side with the people
that are out there saying that they want to come
into our country and murder people, or they want to
go out there and protect and the kids and get
(14:58):
the pedophiles. It's really not a hard choice. I'm not
going out in front of federal buildings, I'm not throwing
bottles and rocks at police officers, and I'm sure as
hell not protecting pedophiles. And I really don't understand what
the Democrats message is on any of us. When you're
leading kids out of their assigned time of learning to
(15:20):
lead them against police officers and riot, we are. We're
in deep shit, guys, and we got to get out.
You've got to take a stronger interest in your kids
and fight back against these woke assholes that think they
have a right to indoctrinate them with unfounded beliefs. We
gotta do it. We got to get back to God,
and we got to get back to morality, and we
(15:41):
got to get back to common sense. I know it's
a foregone conclusion. You would think that would be easy,
but it's not. I am Lynda McLaughlin. Thank you for
listening tonight. We are going to be back here tomorrow.
